Review #1,806: Shizz Dollah "Look What You Made Me Do, Vol. 3: Baby Edition"

Reviewed on 7.08.2019 (Review #1,806)

Hoping to have my 1st day of work, today, at my new job! Before I get to dat, lemme get ta dis: Shizz Dollah Look What You Made Me Do, Vol. 3: Baby Edition review, courtesy of Pay The Producer Production & 3 Baby Entertainment! This iz Dollah’s posthumous release, right chea… Start Time: 8:15 AM | End Time: 3:31 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2019 CD Review (Review #1,806) reviewed on 7.08.2019 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. Intro: 3-0
>>> Props on winning tha battle, with a “3” in tha score, of course! My Rating: N/A

02. “Clout Chaser”
>>> Comin’ through wit HardBody on tha beat, here (Kevin Rivers & Raheem Hightower); sounds like it gon be a good 1st song on tha disc… Sounds like an okay hook; beat a lil’ quiet but starts to pick up… Sounds like a consistent verse you deliverin’, on tha 1st verse; good shit, Shizz! Tha 2nd verse comin’ through hard, as well, wit tha rhymes; definitely nice. My Rating: 4.0

03. “Boogie Man”
>>> Neil On Da Track! Sounds too mainstream fa me; not likin’ your voice on this one. Tha hook sounds like it’s tryna sell out wit tha beat and voice. Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and I’m not really diggin’ tha voice effects. I remember, back in 2012, when you was dealin’ wit Foxx, you went at me for tha auto-tune shit. It’s 2019 & I still say it’s shit! I’m just lettin’ this play; I don’t really have to say anything… My Rating: 2.4

04. “No Offense”
>>> “Just pay the guy!,” in tha background; shout out ta B-Real (and Kevin Rivers, on this one)! #JustPayTheGuy! Just sounds like a freestyle, so far, with not much goin’ on in tha beat. It’s just a good beat fa you ta let out rhymes on, basically. Mo fiya shit comin’ outta tha 2nd verse, too; thumbs up fa keepin’ it up… My Rating: 3.7

05. “Let’s Be Serious”
>>> Sounds like a betta start wit tha beat, here; J Buc! Sounds like a good hook; definitely catchy and almost reminds me of Ready, from ’09 (“So Serious”)… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, too; good goin’, Shizz! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ good, too; keep tha good shit comin’ along! My Rating: 4.2

06. “Sex Slave”
Music video out now! Here goes my review for it, as I added it to my playlist, just yesterday (wasn’t sure if this review or da playlist was gon be first, at first). >>> B-Real on tha beat, of course. What I really like about this one iz your flow (of course, no gay voice effects provided); definitely sounds like a catchy hook. Reelin’ in da sex, on da real! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice. It’s always good to hear more-defining lyrics than just, “I fucked you.” Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it sounds like you’re gettin’ caught up in that fast rappin’ that err-body tryna do, deliverin’ a verse. Kinda random, fa me; I’d rather be flooded with that floooow! My Rating: 4.2

07. “Boss Bitch”
>>> Not gonna comment on tha producer ($hop…); good, catchy lil’ track, between tha hook and what you deliver. My Rating: 4.1

½time: 8:34 AM; just gonna stop and go to tha job. If I get a break, I’ll continue this. For now, it’s an okay CD; a 3.8-rated CD. Original production sounds nice; just avoid tha auto-tune nonsense, B-Real! *Goes to work…* *Comes back at 3:16 PM…*

08. “Window Pain”
>>> J Buc on tha beat but not good wit how you soundin’, in your voice. To me, it’s a lil’ gay wit these “raindrops falling on [your] window;” nothin’ great wit da hook. Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you and you sound slightly better; sounds more like celebrating-type lyrics than depressing? Kickin’ off tha 2nd verse and it sounds like I’m hearin’ tons of recycled titles (“It’s Gone Get Better For Me”, “Make Time For You”); kinda bleh… Really, no more interest in this; some1 else coulda handled this beat betta. My Rating: 2.5

09. Skit
>>> It’s like he thinkin’ ‘bout death with how some have “died” where he at… My Rating: N/A

10. “Mad Man”
>>> J Buc beat, again; can it be betta? This sounds much catchier wit tha good “Sex Slave”-type flow and you sound good wit Magee on da beat (J Buc). Hearin’ what you got goin’ on wit tha 1st verse and it’s good; “Sex Slave”, Part 2, at its finest… Sounds good wit what you’re bringin’ on tha 2nd verse; gotta dig tha line, “Mane, it feels good to be a muthafuckin’ black man!” Ain’t dat right? I feel multiracial, at times, due to how well I’ve connected with people. My Rating: 4.2

