R.I.P. Video #27: Soulja Slim

View on phone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwhWQWcSlzc

Recorded November 26, 2013.

Broadcasting from my backyard in Peckville, Pennsylvania, it's FrankieThaLuckyDog, with a special version of my tribute videoz. Today marks a decade since New Orleans rapper Soulja Slim, born James Adarryl Tapp, Jr., was brutally murdered in front of his mom's house on 4600 Lafaye St., on November 26, 2003; he was only 26 years-old. Slim suffered three gunshot wounds to tha face, and one to tha chest, from an unknown gunman. Twenty-two-year-old Garelle Smith was arrested in connection with tha murder, as police found a stolen police pistol in Smith's possession, on New Year's Eve, 2003. However, in 2008, tha case was dropped due to a lack of witnesses and tha New Orleans 60-day law. Smith had a similar situation happen in August 2011, when he was found dead also with gunshot wounds to his face and chest.

Born and raised in Magnolia's projects, Slim was a sophomore dropout at Booker T. Washington High School. He released his debut album, Soulja Fa Lyfe, in 1994, under Parkway Pumpin' Records as Magnolia Slim. A year later, he represented his skillz on tha No Limit Records compilation, Down South Hustlers: Bouncin' And Swingin'. His major label debut, Give It 2 'Em Raw, was released in 1998 on No Limit Records. Slim continued to build his reputation by starting tha Cut Throat Committy Records label. Slim released his 7th and final CD, Years Later...A Few Months After, in 2003, while still alive. Following his death, his greatest success came when he was featured on fellow New Orleans'er, Juvenile's 2004 hit, "Slow Motion", which topped tha Billboard Hot 100. Slim was only tha 6th artist and 2nd rapper, behind The Notorious B.I.G., to top tha Billboard Hot 100 posthumously.

Review #326: Calliope Var "New Calliope City"

Reviewed on 10.22.2009 (Review #326)

Ya boy FrankieThaLuckyDog in tha buildin’, ‘bout ta do a review fa Calliope Var again! Now, tha last CD I reviewed from him, Hoodstar, iz newer than this one. I didn’t know that at 1st ‘cause that CD was posted on tha Word Of South board; I found this older one on DatPiff. Anyway, here goes my review fa Calliope Var New Calliope City! Start Time: 7:20 PM | End Time: 8:37 PM

Disclaimer:
I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2009 CD Review (Review #326) reviewed on 10.22.2009 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Intro”
Let’s see how we start this mixtape off; hope thingz go REAL good!! >>> Nice lil’ speech in tha beginning, and tha beat goes hard for tha intro here!! Nice rhymin’ goin’ on here in tha verse; str8 street shit here for tha N.O.! Great job, doin’ tha damn thang on this beat! My Rating: 4.2

02. “Uptown Gangstaz” Feat. L.D. Herb
I like tha featured artist’s name AND this 4:54 length!! This should be a REAL tight joint!! >>> LOL @ tha Birdman sample all screwed (I think from “Pop Bottles”)! It makes tha song sound REAL good on this beat though! And, ta add BETTA qualities, tha drug shit in tha 1st verse from you iz REAL, REAL TIGHT!!! REALLY holdin’ it down fa tha streetz here!! You did such a REAL GR8 job on tha 1st verse here!! Tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ nice; remdin’ me of New York Rap music wit this beat. DEFINITELY feelin’ tha street lyrics; that’s MOSTLY what matters here!! And it’s back ta you on tha 3rd verse! I like tha “hataz wanna see me go down like some elevators” part, although it’s FALSE ‘cause you WON’T “go down” wit your quality!! DEFINITELY a NICE verse, ESPECIALLY tha ending wit tha “faces on t-shirts” part; RAW shit here!!! My Rating: 4.5

