Review #1,969: Beelow "Ballaholic"

Reviewed on 6.02.2021 (Review #1,969)

Tried to get up a lil’ earlier but it wasn’t happenin’; smh @ my energy. I just need ta get a full-tyme job so I can get back to tha energy I was used to. Fa now, tho, I gon just jump back into tha reviewz till I get ta 2,000: Beelow Ballaholic, released in 2000 on Private I Records, Ballin’ Music Group & Universal Records! Start Tyme: 5:12 AM | End Tyme: 6:36 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

Link To Release: N/A

01. Intro
Producer: Zuriel Moncriffe
>>> Nice short beat ta kick thangz off…! My Rating: N/A

02. “Watch Dem Haters”
Producer: Zuriel Moncriffe
>>> Beat sounds dope & tha hook’s pretty hype; definitely feelin’ your energy…! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s pretty dope; “from yo head to yo asshole!” Deep, deep, deep! Got tha 2nd verse comin’ through quickly & it’s pretty dope; you depictin’ tha hood scenes with energy, on this track! Keepin’ it movin’ with tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit a grimy-ass voice; “99” to tha bone! Delivery aggressive & true to tha bone, as well! Damn, this track’s 5:22? Seemed like I was satisfied with what I heard, already, but it’s still aggressive, at least. Are there uncredited peeps on this track? Sounds like somebody different on tha last verse, here… This last verse a lot less aggressive but just sounds like they were randomly inserted into tha track as a collab…? My Rating: 4.3

03. “10 Niggaz” feat. Thug Addict
Producer: Zuriel Moncriffe
>>> Luv tha aggressive start & beat!! However, 5:23 on tha length? Literally, one second longer than tha last joint’s long length… Let’s see how this goes, at least; hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s consistently aggressive; good shit! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s pretty rough on tha mic; props fa tha aggression! Your aggression iz as if you were tha Baton Rouge Mystikal; keep it up! Anotha unlisted feature on tha 3rd verse, here? I don’t get tha uncreditin’…; sounds good but throws off my view of tha track, due to how aggressive & consistent it originally was… Okay, I at least heard “Thug Addict,” before tha 4th verse kicked in… Hearin’ tha 4th verse & it’s cool for tha streetz; I feel tha Louisiana/Rougetastic collab, here…! A 5th verse, here? Crazy that there’s so much but it’s cool; feelin’ tha aggression, still! My Rating: 4.4

04. “Hoodlum & Ballers” feat. Skull Duggrey
Producer: Ice Gen
>>> So glad ta hear my boy, Skull, on tha track; luv choppin’ it up wit him & holdin’ him down! Beat’s on-n-poppin’, as well as tha full-on street content he brings on tha 1st verse, here; you know what it iz! Luv how tha both of y’all collab on tha hook, here; hoodlumz vs. ballerz! Keepin’ it movin’ wit you on tha 2nd verse—normal length, this tyme (3:10)—and you pretty consistent wit what you bringin’; can’t deny it! Definitely diggin’ how tha both of y’all comin’ through wit it, on tha 3rd verse; y’all can’t be stopped!! My Rating: 4.8

05. “My Niggaz”
Producer: Redd Dawg
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ hook & beat, here; feelin’ how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse, aggressively…! Damn, anotha uncredited feature on tha 2nd verse? Not too sure who it iz but they have a dark voice ta hold this street shit down; good shit…! Sounds like anotha dude on tha 2nd verse, here; how many more mysteries? Good shit, tho; I’ll give it that for what you bring on your release, Beelow. Keepin’ this thang goin’ with tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice; definitely what’s up, here… A different dude on tha 3rd verse, here? Sounds good, at least… My Rating: 4.1

06. “Too Late”
Producer: Sam Lynch
>>> Not likin’ that fade-in; yuck! Transitioned right into some R&B-type shit; at least it’s only 100 seconds! Hearin’ tha verse & it cool with what you bringin’, here; at least it’s on some street shit. My Rating: 3.5

07. “Wooday” feat. 69 Boyz
Producer: Ice Gen
Collaboratin’ with tha “Tootsie Roll” dudes? >>> Hearin’ tha hook & it’s cool with this beat; definitely diggin’ tha “Wooday” topic. Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse & it cool wit how you comin’ through wit it; keep reppin’! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, here & it ain’t bad wit how these boyz hold you down on tha track… Keepin’ it movin’ with tha 3rd verse & it cool with this southern shit; gotta feel it. My Rating: 4.4

