Broadcasting from an icy waterfall, here in Pittston, PA, it's ya boy, FrankieThaLuckyDog here, sadly reportin' anotha tragic loss in tha Louisiana rap community:
Eric Johnson, known by his stage name, Vicious, from tha rap group, X-Mob, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019, after battling complications from Stage 4 cancer in jail; he was only 51 years-old.
Johnson was from tha Lake Charles area of Louisiana. During tha early '90s, he formed tha group, X-Mob, with Bundy G & Slice, as E-Vicious. Courtesy of X-Mob Records, X-Mob released their debut album, Handlin' Thangs, in 1994. In 1995, they started releasing music under Par-Le Records and released their 2nd album, Ghetto Mail. In 1997, X-Mob's 3rd & final album, Paper Chasing, was released. In 1998, X-Mob collaborated with Cali rapper, B-Legit, and released "Nationwide", featuring Nitro, on Ruthless Records. Tha song was featured tha following year on tha Turf Stories movie soundtrack. In 2002, Johnson went on to pursue a solo career, releasing his debut solo album, I Ball Like Kobe, on Par-La Records. In 2004, he dropped two projects: Strictly For Da Streetz, Vol. 1, on Par-La Records & Walk Like A "G", on Eye 4n Eye Records & Par-La Records. In 2007, Johnson released two collaboration projects. First, teamin' up wit Lafayette's Mr. Phat for Southwest Rioters Better Getcha Mind Right, on Vicious Entertainment. Second, teamin' up wit N'awlinz rapper, Lil' Domicci, for Hurricane, Sugacane & Cocaine, Vol. 1, on GK Records, Utopia Entertainment & B.O.M. Entertainment. In 2008, Johnson released another collaboration project, this time with Houma rapper, Husaholic, Am I My Brother's Keeper, on 1008 Grams Entertainment & Vicious Entertainment. Tha Husaholic collab-project would put Johnson's career on hold, as he soon found trouble with tha law. On tha night of May 18, 2012, a 43-year-old by tha name of Ray Ryan, was murdered. Johnson was later accused of provoking tha violence that lead to Ryan's death, though charged with "inciting a riot with death," facing up to 21 years in prison. In 2016, Johnson released multiple CDs, which would be his final releases: Back 2 Tha Money: The Tale Of A Trill O.G., United Hates Of America, The Final Chapter, Underground Kingz with Yung Goldie, Straight Drop (The Mixtape), Answer 2 Da Question & Possession Wit Intent, all on Vicious Entertainment. Johnson woulda lived to see 52 if he made it to August 21.
Moments:
On October 15, 2011, during Frankie's former radio show, "Tha Louisiana Pit", X-Mob's song with Pimp C, "Good Times", would unexpectedly play a part in ruining Frankie's interest in rap music about money. An artist from Baton Rouge, who was featured on that show's episode, flashed $2,000 on camera & threw it at Frankie. A month later, on November 17, 2011, Frankie lent tha artist $500 to come back up to Pennsylvania. Tha artist wound up calling off and didn't return tha money to Frankie till October 6, 2018. Even though tha money was returned almost seven years later, tha incident left Frankie scarred, as he questioned rappers' financial lifestyles & started disliking lyrics about money.

Already
up ta my 4th review for today even though I have a lil’ bit of
allergies. :( Again, thanx fa dis,
Justin. Dis iz Lil’ Domicci “Hurricane, Sugarcane, Cocaine Vol. 2 (Hosted
by DJ Chill)”! Anotha Vol. 2 before hearin’ Vol. 1, lol. But, Vol. 1’s
on cdbaby.com and that’s a plus. This iz tha 1st time I’m hearin’
dis Thibodaux
native; let’s see how it goes! Start
Time: 1:17 PM | End Time: 2:04 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I
don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like
it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites,
I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I
love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s
considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a
5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I
listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of
tha song while I’m listening to it.
Let’s
do tha damn thang here!! >>> Nice lil’ intro introducin’ who and where he from! My Rating: N/A
02.
“War” Feat. Little
Looks
interestin’. Not a Lil’ but a Little
dude, lol. Time ta start tha trax off!! >>> Sounds real nice here; DEFINITE “Tha Louisiana Pit” music!!
Good-ass hook and beat as well as tha 1st verse soundin’ tight, too!
:tu Definitely feelin’ tha content here, hence tha title “War”, ya dig? I like
tha “Micci” shit in tha 2nd verse; “Micci” err-thang, lol! I’m
feelin’ tha “throw ya sets up” shit afta tha 3rd hook! My Rating: 4.6
03.
“Gutta Shit” Feat. Magnolia Chop
Looks
like it finna be anotha good collab! >>> Sounds a lil’ like mumblin’
in tha beginning for a while… This iz aight; I rather hear you throughout tha
whole thang, Micci… Chop’s startin’ ta sound a lil’ gay wit tha voice, now…
Good, just you on tha 2nd verse. Still an aight song… My Rating: 3.6
04.
