Review #1,880: Hype Records "Hype Enough Records (Limited Edition)"

Reviewed on 12.19.2019 (Review #1,880)

Keepin’ these reviewz goin’, as I’m gettin’ up & am hungry. However, I’m doin’ a review, first! Hype Records Hype Enough Records (Limited Edition), released in 1999 on Hype Enough Records! Start Time: 12:25 PM | End Time: 1:50 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2019 CD Review (Review #1,880) reviewed on 12.19.2019 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

Link To CD: N/A

01. “Souljafalyfe”
Producer: KLC
>>> Nice lil’ intro, here; sounds like tha undaground of New York or somethin’… I know this CD’s, like, a Soulja Slim compilation, so these tracks are comin’ from various years… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty dope; Slim, you got this real-ass, gangsta-ass shit on lock! Tha hook’s tha title that just repeats but it’s official; all about tha life of a “soulja!” Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s official, once again; you know what it iz! My Rating: 4.4

02. “Made For Walkin’” feat. KLC, Warren Mays & Mr. Serv-On
Producer: KLC
I know I know this one but not sure when I reviewed it or heard it… Interestin’ cars, in tha beginning; intense…? Of course, all about tha “souljaz” on tha hook, here; nice, includin’ tha quiet-soundin’ beat… Tha 1st verse’s nice from you; you know what it iz! Tha 2nd verse’s nice ta hear, of course; all about dem “souljaz,” once again…! My Current Rating: 4.3

03. “Powda Bag”
Producer: KLC
My Current Rating: 4.8

04. “Kickin’ It For Them Hoes”
Producer: KLC
>>> This title looks familiar, as well… Okay, I neva reviewed it but I have it on Soulja Fa Lyfe… Of course, beat’s hype & how you hold it down fa “them hoes,” on tha verses & hook, here! My Rating: 4.5

05. “Bitch Nigga” feat. Slugger & Mushatt
Producer: KLC
>>> Anotha one from Soulja Fa Lyfe, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s dope; all about holdin’ it down fa your streetz & tha streetz! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ nice from you; keep this G-shit up! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, soundin’ great, too; good shit… Luvin’ how gutta and street tha dude on tha 3rd verse sounds; you can hear dem roots in tha voice! Got you on tha endin’, here, chantin’ for dem “BN”s; good shit! My Rating: 4.5

06. “You Got It” feat. 6 Shot
Producer: KLC
My Current Rating: 4.7

07. “Trife Life” (6 Shot, Corey “C” & Lil’ Shaw)
Producer: Big Ro
>>> Nice gangsta-soundin’ beat fa tha ‘90s, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s pretty nice… Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, as well as tha hook; good shit fa da “trife” livin’… Tha 3rd verse sounds like some1 else, uncredited? They’re “19, ‘bout ta be 20,” as they say; good lil’ contribution… My Rating: 4.2

08. “Word Up” feat. C-Nille Da Bandit & 6 Shot
Producer: Kreeper
>>> Sounds like a gutta-soundin’ beat fa tha streetz, here; definitely nice…! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse & it’s nice… Not much of a hook, here? Still flows nicely, I guess? Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on, here; gotta luv tha dedication fa tha streetz, here! Nice job, C-Nille! Now, 6 Shot on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit just as much street shit as tha rest of y’all, here; you know what it iz! My Rating: 4.4

09. “Killa Konnections” feat. C-Nille Da Bandit & 6 Shot
Producer: Kreeper
>>> Hook sounds nice; sounds like a great sequel to tha previous track from all three of y’all, on here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & yeah, I feel tha same way I did for tha lineup, once again! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice ta hear, as well; nothin’ much else ta say… You appear on tha 2nd part of tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some nice street shit, as always…! I like how it went acapella, at some point; dope shit! My Rating: 4.4

10. “Combat” feat. Corey “C” & King Ric
Producer: Hakeem
>>> Beat/vibe sounds a lil’ jammin’ but at tha same time, for tha streetz, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you & you know what it iz wit these streetz; good shit! Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds nice wit King Ric wit tha singin’ about “Combat!” Sounds like tha Corey “C” dude on tha 2nd verse, here… Almost thought it was gon be C-Murder, who was born Corey, lol; N’awlinzness! Anyway, this dude got some good, consistent rhymes goin’ on, here; can’t complain… Got anotha dude on tha 3rd verse, here (this really tha King Ric dude?), soundin’ good fa this beat… I always keep thinkin’ tha dude sayin’, “And, tha BPM…,” on tha hook; random… My Rating: 4.1

11. “Da Heist” (6 Shot, C-Nille Da Bandit & Lil’ Shaw)
Producer: Big Ro
>>> Sounds good; more on tha east coast-soundin’ fa tha beat, once again? I think those two were good enough; rather have tha south! Tha 1st verse not too bad but tha 2nd verse sounds like someone from tha east or somethin’; good but not sinkin’ in my interest… Tha rest sounds okay; I just think I’m done with this non-Louisiana-soundin’ music… My Rating: 3.7

½time: Almost all these tracks are hella dope, here; you know what it iz wit you, Soulja! Just a lil’ thrown off by how tha New York sound randomly comes wit tha production…? Either way, a 4.4-rated CD, so far; keep it up!

