Review #1,757: Austin On Tha Track & Gee Money Pimpin' "Press Play"

Reviewed on 9.19.2017 (Review #1,757)

Keepin’ these reviewz goin’, I got one from this year: Austin On Tha Track & Gee Money Pimpin’, from tha Meter Gang (formerly known as Off Tha Meter), Press Play, courtesy of Meter Gang… Start Time: 6:27 PM | End Time: 7:09 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2017 CD Review (Review #1,757) reviewed on 9.19.2017 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Press Play”
>>> Sounds like a nice beat start from Austin, here… Hope it ain’t gon be on that wack shit like tha previous CD I just reviewed… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like fast-ass rappin’… I’ono, coulda been slower? Ain’t thank you was fast like this, Austin… Likin’ tha “on lean, on lean, on lean” part; 24 more dayz!! My Rating: 3.6

02. “Run It 2” feat. Hot Boi Nook & Shon Thang
>>> Likin’ tha beat start; sounds unique in tha beginning, especially that tha sound’s quietly in tha background… Tha hook simple but nice ova this beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds nice ta hear, here… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, here, as it flows wit tha track ta proceed with itself… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it ain’t bad, as well; I can dig it in some wayz… And, tha 4th verse ain’t bad; y’all vibin’ in a nice way, of course… My Rating: 3.8

03. “Better Than You” feat. Blammer.Santana
>>> Fuck this auto-tune bullshit; no comment! My Rating: 1.0

04. “Countin’” feat. Hot Boi Nook & Blammer.Santana
>>> Sounds a lil’ catchy but I’mma pretend it’s a guilty pleasure of bein’ gay, here, wit this money shit, on tha hook… Tha beat ain’t too bad; borderline Louisiana, borderline mainstream… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds catchy wit tha Rouge livin’, here… I’ono about tha 2nd verse, here; not inta tha “money long” bullshit and all dat… Neva do I see any “long money” headed my way, smh! I’ono, Austin, but tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ betta… My Rating: 2.8

05. “Stuntman” feat. Shon Thang & Hot Boi Nook
>>> Sounds like a catchy hook but then, tha “money” shit comes into play and I just call it a “guilty pleasure.” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds nice wit headin’ “to tha sto;” I like those times in tha Rouge… Sounds like a lot goin’ on durin’ tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse? Holy shit… I’ono, but my reaction sounds all mixed… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s decent, here… Gotta luv “Silverleaf,” too; shout out ta Sundown! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ nice, too… My Rating: 3.4

06. “187”
>>> Lemme just skip this auto-tuned bullshit… My Rating: 1.1

07. “Racked Up”
>>> Almost thought it was tha same track as tha previous one, fa a second… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it decent wit this betta-than-usual beat, here… And, Gee Money on tha 2nd verse (Pimpin’, dat iz), soundin’ decent; not-too-bad track, overall… My Rating: 3.5

08. “Drummin’” feat. Drumm Gang
>>> Sounds like a nice beat from Austin, here… A good-soundin’ hook, minus tha “money” bullshit… I’ono, I ain’t really got much ta say about this… Just sounds like a mainstream rap song, here… Tha rest of this iz ehh; no need for a comment… My Rating: 3.1

½time: A 2.8-rated CD, so far… A lil’ betta than tha previous CD, but no bangerz, at tha moment…

09. “Designer” feat. Hot Boi Nook & Shon Thang
>>> Not likin’ tha background vocals in tha beginning, so far… Almost thought I was gon skip it ‘cause it sounds gay… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad, here… Tha beat kinda ehh but not too bad… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s bleh; repetitive and nothin’ special for me, here… Tha 2nd verse ain’t anythang fa me; not feelin’ these rhymes… My Rating: 2.2

10. “Swishincash”
>>> Kinda gives me tha same vibe as tha previous track… Hearin’ tha beginning and it’s ehh… Nothin’ really poppin’ wit this one but it ain’t too bad… My Rating: 2.7

11. “Like Percy”
…Keith? >>> Sounds like random rhymes on tha 1st verse… Oh, “No Limit like Percy,” as far as Miller (Master P). Would I have bet that it was “Percy” Keith? Yeah, but I know I woulda lost ‘cause tha underrated neva win, smh! Decent lil’ track but nothin’ ta really say… My Rating: 3.2

