Review #1,474: Lil' Boxx "HustleVeli: Grind Motivation 101 (Hosted by Big Jay, Pyrex Radio)"

Reviewed on 7.14.2015 (Review #1,474)

Got a long-awaited review I finna do, right now! Pretty exciting day, as I got fulla dat shit with my girl earlier in tha day, so you know today’s on point!! Thought I was gon be nice and high durin’ this review, but tha plug still at work; it all good, though! But anyway, we gon have an exciting review, here! Sponsored by Big Faces Entertainment, I finna review Lil’ Boxx HustleVeli: Grind Motivation 101 (Hosted by Big Jay, Pyrex Radio)! I had been connected with Boxx since March 5, 2009, tha 1st day I smoked! He’s always been loyal and neva been a bitch, unlike 95% of tha music biz I’ve dealt with! Boxx hasn’t released a mixtape since 2009 and his Bring The Pain Vol. 2: Word Of Mouf disc; a lotta evolution has occurred since! I haven’t had a disc out since 2010, so when I drop mine, you’ll see a ton of evolution! Think: I wasn’t even drivin’ to places on my own, yet! But, until that moment comes, lemme go ‘head and review you! Start Time: 8:26 PM | End Time: 9:44 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Who I Am”
And, looka! This was what my debut single was called! Glad it’s your opening track to this new CD of yours! Production from someone by tha name of A Wizzle, here! >>> Sounds a lil’ on tha gutta side, here; pretty nice start! Definitely diggin’ this beat, especially when it adds a G-Funk-y sound to it around :42! “CVS… GPS… PBS… see me stress;” real nice!! You really killin’ it with tha rhymes, here!! I love how your voice sounds a lil’ different, here, like you’ve grown! Can’t imagine what mine gon sound like tha next time I record a track! I haven’t recorded a new track since I’ve worked, but I’ve been freestylin’ a lot betta, these dayz! “Sharper than a harpoon;” whoo! Really killin’ it ‘round tha 2:00 mark!! Such consistency at its finest!! Excellent openin’ track, pickin’ up right where we left off witchu!! “Roamin’ like a data plan;” you really killin’ it wit these non-stop rhymes!! “Ah, you know!!” My Rating: 4.7

02. “I’m Back At It”
“Ah, you know;” already!! Jay Beatz doin’ this beat, here; leggo!! >>> Wow, this sounds like a much-betta intro track!! Definitely diggin’ this hook as it reminds me of tha older, great times of Baton Rouge music!! Really feelin’ this hook a whole lot!! You got tha holdin’ tha notes on lock!! And, daaaaaaaaaaaaaaam @ tha 1st verse; you really on fire!!! So much to devour!!! And, I feel your aggression on tha 2nd verse; can’t deny it!! Even when you randomly drop a few “money” rhymes or references, these rhymes and this aggression covers it up! Like, I don’t have to stare at tha speakers and be like, “Ugh, ‘money’ shit; boooooorrrringgg!!” You know?! My Rating: 4.8

03. “Errbody Know Me” feat. Lil’ Cali
Seems like a good flashback, right before I lost my cousin to heroin on December 14, 2011 and right around I got robbed $555 for tha 1st time. I was really obsessed wit Louisiana music at tha time, lol! My own music awards, my own mixtape compilations, my own radio show, ROFL! I had no life! And now, “errbody” I fuck wit in person are, like, 22, and I was 23 at tha time. They have more active in-person lives than I had! But yeah, still pretty hot wit Wodie On The Beat on tha beat! Just like how I said back in 2011, great beat, great aggression, “no introduction” needed & great job collabin’ wit Calitastic! LOL, Cali all obsessed wit “stacks” and shit on his verse. Since this was right before I first got robbed, I let it slide. But, if this came out now, I would’ve prolly been like, “Ahh, ear-bleeding!! No, no, no, Cali!!!,” ha ha! My Current Rating: 4.4

04. “Music Symbols & Dollar Signs”
Oh yeah, this nice one, too! Think I first heard it when I was already hired and its content was not ear-bleeding for me, luckily, lol. Like O did tha track, here! Still sounds like a nice lil’ money anthem for this generation of underground music… Of course, because DJ B-Real blocked me on February 5, 2014, there’s almost no more underground Louisiana adds on my playlist. If this would’ve been a few years older, it would’ve easily been a playlist add. Anotha thing iz no one gives me their music (music if I’m close witchu) or CDs on time, anymore, so it’s not like I want old music on my playlist! It sux that everyone raps about “money,” these dayz. Like, are we shocked that it’s 2015 and someone’s rappin’ about “watch me yuuugh” and all those gay dances from tha jigg dayz with “Watch Me/Nae Nae”? They need to have a jigg resurrection and bury all tha shitty “get money rap” bullshit in a ground fulla piss and asbestos! My Current Rating: 4.3

05. “Nasty” feat. Dre Chatman & Airee Renee
Looks like it could be an okay collaboration? Rich On Da Track doin’ tha track, here… Feels like I only see his name when it’s you or Nu$$ie, even when it’s 2015! >>> No intro needed; an okay hook—sounds betta than some of tha shit out now? Some of tha background vocals throw me off with tha stupid auto-tune and tha “gettin’ to this money” shit’s kinda like, “Why?” Either way, I don’t mind this… I think tha both of them singin’ on tha hook’s a nice way to collab! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, here, and it sounds consistent; gotta go all in her! Could imagine when that day’ll be for me? “Errbody” gotta quit this post-ponin’/no-showin’ shit on me, first! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s nice ta hear with your grown self. However, I thought tha song was about gettin’ “nasty?” Had ta throw anotha “money” rhyme in tha song, Boxx? Hmm… My Rating: 3.7

