R.I.P. Video #47: VL Mike 2.0

Broadcasting from tha abandoned West Mountain Sanitarium in Scranton, PA... Today, April 20, 2016, marks eight years since tha murder of New Orleans rapper, Michael Allen, better known by his stage name, VL Mike. Allen was born on January 19, 1976 in New Orleans, LA. As a part of tha N.O.-based rap group, tha Chopper City Boyz, Allen & tha Chopper City Boyz released their debut album, We Got This, on February 27, 2007 on Chopper City Records & Koch Records. Tha album featured tha smash, "Make 'Em Mad", featuring B.G., which was produced by Mississippi heavyweight, David Banner. Tha album sold 27,000 copies in its first week, as it debuted @ #21 on tha Billboard Hot 200 chart, #4 on tha Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, #1 on tha Billboard Top Rap Albums chart, and #1 on tha Billboard Independent Albums chart. Shortly after tha album was released, Allen departed from Chopper City Records and went on to pursue a solo career on Executive Game Entertainment. From there, he released I'm The Truth (Da Mixtape) & Place Yo Betz in 2007. Shortly after, Allen was in talks with signing with Sony BMG & Epic Records, gettin' ready to release his debut album, It's Only One Me. However, on April 20, 2008, at around 1:00 PM, while exiting his vehicle on tha 4700 block of Miles Drive, Allen was shot multiple times by a mysterious gunman in New Orleans, where Allen later died at University Hospital. Word on tha street was that Allen's killer escaped by foot.

Shortly after his death, Allen's final-recorded verse would be released on April 24, 2008, on Baton Rouge's A-Mar & Dyl's "To The Max", with Max Minelli & VL Mike. Around tha same time, Allen's solo debut single, "Money In Here", featuring tha legendary N.O.'s Mannie Fresh, was released. In 2011, Mighty Muzik released Can't Say It 2 My Face, more unreleased material from Allen. If VL were alive today, he would've celebrated his 40th birthday on January 19, 2016, as he was only 32 years-old at tha time of his death.

Article #02: Promo Only: eNewsletter April 2015

Profile: Frankie Seminario
A Shared Passion
It's not just a corporate slogan: Music IS our passion, a passion we like to think we share with all our customers, none more so than marathon Dance Radio reviewer Frankie Seminario, aka DJ Frankiethaluckydog.

Diagnosed with autism at age 12, Frankie found peace and passion in the rhythmic music he heard growing up each night on Long Island's Party 105.3. Inspired by 105's playlists, he began creating his own countdowns, based on what he would hear on P2P sites such as LimeWire, and posting them on a website of his own. His passion would later drive him, at just 17 years old, to review an album that rocked his young world, Cascada's "Everytime We Touch".

Frankie began reviewing in earnest upon receiving Dance Radio May 2006, his first Promo Only CD. He has since reviewed virtually every Dance Radio release and shared those reviews on a global platform where he has garnered the attention and admiration of artists such as Dee-1, Diana Falzone, Eddie Amador, Edun, Fila Phil, Jill Tirrell (Krista), Lokee, Lil' Cali, Kevin Gates, Marcie, Rod Carrillo, and VL Mike.

Today, with a Master's Degree in video production, a four-year stint hosting his own show on Marywood University's VMFM-91.7, 1,450 CD reviews, an article in Mass Appeal Records' magazine, and a second album about to be released to his credit, Frankie still finds the time to submit his Dance Radio reviews, for which we are most appreciative.

Thanks Frankie!

Review #1,107: Gar & B.G. "Loyalty Is Royalty (Hosted by DJ 5150 & DJ Hektik)"

Reviewed on 12.26.2011 (Review #1,107)

This next review, which iz Gar & B.G. Loyalty Is Royalty (Hosted by DJ 5150 & DJ Hektik), iz not CD eligible? Why iz it 1:53:02? Guess it sold 0 copies in tha streetz, smh?! But, Billionaire Mafia Entertainment/Chopper City Records in tha buildin’ wit this one! Start Time: 8:36 AM End Time: 9:15 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I already love it. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating! Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Intro / “G.A.”
>>> Good intro; that’s DJ 5150 (tha 2nd dude’s voice), lol? Now, let’s see tha song… Sounds like a soft, Lloyd song? I thought this was a hard mixtape, not a soft one? Nothin’ really to comment; too soft! My Rating: 2.8

02. “Chopper City”
>>> Sounds real tight wit tha beat and tha hook! Rhymes are hella consistent wit Gar, here!! No B.G., lol? Guess it worked out real good for just Gar ‘cause tha 2nd verse was really on-n-poppin’, too!! My Rating: 4.6

03. “U Can Bleed Too” Feat. Skip & C-Murder
>>> Nice shit from Skip in tha 1st verse; why iz he last in tha ID? Good shit from C-Murder, at its finest, “too”!! Gar’s holdin’ shit down on tha 3rd verse, almost soundin’ like Max Minelli, here, which sounds tight, once again!! My Rating: 4.5

04. “Face Up”
>>> Ooh, an X-Fyle beat! Finally, some B.G., comin’ through wit some good, 31-year-old-type street shit, here! Good job wit havin’ Gar on this, too! Gotta luv tha collaboration he has wit Shell (Young Thugga) “Face Shots”! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Same Ol’ Shit” Feat. VL Mike
>>> Thought it was gonna be tha Magnolia Boyz joint fa a second, lol. Sounds like a soft song wit tha beginning, but I hear tha beat kickin’ in, once B.G. starts tha 1st verse… Good shit from him, still, and Gar has a nice 2nd verse… Damn, this iz 5:15? Way too long… B.G. has a much-betta 3rd verse goin’ on—oh wait, that’s Gar, lol; my bad for tha confusion, but it sounds hella tight wit tha fastness!! Wait a second, fuckin’ unsourced people? Who tha fuck are they?! LOL, tha only one I know iz VL Mike on tha last verse; lol, how random, but tight! My Rating: 4.0

06. “Gutta Gutta”
>>> Sounds like it gon be a good weed anthem? Yea, sounds good wit B.G. on tha 1st verse; consistent rhymin’ goin’ on… Tha hook says it all: “gutta as a muthafucka;” right! Good shit, somewhat, from Gar on tha 2nd verse, here… Nice and smooth lil’ 3rd verse from B.G., here; keep tha rhymes goin’!! My Rating: 4.2

07. “So 504”
Ain’t dat so?! >>> Really likin’ tha anthemic beat, as well as tha hook! Good shit from B.G. on tha 1st verse, representin’ at all times! “I got money now;” huh? You’ve been in tha game for almost two decades, Gizzle! What, nothin’ back then? Glad ta hear Gar on tha 2nd verse; you know what it iz wit dis! Glad ta hear some shit dat originated in tha streetz! My Rating: 4.5

08. “My Hood” Feat. Mannie Fresh
Hella old!!! Hate ’09!! No need to bring it back; I’m no longer a giving-idiot! My Current Rating: 3.8

09. “Walk With Me”
>>> Sounds decent, and almost reminds me of bein’ old, like tha last joint. B.G. sounds decent on tha 1st verse; lol @ tha gangsta lyrics… I like tha hook; sounds catchy for a mainstream song, even though I might’ve heard this before? All B.G. verses, here; okay, overall… My Rating: 3.8

10. “Choppers, 9’s & 40’s”
>>> Oh no, not jacked beats, especially from tha turned-into-gayland 2010! Whether I heard it or not, sounds consistent. My Rating: 4.0

11. “All Eyes On Me”
>>> “K.I. Dub on tha track”? Iz that K.I. Double? Interestin’ beat, though; definitely feelin’ it! Good job from B.G., as he comes through wit tha consistent rhymes! Good job from Gar, too; can’t deny tha 2nd verse! LOL, gotta end it wit Gizzle, comin’ through as tha “neighborhood supastar!” My Rating: 4.4

12. “I C U Ridin’ Homie”
No, it’s “ridin’”, not “riden”; smh @ people wit their “en” thinkin’ of words! >>> Okay wit tha Jeezy sample; not sure how people songs wit samples are, these dayz; kinda a fad? Beat’s pretty hot, includin’ how B.G. holds it down on tha 1st verse, wit his consistentness. Of course, gotta have Gar on tha 2nd verse; “black” everythang, lol? LOL! My Rating: 4.2

13. “Slippin’” Feat. Bonka
Bonka of Da Goonz on tha feature!!! Whoo!!! He freestyled on my latest mixtape, as well as doin’ a separate freestyle on my “ScrEEchin’ Crawfish” segment of my “Tha Louisiana Pit” undaground radio show! Definitely lookin’ forward ta dis!! >>> Really likin’ tha beat, as it has some foreign country/Egyptian-type sounds goin’ on!! Whoa, there’s a bunch of hot sounds goin’ on, here!! Tha hook’s pretty nice; thumbs up fa creatin’ some shit like dis!! Definitely not “slippin’” when it comes ta deliverin’ nothin’ but tha best!! Gar does a nice job wit tha great hook, and B.G. does a great job deliverin’ tha 1st verse, in an anti-“slippin’” perspective! Hearin’ Gar rap on tha 2nd verse, and it’s good… good. LOL, Bonka was high as fuck when he freestyled for me, so I can only imagine how many blunts he had when he knew he was gonna collaborate wit y’all, lol! Sounds like some serious shit he spittin’ on tha 3rd verse; gotta luv his voice, and I’m glad he came through wit his tightness!! My Rating: 4.7

14. “Colder”
Not “softer”, I hope. >>> Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaatttttttttt iiiiiiiizzzzzzzzzzzz thhiiiiiiiiissssss Drake beat?! Makin’ feedback quick… Sounds good/aight, but why this beat? I could’ve sworn I was listenin’ to undaground music! My Rating: 3.3

½time: A 4.1-rated CD; real nice job, here, wit dis shit! Was surprised ta hear Bonka; definitely gave this some excitement, and y’all got some nice collaborations, here!

15. “The Real Is Back” Feat. Benzino
Benzino, tha white dude that had a song in 2002, a while ago? Or, am I trippin’, and forgot that Benzino was on a few mixtapes, previously? >>> Sounds good; nothin’ much ta say, here, except tha really hot beat in tha hook. My Rating: 4.1

16. “Lose My Mind”
>>> Sounds famil—no, not anotha jacked beat! A lil’ catchy for a remake, but whateva; it’s betta than tha “Colder” one! My Rating: 3.7

17. “’Bout That”
>>> Sounds like a song I heard before, but you already know, this iz tight, too, especially this continuous, “I’m ‘bout that” hook! My Rating: 4.3

18. “U See Why”
>>> A lil’ soft, even though it has a street vibe to it wit tha lyrics…; what’s up wit tha long-ass lengths? My Rating: 3.5

19. “Set It Off”
>>> LOL, jacked beat but it’s okay for a remake… My Rating: 3.6

20. “’Bout This Grindin’”
Nooooo, not these gay-ass ’09 dayz, again!! I’ll admit, I did a bunch of ‘free’, faggy things in that year! I’m glad I learned betta!! My Current Rating: 4.5

21. “Make It Official”
>>> Beat’s nothin’ special, but tha rhymes are pretty good… My Rating: 3.6

22. “Batt’em Up” Feat. Red
LOL, tha feature’s listed, this time? >>> A lil’ long for a mixtape, but whateva… Okay wit tha good rhymes, although tha hook seems to make tha highlight, as I hear a lil’ bit of G-Funk goin’ on, in tha beat! Nice job wit tha collaboration; keep this shit up! My Rating: 4.2

