Got some Beatz on tha feature, here… >>> Catchy hook and beat, here… Hearin’ you on tha 1^st verse, and you really “blowin’,” here, lol… Tha 2^nd verse iz good, here, and I don’t mind all tha “money” shit, for some reason… My Rating: 3.9

>>> “Slot machines” suck and have bad odds! That’s why, it’s all about Blackjack or Roulette! Catchy beat, and tha hook (wit dat voice) ain’t too bad… Good rhymes durin’ tha 1^st verse, here; I think this iz catchy… Tha 2^nd verse iz nice, too; always a paranoid Marcelo. :( My Rating: 4.3

05. “Writing’s On Da Wall” Feat. Fiend

>>> Great start wit tha beat, and Fiend kickin’ off tha 1^st verse! Tha hook sounds good, too, strictly stayin’ motivated… Tha 2^nd verse sounds good from you, too; it’s all about readin’ tha “writing” that’s “on tha wall.” I guess tha real title’s “Writing’s On Da Wall”? That’s what DatPiff says, but tha back cover says, “Written In The Wall”? Yuck @ tha 15 seconds of silence at tha end… My Rating: 4.3

06. “Joyride”
>>> Nice beat, and tha verses sound good, here. Glad you keepin’ it hood at all times! My Rating: 4.0

07. “2^nd To None”
>>> Not anotha “Backstabbers” song… At least it’s just a beat sample and a “what they do” part. Tha verse ain’t too bad, here, and tha singer on tha hook’s not bad, but not listed… My Rating: 3.6

½time: So far, so good. Sounds like every joint sounds good and consistent! A 4-star CD, currently!

>>> Tha beat’s decent, here, but I’m likin’ tha coughin’ in tha beginning… Not bad wit tha rhymes, here, and Curren$y comes through wit some consistent rhymes. My Rating: 3.8

This one came up as #08 on tha DatPiff tracklisting, but I’m goin’ wit tha cover and makin’ this #09… >>> Beat’s aight; rhymes are good… Short and sweet, at least. My Rating: 3.7

10. “Celebration” Feat. Skip & B3
>>> Sounds okay, once again. These beats are startin’ ta be decent for me, and not standin’ out… Tha 1^st verse’s good wit tha rhymes; let’s see how it continues… Skip on tha 2^nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some good rhymes. Let’s see what gon remain wit B3 for the 3—verse, that iz, lol! Okay, much betta ta hear a voice like this, right now! Sounds like a big bodyguard, ready ta be resistant to P.A.N.z! My Rating: 3.9

11. “Cruise Control” Feat. Corner Boy P
>>> Beat sounds jazzy, here; nice ta rap on! Good job wit tha 1^st verse, here… Damn, tha back cover ain’t list Corner Boy P on tha feature? Good thing for this DatPiff tracklisting… Seems like a really-good “smell” in tha “car” during tha 2^nd verse; I feel dat! My Rating: 4.2

12. “Roll Weed” Feat. Dee Low

I know of Beelow, so who this Dee Low dude iz? Tha DatPiff tracklisting says he goes by “The Diamond Man”? >>> Beat sounds regular; nothin’ special, but tha rhymes are aight, here, on tha 1^st verse… LOL @ tha 2^nd verse, which iz a descriptive introduction to this “Mary [Keyshia] Jane” girl… Catchy verse! My Rating: 3.8

13. “Friends With Benefits”
>>> Now, we get some coughin’? Sounds okay for tha start, here… Really just wantin’ tha “benefits,” here, on tha hook… Hearin’ tha verses, and this iz okay, overall… My Rating: 3.5

14. “Crazy World” Feat. Jason Lyric & Jerkaman

Nice collab ta end this off? >>> Beat sounds nice, here, on a slightly-dark tip… Tha 1^st verse sounds good, stayin’ “fly.” Singin’s aight on tha hook… Got tha lyrical Lyric on tha 2^nd verse, comin’ through wit some good rhymes; not bad… Jerkaman on tha 3^rd verse (DatPiff has them in tha correct order, while they’re in tha wrong order on tha back cover). This sounds pretty good, too; nice job wit tha collab! My Rating: 4.1

Overall: Nice lil’ CD, overall; this qualifies as a good CD fa me, so nice job, Celo!

