Review #1,987: Decky Boy "Better Off Dead"

Reviewed on 6.05.2021 (Review #1,987)

Non-stop grindin’ till I hit my 2,000th review! I have 13 more ta go! Up next, my 1,987th review: Decky Boy Better Off Dead, released in 2000 on Keep Movin’ Records! Fa those that don’t know, Decky Boy passed away on October 29, 2011, tha same day we lost Cookie, tha dog that barks in my tag. I had made a tribute video back then but since this January, my FrankieThaLuckyDog YouTube got deleted. I’m in tha process of gettin’ my throwback videoz back on my new YouTube, LuckyDogz Entertainment. Hopefully, sometyme later this year, when I’m done doin’ my music shit & am more focused, I can try & get all my throwback shit back online. Also, despite my throwback videoz not currently online, I still have tha news stories’ text on my blog. I see that tha Discogs profile for Decky shows pieces of my tribute video’s text on there. I noticed when I seen tha semi-colon that it had ta be taken from me & it was! Interestin’ but fa now, lemme get into this review! Start Tyme: 11:07 AM | End Tyme: 12:21 PM

Disclaimer:
I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

>>> Also, as of last year, R.I.P. to Mr. West (Ed West); sad that he had to pass on… Hearin’ tha hook from him & it sounds good, despite it bein’ a slow, depressed track this early in tha release… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & your rhymes are definitely official, tho; can’t deny tha consistent, fast rappin’! At least tha way you rap doesn’t show signs of feelin’ depressed; tha rhymes uplift you…! Keepin’ this goin’ with tha 2nd verse & tha rapid-paced rhymes are still tha shit, here; gotta dig ‘em…! Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> Good beat & it sounds like you’re havin’ fun with tha 1st verse, here; great job…! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s like a Daft Punk/computerized voice? Weird but cool; also, gotta feel your middle finger to “tha laws,” as well. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, even with tha computerized voice followin’ you… Keepin’ this movin’ with tha 3rd verse & I can dig what’s goin’ on, here; gotta keep grindin’ & stayin’ focused! My Rating: 4.3

07. “Pimped Out”
Producer: Brent Dixon
>>> Beat a lil’ dry but has a lil’ bit of good to it; we’ll see how this goes… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & you sound nice & focused with your rhymes; luvin’ how it’s a fast flow & then, slower one… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds good; where’s tha hook? Did tha verses not transition to it properly? I’ono but hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it sounds cool with tha fast rappin’; givin’ you props after props… My Rating: 3.9

08. “My Man”
Producer: Brent Dixon
>>> Sounds like an okay beat; almost sounds like it’s a lil’ less Louisiana & more for tha Northeast? I’ono but it sounds like a good/okay lil’ 1st verse, here; keep stayin’ focused! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good wit how you bringin’ heat to tha streetz; props fa warnin’ these peeps! This shit continues with tha 2nd verse, right nah, soundin’ like good rappin’ as if it was tha ‘90s; huh bruh…! Hearin’ tha rest of this & I’m proud of you fa stayin’ focused with this catchy shit fa tha hood…! My Rating: 4.0

09. “Tomorrow” feat. Mr. West
Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> Sounds like an okay beat & tha R&B hook from Ed West, here; nice lil’ way ta relax, I guess? ½tyme: Of course, this release iz definitely dope! True N’awlinz material, as you tell tha stories of tha streetz in a catchy, energetic, gutta, aggressive & important way! Keep it up! A 4.2 iz what I’m givin’ this release for tha average rating, so far…!

