01. “21 Thugs 2000”
Producer: Sinista
A total of 7:39 on tha length for tha 1st track? This gon be a long, 15-track review! >>> Nice airplane noise ta start it off; I feel y’all with tha “clog” in tha ears… Nice lil’ intro bein’ 1:53 long; now, tyme fa tha track… Sounds like a combination of some New York-type hype, here; good lil’ dose of energy… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds like a bad view of intoxication? Gotta be happy & confident while fulla whateva! Either way, tha rhymes str8; I feel tha “dirty game like quicksand” line, as when you first “get in,” there’s “no way out”; locked in tha “game”! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it has, like, a Skull Duggrey-type of voice/energetic vibe to it; good street shit, ya dig? A long lil’ outro, too; I luv how this track iz 459 seconds long & there’s only two verses! That’s an average of 229 ½ seconds (3:49.50) for each verse, lol! My Rating: 3.6

02. “Fearless”
Producer: Sinista
Previously reviewed it on 54th Platoon’s previous release, from 1999. My Current Rating: 4.1

03. “Feelin’ It”
Producer: Sinista
>>> Anotha long track… Hearin’ tha hook & it’s pretty nice with this upbeat street, 2000’s-soundin’ beat; gotta get “high”! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s pretty nice with tha rhymes; gotta lay it down fa tha 5-0-4, of course! Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 2nd verse, here & it sounds good… Basically, it’s that hood shit with an upbeat beat; that’s tha best way I can put it. I’m likin’ how tha dude on tha 2nd part of tha 2nd verse comes through wit it; that southern grind at its finest…! No 3rd verse…? Sounds like a bunch of chantin’ with tha hook… Okay, it was just a long, extended hook but now, tha 3rd verse iz here… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it’s str8; now, it’s startin’ ta seem like a long, non-Louisiana track, based off how this blends more in with tha New York-soundin’ vibes. That’s how I put it fa tha 1st track on here & now, this slowly brings that same vibe, especially with how long this turns out ta be… My Rating: 3.7

04. “Get Some”
Producer: Sinista
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ vibe of party energy, here; good lil’ simple hook fa tha hood parties… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s all about tha “54”—that’s “5 + 4” to equal tha 9th Ward, ya heard me? Good reppin’, here; keep it up, y’all + Sinista! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s pretty nice, with this decent-soundin’ voice; can’t complain with tha 2000 game! Tha rest of this shit str8; just an energetic way ta keep it movin’… My Rating: 3.9

05. “If You Wit Me”
Producer: Sinista
>>> Anotha track that sounds cool with its energy; good hook & beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds good with these rhymes; gotta hold tha streetz down…! Tha 2nd part of tha 1st verse sounds good ta hear, too; likin’ this voice slightly better, as we keep it goin’… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s str8; nothin’ much ta say but to continue holdin’ it down… Tha 2nd part of tha 2nd verse cool, too; gotta keep vibin’ “wit” y’allMy Rating: 3.5

06. “Downtown 2 Yotown”
Producer: Sinista
>>> Likin’ this party vibe with Sinista’s beat, here; diggin’ those synth keyz! Tha hook’s pretty nice; gotta travel from tha D-Town to tha Y-Town—“Yotown,” that iz! Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ good wit how y’all reppin’ tha hood-to-hood travels, here…; also, tha 2nd part of tha 1st verse’s cool, as y’all continue to strictly represent…! Hearin’ tha 3rd part & it’s soundin’ good with these continuous rhymes; keep ‘em comin’… Tha rest of this ain’t bad but it seems kinda long, especially tha long outro… My Rating: 3.7

07. “Allday, Everyday”
Producer: Don Juan
>>> A slower vibe but with some cool beat sounds, here on tha beat… Hearin’ tha hook & it’s cool; a lil’ bit of that good-soundin’ sing-rap style? Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s good with this street content; keep it goin’… Hearin’ tha 2nd part of tha 1st verse & it seems like this release iz just draggin’ to review… Just seems like really long verses & tracks, so I’ono how well my interest gon continue ta hol’ up… Keepin’ it goin’ with tha 2nd verse & it’s str8, as tha track continues to progress for tha hood… Also, of course, a long-soundin’ outro but behind tha hook, for tha end… My Rating: 3.4

½tyme: Seems like a decent release, so far; too many long jointz, tho. Lots of long verses & long tracks ta make this seem like a boring review… Currently, tha average rating iz at a 3.7; how will it continue?

