Reviewed on 5.04.2010 (Review #421)
Wakin’ up wit ya boy FrankieThaLuckyDog here! I only did a lousy two reviewz yesterday but today, I’m hopin’ ta do eight! We’ll see what happens! Tryna have at least five reviewz a day be done!! This next one iz C-Loc “Who’s Gonna Ride?”! This review iz proceedin’ tha HOT “Whatever” CD so you KNOW this gon be tha shit too!! Happy birthday to my boy K.O. & DJ Renee!! FREE K.O.!!! Start Time: 10:43 AM | End Time: 11:37 AM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Intro
What will you bring to tha table this time, Loc? >>> Tha volume sounds low at first but it sounds like this gon be ANOTHA REAL GR8 CD, ya dig!! Nice lil’ “neighborhood” intro! My Rating: N/A
02. “No Mercy”
LOL, a duplicate from yesterday when I heard it? >>> Originally, I said Young Bleed was in tha intro and this time, he’s not. I think this song sounds like my boy Dae~Dae outta G-Lane. There was anotha song on tha “Whatever” CD dat sounded like Dae~Dae; I thought it was this one fa a second. Anyway, a lil’ modified: Here comes a FULLY FOCUSED Loc on tha 1st verse!! DEFINITELY tight-ass shit right chea, gangsta style!! REALLY wildin’ out!!! This sounds tight and tha hook REAL, REAL good wit tha title repeatin’ and all tha shit goin’ on!! Here’s tha 2nd verse from you (had anticipation dat it was gonna be Bleed at first ‘cause he keeps surprising me) and tha good thing iz you spittin’ dat real-ass shit wit a REAL, REAL GR8 flow!! Interestin’ shit goin’ on here and it got REAL gangsta wit tha gunshots! Oh, shit, no 3rd verse? Damn… I’ll decrease my rating down a 10th of a point, bringin’ it to a NICE 4.8 though! <- To add: What happened to tha conversations between verses? I sadly have ta knock it down anotha 10th of a point; tha otha one was a lil’ betta. My Current Rating: 4.7
03. “I Wanna Be A “G””
This one too… Sounds like a lil’ bit of a West Coast vibe mixed wit your gutta shit for tha start wit tha sample and hook! Tha rappin’ REAL interestin’ here on tha 1st verse; sounds like a different person at first! Crazy-ass shit here to tha fullest!! No wonder they treat you like a legend at all times!! Here’s tha 2nd verse and you’re still doin’ tha damn thang wit shit on lock!! Good thing fa this review bein’ #420; it’s REALLY showin’ off good luck!! Sounds like some good-ass chantin’ at tha end too ta give this joint a GR8 vibe!! Reminds me of Big Head at tha end. <- To add: I hear a set of rules in tha 1st verse (“1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9”) and it sounds REAL GR8 ta hear it!!! My Current Rating: 4.7
04. “Free World”
LOL… Sounds like a different person in tha beginning? REAL anticipatin’ start; will this be ANOTHA 5* rated C-Loc CD? You have like four or five now and have buku CDs!! Based off of hearin’ you in tha 1st verse, you REALLY have gutta-ass, street-ass shit here!! REAL NICE job wit tha rappin’ on tha 1st verse and tha hook DEFINITELY’s catchy, ESPECIALLY wit tha KICK-ASS beat!!! This tha type of shit dat keeps me motivated enough ta be awake as possible fa my reviewz later tonight! Really on tha gangsta tip wit tha voice here; always got luv fa tha Loc!! Tha 3rd verse DEFINITELY on sum gutta shit here, ya dig!! ALWAYS keepin’ it REAL to tha fullest!! <- To add: Tha previous beat was MUCH betta here… Why tha decreasin’ of my ratings constantly? It sounds like Bleek (R.I.P.) was influenced by you as tha 3rd verse reminds me of somethin’ he spit on “Boyz In Da Hood” from Hatch Boy & Bleek. My Current Rating: 4.5
05. “Loco”
This iz different; let’s see what it sounds like! >>> Sounds gr8 for a start; gangsta-ass C-Loc!! Oh wait, I heard tha “Burger King” line; I already heard this! *Checks previous review* “Who Am I” it was called; here’s what I said: Ooh, here you come through on tha 1st verse, “Wantin’ thangz your way,” Burger King style!! ROUGH & RAW C-LOC!!! REAL RAW wit tha “boom, muthafucka, boom! Your whole body’s numb” part; you have BUKU quotes, ya dig!! DEFINITELY keepin’ it hot fa tha streetz too on tha 2nd verse also, ya feel me! I DEFINITELY feel how you comin’ through on EVERY track to tha fullest!! Comin’ through wit a hustlin’ perspective to tha fullest on tha 3rd verse right chea; luvin’ it (as always)!! <- To add: Looks betta wit this title than “Who Am I”! What’s wit removin’ tha Young Bleed parts (or were they added afta this CD)? My Current Rating: 4.8
06. “Money Madness”
Maybe this a newer song? >>> Soundin’ good wit tha gangsta style in tha beat here. It doesn’t sound like you in tha beginning… He was aight but when tha hook comes on, you KNOW it’s official!! Loc, you doin’ ya thang!! Tha otha person iz on tha 2nd verse too… Cool flow and it sounds good but I’d ratha hear you, Loc. Again, tha otha person’s on tha 3rd verse too, spittin’ some good shit. Oh no, I hear tha ending and it sounds like “Who’s Gonna Ride”? Shit… No, it’s not dat song (I just checked). My Rating: 4.4
½time: Soundin’ good (of course) but I like how “Whatever” sounded betta. I don’t know if I’m tricked into a difference between bein’ mastered and bein’ unmastered but I’m just reviewin’ what I’m hearin’. I’m glad I heard tha “Whatever” CD first! Despite dat, tha average CD rating iz still a NICE 4.6 so far!!!