03. “Home Of The Dope (Remix)” Feat. C-Murder, Kayotic, Popeye & Doefus
I thought tha last CD was older, but who knows, this one might be newer? Tha Hoodstar CD had tha original version of this… Anyway, DEFINITELY lookin’ forward to a remix wit a WHOPPIN’ 6:50 on tha length!!! >>> Still hearin’ dat GR8 hook on this GR8 beat!! Glad ta hear it again, and now, you’re on tha 1st verse here, deliverin’ it REAL GOOD!! DEFINITELY keepin’ it street here wit all tha shit you spittin’ about!! Here comes this ANTICIPATIN’ 2nd verse from C-Murder… Yes, it’s him, and it’s DEFINITELY, ALWAYS street when it comes ta him!! Talk about for tha hood!! He just REALLY doesn’t disappoint wit this shit!! Now, we got tha 3rd verse here, and it’s just CONSISTENT!! Who doesn’t like street shit? Kayotic DOIN’ it BIG!! Anybody dat keeps it street deserves a NICE amount of money and street credit!! Shit yea!! Tha 4th verse from tha Popeye dude iz REAL, REAL GR8 wit tha flow and vocals!!! STILL keepin’ it street here; TOO TIGHT!!! Prolly tha HARDEST verse on this remix!!! We still got a remainin’ verse from Doefus, so let’s see tha newbie unleash himself on tha 5th verse!! Still good, although I REALLY like tha “smoke break” part; TIGHT shit all tha way through!! DEFINITELY told tha streetz what he ‘bout wit dat gutta, hood shit!! DEFINITELY a deserved remix right here!!! My Rating: 4.9

04. “U Can Catch Me” Feat. Curren$y, Mr. Marcelo & Roca B
I thought it was Magnolia Chop on tha feature; who’s Roca B? Oh, neva mind… I see an extended length of 4:47. Still, it has a NICE start here, and I’m DEFINITELY feelin’ tha 2009 Bounce feel in tha beat, lol! Gotta luv tha “dunn-dunn-dunn-dunn” Bounce beat! GREAT hood rappin’ here on tha 1st verse from you, doin’ tha damn thang to tha max!! Luv tha “blowin’ on purp” shit; tight shit here! Tha hook here iz DEFINITELY nice too; great ½ singin’/rappin’! Tight shit, and tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ good too from Mr. Marcelo! Fuckin’ feelin’ these rhymes, as they mix GREAT wit tha uptempo beat here!!! Keep tha rhymes comin’, y’all!! Tha 3rd verse here (Curren$y), and here, he sounds betta! Glad he sounds faster on tha verse this time! Nice job wit dis joint right here! To Add: I thought there was like 1:10 of silence at tha end, but it’s dubbin’; cool. My Current Rating: 4.6

05. “Interstate Traffic”
Ooh, look @ this title! Let’s see what you got ta offer! >>> *Whispering* Interesting street/drug talk in tha beginning! At about :30 in, tha beat came in, and it’s DEFINITELY cool here; like tha soundin’!! Cool rhymes, MOST definitely! You DEFINITELY know how ta keep it street; I MUST keep sayin’ it!! Tha 2nd verse addin’ MORE drug shit inta it, and I’m DEFINITELY inta this shit right here!! Now that I see tha title again, I’m REALLY inta this!! Glad you kept this shit REAL interestin’!! My Rating: 4.4

06. “Freshly Dressed” Feat. Curren$y
Got Baton Rouge on tha length (2:25), so this should be a NICE collab wit tha swag type of title! >>> I guess decent sample goin’ on here in tha beginning… Now, I’m hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and it’s soundin’ NICE wit tha beat! DEFINITELY on its N.O. shit right here! Good job deliverin’ dat shit, Var! Here’s dat boy Curren$y on tha 2nd verse… LMAO @ “lookin’ at my feet’ll make a nigga sneeze;” ah-choo, Curren$y; how’s that, lol!? Decent job, I would say. You KNOW, Var, that you’re betta than how Curren$y did on his verse! My Rating: 4.3