10. “B.O.D.”
Producer: Brent Dixon
>>> Beat ain’t too bad, here; sounds like Brent likes tha New York sound? Hearin’ tha 1st verse from what you got goin’ on & it’s okay with tha rhymes; consistent rhymes but just an okay song fa me, so far… Finally, I’m hearin’ tha hook & it sounds okay; sounds like you’re a lil’ depressed? Tha title stands as tha title track of this album, “Better Off Dead”, accordin’ to tha hook… Hearin’ tha rest of this shit & it sounds okay; you keepin’ tha consistency goin’ with tha rhymes, at least… Sounds like a lotta hook parts, toward tha end; I think it’s a lil’ too much? It’s not like it’s a bounce chant… My Rating: 3.3

11. “My Block” feat. 2XL & Big Rob
Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> Sounds like a dope lil’ 1st verse & beat, here; definitely nice with how you focused fa tha streetz, all tha tyme! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s definitely catchy with how y’all deliver tha content fa y’all “block”! Also, I remember this from randomly playin’ it on my then-radio show, “Tha Louisiana Pit”; good tymes! Continuin’ on with tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through with a nice set of consistent rhymes & vibes, here; gotta dig that flow, too! Nothin’ but catchiness oozin’ outta it! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & tha aggressive, fast-paced rhymes are too hot to be stopped!! Gotta dig this to tha max!! Also, a really quick outro! My Rating: 4.6

12. “Where My Mask At”
Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> Sounds like a dope lil’ beat & 1st verse, here; keep stayin’ focused! This what tha streetz of New Orleans & tha fans of today need!! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s definitely poppin’; gotta luv tha Louisiana/Graveyard Soldjas vibe! Keepin’ this shit goin’ with tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ pretty dope; always gotta keep it kiggy-kiggy-catchy! Mo shit comin’ outta this track with tha 3rd verse, here, definitely soundin’ nice ta hear; good shit! Also, a nice lil’ outro, courtesy of wearin’ tha “mask”! My Rating: 4.4

13. “The Game Is Raw” feat. Big Rob
Producer: Dezo
>>> Beat’s cool/a lil’ on tha slower vibe ta rap on, here…; hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds good. I feel what you bringin’, here, except some of tha other beats sounded betta… Tha drug content toward tha near-end of tha 1st verse iz pretty “raw”; gotta put in dat work! Hearin’ tha hook & it ain’t too bad ta flow with this track, here; I respect it. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds like an okay lil’ verse; gotta keep it movin’… Keepin’ this shit goin’ with tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ catchy, rapid & dope fa tha streetz; good goin’, Decky…! My Rating: 4.1

14. “Keep Movin’” feat. Ms. Tonya
Producer: Full Pack Productions
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ beat fa tha N.O. streetz, here; good shit… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you & it sounds good with your story-like rhymes; I digz it… Hearin’ tha hook from this Tonya girl…; sounds like motivation but it sounds a lil’ on tha depressin’ side fa me, with how she comes thru wit it… Anyway, keepin’ this thang movin’ with you on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through with good rhymes, once again; let it be known fa dem streetz…! Hearin’ mo shit come outta this with tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ good; not much ta say, tho. Likin’ how tha violin had its quick, few seconds to shine, right as your 3rd verse ended; gotta let tha violin in! My Rating: 3.6

15. “Ride Or Die”
Producer: Dean Alexander
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ beat; feelin’ tha warped sounds in it! Hearin’ what you got goin’ on with tha 1st verse, here & you got some good shit comin’ outta this verse; good attitude, here… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds a lil’ catchy; are you “Shaggy,” lol? Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds pretty nice with how you’re rappin’ on this warped-soundin’ beat…! Keepin’ it goin’ with tha 3rd verse, here & it’s cool; kinda seems like this track coulda had just two verses? Felt like it woulda been more length-efficient or somethin’… My Rating: 4.2

16. “Put It In The Sky”
Producer: Brent Dixon
>>> Sounds like an instantly-catchy beginning, based off of not wastin’ any tyme to rap… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & tha “green like clover” shit’s a lil’ bit of an ear-catcher; good shit with this verse… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good with its warped, weed-like content; good shit! Keepin’ this shit movin’ with tha 2nd verse & it’s good; not much ta say, as you just continuously keep it movin’…! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse, right nah & it sounds good with how you continue with this weed-like anthem fa tha streetz; good goin’… Long final hooks & outro, here; I can see ‘cause you gotta “let that muthafucka burn!” My Rating: 4.1