06. “I Don’t Think”
Let’s see how you randomly “think” of shit on this one, produced by EQ! *EDIT* Damn, 0:00 on tha length? Tha file fucked up… Lemme go see what I can find… *Checks online* Lucky for me, I found a YouTube video! >>> This sounds real nice; luv tha hook! Excellent with how you rap tha hook wit tha beat sounds! Excellent-soundin’ track!! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit dat consistency on tha track, once again; gotta luv your rhymes!! “Question my authority or assassinate my character…;” wow, real dope with tha 2nd verse, here!!! My Rating: 4.5

07. “Sick & Tired”
Kinda like a low-anticipated song title, here, but with EQ Tha Misfit on tha beat, it might make me like it betta? >>> Yeah, it sounds like a nice anthem with tha hook, here; nice beat, too! Kinda how I feel in tha music biz: “I’m sick & tired of…” tha music biz not showin’ me tha value I deserve! Like, why don’t I have tha likes I deserve? How come no one know what my life like, now? Nobody follow me in a true fashion! Proceeding, here comes tha 1st verse and you’re really goin’ off, here! Gotta have all dat energy! Quoting people at my job: “How are you so energetic?” Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s just as good as tha 1st verse! “People changin’ on me…;” of course! Weird in my case ‘cause usually, it’s like, when niggaz be gettin’ money, they change on you! Well, I’m tha one wit a steady income, and almost err-body changed on me! Like, why? Tha music biz died in 2013! No more phones, no more luv; 2013 was tha music biz’s final year! And, B-Real blocking me really killed my Louisiana passion! So, a review like this iz hard to come by!! My Rating: 4.3

½time: Off to an excellent, consistent, grimy, 225-y start here, Boxx!! Just as I expected, but only betta! You are a perfect example as to why I be havin’ so much energy at my job! Immortal energy’s hard to come by when others are “tired,” you know?! You’re at a 4.4 for tha CD rating, currently; thumbs up!! Before I continue, lemme just flash back and see how long ago that Bring The Pain Mixtape Vol. 2: Word Of Mouf review was… *Checks* Ha ha, it was Review #313; that was 1,161 reviewz ago!!!

08. “No Luv”
Production from Grind Music, here (formerly just known as “Grind”, meaning, tha ChaYsuh “Grind”?); lookin’ forward ta hearin’ fa some reason… >>> Actually, my anticipation backfired at me; not feelin’ this sample and tha beat’s kinda plain for me, as far as a southern beat! Reminds me of you-know-who who robbed me that $555 in 2011! It reminds me of somethin’ they would make with this sample! However, you did a nice job with tha hook and your aggression… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s very consistent to where tha sample’s overshadowed by your tight, consistent rhymes!! “I chew a beat like a gusher;” holy, gushing!!! Ahh, here you go wit havin’ to throw a “money” reference on tha 2nd verse, here, off top… Uh…, once again, nice, consistent rhymes, regardless. And, a long beat outro with that sample… Uh, anybody wanna rob $555 from me now? Was a close call to whether or not I like this betta than “Nasty”, but I think I approve that one more. My Rating: 3.5

09. “No Pass” feat. General Mark
Yes, we have a new feature on tha feature! And, it’s an EQ-produced track, so I know this one gon go ham! Pay off, anticipation level!! >>> Almost thought it was K Camp “Lil’ Bit” on that first second of tha beat; nice tease! Sounds like a tight street anthem between your aggression and tha way this beat sounds on tha hook! And, at :28, it sounds like Mark made his debut with a quick lil’ appearance! Hearin’ tha title part and it was pretty nice; reminds me of anotha song that’s been out? Hearin’ Mark in tha background about niggaz bein’ “broke” or somethin’ and I’m thinkin’, “Oh, no, don’t be obsessed with money on tha verse!!” And, “no pass,” here, as far as waiting, since he’s on tha 1st verse… Okay, I give him credit; sounds pretty nice. He sounds like he’s got anotha great voice like yours. You sound all hyper and shit ‘cause you’re skinner like me, I believe? I bet he weighs more than you and has a lil’ slower flow ‘cause of that, lol, but it qualifies for quality! “Drop nuts like elephants;” large!! LOL, a bag of regular coffee beans was open this morning and I was like, “It’s like a pouch of a kangaroo bein’ extra pregnant,” or somethin’, lol! With that bein’ said, you got a consistent verse goin’ on here, Boxx, on tha 2nd verse; definitely nice!! Oh yeah, tha hook easily reminds me of Migos “One Time”! “Only tell you one time, only tell you one time. Only tell you one time, only tell you one time.” “You don’t get no pass, you don’t get no pass. You don’t get no pass, you don’t get no pass,” lol! Hearin’ you on tha 3rd verse and damn, you keepin’ this shit goin’ wit tha consistent, manual-depectin’ rhymes!! Nice beat outro, too; luvin’ this Louisiana version of Migos “One Time”!! My Rating: 4.6

