Review #1,169: Dat Boy A "The Butterfly Effect (The Sample)"
Reviewed on 7.31.2012 (Review #1,169)
Comin’
up next iz just a promo disc review: Dat
Boy A The Butterfly Effect (The Sample).
Not only iz this, like, a year old, but I don’t even have tha full version! :(
I mean, c’mon; I was given tha Click
House Retarded Vol. 1 to me in tha mail, back in 2010! A, I know we’re
better than ’10, right? It’s ’12! Shoe Box Money Entertainment in tha buildin’
wit this one… Start Time: 10:47 PM |
End Time: 11:06 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything
after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening
to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or
talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’
topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

“What Your Life Like”
Lemme
hear! >>> Maybe should be called “What Yo Life Like”? Really likin’
how you comin’ through on tha hook! Get ‘em, A! “Eat a dick up” you tellin’
‘em; I’m feelin’ dat! Definitely feelin’ this production! You eva gon make your
way up to see me? You told me you was gon see me two years ago, once you got
passed June, 2010? Anyway, great rhymes in tha 1st verse! You doin’
a nice job wit your everyday-life rhymes! Still doin’ a nice job on this beat
wit tha 2nd verse; good information… What’s wit tha random dude
toward tha end? Sounds familiar, but don’t wanna think of who it iz, so fast. I
remember back in, like, some part of 2010, when I was on tha phone wit Young
Kidd Kidd, you said, “Love you Frankie.” I would’ve neva guessed, but that was
before its time. Now, err-body be sayin’, “I love you too,” to me; glad you at
least said it to me! You know I fuck wit you heavy, all day, A! My Rating: 4.4
02.
“D-Spot” Feat. Ray Vicks
Let’s see how dis collab gon go! >>> Ooh, likin’ tha hook and beat, combined! Y’all really representin’ here; keep bein’ a trap star, A! Good shit goin’ on in tha 1st verse, A; kinda like me when it comes ta tryna find special things, like how I go through scratch-off lottery tickets! Love how you keep repeatin’, “You can get yo package!” :tu Even though this iz a jam, Ray Vicks’ rhymes on tha 2nd verse’s kinda ehh for me; I mean, how many rappers have to rap about dumb-ass “money”? I rather rap about how I’m broke! I rather admit it! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! “You can get yo package! You can get yo package!” Oh, if I would’ve had this when this came out, this prolly would’ve been a great song on my playlist; betta than that “Osama Bites The Dust”! My Rating: 4.7

½time: Lovin’ it, A; keep up tha
great work!! A 4.6-rated CD, currently!!!!!!
03.
“Don’t Worry” Feat. Level
This
should be an interestin’ collab; I’m lookin’ forward! >>> Sounds like
a regular song; tha pace iz okay, and tha hook’s kinda on tha quieter side. Tha
1st verse from you’s not bad, either; gotta give it to ‘em,
lifestyle style, A. Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, either; I don’t
know what else to say… Umm, Level gon prolly be on tha 3rd verse; I
can’t picture him rappin’ about hoes and shit. Can he finally rap about autism?
Shit, already talkin’ ‘bout relationships so fast? Didn’t seem like tha vibe fa
dat, but whateva… My Rating: 3.6
04.
“No Fool” Feat. Savage
Wow,
I’ve been fooled! I looked at tha
length of tha song first and thought it was “Osama Bites The Dust”! Wow,
lookin’ forward ta this, includin’ Savage on tha feature!! >>> Anotha
laidback vibe, here, mixed wit a faster-Sade instrument vibe, lol. Sounds like
hilarious rhymes, at times (wit tha “kickin’ ya ass”), but you’re keepin’ it
real. Great character you’re deliverin’, here, wit tha flow! Glad you ain’t on
some boring shit! Now, time fa some S-A-V-A-G-E!!! Lol, faster flow from him;
likin’ tha shit he be on! Sav, how ‘bout a 128 – 130 BPM joint; think you can
keep up wit tha pace, lol? My Rating: 4.1
05.