17. “Feel Me”
Producer: Brent Dixon
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ slower beat, here; feels like somethin’ interestin’ gon come outta tha rhymes, here? Let’s see what you come up with, Decky… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds good fa tha streetz; props fa this Decky quest! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good, as you find a catchy way ta transition from verse to hook, here; good shit… It’s crazy: You ain’t get killed but you had a substance abuse problem or somethin’? Anyway, hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds nice fa tha streetz, once again; you already know what it iz…! Keepin’ this shit goin’ with tha 3rd verse & you already know what da bidness iz, with these streetz; good shit… My Rating: 4.0

18. “Don’t Love Ya”
Producer: Brent Dixon
>>> Sounds a lil’ more like a West Coast-soundin’ production from Brent, this tyme; not bad, includin’ this semi-catchy voice from your hook, here… Keepin’ it goin’ with tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ consistent with tha rhymes; good shit! Keepin’ this shit goin’ with tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ good, of course; can’t deny your rhymes & catchy way of flowin’… Keepin’ this shit goin’ with tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ like anotha good verse; props on this, once again…! Hearin’ tha outro & it sounds kinda long with how it just keeps repeatin’ tha same shit; still, it’s not bad, overall, since tha track wasn’t too long & kept it movin’. My Rating: 3.9

19. “A Beast”
Producer: Full Pack Productions
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ beat & how you comin’ through on this 1st verse, here; props, Decky…! Hearin’ tha hook & it cool; again, gotta respect how you come through with tha different flows with your voice. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds like a good lil’ verse; almost doesn’t sound like you, here, even tho there’s no features listed… Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ like a good continuation, once again. I hear tha “1976,” here; props fa shoutin’ out your birthyear, day & all that. Also, a nice lil’ beat ta end this, as well; glad you continued ta stay focused, especially your producers! My Rating: 4.2

Overall: Great job with this, of course; Decky, you were destined for that undaground success! Can’t believe you’ve been gone almost a whole decade, now! I’m real glad you were able to express as much as you could with this album; your street content, consistency, flows, rhymes, tracks will definitely be remembered!

R.I.P. Video #71: Ed West

Recorded April 26, 2020

Broadcasting from my closet, here in Northeast PA, it's ya boy, FrankieThaLuckyDog here, sadly reportin' anotha tragic loss in tha Louisiana hip-hop community.

Edward James West, Sr., known in tha music business as multiple names, like Edward J. West, Ed, Ed West, Mr. West or Big Ed, passed away from COVID-19 complications on Friday, April 3, 2020; he was only 51 years-old.

West's music career began as a frequent collaborator in tha Louisiana rap business. West was featured on over 20 releases in tha undaground business, keepin' his soul active for tha undaground headz to devour. In May of 1993, West was a Production Coordinator for Hard Head Records, till tha end of 1995. Following up tha label work, in January of 1996, West became tha Vice President for Ruff Era Records, till tha end of 1999. Shifting more to an urban contemporary/gospel sound to kick off tha new millennium, in 2000, West, Dominic Davis & Larry Jones formed Collage III. Shortly after, West became tha owner of Collage III's label, Collage Worldwide Entertainment. In 2001, Collage III released their debut album, Living The Lyrics, on Collage Entertainment. In September of 2006, West became tha owner of Nu-City Construction & in May of 2007, he became tha director of One Vision, One Voice, designing "an innovative program for students to experience the academic discipline, art & business of music, while adding to their repertoire of artistic expression." In 2013, Collage III released another album, Under Construction, courtesy of Collage Worldwide Entertainment. West kept his passion goin' for music until April 3, 2020, when he passed away from Coronavirus complications. If West made it to see July 29th of this year, he woulda turned 52 years-old.