10. “Came A Long Way” feat. Kevin Gates
Speakin’ of 1,161 reviewz ago, here we are again! LOL, back when my girl was only 16—what!!! Kevin Gates has paved tha way for us! Like, I neva thought a record label would drive to my house ‘cause they discovered that I blogged/reviewz Gates since ’08! Like, I’m in Mass Appeal Records’ magazine ‘cause of Gates! Tha magazine article’s out now: http://massappeal.com/doggystyle-frankie-tha-lucky-dog/
Luv life!! I celebrate all tha time!! But, to make this one short and quick, pure production from Rich On Da Track, here, and you got tha verses on lock with tha catchy, Baton Rouge-livin’ rhymes! And, with Gates on tha hook, it’s definitely somethin’ to embrace! This was right before he got arrested in ’09 and when I talked to you, you explained, “I only wanted Gates on tha hook ‘cause when Game had Lil’ Wayne on ‘My Life’, he only had Wayne on tha hook. I wanted to create somethin’ like that;” you did a nice job wit that! My Current Rating: 4.7

11. “They Hate It” feat. Samuel Maurice
Got anotha newbie here, with PK Beats on tha beat! Lemme see… >>> Kinda sounds like a bullshit, mainstream-soundin’ beat start, here… Beat kinda gets a lil’ interesting on tha hook, but still a lil’ poppy… Tha hook ain’t too bad, but kinda 1D with tha “they hate me” content… We got you on tha 1st verse and tha flow’s kinda catchy… “Neva fold like lawn chairs on Labor Day;” wow, totally from left field, lol!! Excellent lyrical skillz on tha 2nd verse!!! Can’t deny how much you can roll so much shit off your tongue!!! “Powerball like lottery;” lol, you know!! My Rating: 4.3

12. “Loyalty”
A1 Productions beat, here; lemme see what we got goin’ on… >>> Feelin’ tha beat start; sounds like it gon be some consistent, southern shit! Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds real nice! Like how you start tha hook off wit, “OMG, Heavenly Father…;” nice! Feelin’ you and this loyal street banga! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and, of course, you got tha consistency on lock, here!! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice; definitely feelin’ what you bringin’ to tha table at all times!! My Rating: 4.4

13. “Lighters Up”
Let’s hear it, produced by The Dream Beats… >>> Feelin’ tha start, here, as you talk about “Mother Nature recreatin’ tha trees,” even though it’s about “money,” lol! And, you’re continuously goin’ on wit these consistent rhymes; definitely feelin’ ‘em! Wow @ tha 2nd verse, as well! Damn @ tha “preacher catchin’ bodies,” or whateva that comparison was! And, 1:05 on tha outro? Seemed like it flew by… My Rating: 4.0

14. “Courageous” feat. DJ Mario
Vyruz Beatz doin’ tha track, here, with a DJ on tha feature… Let’s see, despite anotha DJ hosting, lol… >>> August Alsina on tha hook? Kinda sounds like tha worst quality on this CD… Really not diggin’ this mainstream shit at all! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s good with your consistency; lemme leave it at dat! Tha last few bars of tha 1st verse was 100% quality with how you rambled so much off your tongue!! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice ta hear, too; good job… My Rating: 3.1

15. “Lying”
Same producer from tha last joint, here… Have a feelin’ this gon be bleh, but let’s see… >>> “We gon grind fa Instagram likes;” really, Big Jay? Sucks that “likes” defines how popular someone iz, smh! But, hearin’ this and this ain’t as bad as tha previous song. Tha hook ain’t too bad, but this beat and track seems too plain… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s real nice ta hear your consistent rhymes, once again. However, you could’ve rapped this on a Baton Rouge beat! “I’m outchea like open cleavage;” tit-tayz!!! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice, too; can’t deny this… Neva would’ve thought “Britney Spears” and “Oops…I Did It Again” would come outta your mouth! Nice “lying” and “tiger to a lion” parts to compare, too, in tha hook! My Rating: 3.5

Overall: I thought you did an excellent job wit this CD! Most of tha production’s on point and you had some nice features, too! Your undeniable energy can’t be stopped and you know what you’re doin’ as far as stayin’ consistent! Glad you neva been cocky about yourself and have stayed true to bein’ connected wit me! That’s what’s up! Keep up tha grind!

Review #1,060: D Boy Repasenta "Struggle Within"

Reviewed on 8.17.2011 (Review #1,060)

Comin’ up next, it’s tha final D Boy Repasenta CD I got ta review before I’m caught up. LOL, tha release date on this one iz March 1, 2011; lol, not tha 3rd? Funny…; here’s my review for his Struggle Within CD! Start Time: 12:16 PM | End Time: 12:45 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “I Want It All”
LOL, startin’ off wit one I heard! My Current Rating: 4.7

02. “Set This Bitch On Fire”
Let’s hear it! >>> Sounds a lil’ funny wit how you gon “set this bitch on fire;” nice beat intro, too! I like tha “blowin’ haze” shit; you definitely got some “fire” ta offer! LOL, fast rappin’ on tha verses; glad you keepin’ tha entertainment comin’! My Rating: 4.2

03. “I Wanna Be A Millionaire”
LOL, looks like your “Million” song from tha previous CD. >>> Not really tha kinda lyrics that I go for but this ain’t too bad for a song, overall. My Rating: 3.5

04. “Addicted To Money (Remix)” Feat. Rick Ross & Birdman
SMH @ tha features! >>> You sound good but deduction for tha false features! My Rating: 2.4

05. “I’m In Love With Myself”
LOL @ tha “myy self” instead of “myself”! Heard this previusly and I gave it a… My Current Rating: 4.3