“Alright”
No
“Osama”, lol? Guess its buzz died out, but let’s hear this… >>>
Speakin’ of that song, EQ’s on tha track, here. Tha vibe’s kinda quiet, once
again, but I’m likin’ your rhymes. Tha hook has an okay vibe; decent for me,
but at least it’s an original production! Tha 2nd verse ain’t too
bad, either; I don’t think I have anymore feedback on this one. My Rating: 3.6
Overall: I thought this was nice
for just a sample; hope to hear tha real thing… soon?

01.
The Resuscitation Introduction
>>>
Interesting… My Rating: N/A
02.
“Close Your Eyes”
>>>
A start like this with 4:57 on tha length? Bad start; way too long… Voice and
rhymes are great; makes this sound better than I expected, although Real Profit
Ent. had tha same sample three years ago. My
Rating: 3.6
03.
“I Am…”
>>>
Nice beat start…; decent wit tha rhymes, but why tha long songs? My Rating: 3.5
04.
“Actin’ Bad” Feat. B.L.O.O.D.
>>> Wouldn’t’ve guessed it was a J Buc production based off these below average/decent ratings I’ve been givin’… Tha hook sounds good; almost sounds like M.A.’s “A.C.T.” wit tha “actin’ bad wit it.” Verses sound jammin’, too; nice job wit tha collaboration! My Rating: 4.1
05.
“Living For The Moment” Feat. Young Shype
>>>
Still on an East Coast vibe, which ain’t my 2012 cup of tea… Not bad, but some
of tha excitement in tha song, here, sounds random… My Rating: 3.4
06.
Briefcase Business
>>>
Didn’t think this was gonna be a skit; interesting again. My Rating: N/A
07.
“Briefcase Money”
Here
we go. >>> J Buc doin’ tha beat, here. Lol @ tha really loud volume;
mix-and-blastered, lol? Rhymes are
not really for me wit all this “money” shit, but at least this a jam. My Rating: 4.2
08.
“Work Your Body” Feat. Double O
>>>
Really slow start, like I was listening to Fiona Apple’s “Every Single Night”
or somethin’, lol. Well, for a title like this, this vibe’s a lil’ different,
and also quiet (lol @ tha difference in audio volume from tha previous song)!
Likin’ tha singer on tha hook; nice job wit it. Ehh, I’ll give this some
credit… My Rating: 3.9
09.
Resuscitation Interlude
>>>
Nice to have interludes in tha mist of everything! My Rating: N/A
10.
“Sweet”
>>>
At least it’s a quick song, wit only 2:04 on tha length. Volume’s back to soundin’
blastin’ again, lol; rhymes ain’t bad, either. My Rating: 3.7
11.
“Fuck Yo Swag”
Whether
it’s “F U” or “F Y,” I don’t need to hear about “swag” at any time! >>> Thumbs up that there’s character in tha
voice, here; catchy, but I ain’t into some of tha lyrics. Okay, maybe this can
qualify a lil’ bit, but I’m sure any
rapper could’ve came up wit this; can’t isolate this with my Louisiana tastes. My Rating: 3.3
12.
“Niggaz From Louisiana”
Feat. Pooh Da Lini
>>>
Still sounds like mainstream music/music anyone can make; no need for tha
title, here! Then again, I’m still likin’ tha character… My Rating: 3.4
13.
R.I.P. Soulja Slim
>>>
Yup. My Rating: N/A
½time: Decent for me, currently;
3.7
for tha CD rating.
14.
“Jimmy ( Self Made )”
?
>>> Back to tha long lengths, smh… I don’t see much interest in this,
but you got a good voice for deliveries… My
Rating: 2.8
15.
“High Rolla” Feat. Young Shype
Nice
title; hope it pays off! >>>
I like tha beginning… Even though tha beat still sounds like anyone’s type of
music, I’ll give this more credit than some of tha songs on here. Seems like
Young Shype’s better than you; gritty voice wit a great delivery! My Rating: 3.6
16.
“Blue Skye”
>>>
Ugh, a sample! :td When will that bullshit go away in rap music? :confused
Rhymes are good and consistent, here. My
Rating: 3.1
17.