12. “Bigpunpimpin’”
>>> Sounds like a nice beat, here; I can dig it… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad, here… Kinda diggin’ this hook, even tho it gives me a mainstream feel… And, we got tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ like a decent verse, too… My Rating: 3.7

13. “Ghost” feat. Truu, Hot Boi Nook & Shon Thang
>>> Back to tha full-on mainstream sound, here… Wanna say it’s catchy, but not for a Louisiana song; not at all! Decent lil’ hook, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s not bad; can’t really say much… Tha 2nd verse ain’t bad, here; just lettin’ this play through without sayin’ much… Tha 3rd verse ehh; don’t have anythang ta say… My Rating: 2.3

14. “Bootup” feat. Da Real Gee Money & Scotty Corleone
>>> A nice, upbeat vibe, here, but I ain’t fuckin’ wit this a-tuned 1st verse… I like tha flow and tha intensity, but too bad tha gay voice had ta fuck it up! Hearin’ tha hook and it simple; nothin’ much goin’ on wit it… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s ehh… Got Gee Money (Da Real Gee Money) on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear, at least; see what talent brings? Gotta feel what he bringin’ with a NORMAL voice! And, Mr. Cain (Scotty) on tha 4th verse, comin’ through wit some nice shit ova this beat, too! A mixed review fa me, overall, due to tha shitty-ass auto-tune! Prolly woulda been a 4.5 if there was none of dat! My Rating: 2.6

15. “Favor”
>>> Beat kinda sounds like it has a ‘90s vibe to it, mixed with tha current sounds of today… Almost thought it was gon be a lil’ decent but I’m not diggin’ tha voice on tha hook… Like, literally, I’ono what it iz with today’s music but I can barely put tha voices with tha faces, these dayz, smh… My Rating: 2.0

16. “Playa Ways”
>>> Not diggin’ tha voice in tha beginning, here… Hearin’ tha hook and, once again, it has a ‘90s vibe to it, mixed with today’s sounds… Still, y’all can do betta wit tha voices, at times… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds nice wit all these valuable items… Ick at referencin’ “Swag Surfin’”; eight years later, here we are! Much-betta reference with “25 Lighters”, at least! My Rating: 2.5

Overall: No 4.0’s, smh… Nothin’ too on-n-poppin’ wit this CD, here… Y’all gotta go back to tha old, Baton Rouge sound, not this mainstream-soundin’ shit. Other than that, keep grindin’…

Review #1,756: Off Tha Meter "Chapter 1: Only The Beginning"

Reviewed on 9.19.2017 (Review #1,756)

I was doin’ okay with tha reviewz, recently ‘til Baton Rouge producer/rapper, Austin On Tha Track, was murdered, last month. It threw my consistency off a lil’ bit and then, Da Real Gee Money got killed a month later… Finally, I think I got this, again… This and tha next two CD reviewz gon be related to those two deaths… This first one’s from two years ago and iz Off Tha Meter, or sometimes Meter Gang, Chapter 1: Only The Beginning, released on Meter Gang & Crook Muzik Music Group. Tha 2015 version of Off Tha Meter was Shon Thang, CJ Santana, DJae, Austin Rashaad, Gee Money Pimpin’ & Hot Boi Nook… Start Time: 5:40 PM | End Time: 6:10 PM

01. “TakeOva (Intro)”
>>> Likin’ tha “slime ball” noun for homie, here… In 2015, I ain’t know none of dat “slime” shit till last year, with A1 Wissel sayin’ it. That was tha 1st time I done heard it… Good intro but as far as tha beginning voice, I’ont think I gon tolerate this voice effect shit… Not diggin’ tha hook wit this “we don’t fuck around wit you broke guys” shit; not a money person, here… Sounds betta wit tha 1st verse but I gon scroll through this… Tha 2nd verse listenable, at least; can’t complain here… My Rating: 2.1

02. “I’on Trust Y’all”
>>> Austin On Tha Track track, here… How about, “And, I’on really fuck wit [this auto-tune]?” A lil’ fast-rapped 1st verse, here? Same thang wit tha 2nd verse… My Rating: 1.1