07. “Tomorrow” Feat. B Streezy
Interesting name fa tha featured artist… What will this joint bring to tha table? >>> Ehh… Kinda yucky on tha beat start. Tha beginning sounds scary wit tha Auto-Tune voice. Okay job on tha 1st verse, but not tha best I heard from you. Just okay singin’ on tha hook; nothin’ special, and not really for me here. No comment on tha 2nd verse; I’m lookin’ for my phone, so I’m focusin’ on that! No comment on tha singin’ bridge before tha song ended either. My Rating: 2.1

08. “Never Change”
It says “Chage” on tha back cover (you forgot tha “n”)… But, no anticipation level, so let’s get into it. >>> I don’t like tha Soul type of sample in tha hook; not really me again (I knew it). You do sound good on tha 1st verse wit tha facts. Nice job on tha 1st verse; I’ll offer this song a lyrical rating at least. Catchy “what’s up”s in tha 2nd verse. You said, “Nigga, dat’s neitin’;” that “neitin’” sayin’ of “nothin’” iz what my boy Blu Black says, so that’s a plus that you said it too. I thought there would be a 3rd verse, but it’s a bunch of gr8 shout outs at tha end. Lyrical Rating: 4.5 | My Rating: 3.0

½time: Sorry ta say it, but #7 & #8 pulled tha average CD rating down a WHOLE ½ point! You still holdin’ it down ‘cause tha previous 6 songs were REAL, REAL TIGHT, ya dig!! Average CD rating stands at 4.0 currently.

09. “Foolin’ Myself”
This iz missin’ from tha DatPiff folder ‘cause of it bein’ an AZ track or somethin’… Lemme hear a 30 second sample from tha DatPiff player then. >>> Not really my kinda beat. Not really likin’ tha R&B sample, although I like that it sounds like Fantasia. Too short ta judge, so tha rating can’t be that high… My Rating: 2.3

10. “Do It For The Gangstaz” Feat. Mr. Marcelo
Although a cool title like #2, DatPiff removed it from tha folder ‘cause of T.I.; let’s see what T.I. song… >>> Yuck; “Big Things Poppin’.” HATE ’07! You sounded good in tha beginning, and Celo doin’ a nice job too; pretty good on this! DatPiff only gave me 30 seconds, so I had ta judge it by that. My Rating: 3.8

11. “Stop Lying” Feat. Ka$h Flow & Roca B
Only 2:31 on tha length, but it’s 2:01 longer than tha previous samples I had… Different Ka$h Flow dude here, along wit Roca B, so let’s see how good this iz… >>> Oh, and speakin’ of Ka$h Flow (tha artist), it’s tha “Cash Flow” (wit a “C”) beat, lol. Didn’t expect anotha jacked beat, so let’s see what happens… Okay, catchy singin’ of tha original “Cash Flow” by also addin’ tha title of this song! Catchy flow goin’ on in tha 1st verse; REALLY feelin’ tha rhymes and street lyrics!! Iz dat Ka$h Flow tha artist at 1:01? Sounds GR8 on tha voice! He DEFINITELY sounds street on this, ya dig! Yea, “this ain’t tha movies;” I feel you on that, fa sho! Nice job, once again, and tha hook sounded good! My Rating: 4.2

12. “Feds Taking Pictures (Freestyle)”
Oh, it must be “Taking Pictures” from ’07 beat, lol! Tha otha day, I rememba’d this song randomly comin’ on in my head, thinkin’, “Wow! This was a long time ago!” Yes, it was ‘cause I DEFINITELY matured since then, sayin’ goodbye to all those pussy-ass cunts at my 1st college! For only 1:11, let’s see what you do here… >>> I rememba that beginning intro; gr8! No original hook, so I guess that’s why DatPiff kept it, lol. You sound GR8 in tha beginning, and your rappin’ iz DEFINITELY a plus here wit tha drug type of rappin’!! Wow, that was quick, but you REALLY did ya thang on this!! My Rating: 4.4

