Doin’ some current reviewz today… Tha 2nd review I have for today iz for Lil’ One The Champ “Are We There Yet? Vol. 1”. Let’s see what’s up! Start Time: 4:06 PM | End Time: 5:26 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Say I’m A Lie”
There are no features listed on tha source I got it from so hopefully, I can identify ‘em. Anyway, interestin’ title so let’s see what’s good… >>> Ooh, D. Jackson on tha beat here, lol! You “been in jail?” Who would’ve guessed? I guess this iz you introducin’ yaself ta me… You even have a “girlfriend.” One of tha more betta D. Jackson beats here so y’all hooked up wit GR8 chemistry! Thanx for tha introduction-type 1st verse. Tha hook sounds good wit tha quality; real shit here! You holdin’ down tha 2nd verse too wit your gr8 rhymes. Looks like anotha GR8 CD fa me! Lookin’ forward to a hard copy and puttin’ this on my radio show! Good 3rd verse too… Where’d you come outta? I heard you on Beat Flippa’s “Street Certified” and now, a CD, lol? My Rating: 4.7


02. “Go Stupid” Feat. Young Nest
Lookin’ forward; let’s see this one… >>> I don’t know tha beat tag in tha beginning but it sounds like you’re like everyone else in tha hook wit tha “smoke/drink;” lol, who taught you how ta drink, lol? Just wonderin’; sounds random fa someone I’m hearin’ more about outta nowhere… I like tha “navigation” part in tha hook; I heard someone else’s “navigation” go “tha dumb way” when I (think I) was radio editing yesterday so that’s a pretty catchy part. Tha 1st verse sounds good… You got a lotta rhymes on tha table. Young Nest on tha 2nd verse? I’ll put him in tha feature (‘cause I think I spelled his name right) and iz he tha producer too? He must not be from BR since he was “headed to tha Rouge;” iz he from H-Town? Pretty good verse from him; it’s at least average. Damn, what’s up wit this minute-long beat outro? Could’ve added anotha verse? My Rating: 4.2


03. “Golddigga”
Uh oh, here comes a female topic, lol! >>> Interestin’ call in tha beginning… I guess you lost your virginity too wit how you’re spittin’ these rhymes… How long have you been around? Maximum in my brain iz two years… Interestin’ wit tha 1st verse and you makin’ tha hook sound pretty catchy. You even know a lot about these “hoes” for tha 2nd verse. You even have friends? Damn, how you get all these things so fast? Tha 3rd verse good too… So, “Jay The Talent” did this beat, I see… Catchy for tha topic. My Rating: 3.9


04. “Dreamin’” Feat. Max Minelli & Pac-Mann
Let’s hear this one. >>> I hear Max Minelli in tha beginning; not sure if I feel tha production though. Real good rhymes from Max on tha 1st verse; I wonder what you’ll put in this… LOL, even you “strugglin’?” Everyone “struggles” but no one “struggles” wit friends or anything? Not bad for a hook… I guess dat’s you on tha 2nd verse… “Two beautiful gurls;” this iz someone on tha feature? I can’t picture you havin’ two kids… Okay job wit tha 2nd verse; this izn’t really up my alley too much. Okay, I think this iz you on tha 3rd verse; I dunno who was on tha 2nd verse… A lil’ betta for this song but I believe Max had tha best verse. My Rating: 3.6


05. “I Be Out Here” Feat. Trae
This one looks like it’ll be good; let’s see and if there’s any production/features!! >>> Tha production’s REALLY on point here!! Anotha “Baton Rouge ta Houston” collaboration? Tha hook’s an A+ “street”-type here; DEFINITELY inta it!! GR8 content for “tha streetz” comin’ outta tha 1st verse! I like dat “mirror” line! LOL, tha feature’s Trae? How much –ginity did you break (e.g., non-Louisiana-featureginity)? It sounds REAL HOT wit him on here; just as good as tha Max Minelli verse!! Very consistent wit how he delivered tha verse and just comin’ through NICE fa you!! My Rating: 4.6