08. “When It On”
Producer: Mikey
>>> Sounds like a good beat & beginning, here; nice energy & not-so-long length of 3:48—oh wait, that’s literally about ½ of tha 1st track’s length! Tha hook cool; gotta keep bein’ “on” game! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s cool; it just blends with tha hook with non-stop rappin’, basically. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & tha energy continues; good shit… I see how tha title’s “When It On” but it says, “It’s”; should it have been “It’s”? I think so; too bad tha distributors ain’t think tha same… My Rating: 3.8

09. “N.D.T.”
Producer: Don Juan
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ anthem; tha title stands for “Niggaz, Dogz, Thugz”, based off tha hook? If so, that’s a cool acronym & tha beat pretty nice fa tha 5-0-4 parties, as well… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds nice; just anotha way of representin’ non-stop, basically. Keepin’ it goin’, as I transition to tha ½ point of tha track & again, it just seems kinda long. Hearin’ tha sampled melody at 2:56 & it’s a good transition, at least; I feel tha energy better, now… Then again, tha rest iz just chantin’ & tha beat continuin’; cool but a lil’ long… My Rating: 3.8

10. “Take It Off”
Producer: Sinista
>>> Sounds like anotha anthem; catchy hook fa those that are willin’ to undress…! Great anthemic beat, Sinista; 54th, let’s go! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & tha energy’s nice; keep tha vibe up! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s cool with tha energy, as tha track continues ta hold it down…! Keepin’ it movin’ with tha 3rd verse, here, with just as much energetic contributions as tha other verses; good shit, as I enjoyed this without feelin’ like it was too long. My Rating: 4.2

11. “Hennessy Nights”
Producer: Sinista
>>> Sounds like an okay beat fa tha hoodz, here; likin’ those “marijuana dayz” ta kick tha hook off…! Tha hook str8; not much else ta say about it… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it ain’t bad; I feel like this gon be a lil’ too long of a track, tho. Keepin’ this track movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, soundin’ good with tha shmoked-out vibes, at least. Good rhymes as tha track continues but tha length of these verses make me doze off… Like, tha outro beat has ta be 81 seconds long? I mean, cool beat but it’s literally like it’s tyme for a break every song or somethin’… My Rating: 3.6

12. “High Life”
Producer: Don Juan
>>> Beat sounds like it’s closer to a West Coast-soundin’ style than a N’awlinz one… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it ain’t bad; luckily, this ain’t too bad on tha length (4:08), so hopefully, it won’t seem too-too long. Hearin’ tha 2nd part of tha 1st verse & it sounds like a big, continuous middle finger with all tha “fuck” attitudes, lol. Hearin’ tha hook part & I literally thought it was tha 2nd verse comin’ in; transitioning seems like it blends in too much? Also, spoken words to cover over tha hook part, on tha hook? I’ono ‘bout dat… Hearin’ tha actual 2nd verse & it’s aight; I mean, I’m not gonna jump for tha starz but it’s str8… My Rating: 3.5

13. “Slow Down”
Producer: Don Juan
>>> I’ono about this “slow” vibe, especially bein’ 5:02 on tha length. I mean, if it was gonna be that long, at least be two seconds longer! Like, 5:02 + 0:02 = 5:04! Anyway, hearin’ tha 1st verse & it ain’t bad; it’s okay with that female in tha background but sounds like it gon be depressin’? Hearin’ tha hook & I’ono what ta say about it; just a female vocalizin’ tha hook like it was a G-Funk anthem, I guess? Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it ain’t bad with these rhymes; glad they reminisce a laidback, No Limit vibe, right? That’s what vibe tha whole vibe of this track gives me, between tha beat, vocals, lyrics & background vocals. Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it ain’t bad; just seems like it’s equivalent ta two long verses, when I hear how long these tracks be… My Rating: 3.4

14. “If I Die”
Producer: Don Juan
>>> Tha female in tha background of this track reminds me of tha track I just listened to, only a lil’ faster… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it ain’t bad; not much feedback from me, here. I’ono, I feel like I don’t wanna give anymore feedback ta this joint; just sappy, overall. If I had ta give more feedback, I’d say that tha hook okay/not really fa me. When I hear tha 2nd verse, it seems okay but it sounds too depressin’, overall. My Rating: 2.3

