Review #2,016: Max Minelli "Diamonds In The Dirt" Documentary

Reviewed on 2.25.2022 (Review #2,016)

Happy 2/25 Day!! Frankie here, finna review my 2,016th review: Max Minelli Diamonds In The Dirt, tha documentary that just dropped! I haven’t reviewed a documentary since November 4, 2012; now, I have a documentary to review, again! This documentary iz about tha Baton Rouge music scene evolving throughout tyme; tha artists are tha “diamonds,” while gettin’ it out tha mud iz tha “dirt.” Tha artists didn’t think they had dreams to accomplish till tha music started takin’ off. I had met Max, Sam I Am, Koo Shot Ya & Greg Dukes all on March 27, 2017, while Koo was filmin’ some scenes at Dukes’ studio. I was filmed, too, but accordin’ to Max, there’ll be more comin’ with a sequel, one day! Fa now, lemme see this Baton Rouge history in tha flesh! I’m watchin’ this via tha Tubi app, since it’s currently only available there… Lemme peep tha trailer out & see what’s up… *Peeps trailer out…* Tha BR bridge & “Baton Rouge” levee spelling’s alwayz a dope sighting! I’m diggin’ how Max Minelli iz directin’ this, with his voice & tha footage ta go with it! Looks great ta see a bunch of tha peeps I know & have showed me luv, in tha past & some till now! Like, can we rewind back tyme to tha history? July 14, 2008, when I did my 100th review 1,916 reviewz ago, Nu$$ie gave me a shout-out on Jimmy The DJ’s Gangsta Gumbo, Vol. 2: Ghetto Pass mixtape! September 15, 2008, when I did my review for Kevin Gates All Or Nuthin’ (The Mixtape), when he had it posted on his MySpace blog. I got some good history! How does it compare to today’s value? I’ono, what y’all think? That Sam I Am shot in tha intro, yeah, that was March 27, 2017, when I called it in my intro that I’m still in!! Lol, I wrote that 1st part of tha intro while I was sober & now, after hittin’ my THC pen, I seen & wrote about that day, only I’m still in tha intro, still, lol! Anywayz, can’t wait ta peep out this big release! I’ono, my perspective on some peeps have changed in value since my recording process, last year. Some could be worth an awesome rating but as a bad withdrawal; we’ll see what we got! Reals? Fakes? We’ll see…! What betta way ta start this review @ Baton Rouge legend, M Dot’s birthday tyme of 7:01! Start Time: 7:01 PM | End Time: 11:01 PM

Disclaimer:
I rate each scene from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care what’s what! As long as it’s cool and good enough for me to like it! I look for style & then tha storyline. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a scene gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already; if at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I see it) so any scene can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I see tha scene; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha scene while I’m watching it. If you act like anything too mainstream for me, there’s auto-tune or lots of talkin’ about money, hoes & stuntin’ 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! I also don’t go for stuntin’ wit tons of money, non-stop…

EDIT: I dunno if there’s different titles for different parts, so I’m basically reviewin’ this blind… I later had all but “History” without a preview, due to I wasn’t sure where each part started.

01. “Intro” (0:00 – 1:17)
>>>

0:00: Shout out ta Leverage Films (Mista Matt in tha inn, lol—building, that iz, lol), as well as what I knew as tha Y$E to tha Young, Self-Employed… Oh, tha Diamonds In The Dirt iz here…! Shout out ta Happy Perez for tha score, as tha bridge crosses below… Also, big-ups to Joe Mex, Koo & Matt fa playin’ big roles fa Max Pain…! Really feelin’ tha anticipation from tha start! I really can’t wait ta see what we got, throughout tha eras! How will I relate tha best to err-thang? We’ll see what it do. Fa now, can’t wait ta see how we gon start this thang off…! My Rating: 5.0

02. “History” (1:17 – 10:00)
How will we continue from here…?! >>>

1:37: I’m definitely feelin’ Max on tha directin’, once again, as tha BR levee proceeds below! Tha city buildings look awesome, too! I feel like I gon be ready fa a surprise, within each scene/set of footage!!

1:43: Tha LSU building literally looks 3D ta me!

1:53: Awesome evening shot with tha drone, with tha darkside of Baton Rouge’s bridge!

1:55: Wow, luvin’ tha instant attention-grabbers! S/O ta Sav, a.k.a. MobbGod! He, as well as us ‘80s babies, grew up in a unique era. Props fa holdin’ it down fa tha streetz…!

2:13: Damn, that 2016 flood was somethin’!

2:32: Tha crime rate in B.R. too bad-azz fa no reason…! Err-body who wanna be gunplay dis, “I hate you” dat should follow my energies, instead! Examples? Embrace an underground, Louisiana scene fa almost 15 years; review over 2,000 releases, overall, fa 16 years; do my own tri-weekly playlists fa 18 years; video-edit fa 20 years; do my own countdowns fa 22 years & film + act fa 23 years! That’s me, all tha way! But, I’m glad I’m accepted by B.R.!

4:31: Jimmy Swag with that eerie, top-selling value; feelin’ eerie when Max talks about tha “unfair investigation.” Also, crazy ending with that murder of February 19, 1986!