08. “Ballaholic”
Producer: Zuriel Moncriffe
>>> Cool lil’ beat start; definitely feelin’ tha catchiness! Hearin’ tha hook & it cool with tha singin’; definitely luvin’ tha 2000 Baton Rouge style! Later on, this sound resurrected in 2007 with that Beat Flippa & Tha Camp shit; gotta embrace it! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s cool; a calmer delivery than usual but it’s still nice ta hear… Keepin’ it movin’ with tha 2nd verse & I always think some1 else spittin’; however, it’s tha one with tha title track: You! Damn, why iz this 5:33? Seems like it’s gonna take fa’eva ta go to tha next joint; js! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it aight; sounds like shit’s easy round yo way? Keepin’ this thang movin’ with a 4th verse, here, soundin’ laidback fa your usual aggressiveness… Seems like a beat outro’s comin’ my way, as it’s over a minute long? Cool to have but not necessary when tha Skull Duggrey track wasn’t even long. My Rating: 4.2

09. “Da Heist”
Producer: Zuriel Moncriffe
>>> Beat sounds nice, as well as how you come through on tha 1st verse; definitely gutta, as alwayz! Tha hook sounds more like some samples of some news stories & hood stories? Kinda blah but whateva, lemme move on to tha 2nd verse… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds like you’re goin’ through a rough situation in tha hood; run, run, run! My Rating: 3.7

10. “Big Body (Remix)” feat. Juvenile
Producer: Zuriel Moncriffe
>>> Sounds like a serious beat fa tha hood, here; definitely feelin’ tha energy! Also, how you comin’ through on tha hook’s pretty dope; luvin’ tha voice! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & you really holdin’ it down like no otha in tha Rouge, durin’ this 2000 year! Hearin’ tha hook & this “Big Body” you ridin’ in pretty dope; glad you represent it in a nice way! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s a much-more grimy, faster flow; definitely dope with what’s bein’ delivered, here! Keepin’ it movin’ with Juvie on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit some okay shit; just sounds nice with tha familiar-soundin’ beat sounds. Keepin’ it movin’ with tha 4th verse from you & tha aggressive flow’s back! Juvie shoulda took notes from you; he needed tha aggression! Likin’ how you had a bunch of “bruh” parts toward tha 2/3 of tha verse; good shit…! Also, a lil’ outro part, here; keep holdin’ it down fa tha “big bodies”! My Rating: 4.3

½tyme: A 4.2-rated release, so far; seems like you got this shit on lock! Gotta keep holdin’ that energy, aggression & rap shit down! Luvin’ your collaborations; keep on shinin’ on ‘em! I finna be right back; I gotta go beat my shit… *Goes to beat shit at 5:50 AM…* *Returns at 5:59 AM…* Okay, now that I feel better, it’s tyme to continue!

11. “How Many Dollars” feat. Ms. Peaches
Producer: Ice Gen
>>> Pretty energetic on tha hook & beat, here; gotta feel it! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from tha both of y’all & y’all really handlin’ this well! Like, Peaches’ aggression iz awesome on this track! Glad she channeled tha energy from you! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s pretty nice, as you continue this shit; gots to feel it! Oh wait, Peaches iz here, on tha 3rd verse? I’m slightly confused but at least tha 1st verse was aggression, altogether! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it’s just some female rappin’ bein’ applied, basically; nothin’ terrible but nothin’ like tha 1st verse, neither. Most of this seemed good to be true but I got slightly bored, as a whole 4:55 had to go by… My Rating: 4.0

12. “Watch Yo Ass” feat. Skull Duggrey
Producer: Jamie J.D. Dennis
>>> So glad ta hear Skull, again!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & he bringin’ 100% pure street shit ova this beat; props fa producin’, J.D.! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s pretty dope wit how y’all come through wit it; soulja shit at its finest! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from you & it cool wit how you come through wit it; can’t deny tha Rouge! Got some aggressive rhymes & delivery goin’ on throughout tha 3rd verse, here; gotta luv it! Raise dat “soulja rag” nice & high!! Also, a nice 4th verse, here, strictly deliverin’ business for tha clubz & streetz! Gotta luv how tha beat sounds toward tha end; tha less sounds, tha more authentic fa other sounds…! My Rating: 4.7

13. “I Wish U Would”
Producer: Zuriel Moncriffe
>>> Anotha street anthem that would sound good in tha clubz, durin’ 2000; great job! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s dope; luv tha aggression! Glad you’re not ta be fucked with! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s cool wit what you bring to tha table; gotta keep it movin’! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds good with what you bring; can’t deny you in tha streetz…! Tha rest of this iz a mix between takin’ a while to progress & continuously deliverin’ good shit; I’ono but I pick both sides. My Rating: 4.2