06. “I’ve Been Rollin’ (Remix)” Feat. Knat & Lil’ Sheppard
Likin’ this collaboration; hope it turns out ta be good! >>> Who’s this “Josh on tha track”? Did it say, “Cold Josh”? Either way, feelin’ tha beat, here; although a “rollin’” song, it sounds like a ridin’ song! Definitely some kick-ass music, here, thanx to tha hook from Knat and that tightness!! Feelin’ what he’s bringin’ on tha 1st verse, too; he’s got his mind right, since he’s fully “focused!” Tha 2nd verse iz Sheppard and he’s pretty focused; likin’ tha focus he’s bringin’ to tha track, here! LOL, here you are on tha 3rd verse and I’m feelin’ your attitude; lol, talk about tha “rollin’” attitude! My Rating: 4.4

07. “Why It Gotta Be Like This”
>>> This doesn’t sound depressin’ or anything; feelin’ tha catchiness on tha hook wit this nice beat! Not bad wit tha rhymes, here; at least they’re about you, which iz a plus. My Rating: 3.8

08. “Please Don’t Die”
>>> A lil’ too much goin’ on here wit tha emotion in tha beginning? Unexpected, but this iz tha depressin’ side I’m hearin’… However, at least you sound like a character on tha mic, so at least this has some entertainment in it! BTW, I dunno why people would even think of dyin’; ain’t it a ton of decades away? Golden Rule: Don’t get into any drama or fights wit people! My Rating: 3.6

09. “Livin’ In Darkness”
>>> Not too depressin’, here; I’m likin’ tha catchy hook wit tha hyped-up “pray for me, pray for me!” Thumbs up fa tha flow; it’s keepin’ my attention, here! My Rating: 3.8

10. “Everyday” Feat. A.O.
What could this be? >>> Beat sounds much betta, especially wit some chokin’/weed shit in tha beginning! A.O. a singer? I’m actually likin’ this; very catchy wit tha beat! You sound good wit your rhymes, too; seem like you got your focus and image on lock, here, except wit “tha cops,” lol. Overall, thumbs up fa this shit; a catchy, lil’ smooth-soundin’ song fa me ta enjoy! My Rating: 4.0

½time: Not too bad, right here; I think this iz tha least-favorite CD for me, though: 3.9 for tha CD rating, currently.

11. “Life Of The Dopeman”
Looks like a good title… >>> Nice lil’ intro of a scene! I like how this sounds; sounds like some Winter-type music dat you’d roam around, 007 style! Tha hook’s official; you really have this trap shit on lock! LOL, a lil’ Jeezyish wit tha ad-libs, here; they sound funny, but mix great wit err-thang goin’ on! My Rating: 4.3

12. “See A Better Me”
What could this be about? >>> Sounds like an entertainin’ Butla on tha voice, this time! This sounds like it could be a Jeezy song wit tha beat and tha shit you rappin’ ‘bout iz pretty good, too, D Boy Repasenta style. My Rating: 3.9

13. “All I Know”
Good thing some of these songs are short ‘cause it blends good wit radio show lengths! >>> Catchy hook; likin’ it! Tha beat sounds like it could be nice and Southern for you, here! LOL, Jeezy shit goin’ on wit tha flow; likin’ it, once again. My Rating: 3.8

14. “The Weatherman” Feat. Lil’ One The Champ
>>> Not bad; good shit from Mr. Champ on tha 1st verse, even though what does this sex shit have ta do wit “the weatherman”? I think it should do wit me ‘cause I’m worth more than what ladies need! You’re on tha 2nd verse and overall, I don’t think this really for me; a lil’ too much about money, even though you at least have tha hustlin’ shit on here. My Rating: 3.4

15. “D Boy On Sum Other Shit”
What could this be? >>> Iz “D Boy” a part of tha title? Sounds like “sum” serious “shit” wit this screwed hook! Sounds like you’re bringin’ tha heat on tha rhymes; lol, make sure you “flash out” ‘cause tha energy applies great on tha mic! Really feelin’ tha energy you bringin’ on this track, D Boy! My Rating: 4.1

16. “I’m Grindin’” Feat. Dre Chatman
Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ dis! >>> Yea, this iz a plus; definitely feelin’ tha anthematic “money” hook from Dre! Now, this iz more like it, vs. #14! I’m feelin’ what you bringin’ to tha table on this track; definitely tha attitude when it comes ta “grindin’!” Shit, I think this even has a positive mainstream feel to it, too! Iz dat Dre rappin’ on tha 2nd verse? Sounds good, regardless! My Rating: 4.2

17. “Going Through Sum Thangs”
Damn, not “threw” instead of “through”! >>> This sounds like some Jeezy/trap music, based off tha beat, here. Sounds like it’s pretty catchy and can’t be stopped, lol; that’s what it iz when it’s tha D Boy Repasenta formula! My Rating: 3.7

18. “Behind Tha Dark Tint”
Likin’ this title; thought it was Behind The Music for a sec, lol! >>> DJ Scrap intro tag? What was that? Thought this was gonna sound pathetic but this iz nice, on a different level; I’m feelin’ this slower side! At least you bringin’ dat Southern vibe wit all your fucked-upness, when it comes to tha drugs, on tha track, lol! Anotha “dick real hard” line? LOL, heard dat only a few songs ago; guess dat’s how you feel… Overall, good job wit this anthem; you havin’ buku fun on tha hook, here! My Rating: 4.0