8:35: “Missing Kids” by Reality, bein’ B.R.’s 1st track? Crazy! Even havin’ one of tha Reality dudes all dressed for today’s reality!

9:18: “Yeah!!” to Greg Dukes & tha Billboard-chartin’ Reality!

9:54: Lol, same-shot jump-cut with Reality! My Rating: 4.4

03. “Kyper” (10:00 – 13:04)
>>>

11:08: S/O to Kyper! Tha ‘90s in tha buildin’—tha “club,” I should say!

12:21: Gotta luv tha Billboard-chartin’ feelin’, from B.R.!

12:38: Yeah, those are some okay terms; I mainly knew some of that underground shit as electronica, back in my dayz. My Rating: 4.0

04. “MC Nero” (13:04 – 16:50)
>>>

13:10: “…In tha techno-rap world…”; wow, ain’t realize they was ahead of me but I was only two, in 1990. It only took me a decade later to know about tha unique blending. I alwayz find myself pairing tha two genres together (mainly considered “dance” more than “techno” fa my pairing), as if they were collegemates, ya feel me?

13:23: S/O to Nero! Can’t believe it’s been a whole half-decade since he passed…! Long Live Nero! I filmed tha tribute video ta him at tha Jessup Rock Mountain in Jessup, PA; tha site I now use to occasionally test my legs out, after workin’ out durin’ tha week.

13:46: S/O to Shonta; I remember dat pic with tha Girbaud shirt…! All about dem throwback Bauds! Lol @ tha SSJC @ 13:53…! Lol @ tha “headphone” in tha opposite direction technique of rappin’! That’s tha Nero fa ya!

15:07: S/O to “I Gotta Lotta Respect”…! I just feel bad for him; by seein’ him interviewed in this documentary, it sounds like he was sufferin’ from somethin’. Sad ‘cause he had a “lotta respect” from err-body… Y’all musta got lucky & got him interviewed not that long b4 he passed?

15:48: Damn; tha damn diabetes killin’! Sad shit; it’s what Skull Duggrey’s goin’ thru right now! I pray fa him every night; I alwayz utilize my 100.00% confident, positive energies on him so he can pull through his dialysis shits! My Rating: 4.5

05. “Silky Slim” (16:50 – 20:52)
>>>

17:09: Tyme for The Bottom… Here come Silky Slim, all dressed to impress, too… Bottom Posse ownin’ tha B.R. streetz of tha ‘90s!

18:31: Lol @ when he mentions about tha “white guys”; it SSJCs! That combo goes together, imo!

19:26: Luv tha blurry effect; how eerie! Talk about life-changin’, too! My Rating: 4.5

06. “C-Loc, Da Camp & Boosie” (20:52 – 43:05)
>>>

21:08: C-Loc! S/O to Who’s Gonna Ride?! @ 22:30: SSJC, lol, but tha production aspect was dope! S/O to investing! Also, S/O to Young Bleed!

23:35: Yeah, Bleed! “Concentration Camp” iz tha “Camp” ta be! S/O to referencin’ your group, Lay-Lo, Max!

24:18: Tha world of Young Bleed! Loc knew it was a gem @ 24:41; glad they got they shine! Also, lol, Bleed’s eyez lookin’ up all tha tyme’s pretty eerie. It’s a street, eerie feeling that sends a legendary shockwave to tha viewer…!

26:23: Awesome feeling of ’98 ta know that Baton Rouge was on top of tha world, courtesy of Bleed! Tha gold feeling, too!

26:49: I miss them dayz where err-body would make a collective effort like Camp II: Da Halocaust & collab together… Also, shout out ta J-Von’s appearance; not used ta seein’ him on video so it’s great ta see him till this day…!

27:03: Yeah! Nice ta see Max Minelli in tha booth & bein’ interviewed!

28:21: These dark tymes for Da Camp are dark but they’re awesome ta hear, story-wise. Tha “differences” between Loc & Bleed are unfortunate that happened. However, I feel tha same way about one of my ex-idols from Baton Rouge. Like, you can be a top priority one day, then, those expectations don’t meet & you move on!

29:56: Props fa goin’ your own way, Max; that’s what a leader does! Tha Lay-Lo tyme, courtesy of Max, Von & Happy P!

30:04: When narrating Max’s voice transitions into interviewed Max’s voice, tha sound pops. Wanna get rid of tha pop? Just make a cross fade transition at tha beginning of tha video’s audio clip & set tha transition length ta only two frames. It gets rid of tha pop!

33:48: It’s Boosie tyme! Likin’ tha vintage Boosie footage, as well as tha newer Boosie footage…! Also, likin’ tha hidden mirror in tha newer footage, on tha top-right; double Boosieness, lol!

35:19: That awesome street brew from Loc & Camp III: Thug Brothas! Great mixin’ tha interview with tha vibe of tha Camp III: Thug Brothas! Also, Max chimin’ in, at tymes…!

36:03: That throwback beat alwayz makes me feel like it’s tha beginning of my Louisiana connection, again!

36:17: An audio-pop wit Boosie, lol—a young Boosie, that iz! Glad Max appreciates his contributions to tha game, especially at a young, teenage age!