R.I.P. Video #20: Decky Boy

Recorded October 31, 2011

Broadcasting from my car in Northeast PA, it's FrankieThaLuckyDog, unfortunately reporting another loss on Saturday, October 29, 2011; this time, in tha Louisiana rap community. Dexter Platt, known in tha Boot as Decky Boy, or just Decky, was pronounced dead. Currently, tha cause of tha death iz to be determined; he was only 35 years-old. Platt represented both tha 9th Ward in New Orleans and tha South Side of Baton Rouge, LA. His debut album on Keep Movin' Records was 2000's Better Off Dead, which was respected throughout tha whole state of Louisiana. Keepin' his name alive, Platt opened up for big names such as OutKast, Scarface, E-40 & The Click, Lil' Flip, Trillville, B.G., Three 6 Mafia, Devin The Dude, Juvenile, and more. Later on in his career, he teamed up wit Baton Rouge record label, Divided Souls Entertainment, collaborating wit labelmates Rudye, Thicker Den Water, and Ian EFX, as well as Max Minelli, too. Platt died tha same day as Cookie, tha dog responsible for my signature tag, mainly heard in my video intros; they will definitely be missed!

Review #149: Down Bad "The Sickest 2K8"

Reviewed on 11.08.2008 (Review No. 149)

WAT UP!!! This ya boy FrankieThaLuckyDog here and after doin' 2 reviews today, I'm not stoppin'! Right chea I got this new Down Bad CD I finna review called "The Sickest 2K8." BTW, congrats on bein' nominated (I think) last year; that's watz good!! I'm even more anticipated to do this review 'cause I called Way3000 2 dayz ago and he gave me J-Dirty (Down Bad's manager)'s cell phone number. I called him and he called me back at 3:42 AM (2:42 AM where he's at)!! It woke me up and I consider it one of tha best phone call moments eva! Well J-Dirty & Down Bad, here goes my review, tha review for Down Bad "The Sickest 2K8"! Props once again to that boy KJ Armour for hookin' me up wit a download link to tha CD today! Sayin' that, I must say it's been a minute since I did a review where I got tha CD in tha same day (mainly due to lots of college shit and tons of delayed reviews). Also, I'm gonna say this on every review I do for a while: FOR ANYONE READIN' THIS: Go check out my brand new music video, "Change Tha World," featuring Tha Wennipearl (my cousin Jen)!! It's a great song (written and produced by me) and a REAL GREAT music video (directed and 100% edited by me)! | Start Time: 9:40 PM | Video Game Playing: The Legend Of Zelda – Ocarina Of Time (for Nintendo 64) (on my computer)

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2008 CD Review (Review #149) reviewed on 11.08.2008 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. "Can't Stop"
Not only iz this Track No. 1 on here but it was my No. 1 ranked song on Down Bad's "Down Bad: From Da Block 2 Da Club" review I did on May 25, 2008. And in tha words of Way3000, he said that "me ratin' this song as tha top song helped Down Bad look into it more," so I'm REAL HONORED to have my voice be heard… like tha election, ya dig! Anyway, here's what I had to say about this joint: A better sounding intro for this. It has a lil' bounce feel to it; great feel to it as I like tha hook a lot. You know I "can't stop" doin' these reviews! 3rd verse sounded like T.I. on tha flow (like from "Front Back"). To add to this, I like that intro wit tha "I was just bullshittin'." I'm glad y'all are on all tha shit that y'all are sayin' on this! My Current Rating: 4.5

02. "All I Know" Feat. Vicious Of UGK Records
Unexpected collabo here… I wonder what y'all did wit this dude… Lookin' forward (as always)! >>> Hearin' tha hi-hats in tha beginning and they sound nice along wit what's comin' wit tha beat! Hearin' that singin' in tha beginning and I'm likin' it in this case!! Pretty nice 1st verse and hearin' tha "money, power, respect and some good green" in tha hook iz nice, especially wit tha "life" part too. Tha 2nd verse was pretty nice too. Wow, can't go wrong wit that hook as it's HELLA TIGHT!! Wow, REAL NICE start to that 3rd verse wit all those drug related thingz! That's no less Vicious; I knew he was tight! Jammin' joint right chea! My Rating: 4.4

