Review #1,988: DJ Jubilee Presents The Bounce Squad "Bouncin' All Over The World"

Reviewed on 6.05.2021 (Review #1,988)

Slowly tryna progress through these reviewz till I reach my 2,000th! Right about now, DJ Jubilee Presents The Bounce Squad Bouncin’ All Over The World iz my 1,988th review, released in 2000 on Take Fo Records! Start Tyme: 5:30 PM | End Tyme: 6:35 PM

Disclaimer:
I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. Intro Number
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ intro, courtesy of this N’awlinzness…! “I can dig that, like a shovel”; deep…………………………………………………………………………………………………, lol! My Rating: N/A

02. “Who They Want?”
>>> Feelin’ tha energy on tha hook & beat, here; definitely luv how you keep tha “bounce” in your genes, Jubilee! Props fa bringin’ this Bounce Squad in tha buildin’; S/O to Bigg Ramp on tha hook! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & this must be a “Lil’ Shaggy” dude from The Bounce Squad (Kooly); definitely feelin’ their shit! They sound a lil’ like a N’awlinz version of Boosie; keep dat energy up!! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds pretty nice, courtesy of tha consistent shit fa tha N’awlinz clubz, streetz & everywhere else! Twerker! Keepin’ this movin’ with a “Lil’ Will” dude on tha 3rd verse, here (Willie Puckett); just luv tha N’awlinz dialect & lifestyle! A lil’ outro at tha end almost made me think it was a 4th verse, with how they emerged into tha track; it’s cool, tho, as Anky just made an appearance. My Rating: 4.5

03. “Get Jiggy”
>>> Sounds great with how y’all want err-body ta “Get Jiggy” wit it; so glad y’all have unstoppable energy! Tha energy neva dies when you keep contributin’ it right! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s pretty nice with tha “ah, #1! Ah, #1!” Now, “ah, show dat world! Ah, show dat world!” Oh boy, iz this tha sequel to “Jubilee All (Stop Pause)”? This can go on fa 237402847248704893482043204928049840932943 seconds & I’d be zoned into every second of it! Media neva shuts off, in my ears or mind!! Music been playin’ in my head fa 21 years straight! That’s 662,688,000 seconds (tha leap year of 2000 doesn’t count as an extra day, due to it started in tha spring of 2000 fa me)! My brain hittin’ a BILLION, one day! Anyway, this shit iz unstoppable!! Lmao @ “I luv your man! I luv your man!” What a dance! This tha 2000 “Jubilee All”! My Rating: 4.6

04. “Tatted Up, Slugged Up, Thugged Out”
>>> What a grimy, clubby, hood hook!! Lol, I luv tha group doin’ tha voice to tha hook’s chant, dedicated ta those in this title! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ dope with how this energy & “tatted-up” lifestyle gets tha people movin’! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & this street/club shit iz unstoppable! Such a dope vibe fa these streetz; there’s energy! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it’s pretty dope with how this southern lifestyle continues! Gotta keep it movin’! Also, a nice lil’ outro ta end this shit, too; good shit! My Rating: 4.7

05. “Show The Globe”
>>> Sounds like anotha good bounce vibe; lol @ tha “globe” as a topic, here…! Then again, just realized, this “globe” iz an ass! Think: its shape! As tha rest of this continues, tha energy & call-to-action orders don’t stop! Nothin’ but pureness, courtesy of tha Jiggy-Jiggy-Jubilee! My Rating: 4.3

06. “Cash Cash, Mo Money”
>>> S/O to tha U.N.L.V. boyz, “Tec-9, Lil’ Ya & (R.I.P.) Yella Boy”; good intro… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds like a dope voice fa tha hood; literally, it sounds like tha N.O.’s hood leader! It’s like a Juvenile bred was born! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds like a weird-soundin’ low quality but it’s cool; tha hood iz in tha buildin’! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ good with tha regular-soundin’ rhymes, delivered with energy; props… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it ain’t too bad, as well; still diggin’ tha N’awlinz flow/voice, despite some of it seemin’ like regular rappin’… As far as tha rest of this shit, it seems like it’s gettin’ long. I know tha “Get Jiggy” shit was two minutes longer but with tha way there’s so much call-to-action & dancin’ shit, length wasn’t an issue fa me, there. With this regular-soundin’ flows & rap joint, havin’ a certain length keeps me in-tune for a certain period of tyme, ya feel me? My Rating: 3.6

