Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “The Dark Side” Feat. Six Shot
How DARK will we start dis thang off??? >>> Good G-Funk start here; pretty gutta on tha hook right chea! I like tha kick-in at :24 to tha beat; good shit. Ooh, tha start to tha 1st verse sounds TIGHT wit you on it! Nice, rapid rappin’ you got here, Slim!! Tha hook sounds like Method Man a lil’, lol; real good shit. Tha 2nd verse iz here and it’s doin’ a nice job fa this track! Gotta luv tha gangsta-ass shit comin’ outta EVERY SINGLE CD/tape I’ve been reviewin’!! A shit-load of shit bein’ spit in tha 3rd verse; very gangsta, ya dig!! Did I hear, “Wearin’ Girbauds in 100 degrees” (as in referrin’ ta protectin’ yourself)? If so, then y’all DEFINITELY REAL GANGSTA right chea!!! My Rating: 4.7


02. “Slippin’”
Not even two minutes? What’ll this be? Oh shit!! Here you come through just spittin’ BUKU rhymes!!! DEFINITELY keepin’ it G right chea to tha fullest!! Did I hear, “just won da lottery?” Good shit wit all these thangz you sayin’ (as well as your boy Six Shot contributin’ to tha previous song)!! You REAL, REAL crazy wit dis shit right chea on this pretty good beat ta hol’ you down!! My Rating: 4.9


½time: Tha average CD rating iz a 4.8; NO ONE can fuck wit you tha wrong way… even though you’re sadly dead. Either way, NO ONE can fuck wit you tha wrong way… when people talk down on you currently!!


03. “You Got It” Feat. Six Shot
Let’s keep tha HOT SHIT comin’!!! >>> Damn, I recognize tha beginning here; heard it on a compilation yesterday! Sounds like a C-Loc sound wit tha beat style here; good start! Ooh, a catchy hook here; glad there’s an automatic catchy hook finally! Definitely interestin’ rhymes goin’ on here too, ya dig! DEFINITELY a large amount of shit spit in tha 1st verse alone, ya feel me! What’s wit tha quietness afta tha 1st verse? What happened? Here comes anotha verse (tha 2nd one), doin’ tha damn thang here wit a gangsta style!! REALLY on tha gangsta tip here; there’s NO calmin’ down wit tha rhymes!! <- To add: I didn’t even realize who you were at first yesterday but now, I know who you iz, lol. Good thang fa collaboratin’ wit Six Shot on tha 2nd verse!! My Current Rating: 4.7
EDIT: To add: I remember this title… ’04 style: When B.G. had “I Want It”. Now, I see where he got it from… Good thing he was payin’ tribute!


04. “How You Figga”
I like dis title and I KNOW you gon hol’ dis shit DOWN!!! >>> Sounds like typical sampled music in tha beginning… Soundin’ kinda dry (compared to tha otha jointz on here) but still, there’s good, gangsta lyrics. Tha hook sounds good; feelin’ tha gangsta-ass style deep within tha lyrics! Ooh, a 2nd verse here too, “takin’ a hit off tha blunt!” Good shit, my dawg! My Rating: 4.3


Overall: Nice job done, Slim!! I KNOW there’s plenty more of you in my marathon ‘cause you supplied tha streetz REAL GOOD, ya dig!! Wish you was still around today…