13. “I’m On It, I’m On It” Feat. Mr. Marcelo
Wow, a comma iz in tha title! FINALLY! Somebody KNEW when ta put a comma in tha title!! Regardless of that, I have a feelin’ what beat this’ll be. Let’s see if it original fa me or jacked. >>> It does sound original ta me, so this could be a plus! Tha start to tha hook iz DEFINITELY nice; OOH! Jiggalatin’ iz added here wit tha “’bout ta pop a pill;” DEFINITELY feelin’ tha Baton Rouge style here, ESPECIALLY wit tha 2nd ½ of tha hook havin’ a repetitiveness of tha title like BR songs!! You sound REAL COOL on tha shit you’re spittin’ here, as well as tha “smokin’ weed” part; gotta LUV dis shit right here!!! Mr. Marcelo iz doin’ such a GR8 job on tha 2nd verse; REALLY inta this shit!! Just hearin’ him makes me MUCH more anticipated fa this whole song itself!! REAL GOOD shit here, repeatin’ tha hook and err-thang! I liked tha slowed down ending too on tha end! My Rating: 4.8

14. “Gunz Up” Feat. Mr. Marcelo
Anotha familiar title, but I think y’all gon STAY original wit it this time!! >>> A lil’ odd wit tha beat intro, but it sounds NICE & GANGSTA wit you in tha beginning wit tha hook. Tha beat sounds a lil’ betta, so let’s see these REAL NICE, GUTTA, GANGSTA rhymes!! Mixin’ tha hustlin’ wit tha sexin’, lol; nice job in tha 1st verse, Calliope! Nice job on tha 1st verse, as you ALWAYS know how ta deliver a REAL GOOD verse!! Let’s hear how GR8 Celo does it on tha 2nd verse!! DEFINITELY soundin’ like he raw wit tha “breakin’ rules and laws since I was in grade school” part! DEFINITELY did a NICE job contributin’ to this mixtape ONCE again!! Anotha 2 verse song, but DEFINITELY good!! My Rating: 4.3

15. “Takin’ Shots” Feat. Curren$y
Looks like ANOTHA gr8 song; I predict a club banga this time. >>> Just like tha last song, this song has a scary beat intro once again. Okay, once again, it got betta at :14; nice hook from Curren$y repeatin’ tha hook. Sounds like it’s more for tha females; unexpected for tha title. Decent job on tha 1st verse; can’t complain. Let’s see if Curren$y has a 2nd verse… Yes, he does. I liked his verse betta than yours this time, but it was by a small amount. Pretty catchy song here, so I can’t complain on it. My Rating: 3.9

16. “One False Move (G-Mix)” Feat. C-Murder & Akon
A mix ta this song? Let’s see everything jam-packed inta 4:56! >>> Same beat here, only wit you on tha 1st verse this time. I don’t know why I ignored this song last year, but I didn’t hate it, so that was a good thing. It could’ve had more exposure, but either way, nice job contributin’ ta this song! We all KNOW C-Murder does tha damn thang at all times! What was wit tha censored word in his verse? Why clean? Gotta luv how he comes through on tha 3rd verse also, addin’ a NICE fast, hood style!! Even soundin’ NICE on tha 4th verse too wit C-Murder; I guess you (Calliope) just contributed to tha 1st verse; it all good though. Nice acapella from Akon on tha end! My Rating: 4.1

17. “Fallen”
It came up a Jay-Z song of tha same title when I looked at why it was removed from tha DatPiff folder. I guess I have ta only judge it on 30 seconds… >>> Not my kinda song; not likin’ tha beat. However, tha weird sample wit tha title repeatin’ sounds catchy. Sounded like you REALLY went off on it though, so I’ll give it some credit! Tha hook iz ehh though. My Rating: 2.9

Overall: Well, I DEFINITELY give you credit fa this HOT shit right here, ya heard me!! Some of this CD I liked betta than your Hoodstar one, but statistically, ‘cause there were a few bummers on here, tha Hoodstar one was better. You DEFINITELY have REAL GR8 rhymes for tha streetz, so I DEFINITELY wanna see you continue your Rap journey!