15. “Dirty, Dirty”
Producer: Sinista
>>> Endin’ wit a much-catchier, nice-soundin’ track! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s pretty dope, from tha “Dirty, Dirty”! Also, Sinista comin’ through wit a nice track fa tha hood, as well; diggin’ tha excitement in tha eerie, street beat! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s pretty nice fa how y’all hold it down fa tha streetz, here… Keepin’ it movin’ with tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ like anotha nicely-rapped verse fa tha hood; good shit. Likin’ how tha flow sounds a lil’ more gangsta on tha vocals, durin’ tha 2nd part of tha 2nd verse; git it in! Long outro, this tyme? I hear tha hook repeat an extra tyme—oh wait, repeatin’ a 3rd tyme? Now, transitionin’ to an outro; cool, I guess? Nice way ta end this thang off; luvin’ how Sinista adds tha eerie sounds to tha already-eerie vibe…! My Rating: 4.3

Overall: Seemed like this was too long of an album, which wound up borin’ me more than interestin’ me. Beats seemed good, at tymes, but verses either seemed too long or too long of a track, overall.

Features on this CD (not sure where they exactly are) include 9th Ward Kings, Face Forever, Legend Man & T-Elly…! Looks like tha 1st 12 tracks are by Face Forever & 13 – 18 are by 54th Platoon? Seein’ this on Discogs, as we speak… Start Time: 11:39 AM | End Time: 12:49 PM

01. Session I
Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> Nice lil’ dialect in tha beginning, as well as tha nice beat from Mr. Swang, here…! My Rating: N/A

02. “R.A.W.”
Producer: Mike Dogg
>>> Really feelin’ this G-Funk beat start!! Sounds great wit tha hook; definitely feelin’ tha fast, grimy raps wit this beat!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and this street content’s definitely on-n-poppin’! Rhymes on tha 2nd verse are soundin’ nice, here; gotta give y’all tha props! “Swisher after swisher!” My Rating: 4.5

03. “America’s Nightmare”
Producer: Mike Dogg
>>> A lovely, long, G-Funk beat intro, here! Nice job wit tha 37 seconds, Mike Dogg!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty dope, as it sounds like anotha cold, dark, lonely day in tha hood… Got tha 2nd verse, here, as they’re “in [their] New Orleans state of mind;” dope shit! “When I release this muthafuckin’ mad dog in me;” you got that right! My Rating: 4.6

04. “On The Loose”
Producer: Mike Dogg
>>> Anotha dope G-Funk beat from Mike Dogg, here! Tha hook’s pretty nice, once again; on a mission ta run! Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ nice, here, as it’s strictly fa tha dark hood… Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice fa tha hood, once again; all about “Louisiana!” My Rating: 4.3

05. Session II
Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> Pretty dope, once again, wit Ezell on tha beats; good shit! My Rating: N/A

06. “Rollin’ In My Ride” feat. Legend Man & Edward J. West
Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> An okay/guilty pleasure-soundin’ hook, wit tha singin’… I’m diggin’ tha “high” perspective and laidback beat, as well… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ like a str8 verse… Tha 2nd verse sounds okay ta hear, as well; can’t complain… Tha 3rd verse ain’t too bad, as well… Like I said, I like tha stoner vibe but, I’ono, it may be too laidback/a lil’ weird wit tha singin’/okay rappin’ fa me… My Rating: 4.0

07. “World Of Crime” feat. Edward J. West
Producer: Wydell
I feel like I know this one… Still sounds pretty nice ta hear, between Edward singin’ & y’all depictin’ that tha “world iz crime.” My Current Rating: 4.2

08. “Survival”
Producer: Wydell
>>> Beat sounds good, here; hearin’ tha 1st verse and it str8… Tha hook ain’t bad, here; anotha regular song fa tha hood… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it ain’t bad, as well… My Rating: 3.7

09. “Never Say Die”
Producer: Wydell
>>> Beat’s a lil’ more upbeat, here; feelin’ tha hook, here… Sounds like your typical, locked-in-tha-‘90s-type rap, wit a more upbeat tempo… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and tha rhymes are dope; feelin’ how this iz delivered… Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ pretty nice; consistent rhymes that are unstoppable… My Rating: 4.2

½time: A 4.2-rated CD, so far; diggin’ tha beginning with tha G-Funk sound. Lots of undaground talent bein’ shown to tha hood and tha lovers of tha hood, here; keep it goin’!