37:12: That studio session wit Boosie, Loc & Max looks like one of those awesome, young nights that tha world felt carefree & easy. Meanwhile, you ain’t realize it would get harder up ahead. That throwback quality & Boosie shmokin’ a blunt back then = an awesome tyme to be alive!

38:35: When that teenage Boosie said, “I love doin’ what I do,” I look at that bein’ me, my 33-year-old perspective, at my current job. When people can’t understand how I come in at 100.00% confident, determined & positive, I just let it be known that my passion iz at max. level!

39:15: Oh boy, Max! “Just like tha last tyme, trouble was around tha corna.” I feel eerily anticipated…! Damn, Loc; ouch, ouch! We all have our sentencing tymes! Can’t believe there’s a snitch on one of our trails throughout our lifetyme!

40:04: “And, a halfway-finished Boosie debut album.” Deep…, so deep… Tha throwback footage of Boosie looks like he hungry, so it blends in nicely with a “Boosie debut album” only bein’ “a halfway-finished” project! Poor Biggy-Biggy-Boos’!

40:29: Luv how Max would help & take over fa Loc, while Loc was in tha pen! That’s tha real dedication! I alwayz show that type of dedication but I almost never get tha same back in return! That’s what makes me a legendary & an ordinary person boring till this day!

42:09: Crazy business transition fa Boosie, when he went from Camp Life Entertainment ta Trill Entertainment, especially while Loc was locked up…! Luv Loc’s dedication to tha game, all these years later! Props fa “shaping up” Baton Rouge & for havin’ so much power! My Rating: 4.9

07. “Beelow” (43:05 – 50:33)
>>>

43:34: It’s Beelow’s tyme to shine! Didn’t recognize him when I seen tha thumbnail on tha Tubi app; now, I recognize! All about them ‘90s dayz…! Also, Ice Gen in them dayz, too!

45:49: S/O to Thug Addict on tha interview, durin’ tha Beelow see-mo tymes, lol…!

46:34: S/O to Z-Man; them 2000’s dayz fa me & early connection dayz…! Luv how he produced & produced, like, acapella on tha interview, transitioning into tha track/video!

47:58: Luv Beelow’s anticipation & tha expectations he wants to bring outta people by bringin’ Max, Loc & Bleed on tha track with him!

48:32: Lol, already up to 2008? Them “Jigga Juice” dayz! Even on Music Choice Rap & all that! Tha world wasn’t ready fa Baton Rouge like I was, back at 19!

48:58: Oh, geez, what now, Beelow? What was your deal…?! Damn! Bad tyming, basically? Scary! My Rating: 4.6

08. “South Coast Coalition” (50:33 – 59:31)
>>>

50:56: What iz goin’ on with this staple in tha head?? Ohhhh…, here come tha South Coast Coalition!

51:44: S/O to Matt & B-Rock, sharin’ their stories…! Neva knew about that South Coast Flavor release from 27 years ago!

53:18: X-Figgy-Figgy-Fyle iz in tha buildin’…! Luv how his career started off early, thanx to that “keyboard” that was gifted to him…!

54:16: Awesome to see tha old equipment! I remember bein’ on a Mac for tha 1st tyme, back in September of 2001! I didn’t know what to expect with a different OS but it started a movement with my media, as tha years went on!

56:09: Life of tha awesome tymes! That’s where tha home videoz start & they started fa me, back on March 12, 1999! Crazy tymes…!

58:11: Oh, geez, here comes tha “brawl” of change…? So, 2007 was tha SCC’s final album & 2007 was also tha year my Louisiana connection started (October 11th). My Rating: 4.3

09. “DJ & Radio” (59:31 – 1:05:45)
>>>

1:00:11: Okay, okay; we’re goin’ to tha radio life…! Also, diggin’ tha naming of tha Baton Rouge people, too!

1:02:25: Nice ta hear about Max 94.1’s start…

1:02:36: J-Tweezy’s pants really blends in with tha color of tha background! Unexpected parallelness? Likin’ tha talkin’ of tha DJs, in reference to tha station… S/O Kool DJ Supa Mike & Bootsie checkin’ in…!

1:05:24: S/O to DJ Scrap & I’m diggin’ tha shoes in tha background! My Rating: 4.1

10. “Max Minelli” (1:05:45 – 1:17:18)
>>>

1:06:05: Interestin’ shit outside tha club; sad that Max was misjudged tha wrong way! Glad Max shinin’, tho!

1:07:17: Yeah, Max; continue bringin’ that leadership, even tho they came with hardshits…!

1:08:53: While seein’ Max name his albums in a chronologic order, I pause to think that there were more albums b4 I’m All I Got: Minelli World (2001) & Minelli World 2 (2002). I’ve had them for nine years & have yet to review ‘em. It’s just, when I asked Max tha names of tha tracks, he ain’t know ‘em. I may have to schedule myself to come to B.R. & have him relisten to ‘em & see, ya feel me?! It sucks that Max deals with “mental health issues.” That’s how I feel with my Asperger’s Syndrome, at tymes; luckily, all tha THC helps benefit my issues!