Beatz on tha production, here; let’s see how this shit goes… >>> Wasn’t too sure about tha intro, here, but tha 1^st verse ain’t too bad, so far…—wait, lemme make dat one verse, and it sounds like it’s gettin’ betta wit tha consistency; not too bad… Tha end iz startin’ ta sound like Meek a lil’, which I would’ve rather’ve heard that four years ago, not now! My Rating: 3.9

02. “Gotta Get It”

Jordan David doin’ a beat for you, here. >>> Not too bad for tha rappin’, so far. Once again, just one verse it sounds like, and it’s good. Oh wait, I hear a hook and it sounds catchy; keep grindin’! My Rating: 4.0

03. “Might Not Make It”

What’s up wit this title? Phunk Dawg on tha beat… >>> Sounds good, but I think you made an error? You say, “Might not make it,” but tha title’s “Make Not Make It”? I’m gonna fix it ‘cause I said so, lol! Beat doesn’t sound like it would be Phunk; it sounds too much like typical, trap rap of today, which iz kinda boring. But, for tha song itself, it ain’t that blah-blah-y… Tha rest sounds okay; nothin’ standin’ out fa me, but whateva. My Rating: 3.7

04. “Talk 2 You”

Beat by DJ Mathematics; hope it’s good! >>> Ehh, I dunno about a sample (Keyshia Cole); I don’t like (and don’t get) when people put random samples in songs… As far as your rappin’, there’s not much to say; I think 3:50’s a lil’ too long for a song like this. My Rating: 3.1

05. “Play With Me” Feat. Magnolia Chop

Y.E. Beatz, here. >>> Didn’t know what ta expect at first, but good hook from Magnolia! Still, tha same-soundin’ beats of tha typical music of today? Yawn… But, tha rhymes on tha verses sound good, here. If this iz a mixtape, then why are most of these songs really long? Sick of tha Rick Ross-type shit/quotes on tha 3^rd verse; what’s with everyone dickridin’ him? He’s fake; no need to dickride tha fake! My Rating: 3.7

06. “For The People”

Yung Mil beat; not anticipatin’ this length! >>> I’m likin’ tha beat a whole lot; tha hook ain’t too bad on this track… So far, this iz off to an okay start; lemme hear tha verses… Good “internet / Jeezy” part wit tha rhymes; I liked hearin’ dat! You sound a lil’ like The Show on this joint wit tha voice; that’s a plus, Louisiana style! Good outro from a different show (lol) at tha end, too! My Rating: 4.1

Y.E. Beatz on this one, again. >>> Ooh, real nice beat start; sounds like it could be played somewhere! I almost thought I was expectin’ EDM music wit tha HQ beginning, but this HQ feel’s got me in tha mood! Strange vocals on tha hook, but this iz nice and catchy, flamin’ hot!! Too bad tha length’s 4:33, smfh! How ‘bout 3:00? Why not 3:01? Great job wit your verses; learn to shrink tha lengths of your mixtape songs!! My Rating: 4.2

08. “Crazy Stupid” Feat. Josh Gates

Lookin’ forward ta this collaboration, wit Y.E. Beatz on tha beat! Hope tha length’s short… *Checks length* Okay, 3:13, that’s reasonable! >>> Good job wit tha hook, here; I’m likin’ this beat a lot, too! Good shit on tha 1^st verse, includin’ “smearin’ bitches’ lipstick;” damn! Max Minelli start? I dunno about your verse; hate hearin’ tha word “swag!” What happened to tha word “style,” and straight words? This whole rap world sounds like males kissing each other, these dayz, smh! Lyrics sound a lil’ betta as tha verse continues, but I wasn’t all tha way impressed! My Rating: 3.8

Ben Rosen on tha beat. >>> Ehh, not feelin’ tha start wit tha singer; tha length’s also gonna get me bored fast… Even though this sounds boring wit tha beat and nothin’ really catchin’ on, it ain’t tha worst… My Rating: 3.1

