Review #1,734: King Presents "Dat Swampland"

Reviewed on 7.01.2017 (Review #1,734)

Here comes anotha CD review, from 2013: King Presents Dat Swampland, released on 729 Music Group! Start Time: 1:44 AM | End Time: 2:59 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. King, Trill Will & Lil’ Witness “Dat Swampland”
>>> I’m diggin’ this upbeat beat fa a track like this… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty dope; good shit! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and we keepin’ it movin’, here! Still, in 2013, why would we only hear “jiggin’” fa tha Rouge? I think that’s a wrong stereotype… We were just nearly beginnin’ tha stupid-ass “money” bullshit rhymes at that time… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse from Lil’ Witness and it’s pretty dope, too; consistency at its finest! My Rating: 4.3

02. T-Bo, King, Lil’ Witness & B-Rock “Want Some, Get Some”
>>> Sounds like a good vibe like tha previous track, here… T-Bo only “28,” here; I just left “28,” a lil’ over a week ago… King sounds nice on tha track, as well as Witness’ consistent shit he always brings… B-Rock sounds nice to keep this shit goin’, too, you know? My Rating: 4.2

03. Lil’ Witness, King & T-Bo “That Murder Rate Is Sky High”
>>> Definitely feelin’ tha organ in tha beat, here; good shit! Good hook, too, with describin’ how “that murder rate [be] sky high!” Hearin’ Witness on tha 1st verse and he doin’ his thang, here; good shit… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it sounds nice, of course… And, tha rest keepin’ it movin’, here… My Rating: 4.2

04. King & T-Bo “I’m Shining”
>>> King sounds good wit this hook, tha 1st verse & this decent beat… Not really feelin’ T-Bo’s verse on tha 2nd verse, tho; sounds like mainstream bullshit to me… And, y’all both on tha 3rd verse, enjoyin’ y’allselves, here… My Rating: 3.7

05. T-Bo, Gooman Dat Gangsta & Big Blaze “Chopper In The Trunk”
>>> Decent 1st verse, here, from T-Bo, includin’ this good beat, too… Hearin’ tha hook and tha “chopper” shit’s soundin’ good fa this one, here… Hearin’ Gooman on tha 2nd verse and he soundin’ pretty nice, here… Tha same Gangsta as tha past? New name or new dude? To me, it just sounds like a new name ‘cause I kinda recognize tha voice… And, a nice appearance from Big Blaze on tha 3rd verse, here, spittin’ some nice, consistent shit, here… Lol, “heads like a barbershop;” ear-catchy! Definitely feelin’ all these rhymes to tha fullest! My Rating: 4.3

06. King & Big Ram “Southside”
>>> King on tha 1st verse and it’s nice… Hearin’ tha hook ova this nice lil’ beat and it sounds like an anthem fa tha “Southside;” good shit… And, Big Ram on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some southern shit; props on this one… My Rating: 4.0

07. Big Blaze & Kontroversy “Gas Done Went Up”
>>> Sounds like a dope lil’ beat and sample-soundin’ hook fa this track, right chea… Hearin’ Blaze on tha 1st verse and it sounds good; I’m diggin’ tha classic, street, Rouge sound from him, here… I see we got Kontreversy on tha 2nd verse, here (not Kontroversy); haven’t heard from him in a long while… Real Profit Ent. dayz! Sounds like a good lil’ verse, as if he’s levelin’ up like Max Minelli, here… And, we got tha 3rd verse from Blaze, here, soundin’ pretty nice, too, holdin’ it down… My Rating: 4.3

08. Lil’ Witness, T-Bo & Big Blaze “Cuttin’ Up”
>>> Sounds like more of those white-boy anthems from tha Rouge, once again… As always, Witness sounds good wit his rhymes on tha 1st verse, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s a lil’ catchy… I swear, it sounds like C-Loc when they say, “Cut up,” right? Hearin’ T-Bo on tha 2nd verse and he got it goin’ on, here, strictly holdin’ it down, of course… Big Blaze makin’ a random appearance on tha 2nd verse? Pretty dope! Rhymes easy like walkin’, lol! And, Witness on tha 3rd verse, here, keepin’ it movin’ to tha max! My Rating: 4.2

09. Lil’ Witness, King, Chuck-T & Big Blaze “What You ‘Bout”
>>> Witness on tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ pretty consistent, of course… And, hearin’ tha hook…; sounds good fa this No Limit-soundin’ anthem, ta me… Hearin’ King on tha 2nd verse and he always keepin’ this shit goin’… “Sherwood made me;” gotta luv that hood! Sounds like Big Blaze on tha 3rd verse? Why no credit? I’ont get it…? My Rating: 4.1

½time: Consistent, dope lil’ compilation, here; a 4.1-rated CD! Let’s keep it movin’!