12. “Slippin’”
Producer: KLC
My Current Rating: 4.9

13. “Lil’ Bit” feat. Big Reppa & QB1
Producer: KLC
>>> You sound a lil’ like B.G. on tha hook, here; beat’s chill/old-soundin’ fa “’94,” here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you & it cool; likin’ tha Big Band music in tha background, at times…! Got Reppa up next, comin’ through wit some good-soundin’ rhymes, as well; likin’ his vibe ta go wit yours… Iz it me or do these verses seem like they drag? My Rating: 4.0

14. “All I See Is Green” (6 Shot, Kay 9Mil & R.E.G.)
Producer: Big Ro
>>> Sounds okay but this sounds too much like New York, on tha beat… “I’m comin’ from LA;” this don’t sound like you? Maybe, you mean “New Orleans, LA,” rather than “Los Angeles?” I’ono but I think my non-Louisiana mind’s wanderin’… Either way, a decent 1st verse, here… Damn, not even ½way through this? Startin’ ta bore me fast wit this non-Magnolia Slim voice… My Rating: 3.5

15. “Free Up The Cream” (Hype Click)
Producer: Big Ro
>>> Anotha non-Louisiana-soundin’ track… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and tha rhymes sound consistent—fuck! This 6:45? Why? Even tha “Jay-Z” references; yuck! Where’s tha Louisiana vibe?! Accordin’ to tha 2nd verse, this has “S-I-X-S-H-O-T” on tha feature; nice! Like I said, tha consistent lyrics are nice; tha beat ain’t really my style, tho. My Rating: 3.4

16. “How Ya Figga”
Producer: Craig B
>>> Much shorter! This & tha last song’s average length equals, like, two normal songs… Hearin’ you (finally) on tha 1st verse & it sounds nice wit this Jamaican sample in tha background, here; nice… Hook sounds catchy as hell wit how you say tha title; gotta luv tha gangsta shit! Here you are on tha 2nd verse, as you “take a hit off tha blunt;” str8-up soulja shit! My Rating: 4.3

17. “Watch What U Say” (The Cartel)
Producer: Craig B
>>> Sounds nice wit this ‘90s beat… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s nice, as well as what’s goin’ on wit tha verse… Sounds great wit whomever you’re collaboratin’ with… Lol, just cut off, outta nowhere… My Rating: 4.2

18. “All Hail The King” (King Ric)
Producer: Hakeem
>>> “King Ric” from one of tha other—yeah, that’s him on tha verse, here, soundin’ good… My Rating: 4.1

19. “Victim Of The System” (Mista Real)
Producer: Hakeem
>>> This one ain’t you but it sounds good, here… My Rating: 3.8

20. “3rd Ward Convicted Felons” (3.C.F.)
Producer: DJ Tee
>>> Sounds a lil’ quieter on tha vocals, here but still cool… Nice rhymes fa tha verse, here, even tho tha beat back to tha New York shit… My Rating: 3.6

21. “Suck A Dick” (9 M.M.)
Producer: DJ Chill
>>> This one cool; all these last tracks pretty quick… My Rating: 3.9

22. “Bitches Come A Dime A Dozen” (The Black Hand)
Producer: Big Ro
>>> A good lil’ vibe ta end thangz off, here… Feelin’ tha collab, here; good lil’ vibe… My Rating: 4.0

Overall: Great job wit this one…! Didn’t realize all of what tha IDs of some of tha people were on here till I looked on Discogs… I updated tha info, now; should look good.

Review #1,604: Zoe Realla "Shit Just Got Realla (Hosted by DJ Chill)"

Reviewed on 12.02.2016 (Review #1,604)

Tryna counteract a headache, at tha moment… Got two more reviewz to do before I get to my old Louisiana CD reviewz… Here’s tha 1st one, brought to you by Travis James Entertainment & Kreature Lyfe Mentality: Zoe Realla Shit Just Got Realla (Hosted by DJ Chill), in preparation fa tha follow-up, which I will review after this! Today, they gave me off so I’m catchin’ up on err-thang!!! Start Time: 11:15 AM | End Time: 12:37 PM

01. “Walk Light” feat. Scotty Cain & Maine Musik
Kickin’ it off wit some of dis… >>> Nice lil’ intro from DJ Chill, here, and this beat’s pretty tight! Definitely somethin’ nice! Feelin’ tha hook, here; jammin’ and good street shit! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice; definitely some nice shit, here! Can’t complain! Y’all pros at dis!! Tha 2nd verse pretty consistent wit these rhymes; definitely nice! You know what was also nice? I just went to my job to get somethin’ 20 minutes ago and they all went nuts over me! They all were wonderin’ where I was and they even said that I was “a celebrity!” Gotta thank DJ B-Real fa tha celebrity status!! Too bad he don’t want none of my star power! And, saved tha best fa last? You on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit your “yeah” commands, lol! My Rating: 4.7