03. “I’m Da Man”
>>> I’ono, just a basic hook and beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and this too boring fa me; same rhymes from every rapper these dayz, smh… Tha 2nd verse don’t got no interest fa me, neither… My Rating: 1.3

04. “Pull Up”
>>> Not too inta this basic beat and tha hook sounds like a random, cheesy, hyped-up track… My Rating: 1.8

05. “Romantic Love”
>>> I’ono…, not really for me, here… Tha hook may sound catchy fa othaz but a Louisiana “love” track? Naw… My Rating: 1.5

06. “Real Niggas Only”
>>> I ain’t toleratin’ this slow, long, auto-tuned shit… My Rating: 1.0

07. “Over Wit”
>>> Just… boring… Smh @ tha final verse wit auto-tune! My Rating: 1.2

½time: Expected a lot betta, especially since I knew Garin (Gee Money Pimpin’) & Austin On Tha Track since 2010… Y’all were so much betta wit “Ootin’ N You Bootin’” and all dem Baton Rouge-soundin’ songs. It’s a shame how err-thang have ta sound like mainstream-soundin’ bullshit music… A 1.4-rated CD so far; really?

08. “‘Bout Dat Life” feat. Max Minelli & Lee Banks
>>> Austin track… Luckily, some effort on tha 1st verse, here, but tha auto-tune kills it on tha hook, smh; always somethin’! Shame that we’re a fuckin’ decade inta that auto-tune shit, now, and it’s still goin’?! Why?!? Only liked it for a YEAR! It’s 10, now!! Ahhhhhhhhh! Good job from Max on tha 2nd verse; at least he neva wack! Same thang wit Lee Banks! You needed a rating boost so y’all recruited them fa tha track? Good pickin’ but neva should be ova cheatin’ tha ratings! My Rating: 2.3

09. “Hol’Up”
>>> Sounds a lil’ boring wit tha hook and how y’all comin’ through wit this… Honestly, it sounds like a dried-down version of y’all tracks from ’09, ’10… A lil’ bit of a better effort on tha 1st verse wit tha “purp” and shit, at least… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, neither, surprisingly… My Rating: 2.5

10. “The Smoke Out” feat. LRG & Ronnie Rap Game
>>> Boring, dry beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad, here… Tha hook ehh… Sounds like Ty Dolla $ign, at times? Kinda icky, not sticky, lol… Tha 2nd verse ain’t bad, as well… Can’t really say much, here… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it sounds like a lil’ bit of a catchier flow, luckily… My Rating: 2.6

11. “Pound Game Tuff” feat. Lee Banks
>>> Finally, somethin’ above-average, here! Diggin’ tha upbeat beat and tha hook pretty “tuff,” here; diggin’ it! Hearin’ tha 1st verse wit Lee Banks and it’s pretty nice; great collab, too! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s decent, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit y’all on tha 3rd verse and it’s nice, too, as y’all keepin’ it movin’… A 4th verse, here? Only 3:25 on tha length but squeezin’ err-thang, here… Sounds like anotha good-soundin’ verse from tha Rouge… Nice job, Austin… My Rating: 4.2

12. “Kill It” feat. Scotty Cain
>>> Sounds like a good beat, once again, Austin. This what I wanted this CD to sound like, not tha dry, boring, mainstream, typical, brainwashed-soundin’ shit… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice; I’ll stay listenin’, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s not bad… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it soundin’ nice, too; glad there’s no wack shit, here… Tha rest of this nice ta hear, too… Also, this anotha nice collab, too; can’t complain… My Rating: 4.0

13. “Run It” feat. Spitta, Scotty Cain, Max Minelli, Deezy Cain & Ree-Up
>>> Kickin’ it off wit Spitta on tha 1st verse, here, wit an anticipatin’ beat start! See, this what y’all CD ‘pose ta sound like!! Funny how some of tha sounds every two bars sounds like B-Real’s production on “I Be Workin’” from Lil’ Cali, OJ Da Juiceman & B-Real, himself, from 2010… To me, it sounds like a sound jack but it’s still a nice lil’ track, here… Good shit from Scotty, too, holdin’ this shit down… And, of course, gotta hold it down wit Max on tha 3rd verse, too! Consistent-soundin’ 4th verse, here; definitely feelin’ tha “streetz” vibe, Deezy! And, tha 5th verse iz here and it’s soundin’ good fa da gangstaz, too… A 6th verse, here, soundin’ pretty consistent from y’all, this time; can’t complain… Tha “OTM” vibe continues wit tha 7th verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear, too… An 8th verse, here, soundin’ good, too… A 9th verse, here, endin’ it wit Ree-Up, always soundin’ good, too; great job, err-body! Austin endin’ it off wit a 10th verse, here, doin’ tha damn thang, too… Nice job endin’ this, too; instant start, instant ending! My Rating: 4.3