14. “Actin’ Badd II”
Producer: Zuriel Moncriffe
A shorter track, again? Surprise…? >>> Sounds like a good beat & hook, here; gotta keep bein’ “badd,” basically? Hearin’ tha verse & you come through with your good set of rhymes fa this beat, of course; gotta keep it movin’…! My Rating: 4.1

15. “Big Mouth” feat. C-Murder
Producer: Jamie J.D. Dennis
>>> Dope aggression on tha hook, here; beat pretty dope for tha streetz, too…! Got Big C on tha 1st verse, here, comin’ through wit that streettastic street shit; gotta luv tha 504-to-225 connection! Keepin’ this shit movin’ with tha 2nd verse from you, here, comin’ through wit how you handle them lames; gotta middle-finger ‘em! Luv how you’re so grimy & don’t show a sign of slowin’ down! Keepin’ this shit movin’ with tha 3rd verse & this shit’s definitely on-n-poppin’; can’t deny it, as tha track continues…! My Rating: 4.4

16. I’m A Baller
Producer: Sam Lynch
>>> Thought this was gon be a track but it sounds like tha street life of sellin’ “dope” gettin’ rough? My Rating: N/A

17. “On Da Grind (Like A Man Bra)” feat. Juvenile
Producer: Sam Lynch
>>> Sounds like a dope beat & hook, here; props fa tha both of y’all holdin’ tha hook down! Pure-soundin’ street content fa tha undaground earz, with a mainstream touch; gotta luv it! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you & it’s pretty nice; gotta keep reppin’ fa tha Rouge at all tymes! Luvin’ how you embracin’ tha word “bra” (“bruh”), on this track; dope! Now, will it keep my interest fa 5:40? Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from you & it’s cool wit what you bringin’, here; less-aggressive verse but still nice ta contribute. Keepin’ it movin’ with tha 3rd verse from you & it sounds like you’re applyin’ a lot of tha 2nd part of tha title toward tha end of each line; nice… Seems like after tha 3rd verse, it’s a quadruple hook; can’t get away from it!! My Rating: 4.5

18. “Slow Yo Roll” feat. C-Loc & Young Bleed
Producer: Zuriel Moncriffe
>>> Kickin’ it off wit C-Loc on tha intro & 1st verse, here, comin’ through wit good shit; beat on-n-poppin’, too…! Keepin’ it movin’ with tha 2nd part of tha 1st verse with you, comin’ through wit some good shit fa tha streetz…! Hearin’ tha hook from Bleed & Loc, now & it’s dope; gotta “slow” tha opps’ “roll”! Keepin’ it movin’ with tha 2nd verse from you, tryna see if “coke” iz your 2nd route? Hope it ain’t go that way; that’s tha real opp! Frfr! My Rating: 4.5

19. “From Baton Rouge To New Orleans” feat. Skull Duggrey
Producer: DJ Tron
>>> Likin’ tha intro from Skull callin’ you, here; you can tell Skull real ‘cause he actually calls me, too! That’s how you know Skull 100% real! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Skull & it’s dope; feelin’ how he comin’ through wit his aggression on this slower beat…! Luv how outta nowhere, on Skull’s verse, a phone call comes outta nowhere; interestin’. Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds like it can be some slow-soundin’ grimy shit; definitely for tha grimy & eerie luvaz! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from you, here & it’s cool with how you come through on this slow beat; I digz it. My Rating: 4.6

20. “All I Hear (Murderer)” feat. Crooked Lettaz, E.M.C. & Skull Duggrey
Producer: Zuriel Moncriffe
>>> Sounds like a crazy hook with that “murderer!” part; also, tha beat on point, too! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s pretty gutta; gotta represent! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & we’re at Skull Dugg, again; definitely nice! Glad ta hear him on two jointz, back to back! Props fa keepin’ tha aggression up, Skull; you know what it iz!! Got tha 3rd verse goin’ on, here & shit’s pretty nice; props fa tha full-on collab, here…! Keepin’ this thang goin’ with tha 4th verse, here, comin’ through wit mo energy to embrace; gotta feel it to tha max! Seems like there’s so much to dissect on this track, overall; lots of collabz & verses… I ain’t hatin’ but am just sayin’ how a bunch of these tracks take a while to complete. My Rating: 4.3

Overall: Thought this was a dope release, Beelow! You got buku energy & a good ear fa beats; no wonder why you have a stellar rap career! Props on your collabz, too; err-body flowed pretty nicely on tha tracks, for tha most part! Keep that energy up!