10. “iPhone”

A Yung Shun beat; let’s hear… >>> Not really into tha topic, that much, but it’s a catchy hook and beat, combined. Tha flow ain’t really for me, but this ain’t too bad, either… Some of it’s good, though, wit tha “got whateva you want, holla at cha boy” shit… My Rating: 3.6

11. “She Don’t Understand”

Y.E. Beatz, here. >>> Random intro? Ugh, tha long length again! This iz so not for me, especially since a Louisiana rapper borrowed $555 from me and didn’t pay me back a penny, yet, and it’s almost a year to tha day! Flow’s nice and slow wit tha beat, but I think what would make me like this (kinda) iz for us to do business; money’s tha only answer for me now, especially since I did 238472903842340238940820423948320423904239049023904239402390423890942384902349023 different things fa Louisiana by now! My Rating: 3.4

12. “Worth Fighting For”

Beat Gaterz beat. >>> Anotha one not for me, even though it’s a lil’ catchy; here we go again wit tha males kissing each other-soundin’ hook! I sound betta sayin’ that I’m pickin’ my nose through this, right now… Oh yea, tha length’s a big turn off fa this random song! My Rating: 3.7 (!!!)

Y.E. Beatz, here. >>> Length’s finally normal, even though tha beat could be a lil’ betta. I think you need some original production ta back you up… Tha hook sounds catchy, in a somewhat-good mainstream perspective… Tha verses sound good wit this beat, too. My Rating: 3.7

14. “I Get Money” Feat. Mr. Marcelo, Jerkaman & Mr. Real Estate

Y.E. Beatz; even though a nice-lookin’ collaboration, I’m not lookin’ forward to a title like this! >>> Bad intro, but an okay hook. Yucky lyrics on tha 1^st verse; “money” iz now a reason why I hate certain mainstream rap shit today! Oh, and false-underground shit, too! Even though this iz super-long, at least there’s features on this! Tha 2^nd verse ain’t too bad, except tha extended lyrics about “money.” Tha 3^rd dude I can say tha same about… Tha 4^th verse has a better voice, and tha lyrics are a lil’ betta… My Rating: 3.9

15. “Make You Love Me”

Legit beat. >>> Ehh, not into a sample again! Doesn’t sound bad wit your rappin’ on this beat, though, but tha sample ain’t too much for me… A lil’ long; this prolly could’ve been a minute shorter. My Rating: 3.0

16. “I’m Gone” Feat. M11

Y.E. Beatz; not feelin’ this length! >>> Ehh, this iz okay… I’m likin’ how you’re comin’ through on tha 1^st verse on this beat; sounds like you can hold err-body down… Tha 2^nd verse sounds like you’re too obsessed wit “swag” and that males-kissing-each-other word!! Tha 3^rd verse ain’t too bad, either, but this could be a lil’ boring wit tha same kinda content… My Rating: 3.3

17. “No Worries (Remix)”

It’s tha last joint on this CD, and it’s removed from tha DatPiff folder. Gonna get a 30-second sample; maybe tha false features (Lil’ Wayne & Detail) are why it’s removed? >>> Too Meek for me, and tha others ruin it! Takin’ them outta tha feature! My Rating: 1.3

Overall: Could’ve been better. If making mixtapes, try shortening tha songs—that’s anotha thing: I dunno why artists only make what they call, “mixtapes,” these dayz. It’s like, what happened to albums? I remember hearin’ on this CD somethin’ like, “Rest in peace Lil’ Phat.” Well, last year, Lil’ Phat put out Never Use A Pen Again; if you guys love him so much, why not make an album like him? I know I’m goin’ on about this, but I wanna go back to tha dayz where there were no mixtapes!! I’ll cry like a fuckin’ baby!! But yea, keep rappin’ and stay connected wit me!