“Track Murder”
>>>
Not Louisiana
for me; rhymes help make this sound better than I would’ve expected… My Rating: 3.0
18.
Resuscitation Interlude 2
>>>
Sounds like somethin’ grimy happened… My
Rating: N/A
19.
“Rock Star” Feat. Get It Boy G
>>>
Bleh; Roscoe Dash shit? More typical music, smh! My Rating: 2.6
20.
Smokey Skit
>>>
Sounds like a cartoon about weed, almost. My
Rating: N/A
21.
“In My Blunt…”
It
better be good! >>> Beat sounds jacked; I dunno how much my interest
will last… Different delivery, here, on a laidback vibe. Good content wit tha
“blunt” and all this smoke-type shit, but this ain’t nothin’ too special for
me… My Rating: 3.5
22.
“Shot Callaz” Feat. Joc Da Boy
>>>
Random speech sample in tha beginning, it sounds like? Volume’s way too loud,
again; too Meek Mill-y wit tha delivery. Ehh, why couldn’t you guys be like
this in ’08? Very late wit tha chance; Nu$$ie was still alive!! Feelin’ tha 2nd
verse, though, wit this “T-Rex” shit, includin’ tha nice delivery. My Rating: 3.6
23.
“All Day, All Night” Feat. LeLe Marie
>>>
Before I even hear it, I know tha length’s too long. Anyway, too Drake-y for
me; I feel like skippin’! Not bad wit tha female, but no interest, here, after
tha Drake sound-alike. My Rating: 2.2
24.
Victor Maytlin Outro
>>>
Glad you’re speaking, finally; share dem linx. My Rating: N/A
25.
“Crying Herself To Sleep”
>>>
No! Not for me, either. My Rating: 1.2
26.
“The Reality (Still Smokin’)”
>>>
Too Meek Mill-y, once again; not into these lyrics except tha character in tha
hook. My Rating: 2.4
27.
Resuscitation Outro
>>>
Nice way to end this. My Rating: N/A
Overall: Too many songs, most of
which were below average for me; why barely any original production? Maybe
you’re startin’ to get your game up? Well, keep workin’ wit tha Buckster and
you should get yourself more bucks
wit Buc, soon!
Rankings:

01.
“Klippa Raw Freestyle”
How
will it sound, especially startin’ wit a freestyle? >>> Great for a
freestyle; thought tha beat would be boring and a noticeable, jacked beat!
Thumbs up fa holdin’ it down fa tha south! My
Rating: 4.3
02.
Intro
So,
a lil’ taste previously, since tha intro’s #2? >>> Okay, this beat
sounds more like what I would’ve expected wit tha freestyle; good thing it’s
just an intro ‘cause you sound great wit your talkin’, hence tha beat! Nice job
wit this intro, Mr. Klippa! Lookin’ forward ta err-thang! My Rating: N/A
03.
“You Can’t Tell Me I Ain’t On”
>>>
Sounds catchy; a lot of money rhymes, but this iz good ta enjoy. My Rating: 4.4
04.
“I Do My Own Thang”
>>>
Sounds simple, but catchy; I like how you be reppin’ BR hard wit your
presentations on tha tracks! My Rating: 4.2
05.
“Ciroc In My Cup”
>>>
Bad voice start; just gonna skim through this! :td My Rating: 1.6
06.
“Beligerent”
>>>
Another word for “duffy,” here; another good club banga… Rhymes are kinda ehh,
but at least it ain’t like tha previous song! My Rating: 3.9
07.
“One Up In The Head”
>>>
Feelin’ tha street vibe, here; I can see value in you, especially since you be
fuckin’ wit Ready, Zion City Juice, and more! Rhymes aren’t anything new in tha
verses, but at least it’s a vibe I can feel. My Rating: 4.0
08.
“All I Wanna Do”
>>>
Boring “money” topic again, but tha hook goes off wit holdin’ tha notes! :tu
Hope we can do serious business soon, since I be hearin’ ‘bout all this
“money!” My Rating: 4.3
09.