19. “Just Fine (Remix)” Feat. Jronn, Daem, Quikkdraw & Jimi Jump
Nice lineup!! >>> A lil’ quiet? Gay-soundin’ hook? Thought it was Lil’ One The Champ rappin’ on tha 1st verse but whoeva this iz, they have a great voice fa deliverin’ some serious shit!! Couple errors in tha ID: Deam iz Daem; Quick Draw iz Quikkdraw! I guess dat was Jronn on tha 1st verse ‘cause I know Daem can be gay wit that stupid-ass A-Tune, at times? You’re on tha 2nd verse and it sounds pretty good; you got some anger and attitude on tha track, too! Now dat you and Jronn did tha damn thang, it’s time fa Quikkdraw ta rip it up on tha 3rd verse!! He sounds pretty nice; feelin’ what he bringin’, even though I liked tha previous verses betta! Why iz there some gay vocals in tha mist of his verse? Damn, even Jimi Jump comin’ through wit gayness; whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!?????????? Sorry, but this iz a mixed review for me! My Rating: 2.6

20. “The Chance I Never Had”
>>> More Jeezyness for me; once again, goes good wit tha previous Jeezy-soundin’ songs. My Rating: 3.5

21. “Count My Money Backwards (Remix)” Feat. Lil’ Phat & Webbie
ROFL? >>> Not as bad as tha Ross/Birdman-inserted verses but it’s aight, minus tha “Savage!!” / “Supa Unit!” shit outta nowhere; think you could’ve found somethin’ betta! Anyway, you sound aight; nothin’ really ta say, though, since I can hear this kinda shit from someone else. My Rating: 2.8

Overall: Thought this was gonna be a lil’ betta but it was still good/more on a decent level. I’m glad I got ta review four of your CDs, especially wit them bein’ tight! Keep up tha great work, Mr. March 3rd, lol!

Keepin’ tha D Boy Repasenta reviewz comin’ along, this next one was released back on March 3, 2009 (real date? Why iz it tha same date as tha 2008 one?): D Boy Repasenta The Mission. LOL, no more “tha”, since it’s “the”, now? Start Time: 10:35 AM | End Time: 11:11 AM

If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I already love it. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating! Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

© 2011 CD Review (Review #1,058) reviewed on 8.17.2011 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. Intro
LOL, missin’ tha “r” in “into”? Funny. >>> LOL @ tha 1st second of silence! Sounds good for a lil’ bit of production. My Rating: N/A

02. “Headed Str8 To The Top”
>>> Damn, I thought it was gonna be an original beat, lol. Rhymes sound good, here; you doin’ ya thang on ya own. My Rating: 3.8

03. “So Onn”
LOL @ tha two “N”s! >>> Sounds like Young Greg in tha hook… A lil’ gay wit some of tha lyrics (“ringtone” shit) but it sounds like a catchy hook! Rhymes are only aight but I already know this sounds like a mainstream song… My Rating: 3.6

04. “Chill With Me” Feat. Dre Chatman
Ooh, a Dre Chatman feature! >>> Sounds like a hot song; good beat and nice job from Dre on tha hook!! Now that’s a pure way of deliverin’ an R&B hook! It’s about time there was a good R&B hook; you know how much wack hooks I hear?! Anyway, seems like you’re really focused, D Boy; really likin’ how you settin’ up tha mood fa tha ladies! Even Dre doin’ a rap-sing style on tha 2nd verse, which iz pure kick-ass wit this beat!! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Take It There” Feat. Short Bus Boyz
Wasn’t this a Ville Boyz song? >>> This iz a lil’ different; sounds a lil’ catchy, too. I didn’t know you were connected wit them; thumbs up, Repasenta! Likin’ tha hyperness in tha deliveries, here; you already know this shit’s official! LOL, you sound entertainin’, stomped style, lol; nothin’ but dat crazy shit! Tha 3rd verse sounds a lil’ on tha grimy side; really feelin’ this shit!! You could swear it was some Money Makers Entertainment/Money & Power Records people by tha voice; that’s how great this shit iz right now!! My Rating: 4.4

06. “Get It On” Feat. Fireboy
Wonder who this Fireboy dude iz. >>> Sounds like a hot beat intro wit Fireboy on tha quick intro and D Boy handlin’ tha beat? Tha hook sounds pretty simple and tight. LOL @ Fireboy bein’ “best friends” wit “Benjamin;” I could care less about big figures, ya dig, lol! Good collaboration; I’m likin’ how you’re comin’ through on this betta, though. It seems like you really got your game on lock, here! My Rating: 4.1

07. “Pill Pop” Feat. Tank Jones
Ooh, this looks like it gon be pretty tight! >>> Gay intro? Oh, I see where this iz goin’ wit a Dem Franchize Boyz sample; a lil’ hilarious, but in tha ’08 spirit mood wit tha vibe, though! LOL, startin’ off wit Tank Jones on tha 1st verse, comin’ through like, “fuck ‘tha laws’;” lol, feelin’ tha evasion! Really luvin’ how he on so much shit! I wonder, does he remember date and time he first popped a “pill”? Hope he does; would be great for some rhymes/song title! Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit a Young Greg-type voice, mixed wit Terror a.k.a. Cheez, lol! Catchy-ass flow you’re bringin’ to tha table, here; definitely luvin’ this shit to tha max!! My Rating: 4.7