07. “Hustlin’ In The Street”
>>> Sounds like a dope bounce track that emerged from “tha street”; definitely nice & hype with tha energy! As this continues, it’s nothin’ but ward-callin’ & hood-reppin’, here; unstoppable!! Lol @ “To Papa Reu”; good-ole “papa”! Just luv how this seems like it’s impossible to end!! My Rating: 4.4

08. “Hey Lil’ Soldier”
>>> Sounds like a youngin-type of joint, here; an okay hook but I’ono how much I can dig this youngin… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds okay; not much ta say, except that tha energy’s good. Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 2nd verse & this young voice iz startin’ ta make me seem like it’s a young female on tha mic; not too excitin’ fa me… Hearin’ what we got after tha two verses & it sounds more like a grown dude, soundin’ decent. It sounds more like talkin’ than rappin’; not tha greatest, overall… My Rating: 2.5

½tyme: Other than tha youngin joint b4 tha ½tyme, I’ve been feelin’ tha consistent, non-stop energy applied to tha tracks, here; Jubilee’s unstoppable! Either way, 4.1 iz tha average score, currently; let’s see if tha rating’ll do betta, in tha end!

09. “Get Ignorant”
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ hyped-up track, here; good beat & good lil’ hook with what y’all applyin’ to tha streetz! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds good with that Juvie-like flow; that 5-0-4—that rhymed (with “fo” as “4”)! Tha rest of what’s goin’ on with this track keeps tha energy up; can’t deny tha energy y’all puttin’ out fa tha streetz! My Rating: 4.2

10. “Get Jiggy With Al & Tee”
>>> Beat ain’t bad, here; I have a feelin’ I gon like tha just “Get Jiggy” betta than this… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds good with tha energy y’all apply to gettin’ err-body to jigg; good shit… Hearin’ tha hook & it’s all about tha “Al & Tee”, basically? A lot less repetitive than “Get Jiggy” but it’s still aight. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s all about tha “Take Fo” lifestyle & representation, here; gotta feel what’s goin’ on, here… Afta two verses, this “breakdown” may seem like a long outro? Neva mind, a 3rd verse iz here & y’all keepin’ it movin’, here; good shit… Now, I hear tha outro fa almost tha whole final minute of tha track & it’s cool; tha club don’t stop! My Rating: 4.1

11. “Ghetto Stories”
>>> That young chick, again? Hearin’ tha hook & it’s ehh…; coulda heard somethin’ betta? Glad there’s energy in this beat, at least…! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds like good content in tha street; I can’t complain too-too much. I think I’ve been so adjusted to that non-stop, male-vocal bounce vibe that this type of shit throws me for a lil’ curve. Props fa this chick fa deliverin’ consistent rhymes fa tha hood, at least; glad her not-really-for-me shit has quality in it… Endin’ this track with singin’? Doesn’t even match tha quality content I heard in this. Props for tryna push a “change” but tha way it’s sung sounds too depressin’… My Rating: 3.1

12. “All About A Hot Boy”
>>> Sounds good on tha hook & beat, here; always be a “hot boy”—a bounced-out one! Keepin’ this movin’ with tha 1st verse, comin’ through with that Hot Boy$-type shit, as if it was an undaground hood of New Orleans; good shit! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & what a deeper voice ta continue, here! Feelin’ their flow fa New Orleans, at least; keep it up with this hood content! Keepin’ this movin’ with tha 3rd verse & I’m still diggin’ this N’awlinz-like flow; strictly from tha 504, here! My Rating: 4.2

13. Interlude
>>> Sounds like a hyped-up interlude, here; keep tha energy goin’! Energy’s off tha chain fa tha crowd, here; not really a beat but mixin’ to get tha crowd up, up, up! My Rating: N/A

14. “I’m On Fire”
>>> Tha chick’s back! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds catchy with this “fire” & beat/its sounds; tha best one from tha chick…! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds good fa tha hood; can’t deny her perspective, here… Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ like a nice lil’ verse, as well; props fa tha proper energy fa tha streetz, here…! Tha rest of this shit sounds okay ta hear, as well; it’s anotha way of sayin’ tha energy neva dies! My Rating: 4.0

15. “One In The Chamber”
>>> Feelin’ tha energy in tha beat & claps, here; let’s get it! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s pretty dope with how you have anotha bounce creation: “One In The Chamber”! It’s like, just keep tha same bounce energy, except change each title, lol. Keepin’ it goin’ with tha 1st verse, here & you can’t deny tha energy! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & there’s more crazy-soundin’ energy, here; luv how it can’t die!! As this shit continues with tha 3rd verse, it’s like a bunch of energy in a can—a song can, that iz! My Rating: 4.3