14. “Meter Gang (The Anthem)”
>>> Endin’ with a shitty one? C’mon! We was just finally gettin’ some good ratings… Back to typical-soundin’ beats and shitty-soundin’ vocals… Remember how I used to always think auto-tune sounded like masturbatin’ in anotha dude’s ear? Yeah, I don’t think I’m changin’ my predictions! Basically, this just sounds like an outro… Ick, a fade-out… My Rating: 1.0

Overall: Ain’t really fuck wit this CD… Way too much a-tune & tha beats weren’t all that. When I review Louisiana music, I expect Louisiana music, not sell-out music for tha mainstream…

Review #1,739: $hop With Ken "Platinum Status (Hosted by DJ Dow Jones)"

Reviewed on 7.07.2017 (Review #1,739)

Not that often do I get tha time, especially durin’ tha middle of editin’ a documentary, that I can get a CD on its release date & review it in tha same day. Lucky for Baton Rouge producer/rapper, $hop With Ken, here’s that moment! Courtesy of Forever Young Entertainment, here goes my review for his brand-new release, Platinum Status, entirely produced by Ken, himself! I have to say, I’m diggin’ tha front cover; reminds me of tha ‘90s Cash Money/Pixel graphic covers! Start Time: 6:48 PM | End Time: 7:34 PM

© 2017 CD Review (Review #1,739) reviewed on 7.07.2017 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. Lil’ Phat “Intro”
… >>> DJ Dow Jones on tha hostin’, here… Got Phat comin’ through on tha verse, here, soundin’ like some of that great music from tha Rouge, as always… My Rating: 4.2

02. C-Loc feat. Max Minelli “Can’t Be Both”
No Track #2 but goes right into #3? Just gonna consider this one #2, tho… >>> Sounds good ta hear Loc on a beat by you, Ken…; catchy lil’ hook… Just regular rappin’, here, but I like tha beat more than Loc on here, tho… I’m glad he got shit on lock, still, without agin’… Hearin’ Max on tha 2nd verse and it sounds good; nice job wit this shit, as always… Anotha dude that consistently brings tha heat without droppin’ like a fly! My Rating: 4.3

03. Lil’ Soulja Slim & Kidd Kidd “My Comitty”
504 in tha buildin’, here… >>> Sounds like a nice lil’ “[Cutthroat] Comitty”-like vibe, here, wit tha hook and you on tha beat, Ken… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from tha Lil’ Soulja and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, str8 from tha 5-0-4… Keepin’ it movin’ wit Kidd on tha 2nd verse, holdin’ it down, too… Overall, just a nice, regular-soundin’ joint, right chea… My Rating: 4.0

04. TY feat. Hot Boy Turk “‘Bout Whatever”
>>> This has more of a Cash Money feel to it and I’m likin’ it a lil’ betta than tha Lil’ Soulja Slim track… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from TY and it’s pretty nice; definitely feelin’ this vibe… Hearin’ tha hook and yeah, just luvin’ tha Cash Money vibe, once again! It’s almost as if Cash Money was an undaground secret, again, str8 from tha Internet! Keepin’ it movin’ wit Turk on tha 2nd verse, doin’ his thang, too; can’t deny it! My Rating: 4.3

05. Pat-Pat “T-Off”
>>> I like that intro from you, Ken… Hearin’ tha beat and it sounds pretty dope, so far; can’t wait ta hear…! Tha hook’s pretty tight, here, wit how dude reppin’ fa all these hoodz and shit… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like dude holdin’ shit down; for tha streetz! Sounds like a different dude on tha 2nd verse, here? Two different voices? Either way, pure Baton Rouge, undaground music at its finest, here…! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it sounds more like dude on tha 1st verse, here… Needless to say, it sounds nice, of course… My Rating: 4.4