Review #3 for today iz DJ 5150 & Dre N.O. To The B.R. 7; I finally put tha periods in tha title, since I was unsure tha previous times. Also, this iz 1:47:19?  Guess this wasn’t released on CD? I don’t think cheatin’ tha length iz a good idea… especially, when I have a feelin’ there’ll prolly be novelty, or repetitive artists on here (not sayin’ I looked at tha tracklisting, yet, but that’s what I usually expect, sometimes, wit these compilations). >>> Sounds like this should get exposure, like tha “Nolia Clap” dayz. Even though when I was 15, 16, I used to think, “that music was okay, and would always be big.” Now, I’m 23, and it’s like, “that music’s tight, but it never really gets out in tha MTVs and all dat, anymore.”  Definitely a jam, here, between tha beat, tha catchy hook, Var doin’ tha damn thang, and Gizzle doin’ a nice job, too! My Rating: 4.6

>>> Sounds like an early 2000s Louisiana vibe, here! Sounds like it could be “big” wit tha sound, here! Ooh, a “shi-shi-shi-shit yea” start to tha 1st verse; nice combo of tha “shi”s!! Speakin’ of a “no-namer,” here’s tha statuses of how people should be divided in: no CD out; a CD out; on TV; that’s how I look at who’s big and who’s in tha same circle. Overall, this iz a decent/good song for me. My Rating: 4.2

>>> Playaz Circle song from ’07 on tha sample? Lookin’ at who’s on tha song, it’s ironic dat tha watered-down, David Guetta/Usher “Without You” just came on; those two go wit these two! DG = too pop, not too dance; LW/Birdman = too pop, not too Louisiana. Nothin’ actually bad, here; at least Wayne & Baby delivered a non-wack song, finally. My Rating: 3.3

Good morning, lol. It’s ya boy FrankieThaLuckyDog, on tha start of my Fall break ‘til Wednesday! I gon get buku shit outta tha way right now, so ta start it off, lemme review Calliope Var. I discovered this dude from Jimmy The DJ’s Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 3 CD, so now, I gon learn more about him! Here goes my review fa Calliope Var Hoodstar! Start Time: 11:31 AM | End Time: 12:31 PM


Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Let’s start tha mixtape! >>> It started off wit no intro! Soundin’ pretty good wit tha beat and tha vibe here! Let’s see how you do rappin’… Yea, this iz good! Definitely feelin’ tha street lyrics here; I agree wit what you’re sayin’! Nice job, Jimmy, for introducin’ me to anotha rapper! We’ll let Jimmy be tha king of tha introductions to tha N.O. people now that I’m more focused/popular on Baton Rouge peeps! Enjoyed tha 1st verse, fa sho! Lookin’ forward to tha next one!! Luv all his “purp” lyrics/references! Nice lil’ “14, sellin’ cane” shit too! And soundin’ real motivated wit “can make 100 grand in a week” when it comes to tha streetz; that’s watz REALLY good!! My Rating: 4.4

Looks like a good set of features wit a GR8 title/theme, so this should equal a REAL GOOD song!! >>> Intro sounds anticipatin’, and sounds like a “movie,” lol. Tha beat sounds like a mix of New York Rap music vs. a “movie,” lol. Sounds like a good 1st verse, keepin’ it street! I like tha talkin’ also after tha 1st verse; nice shit here! Nice shit goin’ on in tha 2nd verse; on its drug shit! Yea, DEFINITELY a nice 2nd verse, and tha talkin’ that goes on (in replace of a hook) reminds me of older CDs in my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon! And we got true thug lyrics in tha 3rd verse too! Very consistent here wit all tha lyrics, rhymes, and flows!! I like tha 3rd verse a lot too, especially endin’ it wit, “nigga.” My Rating: 4.3


03. “Home Of The Dope (Calliope Anthem)” Feat. Kayotic
Prediction of top song on this CD? Looks like it based off tha title!! >>> A lil’ different beat start here, and it sounds pretty good! Lookin’ like a REAL nice fusion of tha beat and content here!! Feelin’ that repetitive hook goin’ on wit tha title; works REAL nice on this type of music!! Tha 1st verse iz soundin’ GOOD; str8 N.O. street music here that sounds NICE! Gr8 shit, and now, tha 2nd verse… It doesn’t list a feature, but he said, “Kayotic,” so I’m assumin’ Kayotic iz on tha 2nd verse. Anyway, tha shit iz soundin’ good, and I’m glad there was a “hidden” feature on here! Real cold ending too. Not sure about top song yet, so I’ll tie it wit tha 1st song! My Rating: 4.4