Review #320: Calliope Var "Hoodstar"

Reviewed on 10.16.2009 (Review #320)

Good morning, lol. It’s ya boy FrankieThaLuckyDog, on tha start of my Fall break ‘til Wednesday! I gon get buku shit outta tha way right now, so ta start it off, lemme review Calliope Var. I discovered this dude from Jimmy The DJ’s Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 3 CD, so now, I gon learn more about him! Here goes my review fa Calliope Var Hoodstar! Start Time: 11:31 AM | End Time: 12:31 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!

01. “Star In The Flesh”
Let’s start tha mixtape! >>> It started off wit no intro! Soundin’ pretty good wit tha beat and tha vibe here! Let’s see how you do rappin’… Yea, this iz good! Definitely feelin’ tha street lyrics here; I agree wit what you’re sayin’! Nice job, Jimmy, for introducin’ me to anotha rapper! We’ll let Jimmy be tha king of tha introductions to tha N.O. people now that I’m more focused/popular on Baton Rouge peeps! Enjoyed tha 1st verse, fa sho! Lookin’ forward to tha next one!! Luv all his “purp” lyrics/references! Nice lil’ “14, sellin’ cane” shit too! And soundin’ real motivated wit “can make 100 grand in a week” when it comes to tha streetz; that’s watz REALLY good!! My Rating: 4.4

02. “The Movie” Feat. Mr. Marcelo & Kayotic
Looks like a good set of features wit a GR8 title/theme, so this should equal a REAL GOOD song!! >>> Intro sounds anticipatin’, and sounds like a “movie,” lol. Tha beat sounds like a mix of New York Rap music vs. a “movie,” lol. Sounds like a good 1st verse, keepin’ it street! I like tha talkin’ also after tha 1st verse; nice shit here! Nice shit goin’ on in tha 2nd verse; on its drug shit! Yea, DEFINITELY a nice 2nd verse, and tha talkin’ that goes on (in replace of a hook) reminds me of older CDs in my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon! And we got true thug lyrics in tha 3rd verse too! Very consistent here wit all tha lyrics, rhymes, and flows!! I like tha 3rd verse a lot too, especially endin’ it wit, “nigga.” My Rating: 4.3

03. “Home Of The Dope (Calliope Anthem)” Feat. Kayotic
Prediction of top song on this CD? Looks like it based off tha title!! >>> A lil’ different beat start here, and it sounds pretty good! Lookin’ like a REAL nice fusion of tha beat and content here!! Feelin’ that repetitive hook goin’ on wit tha title; works REAL nice on this type of music!! Tha 1st verse iz soundin’ GOOD; str8 N.O. street music here that sounds NICE! Gr8 shit, and now, tha 2nd verse… It doesn’t list a feature, but he said, “Kayotic,” so I’m assumin’ Kayotic iz on tha 2nd verse. Anyway, tha shit iz soundin’ good, and I’m glad there was a “hidden” feature on here! Real cold ending too. Not sure about top song yet, so I’ll tie it wit tha 1st song! My Rating: 4.4

04. “Like Yeah” Feat. Mr. Marcelo
Tha last song was your “anthem,” so will this be an “anthem” too, lol? It looks like it!! >>> And it’s much longer this time, clockin’ at about 4:25 on tha length! Tha beat changed a lil’ on tha hook, and it’s still soundin’ NICE!! This shit sounds REAL good, so this iz a DEFINITE plus!! Really likin’ tha hook here, as it’s on its positive shit! Tha 1st verse from you iz sounded GR8! Everything spit iz for tha streetz, so y’all “non-street” people can’t handle it! Tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ good too; good job on tha consistency!! Mr. Marcelo doin’ tha damn thang on tha 2nd verse here; makes you wanna say, “yeah!!,” for tha verses and song! No 3rd verse? Sounds like it gon be a long, chantin’ ending I guess… Okay, that was just tha bridge ‘cause tha hook iz repeatin’! Nice job on tha beat endin’ too, as it was tha same as tha intro! My Rating: 4.5

