Review #1,714: O.C.B. (Outta Control Ballers) "Interstate"

Reviewed on 4.26.2017 (Review #1,714)

Time for more reviewz… Happy Birthday to DJ Ya Boy Earl & Rudye out dat Rouge! Fa now, here goes my review fa O.C.B. (Outta Control Ballers) Interstate, released in 1998 on 4 Down Entertainment! All tha tracks were produced by Loco (spelled “Locco”, I think), except #2, produced by Mannie Fresh & #17, produced by Duck! Start Time: 1:58 AM | End Time: 2:59 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Wreckin’ Ball Nuts” feat. Cadillac Slim
>>> Diggin’ this throwback Louisiana sound, here! Definitely a nice beat and tha hook’s pretty dope, too! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s nice ta hear, as well… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s dope; good shit… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse, here, keepin’ it movin’… I like how dude said, “Zion City;” Baton Rouge in tha buildin’!! My Rating: 4.5

02. “Flossin’” feat. Lil’ Wayne
>>> Definitely a dope beat from Fresh, here; good shit! Wayne kickin’ it off wit tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ A+ fa tha south, of course! I remember when I loved this Wayne, back when I first heard him in 2002! Also, I love how I played this on my radio show, back in 2012 or somethin’, and I remember thinkin’, “Lil’ Wayne tha most-poppy dude played on my show…” Who woulda thought he’d fall off a lil’ bit? Thought he was tha Hottest MC In The Game, or somethin’? Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ pretty dope, too! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s dope, too; definitely dope shit, here! My Rating: 4.4

Keepin’ it movin’ wit Coleone on tha 2nd verse, here, reppin’ hard fa tha south, here! Definitely nice wit these rhymes and tha content! And, a 4th verse, with a dude singin’ like—wait, iz this tha same Locco I know from Baton Rouge? I knew that voice sounded familiar and I know of him from producin’! Shid, nice lil’ appearance, with that voice! My Rating: 4.2

Definitely fully-focused, here! And, tha 3rd verse iz here, soundin’ nice ta hear, too; good shit… My Rating: 4.3