“Pass By You Niggas”
>>>
No interest in tha lyrics, unfortunately; heard ‘em enough from tha other
songs… Not too much interest wit this song for me; I just like tha “show my ass
on you niggas” part, since you be doin’ ya thang wit dat. My Rating: 3.2
10.
“Racks”
Ahh…
>>> A lil’ too obsessed; I think this iz too much. As far as tha song,
it’s kinda like dat bullshit, 2010s generation-type shit that’s out these dayz…
My Rating: 2.7
½time: More of an album than a
mixtape? Nothin’ blends in, since all tha endings are regular endings that
don’t blend into tha next song… Anyway, 3.6 for tha CD rating, currently.
11.
“You Ain’t Fucking Wit It”
>>>
Thought I was expectin’ a pop-rap song wit tha sample in tha background, but
this iz one of tha best ones on here? At least your flow’s different, wit tha
fastness! See, now, you have a lot ta
say, here! My Rating: 4.5
12.
“Show You How I’m Living”
>>>
Beat sounds like a jacked turn-off… No interest, once again! My Rating: 2.3
13.
“Put A Hole In Ya”
>>>
Beginning sounds much betta wit this beat; hope you can handle it! Content
sounds like everyone else (e.g., with people, drunk, and can easily do things),
but I’ll deal wit this… Okay, beat’s startin’ ta sound online-ish; ugh, this iz
slowly gettin’ worse for me. Really, I’ve had enough of some of these boring,
repetitive lyrics… My Rating: 3.3
14.
“Really In The Building” Feat. Merkin’ Marcus
>>>
Feature? Who iz it? Not listed, smh… Turned off by not knowin’ who it iz (EDIT: Did they say, “Murder Marcus”?)
but not bad wit their verse… Tha rest of this ain’t all that, but at least I
can picture tha dark streets by listenin’ to this. Hearin’ tha endin’ and I
heard you say, “Merkin’ Marcus;” I’ll put that in tha feature. Iz that tha Marcus Lane dude in
your FB friends? My Rating: 3.5
15.
“Baton Rouge
Nigga”
>>>
I really like tha hook, here, wit this so-so beat! Great BR street rhymes, but some sound
off-beat… My Rating: 4.4
16.
Intro To Bonus Tracks
Let’s
see what this gon be like… >>> Bonus tracks from “’08?” Always keepin’
tha Nu$$ie-Alive times alive, in 2K12, lol! My Rating: N/A
17.
“Walk Down On Ya” Feat. Zion
City Juice
I
assume Juice iz on tha feature, here, even though it ain’t listed. >>>
Quiet volume? You ain’t turn it up? :( Anyway, this sounds pretty gutta; I like
dat “I walk down on ya pussy-azz!” Good collaboration wit Juice, here! Notice
how this song ain’t “money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money,
money,” right? Oh, tha good ’08 dayz!! My
Rating: 4.6
18.
“Nigga Like Me” Feat. Zion
City Juice
>>>
Features from tha intro? Ugh, why can’t they be listed? Anyway, now, tha volume
sounds too loud, but this iz pretty-good for a song… I like that “Klippa,
Klippa, Klippa, where ya been” part! My
Rating: 4.2
19.
“Let Me Ball”
>>>
Sounds like you’ve been in bed wit a bunch of “bitches,” here? Wonder what
that’s like, especially on a brave tip, to be wit a shitload of “bitches”? This
sounds jammin’ wit tha beat, and what you’re deliverin’ ain’t too bad… This
must be a lil’ ahead of ’08 ‘cause I hear you talkin’ about “cash,” here and
there? My Rating: 3.8
20.
“Ain’t Too Many” Feat. Zion
City Juice
>>>
Beginning lists Zion City Juice & La’Keith a part of this (La’Keith
produced?)? Well, at least tha beat has that BR vibe to it; good street
content, too. Feelin’ tha collaboration, here; y’all really holdin’ it down wit La’Keith’s supply! Damn, what happened
to tha 3rd verse? A fill-in-tha-blank? :confused My Rating: 4.4
21.
