R.I.P. Video #73: G3 Lotto (Donkey Boys/Too Exclusive Mob)

Gary Fieldings, known by his stage name, G3 Lotto (or G3 for short), was shot & killed on Monday, June 22, 2020, at 3:30 PM, on tha 2800 block of Fairfields Avenue off Plank Road. BRPD arrested 23-year-old Trenton Taplin for tha killing of Fieldings, as well as injuring a 21-year-old woman. While Fieldings died on tha scene, tha woman was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Taplin later attempted to flee tha scene; he was later arrested & booked into tha East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for first-degree murder & attempted first-degree murder.

Fieldings was born in Baton Rouge, LA on April 16, 1991. As a teenager, Fieldings was signed with tha late Big Fancy's King Fancy Entertainment label. During his time with King Fancy Entertainment, Fieldings was a part of tha Baton Rouge rap group, Donkey Boys (not to be confused with Marrero, LA rap group, "Donkey Boyz", with a "Z", though sometimes, tha Donkey Boys have spelt their name with a "Z"). Tha Donkey Boys consisted of Flush, Ked, L-Boy, Li' Louis, Yung Slim & G3, himself. Though no albums were released, tha Donkey Boys were featured on all four of King Fancy's I-10 By 10 (Tha Compilation) compilations, in 2010. Later on throughout tha 2010's, Fieldings would be a part of tha Too Exclusive Mob, featuring his brother, D-Ray Exclusive & members Phatt Beezy, Roc Da Don, SD & Tabby. Fieldings kept tha ack-a-donkey lifestyle going till June 22, 2020, where he was murdered in Baton Rouge, LA, off Plank Road; he was only 29 years-old.

Austin Rashaad Norwood, betta known in tha undaground of Baton Rouge, LA as Austin On Tha Track, was fatally shot and killed in tha 1900 block of tha Ardenwood Village apartments on North Ardenwood Drive on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at around 7 PM. According to investigators, Norwood was with someone when they went to meet up with whom they were going to sell a phone to. Tha sale was arranged online and as they were sitting in his vehicle, tha unidentified robbers opened fire on them, killing Norwood and wounding tha other victim, who is expecting to survive. At this time, tha suspect iz yet to be identified; Norwood was only 22 years-old.

Norwood was a part of tha Baton Rouge, LA group, Off Tha Meter, which was formed in 2008 by Norwood & his brother, Garin, also known as Gee Money Pimpin'. Throughout tha 2010s, Norwood would produce for various Louisiana artists such as King Fancy Entertainment, Foxx, Kareem, Que Tha Truth, Max Minelli, Bubba, Geaux Yella, Hot Boy, London Loui, Racked-Up Ready, D-Nic, ZC Juice, Doddie Savage, Scotty Cain, TBG Gang, Teflon Mula, Da Real Gee Money & others. On June 7, 2015, Off Tha Meter released their debut, Chapter 1: Only The Beginning, courtesy of Meter Gang & Crook Muzik. Off Tha Meter later started goin' by Meter Gang and their next release on May 22, 2017 was Press Play, under their stage names Austin On Tha Track & Gee Money Pimpin', courtesy of Meter Gang.

A Bloc Munstarz (I think I got tha right label) release, here… Big Blaze 2^nd Shot Promo iz what I finna review, right now! I’m sure this’ll be great, in its own lane!! It came out last year; I’m not sure why I missed it? Start Time: 8:59 PM | End Time: 9:52 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

Yella = Lil’ Yella? Did we lose a “Lil’”, this time? >>> Hearin’ tha old beat tag from Big Wayne, this must be an old beat (of course, tha pattern—normal times (before tha threatening)! I gotta get tha years from you so I can log everything, since I’m backin’ up my files that I got from this year! And, that Yella = Yella Yella (tha one wit JokaBoi), I assume. Anyway, nice job wit tha hook and 1^st verse; it’s all about tha crazy vibe!! Tha 2^nd verse nice, too! A Lil’ Buddy verse on tha 3^rd verse… Of course, tha old dayz wit those great voices, deep within tha 225! Tha crazy shit continues wit tha 4^th verse, too, combining both Yella & Lil’ Buddy on tha verse! Whoo!! Got you also, Big Blaze!! My Rating: 4.6

Tha 1^st verse’s nice and tha hook’s good, too, but more of a borderline guilty pleasure, for me, due to tha beat. Hearin’ Hatch on tha 2^nd verse, and he sounds good/consistent, as always! A bad Bandit on tha 3^rd verse, here, “not givin’ a fuck” if “your momma cryin’!” Nice verses, but c’mon, no mixtape beats! #blushes My Rating: 3.8

It’s just how he comes through on tha hook and beat, together! Also, he sounds great on tha 1^st verse, here; glad he always feelin’ fucked-up, just havin’ tha best of tha best times! Got you on tha 2^nd ½ of tha 1^st verse, here, comin’ through wit a good vibe! Oh wait, it iz a slower-pitched version of “9mm;” I figured! I couldn’t even tell, at first! Speakin’ of that title, this January 23’ll mark six years since I had one to me! Think: I could’ve died, and only had three months of a Louisiana connection, knowin’ very few—and, like, none from Baton Rouge! My Rating: 4.3

½ great feature, but ½ not thankin’ me for my awards! >>> This a familiar beat, too (T-Bo used it or somethin’); it’s all good, here, so let’s see how tha rhymes go… Nice shit from Teflon on tha 1^st verse; can feel how much he anticipates B.A.N.s to come to him!! Nice hook wit puttin’ ya “number up;” kinda was like tha pre-“Put Your Numbers Up” (BluBlack & Pezie) joint? That’s what it reminds me of… Nice shit wit tha 2^nd verse, too! Wow, since this iz you on tha 3^rd verse, if that was C-IV on tha 2^nd verse and/or hook, wow, it sounds good, and caught me off-guard! I almost was gonna say nothin’, but I couldn’t tell! This must’ve been back when he’d thank people for things! Anyway, here’s you on tha 3^rd verse, comin’ through wit faster-soundin’ rhymes; definitely on-n-poppin’!! And, 32 seconds of silence at tha end…; not on-n-poppin’! My Rating: 4.3

Bad anticipation for tha feature/song. You know I can’t comment on tha feature; I might still not get a job if people read feedback on someone who can’t take constructive criticism, smh! It just happened with one of my classmates’ shitty review, tha otha day! >>> A Young Hits production, here, but why tha fade-in intro? Low anticipation fa this… Yuck @ tha beginning; I made sure I paid attention to tha beginning, this time, and skipped it! Though I’m not a fan of “money” songs, at least this sounds old (way before I got robbed a ½ a stack by a BR dude), and it sounds like you got a lotta different kinds of “money” on tha 2^nd verse! Damn, not tha 3^rd verse, too? This was, like, a 50-second review or somethin’, smh… My Rating: 3.7

LOL, seems like this always appears on CDs! My Current Rating: 4.8

Overall: Wow, great CD!! Almost five stars, except tha jacked “Goodies” and $h(ater)izz—who likes auto-tune—got in tha way… But, very great, consistent CD!! Keep ‘em up!! Always stay loyal to tha 225 sound, your features, and tha production!!

Startin’ tha 1st verse off wit Bro-Bro here; sounds like how he came through on “I-10 Cowboy”! Gotta luv Bro-Bro; he’s REAL HOT wit tha flow and his attitude!!