10. Big Blaze, R&B & Gooman Dat Gangsta “Spark It Off”
>>> Sounds like an anthem; luvin’ tha hook wit tha beat! “Spark it off” iz right, Blaze! Good 1st verse comin’ from tha blazer, here… R&B on tha 2nd verse… He ain’t too bad, surprisingly; this a decent track fa him… And, tha Gangsta on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ good wit what he bringin’ to tha table, here… My Rating: 4.1

11. Lil’ Witness & King “I See Death Around The Corner”
>>> Diggin’ this organ in tha beginning, here… After a long beat intro, we got Witness on tha 1st verse, holdin’ shit down, here… Tha hook’s pretty nice, here; tha title’s true, in some wayz, but you gotta always stay positive! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from Witness and these rhymes are consistent and unstoppable! And, I guess King’s in here somewhere… If I’m a lil’ distracted, I have thoughts of my ex-friend just walkin’ outta my life happenin’, right now… My Rating: 4.0

12. Bengie B, King & Big Blaze “Money & The Power”
>>> Not my kinda shit but an okay hook—well, in one ear and out tha otha, fa me… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s ehh; can’t say too much negative shit… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from Bengie B and it’s okay; nothin’ special, overall… Big Blaze sneakin’ in on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse and even tho he sound tha best outta ‘em all, this “money” content and shit ain’t fa me… It’s like, err-body gotta rap about other shit! My Rating: 3.1

13. Lil’ Witness, King, T-Bo & Mike Da Hustla “Whiteboys”
>>> Tha 1st verse’s Lil’ Witness and he soundin’ consistent, of course; good shit… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice, here… Even tho I’m “white,” this shit ain’t really fa me… Just sounds too cheesy to pick out races and shit… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s nice ta hear, too… T-Bo comin’ through on tha 2nd verse wit his “duffy” shit; not bad… And, we got tha 3rd verse from Mr. Mike, here, makin’ a lil’ comeback fa tha ’13… He sound good, here, keepin’ it movin’… My Rating: 3.6

14. Wicked, Gooman Dat Gangsta, Big Ram & Big Blaze “Why You Mad At Me?”
>>> This sounds decent wit this beat and tha 1st verse, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds good for what I’m dealin’ with, right nah… Tha 2nd verse kinda quick, here; decent shit, I guess…? Tha 3rd verse a lil’ catchy wit tha flow, here… Big Ram nice and even tho Big Blaze sound good on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse, I’m not big about tha “money stackin’ up” shit; can pass… Overall, not too bad, here… My Rating: 3.8

15. Big Blaze “Go 2 War With A Soulja”
>>> I thought this sounded familiar… So long ago, here… My Current Rating: 4.7

16. Chuck-T, Gooman Dat Gangsta & King “Put That Glock On Ya”
>>> Sounds good with tha beat, here, and how y’all doin’ it up on tha 1st verse, here… Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice ta hear, too; y’all got tha shit on lock, here… And, tha 3rd verse’s pretty nice, too, keepin’ it movin’… My Rating: 4.0

17. Lil’ Witness, Gooman Dat Gangsta, Big Blaze & T-Bo “When The Sun Goes Down”
>>> Witness comin’ through on tha 1st verse, here, doin’ his thang… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice from Dat Gangsta, here… T-Bo on tha 3rd verse, here, in an anti-sober state of mind… Forgot to mention, tha hook’s pretty dope wit how shit can go “down” wit “when the sun goes down,” ya dig? Hearin’ Witness on tha 4th verse and he keepin’ tha consistency comin’ along, as always! My Rating: 4.3

18. King & T-Bo “‘Bout That Drama”
>>> Sounds like a good track wit tha 1st verse from King, here, strictly holdin’ shit down… And, tha hook’s pretty nice and upbeat, here; good shit… T-Bo on tha 2nd verse, here, holdin’ it down, too… And, tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ nice, too; y’all holdin’ shit down… My Rating: 4.1

19. Big Blaze & T-Bo “Cut It Off”
>>> Sounds like a good start, here; I’m likin’ Big Blaze’s laughin’ and perspective of “whip game,” here, lol… Tha hook’s pretty catchy wit this beat, too; good shit… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit Big Blaze doin’ his thang, here… And, hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty dope, too; nice lil’ collab wit y’all, here… And, a long beat outro… My Rating: 4.3

Overall: Consistent lil’ CD, here; most of this shit was nice… Glad y’all know how ta represent and continue ta hold it down!