1:10:12: Lol @ “Badd Nerves” as “Nerves Badd”, Max! That almost reminds me of some shit that ain’t tha same: “Wuzzam, bitch?!” vs. “Bitch, wuzzam?!” Like, tha two sentence examples don’t create tha same tone. With that bein’ said, lol @ Max sayin’ “Nerves Badd” for “Badd Nerves”… Damn @ tha “collapsed lung” shit, too; ouch, Max!

1:11:31: “Find Me A Freak”: Max was tha 5th artist from Baton Rouge I eva heard, on March 23, 2006 @ 9:24 PM, when “Find Me A Freak” premiered on Music Choice Rap! Other B.R. artists I heard b4 Max? Big Head & Mouse, on July 6, 2005 (Webbie’s Savage Life); Webbie, on April 1, 2005 @ 6:07 PM (“Give Me That”) & Boosie, on February 12, 2005 (“Baby Mama”)! Facts!

1:11:42: Oh, The Remedy! I was just thinkin’ at work, as “U Gotta Luv Me Baby” played through my head & I was like, “Damn, that song iz 14 years-old, already! Like, tha age I’m at, now, iz four years older than when Max dropped ‘U Gotta Luv Me Baby’!” Damn @ Koch, tho, tryna snatch your longevity & long-lasting leadership!

1:13:05: Oh, boy, Dead Game!

1:14:31: It sux when you lose some1 real close; I don’t really like speakin’ on tha subject ‘cause I feel like it brings depressed vibes outta people. However, I will say that thankfully, my mom has gotten thru her breast cancer/chemo bullshit & iz on tha way to fully shakin’ back! Tha whole tyme, from December 11, 2020 – now, it’s all about prayers but most importantly, tha determination, consistency & positivity to pull through anything you goin’ thru!

1:15:36: Funny how Mikki Gunz made “Feelings” a year ago, basically, havin’ tha hook based off of Max Minelli’s shit from years & years b4…

1:16:16: Awesome feelin’ ta be with Sway; gotta keep scorin’! Nice outro vibe of Max Minelli’s part, too! My Rating: 4.7

11. “Outro & Credits” (1:17:18 – 1:24:07)
>>>

1:17:21: Looks like it’s ending? A look at tha Rouge? Yeah, J-Tweezy; it’s all about tha amount of history in such a small city! I feel like that with myself, as I generated a lot of history in such tha small house I stay at. Also, shout out to Savage for appearin’ in his own interview, randomly.

1:17:59: How in tha hell all them together in a room like dat? Aren’t we tryna find tha unity? Don’t I have tha power to get err-body together in a room?

1:18:15: Oh, God, tha YoungBoy era! Coming soon to a Diamonds In The Dirt near you!! Everybody, drop what you’re doin’, even if it’s a funeral, smh! It finna be YoungBoy tyme!! Good grief, lol!

1:18:40: I like that: “high energy street music,” via C-Loc. Every night, while I’m at work, or even just in my daily life, I channel err-body from Baton Rouge’s energy into my own! Tha response I get from people iz as if I have unlimited energy, sometimes! Even durin’ this review; I hit my pen & almost thought I wasn’t gonna make it through tha review. However, I didn’t even stop to eat & just had ta finish it ‘cause there’s only 90 minutes left of 225 Day!

1:18:45: Ain’t realize who dat was, at first; S/O to Mouse! Now that I’m finally movin’ around, Mouse & I should finally meet up! Mouse, I know that was your goal four dayz after you turned 30; on October 23, 2014, you tweeted me, “man I appreciate you so much my G! Hopefully one day I get to meet u soon and kick it with you. Much love and appreciation!,” after I wished him a Happy Birthday outta scratch-off lottery tickets. With that bein’ said, can we wish for a BIG event for Mouse & I, one day?!

1:19:11: Yeah! Luv tha 225 Slang 101 w/Max Minelli goin’ on!

1:19:57: BJ…!

1:20:41: Awesome rhymin’, in a narration/spoken-word flow, with tha Diamonds In The Dirt definition!

1:20:56: Luvin’ how tha credits are scrollin’ & B.R. music iz playin’ in tha background! That’s tha way ta do it!

1:22:23: After seein’ all tha artist/titles come up, it makes me think of my credits. I actually list ‘em, too & on anotha screen, I list tha label info of all tha songs.

1:22:46: Interestin’ to see tha whole list of tha Special Thanks! It’s like lookin’ at an old yearbook or somethin’ with these names! Makes me feel a lil’ uncomfortable ‘cause 11 of tha names either had unexpected beef wit me, hit a lick on me or owe me. None of tha 11 came up in this review but for tha next review, there may be some parts I may have to either skip or not leave feedback on.

1:22:49: Luv seein’ my name! People tend to have trouble spellin’ it, tho. “FrankieThaLuckyDog” iz tha real spelling, from November 4, 2002; other spellings I’ve seen were “Frankie The Lucky Dog” (like tha credits), “Frankie Tha Lucky Dog” & “FrankieTheLuckyDog”. In tha end, it’s “FrankieThaLuckyDog” but I recognize tha shout-out!