11. “Stop Playin’”
>>> HardBody doin’ anotha beat, here… So far, hearin’ tha hook and it just sounds like a regular, mainstream-soundin’ song; ain’t nothin’ Baton Rouge/Louisiana about this, fa me… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I’m not really diggin’ this flow. It’s just, rhyme, rhyme-rhyme-rhyme, rhyme; rhyme-rhyme-rhyme-rhyme-rhyme, rhyme, as it doesn’t stop. Gettin’ tired of rappers tryna shove so many words into one bar… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it’s just random rhymes; can’t feel ‘em too much… Overall, a lil’ below decent for tha track; just anotha mainstream-soundin’ track… My Rating: 3.0

12. “It’s Gone Get Better For Me”
A repeat from Vol. 2, as I previously reviewed:

Sounds like a depressing vibe? Kinda likin’ this quiet-soundin’ [DJ B-Real] beat wit your story goin’ on… Not tha craziest but, it’s crazy how you said, “Only fear iz me dyin’, in my prime…” Who woulda thought you’d have a fatal heart attack at 27? I see you mentioned “Flag,” on tha 1st verse. Yeah, free G.O.C.! Glad you produced his undaground hit song from [2017], “One Mo Time”! As far as tha rest of this, it aight; it iz what it iz… My Current Rating: 3.5

13. “Too Much On Me”
>>> Hitz Production track… Just not diggin’ tha auto-tuned voice on you; interest just drops too quick! Not really feelin’ tha hook; can see this goin’ down da trash… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it just sounds like every rapper turnt father. To me, it’s tha definition of a downfall; nothin’ new. Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it sounds betta wit tha lyrics, but we’re back to that 1,000-words-in-one-bar shit, smh. I do agree about bein’ “more of a man” when it comes to “goin’ through some shit.” I definitely have felt it this year! Don’t even feel tha pain of a sunburn, tbh! My Rating: 2.1

14. “Outro: Words From The Deacon”
>>> Definitely! “Keep workin’ till you get betta;” gotta! My Rating: N/A

Overall: Wasn’t really that great… Thumbs up fa havin’ original production but no features? Need to have more of that Baton Rouge sound in tha tracks than tha mainstream, typical-soundin’ shit you hear on every rapper’s tracks, these dayz. Also, coulda done without tha auto-tune; that’s why Shizz disliked me, back in tha day!

Rankings:

11. “Too Much On Me” 2.1
10. “Boogie Man” 2.4
09. “Window Pain” 2.5
08. “Stop Playin’” 3.0
07. “It’s Gone Get Better For Me” 3.5
06. “No Offense” 3.7
05. “Clout Chaser” 4.0
04. “Boss Bitch” 4.1
03. “Mad Man” 4.2
02. “Let’s Be Serious” 4.2
01. “Sex Slave” 4.2

© 2019 CD Review (Review #1,795) reviewed on 1.22.2019 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Yizdom (Freestyle)”
>>> Original beat ta kick it off, wit this freestyle? Just sounds like a ramblin’ intro, ta me, even tho tha beat pretty nice… Shoulda had a lil’ catchier flow but this still nice wit what you bringin’, slowly but shortly… My Rating: 3.9

02. “What Dat Azz Do”
>>> Sounds good; likin’ tha hook wit how you questionin’, “What Dat Azz Do,” here; good shit…! Not too bad wit tha rhymes, here; just a regular-soundin’ song fa da ladies & tha clubs, here… My Rating: 3.7

03. “Ain’t Nothing New”
>>> Kinda sounds boring, ta me, wit this slower vibe… Not dealin’ with/feelin’ tha whole “money” theme, too… At least this short but I’m not feelin’ it that much. Random how you speed up your flow durin’ tha rappin’; I’ono ‘bout dat… This “Ain’t Nothing New” ta me… My Rating: 2.3

04. “Puncho”
>>> A lil’ intro, here & then, you come in at :35… I’ono, nothin’ too crazy about this one. I’ono why y’all get mixed up wit tha faster rappin’; not feelin’ tha fastness, at times… Overall, this ehh but not too bad, like tha last track… My Rating: 3.0