“Stay Thug” Feat. Zion
City Juice
>>>
Anticipatin’ beginning, since you said “La’Keith” iz “on tha track!” See,
that’s all you need; no need for a dumb-ass beat tag, which I noticed there
were none on this mixtape! It’s almost like jumpin’ into a refreshin’ Jacuzzi
when I know there’s a 2012 CD/mixtape wit no beat tags! :tu Anyway, feelin’ tha
rhymes; this combination of you, Juice & La’Keith iz one of tha great ways
ta have a BR vibe and feel it! Good
collaboration, once again, but what’s wit tha fill-in-tha-blank on tha 3rd
verse, again? Somebody fuck wit your head or somethin’, Klip? Like, were you
‘pose to get a verse from someone, and because you didn’t, you didn’t release
this (and tha previous) song (randomly issuing it somewhere)? My Rating: 4.4
Overall: A lil’ bit of a mixed
review for me, but overall, those bonus tracks helped! Good job, I must say;
get a lil’ better wit tha diversity, at times, and stay on ya grind! Hope to do
a radio interview wit you either tonight or tomorrow!

Review #1,165: K-Chill "News Flash (Da Mixtape)"
Reviewed on 7.18.2012 (Review #1,165)
Either
I radio edit or review; which one should I do? Well, I’m gonna review, real
quick, so I’m a lil’ caught up. Got a special, all-artist radio show this
Sunday night, and I might make it a K-Chill
one. Speakin’ of him, to go with that show, here’s my review for his latest CD,
News
Flash (Da Mixtape)! Start Time:
8:36 PM | End Time: 9:03 PM

“I Don’t Like You”
Startin’
off wit a title I like to hear! Betta yet, this one T dude that screamed at me,
back on April “Friday Tha 13th”, 2007, said this to me: “SHUT UP, I
DON’T LIKE YOU;” everytime I see tha words, “I don’t like you,” I think of
that, and start laughin’ in my head! >>> Comin’ through real hard, as
usual; keep tha explicit attitude comin’ along!! I like how their name iz “P.A.N.;”
you know what it iz!! Good job wit tha beat and how you’re comin’ through wit
tha flow, here; real good 1st
verse!! Tha hook sounds pretty tight; luvin’ tha extra, extra explicitness
goin’ on, continuously!! Nice job wit tha 2nd verse, too; kickin’
lots of ass, here, K-Chill!!! My Rating:
4.6
02.
“Go Dumb”
Lol,
duh!! >>> Beats continue to progress in a tight way; nice beginning…
Gotta luv how a bunch of your songs blend in together, wit that great, energetic quality!! I dunno what
ta exactly say, since I really say tha same shit, for tha most part? Thumbs up
fa havin’ this one take place in a bar, it sounds like! My Rating: 4.6
03.
“Trunk Gone Bang”
Let’s
hear it! >>> Gotta luv you; neva stoppin’!!! Sounds like a
slightly-hotter beat, here! Feelin’ tha “trunk” environment, here; knockin’ and knockin’ and knock-to tha-in’!!!
:tu Good rhymes goin’ on, here, wit tha “trunk” lyrics, “swangin’” err-where!! My Rating: 4.7
04.
“Shake A Hater Off”
Nice
to bring this song on here!! My Current
Rating: 4.7
05.
“Talk Tht Shit Nah”
Interestin’
wit “that” spelled as “tht”, here; let’s hear what we got! >>> Great
song fa assholes ta “talk” some “shit!” Good job wit tha hook and thumbs up fa
keepin’ ur
attitude up! I just texted you and you texted me back; you produced all these jointz on here! Glad you
stickin’ to my theory and just produce for yourself; it’s a good way to define
yourself and only yourself!! Yea,
“why he runnin’ from dat muthafuckin’ AK?” Talk about a pussy; he prolly don’t
even have $20! Speakin’ of which, I had to block a girl on Facebook, yesterday,
‘cause she thought my prices of $20 - $50 for commercials and hosting was too
high. It’s like, serious business only!! My
Rating: 4.6
½time: A 4.6-rated CD, currently, up for five
stars; keep up tha great work,
K-Chill!!!!!!