04. “Like Yeah” Feat. Mr. Marcelo
Tha last song was your “anthem,” so will this be an “anthem” too, lol? It looks like it!! >>> And it’s much longer this time, clockin’ at about 4:25 on tha length! Tha beat changed a lil’ on tha hook, and it’s still soundin’ NICE!! This shit sounds REAL good, so this iz a DEFINITE plus!! Really likin’ tha hook here, as it’s on its positive shit! Tha 1st verse from you iz sounded GR8! Everything spit iz for tha streetz, so y’all “non-street” people can’t handle it! Tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ good too; good job on tha consistency!! Mr. Marcelo doin’ tha damn thang on tha 2nd verse here; makes you wanna say, “yeah!!,” for tha verses and song! No 3rd verse? Sounds like it gon be a long, chantin’ ending I guess… Okay, that was just tha bridge ‘cause tha hook iz repeatin’! Nice job on tha beat endin’ too, as it was tha same as tha intro! My Rating: 4.5

I’m assumin’ there’s a “y” missin’ for “money.” Let’s see how you gon do it, as this joint iz even longer now (4:53)! >>> A drum roll for tha intro? What will it lead into? Okay, sounds like an anticipatin’, goin’ hard type start wit tha Rock sound in tha beginning! Yea, I was right about tha title bein’ “money;” nice hook! Tha hook iz tha truth, and I’m sure you gon continue that on tha 1st verse! Yea, DEFINITELY feelin’ tha street/drug deal approach!! DEFINITELY a NICE 1st verse, and I KNOW this song gon have at least 3 verses!! Yea, ANOTHA REAL GOOD start to tha 2nd verse wit tha “purp” and shit; REALLY grindin’ here wit all tha “money!” REAL NICE drug shit around tha 2:40 mark too! Yes, a 3rd verse, and it’s you basically tellin’ tha truth in tha streetz! REALLY on its “money” shit here on this verse; good shit! TIGHT shit right here!! Tha ratings are REALLY consistent!!! Tha titles just keep gettin’ BETTA & BETTA!! Tha length decreased ta 2:53, so let’s see how quick I can absorb tha interest in this song!! >>> Wit a short length, you KNOW there was no intro!! Went STR8 to tha hook, and it’s DEFINITELY GRIMY!!! REALLY on its gangsta shit right now wit tha REAL deep voice, as well as tha gangsta-ass shit goin’ on here!! Keep spittin’ this trap shit right here ‘cause it’s DEFINITELY gr8, as I’m hearin’ tha 1st verse right now!! REAL GOOD job on tha 1st verse!! This CD just gettin’ BETTA & BETTA!!! Quite ironic that this title came up ‘cause now on Music Choice Electronica, there’s this new Electronic/Techno song by Udachi & Jubilee called “Paypur,” and I luv how it has Curren$y samples in it from “Where Da Cash At?” wit its kick-ass beat!! I’m assumin’ this has tha same sample ‘cause in that “Paypur” song, it says, “dime a dozen;” let’s see!! >>> Tha beat iz a lil’ different, but it’s not that bad. Yup, this iz tha same sample. Let’s see how tha verses go… It’s Marcelo on tha 1st verse, and tha verses are still raw! Sounds like a conversation in tha 1st verse wit tha, “And she like,” and then, “I’m like,” type shit. Pretty good 1st verse; let’s see tha 2nd verse… I thought it was just a sample, but no, it’s Curren$y himself, lol! Pretty good rappin’ here; reminds me of a Lil’ Wayne style almost; good job. Nice job on tha 3rd verse too, comin’ up in tha streetz of N.O., ya dig! This joint flowed pretty good, I must say. My Rating: 4.0