05. “10 Toes”
>>> A lil’ betta wit tha beat you chose, here… Kinda sounds like you’re deliverin’ your catchy sing-rap flow, on tha hook; not bad… Hearin’ what you got wit tha rhymes and it ain’t bad; a regular-soundin’ Rouge track, ta me, fa tha streetz… My Rating: 3.5

06. “Can’t Fall In Love”
>>> Boring mainstream-soundin’ beat ta rap off of… Hearin’ what you got on tha rhymes and it sounds like you winnin’ in every way. Sounds good fa you but just a regular-soundin’ song that anyone can make, ta me… Hook decent; just a regular song, overall… My Rating: 3.1

07. “Satellites (Freestyle)”
>>> Thought it was tha “Satellites” beat but it’s a sample on tha hook, instead, wit Deezy On Da Beat doin’ da beat… Woulda been betta if it didn’t have Gates’ blonde-ass on tha hook and was an original track, like it was tryna be… I get it, tho: This What [You] Would’ve Did 2 [They] Shit, tho… Wit tha rhymes, not bad, at times, but you shouldn’t’ve did tha fast rappin’… My Rating: 2.6

08. “Monster (Freestyle)”
>>> Great job wit tha rhymes but not feelin’ tha Meek/East Coast vibe wit tha beat you chose ta rap off of… I get it: You did this to they shit; on tha same level, ta me… My Rating: 3.8

09. “Burn One” feat. Slap
>>> Not too bad, for a start… Just sounds like a decent track wit a decent hook; nothin’ special but nothin’ bad… Hearin’ what you got on tha 1st verse and it decent; can’t say much… With Slap comin’ in fa tha 2nd verse, he sound good fa his 225 representation… Sounds like he was pickin’ up tha pace wit tha rappin’, too; I’ono… My Rating: 3.2

10. “School Boy (Freestyle)”
>>> Boring beat ta go off of in tha “Studio”, but let’s see… Just random rappin’ ova this beat, fa tha ladies, here… My Rating: 2.0

½time: I’m not really inta these jacked-beat CDs; a 3.1-rated CD, currently.

11. “Know ‘Bout Me”
>>> Typical-soundin’, bullshit, mainstream-soundin’ beat you picked, here; boring, auto-tuned hook… I’ono, I ain’t got patience fa dis four-minute track… My Rating: 1.1

12. “Food 4 Thotz”
>>> Not really feelin’ this; nothin’ poppin’ wit this, too. I like tha “Plank” & “stanky” reference (gotta luv “Plank” Road), but that’s prolly it… My Rating: 2.5

13. “Only If You Knew” feat. Slap & KB
>>> Ick @ that beat tag (“Damn, Menace got beats…”); that deserves a sexy voice? Just a typical-soundin’, quiet-ass beat, here; more unattractive than attractive, right…?! Aside from this, tha intro in tha beginning has a sample that shows that life ain’t nothin’ ta play with. Hearin’ you rap and it aight; nothin’ too special wit how this sounds, overall… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad; a lil’ betta than you wit these rhymes/aggression… Tha 3rd verse got a good vibe, too; good focus… My Rating: 2.9

14. “I Feel Like I’m Raw”
>>> Just a boring, regular beat, here, with decent rappin’ from you… Tha hook aight but tha “raw” don’t define tha lack of aggression in tha voice/flow, tho… My Rating: 2.4

15. “Episodes”
>>> Who needs a “Trap Queen”, right nah?
Blah-blah-blah, ta me… My Rating: 1.0

16. “Ya Heard Me”
>>> This sounds like it has more effort than most of tha shit on here… Just tha “Ya Heard Me” in tha title, as well as repeatin’ in tha hook goes to show me that this has that Louisiana sound ta it…! Nice lil’ beat you chose ta rap off of, as far as how this CD goes… Hearin’ what you got on tha rhymes and they aight… Overall, this ain’t bad wit how you kept tha rhymes goin’ through three verses… My Rating: 3.6

17. “Exactly (Freestyle)”
>>> Goin’ wit mo of tha mainstream beats, here; oh, Drake & nem… Hook tryna be a lil’ catchy but I just zone outta tha track, after I know it’s a mainstream jacked beat… You know you betta than these jacked beats! My Rating: 2.1

18. “On My Mind” feat. 3D
>>> Don’t thank I’ll tolerate tha auto-tune & boring/typical-soundin’ beat… Not too awful wit how you sound, on tha 1st verse; not interested in this, tho… Tha 3D feature ehh; oh, auto-tune? Fa’get this gay-soundin’ shit…! My Rating: 1.2