06. $hop With Ken feat. Pat-Pat “Playin’ Wit”
Lookin’ forward to hearin’ you as tha main artist! Also, my next Louisiana trip, I gotta try and link up witchu, this time! >>> I already really like tha start wit tha beat, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds less pure than tha beat intro but still sounds like a nice lil’ track fa tha undaground… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Pat-Pat and it sounds off-beat, smh… Aight but damn, tha disappointments are gettin’ in tha way from a great intro… Talkin’ toward tha end, here… I’ono, I ain’t hear much Ken? I’ono, but this ain’t really go down like I wanted it to… My Rating: 3.2

07. Scotty Corlone & YB “Get It In”
>>> Sounds like a good verse, here, wit how Scotty be comin’ through… Nice lil’ hook from YB; a quick listen, here? I like that hook… My Rating: 4.1

08. $hop With Ken feat. Bossman JD “Favorite One”
>>> A slower track, here; sounds like a catchy hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s decent, here, holdin’ down this nice track by you, Ken… Tha rest of this nice but I can’t tell when it’s your voice, Ken… My Rating: 3.9

½time: A 4.1-rated CD, so far; nice shit, I guess? Diggin’ most of it…

09. $hop With Ken & YB “Yungin Fasho”
Familiar? >>> Sounds like a nice lil’ intro… Guess this your 2017 voice on tha 1st verse, Ken ‘cause I know what YB’s voice iz… Oh wait, I know this one; my mind somewhere else, lol… I don’t feel like lookin’ but nice job wit you on tha 1st verse, here… Also, a lil’ betta wit tha hook from YB and how he picks tha track up… My Rating: 4.3

10. $hop With Ken feat. Jus Dillon “Both Sides”
>>> A nice lil’ slow track, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s decent; not too crazy about these real-life lyrics fa this slow-ride track… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s kinda ehh… Tha “if I die before I…” and “get ya paper up” shit’s ehh fa me… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s a lil’ betta but still a lil’ random fa this kinda beat… My Rating: 3.4

11. Racked-Up Ready “Goonin’ Out Of Foreign”
Str8 from tha gravez… >>> Sounds like a catchy lil’ hook from Ready, as well as tha hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I recognize tha dude on tha 1st verse’s voice but I can’t think of who it iz… Sounds like a decent lil’ verse; kinda cocky and tha “money” shit’s startin’ ta make me feel like, bleh… Hearin’ Ready on tha 2nd verse and it sounds good, here… My Rating: 4.1

12. WNC Whop Bezzy “Don’t Start Me”
Randomly met him tha night of my birthday, despite barely knowin’ him… >>> Sounds good wit tha hyped-up vibe, here; good shit… Lol @ “shoulderless;” Frankabulary! Definitely feelin’ this club vibe; reminds me of tha night of June 21 @ tha Bella Noche! My Rating: 4.2

13. YB feat. King Joe “Get Up & Go Get It”
No King Joe on tha feature? *Listens* He’s there; smh @ not givin’ him credit! Don’t he mean somethin’ ta y’all? My Current Rating: 4.4

14. Lit BlueBlack feat. Youngster & Blac Youngsta “No Evidence”
I’ono about tha mainstream collaboration… >>> I’m likin’ how this sounds; great beat & hyped-up hook! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds pretty upbeat; good shit! Dat Baton Rouge street shit’s on tha 2nd verse, here, strictly holdin’ it down! Definitely feelin’ all dat aggression! And, tha 3rd verse sounds a lil’ too fast wit tha rappin’? Runnin’ circles through my head? My Rating: 4.3

15. $hop With Ken feat. JB & King Joe “Rocket”
Now, there’s King Joe on tha feature… >>> Nice lil’ hook, here, strictly bein’ hit wit da “rocket!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and there’s a lotta energy in this verse, right chea! Good shit from tha JB dude, here, strictly holdin’ it down! I like how he plays with Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up”’s “yeah” shit… And, we got King Joe comin’ through on tha 2nd verse, here, consistently doin’ tha damn thang on tha track! Definitely a dope collaboration, here; top-rated, surprisingly? My Rating: 4.5

