Aight, I finna continue doin’ what I do best and dat’s review! This next one iz AquaForce “Burgundy”. Not sure of what to expect so let’s see what happens… Start Time: 10:23 PM | End Time: 11:15 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Burgundy”
Startin’ off wit a title track I see… Let’s see what I think of you… >>> Tha beat iz aight… I like how tha hook sounds wit tha dude in tha background contributin’, ya dig. LOL @ “tha fuckin’ new year” and how you said it! Cool shit in tha 1st verse… Pretty good rhymes bein’ spit in tha 2nd verse too; thumbs up ta tha catchy shit. My Rating: 4.0


02. “The Topic”
Let’s see what kinda “topic” you on wit dis joint… >>> Sounds like a cell-phone anthem, lol? Dat gurl sounds hot on this. You got tha rhymes on lock here, ya dig. Likin’ tha consistency of tha rhymes! Definitely stayin’ on “topic” here! Tha 2nd verse has some good shit bein’ spit; gotta feel it. Almost sounds like Lupe Fiasco here… My Rating: 3.9


03. “Megaman”
What kinda “megaman?” I guess I have ta listen ta find out, lol! >>> Oh, AquaForce iz a group? That’s cool… Tha beat almost sounds like dat Kidz N Da Hall song from ’07 (“’Til The Wheels Fall Off” or somethin’). Maybe they sampled it or somethin’ ‘cause it sounds like an old beat here… I like all tha rhymes bein’ spit in tha 1st verse; interestin’ shit. I hear tha hook now and it sounds cool… Str8 Hip-Hop music right chea. Tha 2nd verse has a lot of consistent rhymes; good shit! Glad y’all flowin’ through nice on a fast/uptempo beat! Tha 3rd verse DEFINITELY keeps this goin’ wit tha “hot venom on tha track,” ya dig! I like tha “you in defense mode, we’re ready ta attack;” thumbs up! My Rating: 4.3


04. “Charles X”
Interestin’ title; what’ll I expect fa not even 1.5 minutes long? >>> Sounds like a gr8 Wu-Tang Clan beat here; glad y’all rappin’ ova it. Y’all give it a nice NY feel wit tha rappin’ here; feelin’ it. Nice job wit tha good rhymes! How come tha vocals at :50 sound low? Catchiness ‘til tha end! My Rating: 4.2


05. “The Reeling” Feat. Passion Pit
LOL, this iz an interestin’ jacked beat ta hop on! Let’s see how y’all handle it! >>> Sounds good wit tha intro (neva really heard tha original; just always heard tha Dean Coleman mix Music Choice Dance always played and I remember tha sounds). Pretty good rappin’ on this hot beat right here! LOL, tha Passion Pit vocals sound slower on this than tha Dance mix… I like how you kept tha 1st verse of Passion Pit and tha hook! Now, it’s back to tha rappin’ on tha 2nd verse; feelin’ this, ya dig! LOL, what a short verse fa Passion Pit ta take ova, lol! Now, it’s finally tha 3rd verse… Sounds like a future’s goin’ on here; good shit. My Rating: 4.4


06. “Wolves”
Interestin’ title here… Let’s see what’s good wit it! >>> Sounds like anotha different jacked beat song (like “The Reeling”) in tha beginning. I feel REALLY interested fa it but I don’t know what I’m gonna expect… Afta 55 seconds, here’s more of tha beat wit tha 1st verse… Almost sounded Trip-Hop before it came on but it sounds like a nice, under 70 BPM HOT Hip-Hop beat! Tha 1st verse has a bunch of interestin’ rappin’ goin’ on so you KNOW it’s a plus! What’s tha hook? It sounds like it went into a skit or somethin’…; interestin’. Tha 2nd verse’s comin’ through on tha beat here and tha beat’s soundin’ a lil’ betta. My Rating: 4.1


07. Rick James (Skit)
LOL, what could this be? >>> BTW, I like tha gems on tha back cover indicatin’ different tracks, ya dig! Sounds like it’s a skit but also sounds like a song too wit tha singin’… Since it’s not an official song, I won’t rate it. However, pretty catchy for a skit. My Rating: N/A


08. “Luchini”
What kinda word iz dat? >>> A shout out ta “G-Eazy” on this shit? Cool… Tha beat sounds cool as it’s a regular soundin’ Hip-Hop beat… Like V.V. Brown, “Sharks in tha water,” lol! That was a catchy line and lol @ tha hook: “I’m just a nerd—nerd.” I didn’t expect dat but I guess this iz for tha “nerds,” lol. Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good wit its contribution… My Rating: 3.8


½time: I didn’t expect much but it’s pretty good for a CD dat sounds a lil’ different, yet, on a Hip-Hop tip! Tha average CD rating currently iz a 4.1; keep it up!