19. “Just Venting”
>>> I would agree wit you havin’ “Gunplay as one of [your] favorite rappers;” he, at least, got shit on lock… Tha beat boring and quiet; not too much inta your voice effects & what you got, here… My Rating: 1.4

20. “Need Somebody (Response)”
>>> Not feelin’ tha slow way ta end this CD off… Even includin’ tha original hook on this, too; why? No interest; almost four minutes of this? My Rating: 1.0

Overall: Jacked beats aren’t tha way ta go, $hizz! Glad you got betta after this, tho, thanx to DJ B-Real!

Review #1,794: Shizz Dollah "N.I.K.E., Vol. 1 (Nigga I Kill Everything) (Hosted by DJ PK1)"

Reviewed on 1.21.2019 (Review #1,794)

Time fa mo Shizz Dollah! Here goes my review fa his 2013 CD (I forgot to mention, tha previous CD I just reviewed was also from 2013), N.I.K.E., Vol. 1 (Nigga I Kill Everything) (Hosted by DJ PK1), courtesy of Money Cirkle Entertainment & The Non-Fiction Community… Start Time: 8:47 PM | End Time: 9:12 PM

If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Nigga I Kill Everything”
>>> DJ PK1 on tha hosting, here… Nice lil’ intro and now, a darker-soundin’ beat wit your consistent rhymes; nice… My Rating: 4.1

02. “Work 4 Me”
You on da beat… >>> Sounds like a familiar-soundin’ bounce vibe or somethin’; good lil’ hook from you… Sounds like you livin’ a good life wit how you comin’ through on tha verses; nice vibe… My Rating: 4.2

03. “Pills & Cocaine” feat. 1Hitta, Lil’ One The Champ & Spitta
Keepin’ your beats goin’… >>> Sounds like a familiar-soundin’ beat (like Mystikal “Here I Go” or somethin’); sounds good wit you on tha 1st verse… Tha hook sounds like a good mixin’ blend, to go wit tha mixin’ of this mixtape… Hearin’ Lil’ One on tha 2nd verse and it sounds good/consistent; nice job… Spit on tha 3rd verse, luvin’ tha “purp,” of course! Great job collabin’ wit tha Dollah & vice versa! My Rating: 3.8

04. “Do This Fo Real”
Mo original productions… >>> Sounds like a good/catchy lil’ hook wit how you repeat tha title; nice… Rhymes sound catchy fa a club vibe; not bad, overall… Kinda seems like it neva ends, for havin’ no features on this; still decent, regardless… My Rating: 3.7

05. “Ching Ching” feat. Lil’ One (Bad Azz Ent.)
D. Jackson doin’ this beat… >>> Sounds like a catchy-soundin’ hook, despite me not goin’ for tha money songs… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s a regular-soundin’ verse; not bad… Couldn’t put tha hook’s voice wit this bein’ this Lil’ One but I guess it iz… Barely have heard this Lil’ One but now, there’s more chances… Hearin’ him on tha 2nd verse and it ain’t bad; it passes tha test… My Rating: 3.6

06. “Paranoid”
Young Hits beat…! >>> Gotta luv “flyin’ down Airline;” I miss bein’ in BR! Good lil’ hook but it’s all about confidence! Gotta avoid tha paranoia! Hearin’ what you got ta say on tha verses and it sounds like you’re tryna escape, as much as you can… Good state of mind but look at where it brought you (death)… Good, catchy rhymes on tha 2nd verse, too; you know what it iz… My Rating: 3.7

07. “Gucci” feat. Lil’ One (Bad Azz Ent.)
D. Jackson beat! >>> A decent beat wit a decent/“good” hook, here… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds like a random, regular-soundin’ undaground song fa da Boot, here… Nice job wit what Lil’ One bringin’ ta dis track; like this betta than tha previous one… My Rating: 3.7

½time: Most of this CD’s slightly above-average, fa me; a 3.8-rated CD, currently. Keep up tha original-produced tracks, holdin’ it down…!