06. “We People”
This one’s 5:36? Betta not be boring! >>> “??? Productions” for tha beat. Ehh, gay start; I can’t stand these boring-ass beats wit samples in tha hook. Not dat bad when I hear you come on tha 1st verse but certainly not my sound… Good job wit your content for tha 1st verse. Tha 2nd verse ain’t for me… Some of this family-related content’s too personal for me to handle. Can I have tha #1 song on here again? Tha 3rd verse sounds a lil’ more interestin’ wit this “brotha, 13, slangin’;” what do “people” lose their virginities at 10 or somethin’ in Baton Rouge? I can’t understand “people,” especially tha typical-ass ones! How can someone “gangbang” at dat age too? They should be original and collect things. They also should respect those wit Autism! My Rating: 2.9


07. “Take A Picture” Feat. C-Loc
>>> Damn, NO anticipation and all of a sudden, a Savage production for tha start here!! Ooh, C-Loc in tha beginning too!! DEFINITELY a surprise fa LUCKY #7!!! Nice, catchy hook from C-Loc! You’re on tha 1st verse and it sounds like you’re feelin’ good; your style reminds me of A.R. a lil’ bit… Real good rhymes in tha 1st verse; buku shit you’re spittin’ in order ta get people ta “take a picture!” Loc iz on tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty cool… Not much ta say… Tha 3rd verse iz you and it sounds like you’re at least 24 or somethin’ wit tha way you’re rappin’ about everything goin’ on. Pretty cool… “Kandace” from Big Faces Ent.? My Rating: 4.3


08. “4 The Streetz”
Good look “4 tha streetz!” >>> Tha producer I think’s from #6? Sounds betta here and this iz pretty cool. Anything dat’s “4 tha streetz” iz DEFINITELY good, ya dig! Tha 1st verse iz you holdin’ it down “4 err-body!” Very motivational for a track right chea! Tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ more personal wit who you “do it 4…” It’s aight though… I used ta help people out easily ‘til about 2007 when a bunch of people took advantage of me. Dat’s when my family started stereotypin’ black people but now, wit y’all in Louisiana, y’all gon BREAK dat stereotype in my family ‘cause y’all tha REAL deal!! My Rating: 4.2


09. “Precious”
I dunno… >>> Damn, horrible hook!! I could careLESS about anything in this song; tha hook destroyed it! Please, do NOT mix “thug” and “streetz” wit A-Tune; it’s 0% “street” when there’s A-Tune!! When can I suck on my toes? My Rating: 1.8


½time: Kinda rollercoasterish so far… I like when you hold it down “4 tha streetz” though, ya dig! But yea, most of this iz pretty good; 3.8 iz tha average CD rating currently.


10. “Come Home”
Startin’ off tha 2nd ½? >>> Why two of these kinda songs back ta back? Enough of this sorrow-type production… For people “locked up?” Shouldn’t be sad on tha beat; they put themselves in jail. If you ain’t alert, then you put yourself in jail. There’s so many typical people in tha world so that’s why people can’t avoid ta go ta jail. You sound like you’re givin’ a lot in tha 1st verse… “Keep ya in my prayers,” huh? How long you been prayin’, yet, how frequent? I been prayin’ fa my boy Yung Yola ta get outta jail since July 2009, EVERY SINGLE DAY… I don’t MISS a day!! Tha hook’s really positive fa tha inmates… Glad you got a heart fa this shit; I might boost tha rating on this song due ta how positive you’re keepin’ it here. Instead of a 3rd verse, it was a bridge; different… I’m surprised you’ve dealt wit so much in your life… Damn, OVA FIVE people in jail? My Rating: 3.8


11. “You A Ho For That”
Let’s see what path we’re on… >>> Slow start. Sounds like tha last song but now, a girl’s soundin’ a lil’ creepy @ :44 in tha background… I thought this was for tha “hoes” but it’s for tha dudes dat “act like hoes.” Interestin’ but I dunno if this needed ta have a female singin’; sounds too upsetting or somethin’. Even though tha content on tha gurl sounds good, I rather it be a rapper? LOL, that gurl part was a whole verse? Tha 3rd verse sounds real as hell for tha content. Definitely a good song and a GR8 dispel to tha fakerz! Whoeva iz fake should not even represent fa anything! I can’t STAND when people act tha same as everyone else!! It’s like, am I tha ONLY dude COMPLETELY original?? My Rating: 3.7


