Review #1,859: Infinity Records "Infinity Records Compilation Vol. I"

Reviewed on 11.27.2019 (Review #1,859)

As I keep it movin’, this gon be tha last review for tonight: Infinity Records Infinity Records Compilation, Vol. I, released in 1999 on Infinity Records; say IR 3x, 5x fast, lol! Also, this CD was produced by Infamous…! Start Time: 6:01 PM | End Time: 7:19 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

02. “Who Dat Be”
>>> Sounds like an anthemic beat start…; leggo! Tha hook’s pretty hype; definitely nice, here! Can’t wait ta hear tha verses…! Strictly holdin’ it down fa tha souljaz, here; put up dat “soulja rag!” Long verses, it seems like, fa a long track… Either way, definitely hype, to tha fullest! >>> Anotha hyped-up vibe in tha beat, here; nice…! Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds cool; feelin’ tha hype fa a female track… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds good wit what y’all bring to tha table… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice; good shit… A lil’ bit of singin’, toward tha end; nice… My Rating: 4.2

04. “What I’m In Here For”
>>> Pretty nice beat, once again… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds good; good shit… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and yeah, when y’all said, “Baton Rouge,” I realized that this has, like, a Baton Rouge-soundin’ street vibe to it; good shit…! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds good wit this beat; can’t stop this vibe! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s good wit what y’all bring, here; keep it up! Hearin’ a nicely-rapped 3rd verse, as well; y’all know what it iz… My Rating: 4.1

06. “Bussin’ At U Niggas”

Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice; keep tha gutta vibes up! Got tha 2nd verse quickly comin’ through, here, soundin’ good; can’t complain… A chick’s on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit a jammin’ but gutta-soundin’ verse; nice… A fast-rapped 4th verse, here, soundin’ 100% dope!! Dude can’t be stopped! So quick of a verse; was over in tha breeze of an ear, lol! A 5th verse, here, soundin’ pretty good; keep it goin’… My Rating: 4.5

07. “God Forgive Me”
>>> Good lil’ slower beat… Hearin’ tha hook and it aight; simple and sweet, I guess? Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I’m feelin’ tha aggression in tha voice; not bad, overall… Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on, here, soundin’ pretty nice wit this street shit… It sounds like tha 3rd verse barely transitioned with tha hook, here; real-quick 3rd hook? My Rating: 3.7

08. “So Weak”
>>> Almost sounds like y’all remakin’/coverin’ SWV on tha hook, here; sounds good, tho, wit this beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s a lil’ Bone Thuggish, lol? Likin’ this whole ‘90s vibe…! Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on, here, soundin’ good, too; keep it goin’…! My Rating: 4.2

>>> Oh, N’awlinz…; hang in there! My Rating: N/A

½time: Sounds like a hot CD, for tha most part… Infinity Records to infinity! But, where’s beyond? Didn’t hear anythang else from y’all afta dis CD? A 4.2-rated CD, so far; let’s keep it goin’…!

10. “You’ve Been Warned”
>>> Sounds catchy as hell, for tha streetz! Nice hook and beat; y’all know what it iz! Verse time! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds good; energetic, too… Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on, here & it’s pretty nice; great job, y’all! Luvin’ tha faster dude on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse; rapidness! Now, we got tha 3rd verse & we got tha gangsta-soundin’ sound effects/lifestyle; nice! Keepin’ it movin’ with a 4th verse, here, as it sounds good wit tha consistent rhymes! My Rating: 4.4

11. “Can’t Stop Crime”
>>> Now, this one sounds like “It Was A Good Day”, in tha beat sample… It sounds like it’s gonna be a good one to remake, based off of how it’s sampled… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s nice fa this male singer; this iz a good night! Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ nice ta hear, here; good lil’ hood story… Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on, right nah & it’s pretty nice; keep tha hood poppin’… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it sounds nice ta hear, once again; nice jam fa tha ‘90s… My Rating: 4.3

Reviewed on 2.28.2017 (Review #1,664)

Disturbed Young Hustlaz Homies N My Head iz my next review, released in 1998 on G-Money Records & was produced by Infamous! Gotta congratulate myself this month ‘cause I reviewed at least one CD a day, this whole entire month! That hasn’t happened since nine Februarys ago, back in February 2008! Neva thought I woulda had enough time to re-create tha history! Happy 34th day in a row of reviewin’ a CD, too!! Start Time: 7:32 PM | End Time: 8:35 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 02. “Homies N My Head”
>>> I guess it’s tha hook, but this reminds me of my radio show that I used to have, back in ’09 – ’12… Hearin’ tha hook and I like how tha undaground beat sounds, wit this screwed voice! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, with anotha nice-soundin’ verse fa tha Gz! And, we got tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice, as well… My Rating: 4.3

05. Radio Station W.D.O.P.E.
>>> Sounds good, wit a slow beat in tha background… My Rating: N/A

06. “Blow It Up”
>>> Sounds nice, here; dope hook wit tha blowin’! “Blow it, light it! Blow it, light it!” Definitely dope! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like y’all holdin’ down this semi-No Limit sound, here! Funny ‘cause y’all just said, “We ‘bout it, ‘bout it,” just like tha song! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ decent, as well… And, tha 3rd verse ain’t too bad, here, as we keep it movin’… My Rating: 4.2

08. “Depressed”

Nice… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice, here, as y’all keepin’ y’all hustle up… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, here… Diggin’ tha line, “Got 99 problems but one of ‘em iz not a bitch!” This was five years before Jay-Z’s track! Wonder where he got it from? And, a 3rd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice… My Rating: 3.7

10. “Nothing To Lose”
>>> Sounds like a better beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ like some good, undaground, upbeat rap, here… Sounds like a nice hook, here, as y’all keep tha motivation up! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ dope to continue, as well… And, we got tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice, as well… My Rating: 3.8

11. “Keep It On Tha Lokee”

12. “Born Alone, Die Alone”
>>> A slower beat, here… Sounds like a sad-type song? I can feel tha hook, here, as far as all tha loneliness, sadly… Even tho I still struggle with loneliness, at least I can hang out err-day! With that bein’ said, tha 1st verse sounds decent, here… Anotha verse, here, keepin’ it movin’… Kinda feels like some of these tracks are kinda long, but tha eerieness in tha beats keep my interest up, a lil’… And, one final verse, here, soundin’ decent… My Rating: 3.5

13. “Drug Free”

14. “Disturbed Young Hustlaz”
Endin’ it with a self-titled track? >>> Sounds nice wit this sound and 1st verse, here! “Seafood gumbo;” mmm! Which kinda “gumbo” will I be enjoyin’, next month? We’ll see!! And, y’all keepin’ it movin’ wit tha rest of this, too! Somethin’ special in tha beat’s vibe, here, sounds nice ta hear… My Rating: 4.1

Overall: Tha 1st ¼ of this CD was pretty dope and then, it became more on a decent/above-average level… I also think some of these jointz were a lil’ too long, too… Either way, I thought this was a dope release!