08. “Fucked Up” feat. Lil’ One (Bad Azz Ent.) & Foxx
$hizz, you on da beat, once again! >>> Good beat you bringin’ to da table, here; good 1st verse, too… Sounds good wit Lil’ One on tha 2nd verse, here, strictly luvin’ tha buzz life! “Let’s get retawded-tawded;” fa’real! Gotta luv Foxx’s buzzed contributions on tha 3rd verse, of course; unstoppable Milliyone!! My Rating: 4.2

09. “One Time”
No producer listed…? Hmm… >>> Nothin’ too-too bad, so far; a lil’ laidback, here… Hearin’ what you got goin’ on and it sounds like you’re tryna rap faster than what tha beat can handle… Tha pre-hook sounds a lil’ too simple wit tha title part repeatin’… Tha hook ain’t too bad; like how you ready fa this “time,” here… My Rating: 3.7

10. “Bitches Love Me”
>>> Okay, no producer listed ‘cause you goin’ tha Wayne route, wit tha “Love Me” rendition, here… Too fast wit tha rappin’; sounds too random, ta me… Does it really need ta be 4:09? Way too long; shoulda cut this jacked-beat track in half! My Rating: 1.5

11. “Joady” feat. Lil’ One (Bad Azz Ent.) & Foxx
Back to da original productions from you, here… >>> Sounds more anticipatin’ than tha previous track! You sound like you got tha BR vibe on lock, throughout tha 1st verse; good job… Tha hook sounds good/catchy; can’t deny it, I guess? Lil’ One enjoyin’ all this “jumpin’ up & down” shit, via tha 2nd verse; good job… Gotta save tha best fa last (Foxx)! Foxx-A-Mill comin’ through on tha 3rd verse, here, strictly holdin’ it down wit his aggression at all times! My Rating: 4.0

12. “What Up With That”
Young Hits on this production…! >>> Good lil’ beat; when you talk about tha “Nolia Clap,” on tha hook, it reminds me that this Hitz production has a lil’ bit of an N.O. vibe to it, more than a BR one! Hearin’ what you got ta spit and it sounds like it blends good wit this N.O. street vibe (beat), vs. your BR club vibe (rhymes); nice! My Rating: 3.8

13. “Questionaire”
>>> Sounds like a lil’ bit of an upbeat vibe fa you, here; good lil’ hook… Hearin’ what you got goin’ on throughout tha rappin’ and it sounds like you focused. Sounds like a few mainstream references, here, from “Nicki,” to Drake, to “50;” umm… Overall, just a regular-soundin’ track fa me; nothin’ too special but not bad… My Rating: 3.5

14. “Freaks” feat. Doe
>>> Takin’ on this “Freaks”; here we go… Sounds like you’re excited ta rap but sometimes, it sounds like you got dat Lil’ Wayne flow to ya… Doe got some catchy rhymes comin’ outta tha 2nd verse; pretty nice, but nicer if it was an original beat… My Rating: 2.8

15. “Speed Dial” feat. Dog Da Cutthroata & Foxx
>>> Beginning with you tryna slow it down doesn’t sound like it gon be fa me… Hook ehh; it’s just a slow jam, ta me… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it—auto-tune? Neva mind… Damn, Dog, too? Fa’get his verse…! Hope not Foxx… Save a 1.0 from happenin’, F-O-XX…! Looks like he did! No gay voice, here, but this’ll prolly be tha worst-rated track… Lol @ “I put her # under ‘Wet Wet;’ I’ono her name;” good goin’, Foxx! Glad Foxx got lots of good powers ta turn around any environment! My Rating: 1.2

Overall: Seems like most of your CDs average around tha same scores & shit… I thought this one had it, in tha beginning, with all tha original production. Then again, you took it a lil’ too far wit tha mainstream/slower vibes & kinda fucked up your ratings. Either way, there’s one more review I gotta do of yours, most-likely 2morrow; how will you do?

© 2019 CD Review (Review #1,793) reviewed on 1.21.2019 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Intro”
>>> Sounds like you’re slowly dippin’ into a betta vibe than tha A.D.I.D.A.S. vibe, from 2012… Likin’ all tha “off” shit, on tha hook; glad you got some addictive hooks! Hearin’ you rap and it’s pretty nice; glad you got all these “raps!” My Rating: 4.2

02. “Bossed Up”
>>> A slower vibe, here, but keepin’ it G… Hearin’ you rap and it sounds like you continuin’ tha nice rhymes, once again; good shit. I like how you said, “Polo socks; my 4-4 cocked;” dope shit! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s good; nothin’ special-special but nothin’ terrible… My Rating: 3.7