03. "Rollin'" (Jack Da Rippa)
Let's see what we got here… >>> Hearin' that singin' again in tha hook… Of course I'm likin' it but if it happens too much, I might lose interest. It sounds good for this joint and I'm likin' that long-ass intro/hook! Nice lil' shit wit tha "rollin' on dem jiggaz." Pretty nice 1st verse but it's all about tha hook right now! I'm likin' tha "got your prescription" part! Glad tha dude on tha 2nd verse iz "stackin' like a fuckin' skyscraper!" Great shit! Ooh, I'm likin' that beat outro. My Rating: 4.3

04. "Drama N Ma City"
I hope this gives me that "yes, that TIGHT Louisiana shit!!" type of feel!! >>> "Creepin' up" type of beat… Ooh, that lil' piano in tha 2nd part of tha intro sounds nice. Here come tha hi-hats at about :37! It went quickly into tha hook. Tha 1st verse was not bad and tha hook was interesting/great. That 2nd verse was pretty nice and I'm likin' tha hook a whole lot more! Hearin' tha 3rd verse and that dude sounds pretty good wit how he raps! Definitely a nice verse from him. Oh no, it doesn't end wit tha hook; it ended wit a real cold-faded ending when it faded out fast. My Rating: 4.4

05. "Out Da Box" Feat. BluBlack
I feel like I always see this song, lol! It's just that good (must be a Down Bad classic or some shit)! Let's see what I had to say on my most recent review for it: Yeah, I remember that hook and it's nice. Likin' this 1st verse so far. Can't really say much when it comes to Down Bad songs except for tha songs bein' jammin' wit nice rhymes to make tha track sound good. I like tha lil' quiet 2 second break before tha hook comes up. 2nd verse sounds nice so far. I like that "down in B.R. city where they can't stop jiggin'" part. Good shit. To add to this: Iz this a clean version? Why? I had a feelin' when I heard it say "now I'm 'out da box'," instead of "bitch, I'm 'out da box'." Not likin' this clean shit as I might decrease tha rating from tha past… Hearin' Blu Black on tha 3rd verse… I'm guessin' I neva heard this verse before 'cause of me always hearin' this as 3.25 minutes long. His part was okay. Only a 0.2 deduction due to clean… My Current Rating: 4.2

06. "Don't Insult Me" (Terror a.k.a. Cheez)
Let's see how he handles thangz on this joint! >>> Good Louisiana feel in tha beginning of tha beat. Pretty catchy so far and as most Baton Rouge hooks like to sound, that repetitiveness wit tha title on tha 2nd ½ of tha hook sounds nice (as always). Definitely feelin' that 1st verse as it sounded pretty nice. Likin' tha 2nd verse wit that "I'm not a credit card girl, so don't charge me" line; nice 2nd verse! Hearin' tha 3rd verse right now and I'm likin' all those "dawg" parts; damn, I think I heard tha dude say it about 4 times at least; that's watz good. That'll make me boost tha rating by a 10th of a point. My Rating: 4.1

07. "So Whopped" Feat. Young Greg
*Gets excited while lookin' at a pic of Alexia, tha girl I like from my college* Ooh, more of my voice was heard!!!!! I remember when it was always "So Woped" and I corrected it 2 different times. Now, it's finally spelled tha right way: "whopped." Anyway, here's what I had to say about this joint: This joint has pretty much tha same Down Bad formula (nice beat, nice verses, catchy/nice hook) so you know it gets that good rating from me. But yeah, catchy song wit that nice beat and your typical great Baton Rouge song. On tha 3rd verse, since tha dude said "he out his body," this was good that this song made it 'cause "Jigga Juice" had that in tha hook so it fits perfectly. My Current Rating: 4.3