1:23:02: Nice ta see tha R.I.P. section; I know there’s a few I would add but for now, one that I can think off tha top of my head, Big Fancy! Glad he believed in me, durin’ those younger tymes of mine!

1:24:00: Luv tha Greg Dukes part, again, with tha “trunk” & tha “bmmm-bmmm-bmmm-bmmm!” My Rating: 4.8

Overall: Even tho this ain’t tha whole Diamonds In The Dirt, it still hit 100% home fa me, courtesy of tha B.R. history! Luv all tha artists I grew up to, makin’ me channel they energy into tha dude I am till this day! I thought tha editing was dope; some same-shot parts had jump-cuts & there were a few audio-pops but I give y’all props fa makin’ somethin’ like this! I was excited ta see that I made tha film, in tha credits. I can’t imagine what people had to say about me; I’m lucky I made just about two stacks durin’ my 15-year Louisiana connection. That ain’t enough ta pay shit! I hope I do get recognized more; some people are recognizin’ me but I think I deserve ta have what a legend has: financial & respected success! With that bein’ said, I can’t wait ta see tha next Diamonds In The Dirt & I give major props ta err-body that contributed to this!

Review #1,970: Beelow Presents "Paper Chasin': Ballers & Shot Callers (The Compilation)"

Reviewed on 6.02.2021 (Review #1,970)

As my reviewz continue, just as I’m on a limited amount of tyme to review these, a double-disc release appears! Ahh!! It’s all good, as I accept any challenge in my way! This next review iz anotha Beelow release: Beelow Presents Paper Chasin’: Ballers & Shot Callers (The Compilation), released in 2000 on Ballin’ Music Group! Let’s gooooooooo!
Disc 1: Start Tyme: 10:12 AM | End Tyme: 11:15 AM
Disc 2: Start Tyme: 11:15 AM | End Tyme: 12:22 PM
Overall: Start Tyme: 10:12 AM | End Tyme: 12:22 PM

Disclaimer:
I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

Link To Release: N/A

01. Beelow “Don’t Call Me”
>>> Sounds like Mystikal to kick this off? Pretty aggressive & hype with tha beat & how this 1st verse iz goin’…! Keepin’ this goin’ with tha hook & it’s pretty dope; yeah, Beelow really channelin’ a “Mystikal” vibe, as he says! Tha 2nd verse iz also pretty aggressive; Beelow really in tha zone with this “Mystikal” mind! My Rating: 4.3

02. Venom “Oakside”
>>> Sounds like an okay beat & tha 1st verse iz nice with tha grimy vocals; good goin’… Hearin’ tha hook & it str8 fa this “Oakside” reppin’; nice… Keepin’ this movin’ with tha 2nd verse & “BRC” iz always in tha buildin’ for grimy, street shit; you know! Now, hearin’ a bunch of chantin’ goin’ on, which iz endin’ tha track at tha last minute; gotta keep “representin’”! My Rating: 4.1

03. Z Man “Smoke (Skit)”
>>> Sounds like an ice cream truck or somethin’? Singin’ to tha beat’s catchy; nice lil’ skit fa tha “smoke”! My Rating: N/A

04. Venom feat. Greed “Smoke On”
>>> Luvin’ tha “smoke” beginning; gotta cough it up! Hearin’ tha hi-hats goin’ nuts & they’re pretty insane! Hearin’ tha beat in its entirety & it’s nice ta get a good vibe off of… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds good fa a “smoke” anthem; get it “on”! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds anthemic, just like “Roll On”; no wonder, it’s “Smoke On”, lol. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s dope; “big blunts” iz right! Nice lil’ outro ta go with this, too; gotta get it in! My Rating: 4.4

05. Beelow “Wrong Nigga”
>>> Feelin’ tha aggression, beat & how Beelow comin’ through on tha hook; gotta let it be known, 225’s Mystikal! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & I’m feelin’ tha Mystikal-like aggression; gotta keep it up! No hatin’ in my blood wit a Mystikal vibe! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s pretty grimy; definitely gotta keep tha grime up!! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it’s just as dope! “I go down like a hail storm”; keep hailin’ on ‘em!! My Rating: 4.3

06. Huggie “B” “Chop Chop”
>>> Definitely diggin’ how this Huggie “B” sounds, especially with this hook; “we be chop choppin’!!” You know what it iz!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s pretty dope; gotta keep chokin’ on dat good “weed”! Sounds like a different dude on tha 2nd part of tha 1st verse? They’re spellin’ their name out but don’t have an ID on tha track? Either way, an okay contribution; shoulda just been tha 1st dude, tho. Keepin’ this goin’ with anotha dude on tha 2nd verse, here; where’s tha aggression? Just representin’, here; I really wanted more aggression, tho… Anotha dude, too? Tha 2nd part of tha 2nd verse; ehh…! Tha rest of this a weird mix between random rappin’ & tha aggression; confusin’ but keep on “chop choppin’,” I guess? Obsessed with tha “chop,” toward tha end, lol? My Rating: 3.9

07. Beelow “Big Ballin’”
>>> This sounds familiar; I believe this what was “Ballaholic” on tha Ballaholic release… My Current Rating: 4.2