Review #1,468: Baton Rouge Music Company Presents "Jigg City Radio Vol. 5: Best Of"

Reviewed on 6.27.2015 (Review #1,468)

Doin’ a review, here, tha 1st one of me bein’ 27: Baton Rouge Music Company Presents Jigg City Radio Vol. 5: Best Of, courtesy of tha Baton Rouge Music Company & DeTrane himself! And, since Young Ready died a few dayz ago, I’ve been really, really busy, and I’m back to six dayz a week at my job. So, I’m not gonna sit here for tha full time to listen to this, as I know, like, every song on here. I gotta hurry, so I gon just say what I currently feel about each one… Start Time: 6:34 PM | End Time: 7:31 PM

© 2015 CD Review (Review #1,468) reviewed on 6.27.2015 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. Da G.A.N.G. “All They Do Is Jigg”
More like a Best Of with tha Baton Rouge scene of tha 2000s, here, since this was never on tha Jigg City Radio editions… But, gotta luv tha energy, as always! We need to bring this music back! I mean, there’s still some of it, from whoever still records, but let’s get rid of all that “gettin’ money” music, already!! My Current Rating: 4.7

02. Down Bad “Keep Rollin’”
OMG, I feel like I’m that 19, 20, 21-year-old that was obsessed—OBSESSED TO THA MAX—with Louisiana music with Down Bad & this, ROFL!!! And now, I’m a lil’ past their ages! And, lol @ tha filename, still goin’ by “Down Bad Ent.” for some. Only difference now with this music iz that when I hear, “Pop these pillz,” I gotta realize that I no longer have a brother… :( May 10, 2015: My 25-year-old brother was found dead in my studio room in Northeast PA, from an overdose! Currently, morphine & Xanex was all we know what was in his body. But, as bad as that was, don’t worry, this music still makes me happy and so do these times! Always luv tha energy! That’s why my job luvs me!! And, when I hang with people from my job, I feel like a celebrity, like an Infa Red, Level, DJ B-Real, etc. walkin’ around! My Current Rating: 4.6

03. A-Mar & Dyl “Rollin’”
Likin’ how “A-Mar” looks on tha back cover with tha font… But yeah, I remember these dayz; feels like late ’07 / ’08 again, still one of my best times with 2014 right behind it!! Always gotta luv tha pill music! Always!! My Current Rating: 4.4

04. Beelow “Jigga City Step”
LOL… Some of this iz remindin’ me of when I reviewed fellow DJ, Way 3000 & his Jigg City Allstars / Jigg City Rockstars / Got Pills? mixtape compilations! But yeah, might’ve heard this one once before, but it’s definitely nice and energetic! Gotta luv when tha pillz hit you! Still haven’t attempted ‘em, yet, or eva, but I have to say, weed cookies’ll really put you in tha zone! And, geebs/gravity bongs!! But yeah, great, consistent party vibes, here! My Current Rating: 4.6

05. T-Lo “All Day”
On our favorite break girl (this girl Ang from my job)’s birthday, March 11, 2015, I actually talked to T-Lo for tha first time, finally! However, nothing really since… But yeah, definitely a classic from my up-and-coming times! I was 19 and now, who would’ve thought I’d be 27! Hittin’ my peak, especially with a NYC magazine doin’ an article on me about my Louisiana life: http://massappeal.com/doggystyle-frankie-tha-lucky-dog/
Luv it and even though T-Lo got burned with this one from Derty & Boosie with “Uh Oh” tha following year, this one still remains tha better one! My Current Rating: 4.8

06. Sam I Am feat. D-So “Sweatin’”
Almost didn’t remember this one, but this tha 1st new song on here, as it was just released on Sam’s The Shake Back CD, two years ago… Here’s what I had to say: Ooh, EQ doin’ a nice job on this beat! Crazy “popped a molly, I’m sweatin’” shit in tha hook; crazy shit! Sam got tha shit goin’ on nicely in tha 1st verse, comin’ through like a wild man!! Tha 2nd verse’s startin’ wit a Tupac-like flow, revising his shit. Usually, I’m not big about revising dead rappers, but you did it nicely wit tha pillz, Sam! Ooh, D-So on tha 3rd verse; good shit, includin’ bein’ anotha pill-poppin’ animal; gotta luv it!! If you don’t luv a pill-poppin’ dude, you fucked up!! I’m talkin’ ‘bout tha ones born before me!! Great shit; luv when you team up wit peeps, Sam! My Current Rating: 4.7

07. Jimi Jump “To Pieces”
R…O…F…L…!! Neva thought I’d talk to, like, every Louisiana artist back when I first heard this! I was just reviewin’ and was like, “Here, check me out,” lol. Now, it’s your responsibility to keep up wit me and my long, busy, consistent life!! But yeah, definitely still sounds real nice; can’t believe it’s seven years old!! My Current Rating: 4.4

08. Supa feat. Big Poppa, Level & King Arthur “Jiggin’ Out My Body (Remix)”
Remix, King Arthur on it & a “P” missin’ in Big Poppa’s name… But, since Supa blocked me three years ago and never restored blocking me, I’m just gonna skip this and give it tha same rating I gave it when I gave it, back when I first heard it… “She know, I’m high;” Supa dealt with me back when I didn’t even get high!! ROFL, there was a 363-day difference of me blowin’ on dat kush!! March 5, 2009 & March 3, 2010; 363-day difference?!? What a fag I was back then, right?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!? My Current Rating: 4.6