08. “I’m The Shit” Feat. Lil’ Junior
Time fa some Rich Kidd Entertainment-type shit, here! >>> Dre Chatman mysteriously on tha feature? Wonder if that’s a real person on tha hook or just an added hook? LOL @ my confusion. Junior sounds good/aight on tha 1st verse; not bad, but tha vibe makes it sound good! LOL, here you are, wit your Greg-soundin’ ass, on tha 2nd verse, wit tha tight-soundin’ shit you bringin’ to tha bar table, lol! My Rating: 4.2

09. “Who You Finna Scare” Feat. Lil’ Choppa
Ooh, a “finna” song; let’s see what’s good wit dis, includin’ a new Choppa? >>> I like tha hook; nice screwed-soundin’ shit goin’ on wit tha vocals on tha hook, once again! Sounds like you havin’ fun on tha 1st verse; y-y-y-yup, lol! LOL @ how this Choppa dude sounds on tha 2nd verse; feelin’ what he spittin’, too. LOL, I can picture him havin’ a few golds in his mouth; dumb shit! My Rating: 4.0

½time: This iz a tight CD; definitely some good vibes and moods goin’ on here, ya dig? A 4.1-rated CD, currently!

10. “Handi Cap” Feat. Fireboy
LOL, two words instead of a compound word (“handicap”—that ain’t compound; it’s just two syllables)? >>> This sounds hot; anotha dancin’ song dat I’m likin’ from you! This also iz a pretty nice collaboration; y’all holdin’ it down wit tha catchiness! LOL, this iz a short song but y’all holdin’ it down! Feelin’ your flow, D Boy; you know how ta entertain! My Rating: 4.3

11. “Pain” Feat. Lil’ Sheppard & Dre Chatman
Not sure about tha title but tha collaboration looks like somethin’ good! >>> LOL, sounds like an intense intro fulla “pain;” likin’ it! Tha beat’s pretty nice, too; good shit from Sheppard on tha 1st verse, as he “neva eva [gives] up!” Iz dat you on tha 2nd verse; do I have things confused? Maybe it iz Sheppard wit “Strip Life”? LOL, I’m gettin’ confused! Neva mind, I guess this iz a Lil’ Sheppard song featuring you & Dre; no wonder, I keep gettin’ it confused, knowin’ dat Dre’s only on tha hook! Here you are on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit some street shit; definite plus! My Rating: 4.1

12. “I’m Fresh, I’m Clean” Feat. Lil’ Boxx
Ooh, a Lil’ Boxx feature; I’m glad you got all these features goin’ on! >>> This sounds familiar but tha beat doesn’t? Oh wait, there was anotha version by Lil’ Junior, Max Minelli, Lil’ Boxx & JD. Anyway, this still sounds good; guess it’s a different beat ‘cause it doesn’t sound like EQ doin’ tha beat? LOL, you comin’ through wit catchy shit in tha 1st verse; seems like you can’t be stopped in any situation, lol? Lemme hear tha Lil’ Boxx verse again… Yea, definitely tha shit, here! I remember tha flow and tha shit he brought in tha other version; guess this iz older than tha Junior version ‘cause this was early ’09? My Rating: 4.3

13. “On The Grind” Feat. BeatVillan & E Jizzle
E Jizzle’s tha real name; let’s hear how good this iz, even though BeatVillan’s missin’ an “I” in his name. >>> Oh, he on tha beat (or iz dat just tha intro)? BeatVillian comin’ through wit some catchy shit in tha beginning; feelin’ what he bringin’ to tha table! That hook’s nice and smooth wit how he delivers this shit in a Southern rap way! Tha 2nd verse sounds like a lot of “shit”’s about ta pop off… or should I say, “come out,” lol! E Jizzle’s pretty nice, too; he sounds like he’s unstoppable, too. My Rating: 4.4

14. “Sun Up, Sun Down” Feat. Ms. Lisa
What do we got here? >>> A lil’ soft on tha beginning… Only decent wit tha lady on tha hook, here; rather hear Dre Chatman. I’m feelin’ tha rhymes you bringin’ to tha table; they’re pretty serious fa survivin’, D Boy Repasenta style. Overall, like I said, only aight fa me. My Rating: 3.5

15. “2 Pieces” Feat. Fireboy
Like Jimi Jump? >>> Sounds like a funny song wit how you’re comin’ through wit tha crazy shit on tha hook, lol! Fireboy sounds good, too, when he’s deliverin’ tha 1st verse’s shit. Not much ta say ‘bout tha rhymes; you know what it iz when it’s a jiggin’ song. LOL, here you come through wit some typical shit on tha 2nd verse, Repasenta; we all know what people like you want, lol. My Rating: 4.1

16. “9mm” Feat. Lil’ Trell & E Jizzle
This looks like it gon be good wit a collab like this! >>> Oh no, time ta turn into a fag!! Even tha original hook and intro? :confused Ugh! Lil’ Trell on tha 1st verse? Gonna put him first in tha ID! I’m feelin’ tha energy in his voice but c’mon, where’s tha original beat already?! You’re on tha 2nd verse and lol @ all your “rounds” shit; gotta luv dat ammo, huh? Betta go play Parasite Eve afta I’m done reviewin’ tha next two CDs from you, lol! E Jizzle sounds good on tha 3rd verse, too; I think I’ll end my feedback here, you know? My Rating: 3.4