23. “Don’t Wanna Be Without You” Feat. Real
Somebody’s named “Real”, smh? Prolly could’ve had a different name? Also, “without”, not “with out”, smh. >>> Sounds like a jam; this one’s too long, too… This sounds like an old school vibe, which sounds good; likin’ these soundin’-like late ‘90s, early ‘00s rhymes, even though tha joint’s only decent, overall, for me. My Rating: 3.9

24. “Stalkin’”
LOL. >>> Anotha good vibe like tha previous song, includin’ a melody! LOL, smh @ tha people that try ta “stalk” me; glad I don’t have ta be there fa everyone! Good job wit tha consistent verses; anti-“stalkin’” point of view, here! My Rating: 4.3

25. “Bust A Move”
>>> A smooth vibe, here, that’s not soft, but good…; nice shit, here, Gizzle. Tha hook’s pretty smooth, here; likin’ what Gar’s bringin’ to tha table, too. LOL @ all this “suck dat dick” shit; you really goin’ at ‘em, in a tauntin’ way, Gizzle! My Rating: 4.1

26. “Whateva U Like”
>>> Some mainstream sound, here; think it sounds good, almost like a follow-up single. Mysterious female singin’ on tha hook? Nice triple combo, though! Gizzle strippin’ down ta please tha ladies, here, lol. My Rating: 3.8

27. “Keep It Real” Feat. Alfamega
An ATL collaboration here, P$C style… >>> Gotta luv tha “wuzzam” intro!! Gizzle, you a classic fool fa dat!! Feelin’ tha hook; has a lil’ bit of a T.I. “Big Things Poppin’” feel to it (I assume Mannie Fresh produced this?), even though I shouldn’t be bringin’ up those gay-ass ’07 times! Sounds like this joint would have good memories or somethin’, in tha future, just like every single song I heard in 2008?! Gar did a nice job on tha 2nd verse, here; feelin’ how he comes through fa tha streetz wit his hidden energy! Alfamega sounds hella tight on tha 3rd verse, bringin’ back some great-soundin’ ATL shit! Good job wit this collaboration; really luvin’ tha consistency goin’ on, here!! My Rating: 4.6

28. “50 Rules”
>>> Almost reminds me of Max Minelli in tha beginning; how Gartastic, if you say so, lol! More “G.A.” reppin’ goin’ on? How ‘bout, “504, 504, 504, 504, 504, 504…,” instead? Beat’s definitely jammin’, here; nice job wit comin’ through wit this shit, courtesy of Gar takin’ this joint ova, in tha beginning! No need fa Gizzle, here; it’s all about Gar!! Glad he holdin’ tha whole joint down! My Rating: 4.3

29. “Gunz N Roses (Free B.G.)”
LOL, interestin’ title ta end this mixtape… >>> Sounds like an identity crisis wit tha production, here, but it’s still pretty good. Once again, Gar holdin’ this whole joint down, doin’ a nice job wit tha streetz, here, and his hidden voice, lol! My Rating: 4.2

Overall: Even though way too long of a mixtape, this was definitely tight shit! No skits, just music, lol! Good job, guys; my dude P.I.R. told me B.G. might get 40 years (be 71 years-old by tha time he gets outta jail)? Sad, but people need to be more alert!

Reviewed on 7.31.2011 (Review #1,037)

Got 10 current reviewz ta do before tha month ends… Startin’ it off iz VL Mike “Can’t Say It 2 My Face! R.I.P. ta VL; let’s hear his 1st posthumous release! Start Time: 8:09 AM | End Time: 10:09 AM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. 01. KrizStylez Intro
A Mighty Muzik game drop, which iz short; let’s hear tha representation, here! >>> “DJ Perv,” here; a “Black Wallstreet” presentation! Good shit! My Rating: N/A

02. Perv Drop
Not sure if this or #1 iz tha correct ID… >>> Anotha good one. Tha tracklisting I got from tha Mighty Muzik crew had 19; this CD has 18, so an extra drop might be in here somewhere… My Rating: N/A

03. “2 Shots”
Let’s hear tha 1st song on this! >>> Sounds serious wit tha beat (Black Wallstreet vs. New Orleans style); definitely somethin’ serious! LOL @ tha “VL fallin’ off iz like Oprah catchin’ tha bus” line! Glad you liked my review for “Place Yo Betz” when my boy Jimmy the DJ showed you tha review before you died, VL! LOL @ tha “my dick get hard when I gotta punish you niggaz” line; real shit! People are scared ta say their “dick hard” when it’s a non-female subject; fuck ‘em! I’ll prolly be tha 2nd person ta say somethin’, followin’ you, VL! I have it as a disease, but it might be considered regular, ‘cause no one can express actual shit like me! Real nice job on tha 1st verse and tha hook’s pretty serious, too! Definitely a nice subject ta cover, ya dig? Tha 2nd verse’s pretty serious, as well; you know I’m up fa this shit, ya feel me? Tha 3rd verse raw as fuck, too; “lights out, no camera, just action!” A drop from Game at tha end; nice shit! My Rating: 4.7

04. “Black Glocc”
This should be pretty tight wit this “glock” shit…! >>> Must be ‘07ish, like, maybe from tha “I’m The Truth” mixtape? I remember someone sayin’ there was a mix of old and new, here, but it’s all good fa me ‘cause I ain’t get ta review dat CD, yet. Despite this gay, ’07, Poppy “Coffee Shop” beat, I thought tha hook was pretty gangsta, at least! Nice rhymes comin’ from you, here; definitely some gangsta shit dat I gotta luv! LOL, 4:47 on tha length? You know I’d hate ta hear someone else on this beat but it’s meant fa you, VL, ‘cause you know how ta handle Pop beats like this! Nice rhymes in tha 2nd verse; can’t complain ‘bout anything! Wish you were here to see this review! At least tha people representin’ for you, currently, are gonna see it! Tha 3rd verse’s real, too; wish Rap/Hip-Hop would kill tha word swag, Auto-Tune & fake people! My Rating: 4.4

05. “Gangsta Life”
Glad to see some titles like this from a legendary artist (yourself)! It’s about time I breathe some fresh air ‘cause I be reviewin’ some fake shit, here and there! >>> I like tha beginning beat; gotta go back to that good part of ’07 (when I discovered my Louisiana connection) and most of ’08 (sorry, I know you were killed in tha mist of my great ’08 times). Tha hook reminds me of Dat Boy A, at times; I think it’s a random N.O. vocalist, which adds dat great “gangsta” shit to tha hook and what you’re bringin’ to tha 1st verse! Tha 2nd verse iz definitely on a real serious side! I like tha line about your kids; hope they become legends, too! Raw-ass “duct-tape me if I’m fake” line; gonna keep hearin’ more!! I really like tha 3rd verse, too; lots of great lines fa tha real dudes dat be fuckin’ wit dem drugs. You always be holdin’ it down fa Gs worldwide! Nice ending from tha singer, too! My Rating: 4.3

06. The Game Drop
>>> Thought it was a song but it’s a drop from Game; sounds nice ta hear! Aside from Chopper City Boyz, I heard VL Mike on that “Still Game” song dat I didn’t like back in tha middle of ’07. However, too bad for my stupid-ass thinkin’ ‘cause I didn’t pay too much attention to Louisiana, at tha time. Instead, I paid attention to all those fake-ass people that were at my 1st college! I thought I was cool wit at least 100? WTF? I think I came back cool wit no more than five and I rarely talk to them! Now, I’m cool wit ova 400 people from Louisiana and I know they got luv fa me!! My Rating: N/A

07. “Hit ‘Em High, Hit ‘Em Low”
Let’s see what we got fa this one… >>> Sounds like a catchy song; I like this “hi…low…” shit on tha hook! Ooh, you’re comin’ through wit energy in your voice as well as tha kick-ass rhymes fa tha people dat do real thangz in tha streetz!! Tha 2nd verse sounds betta wit how your voice keeps gettin’ mo and mo gutta! Glad these songs have three verses; everything you got goin’ on, VL, you got ta deliver! My Rating: 4.3
EDIT: Damn, I gotta YouTube these titles?

08. “That’s VL”
Keepin’ it goin’ wit… >>> Really likin’ these beats for some reason! They give me good vibes, prolly ‘cause it’s you on tha mic! You’re tha “killa since 15;” nothin’ but dat gutta-ass shit!! Good 2nd verse! You keepin’ it goin’ at all times! What else can I say? “When ya hear ‘em call me a big dog, they ain’t talkin’ ‘bout size; they talkin’ ‘bout my heart and tha fiya in my eyes;” A+ line, right there!! That’s exactly what I am! I got a huge “heart” but am tiny as far as how much I weigh and shit! I like all tha people, especially tha ladies, on tha hook; “ooh, girl, that’s VL!” My Rating: 4.5
EDIT: Hard ta come across but a combo of a Google and YouTube search gave me tha title!

09. “Stay Down” Feat. Akon
What’ll be #9? >>> Akon song? Guess tha tracklisting’s in order, again? Didn’t think tha previous songs were called what they were called; hope I have ‘em correct on tha ID. Despite anything goin’ on, this sounds like it could’ve been a great mainstream/Music Choice Rap song or somethin’; really likin’ tha production, here! Likin’ tha 2nd verse; sounds like you could’ve “[opened] tha doors” fa many! I feel like once Pimp C died, most Louisiana rappers (excludin’ Wayne & Birdman; they’re not Louisiana anymore) don’t break into tha mainstream, anymore! My Rating: 4.3

½time: Feelin’ pretty good wit this CD, here; most of tha songs I’ve been rating pretty high, as well as tha same rating! Keep it goin’, bruh; a 4.4 for tha current CD rating!!!!

10. “Grew Up A Screw Up” Feat. Twelve A’Klok
I know what this gon go into… >>> Uh oh, B.G., here; must be an explosive fight, lol? He sounds like he’s dissin’ you; I know you went hard on that “Ether” beat against him! It was February 18, 2008 I reviewed “Place Yo Betz” and now, who would’ve thought it’d take this long ta review anotha CD of yours? So much goin’ on wit err-body…; but, I know you gon go off on thi—you already are wit tha 1st verse!! Not bad wit how it sounds for a song but as far as what you got goin’ on wit tha content, it’s pretty serious, like firing a missle at Gizzle! Who’s this “H.N.I.C.” comin’ through on tha 2nd hook? He gon rap? Oh wait, it’s tha late Twelve A’Klok! Damn, two dayz ‘til tha one-year anniversary of him dyin’! At least y’all friends in heaven, now! He did tha damn thang on this shit! Here’s tha tribute video I made for 12: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7GaLb-s3jQ My Rating: 4.1

11. “Money In Here” Feat. Mannie Fresh
A part of that special timeline, November 27, 2007 – February 9, 2009, which I call tha “Nu$$ie-Alive” times! Those are and will always be tha best times fa tha Louisiana connection… prolly will, even though when I finally hit Louisiana, it should be a good competition! I almost consider this tha ‘final single’ from you; came through pretty nice on it wit Mannie! Tha beat’s definitely jammin’ and ironic wit tha lyrics: “Chopper City Records, I was always one of tha best;” “was” = “previously,” like it would be remembered. That’s ironic ‘cause you would usually say, “I am,” but now that you’re gone, you definitely were “one of tha best!” Ironic dat on tha previous review, a special song came on. Now, tha same magic’s happenin’ wit anotha song comin’ on Music Choice Dance (“Disarm Yourself”); whoo!! VL Mike-type luck dat neva dies or disappoints!! Tha 2nd verse may’ve been pretty hot and consistent; so iz tha 3rd verse! Showed my gurl Alexia tha 2008 year-end countdown I did, which this was featured on, and she luved tha countdown! Anotha reason why this iz one of those memorable songs!! My Current Rating: 4.6

12. “Brains On Da Wall”
Pretty serious title! >>> LOL, those times/borderline times wit tha “Duffle Bag Boy” beat! This beat doesn’t get old, at times; you keepin’ these special times alive! Good shit you bringin’ wit tha 1st verse; definitely a perspective ta put someone’s “brains on da wall,” lol! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ even betta; I luv when there’s lots of energy in tha voice! It makes tha track real hot and mo serious, ya heard me?! My Rating: 4.2

13. “Don’t Mention My Name”
Sadly, it happened. But, my tribute video fa you, which gon be re-done, has 147,177 views, now! This was tha link to tha original one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bnHi41kK0w Now, lemme see what we got wit this title… >>> A Jeezy sample? Sounds pretty good wit this beat; definitely likin’ this shit! Hope I got tha real title, here… Glad you’re comin’ through wit tha tightness fa this shit! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ betta than tha 1st verse; iz that tha VL formula? You seem ta always beat your 1st verse! I think tha 3rd verse might rule ‘em all ‘cause of how gutta tha lyrics are!! Shit yea!! Keep it goin’, VL!! My Rating: 4.4
EDIT: Thanx, Google!