07. “Never Say Die” Feat. Young Bleed
You KNOW you got shit on lock, Loc! Sounds like an anti-cop anthem wit tha beat intro this time! I hear a current C-Loc a lil’ in tha voice this time and you comin’ through wit viciousness!! Interestin’ wit tha dude on tha hook right chea! Loc, you’re makin’ it pretty intense by repeatin’ tha title on tha hook!! A song can’t just be RAW enough fa you, huh, lol? It gets betta wit Bleed on tha 2nd verse; gr8 consistent chemistry!! Bleed “flippin’ ‘em like a hamburger!” Thanx fa tha verse, Bleed! Back to tha features wit a dude on tha 3rd verse… I don’t know who it iz but NICE job on tha 3rd verse; NOTHIN’ but consistentness to tha fullest!! <- To add: YES, THEY KEPT BLEED!!! My Current Rating: 4.9
08. “Southside Thang”
Lookin’ good on tha title so let’s see how “Southern” this iz!! >>> Nice lil’ start wit tha beat and you sound GR8 on this, Loc! DEFINITELY a NICE flow here, ya dig! Good job wit makin’ this a “Southern” anthem and now, we got one of tha featured dudes on tha 2nd verse… Catchy voice so thumbs up once again. Glad you got your contributors, Loc! As for tha 3rd verse, I’m glad you hopped onto tha 3rd verse, Loc! Good job spittin’ some good shit! My Rating: 4.6
09. “Straight Dipping”
Looks like a cool title! Let’s see this “dippin’” shit, lol! >>> Off to a pretty good start wit tha beat; look forward ta seein’ what happens! Doesn’t sound like you on tha 1st verse so it must be a feature… Tha singin’ on tha hook’s cool wit tha title and err-thang, ya dig. Tha 2nd verse even has tha featured dude and lol @ 2:09: Auto-Tune. Why’d err-body fuck wit it when T-Pain came out? There was a lil’ A-Tune note at 2:09; nobody listened, lol? Either way, I don’t give a fuck about dat A-Tune shit! I’m REAL glad 99% of my marathon DOESN’T have ta DEAL wit dat shit!! Shit yea, here comes you, Loc, on tha 3rd verse! Glad you comin’ through wit dat GR8 flow and GR8 voice!! LOL @ tha “all tha clubs done closed” part, lol! I also like tha “hotel, motel, holiday inn” part; you hear dat a lot now-a-dayz. My Rating: 4.5
10. “Chocolate”
NOW tha songs are different all of a sudden, lol! Luv this title so let’s see what’s good wit it!! >>> Only 3:05 on tha length so it’s a quickie. LOL, a featured person on tha 1st verse and SHIT YEA, they turned this joint into a drug/hustle song!! Who would’ve expected? “Slangin’ white chocolate;” shit yeah on tha content!! I thought it was gonna be about enjoyin’ “chocolate,” lol! Likin’ all these candy lyrics as they turn into all kinds of shit (“Milky Way Street”)! Damn, tha whole song was tha featured dude? LOL @ tha near-ending wit tha “cap in yo ass!” I like tha beat @ 2:32! Real interestin’ all though you’re not on it, Loc. My Rating: 4.8
11. “Caps Get Peeled”
This I feel gon be interestin’!! >>> Glad we got you back, Loc! If you’re not on one song, then it seems like it’s been a while since you’ve been heard; gotta have Loc!! Tha beat iz cool here and tha lyrics are aight at times but they’re still good. Tha 2nd verse sounds like it’s off to a MUCH betta start wit tha “look in tha mirror” shit; gr8 reflection, Loc! Thanx fa tha street lyrics and keepin’ it real! My Rating: 4.7
12. “Who’s Gonna Ride?”
Of course, you KNOW this CD ain’t complete without tha title track! Glad ta hear you wit your gutta voice! There’s singin’ on tha hook and it sounds pretty good fa this song. It sounds like this was a good single or somethin’ ‘cause of tha album title… Nice job wit tha 2nd verse too as you’re bringin’ dat hot shit to tha table! Oh no, anotha long beat outro? About 72 seconds left right chea… <- To add: Tha beginning part sounds a lil’ different but it gets to tha good vibe. My Current Rating: 4.6
13. Shouts Out
I don’t think there’s an appostrophe in “shouts.” Let’s see what you gotta say here… >>> You sound cool as hell on this shit (as you’re talkin’), ya dig! Tha beat iz cool and I’m GLAD it rides all tha way through! Thanx again fa tha shout outs and hopefully, in tha future, you shout me out too, ya dig! I know Dat Boy A’s in tha process of dat!
Overall: Nice job wit tha CD, Loc! Regardless if I heard some of tha songs and thought some of tha otha versions were betta, you REALLY did tha damn thang once again!! NOTHIN’ fucks wit Camp Life Entertainment or C-Loc Records $TATI$TICALLY!! Keep doin’ tha damn thang!! I always look forward to (and keep up wit) your shit!!
EDIT: I just looked online and it said there were radio versions of three of tha songs on here. Too bad they weren’t included… I guess it’s on tha original recording ‘cause I believe this iz tha mastered version.