“Streets Callin’” Feat. Loco
Iz
this Locco wit two “C”’s from Bad
Azz Ent.? Let’s see what’s up wit dis one… >>> This has a hotter sound
to tha start! “Fresh up out tha perish”; you were in jail? Consistent rappin’
here in tha 1st verse; nice job!! Tha hook’s catchy; definitely hot
shit here! Almost sounds like (I think) Skip from UTP on dis shit, hence your
label name, Utopia Entertainment, lol. I think this iz just a Loco dude that’s not
affiliated wit Boosie. Thought it was gonna be a minute outro but it’s a TIGHT
3rd verse!! Good outro wit a phone call plus tha “bruh” shit! :tu My Rating: 4.3
05.
“Out My Body” Feat. Derty
Yay!!!
Shit yea!!! >>> A blend of tha last joint inta dis one… Ooh, a Shonta
beat? Did he jack anotha one of his
beats for you or iz it bound ta happen, knowin’ him… This shit’s nice; gives me
a nice T-Lo feel here. :tu Huh, what iz this? This sounds like a completely
different song (will prolly see it later in tha tracklisting) and doesn’t sound
like Derty on tha feature… Tha hook’s definitely catchy; what iz this? Good 2nd
verse from you, doin’ tha damn thang. My
Rating: 4.3
06.
“Lil’ Momma” Feat. Foxx
Shout
out ta Foxx fa comin’ ta Shutdown Thursdays in Baton Rouge yesterday!! Let’s see what dis
gon sound like… >>> Ooh, a B-Real beat; how do you get ta talk ta him
when he ignores people? Likin’ this beat (of course) and tha hook’s definitely
catchy wit a lot ta offer fa a female-type song. LOL, tons of shit goin’ on
here in tha 1st verse; definitely enjoyin’ it! Interestin’ 2nd
verse from Foxx, doin’ his thang. “Put my penis where it go at;” ROFL? LOL, you
feelin’ good on tha 3rd verse here. My Rating: 4.4
07.
“Arm Robbery” Feat. Nu$$ie
Interestin’
collaboration… >>> Too bad it’s an “Independent” beat; I dunno if I
can slide dis on my radio show (not to play jacked beats). Tha 1st
verse iz Nu$$ie and it’s on an interestin’ tip here; good shit. I think I may
be able ta slide dis into a radio
show—specifically, my Nu$$ie Tribute Show dat I usually do. Nice 2nd
verse, too; sounds like an actual “robbery”, lol. My Rating: 4.2
½time: DEFINITELY a NICE lil’
mixtape here; good shit, my boy! So far, you’re lookin’ at a 4.2-rated
CD!
08.
“Gettin’ It How We Live” Feat. Vicious & Nu$$ie
LOL,
anotha Nu$$ie feature? Maybe dis one
can automatically enter my radio show instead? >>> Sounds good wit
Vicious in it; that’s a plus. Tha hook’s pretty nice; good shit here!
Definitely interestin’ ta have both Vicious and Nu$$ on a joint together wit
you! You’re doin’ a nice job here on tha 2nd verse, goin’ nuts, lol.
Speakin’ of Nu$$ on tha 3rd verse, most times when I go through tha
PAC at my college, I see a “DCF” license plate; sometimes I can’t resist but ta
record tha plates! Good contribution, Nu$$. My Rating: 4.3
09.
“Talkin’ Dat Shit” Feat. GMC
>>> Sounds like a good intro from DJ Chill and a nice beat together!
Tha 1st verse’s pretty nice; good “shit”, lol. Tha hook’s soundin’
nice, too. Not bad on tha 2nd verse here… Tha 3rd verse
sounds a lil’ betta… Good job wit tha two of y’all collaboratin’. My Rating: 3.9
10.
“Bye, Bye, Bye” Feat. Yung Pimp
Let’s
hear dis one! >>> What a gay start; why iz this here? This iz not mixtape material! Even worse: it’s
4:31! My Rating: 2.4
11.
“R.I.P. Milli Beat”
What
iz goin’ on here? :confused >>> Unlike tha last song, at least dis iz
under 1:10! Really low interest, no matter what year we’re in! Good rappin’;
dat’s all. I have ta deduct for tha choice of beat, though, ‘cause it’s my review! My Rating: 3.3
12.
“Respect My Mind”
>>>
Sounds like we’re headed to tha jacked-beat route. At least this ain’t all dat
gay. Crazy rappin’ here; good job! My
Rating: 3.7
13.
“Mind Right” Feat. Taze
>>>
Sounds like a catchy hook… Crazy 2nd verse goin’ on here, too! My Rating: 4.1
14.
“Girl U Know”
I
guess tha last song wasn’t an exact jacked beat fa me ‘cause of tha feature.
Now, we’re back to them again… >>> Good rappin’, regardless. My Rating: 3.5
15.
“Neva Made It”
Ending
song… >>> No wonder why this iz tha ending song; not for me at all. My Rating: 2.2
Overall: Pretty good start and
kinda got wobbly toward tha end… Why did it say dat Derty was featured on #5?
Who was tha female?
Rankings:

Made It” 2.2