06.
“Tht Ain’t Ur
Potna”
!!!
>>> I like how this sounds; more great lyrics, too, about how people
can take advantage of you! You can get away wit mentionin’ “Facebook” in your
songs without gettin’ criticism from me; it’s not like you made this wack, so
you can easily slide! Really likin’ this title, includin’ tha repeatin’ of it
in tha hook! Longest song on here? You got a lil’ outro goin’ on, here; props
for it, includin’ tha trill shit you sayin’ at tha end about dem “potnaz” not
bein’ real/down 4 u! My Rating: 4.7
07.
“Do It Like Me”
Keepin’
it goin’!! >>> Real quiet start? Where’s tha volume; did you forget to
increase it? Don’t worry, I can increase it; only thing iz it sucks for
everyone else who don’t have audio-editing programs… Nice job wit tha beat,
here, includin’ your kick-ass attitude, once again! Thumbs up fa tha Southern
lyrics, once again, “clutchin’” yo ass off, lol! My Rating: 4.6
08.
“The Rap Game”
Talk
about it; I know you been in “tha rap game” for a while, now! >>> Love
your attitude, 24/7; spittin’ some good facts, here! Tha vibe doesn’t sound
like 2K12; sounds a lil’ like mid-2000s! “Titanik,” huh? Hope you mention my
name in one of these songs, soon! That’s right! “Where tha fat niggaz live;” keep
bein’ big!! You got a 3rd verse goin’ on, here, and you keepin’ it
goin’! My Rating: 4.7
09.
“I Don’t Fuck With Them”
Let’s
hear it! >>> Tha hook sounds pretty nice; really feelin’ all tha
action goin’ on!! Good job wit tha verses, too; you really holdin’ dis down by
yourself, all day!! My Rating: 4.7
10.
“Come Get This Nigga”
Time
ta end it; prolly gon keep it goin’ in a consistent way, right? >>> Of
course!! Really feelin’ tha beat sound effects, here, and you’re really tryna get people reeled into your
arena; you’re ready ta kick one of their asses! Good job wit tha verses; you really holdin’ shit down, to tha
fullest!! My Rating: 4.6
Overall: Lol, only two different
ratings ‘cause you were that
consistent!! Thumbs up fa keepin’ it consistent; really hard to tell tha
difference of my likings between each song, since they had nearly tha same
consistency! Keep up tha great work,
Mr. Chill!!!

Review #1,164: AWEtheNIQ "Crawfish Boil"
Reviewed on 7.12.2012 (Review #1,164)
Gonna
get a review or two over with, now that I have a moment. Tonight, it’s AWEtheNIQ (pronounced “authentic”) with
Crawfish
Boil. With S.O.A.R. (School
of Artists Records),
let’s see what’s up. Also, I assume every song on here iz 2011 and older ‘cause
each rip date iz April, 2011? Start
Time: 9:07 PM | End Time: 9:31 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0

“Sicily
Boats”
Interesting
title. >>> Good intro, real oldies style. Switched up to an East Coast
vibe…; good rhymes. Really not into samples on tha hooks, but this’ll slide, just
a little… My Rating: 3.4
02.
“Anna’s Babies”
Interesting
that you use letters to determine tha track numbers; that’s a first. I remember
this song; good appearance, 2010 style! My
Current Rating: 4.4
03.
“Ah Dea”
Interesting
spelling of tha words in this title. >>> Not really into sampled
music, too much (sounds like “All My Life” (K-Ci & JoJo). For some reason,
I’m startin’ to like this a lil’ more, once tha beat starts kickin’ in… Lyrics
are kinda good, wit tha flow, but I can’t tolerate tha “stacks on deck.” Then
again, at least you’re not a “money virgin” with me, so you can talk about money. Either way, I
still think it’s a played-out topic… My
Rating: 3.8
04.