02. “Nowhere” feat. Maine Musik & Dame Cain
Likin’ all these Maine Musik collabs! >>> Mouse doin’ tha beat? Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this! Definitely soundin’ nice fa tha streetz, here! Good shit on tha hook, here! Good shit on tha 1st verse from Maine, doin’ tha damn thang, consistently! And, we got you on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, aimin’ right! And, Dame Cain on tha 3rd verse, spittin’ it like it’s nothin’; nice! My Rating: 4.5

03. “Trust Issues” feat. Jamar Major & Yani
Let’s get it!! >>> Nice lil’ southern beat wit you spittin’ some good shit on tha 1st verse, here; dope! Tha hook aight, but I’m not too crazy about tha voice… I won’t 100% hate on it, since you tend to make good tracks, Zoe… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from you and it sounds good ta hear, once again… And, anotha annoying voice toward tha end… It may’ve just been a lil’ bridge instead of a verse, but it’s ehh… My Rating: 3.8

04. “Rumors” feat. Kennedy Dha Boogieman & Dame Cain
Let’s see this Boogie Man…! >>> Mouse doin’ tha beat; leggo! Nice lil’ hook from you, here! It reminds me of how you always are, from when I first heard you wit dat Nu$$ie “Snitch” collab from last decade! You just lay down tha hook nice and calm, but you, literally, tha greatest!! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice from you, layin’ down tha facts! Gotta show you buku luv; followin’ me on Twitter’s a highlight! Really feelin’ tha 2nd verse, here, wit tha spellin’ of “R-U-M-O-R-S” and “D-E-A-D;” dope shit from Dha Boogie Man!! Excellent job with tha verse!! Tha 3rd verse from Mr. Cain sounds nice ta hear with tha consistent “oh-oh”-soundin’ rhymes… My Rating: 4.6

05. “Ventin’ A Lil’ Bit”
No features? Hope you gon hold it down (of course)! >>> Sounds like a lil’ calm beat, but it would feel better to me wit warm weather! Not bad wit how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse… Lol, you stuck on tha “rumors,” still, lol? I can tell; you mentioned tha word, already! I like how you said tha last set of lines in tha 1st verse, holdin’ tha notes (“shiiiit;” “diiiiick”); nice! Said tha title before tha hook (just talkin’) like it was tha ‘90s. That’s what I do when it comes to tha rappin’…! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, doin’ you… My Rating: 4.0

06. “True Colors” feat. Yani
Not really anticipatin’ tha feature, since that previous feature with Yani kinda had its issues… >>> And, tha unanticipatin’ feelin’ came “true”: Cyndi Lauper remake on tha hook? Bleh… Might as well not leave feedback for tha hook… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad wit how you comin’ through wit it… “I smell somethin’ fishy…, tuna!” Boom!! And, you comin’ through on tha 2nd verse in a nice way, too; can’t deny it, at times… I do have to admit, I do like when tha hook remakes, “That’s why I love you,” to, “That’s why, it’s, ‘fuck you!’” My Rating: 3.7

07. “Pain” feat. Q-Red
Let’s hear it!! >>> Q-Red doin’ tha beat, of course! Tha same “Hound” from Kevin Gates’ “Shit Could Get Real”? Ain’t really know much about them Hounds… A long intro, but it’s payin’ off with this intense-soundin’ production! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice! Yeah, you gotta admit, life’s choices are tough! Q-Red wit tha guitar’s pretty nice! And, even nicer: Him on tha hook! Definitely A+! You on tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ pretty nice! Definitely a nice collab! My Rating: 4.7

08. “Penitentiary EP”
Let’s hear this “EP”! >>> Oh boy, a B-Real beat! Damn, 7:56 on tha length?! Can’t be true!! Gotta feel that celeb status, tho!! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit how you comin’ through wit it on this interesting, slow beat! Interesting rhymes, but a lil’ too much? Like, why almost eight minutes? Even tha outro’s, like, 1:30! My Rating: 3.5

09. “A Whole Notha Mode”
>>> Feelin’ this beat and how you comin’ through on tha hook, chantin’ it up! Good shit! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit how you flowin’ on tha track… Tha 2nd verse pretty dope, too! Glad you havin’ fun wit this shit! Tha only cat that can prolly make “Duck, Duck, Goose” tight! My Rating: 4.4

½time: Doin’ pretty good, so far, of course! I ain’t doubt ya! Surprisingly, tha B-Real-produced track was tha least-rated, due to how long it was without transitioning… A few weird-soundin’ guests, but for tha most part, tha production’s on point and so are your tracks! A 4.2-rated CD, so far!