14. “I’m V”
What could this be about? A “rip cup” or “R.I.P.”? >>> Those times, which you were still alive, of “I’m Me”… Ooh, “Cash Money” censored; interestin’ concept!! Prolly only you would think of censorin’ like that! I’ll consider this an “R.I.P.,” then; hope I’m correct. Good shit on tha 1st verse, of course; you always seem ta hold it down no matter who or what you’re after! Tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ betta, once again; keep dat anger comin’! What will tha 3rd verse offer? Will it compete? Definitely likin’ tha 3rd verse, too; might as well consider it one of tha better-soundin’ verses ‘cause you give it your all wit how you deliver it! “I’m V… I’m V…!” My Rating: 4.3
EDIT: I thought tha title was “R.I.P. Cup” but it’s just “I’m V”, obviously.

15. “Wipe Me Down (Freestyle)” Feat. Snipe
Of course, always gotta stick to yourself! >>> Sounds like a gutta conversation goin’ on in tha beginning; fuck tha current Lil’ Wayne and how people do things in tha current world! LOL, here’s tha “Wipe Me Down” beat; wonder who this rapper iz on tha 1st verse? Just reheard what they said in tha beginning—which almost was hard ta hear—and it’s Snipe! Good shit; glad there’s a collaboration goin’ on, here! I like tha hook; hope I have tha correct title, once again! Very repetitive (in a good way) and consistent of a hook, lol! LOL, you just said it was “Snipe,” no less, on tha beginning of tha 2nd verse; good shit, VL! Too bad most of tha collaborations have had only two verses; you know I luv hearin’ tha collaborations but it’s all good! Yay, Ziggy on tha ending (Ziggla Tha Wiggla)!! LOL, you and Snipe rhyme wit your names, lol! My Rating: 4.4
EDIT: Thought this would be called “Get Yo Mind Right” but I’ll just title it as tha “Wipe Me Down” freestyle.

16. “We Ain’t Friends”
How you gon come through wit this shit? >>> Feelin’ this beat; somethin’ good you rappin’ on, here! Glad you comin’ through wit how people are comin’ through wit dat fake shit; all about exposin’ ‘em! I rather not expose anyone, due to it gets people like you killed, sadly; I rather keep it quiet! Tha 2nd verse iz pretty nice; I’m really feelin’ tha shit about how your “blood” and how it was “tested!” Great job wit how this 3rd verse iz soundin’; gotta luv it! “Fuck tha best rapper alive, I’ont even want dat shit;” I seem ta always agree wit you, VL! That’s how I feel: I don’t need ta be tha best; just respect me for my consistency, at least! Yes, an ending from Ziggler again, lol! My Rating: 4.3
EDIT: “We Ain’t Friends” iz this title…

17. “Gutta” Feat. Twelve A’Klok
Next up… >>> Lots of “gutta” and “colors” shit goin’ on, here; really feelin’ how you comin’ through on this beat!! Good shit comin’ from you on tha 1st verse; definitely some serious, “gutta” shit, ya dig? Must be a feature comin’ up ‘cause there’s only room fa one more verse? Yes, it iz; sounds like 12, doin’ tha damn thang on tha 2nd verse! Good shit from Twelve A’Klok, once again! Gotta keep it “gutta;” feelin’ tha fade-out in tha beat, too! My Rating: 4.3

18. “Breathe”
>>> Now, it’s time ta “breathe;” must only be a quick freestyle ‘cause tha length’s pretty short… Nice job wit how you doin’ tha damn thang, quickly! Don’t even need ta “breathe,” lol! My Rating: 4.1

19. Perv Outro
I don’t think I heard it anywhere, unfortunately… My Rating: N/A

Overall: LOL, two hours on tha dot! Well, that’s ‘cause it took me a while to get tha correct titles… I thought this was a really nice mixtape put together fa VL Mike; good job, y’all at http://www.mightymuzik.com fa makin’ this happen! This’ll go down as one of VL’s classics; glad ta always be a part of showin’ him buku luv!!

Review #303: A-Mar & Dyl "Hard Times & Raw Rhymes"

Reviewed on 9.20.2009 (Review #303)

Ya boy FrankieThaLuckyDog FINALLY back up in dis bitch, ya heard me! Been pretty busy wit college, ESPECIALLY since I debuted as havin’ a DJ title yesterday on my BRAND NEW undaground Louisiana Rap radio show, “Tha Louisiana Pit”! Tha shit went REAL NICE, and now, I think we got mo where dat came from! Recently uploaded by Jimmy The DJ, here’s sum new music from A-Mar & Dyl!! It’s “Hard Times & Raw Rhymes”!! BTW, as I’m addin’ “0”’s to tha filenames (so it can recognize them in order), I see some of tha years are from 2006-2009; this must be a lil’ greatest hits thing I’m assumin’? I’m REALLY lookin’ forward ta seein’ what we got here though! Start Time: 6:33 PM | End Time: 9:01 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2009 CD Review (Review #303) reviewed on 9.20.2009 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Like This”
“This” song’s year iz labeled as 2006… Prolly sounds REAL GOOD I bet!!! >>> Good thing it’s not a jacked beat; it’s an original beat!! Just how I heard “yo swagga” in tha beginning, it reminded me of Lil’ Doonie’s song of tha same name! Tha hook sounds a lil’ like it too (even though this iz older). NICE job on tha hook, and tha 1st verse iz DEFINITELY on its shit wit tha “fulla dem pillz” shit; great shit here!! REAL NICE 1st verse from A-Mar, and tha hook just SO “jigged out!!” Dat boy Dyl on tha 2nd verse wit dat retawded-ass shit right here!! Glad they ‘bout they pill game to tha fullest!!! Great rhymes for tha 2nd verse, doin’ tha damn thang here!! Although only 2:57, it felt NICE and long ‘cause of its NICE quality wit err-thang!!! My Rating: 4.6

02. “Dumb”
LOL @ just one word in tha title. But, it even shorter this time (2:47); I KNOW it’ll still be REAL “dumb!!!” >>> Oh, we got Baton Rouge vs. Baton Rouge here! I heard “R.I.P. Nu$$ie,” so this iz definitely 2009. Back to tha BR vs. BR: It’s on tha “Dumb Way” Part 1 beat here. Dyl sounds like he doin’ a nice job on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit these nice rhymes! LOL, no hook? I heard tha hook part in tha beat, but no hook on here. Neva mind, it’s here… wit A-Mar, doin’ a nice job! I didn’t realize ‘til yesterday (when I was gettin’ my radio edits for my show) that Beat Flippa produced dis beat; REAL NICE!! I miss him. Haven’t talked ta him since Christmas 2008 (since his phone don’t work). I heard his studio equipment got stolen. Hope he shakes back ‘cause A-Mar doin’ a NICE job on tha 2nd verse wit tha Baton Rouge feel here in tha streetz! Nice job on this shit, and this time, this song felt short (unlike tha last song). Either way, I didn’t mind tha “Baton Rouge vs. Baton Rouge” on this one! My Rating: 4.2

03. “Rollin’”
Uh oh… No title. Lemme look @ tha filename… Oh, aight; I know this one (source iz DeTrane’s “Jigg City Radio Vol. 1”). LOL @ tha year error on tha file’s info as it says “2009;” it’s really ’07 if it’s from “Jigg City Radio Vol. 1”. Gonna re-review it right now ‘cause any review I did before around September 2008, I didn’t say much. Let’s see what we got ta offer this time ‘round! >>> Oh yea, rememba now wit this “Hand Clap” beat. You KNOW it sounds so much betta now that I hear all tha “bow, bow’s” and tha “for tha jiggalators” shit! Tha hook iz DEFINITELY on its shit wit tha “roll harder” pill type shit!! A-Mar REALLY “rollin’, rollin’, rollin’” on tha 1st verse here, soundin’ a lil’ like Hurricane Chris here, lol. LUVIN’ all tha pill slang lyrics here!! Glad he said tha “jaws locked” part 2x before tha verse ended!! REALLY luved tha 1st verse right there! Tha hook MEGA catchy wit tha “1 o’clock, 2 o’clock…” shit!! Let’s see what we got from Dyl on tha 2nd verse… Still comin’ through wit tha NICE pill shit! Nice job right there; you KNOW dis shit iz ROLLIN’ (ridin’ a car or rollin’ on dem pillz types of “rollin’”)!! My Current Rating: 4.6

04. “Do Somethin’” Feat. Lil’ Pado
Heard “Hood Nigga” beat in tha beginning, so this must be ’07. No info on tha iTunes file, so I checked tha filename, and it’s “Do Somethin’”. Thought it was familiar, but it didn’t come up in my iTunes, so this gon be a 1st listen. Glad there’s a feature on here ‘cause you KNOW I ALWAYS luv and anticipate those 225 dudes!!! >>> Although 225, there’s “223 me” in this, lol. Nice job from A-Mar & Dyl on tha hook; catchy shit here! Dat boy A-Mar just delivers those rhymes that are just NOT TA BE FUCKED WIT!! Nice job, and Lil’ Pado must be on tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse… He sounds like he younger than me (talkin’ ‘bout 15-18 years old?)! His lyrics were on tha Young Ready level wit tha “gunplay” shit, his flow was REAL NICE, and he just delivered dat shit wit a REAL NICE quality!! Makes you think this beat iz a Baton Rouge beat, lol! Dyl iz here this time on tha 2nd verse… He lastin’ long on this, spittin’ his hood rhymes here. Hated ’07, but this iz tha type of shit that WOULD’VE made ’07 REAL TIGHT for me if I would’ve known undaground Louisiana music back then! I get SOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous for fuckin’ wit those lames at my 1st college vs. tha REAL people in Louisiana!! Either way, Lil’ Pado held tha WHOLE song down, and it’s a DEFINITE plus here!!! My Rating: 4.5

05. “A Born Thug”
Gotta talk about it havin’ tha letter “A” in tha beginning: This tha 1st A-Mar & Dyl song I saw have an “A” in tha beginning, so that’s a plus for “A”…-Mar, lol! No year listed, so we’ll see how it iz on a 1st listen… >>> Hear a deep voice in tha sample here, so it’s DEFINITELY gonna be a REAL NICE joint!! REALLY feelin’ tha “even on birthdayz, it’s cursed dayz” shit in tha hook; REAL NICE hook!! See, now THIS iz tha lyrical shit that sounds REAL NICE!! It’s for tha streetz wit a REAL NICE beat and catchy lyrics!! A-Mar REALLY doin’ tha damn thang here!! I like tha visual of “my mama fell in luv, my daddy had a nut” ‘cause it defines tha birth of you, ya dig! Glad you were born and DOIN’ THA DAMN THANG!! You’ll ALWAYS be alive!!! GREAT/interestin’ 1st verse from you there!! Sounds like a NICE song fa my radio show! Then again, I have like x amount of songs from y’all, so there’s NO WAY y’all miss a bunch of shows! Here comes Dyl again on tha 2nd verse here, keepin’ himself up-ta-date! REAL NICE shit here!! HOPE it’s ’09!! Then, I can maybe add it to my playlist! My Rating: 4.7