17. “All Night” Feat. T-Lo & Fireboy
Uh oh, a T-Lo collab; this gon be somethin’ serious!! How will Fireboy handle this collab? >>> Ooh, definitely likin’ tha beginning; you definitely got these collabs on lock!! La’Keith beat? Recognized a “dun-din” sound effect before tha 1st verse started (same sound effect in J.R./Young Ready’s “Spazin’”); definitely somethin’ anticipatin’, here!! T-Lo sounds great on tha hook; just gets you in a perfect mood ta luv Baton Rouge!! Tha 1st verse sounds good; pretty hyped-up, huh? Definitely what’s up, “all night”/day, lol! Funny how this iz “All Night” when T-Lo came wit “All Day”, previously; great sequel! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too, “all black” style, lol! Definitely a gem when it comes ta what you need fa your Baton Rouge collection, ya dig?! T-Lo’s voice makes this perfect fa Halloween, too! My Rating: 4.5

18. “36 Oz (Remix)” Feat. Yung L.A. & Lil’ Boosie
Damn, false features? :( >>> Thanx fa sayin’ this a “remix.” Was ‘bout ta say, “outdated voice”? Then again, I’m like, “Ain’t I”; oh yea… This iz only aight fa me; sounds too mainstream fa me, which I believe that’s where this came from. At least Boosie sounded good but whateva… My Rating: 3.2

Overall: I thought this was real hot for a CD by you!! Even though we could’ve minused a few songs (mainly, tha jacked beat ones), it still turned out excellent; luv tha features!! How will tha next CD go? Stay tuned; keep doin’ tha damn thang, D Boy Repasenta!

Review #1,004: Nasty Nate Da Gynecologist "Da Pre Cum Requisite"

Reviewed on 6.26.2011 (Review #1,004)

My 2nd review for today iz 3rdLife Music’s Nasty Nate Da Gynecologist “Da Pre Cum Requisite. Since tha word “cum” iz in tha title, does this mean it’s gonna be extremely sexual, mixed wit some equation-type shit, lol? Lookin’ forward ta seein’ what dis about! Start Time: 12:33 PM | End Time: 1:09 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. © 2011 CD Review (Review #1,004) reviewed on 6.26.2011 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “3rd Person”
What could this be ‘bout? >>> Tha orgasm in tha beginning sounded catchy, which made me think I was correct about my thinking, lol. I like tha consistent, “3rd person”-type shit, here, lol! Definitely a thumbs up!! Also, tha beat sounds like a science lab, lol! :tu My Rating: 4.4

02. “Maxazria Exclusive” Feat. Lil’ One The Champ
>>> I like tha “T-Motor” beat tag (answerin’ tha phone); lol, couldn’t’ve gotten more simple than that. This sounds good wit tha beat and what you got goin’ on, here… I didn’t know what “NNDG” was in tha ID but that’s you, lol. I like tha female goin’, “BCBG,” too; tight shit, here! My Rating: 4.2

03. “No Socks” (Pac Mane Feat. Jimi Jump & NNDG)
Damn, I didn’t know this was his song; I should’ve known so I knew how to ID it on my radio show when I played it… LOL, originally called “Out My Socks” and now called “No Socks”? :confused ROFL… My Current Rating: 4.5

04. “Galactic Spunk”
I like this title; should be pretty interestin’… >>> Hearin’ tha fast hi-hats in tha beginning; I feel a higher BPM sound comin’… This iz a lil’ boring wit tha flow but tha beat’s pretty nice wit this fastness… This iz also somewhat cheesy, too; I guess not many rappers can handle tha 120+ BPM style? I feel like this could be a mainstream song wit its cheese… My Rating: 3.7

05. “I Ain’t Trippin’”
>>> LOL, sounds like a ‘90s song wit this beginning; what’ll this be like? LOL, a smooth vibe and lol, some dirtiness!! Feelin’ these really descriptive rhymes! From everything from “lick my balls” to this “suck me like a slurpee” shit iz A++ wit handlin’ tha content!! LOL, this song’s progressin’ so fast for a slower-soundin’ song, lol; definitely feelin’ this!! I should play this on my radio show—if tha station can let tha F-word slip so many times in a song/song playin’ so much, then this ain’t comin’ close! It’s tha curse that kills it, not tha content! ;) My Rating: 4.7

06. “Big Deal” (Lil’ One The Champ & A-One (Wissel) Feat. Puppy & NNDG)
I rated it a 4.2, originally, although it sounds like it’s a rip-off of One-i/Jayroc/Lil’ Cali “Big Deal” from 2008. My Current Rating: 4.2

07. “Where She Get That Ass From” (Dre Chatman Feat. Jimi Jump & NNDG)
This looks like somethin’ I could look forward to… Even though he added me a while back, I hope to hear from Dre soon… >>> Sounds good, especially wit tha female! I like tha “my grandma said she like this nigga” part; I feel like dat’s my rappin’ grandma (not “like-like,” but to “like” tha people that fuck wit me)! Tha 1st verse iz consistent as fuck wit tha rhymes! Definitely feelin’ ‘em; lol, they don’t stop!! Here’s Jimi on tha 2nd verse and once again, anotha A-soundin’ verse from him; no matter how many Jimi Jump songs/verses I hear, I’ll always luv how he comes through on ‘em!! “Call me so I can make it juicy fa ya;” I guess ‘08’s always in our mind? My aunt Arline gave my cousin Jackie a Christmas 2008 present last night and I was like, “tha Nu$$ie-Alive times [November 2007 – February 9, 2009] will always be active for some reason,” lol! Tha 3rd verse sounds good, too; definitely tha jam right here and mega-thumbs up ta my boy Dre doin’ tha “damn” thang!! My Rating: 4.7