08. "Mo Money"
A new joint fa me… Let's see how good it iz (got anticipation)! >>> Up, it's a short one wit only 2:47 on tha length… Pretty catchy wit those "5's, 10's, 20's…" in tha hook and when it says tha title. Let's hear tha 1st verse… Likin' that "no, I'm not an actor but I be actin', actually" line as well as those popularity parts in tha beginning of tha 1st verse; great 1st verse right chea! Nice start as I'm gettin' into tha 2nd verse wit tha "damn, anotha 20" part. Nice shit right chea. My Rating: 4.0

09. "Jiggin' Nah" (Cage Da Conducta)
Likin' how it's like solo jointz on here (as it's listin' each member's own joint). Because of tha title, I should be REAL interested in it so here goes my anticipation for this joint! >>> Quiet in tha piano wit tha intro… It's kickin' in more towards tha hook as it's your typical Baton Rouge beat! Yes, that typical, Baton Rouge repetitiveness on tha 2nd ½ of tha hook! Likin' that 1st verse right chea on this shit. Pretty nice 2nd verse as well on this. Same rating as Terror a.k.a. Cheez's solo joint on here but this was easily better. My Rating: 4.1
EDIT: I didn't realize this was on tha "DB: FDB2DC" mixtape. Sorry, I guess I -0.1'd my rating from before.

10. Skit
Ooh, a skit right before ½time! This should be exciting for me; let's see watz good! I hope it's either one/all of tha Down Bad members, KJ Armour, J-Dirty or Way3000!! >>> OMG y'all mad… Shit!! What tha fuck happened?!? I'm gettin' scared from that dude that's screamin' at tha end! Unexpected skit but hey, that's an example of what goes on in tha hood so I'm guess it was good to have some of that shit on here! My Rating: N/A

½time: It's 10:29 PM (almost 50 minutes into this shit) and of course, this mixtape (CD or whateva you wanna call it) iz DEFINITELY on some CONSISTANT, TIGHT-ASS SHIT!!! I can't have lower ratings for Down Bad 'cause they just keep havin' that CONSISTANT formula (of tight club beats, different subjects (regardless of tha beats) and just… somethin' that's good Rap music)! Lookin' forward to hear what's left!!!

11. "What Nah" Feat. Tank Jones
Anotha "nah" in tha title (back 2 back on tha jointz) and Tank Jones on it too! Like he said in that "Somethin' In Da Air" joint from him, Beat Flippa, Derty & Nu$$ie, "Tank Jones a beast;" I agree wit that shit! High anticipation on this shit, especially since it's tha whole group (and not a solo)!! Hope it's close to 5 minutes long!! >>> Oh, only 3:48 on tha length. Tha beat iz startin' to kick-in so this should be exciting! Maybe tha "what nah"s are comin' at me too much, especially durin' tha 1st verse. Tha beginning of this was pretty nice; that beat iz on some Down South shit fa'real! Pretty catchy club joint right chea. Yeah, here comes Tank Jones!! Not 1, but 2 jointz on my playlist have him featured! Tha "Somethin' In Da Air" joint iz one and "We V.I.P." from Damage Feat. him & Ice Gen iz tha otha one. He, of course, had tha best part on here. Nice lil' joint right here; FUCKIN' LOVE LOUISIANA MUSIC!!!!!!!!! My Rating: 4.2
EDIT: I didn't realize this was on tha "DB: FDB2DC" mixtape as well. I didn't have much to say before but this iz a lil' better than "Jiggin' Nah".