16. “Freeze The Beef”
>>> Sounds like anotha nicely-dialected 504 track, here; tha content & beat’s pretty nice fa tha hood, here…! Hook sounds nice ta express tha tension in tha hood; gotta put tha “beef” on “freeze”! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds like a cool lil’ soulja, just tryna make way; great job on this beat… Keepin’ this shit movin’ with tha 2nd verse & y’all got mo cool shit goin’ on fa tha hood, here; all about expressin’ with a flow! Keepin’ this shit movin’ with tha 3rd verse & it’s soundin’ like a young Juvie, once again, comin’ through, supplyin’ tha hood; huh bruh…! My Rating: 4.4

Overall: This was a dope set of tracks; props fa all tha energy, Jubilee & Bounce Squad! Just didn’t really dig too-too much of tha chick but at least mostly all of this release was on-n-poppin’! Keep up tha energy & keep drillin’ it in peoples’ minds, bodies & anything in between!

Review #1,862: K.C. Redd & The Shake'em Up Girlz "It's A G-Thang"

Reviewed on 11.28.2019 (Review #1,862)

K.C. Redd & The Shake’em Up Girlz It’s A G-Thang iz my next review, released in 1999 on Take Fo Records; leggo… Start Time: 4:33 PM | End Time: 5:28 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!

Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I’m diggin’ tha “Girbauds” and “tee” fit, here; good shit! Now, it’s all about tha hair, on tha 2nd verse, courtesy of tha “braids;” dope… Tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ pretty hype; you got this shit on lock, Jubilee…! Almost tha last two minutes has Big Mann singin’; I’m feelin’ his singin’, definitely, lol. Review #1,826: Willie Puckett "Million-Dollar Hot Boy"

Reviewed on 10.15.2019 (Review #1,826)

Here comes my next review: N’awlinz’s own, Willie Puckett Million-Dollar Hot Boy, released in 1998 on Take Fo Records! Start Time: 2:18 PM | End Time: 3:15 PM

01. Mega Mix V
Producer: DJ Money Fresh
>>> Instant bounce start; great-soundin’ intro, here! My Rating: N/A

02. “Million-Dollar Hot Boy” (Dionne Davis feat. Bigg Ramp)
Producer: DJ Duck
>>> Diggin’ bein’ “off tha heezie,” on tha intro, here…! Feelin’ this hyped-up beat; definitely energetic ta rap on! Tha hook iz so Juvie-soundin’ wit tha voice; gotta luv it! Sucked in dat NOLA!! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, soundin’ as energetic as tha 1st verse; good shit…! Lol, “And monkey in her mouth;” Magnolia Shorty lead tha way fa tha monkeyz! Tha 3rd verse ain’t too bad, here… Fa some reason, I felt tha energy and voice on tha 1st two verses betta… Great chantin’ of tha cities, with a lil’ less than a minute-and-a-half remainin’… Diggin’ tha “uptown” dialect, at tha end! My Rating: 4.4

03. “Tear It Down” (Junie B & Lil’ Tee feat. Big Al)
Producer: DJ Duck
>>> Hyped-up hook, here; definitely feelin’ it wit tha bounce beat! Tha 1st verse’s pretty hype, as well as tha samples goin’ on, throughout tha beat…! Tha rest of this iz pretty hype; glad tha energy neva stops…! Afta 4:00, tha energy musta gotten ta dis bitch; crazy! Then again, why tha po-po…? My Rating: 4.3

04. “Hot Boy Creeper” (Big Bouncer & Bigg Ramp feat. K.C. Redd)
Producer: DJ Money Fresh
>>> Tha crazy bitch continues, wit this intro…! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ good wit this chick, here… Tha hook sounds catchy; when tha “beeper” would attract tha “Hot Boy Creeper!” Tha 2nd verse keeps this energy goin’; not much ta say… Tha 3rd verse’s all about “creepin’,” here, strictly mackin’ it out… Got tha 4th verse goin’ on, here, as K.C. Redd pleases tha men and they “beeper!” My Rating: 4.4

05. “Hit Her With That Work” feat. DJ Jubilee
Producer: DJ Duck
>>> Good lil’ bounce vibe, once again; beat’s nice and so iz tha sample…! Diggin’ tha repetitive “jiggy wit it” shit, as if Will Smith coulda used this in his shows, lol! Tha rest of this pretty nice and long…! Diggin’ tha chantin’ of tha cities, once again…! My Rating: 4.4

06. “10 Bitches” (Big Bouncer feat. Phat)
Producer: DJ Duck
>>> Hook sounds nice; beat sounds nice and energetic, once again…! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ pretty nice, here… Consistent sets of chantin’ and bouncy vibes, throughout this…! Likin’ when Phat takes ova, on tha final verse; good lil’ appearance…! My Rating: 4.3

07. “‘Cause You Love Me” feat. Lisa Amos
Producer: DJ Duck
>>> Decent singin’ from Lisa, here, on this bounce beat… Really long, here; kinda just dragged on, overall… My Rating: 3.2

½time: A 4.2-rated CD, so far; consistent bounce at its finest! Can’t deny it; no turnin’ back, now!