16. $hop With Ken feat. VC & CLUB “Head Bust”
Ending with… >>> Nice lil’ upbeat beat ta jam to, but to also sound nice fa tha streetz… Feelin’ tha hook, here, strictly bustin’ dem headz! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice from this VC dude… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha dude on tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ a lil’ more street wit this voice, right chea… Definitely feelin’ how it’s upbeat, here… Soundin’ pretty consistent at 1:56, here! Lots of “eye”-soundin’ rhymes, here! Reminds me of tha ‘90s baby version of Percy Keith? We shall see what kinda future he gon have! And, tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ nice ta hear, here, with its street content… My Rating: 4.2

Overall: Sounds like a CD that gon feed tha streetz of BR fa a minute… Shout out to tha newbies I barely/neva heard, before! I see a future with some of these peeps/this CD; good job, Ken! Definitely one of tha best on tha beats, these dayz!

Review #1,722: "Go Tuff" Mixtape

Reviewed on 5.09.2017 (Review #1,722)

Been a lil’ minute since I did some reviewz… Got thrown off with Zoe Realla’s death, as I did a tribute video for him and then, just got caught up in tha 50-hour work week… But, here I am, finna review this mixtape I bought at Sundown. It’s a random compilation and I took a pic of tha tracklist… Here goes my review for tha Go Tuff mixtape… Start Time: 6:11 PM | End Time: 7:15 PM

01. Maintain x MFWeeThang “My Section”
This tha official 1st time I’m hearin’ Jungle Muzik Mafia’s WeeThang after meetin’ him, back on March 28, 2017! >>> Instant start, here; can’t imagine how I gon feel about all these tracks… I betcha this one #02, which tha “My Section” track. If that’s tha case, I gon review that one, here… Beat sounds nice fa tha Rouge; tha hook’s pretty nice, too… And, 1st time hearin’ WeeThang on tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ nice… At :48, we brought it back; sounds like a dope track… Once I met dude, I knew he had some sorta future, so I wish tha best of success fa him! Keepin’ it movin’ wit anotha WeeThang verse, here, soundin’ dope; good shit! Makes me wanna get back to tha Rouge ASAP! I hate that it’s $600 for a plane ticket, smh; why so much? Money ain’t an issue but why can’t it be, like, $400 or somethin’, tha most? My Rating: 4.5

02. C-Loc feat. Big Poppa & Micheal Sterling “Working These Hoes”
2013, here; a compilation? >>> Sounds like a catchy, club-like track, here, wit Loc on tha 1st verse… Loc wasn’t credited on tha back cover’s tracklist so I had to do my searchin’… Sometimes, I don’t expect club-type music from him but shit like this sounds pretty dope… Tha hook’s pretty catchy, here; good shit… Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice wit this “gumbo” he providin’… And, tha Pop on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ good, as always… I remember back in tha day, I thought he was okay, but trash. Now, it’s like, I’m glad we hear from some of these people, now-a-dayz! And, let’s see how this Micheal Sterling dude gon be on tha 4th verse… “MySpace,” huh, lol? Oh yeah, this four years ago, which “MySpace” was kinda defunct just years before… Sounds like a good contribution; nice job, y’all… My Rating: 4.3

03. Brickfare Zeke feat. Scotty Cain “Down Dat”
>>> Sounds like an interestin’, good start, here… And, we get a beat from Austin, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad, here… Of course, I feel it; diggin’ tha gangsta-soundin’, dark sound, here… Speakin’ of dark, how about last Wednesday:

Went to tha abandoned graffiti highway up here during tha night and it was dope! Tomorrow night, in honor of my brother’s death anniversary, I’m goin’ to tha abandoned Concrete City; can’t wait! Pre-shootin’ some tribute videoz & gettin’ some photos done! With tha hook, it’s definitely dope, here; good shit! Definitely feelin’ it! However, I’ono what this iz! “100 pounds, I broke it down to 100 zips;” feelin’ it! “Down That Bitch” iz this title? My Rating: 4.2
EDIT: Lil’ would I know that I’d randomly Shazam it and it’d come up! Brickfare Zeke feat. Scotty Cain “Down Dat”! This tha track that’s not on tha back cover…