12. "'80s Baby"
Was gonna say that this looked familiar but this (I think) was tha 3rd time I saw this title. Young Ready had it, someone else had it and now y'all have it. Let's see what goes on here… BTW, I'm an 80's baby too (6.21.1988 I was born on Long Island, New York)! >>> Uh oh, 4:42 on tha length! That typical Down Bad beat iz kickin' in/gettin' better!! Pretty catchy when it says "80's baby." Mr. 23 year old on tha 1st verse (since he was born in "'85" (as he said)). I like that "before I started jiggin'" part; that's cool how it was said (lol @ life before "jiggin'"). I definitely felt tha 1st verse and that beat iz just interesting; likin' this shit right chea! Pretty nice 2nd verse here… LOL @ tha "screamin' 'bingo!'" part; how random. Likin' tha part afta tha 2nd verse wit all those years bein' said! Good shit wit tha "1980, 1981, '82, '83, '84, '85!! 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989!!" part! This iz a GREAT 3rd verse here as we're rememberin' thangz! I rememba playin' "Ninja Turtles" (video game for (I think) Super Nintendo) and it was cool; I think I still have tha game somewhere… I don't have it on my computer though. I like that tha years were repeated afta tha 3rd verse too! My Rating: 4.4

13. "S.U.P.A."
I haven't had any songs rated ova 4.5 yet. Will this joint be "S.U.P.A." enough for that? Let's find out! >>> Underground start wit King Arthur on tha track! Decent start so far but I don't see 4.6+ on tha rating… I like that tha beat iz constantly changin'; wow, that sounds hot around tha :50 mark! I don't know if I can love this joint on a 1st listen… Hook iz just decent and all those "uh huh……"s are kinda too much. Wow, they're even in tha 2nd verse? Not too much into tha lyrics and what's been goin' on wit this joint but it's tha beat that matters tha most on here. If it wasn't for that beat, this wouldn't've survived! My Rating: 3.7

14. Skit 2
Ooh, anotha skit! Will this one be as gangsta as tha otha one? I'm curious, and I have a feelin' it's gonna be a sequel! >>> 1:14 on tha length! Nope, not a sequel but sounds cool so far… LOL @ that dude sayin' "where tha fuck iz yo stash at, nigga?" That dude sounds high/drunk (especially when he says "nigga"). LOL @ repeatin' that part!! I guess that dude that wanted to know tha info was pretty disappointed! My Rating: N/A

15. "Boom Bam"
A new joint fa me again. Let's see if this can be better than "S.U.P.A." and revive back to tha 4.0 ratings! >>> Ooh, long length (4:56 on tha length)! Sounds like a simple club banga but that typical repetitiveness in tha 2nd part of tha hook again! Pretty nice 1st verse and this iz catchy fo tha clubs right here; likin' tha "whatchu talkin' 'bout?" parts in tha hook! On tha 2nd verse, I like all those "lemme show you how" parts. Great repetitiveness in tha 2nd verse wit tha different thangz goin' on! Pretty nice start to tha 3rd verse wit tha "you tha shit 'til tha toilet flush" part. GREAT shit on tha 3rd verse wit tha "macaroni" and tha "powder pack, dawg" lines! Tha 3rd verse definitely was tha best on here. Ooh, there's a 4th verse on here too… Hearin' a "Wipe Me Down" type of patterned symbols in it and tha flowin' sounds nice too. My Rating: 4.1

16. "Female Dog" Feat. J. Hustle
Was just about to type "it's No. 16; what should I expect? Hopefully tha REAL good!," but I just looked at tha title. Anyway, this should be REAL good! J-Dirty no less was tryin' to make me promote this joint but I realized that he had it uploaded on his Youtube already. That's a nice title (as 5th Ward Weebie would say in "Bend It Ova," "she shake it like a dog!!") so high anticipation level on this No. 16 joint right chea!! >>> Yes, anotha long-ass joint wit 4:40 on tha length!! Pretty catchy wit tha "female dog" part, although I expected a faster beat, kinda like a "bounce" feel. LOL @ "let cha masturbate" in tha beginning so fast! Nice 1st verse and feelin' that catchy hook. Nice start to tha SLOOOOW 2nd verse beginning! Likin' that "no batteries, just pure energy" part. Tha 3rd verse was pretty nice to hear. Tha last 32 seconds left… Likin' those whistles in tha beat and tha "afta we smoke a pound" part for tha talkin' at tha end. My Rating: 4.2