06. “Macked Out”
LOL, like Supa of Down Bad? Regardless, tha length iz MUCH longer now (4:29), and it gon DEFINITELY be “macked out” ‘cause it’s 225!!! >>> LOL, a Mod Productions beat, but on tha Baton Rouge vs. Baton Rouge tip here ‘cause I know this originally as V.I.P. Da Outlaw “Out My Mind”, which he did wit D-So, and then later added ChaYsuh. Tha hook nearly sounded tha same, but I like tha otha one betta. Gotta have A-Mar on tha 1st verse, doin’ such a REAL NICE job here!! He even “’supa’ macked out,” lol (supa like Supa)! REAL NICE job wit tha purp part also before dat, deliverin’ a NICE 1st verse!! I even put in tha V.I.P. Da Outlaw review I did for “Da Windows Cloudy Vol. 1” if he knew y’all (‘cause he white). LOL, surprise on tha 2nd verse; it’s Young Ready!! No source on tha iTunes info, but he in tha filename (I should’ve checked)! Comin’ through STRONG and RAW at all times, you know!! Only 2 dayz ago marked a year since I got Young Ready’s jail letter in tha mail, which influenced my Baton Rouge connection ta expand “to tha max” (like y’all, lol)! REAL NICE job, and you KNOW tha songs ALWAYS end wit a Dyl verse, lol. Soundin’ like it really on its club shit here on this verse; great shit!! Tha “toilet bowl” “shit” (lol) towards tha end sounded REAL nice, especially when it was said a few otha times and mixed wit different terms! NICE job on this shit, although V.I.P. got tha crown fa dis one! My Rating: 4.5

07. “What U Came For (Retarded Dumb)”
A double title? I think tha filename one iz right (“What U Came For”) vs. tha mp3 info title (“Retarded Dumb”). I’m DEFINITELY lookin’ forward to these next 4 minutes, 8 seconds… *A-Mar voice* “belie’ dat!!!” >>> I’m hearin’ tha info title first, and now, it’s tha hook; they’re both back 2 back, so I’m gonna combine them. DEFINITELY a NICE beat here (who did it? No typical tag played) and GREAT hook!! Dat boy A-Mar just TOOOOOOOO GOOD on tha 1st verse, REALLY on dat shit right here!! SOOOOOOOOOOO Baton Rouge on tha 1st verse, ESPECIALLY tha endin’ wit tha “bow, bow!” You KNOW Dyl HAS ta end tha song off ‘cause A-Mar on tha 2nd verse here, lol! He keepin’ dem jiggaz a secret/hidden, so that’s DEFINITELY watz good ‘cause they can’t vanish! Still luvin’ tha Baton Rouge style in dis, as it continues ta shine! Yup, yup, yup…! You know… Dyl on tha 3rd verse, lol! This time, he sneakin’ his gat! Still jiggalatin’ though, so that’s a plus! Nice job on dis shit here! Deep in da club!! Nice fade-out in tha beat too! My Rating: 4.7

08. “At Da Same Time” Feat. Cas
It says ’07 for this one… Assumin’ it’s a jacked beat ‘cause of tha featured person; still lookin’ REAL forward!! >>> DEFINITELY a wrong guess at tha beat!! It’s ’07 style, so it ‘bout ta get CRAZY!! REAL, REAL CRAZY beat intro here that iz STILL goin’ ‘til :25!! DEFINITELY sounds like a #1 here wit tha way tha hook and CRAZINESS sounds!!!!! Who can’t like dis? It’s REAL NICE & LOUD on my boombox!!! REALLY on its gangsta shit dis time!! LOL @ tha “on tha ground like, ‘what tha fuck?!’” part, lol! TOO RAW for tha 1st verse!!! Tha 2nd verse iz here, and it’s STILL keepin’ it CRAZY!!! I seek a **PERFECT RATING** for dis one!! Oh, shit… I thought it was 4:08, but it’s 3:08. It’s A-Marless, but it STILL pulled off a 5.0!!! My Rating: 5.0

09. “Thug Life (Wild Thang)”
An ’09 song this time!! Gonna check tha title (since it’s not labeled on tha mp3 info)… Tha 3rd “thug” title for A-Mar, so this should be ANOTHA GR8 one!! >>> Sounds younger than ’09, but DEFINITELY on point here!! Back to tha Boosie voice, and back ta havin’ A-Mar on tha songs, lol! REAL NICE/catchy hook right here in tha perspective of a “thug.” ARE ANY OF THESE SONGS JUST DECENT? HELL-FUCKIN’-NO!!! They’re TOOOOOO GR8!!! Spittin’ dat RAW gangsta shit on tha 1st verse; too real, too tight!!! Iz A-Mar sayin’ “drug lane” in tha hook? If so, that’s DEFINITELY tight ta put in tha song (ESPECIALLY tha hook)!!! Yup, yup… Dyl again… on tha last verse, lol! VERY MUCH on its jiggalatin’ shit, so it’s DEFINITELY a plus here in tha streetz of BR!! REALLY inta actin’ tha “thug” here for Dyl (regardless of his P.O., laws, etc.), so that’s a plus for survival!! My Rating: 4.6

10. “I’m Like Dat” Feat. Mr. Rich
Heard a BRAND NEW soundin’ in tha beat intro for a second!! Lemme see what tha ID iz… You KNOW tha unknown gets me REAL HYPED UP!!! >>> Iz it Camp on tha beat? Not 100% on how he sounds, but I know y’all fuck wit him a lot, so he must REALLY be doin’ tha damn thang on tha beats!! A REAL NICE intro wit tha beat wit a slower type of ridin’ beat, and Dyl iz in tha beginning this time, lol! REALLY feelin’ tha drugged up rhymes in tha beginning; nice job, Dyl!! Dat must be Mr. Rich on tha next part in tha 1st verse… Soundin’ pretty good, addin’ sum gangsta lyrics to this shit, so that’s a plus! I luv ERR-BODY from tha 225!!! Gotta luv tha voices/slang/styles!!! Neva mind, Mr. Rich had tha WHOLE 1st verse; tha Dyl part in tha beginning was just tha hook. REAL NICE hook, and now, as always, we had ta have tha last verse be Dyl’s, lol!! Comin’ through wit dat gangsta/street shit here that’s tha truth!! Makin’ this anotha A-Marless song though, lol. Nice lil’ short talkin’ at tha end. My Rating: 4.4

½time: Only ½ way through dis bitch, and although it a mix of ’07-’09, it’s REAL, REAL TIGHT!!! It’s a comeback for me, and a DEFINITE plus on tha review tip!! It deserves a NICE commercial!! I should add one of my “special themes” to it! Plus, because it’s between 9.20.2009 – 9.26.2009 right now, me doin’ this review gon go in my “media diary” for Media Programming class (where I’m keepin’ track of every “media” thing I do for a whole entire week)! It’s a lotta work, but a lotta BR shit gon be in dat; “belie’ dat!!” Average CD rating iz a REAL, REAL, REAL NICE 4.6 ‘cause of how EACH & EVERY SONG IZ REAL, REAL GR8!!!

11. “’Til Da Wheels Fall Off” Feat. Cas & Lil’ Pado
Knew tha title, but when I checked it on my iTunes, I was like, “9.04.2009? That was REAL recent, lol!” That’s ‘cause it was on Jimmy The DJ’s latest mixtape, “Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 3: Point Of No Return”! Now, I get ta hear tha FULL thang, so let’s see tha whole review!! >>> That’s a NICE hook, as well as that GREAT beat too!! A-Mar lost his Boosie voice? He got a year older now. Still soundin’ REAL NICE (as always), includin’ those GREAT hood lyrics! He did a REAL NICE job on his part, and let’s see how Dyl gon spit it… Always comin’ through wit dat consistent “partner” shit (as he rolls GREAT wit A)! To Add: On tha “GG3” review, I said “’D Jackson, bring tha action on tha track’ dude produced tha next song on tha CD?” That was an error; he produced this song, and it’s GR8!! Hearin’ Lil’ Pado this time on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse, and you KNOW tha consistency continues!!! Sounded like his “wheels NEVA fell off!!” Tha 3rd verse doin’ tha damn thang, “showin’ its ass off,” on this shit! Because of tha extention, I like it a lil’ betta. I like how tha “D Jackson, bring tha action on tha track” repetitiveness followed tha hook again! My Current Rating: 4.5

12. “Bars & Apple Fanta” Feat. City Boy
Was ‘bout ta say, “anotha new ’09 song,” but NO! Back ta ’07 on this one, lol! And here comes this song ONCE again! Each time it came up in a review, its rating increased. I rememba it bein’ A-Marless, so let’s see how a full review gon look on 9.20.2009! >>> Yea, even tha beat intro gives me tha “Jigg City Radio Vol. 1” dayz when I was exposed ta A LOT of Baton Rouge!! And ta prove dat: Tha “bars” in tha title has ta do wit jiggalatin’; I got my knowledge game up! Tha 1st verse iz ALSO NICE from Dyl, doin’ tha damn thang!! REAL NICE catchy hook, and yea, glad I got exposed ta tha knowledge of tha “xanabars” and all dat good BR shit! Here dat boy City Boy on tha 2nd verse… He gettin’ ready fa sex, mixin’ in sum of dat jiggalatin’, more of dat club shit, and bam, you got a REAL NICE verse from City Boy!! Just what I wrote looks MUCH betta from my writin’ style back in Early 2008! Oh wait, afta ALMOST 2 years, lol, it’s NO LONGER A-Marless!! Plus, although it was always labeled as just Dyl, Dyl ain’t on tha last verse this time, lol! But yea, A-Mar comin’ REAL, REAL nice on dis shit right here!! TOOOO gangsta wit tha hood lyrics, hood style, great voice/flow, and ALWAYS keepin’ dis shit retawded to tha fullest!! MUCHHHH betta now!!! My Current Rating: 4.5

13. “Louisianimal”
GR8 title (as it’s also a part of tha name of my Louisiana TV show comin’ in tha far future), but SHITTY length of 1:30?!? Somebody’s –less on this song; who will it be, lol? >>> It might just be Dylless this time, lol! I couldn’t hear who was on tha track (‘cause A-Mar was talkin’ ova what he said was on tha track), but I assume it’s Camp? I like how he said “dawg” a few times in tha beginning here (heard him say dat for tha 1st time), and although it’s short, A LOT gon be written here ‘cause there’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much bein’ said wit dis FAST rappin’!!! Tha flow iz DEFINITELY great, tha lyrics are DEFINITELY great (wit mixin’ SOOOOOOOOO much gangsta, hood, smokin’, pill poppin’, street shit in it), and tha song itself iz just TOOOOOOO NICE!!! Yup, for tha 1st time, Dylless, lol! I was gonna guess that at first, but because we’ve been A-Marless multiple times on here, I thought it was gonna happen again. My Rating: 4.7