09. “Ghost”
Looks like y’all gon bring some mo creativeness…; let’s see… >>> I dunno about tha soundin’ for tha start…; it’s aight but at least it’s on tha Hip-Hop tip. This might sound a lil’ too East Coast but let’s see what happens wit tha rest of it… Sounds like it’s on tha sad tip wit tha “rest in peace” shit afta tha 1st verse… I’m not really inta sad-type songs so I can’t really say much… Tha 2nd verse kinda fits wit tha 1st verse and its content… My Rating: 3.2


10. “Black Medallion” Feat. The Jones Girls
Not on DatPiff? Lemme hear why… >>> LOL, they didn’t take out tha “The Reeling” (‘cause you would think of a sample) but they took out this? Well, I’m sorry, but I must judge this by tha 30 seconds they gave me on tha DatPiff player… I’m not inta this so this iz a minus. My Rating: 1.1


11. “Hollis”
Let’s see this one… >>> “Tha 1st rap y’all wrote?” Cool… A Tribe Called Quest beat here so y’all takin’ it back… I like tha rhymes… If I would’ve heard tha rhymes in tha last song, I could’ve judged it betta but DatPiff was dumb fa removin’ it… Tha 2nd verse sounds like it has HOT rappin’ goin’ on here! I’m DEFINITELY feelin’ tha invisions in tha rhymes! My Rating: 4.3


12. “Justine”
Let’s see who this female iz… >>> Not really inta tha start here… It sounds like typical soundin’ in tha mainstream wit tha rappin’ here mixed wit tha beat; I barely have a connection to this… Sounds like a really long 1st verse? Thanx for ”her name,” lol. I like tha beat right after you say tha title. Too bad fa only one verse… My Rating: 3.0


13. “Adult Swim”
LOL, time ta HEAR some TV right now, lol!! >>> Catchy start wit tha pretty fast-paced rappin’! For some reason, it sounds like anotha really long verse? It finally switched up at 1:15; where’s tha hook? Iz this just a freestyle? Tha 2nd dude sounds kinda random at times wit how he’s flowin’… Prolly could’ve been betta if it was made into a betta song… My Rating: 3.3


14. “Fleur De Lis”
Come again, lol? >>> Tha beginning’s pretty good wit tha “smokin’ weed” shit; pretty good wit tha flow too! Tha 2nd verse has some interestin’ shit comin’ through here… I like tha lyrical content… Ooh, tha gurl (from one of tha earlier songs) iz back here, rappin’ pretty good. My Rating: 3.4


15. “Pinball”
Now, I invision a game, lol. >>> Tha beat’s pretty good/nearly tha same as some of tha beats on here… Tha rappin’s pretty interestin’ on this 1st verse; I like tha “dro” shit goin’ on here too! Dat hook’s interestin’; what does it have ta do wit “pinball,” lol? Tha 2nd verse has some pretty good rhymes; keepin’ it street here! My Rating: 3.8


16. “Godzilla”
Looks like it’ll be pretty raw, huh? I dunno… Lemme see… >>> Sounds kinda slow on tha beat here but iz good… Tha hook sounds good; y’all have a “Godzilla” feelin’ so that’s a plus! Nice job wit tha 1st verse, holdin’ it down fa tha whole crowd! Tha 2nd verse has a HOT start wit a “stash of Aspen!” I like how tha 2nd verse was delivered; nice and consistent wit tha flow! My Rating: 4.1


17. “Supras & Coronas”
What’ll this be for an ending song? >>> Oh no, not anotha one of those beats where there’s a sample repeatin’… Tha rappin’ and flow’s gr8; I like tha consistency wit all tha rhymes! Tha beat sounds motivational tha way y’all rap on it! Tha 2nd verse has a “shark” perspective in it; y’all doin’ tha damn thang wit this Rap shit! Gotta luv tha “autographed titties” at tha end of tha 2nd verse! It must feel GR8 ta receive those! Sounds like tha outro’s 90ish seconds long? Might be kinda long and confuse what I’m thinkin’s gon come up next but it’s cool since this iz tha last song on this CD. My Rating: 3.9


Overall: Once again, I didn’t know how gr8 this CD was gonna be when I first saw it but it turned out pretty good! Y’all held it down on all tha songs wit your gr8 rhymes and too bad for DatPiff for removin’ tha #10 song… But, nice job wit tha rappin’ and tha beats were on point dat you chose too.