08. Beelow “Outlaw”
>>> Nice & aggressive, on tha hook; beat dope, too…! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & I’m feelin’ tha rapid rappin’; gotta keep it mov…in’! Keepin’ it movin’ with tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit hyped-up rhymes; good shit…! Keepin’ this shit goin’ with tha 3rd verse & Beelow got tha Mystikalness in him, again; gotta let tha aggression out! My Rating: 4.4

09. Young Ballerz “Armageddon”
Spelled as “Young Ballers” in my previous observations of these ballerz… >>> Sounds like a calmer but more street-soundin’ beat with these G-Funk sounds… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s calmer rappin’ but it’s still good for tha streetz, basically. Hearin’ tha hook & it’s aight; just sounds like a good lil’ “Mall City” representation, basically? Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds okay with these rhymes; that scream about runnin’? That “ahhhhhh” was a lil’ cheesy, lol. Also, nice reference with “Deborah Cox,” too; glad she owned tha tymes back then! Keepin’ this movin’ with tha 3rd verse & it’s more of these Mall City boyz comin’ through tha hood; sounds good/str8… My Rating: 3.8

¼tyme: Seems like a good lil’ compilation; hope err-body keeps it movin’! Currently, a 4.2-rated compilation; keep tha aggression & hot beats comin’ fa tha 225!

10. Ballin’ Family “Let’s Ride”
>>> Sounds like a dope beat & hook; definitely focused with tha energy, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & I’m really feelin’ this southern voice! Grimy street shit at its finest; can’t deny tha voice! Damn, I just realized this iz 7:31; oh boy, can I stay interested? Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s cool with tha alternatin’ voices of tha fam; gotta keep tha grimy vibes comin’…! Tha 2nd part of tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, with all tha spellin’ & shit; gotta keep it goin’! Rapid-rappin’, too; lots ta devour!! I’m not even ½way through tha track & I’m startin’ ta get confused at where I’m at… Everything I’m hearin’ iz pretty nice with tha rappin’ & flows; I just don’t like how there’s no transition goin’ on. Like, no more hook? Finally, a hook again at 5:58—5:58, tho?! Sounds like it’s leadin’ more into a long outro; still got 1:13 left! Luv tha continuous hype, tho, as tha 7:00 mark approaches! My Rating: 4.0

11. Beelow feat. Ice Gen & Redd Dawg “Shake Dem Titties”
>>> Nice “titties” anthem, just off tha 1st few seconds, here; luvin’ tha energy on tha hook!! Also, tha beat’s pretty poppin’ fa tha clubz; gotta luv it! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Beelow & it’s dope; keep tha energy up! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s pretty hype; let them “nipples” take tha vibe over, lol! A total tittied-out anthem, here; “titties”, stand tha fuck up, lol! Got tha 3rd verse goin’ on, here & it’s like a regular voice comin’ through; not bad—at least tha “titties” are bein’ represented, still, lol. My Rating: 4.6

12. Smoke Dogg feat. C Sick “Act Fool”
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ hype track; not bad with what’s comin’ outta tha 1st verse, here… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds like anotha good anthem; gotta “Act A Fool”! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s a regular-soundin’ verse; I guess it’s okay to just progress… Sounds like a bunch of energy bein’ applied on tha 3rd verse, here; good shit… Also, a long beat outro, too, even fa only 3:46 on tha length. My Rating: 3.8

13. Beelow “Niggas Jockin’ Me”
>>> Sounds like a chick? I’ono what to think of this 1st verse, except that tha beat ain’t bad, too… I’ono, not much interest from me, especially since it sounds 0.00% like Beelow! Not much interest in tha rest of this shit; gimme Beelow! My Rating: 2.6

14. Topp Mobb “Throw ‘Em Up”
>>> Sounds like an okay track; tha hook str8 & beat nice fa tha Rouge… Keepin’ this peer-jackin’ track comin’, here comes tha 1st verse & it ain’t bad; prolly gon feel this gutta voice a lil’ betta as tha track progresses… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it ain’t bad; not much of a growth with tha voice fa me, this tyme… Keepin’ it movin’ with tha 3rd verse & tha voice iz back to bein’ in growth mode fa me, here…; good shit, overall. My Rating: 3.7

15. Ballin’ Family “South Side Fellas”
>>> Definitely diggin’ that Art Of Noise beat sample in tha beat, here; definitely nice! Tha hook’s pretty nice; sounds like tha Baton Rouge version of Master P? Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s cool; gotta dig tha aggressive vocals! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s pretty hype; gotta dig tha consistency & aggression! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & tha hype continues; seems a lil’ long but I’m glad tha energy ain’t dyin’…! A 4th verse, here, soundin’ like a deeper dude & tha flow bein’ slower/more laidback; still sounds good, tho. Nice acapella part of tha hook at tha end, as well; dumb! My Rating: 4.1