14. “Slap ‘Em In Da Face” Feat. Mookie Blakk & Cas
Ooh, looks like a REAL GOOD one iz comin’ since dat boy Mookie on dis!!! Gotta hear how y’all gon collab!!! I know dis gon be on sum REAL TIGHT jiggalatin’ vs. gangsta-fight-song shit, ya dig!! Congrats ta Mookie fa gettin’ a spin on my show last night wit his “Kickin’ In” song wit Down Bad!! >>> Mookie already said somethin’ in tha beginning. Tha beat sounds more on a quiet club style (since there izn’t much goin’ on in it unlike “At Da Same Time”). Catchy hook, and Mookie doin’ a nice job on tha 1st verse. When I hear him rap, I feel like tha raps are UNSTOPPABLE!! He raps about everything, and gets NO disrespect ANYWHERE!! LOL @ tha “put tha puzzle together like lego” part; that was nice! Tha unstoppable Mookie Blakk did a NICE job on tha 1st verse!! *Gasps* Dyl on tha NON-last verse (2nd verse), lol! I like how he included tha word “buku” in dis ‘cause you KNOW you gotta have tha BR slang in here! More gr8 rappin’ here that DOESN’T need a minus at all!! Great job on his verse, and now, tha remainin’ verse from Cas! He nearly sounds like Dyl, so I’m assumin’ he white too. Comin’ back on this CD wit tha “rollin’, rollin’, rollin’” shit! Hearin’ tha hook for tha last time, and Mookie’s “must have a boomerang…ass comes back” part in tha hook iz DEFINITELY REAL NICE!!! Sounded like this shit turned out pretty good! My Rating: 4.3

15. “When U Met Me” Feat. C Nelson & Lil’ Sav
Yes!!! More newbies!!! This should be REAL NICE!! We have our Supa Sav, and now, a Lil’ Sav, lol! >>> A much slower beat here, but hopefully, tha content can really impress me. Sounds too much like 90’s R&B or some shit… I like how it’s explicit wit tha sexual content in tha hook though. A-Mar iz startin’ off dis 1st verse, and it’s off to a nice start! Glad he had a Max Minelli quote (even soundin’ a lil’ like Max on tha flow when he referred ta Max)! Nice job on tha 1st verse right there! I thought that was tha Sav dude on tha 2nd verse, but I forgot about Dyl, lol, NOT gettin’ tha last verse, lol! Pretty good job on tha 2nd verse, so good job. Will it be Lil’ Sav on tha 3rd verse? It iz, soundin’ like a “lil’” Hurricane Chris, lol, slowed down. Aight 3rd verse, but not enough for a 4.0ish rating from me. It iz a good song ta slow thingz down though. My Rating: 3.7

16. “Bounce”
Will it be “Bounce” influenced, lol? I can’t imagine what we gon have here… >>> Sounds like it gon be a club banga based off of tha “yea, yea” shit from A-Mar. Ooh, tha beat iz kickin’ in around :13! Oh, tha hook iz here already, and it’s soundin’ pretty good; club banga! Wow, okay, VERY “jigged out” (as it’s one of y’all songs) A-Mar on tha 1st verse here, REALLY doin’ tha damn thang; STRICTLY retawded!!! Who can deny A-Mar? He just COULDN’T STOP what he was doin’ on dat 1st verse right there!! Anotha verse from A-Mar here on tha 2nd verse! Still doin’ tha damn thang, addin’ sum fresh attributes onto this verse! Only “17” wit this song? I’m guessin’ it was 2007. I think you’re 19, right? Maybe not… You just said “did a track wit Max Minelli,” so this iz at least 2008 and newer (prolly 2009) ‘cause “To The Max” had Max on it. Dyl returns to his “last verse” status on this song, lol! Referred ta T-Lo bein’ gangsta (“comin’ thru wit dat tooley”), so you KNOW it’s all luv wit tha 225 peeps! Keepin’ it gutta on tha 3rd verse, so DEFINITELY a plus fa Dyl and tha lyrics he just spit!! My Rating: 4.4

17. “Fresh Out Da Bag” Feat. Cas & Chico
You KNOW I’ll DEFINITELY like dis one based off tha ID!!! >>> Gotta luv tha Baton Rouge beat intros! Kinda short beat intro, but you KNOW tha rappin’ in tha 1st verse HAD ta come through nice! Great job on tha 1st verse, but tha hook (and tha beat in tha hook) DEFINITELY has it goin’ on!!! Here we go wit tha 2nd verse, havin’ more of a betta flow style this time!! Gr8 job on dat 2nd verse right there!! Nice job on this 3rd verse here too! Anotha “supa macked out” line, lol! Keepin’ it fresh on this joint ‘cause it (and y’all) are “fresh out da bag!” No room for A-Mar this time, lol. My Rating: 4.4

18. “This Rite Here”
What’s this long song (5:18)? Wonder why it’s so long… >>> I figured it had ta have a slow intro/beat. Actually, it’s MUCH betta than tha “When U Met Me” song!! Keepin’ it gutta in tha hook wit tha alternation of lines (A-Mar, Dyl, A-Mar, Dyl)!! Also, tha 1st verse iz here, and it’s in conversation form!! You KNOW a song iz REAL HOT when it’s based off a conversation style!!! REAL GREAT lyrics and style on this beat that fits it!! It fits it NICE ‘cause tha lyrics are REAL ear-catchin’, so you don’t really care how tha beat sounds at times! I like tha “work in my sock” part from A-Mar; you KNOW treasure iz ALWAYS hidden!! REAL NICE 1st verse, spittin’ dat HOOD shit!!! Tha hook iz just TOOOOOOOOOO tight!!! It’s NICE & LONG TOO!!! REAL NICE start to tha 2nd verse wit tha “this dat shit you get high to; roll dat purp to!” Tha conversation style went sour on tha 2nd verse as it’s ALL Dyl’s, lol! Should’ve kept tha conversation style ‘cause tha 2nd verse only hittin’ tha decent level here. It was decent ‘til tha end wit tha “spittin’ what I’m livin’ and I’m livin’ what I’m spittin’” shit; THAT was nice wit tha fastness!!! You KNOW tha 3rd verse REALLY caught my ear from A-Mar sayin’, “say, dawg!” He soundin’ REAL CATCHY wit his voice and his street life lyrics here! Yea, tha song was SO long ta where it ended wit A-Mar’s verse, and no hook, lol. If there was that GR8 hook, it prolly would’ve hit 6:00 long, but A-Mar ended it REAL GOOD wit tha cold ending, includin’ his “I’m out dis bitch” part! My Rating: 4.8

19. “To The Max” Feat. Max Minelli & VL Mike
Although it doesn’t have “remix” in tha ID, afta a lil’ while, I realized that this fits pretty much as a regular version. Tha original version didn’t have VL Mike, but because he was added onto it (wit nothin’ else changed), I feel that it fits wit just an addition. And this song fit inside only 2008 ‘cause it was when Nu$$ie was alive! Still feelin’ tha regular/good beat, includin’ dat GR8 hook!! Dyl did his thang on tha 1st verse, keepin’ those rhymes up! This goes back to tha dayz where I was able ta play artists like dis without worryin’ about anything! Now, I have ta check MySpace comments and shit on certain artists (mainly undaground ones) ta see if they real or not (if they don’t approve ‘em, they hurt reputation and shit like dat fa me). Max had a REAL NICE/anticipatin’ 2nd verse right there!! Always luv his “you know how I do it…*breaks a seal open*…fresh out tha plastic seal!!” part; too tight!! A-Mar’s lil’ 3rd verse REALLY makes it have dat BR feel, holdin’ his city down!! And tha late VL Mike did his thang on tha 4th verse, ESPECIALLY tha Jimmy The DJ shout out!! You KNOW it’s official now!! Doin’ it one last time right here, as this was his last recorded verse! He held it down and mixed GR8 here fa BR!! My Current Rating: 4.5

20. “Livin’ In Sin”
Tha last song… Looks like it gon be a lyrical title… It says “2007” as tha year, so maybe it’ll be ova a jacked beat or somethin’? Lemme see… >>> It might be, but I’m not sure. Yea, on tha lyrical side, but on tha gutta/hood side, so it ain’t borin’! Glad A-Mar’s “gettin’ high and stayin’ focused” on tha 1st verse here! It’s gr8 ta hear you spit dat you “scared of tha answer” when it comes ta when you’re goin’ ta Heaven. I hope it ain’t soon ‘cause there’s NO REASON why any of y’all should die soon!! Here comes Dyl on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through as a gangsta here, tryna survive! REALLY enjoyin’ tha hood lyrics here! Was that tha hook (‘cause I heard tha title)? Either way, Dyl iz on tha 2nd verse, STILL comin’ through wit dat gangsta shit here! 100% hood lyrics here, and they DON’T stop!! I know Dyl said “pour dis liquor…R.I.P.” or w/e it was. My question iz: How come people pour out liquor for dead people? I don’t undastand dat one. Nice job on tha hook wit tha street shit, includin’ tha quick, fade-out ending of tha last 9 seconds! My Rating: 4.4

Overall: Well, DEFINITELY a REAL NICE CD!!! Iz it even a CD, or just an online mp3 folder? I don’t know, but it DEFINITELY went down REAL GR8!!! Jimmy, you got a hard copy ta send me? I know this ain’t all they got; MORE shit finna come out HOPEFULLY real soon!!! Keep doin’ tha damn thang, and a commercial’ll be on tha way!!

Review #100: Jimmy The DJ "Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 2: Ghetto Pass (Hosted by Nu$$ie)"

Reviewed on 7.14.2008 (Review No. 100)

What tha deal iz it's yo boy FrankieThaLuckyDog. Oh my God it has been 20 dayz since I did my last review (Promo Only Dance Radio July 2008), but most reviews have been delayed on purpose. Why? 'Cause this review that I'm about to do iz gonna be my 100th review (yes, a celebration)!! I wanted to make sure it was gonna be a special CD/mixtape, so what I did was I delayed 14 CDs/mixtapes in order for me to do this review first (just so it could be tha 100th one). That's a lot to hold. I'm doin' this for my dawg Jimmy The DJ. That's right, ya better believe it had to be for someone real special (he's tha person of 2008 in my opinion). I'm gonna be reviewing his 2nd mixtape, "Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 2: Ghetto Pass (Hosted by Nu$$ie)" right now. Tha last time I reviewed his mixtape was "Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 1 (Hosted by Dee-1)" back on 11.27.2007 (it was Review No. 31). I feel like I bashed on it a lil' (due to it was a different sound that I had to get used to). I regret givin' Dee-1's "Priceless" (featuring Zella & La La) a 3.5 rating. That was only a 1st listen. Even tho it had a 3.5 rating from me, it wound up pullin' approximately (I don't have a correct number currently) 300 spins wit me in 2008!! Anything could happen after a 1st listen! And at tha time, I pretty much only knew who Lil' Boosie was on tha mixtape. Now I know a whole lot of people online, I talk to a whole bunch of people and my heart iz certified in Louisiana when it comes to a lot of thangz. I'm very glad wit tha status I have right now and I love that it keeps gettin' better!! I waited 2 weeks for this CD to get in my mailbox but somehow, it failed to happen. Stupid gay-ass mail!! Since yesterday, it got uploaded to datpiff.com so that's how I'm gonna listen to it. BTW, this iz tha 1st eva review where I'm just listening to tha CD without having it (meaning having it downloaded or having tha CD in my hand) so congrats on that. It took me approximately 2 years and 4 and a ½ months to reach my 100th review (as I started my first one back around Late February/Early March 2006). My theory iz that when I get to reach this point again (where I get to Review No. 200), I have a feeling it'll be (taking a guess) February 14, 2009. We'll see if I'm right. And before I start this thang off, lemme scratch this $1 scratch-off lottery ticket I got today. I was lucky 'cause I looked on top of tha scratch-off lottery ticket machine for lottery tickets (as I collect tha scratch-offs winners & losers) and I found a free $1 ticket. I cashed it in and got a $1 scratch-off so lemme see if I won or not… *scratches…* A bunch of shit! I lost, but w/e it was a free dollar. I bought a $20 scratch-off and I'm gonna scratch that one during tha ½time of this review. So now, without further or do, here goes my 100th review!!! Here's my review for Jimmy The DJ "Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 2: Ghetto Pass (Hosted by Nu$$ie)"!!!!!!!!!! Hope there's BANGIN' JOINTZ on here (whether I know 'em or not), SURPRISES and everything that'll make this a classic! IT'S MY MOST ANTICIPATED CD/MIXTAPE of 2008!!! I feel like "Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 1" took 0 dayz to make ('cause when I met Jimmy on Word Of South's forum on October 11, 2007, it was posted there like it was nothin') but for this one, I got to feel tha making of it (as time went on) so it's on some REAL SHIT to actually see and hear this finished product finally (I must've seen tha cover like 500 times already, lol). And now, as of 7.17.2008, I corrected some things due to I got tha CD in tha mail finally! Start Time: 6:05 PM | Video Game Playing: Blast Corps. (for Nintendo 64) (on my computer)