10. “Big Girls” feat. Kevin Gates
I believe I heard this from tha Bloody Murda (Promo EP)… Ironically, just like tha B-Real one, this was my lowest-ranked on that EP! My Current Rating: 4.2

11. “Shooters” feat. Yani, Racked-Up Ready & Rambo K-Kutta
Let’s hear it, despite tha Yani feature… >>> Sounds like a good beat, kinda like a throwback to that “Watch My Shoes”/Mouse/older Baton Rouge-soundin’ beats! Well, if this was Yani gon provide on tha hook, hopefully, that’s it! Sounds good; don’t need anything extra! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through in a nice way, here! Ready on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through nicely on tha track, too! It’s almost like he even has a throwback vibe to his flow, too, like them ’07 dayz! Keepin’ it goin’ wit Rambo on tha 3rd verse, soundin’ nice ta hear, as well! Good shit; nice collab! My Rating: 4.6

12. “Get It How U Live” feat. Scotty Cain, Maine Musik, Dame Cain & T.E.C.
Anotha big collab!! >>> “Take it back to tha dayz of tha old?” Have I heard before? Don’t look familiar… Mouse on tha beat, here, and it’s pretty jammin’! Definitely diggin’ tha title repeatin’ in tha background! Nice job wit this hook; tight-ass shit! Sounds like some Juve/Lil’ Wayne/Hot Boy$-type shit from tha late ‘90s! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty serious, too! Definitely feelin’ tha vibe y’all bringin’ to tha table! Hook’s definitely serious wit how y’all bringin’ it! Can’t deny this shit!! You sound good wit how you bringin’ tha heat on this track; dumb shit! My Rating: 4.8

13. “U Ain’t Got Dhat 2 Do” feat. Kennedy Dha Boogieman & Maine Musik
Let’s hear it! Did y’all run outta room on tha back cover or somethin’? >>> Sounds like it’s a good lil’ track based off tha beginning… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you spittin’ some good facts… Tha hook sounds decent; can’t deny it… Hearin’ Dha Boogieman on tha 2nd verse and he sound cool; can’t deny him! Rhymes and punchlines are dope! Maine Musik on tha 3rd verse and it sounds great, as always. However, why iz it that I’ve been always hearin’ reversed names or whateva? Like, why it gotta be censored? It’s crazy! He even said, “Watch what you say!” It’s like, “Watch what you say?!” My Rating: 4.3

14. “Nah” feat. Maine Musik, Dame Cain & T.E.C.
>>> Sounds like a cool lil’ track wit tha “nah” on tha hook! I like how it’s kinda meant for ‘now’ and sounds good ta be “Nah”! Nice job wit tha hook, Zoe! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit dat good shit… Tha 2nd verse soundin’ good; almost sounds like a younger Lil’ Cali or somethin’… I see tha names are reversed on tha back cover, as opposed to tha tracklist on tha mp3 info… Well, with that bein’ said, Maine Musik before Dame Cain… Nice job wit tha collaboration between tha 3rd verse, tho; feelin’ it… My Rating: 4.4

15. “Honey Love”
Like Gloria, a “honey!” >>> Ain’t expect an R&B-type track outta nowhere, but I like how you sound in tha beginning… Let’s see how we gon do wit Q-Red doin’ this beat… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it ain’t too bad; definitely likin’ tha beat, lol… Tha hook’s a ‘90s sample; decent, but not bad… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, as well… Tha rest of this was pretty nice; definitely likin’ tha hook, too, lol… Speakin’ of Gloria from my job, lol, even mentioned “lemon” on tha sample, toward tha end! “How are tha lemons?!,” every morning!! My Rating: 3.9

16. “Used 2 Be In Love Witcha” feat. Yani
Now, I’ono if this’ll compare to Glor’s “Honey [Love]”! >>> Yeah, this kinda less-exciting than tha previous track but it’s whateva wit Yani on tha hook… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it decent… You ain’t wanna do a 2nd verse? Yani on tha 2nd verse; not interested in most of these rhymes… Neva mind, it iz you on tha 2nd verse but that was a lil’ extended of a hook from Yani, earlier… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it ain’t bad, once again; can’t complain… My Rating: 3.1

17. “Judas”
>>> Music before my job existed? Now, we got Gotye & Kimbra “Somebody That I Used To Know” on tha sample, here… It’s crazy ‘cause back when that song was big, four years ago, I was still pretty serious about all these reviewz and all this Louisiana shit. So, for it to be sampled, I almost feel like we in tha same world. Well, we really not…! B-Real used to care about me/be connected wit me! It’s all good, tho! Luv music before my job existed! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ catchy wit how you comin’ through ova this beat… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse, here, and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, as well… My Rating: 4.2

18. “Another Man”
>>> Endin’ it with a Q-Red beat; let’s see, here… Kinda sounds like it gon be sad or somethin’? I’ono how serious I can take this beat, as it’s kinda poppy. However, it has its quality? You on tha 1st verse ain’t too bad, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s bleh…; nothin’ really goin’ on wit tha sample… And, hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it ain’t bad; nothin’ I can really say, tho… My Rating: 2.6

Overall: I have to say, tha front and back cover to this CD’s definitely dope!! You got them royal colors of black and gold on; dumb shit!! Gotta look up to ya at all times, ya dig?! Too much grindin’, to where I had a headache and had to nap for a few hours before I got to finish this… But, anyway, I thought you did a nice job wit this! Makes me excited to know that I have even more to peep out from you! Can’t wait ta hear! Keep tha excellent production crew and features comin’!!