17. "Fresh Air" Feat. J. Hustle
Anotha J. Hustle feature. I wonder what this joint gon sound like… >>> Longest joint on here wit 5:26 on tha length! Slow start… That typical Down Bad sound that's great. Likin' tha "I need some 'fresh air'" part in tha 1st ½ of tha hook, talkin' about "too much smoke in here" and then tha "I'm in my 'fresh Airs'" part in tha 2nd ½ of tha hook, talkin' about Airs and "girbauds" (glad you brought them 'bauds up) so that's watz good! Catchy right chea. Oh no, don't say tha "make it rain" shit in tha beginning of tha 2nd verse; I don't like how that became a trend to say outta nowhere. Tha 2nd verse sounded not bad though. Hearin' tha 3rd verse right now and it's pretty good. My Rating: 4.0

18. "Tryna 2 Touch"
That sounds odd to say… "tryna 2?" Lemme hear if this what you really sayin'… >>> OMG 4:40 on tha length again! Sounds like football/David Banner music, lol. Okay hook soo far… Good 1st verse. Likin' tha greetin' in tha very beginning of tha 2nd verse. I like tha "beat it like a drum roll" part. I just heard tha hook clearly in tha beginning of it and tha dude says "I'm tryna touch somethin'" so was that "2" in tha title an error? Pretty nice 3rd verse; this joint iz a jam right chea. My Rating: 3.9

19. "Mind Gone" Feat. Savage
*Continues to look at Alexia, gets a smile, and gets a BIGGER smile seein' what No. 19 iz wit a beatin' heart* OMG BEST SONG ON HERE!!!!! I was sayin' to myself, "wow, what a long-ass year this has been!!" Even though this joint from Late 2007, I started playin' it May 2008. I wish it would've won a *CERTIFIED CLASSIC* award from me… You need 100 spins at least from me to get that award; this joint only got like close to 60 wit me so far. Who knows… Maybe in tha future, it'll add up to 100! I already reviewed it in tha past but I'm in such a good-ass mood to re-review it!! >>> OMG WHAT A REFRESHIN' listen right chea!!! Yeah, LOVE that Savage beat and that so called "24's" type of beat; great idea Savage! Down Bad helpin' out tha hook iz just tight! Great 1st ½ of tha 1st verse from that Down Bad dude and great 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse from anotha Down Bad dude; likin' that "I'm No. 1, y'all No. 2 like pencils" part. TOOOOOOOOOOO CRAZY here!!! I feel blessed to be in contact wit Savage; WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT a ½ decade ago I'd be in contact wit all these people?! Great 1st ½ of tha 2nd verse, especially wit that "Kid Rock" part. Likin' tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse too; OUTSTANDIN' flowin' right chea!! YEAH, Savage on that 3rd verse!! Gotta luv those "picture booth…/that goose…/chubby hoes…" parts! Also, I like that "I'm fulla dat shit" part; just how he said it, it sounded like how Louisiana people say it and I like how they say it. CRAZY JOINT; y'all go retarded on this shit!! My Current Rating: 4.8

20. "Blow Up My Phone" Feat. Jimi Jump & Decky Boy
*Listenin' to Robyn "Konichiwa Bitches" on Music Choice Electronica right now wit a smile* LOVIN' tha combo here! Jimi Jump on this bitch = this shit gon be tight! Too bad this tha last joint! I know y'all gon love tha review! Let's hear how we gon end this shit… >>> Anotha tight beat and anotha tight start. I'm likin' tha "smoke some pot" part in tha beginning. This iz catchy right chea and I'm likin' that 1st verse. Ooh, hearin' tha hook closer and hearin' "don't call my cell unless you'll sell" as a part of it; REAL NICE! Tha beat has a lot of bass in it and it pounds pretty hard on this shit! Great 2nd verse also on this. Yeah, tha 3rd verse was great wit those 2 dudes on it; feelin' this shit right chea. My Rating: 4.3