If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

01. Nu$$ie 2 Real
Listening right now on my music Myspace page's comments (as Jimmy left me it at 12:49 AM today—11:49 PM on 7/13/08 his time). Tha player looks real dope. Wanna hear tha 25 anticipating seconds of what Nu$$ie has to say!!!!! >>> It felt like it was short but I guess it wasn't since Dee-1's intro was like a few seconds longer on tha last one. I like it. Will prolly be replaying tha intro a lot when I listen to tha mixtape again. My Rating: N/A

02. Nu$$ie Feat. Diablo "Shakedown"
Looks familiar. Whatever this iz I'm definitely dying on hearing/re-hearing it!!! >>> It sounds very good coming outta my stereo so props on tha quality & this player. Yeah heard this. Barely remember so this iz good. Glad you wanna "swim in millions / you're tired of grands." I feel tha same way when it comes to tha scratch-offs. Yeah definitely feelin' tha Yung Joc sample from "Zoom" in tha hook. Great way to start it off. Both Nu$$ie and Diablo did they thang. Now before I rate it, I gotta check to see if I reviewed it b4 and what I rated it previously. This iz to prevent me from rating it way off… Okay just checked. I was gonna rate it 4.1 but good thing I checked to make sure. I'm gonna stick wit tha original rating I gave it, 4.3. My Rating: 4.3

03. A-Mar & Dyl Feat. Max Minelli & VL Mike "To The Max (Remix)"
I didn't look at tha ID yet. I just noticed that it was long and that it was 5 minutes, 26 seconds. I can TELL it's "To The Max (Remix)". *Checks ID* Yup, I knew it! I guess that's Error No. 1 on tha title since it's tha remix. Yes, it's a BIG difference when VL Mike (R.I.P.) iz on it! Originally, I got tha original version February 18, 2008 and premiered it that night (by pushing 2 songs, Gorilla Zoe Feat. Gucci Mane "Waddle" and Wiz Khalifa "Say Yeah", off 'til tha next dayz) due to anticipation without waiting. At first I thought it was good but a lil' too slow and somewhat plain. Tha remix, which I got 2 months and 1 week later, had a lil' flava added to it thanx to VL Mike. Once again, I always feel sorry for Jimmy and what happened to tha "To The Max (Remix)" video. It's like you got Jimmy The DJ, a VERY SPECIAL person. Then you got 4 TIGHT rappers from Louisiana, A-Mar, Dyl, Max Minelli & VL Mike. You then got tha lovely scenes of Louisiana. I can't believe it was delayed a few times and that VL Mike had to get killed (WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!). Too bad Max Minelli was a lil' too busy and that there was bad weather on April 27th. But don't worry, I'm ANTICIPATED for that new A-Mar & Dyl song/video wit Nu$$ie (which iz untitled and TBA on all tha dates for it). And yes, it's MY review so we're gonna have a moment of silence for VL Mike before I press play! *SHUTS AIR CONDITION OFF FOR DEAD SILENCE*

And for those reading, check out tha R.I.P. VL Mike video I made 2 months ago for him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bnHi41kK0w.

Now to tha review: >>> Good thing this was put as No. 3 on this mixtape 'cause it's another great opening track for this mixtape! This has been gettin' a whole lot of luv from me on Youtube as a ton of people ask me for tha mp3 (as tha original iz featured as tha "Song Of Tha Month" for my "Favorite Rap and R&B Songs of Febraury 2008" video and this remix iz featured in my "Favorite Rap and R&B Songs of April 2008" video). Tha hook of course iz tight and Dyl did his thang on tha 1st verse. Max Minelli iz a beast on his verse (tha 2nd one). I always love tha line where he says "you know how I do it,--*sound effect of a seal breaking*--fresh out tha plastic seal!" No offense to Lil' Boosie but when I hear A-Mar's voice, I feel like he's more able for tha voice than Lil' Boosie. I hear a lot more of A-Mar from that voice so that's what I expect and I like it. Great verse by A-Mar as usual (tha 3rd verse). VL Mike did his thang. I have a question: At 4:06, it sounds like VL Mike iz refering to Jimmy The DJ… Iz that true? He says "Minelli & Jimmy holla'd, told ya'll I was tha one to get." Oh yeah can't also forget about sayin' this: this was VL Mike's last verse eva recorded. Now PEOPLE KNOW TO HOLLA AT A-Mar & Dyl for that!! That's what I said!! My Current Rating: 4.5

04. Kevin Gates Feat. Lil' Boosie "Get In The Way (Remix)"
Lol… Now this says "remix". Kevin Gates actually wrote me on June 10th saying "how can I get on that mixtape?" I gave him tha info to get onto it and what do you know… he's on this one!! Not sure if that was planned before June 10th but either way, you know my anticipation iz sky-high for Kevin Gates and Lil' Boosie!!! >>> Oh yeah, first brand spankin' new song for me!! Hook sounds like a Reggae/Elephant Man type of hook… weird… Oh him coming on tha 1st verse makes me notice that voice!! I ranked "Game In Stiches" featuring Yung Sicka my favorite song on Big Jay's "Pyrex Radio Vol. 4: From Crumbz 2 Brickz" mixtape. I'm glad you "might as well sag your pants." I think "saggin'" iz a cool thing. I actually dislike it on me sometimes 'cause either my pants fall all off (yeah, I'll show my ass, lol) or it's way too tight. Definitely felt Kevin Gates's verse and Lil' Boosie's was REAL TIGHT. Lol @ me talkin' about Boosie on tha "To The Max (Remix)" and all of a sudden, he's on tha next joint (this) (especially after A-Mar, lol—I think that happened on tha last "Gangsta Gumbo" too, lol). 3rd verse was okay. Real glad you ended tha song wit tha "saggin'" part again. Minus tha Reggae sounding, this was tight. My Rating: 4.3

05. Lil' Josh & Ernest Feat. Hurricane Chris "Jigga Juice (Remix)"
I'm in tha mood to do this so I'm gonna do it… *BLIND REVIEW*!! I'm NOT lookin' at No. 5 while it plays so I know no info of it 'til it ends!! Let's see what happens!! >>> OMG *passes out and laughs*!! This song. Ha ha ha!! I had to look at it now 'cause I know what it iz. Gonna have to redo tha *BLIND REVIEW* later on here. So was this tha exclusive Hurricane Chris song/feature (as mentioned a very long time ago)? If so, I'll always remember where it came from first: Jimmy The DJ's mouth (not Music Choice Rap or Hot 97 in New York)! MTV Jams ain't got this yet… What are they doin'? Glad it's gettin' some mainstreamness out in tha world. I like how it sounds real fast and I always like tha "and like a Power Ranger, I'm 'bout to power up. I'm 'bout to transform…" Oh yeah, Music Choice Hip-Hop And R&B got this like last week and it censors "retarded." SMH… I like tha part "flyer than a kite / ridin' like a bike" that Hurricane Chris said (and tha way he said it). And speakin' of a title wit "juice" in it, I like titles wit "juice" in them 'cause earlier this year, starting February 19, 2008, I got real cool wit this dude Juice from my college. He had premiered some new music at times when I would hang out wit him (one being tha HOTTEST/HARDEST/BEST song/underground song/Rap song of 2008: "Bossman" by Joey Jihad & Meek Mill that I have played over 500 times (record setting and still goin')). I even discovered a song on tha Word Of South forum called "Get Rite Juice" by Kane & Abel Feat. 5th Ward Weebie & PNC 4 months ago. None of my sources (MTV, MTV2, MTV Jams, New York's Hot 97, CT's Hot 93.7 and Music Choice are my Urban sources) got that song and it was REAL TIGHT (still iz). I actually like it a WHOLE LOT better than "Jigga Juice". My Rating: 4.1

06. Dee-1 "I Hate Money"
I thought it said "One Man Army" for a sec. Then I saw Dee-1 and "Rebirth" clicked in for a sec. It's this (good). Got a spin on Alex McConduit's "The Hip-Hop Spot with Alex McConduit" show back on May 28, 2008 when Dee-1 visited tha show (along wit a bunch other songs of Dee-1's—YES, IF ANYONE's READING THIS, HOLLA AT Alex McConduit if you're in Louisiana!! His shows are broadcasted from New Orleans, LA and they broadcast online at http://www.crescentcityradio.com and you could be on tha show!!! Even I got a spin on his boy Big Money Matt's "The Tuesday Night Throwdown" show on July 1st (my song "Who I Am")). Anyway, time for another listen to this INTERESTING song of Dee-1's. Even when Dee-1 was on tha show, he was like "my father iz a workaholic." Well Dee-1, my dad iz tha same way. That's why he's very unreliable about doing things for me (mainly on time) as he works 2 jobs (3 in tha Summer) and works like 12 hours a day at least. I think we need to stick this song into my dad's ears and make him put his family (ESPECIALLY his kids like me) over money!!! >>> Oh yeah Dee-1, congrats on tha 2,500+ copies sold of your "I Am Who I Am" mixtape! Oh and this sounds great on here! Great pick for this mixtape! Great beat, very good lyrics and great flowing too! That whole 1st verse was explained on tha interview Dee-1 had wit Alex McConduit when he went to Alex's show (which I ripped tha WHOLE interview; 1 hour and 7 and a ½ minutes long)! I hear now that you talked about your dad in tha 2nd verse. I also heard your cousin got locked up before you talked about your dad. Really, why tha fuck would anyone steal money? I feel great wit tha money I have. I have like $600 right now and it'll take me like a ½ year to get rid of it. Most of tha time when it's Christmas, I have like no money left (mainly 'cause my birthday iz June 21st). *Checks for rating* I gave it a 4.3 but I feel it needs to have a higher rating. My Current Rating: 4.6