Review #1,426: Tony Tumac "S.O.O.N. Sampler EP (Hosted by DJ Chill)"

Reviewed on 1.27.2015 (Review #1,426)

Been takin’ me a while to catch up on things, lately, with a lotta work gettin’ in tha way. However, I’m finally ready to review this one: Tony Tumac S.O.O.N. Sampler EP (Hosted by DJ Chill). Sponsored by Premonition Productions, Tumac hit me up via Facebook a few months ago and wanted to get at me. In tha mist of my current, confusing state, I decided to chop it up with him, anyway, and he gave me a lil’ motivation to keep things goin’… So, without further or do, lemme catch up on a few reviewz! This my 1st rap one of 2015! Start Time: 6:22 PM | End Time: 6:43 PM

If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Ain’t No Love”
>>> Real nice beat start, here… Hmm, not really feelin’ mixin’ in tha beginning, especially for a Sampler EP… Despite startin’ tha opening track off with your “homie who just passed away,” these rhymes are pretty consistent. Sounds like a pretty good joint with tha hook, here; nice job… Tha 2nd verse sounds nice with “all they offer iz, ‘Huh bruh!’,” despite them bein’ fake to you; nice call, right there… Tha 3rd verse’s kinda fast on tha flow… Not as awkward as I thought it was gon be; it good… According to tha ending, “Q-Red produced tha track.” My Rating: 4.2

02. “Wonderful” feat. Max Minelli, Lil’ Cali & Josh Miles
>>> This sounds pretty nice; I’m feelin’ this one better with Cali on tha hook and that catchy flow that makes tha weather feel hot out, despite bein’ in a blizzard, right now! You’re on tha 1st verse and it sounds good; nice job with your rhymes… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse, as well; sounds nice, as well, though I didn’t think there would be room for you twice on this track with all these features… Max on tha 3rd verse, here… More on a sex tip, here; guess that’s his perspective on “wonderful,” at tha moment? I’d rather him rap on a street level, includin’ not bein’ “wonderful,” all tha time! My Rating: 4.3

½time: Only two jointz and they’re nice, so far… Together, they combine to a 4.3 (rounded up) CD rating, currently…

03. “No Sense” feat. X-Fyle
>>> An “ass” song, here, with some different-soundin’ beats from X-Fyle… I dunno if I can truly dig an “ass” song from you… Tha beats sound good, though it almost sounds a lil’ plain, at times… Tha 1st verse sounds like you’re tryin’ kinda hard to push out lyrics for a radio-friendly single or somethin’… Tha 2nd verse’s whatever, too… Damn, 4:06 on tha length for this kinda joint? Prolly could’ve only been two verses and I would’ve been fine… Yeah, 4:06? One whole second too much from this girl I like at my job’s birthday—a whole second, lol! Anyway, tha 3rd verse iz yada-yada-yada for me… Oh, in better news, while reviewin’ this, I must be like Lil’ Cali ‘cause I just got a “work call” (well, text) to work 13 hours tomorrow! You already know!! My Rating: 3.6

04. “The Good Life” feat. Josh Miles
>>> Sounds pretty good on tha 1st verse, includin’ this chill/moderate-soundin’ beat… Tha hook from Josh sounds nice with him singin’; I’ll give him props. Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice with you rappin’ pretty fast. I’ll give this one credit for tha faster rappin’; you sound good with your on-tha-come-up rhymes… My Rating: 4.2

05. “Purple’s My Favorite Color” feat. Lil’ One The Champ
I remember it… Copy/pasting tha review from my 14th mixtape compilation: Good hook and beat. Nice job, Tumac, wit tha consistent rhymes on tha 1st verse. More “weed” reppin’, here, wit Lil’ One The Champ on tha 2nd verse; good, good… Great rhymes, but I dunno about havin’ 100% positive rhymes. It’s like, negative things can happen in life… Switchin’ it up as it’s back to Tony, comin’ through wit a different “Steve Harvey/Family Feud” way, on tha 3rd verse; great job wit tha consistency! My Current Rating: 4.4

EDIT: I relate to this song much more, now! Back when I reviewed this, I neva got high before (smh, how fuckin’ faggy!!). Now, I do it at least once a week, luvin’ every moment for myself and myself only!! I dunno if I’ll eva have tha kinda self-esteem to review a Louisiana CD high, though, unless it’s a ‘90s one, maybe? Either way, nice to bring this up again!

Overall: For five jointz, this was pretty nice… Nothing really too bad, here; you get tha props for me and I feel like reviewin’ again—well, sorta, since I just got hit up to work a double tomorrow (13 hours, 4 AM – 5 PM)! LOL, any way to take my attention away from tha reviewz! That’s why, y’all really gotta value what I do ‘cause I ain’t available too much, anymore! But yeah, keep up tha grind!