04. Mista Cain feat. Scotty Cain “No Shootas”
My Current Rating: 4.4

05. Mula Pugh “Downlow”
>>> I’m really likin’ this start, whateva this iz… Sounds like some good Rouge music on tha 1st verse and tha beat from Austin, here; good shit! Tha hook sounds good; of course, gotta keep shit on tha “downlow.” Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, as they “eat that thang up fa lunch,” here; chomp, chomp! My Rating: 4.2

06. Mula Pugh “Plottin’ On Ya”
>>> I’ono how much I can feel this one… “It’s retarded, it’s retarded” beat tag, here… Not really feelin’ this voice, that much… At times, I like it but at times, it sounds annoying… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s ehh; tha voice throws me off too much… Don’t recognize this one… “People countin’ on me… They plottin’ on me…” Oh, now I recognize it… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s not bad, as well, now that I know who it iz… Still, a lil’ yada-yada-yada-yada wit this dude… Tha previous song was better, as well as tha voice… A Kevin Gates-sampled outro, here? My Rating: 3.6

07. Mula Pugh “TBH”
>>> Beat’s ehh, here… Just sounds like a regular voice, here, with nothin’ special to offer… Ugh, anotha Mula one, again? Whoeva burned this CD completely didn’t follow tha tracklist and just shoved tha same artists back to back, smh… But yeah, this worse than tha previous song; not feelin’ tha mainstream shit, here… My Rating: 2.2

08. S-8ighty feat. Lil’ Wayne “Halfway (Remix)”
Was almost like, “I know this one; why this mainstream shit on here?” Then again, I remember it soundin’ bounce-y, so I believe it’s New Orleans or somethin’… >>> Ewe!! Let’s pretend I’m deaf in both ears, right now…! Keep it in tha mainstream, not on my underground CDs! Hate how tha 2nd verse sounds like Drake, at times, even tho it Weezy! Also, clean version; really? My Rating: 1.2

09. Sheppard “Whole Week”
>>> Instant start, here; sounds pretty nice, in a way, on this hook… Not likin’ these instant starts that rewind after a few seconds… Same Sheppard as tha Lil’ Sheppard? I think so… Dude sound like he neva fell off; great to have that motivation! “Smokin’ blunts and poppin’ molly;” crazy dude! Hearin’ tha verse and it’s aight; fuck that stupid “get to tha money” shit that repeats so many times, smh! Couldn’t come up wit somethin’ else there? My Rating: 4.0

½time: Only a 3.6-rated compilation, so far; can be better! A lil’ trashy with tha mainstream-soundin’ bullshit but there’s some nice tracks on here… Let’s see what we have left…

10. T.E.C. & Maine Musik “Ain’t No Comin’ Down”
>>> Sounds dope wit that intro in tha streetz; good shit… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice; feelin’ tha Rouge shit! “It’s up there!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, strictly comin’ through on this faster beat! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, here; lots of rappin’ and a jammin’ beat, ya dig, lol…?! And, tha 3rd verse’s pretty nice, here; good shit! Rowdy endin’; lots of talkin’ wit tha crazy hook goin’ off… My Rating: 4.1

11. Thug Brothers “Go Tuff”
>>> This sounds like a dope start; dabbin’ in tha beginnin’, here? Expectin’ somethin’ dope, here!! Easily sounds like tha top song on here? Definitely feelin’ tha energy in tha beat and how dem Brothers comin’ through, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and you already know, energetic!! Damn, this 48-second intro wit tha rewindin’ again! Damn! Again, 47 seconds later, anotha rewind? I’ono, but all tha rewindin’ kinda blends in nicely wit this vibe! A crazy length of 5:52, here! Oh, finally, we have a full 1st verse! Love how dude don’t stop on tha 1st verse; “ran off on tha plug twice!” Damn…! Iz this what tha jiggaz bring, lol? Definitely lovin’ it!! So glad I finally got to see jiggaz!! Can’t deny tha 2nd verse, ya know? No matter what’s spit, it’s still nice! Funny how I mentioned jiggaz and now, y’all jiggin’! Pretty crazy, once again! And, tha ending, here, soundin’ like tha beginning, still pretty crazy! An ending, here; sounds like samples from a music video or somethin’, lol? Random rippin’? My Rating: 4.4