“Diamonds & Rubies” Feat. The School
Of Artists: Azo The Wiz
& Sun7ife
>>>
Nothing standing out in tha beat or rhymes, here, for a song. Tha only thing
that’s catchin’ my attention iz tha hook, with literally, tha “diamonds &
rubies.” My Rating: 3.3
05.
“Drinks On Me” Feat. Chris Jones & The School Of Artists:
Azo The Wiz & Sun7life
Not
my kinda title… >>> Nothing special for me, but not terrible. My Rating: 2.9
06.
“Zydeco”
A
lil’ above decent on a 2nd listen, months and months later. I still
was like a faggot tha 1st time I heard this song, only months away
from growin’ up! My Current Rating: 3.7
07.
“Country Music”
?
>>> Didn’t really understand tha first 16 seconds… Ehh, with tha title
comin’ into play, this ain’t really up to par with me. Music sounds a lil’
better than some of tha jointz on here, though. My Rating: 3.2
08.
“Theme Song” Feat. Azo The Wiz & Venisha Butler
I
appreciate you doin’ business wit me wit this song, but this iz far from
anything for me. When can we say, “R.I.P. Auto-Tune”? Thank God I gon have my own Top 2,000 Songs of 2000s decade-end
countdown, soon, before Hip-Hop got ruined! My Current Rating: 1.4
½time: A lil’ below average, but
not too much; 3.3
for tha CD rating, currently.
09.
“Acquired Taste” Feat. Sun7ife, JG & Chris Jones
Can’t
read tha 2nd artist on tha feature (had to look online)…
>>> Not exciting music, but I like that title and how tha title iz
applied to tha hook. Thumbs up for tha features, at least. My Rating: 3.6
10.
“Check”
>>>
Why does this sound like jacked-beat music? Almost wanna skip this; anyone can
make this shit. Tha hook sounds a lil’ (very lil’) catchy wit that “check”list.
My Rating: 2.5
11.
“Blk Ivry” Feat. Sun7ife
Another
hard-to-read title… >>> More below-average music for me… Tha hook
sounds really good wit tha title repeating, but tha sample just ruined it for
me! My Rating: 3.4
12.
“ManMade” Feat. Sun7ife
>>>
Another good intro fulla old music… This music’s slightly better than tha other
shit on here, and tha rhymes are pretty good, too. Tha hook also sounds good;
it’s like how I like tha previous one, only without a gay sample in tha
background. My Rating: 3.8
13.
“Flashout”
A
really slow vybe, here, but it’s
pretty tight wit your flow and rhymes. My
Current Rating: 4.3
14.
“Mic Myers”
>>>
Really good beat start (best one?), so far, despite a name as tha title… Nice
job wit tha consistent rhymes; hook iz nice, too! My Rating: 4.0
15.
“Fork” Feat. Azo The Wiz
Nice
and concrete for tha title. >>> I don’t hear anything that stands out,
so far… All that “pussy” and “hoes” shit in tha 1st verse sounds
like tha typical rap that I hear from every rapper, so it’s nothing to comment
on; not horrible, but nothing special, either. My Rating: 3.0
16.
“Problems Pt. 2” Feat. The School
Of Artists: Azo The Wiz
& Sun7ife
Why
was this left off tha back cover? >>> Beat’s okay, but qualifies for
some good hip-hop… Tha rhymes and tha hook’s pretty catchy; good job, overall. My Rating: 3.9
Overall: Just about decent; I’ll
give it that. I had no intentions of reviewin’ this for a while, but I needed
new music and a possible interview for this week’s radio show (already in two
dayz, smh—never get a break). So, I’ll be sure to be hittin’ u up tomorrow
(Friday, tha 13th). You’ve been a two-hit wonder on tha phone wit
me, so if you don’t answer, I just move on to someone else ‘cause I can’t
afford to cancel another show (had a no-show last Saturday; pretty
disappointing, and just makes me wanna quit my show ASAP—doin’ that August 17,
2012).
Rankings:
16. “Theme Song” Feat. Azo The Wiz &
Venisha Butler 1.4
15. “Check” 2.5
