Reviewed on 5.04.2010 (Review #426)
Let’s keep dis shit goin’, ya feel me!! Tha 6th review I finna do today iz… Double Vision “Keep Your Eyes Open”! What up, Kane & Abel? Start Time: 3:25 PM | End Time: 4:15 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Intro/Keep Your Eyes Open
Time ta start dis thang off! >>> Sounds pretty gangsta for a start; VERY intense wit tha sounds!! My Rating: N/A
02. “Big Timerz Die”
Pretty good title here; let’s see how it sounds! >>> Nice Southern beat here and tha singin’ on tha hook’s good. Good gangsta shit bein’ spit here; I also like tha flow and tha voice iz cool here too! Thumbs up ta tha pluses on this joint right chea! Tha 2nd verse has a lotta nice punchlines and shit! I like tha “Michael Jackson and neva ‘breathe again’ like Toni Braxton” part; good-ass shit! Tha 3rd verse sounds good on this shit too, ya dig! Glad y’all got tha lastin’ rhymes! My Rating: 4.2
03. “Code Red” Feat. Taifa
This looks like it’ll be hella tight! Iz tha featured person a gurl? Wonder how this whole thang sounds! >>> Sounds a lil’ on tha old Mobb Deep-type here; good start! Even down to tha vocals; they sound New Yorkish, on a good level! Nice job wit tha gutta shit on tha 1st verse and now, I hear tha hook. It definitely iz a gurl and I’m GLAD we’re bringin’ back tha Reggae style in tha vocals! Tha last CD I listened to (from Dolamite) had female vocals on tha tracks! Nice job wit tha catchy hook wit this catchy song! Tha 2nd verse DEFINITELY supplyin’ tha streetz here to tha fullest! DEFINITELY sounded betta than tha 1st verse; keep tha street shit up! Sounds like you’re havin’ a good time on tha 3rd verse here; thumbs up ta tha hood rhymes! LOL @ Taifa on tha endin’ wit, “I am a nigga dat’s wanted fa murda.” She sounded HOT and I like how she said, “Shiiid,” too! My Rating: 4.6
04. “Runnin’ From The Po Po’s”
ANOTHA gr8 title!! Y’all REALLY hold it down wit tha titles!! >>> Good 90’s beat style here and tha 1st verse sounds good here! Y’all DEFINITELY hold it down fa tha hood and I’m GLAD y’all were always respected in tha hood! I hear tha hook and I REALLY like it as it has a Reggae feel in tha vocals and tha “slangin’ weed” shit sounds TIGHT fa tha street level here!! 05. “Ridin’ High” Feat. Fiend
Lookin’ forward ta this joint and collaboration!! >>> I like tha Christmas beat sounds in tha beginning and tha inhalin’! Sounds NICE and spooky at :12 in tha beat! Tha 1st verse sounds cool; makes you really wanna luv Hip-Hop! I like how tha 1st verse says, “bumpin’ Double Vision,” which iz y’all! I hear tha hook and it sounds REAL GR8 wit tha gutta voice!! Dat must be Fiend? This DEFINITELY iz a REAL NICE joint! “Spreadin’ like gonorrhea;” pretty infectious line! Some pretty good hood shit goin’ on in tha 3rd verse here. Definitely likin’ how y’all comin’ through from “ridin’ high” ta “rollin’ high;” gr8 mix! My Rating: 4.7
06. “Snitches” Feat. Devious
Ooh, ANOTHA high anticipated joint right chea!! Let’s see what it turns into!! >>> DEFINITELY some GR8 advice about “dem snitches;” good job wit tha hook right chea!! It sounds like a sample and it’s GR8! Tha combination of people on tha 1st verse sounds NICE; gotta luv tha swappin’ of verses!! Tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ betta here; gotta luv how STREET y’all come through on tha mic! Was that even a 3rd verse I heard? It sounded real short… Then, it turned into tha hook again. My Rating: 4.6
07. “Profitz In The Kut” Feat. Taifa & MC Thick
Likin’ how this title looks! Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ dis one too!! >>> A lil’ bit of talkin’ in tha beginning, Reggae style. I wonder if dat gurl’s tha same as tha one on tha Dolamite CD? Anyway, looks like a pretty good G-Funk beat here wit tha gangsta-type content goin’ on in tha 1st verse! Tha gurl sounds hot on tha hook too! DEFINITELY sum tight shit right chea! Gotta luv how y’all just keep it consistent!! Speakin’ of consistentness, I hear tha 2nd verse and glad y’all “got tha fiya weed;” good shit! Ooh, some RAW-ASS dude on tha 3rd verse here!! Where tha hell dis dude comin’ from, lol? REAL GR8 fa this shit!! LUVIN’ this shit, ESPECIALLY tha whole “warriors” shit!! Oh, I hear tha ending and I heard dat MC Thick was tha featured dude; REAL good looks on dat!!! My Rating: 4.8

09. “Dat Money”
Y’all REAL GR8 wit “dat money;” let’s see if it pays off good on this joint! >>> A lil’ smooth on tha beat start here but it still sounds gr8. Glad y’all representaz for tha G-Funk movement! Tha hook sounds cool; nice job wit deliverin’ it! Tha rappin’s pretty good for tha 1st verse; nice job wit it. Not bad on tha 2nd verse; y’all still keepin’ it good right chea! 11. “Keep Ya Eyes Open” Feat. Devious
This looks like it gon be good! There’s a lil’ ova five minutes on tha length so this should be GR8!! >>> Good, gutta beat here!! Tha hook sounds catchy wit keepin’ “ya eyes open!” Good shit goin’ on in tha 1st verse right chea, doin’ tha damn thang! Tha 2nd verse sounds good wit more hood shit goin’ on here! Glad y’all just keep tha hot shit comin’!! Tha 3rd verse iz here and I’m feelin’ tha flow on this verse right chea! DEFINITELY some good-ass shit bein’ spit and I’m glad it ain’t stoppin’!! Really feelin’ tha beat outro; gotta luv it! My Rating: 4.7
12. “The G Sign”
I KNOW y’all define dat, ya dig! >>> Thumbs up ta definin’ “tha G sign” wit all tha “symbol” shit!