03. “Feel Good”
>>> Got D. Jackson on this beat, here; let’s see how y’all combine together… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s good, wit this Jacksontized beat; not bad… Hearin’ what you got wit tha rhymes and yeah, “Same clothes fa two dayz;” it’s true! I would say, sometimes, close to a week if you don’t have a job and are on a non-stop grind… Sounds like you picked up tha pace wit tha flow… I’ono, not err-body gotta rap fast…! My Rating: 3.5

04. “Rider”
>>> Anotha D. Jackson beat; glad y’all have chemistry…! Glad you have “a closet fulla music,” too; definitely a plus! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s a lil’ catchier than tha previous hook. Hearin’ you rap and it ain’t too bad, here. Just a regular-soundin’ track ta me, with nothin’ special or nothin’ bad… My Rating: 3.6

05. “Beef Shit” feat. Rambeezy
>>> R.I.P. y’all… Young Hits doin’ this beat; bet it gon be a top-rated one…! Hook ain’t too bad; I expected a lil’ mo energy wit this Hits beat & y’all… What’s tha deal wit tha “‘09” shit? Nothin’ great about those ‘Nu$$ie Dead’ times… Hearin’ you rap and it sounds catchy; you know what you doin’…! Glad you luv tha “Polo;” that’s why you had it “2 The Flo,” back in “’09,” like you said! I like how Rambeezy got a good representation wit tha collab, here; props to his gangsta shit! Kinda likin’ how he referenced “Bubba Sparxxx” and his “Ugly” track, from ’01; random but nice… My Rating: 4.2

06. “Noticed You” feat. Young Trayne
>>> Sounds like a good, catchy, slower vibe, on tha hook; props ta D, again, on anotha beat! Hearin’ you rap your verse on this and, as always, it sounds like you continuously able ta hold it down…! Wit Trayne on tha 2nd verse, he sounds great ta hear, of course; great job wit y’all “Oak”-asses, ya dig? My Rating: 3.8

07. “Girlfriend”
>>> Goin’ wit tha online beats or whatevz…? Hearin’ you rap and it sounds like you tryna get along wit this online track… I’ono, I wouldn’t be cool wit it, lol… Kinda likin’ tha hook and how you have this “get down” shit on lock, as far as catchiness… Even tho these kinda tracks don’t sound tha best ta me, I’ll admit: there’s a decent amount of catchiness, here… My Rating: 3.4

½time: Not too bad, so far; I thank you got this, as far as this P.O.L.O. shit goes… A 3.8-rated CD, currently; let’s see what’s next…

08. “Freestyle”
>>> Decent rhymes, wit a random beat ta “freestyle” off of… Once it’s time to “freestyle,” you already know how to adjust yourself…! My Rating: 3.9

09. “Get At U”
>>> Sounds like a decent, catchy lil’ hook/beat… Well, of course, it sounds betta when you start repeatin’, “I’m gon get at u (I’m gon get at u)…;” nice! Like what you’re bringin’ to tha verses, here, strictly comin’ from tha “goon school,” of course! Kinda long fa a track but it ain’t too bad, overall… My Rating: 3.9

10. “No Good”
>>> Anotha okay/not-tha-craziest-about-type of song… Tha hook a lil’ catchy and tha beat kinda laidback, here; nothin’ too-too special but let’s see what else we got goin’ on… Hearin’ you rap and I’m likin’ your rhymes, with tha “Room Raiders” and all that; “good” rhymes fa a relationship song… Anotha one a lil’ long—actually, just about tha same length as tha previous track… My Rating: 3.7

11. “Product Of My Environment”
>>> Just a random beat wit a random voice bein’ sampled; nothin’ special fa me… Anotha 4:00+ track; okay rhymes and a decent hook… Nothin’ too catchy, here; nothin’ much fa me ta say… My Rating: 3.1

12. “Stevie Wonder” feat. Doe
>>> Anotha song referrin’ ta “Stevie Wonder”; this boring and mainstream-soundin’, tho… Not really inta tha flow/rappin’ on this one, as well; get away from tha mainstream!! Same thang wit Doe; this ain’t fa y’all! What else should I say…? My Rating: 1.3

13. “High Freestyle” feat. Lil’ Mop
>>> Here we go wit mo online beats… Don’t thank I’ll catch on to tha rhymes/flow, since it sounds like bullshit mainstream music, like tha last track… Great wit tha “stupid high” part, but on this beat? Naw, Mop… Even tha rappin’ can have potential to be good, but y’all shoulda had an original Baton Rouge beat on this one! You sound like you’re tryna have fun wit your rappin’ but fa’real, y’all shoulda picked a different beat ta rap on… My Rating: 2.5