Review #1,321: Spitta "Fresh Outta Jail (Hosted by DJ Chill)"

Reviewed on 9.04.2013 (Review #1,321)

Here’s tha last review for today I finna do: Spitta—from Badd Nooze—Fresh Outta Jail (Hosted by DJ Chill)! I found out about tha release of this CD pretty early, thanx ta lookin’ at Percy Keith retweet your status: https://twitter.com/spitta_badnewz/status/375016643191386113
It’s a shock that Percy Keith retweeted you; you didn’t even tag him in it!! How you do dat, Spitta? You know, I’m tha biggest loser, now-a-dayz? No one gives a fuck about me anymore! Tha Louisiana world and underground’s ready to crumble, once no one can find me, soon! I can’t wait ‘til people are in pain, tryna figure out what happened to me, where I’m at, and more! Tha pain iz comin’ real soon!!! #opportunitiesonthaway Start Time: 5:25 PM | End Time: 6:25 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

© 2013 CD Review (Review #1,321) reviewed on 9.04.2013 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Intro”
Must have rappin’ on it if it’s 3:33! >>> DJ Chill on tha intro, here… Beat sounds nice ta rap on, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and you startin’ off wit hypin’ up tha hoes, here… Rhymes sound nice, includin’ all tha “Ralph Lauren” you got on, too. Sucks that you “ignored tha text;” can’t understand why this music biz world luvs ignoring people! I’m tha most-ignored person that supports Louisiana of all time! :( Definitely feelin’ how you comin’ through on tha mic, here! Can neva deny tha way you spit tha shit on any track!! My Rating: 4.5

02. “Fresh Outta Jail”
Time ta hear it! >>> Sirens blastin’ through tha beat wit Q-Red producin’! Hook almost reminds me of a Young Jeezy flow. Nice job wit comin’ through on this hook! Your question: “You eva lost err-body that was close to you?” Answer for me iz, “No!” At 25 years-old, I’ve neva lost a friend I’ve known in person. Tha 1st verse’s pretty nice; I think my whole review for every verse of yours gon be, “Very consistent,” or, “Very nice,” or, “Nothin’ wack, here!” Each verse gon be very similar! Feelin’ how you “smokin’ tha L” and “mixin’” shit on tha 2nd verse, here! You’re one of tha best dudes in Baton Rouge! Hope you neva get rid of your dreads!! Speakin’ of “that building,” I’ve been goin’ to abandoned buildings with my cousins, recently. Tha shit’s very theraputic fa me, compared ta all tha fantasy bullshit I’ve been dealin’ with! Gotta luv it, with graffiti and bein’ high, high! My Rating: 4.6

03. “Trust Dat” Feat. Bitty & Mr. McDonald
How ‘bout some Duck Sauce? Naw, I’m just playin’! But, I’m wonderin’ what this McDonald dude sounds like! >>> Gangsta-soundin’ beat fa tha 225, here! You and your middle fingaz consistently up durin’ tha 1st verse, not givin’ a “fuck” ‘bout anything! Keep “shittin’ on ‘em,” Spitta! Every toilet in tha world needs you!! Prolly should throw some fake rappers in tha toilet before your asshole crushes ‘em! Anyway, wit tha great-soundin’ 1st verse you spit, tha hook sounds pretty nice! Almost reminds me of a Louisiana version of Big Sean or someone in tha current mainstream world… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and they sound like they’re on your level wit how they’re deliverin’ tha rhymes, here… Of course, you can’t deny this “coach” / “host!” Also, wit tha 2nd hook, it sounds like a random, Magnolia Chop-like dude outta nowhere, addin’ vocals; interestin’… Not exactly sure where tha McDonald dude iz (that background-soundin’ Magnolia Chop?), but tha remainder of this iz tha hook and some extra vocals; nice… My Rating: 4.3

04. “Probation & Parole”
>>> “Hardbody (Hardbody)…” Glad, as a “street nigga,” that you don’t “make too many songs fa them hoes.” It’s all about stayin’ on topic fa tha streetz! Tha hook’s pretty catchy, once again! And, tha 1st verse sounds nice and consistent wit this in-tha-trap-soundin’ beat! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, as you [were] “in tha parish!” It almost sounded like you said, “Rappin’ for Zeus,” or somethin’; nice, as I gon give a shout out ta Jigga House Records’ Zeus! My Rating: 4.4

05. “Official”
>>> More of that “Hardbody (Hardbody)” dude on tha beat… Nice lil’ “hustle” anthem, here! Tha streetz neva disappointed!! Got you on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some nice shit, as your mind’s continuously deliverin’ dat street shit! A lotta catchy punchlines wit “brain” and “cells” on tha 2nd verse, here! Your “pain” iz so strong, dat you’d give “a hoe a pain pill” if your pain inflicts so much damage, lol! A random dude, reppin’ tha BR “NWA,” speakin’ toward tha end… Nice lil’ ending. My Rating: 4.5

06. “Bust Ya Head” Feat. Level
Huh? Level? He doesn’t answer his phone so how did you get this feature to happen?! Crazy shit!! >>> Beat sounds like it’s on some good, mainstream-soundin’ southern shit… You speakin’ in tha 3rd person on tha hook, too, which sounds catchy. Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit how your “bitch” holdin’ you down… I luv how a “pill” can get you ta do many things! It’s like, one thing that can grab you by tha balls iz a “pill;” interestin’! There’s shit that grabs me by tha balls, too! And, here’s an angry Level on tha 2nd verse. It’s like, where he comin’ outta? Again, he spits way too much ‘above-tha-regular-guy’-type of rhymes, but I always fall for ‘em ‘cause they sound great on tha mic! Damn, this seemed like a short song… My Rating: 4.6