08. “Hoes Be Callin’”
>>> Thought this would be a typical, bullshitty-soundin’ song but it’s somethin’ catchy wit tha hook; nice phone call in tha beginning… Ooh, nice 1st verse wit tha “marijuana” shit, lol! Even though some of tha flow iz repetitive, I don’t think I’ll get sick of this catchy tune, lol! Tha production has some interestin’ flava, too! My Rating: 4.4

09. “Showin’ Up” (Max Minelli Feat. Lil’ One The Champ, Reno & NNDG)
How come people think Max Minelli iz a compound word? :confused I think you should be in tha feature, regardless; shouldn’t be an “& Reno & Hoo by NNDG” ID… But, seems like I really felt this when I first heard it; G-Motivation iz that big dawg on tha beat (*phone rings* “T-Motor”)! My Current Rating: 4.6

½time: Pretty hot CD; surprised dat tha high BPM song was tha only under-4.0-rated song, hence my luv for Dance music! But yea, thumbs up on your production and tha great, 3rdLife Music-affiliated, 9/5 Music Group-affiliated-type people!! A 4.4 iz tha CD rating you got, currently!!!!

10. “XXXtra Mayo”
What do we got here? >>> Sounds like it could’ve been a good skit in tha beginning. Ooh, tha beat sounds pretty gutta wit this style… Yes, anotha orgasm! Seems like you have some hidden, tight-type shit goin’ on, here!! Yes, a catchy-soundin’ flow, too! Sounds like you’re one of tha next people ta get a mainstream hit? I can sense it! My Rating: 4.3

11. “Boomerang” (Lil’ One The Champ Feat. Jimi Jump & NNDG)
Finally, a correct spelling and also, you’re listed! Tha 1st time I saw this song, tha title was spelled wrong and you weren’t even on tha feature! My Current Rating: 3.9

12. “Do Dem Both” Feat. Jay The Talent & Jimi Jump
Should be anticipatin’!! >>> Yes, this sounds like a Late ‘90s/Early ‘00s sound!!! Feelin’ tha hook wit this “bounce yo lil’ booty!!” Glad Jay has quality on this track, too; seems like you have no way of disappointin’ anyone!! Tha 3rd verse iz Jimi, doin’ his thang, once again!! My Rating: 4.3

13. “Grind Hard” (Lil’ One The Champ Feat. Max Minelli & NNDG)
Startin’ ta feel like, “what’s up wit tha same features/artists?” Then again, at least it’s only, like, one song from different albums! G-Motivation!!! My Current Rating: 4.5

14. “I’ma Robot” (Dre Chatman Feat. Jay The Talent & NNDG)
Ooh, anotha Dre song? Gotta hear it!! >>> Tha beat intro’s good but almost scary; there’s, like, a gamble, here, wit if it’ll be all-tha-way good or all-tha-way wack… Hearin’ tha hook and this shit sounds good; catchy content for tha clubs and this “robot” shit! Tha 1st verse sounds good; “tha BR troopers from BR!” :tu Yes, this my big dawg Dre on tha 1st verse; glad he doin’ his thang, ya dig? Gotta give him exposure!! Tha 2nd verse iz keepin’ this shit goin’…; same thing wit tha 3rd verse, too. My Rating: 4.4

15. “Play No Games” Feat. Jimi Jump & Dre Chatman
>>> This iz tha 1st style I heard Dre on (singin’) and he seems ta neva fail wit me! Yes, some Jimi Jump on tha 1st verse, settin’ this good, smooth mood, 9/5 Music Group style! “Otha niggaz bullshittin’, but me, I keep it 100;” that’s right, Jimi! :tu You’re on tha 2nd verse and you’re gettin’ tha gurls involved, which sounds good how you deliver shit! Some of this sounds like Pitbull, now, so I might get a lil’ grossed out but whateva, this passes tha test… My Rating: 3.8

16. “Open Charges” Feat. Trickmane
Looks tight… >>> LOL, startin’ wit an orgasm? A song about “open charges” and street shit? What made tha orgasm come outta nowhere? Was that someone’s beat tag, lol? :rofl Must be Trickmane on tha 1st verse; this shit sounds pretty good on this okay-soundin’ beat… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, either; lol, “nerdy?” More like scientist, lol. My Rating: 3.8

17. “Get U Busted At” (Teflon Pit)
LOL, random bonus? This should be real nice, especially since I think this iz tha 1st time I’m hearin’ a song from Teflon Pit as tha main artist!! >>> This shit’s definitely gutta; gotta feel dis!! LOL, tha orgasm came outta nowhere; must be a beat tag ‘cause this iz too gangsta fa orgasms, lol! Really feelin’ tha rhymes and hopefully—prayin’—one day I can communicate/do business wit Teflon Pit ‘cause he one of those valuable rappers in tha 225!!! This sounds like tha good, ’06 – ’08 Louisiana-soundin’ shit dat I really like; thumbs up fa this bein’ a bonus!! How old really iz this? My Rating: 4.8

18. “I Like Dat” (Jay The Talent)
Anotha bonus; hope it ain’t a fucked-up ending like tha Jimi Jump bonus song from him! >>> LOL, tha orgasm beat tag again… Good, it sounds normal from him; kinda decent but it’s betta than bullshit! This should’ve had a feature ‘cause it’s kinda long for just him and not much things changin’… My Rating: 3.7

Overall: What a hot CD you got here, Nate! Really feelin’ tha fam you got on here as well as that lil’ bonus from Teflon Pit, which blew every other song out tha water, lol!