09. Big Scoob feat. T-Lo “Jigga City”
Neva heard this before? Ooh, I’m excited, lol! >>> Sounds like back in tha day. You can tell this a decade old when they goin’ at “Dem Franchize Boyz” for jackin’ their style. But yeah, nice hook ta flow with this and, of course, tha beat’s consistently hot fa tha 225! Got T-Lo on tha 1st verse, comin’ through nicely… Here’s Scoob on tha 2nd verse, soundin’ like a boss! Can get through tha “got a pocket fulla money” shit easily ‘cause this shit’s old. But, definitely not during tha current times, especially since I’ve been robbed multiple times from Louisiana artists! Got T-Lo on tha 3rd verse; he sounds catchy, but prolly would’ve been betta if there was anotha Scoob verse. But, I’m diggin’ how he stays on topic with this “Jigga City” content and party, ya dig? My Rating: 4.4

½time: Definitely somethin’ great, here, no matter who’s on it! Great for my generation and what I enjoyed, back in tha day! Can’t believe I call it “back in tha day,” now; seems like it was just yesterday! We’re talkin’ years of me sittin’ in a room, neva goin’ out anywhere!! But, luckily, I’ve reached tha point where I can do whateva I want! And, with that bein’ said, this CD’s at a 4.6 for tha CD rating, now!

10. NIP feat. Co G & Tank Jones “Out My Sox”
LOL @ “Sox;” I would do that with “sucks” and say, “Sux,” lol. But yeah, definitely a classic, here! Goes great wit my classic times of when Nu$$ie was alive! Now, it’s like, are there Young Ready-alive times? Prolly not, since I’m in a different perspective? It’s more like before-I-turned-27 times? But yeah, definitely a hot pill-poppin’ song to tha max, here, especially wit that beat!! My Current Rating: 4.8

11. T-Bo “Gott’em Jigg’n”
Goin’ back to tha blockerz (Twitter & Facebook), all ‘cause they couldn’t take my criticism, smh… I ain’t even hate on “money” rhymes, back then, too, in 2012! Can you imagine now? But yeah, don’t think I know this one; let’s make it quick, then!! >>> Beat sounds familiar, like it was jacked; can’t remember what it was, but it’s mid 2000s? Eightball & MJG? Ahh, whateva! Oh wait, yes, yes, yes, lol!! David Banner feat. Static “Crank It Up”, ’03! On March 10, 2004, I stopped bitin’ my nails for a few years ‘cause I guessed that it was gonna come on MTV2! Great moments and this actually sounded good; can’t complain… I’m sure I’ll get to reviewin’ it again on one of T-Bo’s many CDs, in tha future, wheneva that may finally be… My Rating: 4.3

12. Delwin The Krazyman “Yahhh (Part 2)”
Anotha…dude…who…annoyed…—oh wait, I got work tomorrow, so at least I’m—quotin’ y’all—“gettin’ money!” But “yahhh,” had liked it, at tha time; always go for tha “take me a shit in this bitch,” shit! Right around this time, on March 30, 2010, that’s where Q-Red started tha shittin’ pics, which unexpectedly started a movement! Luv shittin’ pics to tha max, lol! My Current Rating: 4.3

13. Down Bad feat. Savage “Mind Gone”
LOL, and this still on CDs…! Was 19, 20, 21 back then; I’m now 27 and it still sounds nice! But, since Savage doesn’t like to answer me, anymore, I’ll just stop here! My Current Rating: 4.8

14. Sam I Am “Jawz Locked”
Much betta, as far as bein’ comfortable hearin’ and laughin’, lol! Even tha filename’s still tha same from Jigg City Radio Vol. 4: “Sam I Am – Jawz Locked !;” I remembered that? I was 21 back then; I got a great memory!! But yeah, you already know what I think about this Young Hits-produced, pill-poppin’ joint!! My Current Rating: 4.8

15. Young Scott feat. Doonie & 9V “Baton Rouge, Jigga City”
Don’t think I heard this one? Only heard two Doonie songs from tha 1st Jigg City Radio edition—oh wait, no “Lil’,” here, so this more recent? >>> Producer’s tha same producer as when Southpaw & Rackley made “Gets No Better”, back in ’08, so this might be old? Either way, nice lil’ vibe, here, and it sounds nice with this “power-up” hook! Tha 1st verse from Scott sounds pretty nice; gotta feel it! Here comes Doonie on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through nicely on this shit! This was me from his birthday, last year, while I wound up goin’ to NY, gettin’ nice and fulla dat shit!! Great job wit tha verse, Doonie! Tha 3rd verse (9V?) sounds like a young dude that would fit in tha ’08 dayz? Prolly iz these dayz and it sounds good; can’t complain… My Rating: 4.3

16. Nuttiochie Boyz “Like We Jigg”
Lemme see if I remember, here, who’s in Nuttiochie Boyz…? Oh, D-So, Lil’ Yella & Lil’ Boonie; nice guess for this bein’ eight years-old! But yeah, still a nice joint, here, with that hard-hittin’ beat! Great job doin’ tha damn thang, err-body! “Y’all niggaz can’t jigg like we jigg, hoe;” classic times!! My Current Rating: 4.5