07. “Runnin’” Feat. Racked Up Ready
Why “Racked Up Ready”? I miss tha dayz of “Young Ready”! This September 18th gon mark tha ½-decade celebration (wow, five years!) of when I got his letter in tha mail from jail! Too bad that was, like, one of Ready’s only moments with me! Outta five years? Pathetic! >>> Okay, this iz a catchy hook! Kinda sounds like one you can remember wit all tha “I’m runnin’, I’m runnin’!” Great hook, Spit!! Got Racked Up Ready on tha 1st verse, here… Okay, feelin’ what he comin’ through wit; I can feel a full Baton Rouge perspective, here, and not no wannabe-mainstream shit! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit a I-ain’t-learn-my-lesson-type of way; I’m diggin’ it! I just hope that gettin’ in touch wit tha Lucky Dog’s still cool, though… My Rating: 4.7

08. “Freestyle”
>>> Nice intro from DJ Chill, talkin’ ‘bout tha “reality” of “I’ma sleep when I die!” Hearin’ what you got goin’ on in tha 1st minute, here, and it’s consistent; keep tha rhymes comin’!! Hearin’ what you got durin’ tha 2nd minute, and it’s all about you and your “hard-ass head!” “I was only 16 when I got tha glock;” all I know iz November 13, 2012’ll prolly be tha only day I’ve touched a gun. We were movin’ outta my great-grandma’s house in Florida, and in tha top of tha closet was a rifle. We just threw it out, as it was my great-grandpa’s. Tha 3rd minute and 4th minute of this just flows non-stop; you can’t deny these consistent rhymes!! You must rap while you’re peeing; rap while you’re shitting; rap while you’re havin’ sex; rap while you’re in tha shower; rap while you’re sleeping; rap while you’re sleepwalking, too!! My Rating: 4.7

½time: How can you not luv Spitta?! A 4.5-rated CD, currently; keep this consistent shit up!!!!!

09. “Section”
>>> Feelin’ tha “section” you representin’, here! Talk about your “racist”-ass wit tha “three Ks,” lol! Damn, what else will you think of?! Anotha joint just freestyled? Wow, you don’t need any hooks!! Or, just one really long verse iz how you comin’ wit it? Interesting… Oh wait, tha last 20 seconds iz tha 2nd verse; damn, crammin’ everything in! You just murdered “tha beat; no need ta investigate!” My Rating: 4.6

10. “Slangin’ Iron” Feat. Percy Keith & Clever Kev
*In a positive, hyped-up attitude* That fuckin’ Percy Keith!!! Ahh!!! He ain’t gettin’ in touch wit me!! What am I missing? Do I have to fuck a bitch in front of him? Oh wait, maybe, I have to be “street”? Too bad, some of those things don’t happen… But, I’m dyin’ ta hear this collaboration!! >>> Feelin’ tha beat start; sounds like one of those jointz I’m really anticipated ta hear, based off tha start and collaboration!! Strictly “slangin’ iron” on tha hook, here; good shit!! Anotha one of those “Runnin’”-type hooks! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and accordin’ ta you, everything about you iz long: tha “dick,” tha “4-5,” your history, your reputation; no wonder, you’re well-respected by your listeners/fans!! Okay, here’s Percy on tha 2nd verse!! Oh, he even got tha attention of my rappin’ granny, as we’re tryna get his #! It’s like, how do you get in touch wit Percy Keith to where he’ll answer?! Catchy rhymes, here. Sounds like he talkin’ a lot about his “dick,” here… Guess anything can slang on tha track? Definitely felt how Percy Keith came through on tha 2nd verse; can’t deny him, at times! Though sometimes I feel 50/50 about his tracks/features, some of his shit’s too addictive to listen to! Got Clever Kev on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit consistency like you, Spitta, too! Bet he talks to Percy Keith frequently, too, right? I know tha whole world of BR’s way ahead of me, right? My Rating: 4.7

11. “Michael, Jason & Freddie” Feat. Clever Kev
My brother & stepdad on tha title, lol! >>> I like how tha beat has that (I hate ta say it) “Crank Dat (Soulja Boy)” sound to it. Wish I could describe that sound betta… But, that sound always catches my attention, so tha beat’s on-n-poppin’, here! You got shit on lock wit tha 1st verse, too! One of tha longer songs on this CD, so you holdin’ it down extended, here! Pretty long 1st verse, here; will there be only two verses? I always say, two verses are catchier and better for songs than three verses! Guess it just went into Clever Kev ‘round 1:53? Didn’t even realize where tha hook was; came outta nowhere… But, this 2nd verse sounds nice, too; felt like this shit blended in… Oh, now, I hear tha title in tha hook; came outta nowhere, at first, and it’s pretty catchy, on some murder-like shit! Now, it’s back ta you on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit sneakin’ your “gun in tha club.” Ehh, hope no one does that kinda shit wit me around. Then, no one’ll eva see me. “Today Monday; I’m tryna sleep tha whole Tuesday.” Uh, why “sleep”? Rappers don’t “sleep!” As Savage says, “No rest, no sleep!!” Nice ending wit tha “graduation” line: “Just like a graduation, niggaz gettin’ clapped at!” My Rating: 4.4