07. C-Murder Feat. Young Ready "Cock, Aim, Shoot"
Wow I'm 53 minutes into tha review and I only reviewed 6 songs so far, lol. That's good 'cause Jimmy The DJ needs EVERY WORD and EVERY SECOND of me for this (as well as tha artists on here)! Speaking of Alex McConduit's show, when tha Chopper City Boyz came thru (who Jimmy and I talked to as well) on July 2, 2008 (R.I.P. to VL Mike again), an hour before they came thru, C-Murder called in and had an interview on tha phone for 7 minutes and 17 seconds (I have it ripped). It was great, as well as tha Chopper City Boyz in tha studio! Oh and you know I have anticipation drippin' off my hands for this right here! Its got Young Ready on it (FREE Young Ready ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and C-Murder doesn't play games so DEFINITELY "gangsta" wit that title for this "Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 2" (LUCKY No. 7)!!! >>> I so didn't expect that West Coast type of beat/feel. Really feelin' that and tha hook! OMG Young Ready iz on FUCKIN' FIRE on tha 1st verse!!!!! Last "Gangsta Gumbo" CD, B-Raw & Gutta had tha 7th joint on there (which was my favorite on a 1st listen). This iz just as good!! I can see Music Choice Rap playin' this. I hope they don't ignore it. C'mon, it's a C-Murder joint. And C-Murder did his thang on tha 2nd verse! Yeah C-Murder, "tha N.O. in tha house!!" Well I guess Jimmy The DJ puts a REAL HOT joint at No. 7 on tha CD on purpose 'cause he did it again! Currently my favorite on this mixtape (can it last?)! My Rating: 4.8

08. Max Minelli "My Boi"
Another person from tha mixtape cover!! Lol!! Who didn't get played yet that was on tha cover… *checks*… Everyone of them got played on here already! Good way to fire up tha mixtape! Not sure if I heard before, but you know I gotta hear Max!! And I had to eat somethin' real quick, so I took a few minutes of a break. I only ate 3 oreos. I would've had more but I really wanna get back into this review! >>> Good start. Yeah, Max Minelli iz "my boi." Yeah heard this but glad it's on here too 'cause it sounds good on this mixtape! Yeah Max, you're "gonna get a nice check back." Tha whole song sounds good, especially tha 2nd verse. Real tight 2nd verse. Speaking of gettin' cake, I'm gonna start chargin' people (mainly people I don't know) $10 for a review that I would do for them. Sounds like it will be a good start for me. *Checks for rating* I thought for a sec this was on "The Remedy", but no, Jimmy The DJ went a better route and chose a joint that was featured on "Max Pain 2 (The Rise Of Max Pain)". Good job. I'm gonna keep tha rating I had originally, 4.3. Oh and once again, I thank Max Minelli so much for writing back to me on Myspace a month and a ½ ago when I sent him my review for his "The Remedy" CD. He really liked it. My Rating: 4.3

09. One-i & Jayroc Feat. Lil' Cali "Big Deal"
Okay my boy One-i and his boy Jayroc and Lil' Cali on this. Not sure if I know it, but we'll see what comes outta it. >>> Great start. Love that beat. Don't think I heard. It's hella tight!! Real "white rap" right here (unlike fake wiggers that randomly roam on Youtube and that live up where I live in shitty-ass Northeast PA). 2nd verse sounds like Nu$ie a lil'. I liked that "yeehhhan!!!" (or howeva you spell it) at tha end of tha verse (imitating a car noise). 3rd verse from One-i was great too. Very good joint for somethin' I had no anticipation for!! My Rating: 4.6

10. The Black Kadafi "Tin Man"
Ooh first one that's a 100% newbie! It took me up to No. 10 to hear somebody new so that means I discovered a WHOLE LOT since "Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 1"!! This looks interesting and if I'm gonna take a guess, he's tryin' to be tha "tin man" by shittin' on everyone else when it comes to rappin'/trappin'? Just a guess, but I'll find out now wit anticipation! >>> Lol @ "pussy scarecrow." Good start so far. Gettin' interested in hearing more! Okay I was wrong about guessin' tha title's definition. Good hook tho. Definitely like it!! Yes this shit iz hard and I like this shit. Tha beat iz nice and dark and just tha new sound for me iz great. Great 1st listen! I'll make sure I'll always play it whenever I get tha chance!! My Rating: 4.4

11. Big Gill (of Already Ent.) Feat. Sam I Am & Street Official "Jack Rabbit"
I'm gonna like it by tha looks of tha ID and title!! >>> Lol @ tha "bad habits" only 'cause that's like Big Money Matt & Alex McConduit's favorite thing to say on their shows: "BAD HABITS!!!" Sounds good. This iz tha 2nd time I'm hearin' Sam I Am on somethin' and once again he's aceing it!! Tha 1st joint I heard from him was "Like Dat" from tha "Pyrex Radio Vol. 4: From Crumbz 2 Brickz" mixtape. He's got a nice Bone Crusher type of feel! It's like where Bone Crusher left off, so I'm glad he picked up Bone Crusher's crown and followed his path. Okay I hear someone different on tha 3rd verse. That must be Street Official I'm guessing. I guess tha " & " symbol didn't come out in tha ID on tha Dat Piff player (if it was labeled wit that symbol instead of tha word "and"). Not bad, but Sam I Am of course made this real hot. Good feel once again on tha beat and tha hook! My Rating: 4.2

12. Nu$$ie Speaks
29 second skit. I didn't look at who was doin' it, but I'm gonna guess Jimmy The DJ 'cause of him bein' No. 12 on tha "Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 1" as well! I HOPE IT'S JIMMY THE DJ!!! *Checks ID* Nope it's Nu$$ie again. Love skits (especially from Louisiana people) so let's hear Nu$$ie again!! >>> Good job on that info! That's right "The Champ Iz Here" iz out now and here's my review for it: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...ogID=398001752 My Rating: N/A

½time: Perfect so far! I love every single joint and I hope it keeps up! Now somethin' I've been really anticipating… I mentioned it in tha beginning… my $20 scratch-off I bought earlier! I didn't even look at what number tha ticket was, so lemme see it… I'm gonna guess it's No. 009 for some reason. *Checks* … Nope, it was No. 027 (lol @ tha Lil' Wayne birthday (9 as my guess, 27 for tha real number)). That means this iz tha 3rd ticket in tha roll of $20 tickets (I bought a Monopoly). Very high anticipation and I don't think I'm gonna win (lol) 'cause this mixtape iz OFF THA CHAIN (sometimes if I'm havin' a bad day wit tha music business or music itself and/or people I talk to, then I think I have luck wit lottery tickets). Here I go scratchin' it! *$tart$ $cratchin'!!!* … No bonus (shit)… Shit, I needed to match a 4, 18, 8, 38, 27 or a 9 and I got a 37 (thinkin' I won)! Aight I'm ½ way through and nothin' yet… *Sigh* Only 5 numbers left… Figures, I was right. I lost. Well, at least there's this HOT mixtape! At least somethin' iz RIGHT right now (tha mixtape). It would've been a whole lot of fun writing that I won in this review, but whateva. It's No. 13 on tha mixtape so now I finna get into it!!

13. Nu$$ie Feat. Skull Duggrey, Bro Bro & Diablo "Dumb Way 2"
No error here. In fact, there's an error on "The Champ Iz Here" since it says "Dumway 2" (without tha "b" and tha spacing). Gonna re-hear and get another good feeling! >>> Oh yeah forgot tha original was on "Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 1". Good way to have tha sequel on here! Nu$$ie came thru HARD wit all those "*insert words here* in this biiitch!" lines!!! This joint must be goin' crazy in Louisiana! For any song that makes anyone "go dumb", you know it gon knock HARD in Louisiana! This definitely stays consistant all tha way 'round. *Compares ratings* Originally had a 4.0 rating. I feel a lil' better for this so a lil' boost iz gonna come outta me. My Rating: 4.2

14. Konfo Feat. Pikasso "Let 'Em Lay"
Another brand new one for me. Let's see if it's as good as "Tin Man"! >>> A lil' gangsta wit tha "spill my drink, tha trigger'll go" line. I like that line on tha "gangsta" tip but that won't be me in any way at all in real life. That's not an error on tha ID iz it? Only 'cause he's sayin' "confidence" (where it could be "Konfodence" as his name--EDIT: it's not an error). But this was tight. Good beat but I can't say that I love it already. My Rating: 3.9

15. B-Raw "Nutcase"
Gave B-Raw feedback on his Myspace when he first posted this. Now I can't wait to give it tha official review! I'm showin' a lot of luv to my dawg B-Raw by helpin' him out. I created a Youtube page for him on my birthday this year and wheneva he sends me video clips of him, I'll make a music video for him (I have a feeling it'll be this song and I didn't even re-hear it yet, but that's just a future guess). Well he's teamin' up wit Gutta again so I'm expectin' this song to act a "nut case"!!! >>> Tha fade in part kinda confused me but now here we go wit that BANGIN' BEAT (like tha one in "Parking Lot 2 Picture Booth")!!! Good it's not fuckin' 3 minutes (like most jointz on here)! It's 4 minutes, 3 seconds!! Tha hook iz too tight (wit that "can't give me a Tylenol" line). Tha 1st verse was REAL! Tight!! It's 8:10 PM right now (Jimmy knows what that represents)! Perfect timing 'cause of this HOT joint!! I like tha "Savage water" line. WHY IZ IT ENDING?!? Gonna tie tha rating wit that other song (tha C-Murder/Young Ready one) I rated tha best. We'll see who wins at tha end! My Rating: 4.8

16. JD Killa "N.O."
We're at No. 16 (tha one I have a lot of faith for) and I heard tha first millisecond of it. It was tha "Dey Know" beat. Without lookin' at tha ID, I'm gonna guess this iz "D.E.E.1.W.I.L.L.N.O.T.L.O.S.E." If it iz, those songs I rated 4.8 might not have a chance anymore… Uh oh!! *Checks ID* I'm WRONG, lol!! It's JD Killa (who I think iz supposed to holla at me in tha future). BTW, tha "Red Bandana" joint was tight. I know I didn't rate it at least a 4.0 rating on my review but I do love it. That was only a 1st listen. We'll see how he does on this GREAT jacked beat in 2.5 minutes! >>> He said "Crescent City." That's REALLY watz good! Shout out to Alex McConduit and Crescent City Radio & Big Boot Radio! 1st verse was pretty good but I do love tha way tha hook iz "N.O.'d"! Yeah I agree, you are "dat nigga" (BTW, I didn't say tha "n" word. I only quoted it to agree wit what JD Killa said). Lol @ you "droppin' your nuts on your sister." Good job on that boi! You passed my test! My Rating: 4.4

17. Baby L's "Pop It Off"
I think I'm readin' tha ID right… Baby L's? Sounds right (since an "l" iz a blunt (lol @ tha way I wrote tha letter; it looks like one, lol). It says "Baby L" on tha CD but "Baby L's" on his Myspace/Dat Piff player. Can't say it's an error now, but let's see how this gon pop off in tha short 2 minutes, 17 seconds! >>> Good start. I was right about tha name. They sound like a mix of random underground internet rappers mixed wit Curren$y. I like tha "dawg" parts (I always really like when rappers say "dawg"). "Push weight faster than a pipe line." That was a nice line! As soon as I was slowly gettin' more into it, it ended. Too short. My Rating: 4.1

18. Jeanisis Model Ms. Juicci
A model on here. Let's hear what he/she has to say. >>> It's a girl. She sounded hot, especially wit that echoing. My Rating: N/A

19. Lil' Doonie Feat. K-9 "Yo Swagger"
Aight lemme try this again. I'm NOT lookin' at tha ID. I see that it's 4 minutes flat but that's it. Hope it's HOT and I HOPE I don't know it! *BLIND REVIEW* >>> Another failed attempt at a *BLIND REVIEW*, lol! It unexpectically iz this so my heart iz racing (in a good way) a lil' 'cause it's Doonie!! That's Error No. 2 'cause it's Lil' Doonie (not just Doonie). No offense, but this had its time on my playlist. "To The Max (Remix)" also had its time due to video change-up and "Priceless (Remix)" had its time due to how long I've had it and new single that's pushin', "Rebirth". Anyway, my playlist has been not able to stable right (due to I haven't been goin' anywhere at all due to I'm not in college right now) so it's very hard to give "quality spins" out on my playlist. This actually was tha official last "lunch song" I played at Lackawanna college (on April 28, 2008). A "lunch song" happens when I eat my lunch at tha college. While I'm eating, I put a song on repeat while I eat. This iz to prevent me from eating & playing wit my iPod at tha same time (so it doesn't get dirty). But I had to drop a lot of songs I had gotten in tha Winter and tha Spring in order for newer ones to come in. Don't worry tho Doonie. Within tha time I was playin' "Yo Swagger", I beasted on it (as I gave it at least 70 spins on my iPod so fast) and it hit No. 1 on my Top 10 Countdown a few times in May. Also, I featured this joint in my "Favorite Rap and R&B Songs of April 2008" video. On wit tha song: I do like how Doonie said "tha black 'bauds saggin'." I'm rockin' a red/yellow/black/blue polo wit blue girbaud shorts that have red straps and white letters. Either way, any song about "swag" iz always gon be real tight and Doonie has a classic street anthem on his hands right here. Tha beat iz real tight and Doonie, your "under 18" deep voice pays off. I'm gonna keep tha original rating I had for it. My Current Rating: 4.7

Intermission: Music Choice Rap just got a new C-Murder joint, lol (speaking of which). They didn't get tha TIGHT JOINT on this mixtape but they got tha joint "So Fresh" featuring Detroit.