17. Sam I Am feat. T-Lo “Jiggalate (Remix)”
I remember from somewhere; nice throwback… Always luv those Shonta, energy-up beats!! My Current Rating: 4.5

18. Beelow feat. Sam I Am, Lil’ Josh & Lil’ Ernest “Nowlaters”
LOL! Such classicness, though I ain’t remember if I eva got ta hear this? Either way, definitely a classic! Gotta luv all tha colors!! Features not listed? Just luv tha pill shit, as always! Luv tha obsession!! My Current Rating: 4.7

19. Bengie & Gangsta feat. Sam I Am “Jigg For Me”
Have I heard? Prolly… >>> Luv tha “Clap Your Hands” remake sound, here, on tha hook!! Sounds nice and energetic; feelin’ it! An uncredited Sam I Am on tha 1st verse, here; keep “sweatin’!” Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty energetic, too; great vibe from them! It’s great ta have this kinda music at all times!! And, tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ nice ta hear, too; good shit! And, 1:20 of nothing at tha end? And, outta nowhere, at 6:44, there’s a hidden lil’ skit; nice… My Rating: 4.4

Overall: Wow, this still almost took an hour to do… Anyway, I thought this was an excellent compilation, ya dig? Prolly could’ve subtracted a few duplicate artists on here and put, like, Young Ready or Nu$$ie (wow, with all tha dickriding over tha past six years, no Nu$$ie, lol?). But for tha most part, definitely a great journey to back in tha day! As far as you, DeTrane, keep grindin’! Not sure where you stand with this music shit, but it ain’t ova, yet! Even with myself, I question my status at times… We may’ve passed our primetimes of ’07 & ’08, but there’s plenty more in stock! Look at me; who would’ve thought I’d have a record label behind me? Gotta keep grindin’, somehow! They’ll respect you in tha way they know how to connect witchu!

Review #1,345: Lil' Rocket "The Launch Mixtape Vol. 1"

Reviewed on 12.06.2013 (Review #1,345)

Keepin’ tha reviewz goin’, here’s Slauter House Entertainment’s Lil’ Rocket The Launch Mixtape Vol. 1. Just wondering, why a ‘mixtape,’ all tha time? Start Time: 10:38 AM | End Time: 10:59 AM

Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

© 2013 CD Review (Review #1,345) reviewed on 12.06.2013 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Intro”
>>> SMH @ “Teach Me How To Dougie” beat? You know I gon skim through this, then! Random rhymes; not for me… My Rating: 1.3

02. “Gettin’ Money” Feat. Kendall
Horrible title!! >>> Fuck this a-tune shit!! It’s 2x worse when it’s a-tune and “money,” together!! My Rating: 1.0

03. “Don’t Give A Fuck” Feat. Slauter
>>> Good beat, good vibe. Feelin’ your rhymes on tha 1st verse; you’re really inta tha vibe, here! I always think it’s so gay how people kill people “over lil’ thangz.” It’s like, why do err-body like fightin’? Tha Slauter feature sounds nice, too… My Rating: 4.2

04. “Play No Games” Feat. Q-Black, HoodBoyz & Ernest
From this song on, tha track #’s are different. Looks like it says there’s 15 songs, but I only got 14? Since I only have 14, I’ll consider this Track 4, not Track 5. >>> ROFL, didn’t even recognize this title, at first… Once again, Young Hustla track. My Current Rating: 4.7

05. “Hollywood” Feat. Gangsta
>>> Some production from Heisman, here. Likin’ tha beginning wit how you comin’ through, here, on tha hook! See, this iz more like it! I dunno what was goin’ through your mind wit tha first two jointz!! Nice job wit this shit, although a lil’ long? Good appearance from Gangsta, too! My Rating: 4.4

06. “Who Can I Run To”
>>> Gay start; I don’t fuck wit stupid pitched-up samples like this! Not really for me, overall, wit tha havin’-a-hard-time-in-a-relationship content. My Rating: 1.6

07. “Top Rope” Feat. Q-Black & Slauter
>>> Good start wit Deezy On Da Beat doin’ tha track, here. Nice hook! Feelin’ tha energy y’all bringin’ to tha table! I dunno why you keep throwin’ me off wit tha wack tracks on here! It’s like, you go from wack, all tha way ta somethin’ nice! Feelin’ that dude on tha 2nd verse a lot, despite them soundin’ like Level’s disappeared-ass. Tha 3rd verse iz nice, too; gotta luv tha 225 feel wit bein’ on all dem drugz! My Rating: 4.8

½time: Wow, half tha jointz suck bad on here, while tha other jointz go hard as fuck! Weird mix, leadin’ to only a 3.1 for tha CD rating, currently.