Looks like anotha REAL TIGHT joint right here wit tha title!! A short length of 2:40, so let’s see how quick it’ll last… >>> Anotha weird beat song? Good hook, but no comment on tha beat, especially tha stupid female vocal sample in tha background; str8 ruins tha excitement for me! Good thing this iz short! Sounds like a baby whinin’ in tha verse! Good job on tha lyrics though, but that doesn’t just cut it! At least tha 2nd verse has some trap type lyrics, but still, that “whinin’ baby” in tha verse! A real song right here, but all those negatives attack tha rating, sadly! Doesn’t turn out that bad though; what’s wit tha really fast, cold ending? My Rating: 3.4

Anotha real/hood title here, but I HOPE you have tha production game up fa this one too!! Can’t have it depressin’ like tha last song! >>> Okay, a lil’ betta here; sounds like tha #6 song’s hook, which I’m feelin’! Nice job on tha 1st verse; I like tha “muthafuck me? Naw, muthafuck you” shit! Tha lyrics go pretty good here, and I’m glad they keep it street wit this good beat! Tha start to tha 2nd verse sounds like it gon go hard!! “Crack ya fuckin’ head like a #2 pencil;” I must say, “SHARP,” lol!! Yes, tha 2nd verse DID its thang!!! This was tha song Jimmy featured on his Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 3! Glad he picked it ‘cause on 1st listen, I rated it a 4.6! But, thanx to Jimmy, it looks like tha ID on DatPiff iz missin’ Magnolia Chop! Either way, it has a NICE start here, and I’m DEFINITELY feelin’ tha 2009 Bounce feel in tha beat, lol! Gotta luv tha “dunn-dunn-dunn-dunn” Bounce beat! GREAT hood rappin’ here on tha 1st verse from you, doin’ tha damn thang to tha max!! Luv tha “blowin’ on purp” shit; tight shit here! Tha hook here iz DEFINITELY nice too; great ½ singin’/rappin’! Tight shit, and tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ good too from Mr. Marcelo! Fuckin’ feelin’ these rhymes, as they mix GREAT wit tha uptempo beat here!!! Keep tha rhymes comin’, y’all!! Not sure about tha title… I was like this wit tha 1st song, but tha 1st song turned out REAL good; let’s see this one… >>> Although there’s that gay female vocal sample in tha background, this one AT LEAST ain’t depressin’!! Tha beat DEFINITELY goes hard here wit tha Rock/dramatic/Hip-Hop feel!! Early hustla here wit “jumped off tha porch, 15, sellin’ green.” DEFINITELY feelin’ these rhymes right here, so this iz a plus!! This iz when I like story rhymes, and I’m glad you broke down what you did from 15 – 17! Tha hook iz REAL GR8, and I’m glad it’s REAL long too!! Hood shit goin’ on here in tha 2nd verse! By lookin’ at it havin’ only 1:08 left, it doesn’t look like it’ll have a 3rd verse… Either way, DEFINITELY holdin’ it down here!! Nice sign-off, and this joint DEFINITELY turned out REAL good!! Tha last song… How will it last for “me?” >>> Okay, good, not a depressin’ start!! Looks like it gon go hard again!! Sounds like Halloween music, lol. Soundin’ like a long intro… You shouted out some people… Although DatPiff doesn’t list it, are they featured on here? Over a minute in; iz this gonna be a song, or just a skit nearly 4 minutes long? Neva mind, tha rappin’ finally came in at 1:16! Tha 1st verse iz soundin’ like it goin’ REAL HARD right here!! GR8 shit fa tha streetz!! What iz up wit tha talkin’ in tha background, repeatin’ throughout tha whole thing? REAL NICE freestyle outro track here; GR8 shit!! You REALLY did tha damn thang for 1:32 straight!! It was just you holdin’ this joint down; glad you gave all these shout outs out! My Rating: 4.3


Overall: Tha review last exactly an hour, and it was DEFINITELY a gr8 one!! What a NICE comeback for New Orleans for me!! As long as CDs are like this, then they’re DEFINITELY watz good!!