12. WNC “Run Up”
>>> Here comes a “Run Up, Get Done Up” track; can’t imagine who it iz… Either way, beat’s pretty nice and so iz tha hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and dude pretty energetic; a jiggalater at its finest?! This tha 1st time I’m hearin’ this dude; pretty nice, here! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, still soundin’ energetic; gotta love it! My Rating: 4.3

13. A.T.G. “Started Sumthin’”
>>> Feelin’ tha energetic intro, here; can’t wait ta hear! Shit-ton of rhymes on tha 1st verse, here; definitely feelin’ tha agility!! Now, a Baton Rouge-soundin’ beat? Did it rewind? Guess so… “Bitch, you—bitch, you—bitch, you—bitch, you shouldn’t started nothin’!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty dope; insane speed and lyrics!! Hearin’ tha rest and it’s pretty dope, too; gotta luv tha craziness! My Rating: 4.5

14. Boosie Badazz feat. Mista Cain “Big Blue Hundreds”
>>> Can tell it sounds like a Boosie track… Do I sound strange to say that I’m feelin’ this? Not my kinda title/topic but it sounds nice wit this beat and Boosie presence, I guess? I hope people don’t take this shit serious, as far as they have to carry “big blue hundreds!” Oh, here we go wit tha Mista shit on tha 2nd verse, smh… He did a nice job but how many times we gotta hear him? A Boosie verse on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice… Gonna make this a guilty pleasure rating, here… My Rating: 4.2

15. B Will feat. Boosie Badazz, Shu & J Day “Lil’ Shooter”
>>> This one’s five minutes long; here we go… Ain’t expect it to be tha Boosie track wit tha sound of this, but I had a feelin’ it was gon be two Boosie tracks, back to back… I think whoeva did tha back cover fucked this one up; this ain’t no Boosie… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad… Oh, I have tha full ID, here: B Will feat. Boosie Badazz, Shu & J Day “Lil’ Shooter”! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ a lil’ betta… Kinda luvin’ how they’re obsessed with this “shooter,” here; ain’t thank y’all fucked wit supportin’ other people! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s not bad, here; diggin’ a lil’ more of an aggressive vibe, here… Here comes Boosie at 3:44, comin’ through wit tha pure aggression… My Rating: 3.8

16. Brickfare Zeke “On Ya Head”
>>> Instant start; I’m expectin’ it to rewind, smh! Yeah, :11 in; prolly’ll happen again… Yup; let’s see what we got… Sounds like a nice hook, here, between tha beat and content… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ like he off some jiggaz or somethin’, wit this “Yaba-Daba-Doo” shit, lol… My Rating: 4.0

17. Brickfare Zeke x Scotty Cain “Stick Out”
>>> Anotha instant start…; prolly tha other Zeke track? Got La’Keith doin’ this beat; leggo! Got tha “dick out,” here, on tha hook; definitely dope and energetic, here, ya dig? Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, doin’ tha crazy thang, here… I see how tha “dick” iz used as “tha one that go up in tha glock, not tha bitch mouth,” just so y’all know! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice from Scotty, here; nothin’ much else ta say… Definitely a catchy track, right chea; y’all dope! My Rating: 4.3

18. Da Real Gee Money “Take It There”
Lol!! My Current Rating: 4.9

19. Jay Lewis feat. T.E.C., Maine Musik & Geaux Yella “Ain’t My Round”
>>> Don’t sound like a good ending… Sounds like it gon be a 1.0-rated track wit this dumb auto-tune shit… A BlaqNmilD beat, here… No interest from me wit tha 1st verse, here… Tha 2nd verse a lil’ betta but whateva… And, at 2:28, it sound like a heartbeat; why a music video on tha CD? Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s ehh; why am I commentin’ when I keep hearin’ auto-tune, smh? I have to say, this worse than tha S-8ighty track… I was right about tha rating from when I first heard tha first second of it! My Rating: 1.0

Overall: Not too bad, overall… At least there was a good mix of tha Rouge on here… Too bad some shitty mainstream-soundin’ shit had to knock tha average CD rating down…