08. “Party Pack”
>>> Anotha crazy vibe, here! Could only imagine what a “40 pack of pillz” looks like! I wonder when I’ll eva see that? Luv how this iz so short; good thinkin’! My Rating: 4.4

09. “Reason” Feat. Bengie Bee & Q-Black
>>> Couldn’t catch tha tag in tha beginning, but this sounds good, so far… Tha hook sounds nice, and you comin’ through nicely on tha 1st verse! Good shit on tha 2nd verse, too, as y’all keepin’ it gangsta. This kinda long, compared to tha previous joint, but whateva… “Still a jiggalater”? Don’t give up, Bengie! I dunno how many more years it gon take fa me ta hit Baton Rouge up! Here’s that hyped-up Q-Black on tha 3rd verse! He must be tha best on this CD! I’m always inta his energy!! My Rating: 4.5

10. “Stripper” Feat. TreeHead
Yuck @ tha feature… >>> *Skips* My Rating: 1.0

11. “Bolt Loose” Feat. B-Raw & Ville Boyz
Why tha B-Raw feature? I’m sick of doin’ these reviewz, and there’s at least one insecurity on each CD I review! >>> Got some Haney on tha beat! Hook caught me off-guard. Surprisingly, I’ll have ta admit that it’s not bad! Tha 1st verse even caught me off-guard, too… All I have ta say iz that tha ID should be flipped, and Ville Boyz should be toward tha end. Tha 2nd verse sounds good, until all tha “B-Raw” references come outta nowhere… It’s like, how obsessed can y’all be?! Scary…; I bet this obsession just slides like it’s nothin’, smh! I’m sure he’d get a boner knowin’ that I’m quittin’ tha music-promoting soon! Wishes do come true, it seems like? Just waitin’ for that door to open! Too many broke dudes who don’t acknowledge me! That’s what’s ‘cool’ in this business, sadly! My Rating: 3.5 (would’ve been as high as a 4.4, but that 2nd verse really threw me off!)

12. “Flick” Feat. Q-Black
>>> Wow, this sounds like pure garbage, though tha beat ain’t bad! How iz this ‘mixtape’ music? Next! My Rating: 1.2

13. “Take A Leave”
>>> Gay!!! My Rating: 1.0

14. “S.H. Shout Out (R.I.P. Lil’ Phat)” Feat. Q-Black
Not really feelin’ tha second part of tha title; I just don’t anticipate celebrating deaths, anymore. I can see if it was a family member or somethin’… >>> A new tag fa Deezy On Da Beat… Wow, as much as I didn’t anticipate this, this, at least, iz hyped-up! I don’t really feel when today’s rappers are sampled on hooks. I can see where you’re comin’ from, since this iz a “Shout Out.” I guess I’ll let it slide… Tha 1st verse sounds like you know what’s goin’ on. Almost a lil’ obsessed wit Phat, here, but of course, you’re ‘typical’ amongst peers, so everything slides with you… Commentin’ you wit his shout out: It’s not like I made a song wit Nu$$ie shoutin’ me out. Sounds like Q-Black on tha 2nd verse; not listed? At least he comin’ through wit crazy shit! I thought this was a bangin’ joint; nice job! My Rating: 4.6

Overall: Very mixed… Either tha jointz were real, real good, or real, real horrible! It’s like, you wanted tha best of tha best and tha worst of tha worst, together! Weird mix…

Rankings:

Review #1,342: Big Blaze "2nd Shot Promo"

Reviewed on 12.05.2013 (Review #1,342)

A Bloc Munstarz (I think I got tha right label) release, here… Big Blaze 2nd Shot Promo iz what I finna review, right now! I’m sure this’ll be great, in its own lane!! It came out last year; I’m not sure why I missed it? Start Time: 8:59 PM | End Time: 9:52 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. Intro (DJ Rob Xclusive)
>>> I feel real anticipated wit this Blaze beat in tha background! Blaze, you’re real talented!! Always stay in tha undaground!! My Rating: N/A

02. “Call Tha Ambulance” Feat. Cash Flow & Trilla Trill
!-to-tha-!-to-tha-!! >>> I thought this would be more hyper, but it’s you in your lane, all tha way!! Just luv how you come through wit your voice and tha undaground-soundin’ beat!!! Nice job wit you on tha 1st verse, Blaze, strictly havin’ fun wit a title like this!! Here comes tha 2nd verse (Cash Flow), comin’ through wit a lil’ more hyperness in tha voice! Tryna re-inact “September 11” wit how he comin’ through; gotta feel how he anticipates a fight! Got Trilla Trill on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit nice shit. Of course, I’m crazy about Gunplay right now, so I can appreciate tha gunplay-like lyrics he spittin’! Consistency wit tha delivered rhymes, all tha way to tha cold ending!! My Rating: 4.7