14. “Spend The Night”
>>> Anotha random beat wit anotha relationship-style track… Let’s see how much feedback I’ll leave… Semi-fast rappin’; attemptin’ to be catchy but it ain’t workin’, here… Kinda bored wit tha “pocket fulla money” shit…; next…! My Rating: 1.7

15. “Bet That Up” feat. Rambeezy
>>> Sounds like there’s betta effort in this intro, here, wit tha energy! “Bet that up!” Enjoyin’ tha hook and what y’all got goin’ on, here… Good shit from Beezy, comin’ through fa you, here; gangsta at its finest…! A decent lil’ contribution from you, here; likin’ Beezy betta but it’s still betta than tha previous tracks…! My Rating: 3.8

Overall: A lil’ boring/watered-down toward tha 2nd ½ but it looked like it started off to be above-average… Got two mo CDs ta review of yours & I should be able to get to ‘em sooner or later…

Review unavailable.

Review #1,790: $hizz "The Chosen One, Vol. 1"

Reviewed on 1.20.2019 (Review #1,790)

It’s 2019 & it’s my dawg, Doe-Doe’s birthday! Started tha year off as a top-notch celeb till tha week after, where I got myself involved in some shit. Now, as I’m tryna get back on tha right path, I have some free time to catch up. Since tha untimely passing of Shizz Dollah, back on October 26, 2018, I had some CDs of his that I didn’t get tha chance to review. Now, I have that time, so here we go: Here goes my review for $hizz The Chosen One, Vol. 1, released in 2011 on Foxx’s Milliyone Musik. Start Time: 3:54 PM | End Time: 4:25 PM

© 2019 CD Review (Review #1,790) reviewed on 1.20.2019 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Intro”
>>> A “birthday” release, via “September 28th.” This 2011 so when I say that it sounds “typical,” tha “typical” iz referrin’ ta that time. With that bein’ said, just regular-soundin’ rappin’, here… My Rating: 3.2

02. “Local Rappers” feat. Foxx & Dog Da Cutthroata
>>> A decent lil’ upbeat beat, here. Tha hook ain’t too bad but I’m feelin’ how you repeat, “Let’s do it, let’s do it; let’s do it, let’s do it…” Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds like you got some random rappin’ goin’ on, at times, despite keepin’ it upbeat… Luv how Foxx iz always upbeat, via tha 2nd verse; good aggression, as always…! As far as Dog bein’ featured on this, I know y’all made a Milliyone connection, back then. To me, it’s semi-random, semi-undaground; that’s what I consider him rappin’, here… My Rating: 4.2

03. “Bob My Head”
>>> Sounds like a way for you to avoidin’ tha dancin’, here; good hook, tho. Crazy wit you and tha “Watson after Watson,” on tha 1st verse (shout out ta Doe-Doe & his last name; pilLLLlllLllllLlzzZZZzzZzzzZZ)! Beat nothin’ special, with not much Louisiana sound to it but I think you did a good job wit this one… Strictly goin’ ham on tha 2nd verse, here, as far as how far you’re willin’ ta take it! It sux that you took it too far, tha day you passed. It happened to my brother, it happened to you; it sux…! My Rating: 3.7

04. “Hit It In The Morning”
>>> A slower track… Not that crazy about this but at least you’re depictin’ a sex scene, here. I like tha line, “One night stands played out; Nintendo.” As far as tha hook you chose, I guess it goes wit it… All about dem hitzMy Rating: 3.0

05. “That Nigga”
>>> Okay beat; kinda a mainstream version of a Louisiana track, I feel like it iz… Sounds like you’re everything, here… Good, upbeat-soundin’ flow you got goin’ on, here. “I don’t mean to sound conceited but I feel I’m undefeated;” good line! You proved that tha night before you died, via your battle & previous battles! My Rating: 3.4

06. “Do Me”
>>> Not feelin’ tha “la-la-la-la” vocals in tha background of tha hook, here; not a good combo wit your NY-soundin’ vibe, here. Hearin’ tha verse and yeah, not really my style & your Louisiana rhymes mix weird wit tha NY sound… My Rating: 2.4