20. Sleep Feat. Big Gill, Kuale Boy, Dre Deuce & Payback "Watch Me Maneuver"
Aight I'm gonna keep doin' this until it works. Here goes Attempt No. 3 at tha *BLIND REVIEW*! Not lookin' at tha ID as I get ready to play this joint! >>> Okay I don't know it (yes) and it sounds like a fast beat! Vocals sound kinda quiet (like it was for tha females). Okay I hear a certain sound comin' from tha beat. I like that. It sounds like a game show sound! Lol @ "not tha octopus." I guess you're strong to be up "3 dayz straight" and "don't need no rest." I'm tryin' to stay up for 24 hours straight for tha 1st time, but it ain't workin'. Lemme guess, this joint iz called "Maneuver"? Well, tha *BLIND REVIEW* worked but I think this iz my least rated song so far. Tha 2nd verse was good but it didn't get me in tha special mood like most of tha other songs did. I don't know if it was because of me not knowing who it was, but I don't think it was that. I still like this tho. My Rating: 3.6
EDIT: Time to check tha ID. Let's see it… *Checks ID* … Oh I was 1/3 right about tha title and it wound up being this: Sleep Feat. Big Gill, Kliale Boy, Dre Deuse & Payback "Watch Me Maneuver". Izn't his name Sleepy and that spelling looks weird for Dre Deuse (then again, that spelling iz prolly right--EDIT: I fixed tha spelling tha way it should look 'cause tha Dat Piff player looked all stupid (I bolded what it looked like when I first saw it)).

21. Lil' Yella Feat. Lil' Boosie "Chainz"
I heard Lil' Yella once or twice (thanx to DeTrane) but now here comes tha anticipation!! Definitely high anticipation on tha collaboration!! >>> Lil' Yella sounds good and that beat iz tha usual good sound. Yeah "make it rain diamonds." That's different and I like it. Ooh look DJ Scotty K Feat. Knockhopper "Goodnight Tonight" just came on Music Choice Dance!!! This joint must be real lucky then if it can lure that song out (which came out last October, neva lost any quality wit me and scored over 400 spins wit me)!! VERY GOOD JOB!! REALLY LOOKIN' FORWARD to tha rest of this, including tha Lil' Boosie joint (oh now that that's playin' on Music Choice Dance, it feels like I'm typing 100 words per minute unlike my usual 94 words per minute)! Lil' Boosie did his thang and I definitely like this collabo!! Great job and tha hook just gets you in tha mood for Louisiana Rap music!! My Rating: 4.2

22. DJ Southpaw & Rackley "No Better Than This"
Looks like Jimmy The DJ retreated for a sec and let DJ Southpaw on. Not sure what to expect. Maybe I'll be shocked! >>> Almost thought that was "I'm 'Bout Money" beat in tha beginning but it's not. I like tha beat so far. Tha vocals definitely sound like someone randomly online. That hook iz real catchy. This sounds nice. Definitely good underground music right here. My Rating: 4.1
EDIT: Just to tell you, I love this one now! My rating could've been at least 0.5 points higher!!

23. Nu$$ie "Outro"
It's over? Let's see what Nu$$ie's gotta say… >>> Holy shit how did I not have any anticipation for this? CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why? 'Cause Nu$$ie shouted me out! DEFINITELY 'preciate that to tha FULLEST!!!!! I knew he was gonna do that (from a while back) but I didn't remember when I was reviewing this 'til I started playin' this outro. I remembered. BTW, tha beginning of this outro sounded good 'cause it sounded like you were rappin'. Good info and very good job wit mentioning me! Also gotta mention a quote I made up for myself: "I may be from Long Island, NY and I may live in Northeast PA, but my heart, especially for tha music bu$ine$$, lives in… Louisiana!" My Rating: N/A

24. Nu$$ie Feat. Savage "They Hate My"
It's NOT OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I see a No. 25 song also so we'll see what that iz! LOVE THIS one so expect at least a 4.8 rating!!! >>> "Savage on tha beat!" That beat iz TOOOOOOOOOOOO FUCKIN' HOT!!! That hook iz TOOO HOT!!! People just hatin' on Nu$$ie and it's fuckin' gay how there's haterz. Trust me, people from my college hate on me (especially when we're out of college). They think "oh because Frankie doesn't play a sport, he ain't nothin'." So yeah, definitely feelin' this (especially in my case). Wow I'm 3 WHOPPING HOURS into this review!!! Sorry Dee-1, but you lost tha record for longest review (I don't think you should be too upset since it's ya boy Jimmy that broke it and that you're on here anyway). One thing I LOVE about this Savage beat iz that it's CONSISTANTLY REPETITIVE and doesn't get boring! Nu$$ie + this beat = just as good as tha $500 scratch-off winner I got on June 23, 2008! Great rhymes, flowin' and tha beat! Nu$$ie takes anything and does a track tha RIGHT (or should I say tha DUMB) WAY!!! My Current Rating: 4.8

25. Dee-1 Feat. Mal, Tyrel & The Rebirth Brass Band "Rebirth"
It's either a Nu$ie or Dee-1 song 'cause I might've peeked when I was lookin' to see how many tracks were left. Gonna look at tha ID… *Checks ID* … Oh it's Dee-1 and tha "Rebirth" song along wit tha crew!! Great ending song!! *Goes and gets dinner, fishsticks that I'm not alergic to that don't give me flem*… Such a New Orleans anthem right here! >>> That's cool that your grandpa "has a pair of girbauds." I just love that band in this and this joint iz just crazy! Can't wait for it to really pop off on that promotion tip!! Great verses and great joint! Can't wait for all tha moments (especially wit me) to pop off wit this joint! My Current Rating: 4.6

Overall: End Time: 9:19 PM. It took me 3 hours and 14 minutes to review this right here (mainly 'cause I pretty much put my all into every track/skit on here). A huge improvement from "Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 1" and DEFINITELY a classic right here!!! I'm glad to have my name featured in it and I must say that all day, err-day, Louisiana >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lackawanna College. I say that 'cause look at this: Nu$$ie, who I don't even know in person and NEVA talked to online/on tha phone (I talk to his manager A1 a lot tho), shouted me out, while a few of tha so called "spick-ass-fags" at my college who I've talked to in person at once won't even write me back when I write them. I think it's 'cause I'm a "nothin'" to them and I mean a whole lot to Louisiana and tha music bu$ine$$. I'm a "nothin'" to them 'cause I choose not to catch and transfer a meesly fuckin' lil' football and instead choose to take 3+ hours out of my time to type this 13-14 page review. *Unexpected intermission* I guess I'm in a rush to call you 'cause I only had 3 fishsticks left and I wound up choking on one. It was actually, statistically, tha worst choking moment I had. Shit, fuckin' water was comin' out my eyes and some shit out my nose. It was stupid (or should I say "retarded"). But once again, VERY GOOD mixtape! 3 surprises happened (unexpectically havin' "Yo Swagger" come on (I knew Doonie was on here tho), "Goodnight Tonight" coming on Music Choice Dance and Nu$$ie shouting me out when I didn't expect for a second). Too bad tha $20 scratch-off was a loser. I expected that to be tha big surprise, lol. And tha stupid choking too. Well, it's a 3-way tie for tha best song on here (since I rated 3 songs wit a 4.8 rating (which was tha highest on here)). Let's see what's my favorite:

Rankings (according to ratings):

21. Sleep Feat. Big Gill, Kuale Boy, Dre Deuce & Payback "Watch Me Maneuver" 3.6
20. Konfo Feat. Pikasso "Let 'Em Lay" 3.9

17. Baby L's "Pop It Off" 4.1
16. Nu$$ie Feat. Skull Duggrey, Bro Bro & Diablo "Dumb Way 2" 4.2
15. Lil' Yella Feat. Lil' Boosie "Chainz" 4.2
14. Big Gill (of Already Ent.) Feat. Sam I Am & Street Official "Jack Rabbit" 4.2
13. Nu$$ie Feat. Diablo "Shakedown" 4.3
12. Max Minelli "My Boi" 4.3
11. Kevin Gates Feat. Lil' Boosie "Get In The Way (Remix)" 4.3
10. JD Killa "N.O." 4.4
09. The Black Kadafi "Tin Man" 4.4
08. A-Mar & Dyl Feat. Max Minelli & VL Mike "To The Max (Remix)" 4.5
07. Dee-1 "I Hate Money" 4.6

05. One-i & Jayroc Feat. Lil' Cali "Big Deal" 4.6
04. Lil' Doonie Feat. K-9 "Yo Swagger" 4.7
03. C-Murder Feat. Young Ready "Cock, Aim, Shoot" 4.8
02. B-Raw "Nutcase" 4.8
01. Nu$$ie Feat. Savage "They Hate My" 4.8

What I did to determine who would get my official favorite spot was I looked at what I was gonna rate each song before I gave my real rating. Originally, I wanted to give "Cock, Aim, Shoot" and "Nut Case" a 4.7 each and "They Hate My" I almost gave a 4.9 so I gave it to Nu$$ie. Either way, this iz DEFINITELY better than "Tha Carter III" and HAS a Louisiana feel and HAS a gutta feel and HAS a lot more HIGHER ratings from me! I do like "Tha Carter III", but it was missing those first 2 things I said (tha feel and tha guttaness). Once again, I'm gonna tell Alex McConduit about you comin' to tha show and promoting this "Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 2" mixtape. I also hope you get to meet and talk to Famous Stranger (that rapper from New Orleans, LA) I told you about on your blog. And did I miss anything… uh… Tha old record for longest review was set on March 31, 2008. It was Dee-1's "I Am Who I Am" mixtape. I typed 11 pages and tha review lasted 2 hours, 43 minutes. This turned out to be 13.5 pages and lasted 3 hours, 14 minutes! Congrats! You deserve it (especially since you're tha BEST FUCKIN' PERSON IN THA MUSIC BU$INE$$)!! I'm gonna make sure I promote this on Myspaces worldwide and make sure I do anything for you. Hit me up for any favors! This DEFINITELY deserved to be my 100th review and DEFINITELY deserved to delay 14 CDs/mixtapes I had to review. Also, this iz gonna be featured in my "Favorite Rap and R&B Songs of July 2008" video under tha "CDs/Mixtapes To Go Cop" section of tha month.
