Review #1,980: Cheeky Blakk "Cheeky Gonna Be Cheeky"

Reviewed on 6.03.2021 (Review #1,980)

Dozed off, outta nowhere; sick of my back & neck botherin’ me, at tymes…! Anyway, glad to be up & about ta do my next review: Cheeky Blakk Cheeky Gonna Be Cheeky, released in 2000 on Danger Zone Records…! Start Tyme: 9:23 PM | End Tyme: 9:47 PM

Disclaimer:
I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. Intro
>>> Sounds like it’s a really old-soundin’ intro beat, here, based off tha ‘80s samples fa tha 2000… Hearin’ it just be beats iz cool but why 3:49 on tha length? My Rating: N/A

02. “Y’all Be Trippin’”
>>> Sounds good wit what you’re bringin’, energy-wise; nice lil’ hook & beat, here…! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & you really have character in your voice; shout out ta you! Diggin’ tha story in tha hood that you tellin’; you tell it with character & aggression…! Hearin’ tha rest of what you’re bringin’, here & I’m so glad you don’t give up on your energy! My Rating: 4.4

03. “It’s Ova Now”
>>> Luv tha aggression & character on this one, too! You really got it on this release; hook & beat be poppin’, here! Hearin’ what you bringin’ to tha table on tha verses & they sound great; glad you tell it like it iz, courtesy of these energetic, N’awlinz beats! My Rating: 4.2

04. “Bitch Get Off Me 2000”
>>> Tha “Bitch Get Off Me” shit neva gets old fa you; glad you continuously keep tha energy up, no matter which year! Of course, tha bounce beat, here, sounds like tha intro’s bounce beat; no age, here! Keep hittin’ ‘em with tha energy! My Rating: 4.2

05. Interlude Mix
>>> Anotha nice lil’ instrumental; sounds nice ta bounce its way through this release! My Rating: N/A

06. “Downtown” feat. Lil’ Soulja
>>> Sounds dope with how you come through on this beat, courtesy of tha hook; definitely nice! “Tha C, tha H, tha E, tha E, tha K-Y-B”; go get ‘em, gurl! Tha rhymes you spittin’ on tha 1st verse ain’t too bad, here; you know what it iz when providin’ quality to tha females… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from you & it sounds good, as you continue ta shine on ‘em; props ta you, Cheek… Hearin’ Lil’ Soulja come through on tha 3rd verse & he’s reppin’ nicely, here; definitely feelin’ tha “Girbauds” reference! Gotta luv how his voice iz as southern as it gets, in dat 5-0-4! Undaground lifestyle, “shmokin’ this D-O-A”; just like I say, “THC, that’s what I need! 1st degree, that murda weed (bing, bow, bow!)!” I like how Soulja lays down tha final hook, as well; definitely diggy-diggy-dope…! My Rating: 4.4

½tyme: Good shit, Cheeky; you know what it iz with this quality music fa tha 504! A 4.3-rated release, so far; how well will you continue, here?

07. “Wyld Boy” feat. Lil’ Pimp
>>> Your voice iz more on a fast-talkative tip, here; where did tha aggression go? Can’t exactly tell if it’s you or this Pimp spittin’; guess y’all really goin’ back & forth, here? Okay, I hear you on tha 2nd verse, at tymes; still, it sounds mainly like a Lil’ Pimp track… I’ono if I can appreciate this to tha max but tha energy pretty nice; glad ta hear you on tha outro… My Rating: 3.7

08. “I’m Too Wyld”
>>> Tha beat sounds good ta hear, here…; hearin’ tha hook & it sounds nice with how you luv ta get “wyld”. Basically, my advice ta you iz to continue to go get ‘em! Sounds good with how you keep this aggressive energy on lock; you, just, so “wyld” wit it! My Rating: 4.1

09. “Shakee Shake” (Merrill ROC)
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ hook from Mr. Robinson, here; gotta appreciate how he comes through, between tha beats & rhymes! Gotta dig tha 504 feelin’ throughout this track; props fa tha ener-energy, Roc! My Rating: 4.2

10. “Y’all Be Trippin’ (Radio)”
See #2 fa tha review!

11. “Fo Sho” (Busbak)
>>> Beat sounds cool; more like a hood-soundin’ beat than tha typical party music on this release… Hearin’ tha hook & it’s cool with what Busbak applyin’ to your release, Cheeky… Sounds like it’s a good lil’ set of rhymes from Busbak, here; nothin’ spectacular but still nice ta break up tha string of energies, here… My Rating: 3.8

12. “All We Know” (All Night Flightaz)
>>> Beat sounds good & tha hook sounds pretty dope with tha “cross ‘em up, boss ‘em up…” shit; nice job, Flightaz! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds str8; tha energy transitions from tha club to tha bed, accordin’ to these rhymes’ future…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ like an okay verse; y’all just goin’ with tha beat’s energy, basically… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it sounds like dude a lil’ off-beat, sometymes, but also just keeps rappin’; I think dude just want some pussy or just want to slang dick, instead, lol. My Rating: 3.9

Overall: You provided a dope amount of energy on this release, here; glad you brought yo patnaz, too…! This release iz a perfect example of how you’re a legendary female in tha rap game; props fa tha legacy!

Review #1,875: Lil' Soulja "Flo$$in'"

Reviewed on 12.17.2019 (Review #1,875)

Luckily, I feel a lil’ betta, today; let’s see how much I can do before I go visit work release, at 6:45… Here goes my review for Lil’ Soulja Flo$$in’, released in 1999 on Seven Figure Records & was produced by Merrill “Roc” Robinson! Start Time: 2:01 PM | End Time: 2:44 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