03. “Say That Then”
Ooh…? >>> Wow, gritty voice from you, here!! Reminds me of tha early 2000s southern music I grew up on, wit how this sounds, overall!! Hook sounds nice, too! Keepin’ this shit goin’ wit tha 2nd verse; luv tha “need ta see ID” part and its consistent flow!! Yea, keep saggin’ ya “pants so low;” neva abide to stereotypes, feelin’ aged & laws! I’m only a ½ decade younger than you, and I grow at a slow pace! Wow, 3rd verse comin’ through wit dat hoarse voice!!! Ribbit, ribbit, rofl? Keep it goin’!!! My Rating: 4.6

04. “Now That I’m On” Feat. Trilla Trill & Cash Flow
>>> Really feelin’ tha beat start!! Catchy song; feelin’ tha hook! A “helicopter” start wit tha 1st verse, wit Trill comin’ through wit dat coptin’ sound! He on tha “interstate” and err-thang! Cash Flow countin’ “paypa” on tha 2nd verse, here; nice flow on tha beat! Let’s see what you got goin’ on wit tha 3rd verse, Blaze… Okay, in tha fuckin’ mode, here; that’s big for a big dude like you, right? #bigmoments My Rating: 4.0

05. “We ‘Bout 2 Ack” Feat. Trayne & Teflon Da Terrabull
Wow @ tha name changes? No more “Young” for Trayne & Teflon, who was a Pit, turns into a Terrabull!! >>> Feelin’ tha dark, undaground feelin’ of tha streetz, here! “Raggedy ratchet!” Feelin’ how you anticipatin’ how you wanna do someone in throughout tha 1st verse, Blaze! Yea, time ta “ack a ass” on tha hook; feelin’ it! Trayne on tha 2nd verse? Sounds nice; consistent shit! Sounds like he makes tha 225 enlight, like it neva gets old!! I hope that’s tha case ‘cause I’m six years into my Louisiana connection, still havin’ trouble findin’ tha person to go with me to visit Louisiana, for tha 1st time! Yea, Teflon on tha 3rd verse (wow, Trayne’s voice iz less-deep); great shit, here! My Rating: 4.4

06. “Really Ill”
>>> Sounds nice, so far; nothin’ much to say, but good 1st verse, so far! Ooh @ 1:03, where you start rappin’ fast! I like how that came outta nowhere! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too! And, tha 3rd verse, too! I think with tha hook, it comes outta nowhere, so everything blends in together! Feelin’ that “I’m stoppin’ flow like traffic lights” shit near tha end, too! You even said it twice! My Rating: 4.1

07. “TKO” Feat. Yella & Lil’ Buddy
Yella = Lil’ Yella? Did we lose a “Lil’”, this time? >>> Hearin’ tha old beat tag from Big Wayne, this must be an old beat (of course, tha pattern—normal times (before tha threatening)! I gotta get tha years from you so I can log everything, since I’m backin’ up my files that I got from this year! And, that Yella = Yella Yella (tha one wit JokaBoi), I assume. Anyway, nice job wit tha hook and 1st verse; it’s all about tha crazy vibe!! Tha 2nd verse nice, too! A Lil’ Buddy verse on tha 3rd verse… Of course, tha old dayz wit those great voices, deep within tha 225! Tha crazy shit continues wit tha 4th verse, too, combining both Yella & Lil’ Buddy on tha verse! Whoo!! Got you also, Big Blaze!! My Rating: 4.6

08. “Money Talks” Feat. Jay Da Talent
>>> Sounds like a black Paul Wall at first, here… This ain’t bad; tha beat’s nice and undaground ta hold y’all down! Tha 2nd verse nice, too; good shit! My Rating: 4.2

½time: Wow, ½way through, already? Nice and consistent lil’ CD, so far! Of course, you got shit goin’ on wit your great, undaground productions and features!! Keep this shit up: 4.4 for tha CD rating, currently!

09. “Y’all Pussy” Feat. Hatch Boy & Big Bandit
Looks like a great collab! >>> “Goodies” beat? Oh, at least it rewinded! Oh wait, it’s not a joke; damn. Ehh, I dunno; at least tha vibe’s here… I know this 2004 or somethin’. Tha 1st verse’s nice and tha hook’s good, too, but more of a borderline guilty pleasure, for me, due to tha beat. Hearin’ Hatch on tha 2nd verse, and he sounds good/consistent, as always! A bad Bandit on tha 3rd verse, here, “not givin’ a fuck” if “your momma cryin’!” Nice verses, but c’mon, no mixtape beats! #blushes My Rating: 3.8

