My 1st eva interview wit someone in tha music business!!
Trakk Boii Interview by FrankieThaLuckyDog on 4.09.2010:
How'd you get the name Trakk Boii?
- I had started callin' myself J-Dawg but they had anotha rapper in New Orleans. So then, people were goin' 'round like, "Man, you make some fiya tracks! You should call yourself Trakk Boii," so I took it to the head.
How'd you hook up with Foxx of Trill Ent.?
- Aww, yeah, man, dat's my dawg, man. We met up on MySpace like back in '06. We chit-chatted from there and I told him I wanted to make music. He heard the song, "I'm On (Is You)," and he wanted to hop on it.
What are some words to describe your rappin' style?
- Some say I sound like C-Murder, some say I sound like Mike Jones, some say I sound like my cousin Kidd Kidd [Cash Money]; I have that mixture. Like, Rap, Gangsta, R&B, Hip-Hop, I come wit it. My style is based on everything with what's goin' on wit the music right now.
Who produces your music?
- Myself. A few artists doin' some thangs for me like DJ Big Wayne wit Bad Azz Ent., Mod Productions from Donaldsonville, LA, Kami-Chizzle from Texas (originally from New Orleans), but mainly, it's myself.
How long did it take to make your CD, "Hate Me Or Be Like Me"?
- Four years; I know it took a long time. But, things were goin' on wit the label and artists were fallin' off. But, about six months ago, I was droppin' song after song after song. People was askin', "When you droppin' the CD?" So from there, I dropped it.
What label you represent?
- Infa-Red Entertainment/G.T.M. (Get That Money) Entertainment
What can we expect from you in the near future?
- I'm workin' on a new mixtape right now called "The Art Of 16". It's like a mixtape wit 16 bars on everybody's beats. And, I have an album comin' out 'round February 2011, July 2011 called "Trakk-Minded". It'll be my first album dat I'm workin' on right now.