07. “Relax & Take Notes”
>>> Just like Ball & MJ did, back in ’07, here you are wit tha Biggie sample. Beat was betta back then; this on a NY tip, once again… Rhymes ain’t that bad but it’s whateva; nothin’ crazy about… My Rating: 2.8

½time: Not too crazy about this CD but it iz what it iz, I guess. I know I wasn’t too crazy about your Milliyone music route, back then; a 3.2-rated CD, so far…

08. “Son” feat. 1Hitta & Kane
>>> A lil’ betta than tha previous tracks, here; decent lil’ hook from you. Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds good; better attempt, here… Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on, here (from tha Hitta?) and a betta-soundin’ voice fa dis gangsta shit, here; definitely nice…! Got tha Kane dude on tha 3rd verse, I believe, and I’m definitely feelin’ this Oak vibe, to tha fullest! “Pants saggin’,” strictly deliverin’ some good G-shit, here! My Rating: 3.8

09. “Warning Shots”
>>> Mo Biggie, here, but this time, tha beat… Hearin’ you rappin’ and it’s pretty nice; good fit, too, from tha “Girbauds” to tha “Polo collar.” Great job wit tha consistent lyrics, strictly holdin’ it down, ova this beat… My Rating: 3.5

10. “Barzzz” feat. Foxx & Dog Da Cutthroata
>>> This definitely nice! Gotta luv tha “(Xana)barz” shit repeatin’ throughout tha hook! Definitely a pure collab!! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice; lol @ you stuffin’ “meat in!” Got Mr. Dog on tha 2nd verse and his “xanz” vibe’s betta than his random vibe, from tha last collab… Lots of wakin’ up, via dem pillz; good shit! Got Foxx on tha 3rd verse; lol @ spellin’, “F-U-C-K-I-N-G;” “G?” How about apostrophe?! Lol… Likin’ this “barz” competition wit Foxx, too, toward tha final “barzzz” of tha track, ya dig? My Rating: 4.4

11. “By Myself”
>>> Kinda ehh fa me, wit tha way you sound, here… It’s true: “I’m by myself in this lonely world…” Decent rhymes but tha beat makes this seem a lil’ boring/nothin’ special, in my opinion… My Rating: 2.6

12. “The Landing” (Doe feat. $hizz)
>>> Beat’s more like an East Coast vibe, here; *yawns*… Doe on tha 1st verse and tha rhymes good but I’m just not into this beat, that much (*yawns*…, literally)… Here you come on tha 2nd verse, $hizz & you stepped up wit tha rhymes, here. Sounds like an early version of your battle talent; good shit…! My Rating: 3.6

13. “Ripped Up” (Doe, Young Trayne & $hizz)
>>> Sounds like a much-betta beat start, here; definitely feelin’ tha energy…! All about a “ripped-up” hook, here; good shit… Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit a show-off show but it sounds like your average good track… Trayne on tha 2nd verse, here, givin’ y’all newbies a recap of his “classics;” good shit! “Now they on my dick, like a pair of boxer briefs;” go, Trayne, lol! Strictly lettin’ y’all know how it really be! Good shit, straight from da 2-2-5! Got Doe endin’ tha track wit tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice… My Rating: 4.1

14. “Bitch Niggas Oh Yeah” feat. 1Hitta & Lil’ Hurk
>>> Anotha good opportunity wit this beat start, here, soundin’ pretty nice… Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit tha “Glen Oaks” representation, here; fa’real! Tha hook sounds like a good lil’ chant, kinda like Ziggly Wiggly from tha N.O., only this tha Oak! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and I’m feelin’ tha energy bein’ brought to tha table, here; definitely nice! Tha 3rd verse keeps it goin’ wit tha energy, here; definitely tha vibe I desire! Gotta be wild, wildin’ out, ya dig? Good shit! My Rating: 4.3

15. “Outro”
>>> Goin’ back to bringin’ tha NY beats, here; you know I don’t “feel” tha East Coast-soundin’ beats wit tha samples in tha background! Hearin’ you rap, here, and it sounds like you’re just rappin’ somethin’ off da top of yo head… Got some good rhymes comin’ out yo mouth, here and there (e.g., tha “soccer ball” rhyme). Some of your rhymes, like on tha hook, sounds like Lil’ Wayne in his evolving stage… My Rating: 2.7

Overall: Most of it was ehh/somewhat-decent, while some tracks were pretty nice… Not tha best blend of tracks fa me but I’m glad you got betta with time, from these tracks…