05. “Money Don’t Make Me”
I’m assumin’ there’s a “y” missin’ for “money.” Let’s see how you gon do it, as this joint iz even longer now (4:53)! >>> A drum roll for tha intro? What will it lead into? Okay, sounds like an anticipatin’, goin’ hard type start wit tha Rock sound in tha beginning! Yea, I was right about tha title bein’ “money;” nice hook! Tha hook iz tha truth, and I’m sure you gon continue that on tha 1st verse! Yea, DEFINITELY feelin’ tha street/drug deal approach!! DEFINITELY a NICE 1st verse, and I KNOW this song gon have at least 3 verses!! Yea, ANOTHA REAL GOOD start to tha 2nd verse wit tha “purp” and shit; REALLY grindin’ here wit all tha “money!” REAL NICE drug shit around tha 2:40 mark too! Yes, a 3rd verse, and it’s you basically tellin’ tha truth in tha streetz! REALLY on its “money” shit here on this verse; good shit! TIGHT shit right here!! Tha ratings are REALLY consistent!!! Afta tha next song, we gon do tha average CD rating!! Ooh, tha ending had tha drum roll also! I like your strategy of havin’ tha intro beat and tha outro beat tha same! My Rating: 4.5

06. “You Lil’ Boys Artificial”
Tha titles just keep gettin’ BETTA & BETTA!! Tha length decreased ta 2:53, so let’s see how quick I can absorb tha interest in this song!! >>> Wit a short length, you KNOW there was no intro!! Went STR8 to tha hook, and it’s DEFINITELY GRIMY!!! REALLY on its gangsta shit right now wit tha REAL deep voice, as well as tha gangsta-ass shit goin’ on here!! Keep spittin’ this trap shit right here ‘cause it’s DEFINITELY gr8, as I’m hearin’ tha 1st verse right now!! REAL GOOD job on tha 1st verse!! This CD just gettin’ BETTA & BETTA!!! Real street shit goin’ on here in tha 2nd verse too! Lookin’ REALLY forward ta play this shit on my radio shift!! Nice ending wit tha gunshots!! My Rating: 4.6

½time: DEFINITELY much betta than I expected for a start!!! DEFINITELY goin’ REAL HARD right now in tha streets, and I expect people ta download it!! It’s on DatPiff as I’m lookin’ at tha tracklisting on there! Keep doin’ tha damn thang, Calliope! Tha average CD rating iz… basically what damn near EVERY song iz rated: 4.5!!!

07. “Dime A Dozen” Feat. Curren$y & Mr. Marcelo
Quite ironic that this title came up ‘cause now on Music Choice Electronica, there’s this new Electronic/Techno song by Udachi & Jubilee called “Paypur, and I luv how it has Curren$y samples in it from “Where Da Cash At?” wit its kick-ass beat!! I’m assumin’ this has tha same sample ‘cause in that “Paypur” song, it says, “dime a dozen;” let’s see!! >>> Tha beat iz a lil’ different, but it’s not that bad. Yup, this iz tha same sample. Let’s see how tha verses go… It’s Marcelo on tha 1st verse, and tha verses are still raw! Sounds like a conversation in tha 1st verse wit tha, “And she like,” and then, “I’m like,” type shit. Pretty good 1st verse; let’s see tha 2nd verse… I thought it was just a sample, but no, it’s Curren$y himself, lol! Pretty good rappin’ here; reminds me of a Lil’ Wayne style almost; good job. Nice job on tha 3rd verse too, comin’ up in tha streetz of N.O., ya dig! This joint flowed pretty good, I must say. My Rating: 4.0