16. Thug Addict “Everybody Know Me”
Will it really be Beelow this tyme? >>> Good! Wait, what’s bein’ spelt? Can’t make it out but it’s catchy… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s pretty hype ova this crunk-soundin’ beat; gotta luv it! Mystikal, your friend’s here! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & tha Beelow hype continues; Beelow wants it all! Oh wait, “I’m Thug Addict,” huh? No wonder why I couldn’t figure out tha spellin’ of tha hook but now, it makes sense! “Tha T-to-tha-H-U-G-A-Double D-I-C-T!” Dumb shit!! Glad I figured out that this was Thug Addict tha whole tyme; great job reppin’ tha whole track! My Rating: 4.5

17. Beelow “Hard Times”
>>> Sounds good; hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s a rough day in tha hood wit Beelow, here… Hearin’ tha hook & it’s a lil’ sappy fa me with tha male singin’; I’ono but it’s a lil’ soft fa me. I’m not fuckin’ with tha depressin’ shit; we can rise above that feelin’! Keepin’ this movin’ with tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear; gotta keep reppin’ tha streetz…! As far as tha rest of this, it sounds like it jumps back into tha depressed feelin’; I’ono about all tha singin’ & long beat outro… My Rating: 3.4

18. Beelow feat. Skull Duggrey “Baton Rouge 2 N.O.”
My Current Rating: 4.6

½tyme: Most of tha 1st disc sounded pretty nice; too bad some of tha Beelow-labeled tracks weren’t him. Either way, keep tha energy & aggression up!

Next disc…!

01. 2-Faced “Vengence”
>>> Luv tha aggression! Gotta represent with tha hook & 1st verse; luv tha energy!! Luv tha “on my mind iz ‘uh-oh!’”; catchy! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s pretty dope, as this track continues; hood content & energy always make a good combination! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & this track just keeps tha catchiness goin’; good shit! My Rating: 4.2

02. Deadly Soldiers “4 Triple O”
>>> Sounds like quieter energy bein’ applied, here? Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it str8; sounds like it can be louder? Hearin’ tha hook & it aight; not much ta really say, here… Continuin’ on with tha 2nd verse & it’s pretty nice with tha rhymes; gotta keep reppin’ tha streetz, ya feel me? Hearin’ tha 3rd verse on this track & it aight; sounds like some dude on tha 2nd part of it wants ta add a catchier flow? Not bad, overall… My Rating: 3.8

03. Huggie “B” “Money Can’t Change”
>>> Compared to tha other Huggie track, this sounds real sappy on tha hook; can’t fuck wit tha “money” content & singin’… Hearin’ a chick on tha 1st verse & I’ono if I’ll feel it even more than I wanted to… Tha rest of this don’t need no feedback from me; boring & long… My Rating: 1.4

04. Chill “Paper Chasin’”
>>> Finally, a betta sound! Back to some hyped-up street shit; at least this money topic has energy & hype in it! Good beat & hook, here; keep it up! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & Chill pretty hype; gotta dig what he bringin’, here! Keepin’ this goin’ with tha 2nd verse & it’s pretty nice; gotta keep bringin’ tha heat! My Rating: 4.1

05. Deadly Soldiers “Battle Field”
Shouldn’t tha title be a compound word? >>> Feelin’ tha street content & tha beat, here; gotta let it be known about tha “field” & tha hook! Tha 1st verse’s pretty nice; keep reppin’, y’all! Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ good ta hear; keep droppin’ tha heat…! My Rating: 4.3

06. Dirty Dave “Tha Drought”
>>> Instant start with an okay hook (or, 1st verse?); beat ain’t bad, neither. Okay, it’s tha 1st verse; not bad with this voice, as it’s an okay track. Now, I hear tha hook b4 tha 1:00 mark & it sounds okay; transition weak? Seems like it just blended into tha next verse? Sounds okay but I’m not too-too crazy ‘bout this track, overall. Tha rest of this just bores me; barely any quality transitions from verses to hooks goin’ on… My Rating: 2.5

07. 2-Faced feat. Emperor Nero “Swamp Cowboy”
>>> Sounds like a cool lil’ track; I digz this “swamp” feelin’ & this hook! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & I’m really feelin’ tha energy in tha voice; definitely what’s up! Keepin’ this goin’ with tha 2nd verse & it’s dope; luv tha energy in tha beat & aggressive rhymes/content! Now, with 1:00 left, iz it just tha beat? Lol, damn; long beat outro, basically… My Rating: 4.4

08. Cash “4 Tha Streets”
>>> Sounds like an okay joint; tha beat ain’t bad & tha rappin’ on tha 1st verse aight/consistent… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds like a different dude? Either way, tha aggression & hype iz still here; keep it movin’! Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ good ta hear… Seemed like I really enjoyed this track but for tha most part, it’s on tha lower scale of tha 4.0’s; last minute sounds long… My Rating: 4.0

09. Beelow “Too Late”
>>> Not really feelin’ tha singin’ start fa a track labeled as Beelow’s… Hearin’ tha hook & it’s too dry fa me with this R&B singin’… Like, do I have to sit here fa a whole 5:17?? Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s a mysterious chick, again; boring with this struggle content… Tha rest of this shit seems soooooooooo longggggggg… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s a male rappin’; feelin’ tha southern style but I already had gotten too bored… My Rating: 1.2

¾tyme: Nowhere near as good as tha 1st disc, so far; why tha mysterious R&B vibes makin’ way in here? Not feelin’ some of it but some jointz are good, at least… For Disc 2, only a 3.3 for tha average rating, so far; Beelow…!