12. “Dirk” Feat. Clever Kev
Thought this said, “Dick,” ‘cause I know how much y’all street dudes luv havin’ sex! >>> Definitely likin’ tha beat, on some cold, 007-like music that I luv ta hear on these underground, Louisiana tracks!! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit dat gangsta-ass “program” shit, ova this kick-ass track!! Comin’ through wit your weapon on tha hook, as a “fire-breathin’ dragon!” Yea, even down ta hearin’ elements like “fire,” and big creatures like a “dragon” iz a major plus, too!! You really got this shit on lock!!! Here goes Clever Kev on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, encounterin’ “Aladdin,” lol! I like how he said, “Genie.” LOL, rappin’ granny & I visited tha Zeus building in New Jersey on Jigga House Records’ Zeus’ birthday, back on August 24, 2013, and I visited it ‘cause it was Zeus’ birthday. I told my granny, “If it was your friend, Genie’s birthday, and there was a live genie hours away, would you drive to it to get a picture in front of it for her?” LOL, she said, “No way!” I guess you can see tha perseverance I have fa some of these rappers, huh? Feels like I have tha passion, at times, but am really startin’ ta lose it, since no one cares about me, anymore. :( But, Spitta, you’re on tha 3rd verse, here, and this shit sounds nice, once again!! My Rating: 4.7

13. “NWA”
>>> “Favorite number 47”? Interestin’, as my “favorite number” iz 4. LOL, minus tha “7.” Anyway, tha beat sounds nice, here, ta rap on… Strictly droppin’ your “nuts” on these bitch-asses! Oh, so I see what this “NWA” title stands for: “Niggaz With Ammunition!” Gangsta shit at its finest!! Keepin’ shit goin’ on tha 2nd verse, too, “straight floppin’ ya!!” Even a 3rd verse on this track, too! “Carmen Sandiego;” talk about throwback, even though today’s Wednesday! Yesterday, I was lookin’ up that old show, Kablam!, from Nick, and it was ‘cause it reminded me of Crystal Waters “100% Pure Love”, back when I was little, in tha ‘90s. LOL, talk about females ruling tha nation: Thunder Girl!! My Rating: 4.5

14. “Recruiter (Distributor)”
Speakin’ of tha ‘90s and this title—tha part in parenthesis—I was watchin’ speedruns of Star Wars: Shadows Of The Empire, for Nintendo 64, yesterday and tha night before. They were fightin’ with tha Distributor weapon; very powerful! So, let’s see tha power, here! >>> Beat sounds nice; feelin’ those rock sounds in tha background! Strictly comin’ through wit dat “Distributor” on them lames, on tha hook, here!! Tha 1st verse sounds pretty nice, too; you can’t be stopped!! No wonder why Miley Cyrus went to get street cred and made “We Can’t Stop”, lol… Tha 2nd verse sounds catchy, too, and you’re gettin’ your “dick” eaten “up,” too, on tha track, followin’ that “eat dat dick up” trend? Crazy… A 3rd verse, too… Oh, so your real name’s “Jason”? Was that why “Jason” was in that “Michael, Jason & Freddie” title? Tha cool thing iz, you born in ’84, too; damn, what don’t you have that’s tha shit?! Good 3rd verse, again! My Rating: 4.4

15. “Hamburger Helper”
Wow… Thought it said, “Hamburger Helicopter,” on tha title, lol… >>> Beat sounds good, on a mainstream, southern tip. Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and you comin’ through wit good shit… Talk about “resting in peace”: Whether you got tha piece next to you or not, a “rest in peace” atmosphere’s always around you and who you encounter! Damn! That’s raw! Nice hook, too! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse, and you get yourself into a DMX-like rap sheet, it sounds like? It’s like, how can you not luv DMX? You must be tha laidback version of him in Baton Rouge? What I mean by laidback iz not soft: I mean, he usually growls on tha track; you just spit this shit wit a regular voice. And, keepin’ this shit goin’, you got tha “Lasagna” fa these people! Even more “eat dat dick up” shit fa you and your 29-year-old-ass, lol! My Rating: 4.3

16. “Gun Smoke”
Endin’ it with this… >>> Sounds like a faster vibe… Feelin’ tha shit you spittin’, Spitta, once again! Tha hook sounds nice, on some “Soulja Slim” sample shit! Can’t believe this Thanksgiving Eve gon be a decade since he was murdered! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, too! Looks like we gon have room fa a 3rd verse? Maybe, an outro? Let’s see… Yea, sounds like an outro gon come ‘cause tha hook repeats… Yup, got an outro from DJ Chill, here! Too bad “mixtape;” guess albums are faggy, now? I mean, this actually sounds like a “mixtape,” so at least it ain’t in a fake format! Still, people are obsessed! My Rating: 4.4

Overall: Exactly an hour-long review, here! And, you can’t be stopped, Spitta!! You brought tha heat on every track!!! No fillers, here!! Tha collaborations and beats were off tha chain!! Keep up tha great work!! Not sure how important or how much longer I gon last after you see this review, but if you do want some video work done, and wanna be creative by lettin’ my creative talent do tha talkin’, then, hit me up! If not, I guess this anotha CD just bein’ a fart in tha wind, no matter how well I rated it!