08. “In My Projects” Feat. Mr. Marcelo
Looks like anotha REAL TIGHT joint right here wit tha title!! A short length of 2:40, so let’s see how quick it’ll last… >>> Anotha weird beat song? Good hook, but no comment on tha beat, especially tha stupid female vocal sample in tha background; str8 ruins tha excitement for me! Good thing this iz short! Sounds like a baby whinin’ in tha verse! Good job on tha lyrics though, but that doesn’t just cut it! At least tha 2nd verse has some trap type lyrics, but still, that “whinin’ baby” in tha verse! A real song right here, but all those negatives attack tha rating, sadly! Doesn’t turn out that bad though; what’s wit tha really fast, cold ending? My Rating: 3.4

09. “Gun On My Waist” Feat. Bunz & Jerkaman
Anotha real/hood title here, but I HOPE you have tha production game up fa this one too!! Can’t have it depressin’ like tha last song! >>> Okay, a lil’ betta here; sounds like tha #6 song’s hook, which I’m feelin’! Nice job on tha 1st verse; I like tha “muthafuck me? Naw, muthafuck you” shit! Tha lyrics go pretty good here, and I’m glad they keep it street wit this good beat! Tha start to tha 2nd verse sounds like it gon go hard!! “Crack ya fuckin’ head like a #2 pencil;” I must say, “SHARP,” lol!! Yes, tha 2nd verse DID its thang!!! REALLY spittin’ dat hood shit in tha 3rd verse; you KNOW tha street shit don’t stop!! MUCH betta song right here than #8!! My Rating: 4.4

10. “You Can Catch Me” Feat. Curren$y, Mr. Marcelo & Magnolia Chop
This was tha song Jimmy featured on his Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 3! Glad he picked it ‘cause on 1st listen, I rated it a 4.6! But, thanx to Jimmy, it looks like tha ID on DatPiff iz missin’ Magnolia Chop! Either way, it has a NICE start here, and I’m DEFINITELY feelin’ tha 2009 Bounce feel in tha beat, lol! My Current Rating: 4.6

11. “Must Be Dreamin’”
Not sure about tha title… I was like this wit tha 1st song, but tha 1st song turned out REAL good; let’s see this one… >>> Although there’s that gay female vocal sample in tha background, this one AT LEAST ain’t depressin’!! Tha beat DEFINITELY goes hard here wit tha Rock/dramatic/Hip-Hop feel!! Early hustla here wit “jumped off tha porch, 15, sellin’ green.” DEFINITELY feelin’ these rhymes right here, so this iz a plus!! This iz when I like story rhymes, and I’m glad you broke down what you did from 15 – 17! Tha hook iz REAL GR8, and I’m glad it’s REAL long too!! Hood shit goin’ on here in tha 2nd verse! By lookin’ at it havin’ only 1:08 left, it doesn’t look like it’ll have a 3rd verse… Either way, DEFINITELY holdin’ it down here!! Nice sign-off, and this joint DEFINITELY turned out REAL good!! My Rating: 4.6

12. “Walk With Me”
Tha last song… How will it last for “me?” >>> Okay, good, not a depressin’ start!! Looks like it gon go hard again!! Sounds like Halloween music, lol. Soundin’ like a long intro… You shouted out some people… Although DatPiff doesn’t list it, are they featured on here? Over a minute in; iz this gonna be a song, or just a skit nearly 4 minutes long? Neva mind, tha rappin’ finally came in at 1:16! Tha 1st verse iz soundin’ like it goin’ REAL HARD right here!! GR8 shit fa tha streetz!! What iz up wit tha talkin’ in tha background, repeatin’ throughout tha whole thing? REAL NICE freestyle outro track here; GR8 shit!! You REALLY did tha damn thang for 1:32 straight!! It was just you holdin’ this joint down; glad you gave all these shout outs out! My Rating: 4.3

Overall: Tha review last exactly an hour, and it was DEFINITELY a gr8 one!! What a NICE comeback for New Orleans for me!! As long as CDs are like this, then they’re DEFINITELY watz good!! REAL FLAMIN’ HOT street lyrics wit REAL GR8 production!! Glad you REALLY held it down here, and I hope you continue ta do so! You said in tha last song you been “doin’ this shit since ’98;” you got any older shit so I can throw it in my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon? Let me know!