10. Savage “Desperado”
Wonder which Savage this iz… >>> This ain’t tha Chris LeDay I know…; this random Savage sounds like a member of some group or somethin’? Decent 1st verse & tha hook aight; nothin’ too special, here… I don’t think I need to give feedback on tha rest of this; since it’s decent, it’s basically decent. My Rating: 2.9

11. Beelow feat. Young Bleed “Thuggin’ N Da South”
Can we resurrect this release into some quality?!? >>> Good beginning part of tha intro from Young Bleed but then, from tha beginning till 0:30, it sounds like a bunch of random blah-blah… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Bleed & he sounds dope with his 225’d street content; gotta get it in…! “Piss on your parade” iz right, Bleed! Hearin’ tha hook & even tho it’s about “Thuggin’ N Da South”, this male & female singin’ on tha hook makes it sound depressin’; not really fuckin’ wit it… Keepin’ this goin’ with Beelow on tha 2nd verse & it cool with tha southern content; I have a feelin’ it gon get borin’, tho (4:58 on tha length)… A random female rappin’ on tha 3rd verse, here? I’ono about all these unexpected surprises; they keep throwin’ me off… Nothin’ much ta say about her; she sounds okay for this southern representation… My Rating: 3.2

12. Huggie “B” “Ride 2 Night”
>>> Nice hyped-up feelin’ on tha beat & hook, here; how will this turn out? Tha previous Huggie joint sucked, so we’ll see this mysterious turnaround… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & tha voice ain’t really catchy; just seems like rhymes, basically. Keepin’ this movin’ with tha 2nd verse & it ain’t bad but nothin’ to really brag about… A 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit rhymes, basically; what else can I say? My Rating: 3.0

13. Beelow feat. 69 Boyz & JT Money “How We Roll”
>>> Sounds like an upbeat, 504-like vibe, here…; hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s str8… Hearin’ tha hook & it ain’t bad, here; just feels like a bunch of these jointz are too long… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & tha southern flava ain’t bad; keep on reppin’ iz all I got ta say. Keepin’ this goin’ with tha 3rd verse & it’s nice ta collab wit non-Louisianimal, JT Money; nice flow & vibe to progress… My Rating: 3.7

14. C-Murder “Big Mouth (Skit)”
>>> C-Murder? Doesn’t sound like him on this skit… I luv how they say, “They ain’t got no ghetto pass.” In response to that, I’m so glad I have a “ghetto pass” to B.R., ya heard me? I can go anywhere in B.R. & I’m good! As far as this skit, it’s a lil’ long (2:11) & it definitely don’t sound like no C-Murder. My Rating: N/A

15. E.M.C. “Jerry Springer”
>>> I’m expectin’ a bounce song? Not exactly bounce but tha noise in tha beat pretty intense; was this mastered right? Tha noise part sounds like tha “Triggaman” but noisy… Sounds like an okay track with tha 1st verse but this intense noise gotta go or be mastered properly! Sounds like a random hook & what’s goin’ on, here; what can I say about it? Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it aight; doesn’t seem to fit in tha Baton Rouge environment of this double-disc release, tho… Of course, a 3rd verse on this track, as I yawn my way through tha noisy track, here; I’ono… My Rating: 2.0

16. Phunk Dawg “Twerk Baby”
Way b4 tha “Ay Bay Bay”! >>> Damn, where’s tha energy?! Why this sound like a slow, G-Funk anthem fa tha ladies? I’ono… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s such a slow track fa tha ladies; why slow? Ugh! An uncredited, male-vocal singer on tha hook? So dry & boring!! Sounds like a desperate 2nd verse with some of tha singin’… Wait, there’s rappin’ on tha 2nd verse, too? What an unusual blend fa this slow track! Damn, of course, a 3rd verse! No wonder why Phunk Dawg focused more on producin’? This R&B’d rap ain’t fa him, thank God! Why tha hell did that “monkey” part sound off-beat at 3:43? Ugh…! My Rating: 1.6

17. II Tight “Let Her Go”
Also spelled “2 Tight”. >>> Good energy in tha beat but nothin’ too-too special fa me… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it aight; not too crazy about this voice, tho… Hearin’ tha hook & it aight; can’t really say much about it, tho. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds aight with this fast rappin’ & beat; I think most of my interest dried up with this release, tho. Mo shit comin’, here, with tha 3rd verse; just anotha way ta get through tha energetic beat, basically… My Rating: 3.6

18. 2-Faced “Same Time”
>>> Sounds like anotha hyped-up beat; pretty nice, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it ain’t bad; I can dig it, for tha most part… I don’t get how one rapper iz on tha ID but there’s multiple rappers on tha track… Like, why? Tha rest of this seems random; I think I had enough, tho it ain’t bad…! My Rating: 3.1

Overall: God, tha 2nd disc dragged & was rough ta get through! Too many vibes didn’t match up to tha hype of Beelow or tha 1st disc! Now, lemme get on to tha rest of my schedule…!