12. “Still I Stand”
>>> Ehh @ tha production again… Sounds like you just live wit so much shit? A lotta troubled-type language in this… Tha hook’s okay but tha song’s gettin’ borin’ once I’m hearin’ tha 2nd verse… This iz gettin’ a lil’ too lyrical. Tha good thing about you iz you didn’t approach me wit some homo-ass “my music sounds different than most BR”-type shit. Like my grandma says, “Everyone puts extreme amounts of sex in their things;” I’m completely original ‘cause I’m not all about dat shit right now. What’s wit all this “let it breathe” shit? Ahh, I’m gettn’ itchy!! I feel annoyed all of a sudden but will give you a lyrical rating fa this one. Lyrical Rating: 4.4 | My Rating: 3.0


13. “Throw Out”
Can we have a betta sound? >>> Okay, so it’s “Post Productions?” Snappin’ beat? Tell me this gon sound like a typical song… How funny dat you go from extremely lyrical to typical wit tha lyrics… Sounds like every otha rapper so far on tha 1st verse so I’m not crazy about it. Tha hook sounds cool for some reason… I like all tha repetitiveness… Pretty sexual on tha 2nd verse? Iz dat a feature? My Rating: 3.1


14. “Boomarang” Feat. Jimi Jump & Nasty Nate
LOL, I have a feelin’ this’ll be good ‘cause of tha title. >>> Same producer and same content, only a lil’ more catchier this time. “Everytime I be in there, I prolly spent a G in there;” really? Can I have some money if I make a commercial for you? You must have a SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITLOAD of money if you can “spend a G” quickly in one place! Ooh, glad ta hear Jimi Jump on tha 2nd verse!! I radio edited some of his songs yesterday so you KNOW I’m glad ta hear him, 2009/2010 style!! He sounds like he’s had sex at least 100x or somethin’ wit how he comes through, lol. I still don’t know how everyone does it like dat… Who’s dat on tha 3rd verse? “G-Y-A-N-C-L-O-G-I-S-T?” LOL, GR8 intro ta a verse!! I like all tha spellin’… Can I know who dis iz? My Rating: 3.9


15. “Freaky”
Damn @ all these female songs in a row; I guess tha streetz are only meant for tha beginning? >>> Same producer once again and it’s slow this time. I think this gon bore me… Too typical wit tha way tha sample sounds. “et—et/ex—ex,” lol? I like how you came through like dat on tha 1st verse… Tha rest iz just okay but I have no comment… My Rating: 3.4


16. “It’s Alright”
>>> My God, slow production from tha same producer again? WTH iz this? Why singin’ wit “beefin’?” Sounds like collidin’ contents dat don’t match… Sounds like Carl Thomas but it also sounds like I’m listenin’ ta current NY Rap or some shit. Tha dayz of Ja Rule & J-Lo have been ova fa how long now? Songs like dis sound aged… No comment. My Rating: 2.3


17. “Listen”
>>> Damn, I can’t get a moment? Tha hook doesn’t even sound like it delivers a complete sentence… Sounds too Kanyeish? Talib Kweliish? Tha 2nd verse has all kinds of Baton Rouge facts; on a beat like this? Please, up tha production!! My Rating: 2.7


18. “Bring It Back”
>>> WHAT? NOW YOU REVIVED THA CD? So far, betta production!! Well, tha hook’s a lil’ weird at first… I thought it was a The-Dream sample or somethin’. WTF? You have A-Tune on this? Prepare for a 2.9 or lower rating!! Oh, you got scared when I said dat ‘cause you dropped it? Oh… Tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ betta but sounded a lil’ gay towards tha end of it… Kinda gettin’ a lil’ bored towards tha end… My Rating: 3.5


Overall: Started off GR8 wit tha 1st song, went on a tiny rollercoaster ride and then, tha 2nd ½… Not even ONE 4.0+ rating in tha 2nd ½… I dunno what happened but aye, dat’s you. Keep up tha gr8 work… collaboratin’!