10. “Haterblockers” Feat. N.I.P., Bengie B, Gangsta, Lady Lex, Co. G & Suge
Wow, got tha “Out My Socks” dudes as a part of tha feature! Glad to see them back—or, this might be a lil’ older than I think it iz? Either way, I’m anticipated!! >>> Yea, this gotta be older wit tha sound, as well as #7 & #9 givin’ tha #TBT vibe away! But, once again, N.I.P. delivers anotha classic-soundin’ hook! It’s just how he comes through on tha hook and beat, together! Also, he sounds great on tha 1st verse, here; glad he always feelin’ fucked-up, just havin’ tha best of tha best times! Got you on tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse, here, comin’ through wit a good vibe! Yea, “pop ‘em two by two!” Gotta luv how that’s how you “pop” tha pillz, as well as tha “haterz!” Bengie on tha 2nd verse? I’m goin’ by tha order of tha features, here… Ehh, it’s an okay verse. This Gangsta on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse? Definitely feelin’ tha verse!! Those old vibes before everyone wanted to make tha ‘same,’ mainstream-soundin’, shyin’-away-from-Baton-Rouge’s-classic-soundin’-vibe!! Oh wait, that sounds like Gangsta on tha 3rd part of tha 2nd verse; great shit!! Wait, who this on tha 4th part? LOL, I’m so confused, but I’m lovin’ all tha features all over tha place!! Reminds me of tha old dayz of 2008 wit tha reviewz, where I had no clue who was who!! And, who’s this on tha 5th part, lol? Everything’s nice!! My Rating: 4.4

11. “Heaters” Feat. Trally Boy
Nice collab, again! >>> Nice beginning!! I like how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse, strictly havin’ haterz on your “nutsack!” That’s what’s up! This beat sounds like I’ve heard it before, but I don’t think it’s jacked…; or iz it? Seems so long ago to remember… Nice collaboration wit Trally, just spittin’ rhymes like a Max Minelli! Oh wait, it iz a slower-pitched version of “9mm;” I figured! I couldn’t even tell, at first! Speakin’ of that title, this January 23’ll mark six years since I had one to me! Think: I could’ve died, and only had three months of a Louisiana connection, knowin’ very few—and, like, none from Baton Rouge! My Rating: 4.3

12. “Put Yo Hood Up” Feat. Teflon Da Terrabull & C-IV
½ great feature, but ½ not thankin’ me for my awards! >>> This a familiar beat, too (T-Bo used it or somethin’); it’s all good, here, so let’s see how tha rhymes go… Nice shit from Teflon on tha 1st verse; can feel how much he anticipates B.A.N.s to come to him!! Nice hook wit puttin’ ya “number up;” kinda was like tha pre-“Put Your Numbers Up” (BluBlack & Pezie) joint? That’s what it reminds me of… Nice shit wit tha 2nd verse, too! Wow, since this iz you on tha 3rd verse, if that was C-IV on tha 2nd verse and/or hook, wow, it sounds good, and caught me off-guard! I almost was gonna say nothin’, but I couldn’t tell! This must’ve been back when he’d thank people for things! Anyway, here’s you on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit faster-soundin’ rhymes; definitely on-n-poppin’!! And, 32 seconds of silence at tha end…; not on-n-poppin’! My Rating: 4.3

13. “Tats & Golds”
Nice title! This year, you entered a new decade, too! >>> October 6, 2007 was, like, tha only day I saw “golds;” I hope to see more in tha future! I like how you hinted Brisco, as you were like, “I see you was lookin’ fa me.” Nice shit you got goin’ on wit tha 1st verse; sounds like regular rappin’, but tha production holds it down! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; do you eva run outta breath, lol? Nice shit!! My Rating: 4.5

14. “Go Hard” Feat. Da Hustlaz
Lookin’ forward to tha feature! >>> A rock-soundin’ beat start, here; iz this tha “Party Like A Rockstar” dayz, lol? Ooh @ tha hook, as you “go harrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd, all night long!!” Great delivery!! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit anotha anticipated fight! “Party from dusk! We party from dusk; all tha way ‘til dawn! All tha way ‘til dawn!” Gotta luv it! Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through like a drug virgin (“don’t smoke, don’t pop”)? That was me durin’ tha early dayz of my Louisiana connection, though I neva popped… Keepin’ tha Blaze vibe goin’ wit Da Hustlaz on tha 3rd verse! My Rating: 4.5

15. “Got It Made” Feat. $hizz
Bad anticipation for tha feature/song. You know I can’t comment on tha feature; I might still not get a job if people read feedback on someone who can’t take constructive criticism, smh! It just happened with one of my classmates’ shitty review, tha otha day! >>> A Young Hits production, here, but why tha fade-in intro? Low anticipation fa this… Yuck @ tha beginning; I made sure I paid attention to tha beginning, this time, and skipped it! Though I’m not a fan of “money” songs, at least this sounds old (way before I got robbed a ½ a stack by a BR dude), and it sounds like you got a lotta different kinds of “money” on tha 2nd verse! Damn, not tha 3rd verse, too? This was, like, a 50-second review or somethin’, smh… My Rating: 3.7

16. “I Betcha”
LOL, seems like this always appears on CDs! My Current Rating: 4.8

Overall: Wow, great CD!! Almost five stars, except tha jacked “Goodies” and $h(ater)izz—who likes auto-tune—got in tha way… But, very great, consistent CD!! Keep ‘em up!! Always stay loyal to tha 225 sound, your features, and tha production!!