10. “Product & Revenue”
Producer: Mike Dogg
>>> Mike Dogg on tha beat but more on a jacked-beat tip? “Paid In Full”, here…? Okay, at :20, tha beat added a lil’ bit of dat undaground, Louisiana sound to it… Hearin’ tha hook and it ain’t bad; sounds like it gon be an okay joint… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ okay, here… Tha 2nd verse’s pretty dope wit these consistent, fast rhymes! Once again, “dat New Orleans state of mind!” My Rating: 4.2

11. Session III
Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> Nice lil’ beat in tha background; feelin’ tha fuzzy-soundin’ background, as it reminds me of tha old times… Nice lil’ “session,” here! My Rating: N/A

12. “Paradise” feat. Lisa
Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> Beat ain’t too bad; a lil’ upbeat but a laidback vibe… Hearin’ tha hook and it str8; let’s see what else this gon offer… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it okay, wit these real-life rhymes… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it ain’t bad, as well; let’s keep it goin’… Tha Lisa chick comes in and sing, here, ta add a dancefloor vibe? Tha 3rd verse sounds okay, as well; not too crazy ‘bout this shit but it ain’t bad… My Rating: 3.6

13. “Fearless”
Producer: Mr. Sinista
>>> Hook’s nice and hyped-up; good shit…! Tha beat sounds good ta absorb energy outta y’all for, as tha 1st verse’s showin’ tha street content, with energy… Tha 2nd part of tha 1st verse’s more on a gutta-soundin’ vibe, here; good shit…! We got a 3rd part of tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ a lil’ more hyped and “paranoially” (lol) tight…! Got a 4th part of tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ a lil’ aggressive and on a mission fa success… We got tha 5th part of tha 1st verse, here, comin’ through wit mo shit ta keep this goin’… Afta five parts of one verse, here comes tha hook again…, finally; good shit! My Rating: 4.1

14. “21 Thug Salute”
Producer: Mr. Sinista
>>> Sounds like it gon be somethin’ serious, based off of Sinista’s production/drums in tha beginning…! Sounds like a nice lil’ anthem fa tha hood; good lil’ hook, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s good, here; gotta rep fa tha “streetz.” Got tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear, as well; keep reppin’…! My Rating: 4.1

15. “Us”
Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> Beat sounds cool fa tha streetz, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s str8; seems like a long song like “Fearless” so we’ll see how this goes… “Cats scattered like shattered glass;” nice… Got tha 2nd part of tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ good ta rep fa “New Orleans,” as they claim… This kinda sounds like it’s draggin’ fa me, as tha transition to whereva tha hook iz ain’t great… Lots of rhymes; can’t complain about tha quality of ‘em, tho… My Rating: 3.8

16. “War Zone”
Producer: Mr. Sinista
>>> Sounds like a nice, upbeat beat from Sinista, here; good lil’ hook, too… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and this “war” finna begin wit y’all leadin’ tha way…! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty dope; lots of fastness on tha delivery! Greatness…! My Rating: 4.2

17. “Greed (PI)”
Producer: Mike Dogg
>>> Beat sounds cool, here; let’s see how y’all do on tha mic… Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ str8; can’t complain… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s good; likin’ tha definition of “Greed.” Of course, you gotta hate greedy people! Hate when people do music fa tha money and not tha fun of it…! With that bein’ said, hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ str8, once again… My Rating: 3.5

18. “I Want It All”
Producer: Mike Dogg
>>> A good beat; okay-soundin’ 1st verse goin’ on, here… I’ono, I don’t feel tha real-life rhymes that much, when they’re regularly-rapped… Tha 2nd dude on this sounds okay; can’t complain about tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse… Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on and it sounds good, once again… Overall, this mainly a decent track fa me; not too excitin’ but okay/good… Hearin’ tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse and it sounds good fa tha hood, as well… My Rating: 3.7

Overall: Kinda wasn’t as exciting as tha beginning but for tha most part, good job. Tha beginning had its good, G-Funk sound ta offer, while tha 2nd ½ had a good portion of decent tracks/real-life shit… Also, two tracks were really draggin’ wit tha verse(s)…