08. “Tear It Up” (Bigg Ramp feat. Junie B)
Producer: DJ Duck
>>> Sounds great wit tha bounce vibe, as well as tha hyped-up hook! Verses are pretty nice, here; strictly deliverin’ consistent rhymes fa tha streetz of tha 5-0-4! Great job, Junie B…! My Rating: 4.1

09. “Trigger Man” feat. Bigg Ramp
Producer: Super Dave
>>> Anticipatin’ tha “bruh” and “ya heard me” dialect, in tha intro, here; all about tha south! Oh, seein’ tha title and as soon as I heard tha imitation of tha sample, I figured out why this was called “Trigger Man”. Either way, definitely hot, tho… Got tha 1st verse, here & this some quality-soundin’ street content, here… Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ dope, too; gotta have dem “Girbauds on [ya] ass!” Real talk! Always wear mine in tha cold times, ya dig? Pure N.O. heat, here; you can hear it in da voice…! Tha 3rd verse pretty dope, too; good shit, tha whole way round! My Rating: 4.5

10. “Doggie Hopping” feat. Bigg Ramp
Producer: Henry The Man
>>> Sounds silly when tha title’s said, in tha beginning; interestin’… Really fast beats, here, at 147 BPM! Definitely feelin’ this vibe and it’s definitely on some “jammin’” shit, here! Definitely different from tha previous hyped-up vibes & I’m feelin’ it… Great job wit tha 1st verse, just consistently deliverin’ such fast rhymes ova a really-fast beat…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and just as I was thinkin’ of tha 1st verse, it reminds me of dat Miami bass music, from back in tha day; good shit…! My Rating: 4.2

11. “Hard Times” (Bigg Ramp feat. Young Villin)
Producer: Henry The Man
>>> Lol @ how Young Villin spells his name…; just tha way tha “Villin” looks…! Street vibes on tha 1st verse from Villin, here; good lil’ slower vibe… Tha hook sounds pretty dark wit those keys, as well as tha “all-black” reference to tha clothes; nice…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from Ramp and it’s pretty nice, wit a darker-soundin’ voice, here… Tha 3rd verse from Ramp’s soundin’ kinda dry, wit tha flow; I guess it’s tha sad vibe? My Rating: 3.7

12. “Will I Live Or Die?” (Bigg Ramp & Young Villin feat. Big Man)
Producer: Henry The Man
>>> Anotha sad topic; more of a funky-soundin’ beat & soulful hook from Big Man, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s str8; nothin’ much ta say… Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on, here & it aight… I don’t have much feedback, when it comes ta these sad songs… Got tha Villin on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit some betta-soundin’ rhymes… Oh boy, “Got a kid on tha way;” tough transition! Why this a clean version? Doesn’t even say “(Radio)” on tha ID? My Rating: 4.0

13. “In Tha Morning” feat. Bigg Ramp
Producer: DJ Duck
>>> An upbeat-soundin’ bounce vibe, wit less of tha crazy samples… Sounds like a good lil’ vibe, on tha 1st verse; nice and “high!” Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice; blends nicely wit tha 1st verse’s “high!” Sounds good wit how tha 2nd verse’s comin’ wit it; can’t complain… Some nice chantin’ afta tha 3rd hook; good shit! My Rating: 3.8

14. “Hit Her With That Work (Radio)” feat. DJ Jubilee
See #5 fa tha review…

15. “Tear It Down (Radio)” (Junie B & Lil’ Tee feat. Big Al)
See #3 fa tha review…

Overall: I thought tha 1st ½ was fulla some consistent, non-stop energy, while tha 2nd ½ calmed down, mostly. Either way, it turned out ta be a dope CD, overall; great job fa tha bounce world, Willie!

Rankings:

12. “‘Cause You Love Me” feat. Lisa Amos 3.2
11. “Hard Times” (Bigg Ramp feat. Young Villin) 3.7
