R.I.P. Video #50: Double Crossa

Recorded December 2, 2016

Broadcasting from tha West Mountain Sanitarium near Scranton, PA, it's ya boy, FrankieThaLuckyDog, here, reportin' anotha tragic loss in tha Louisiana rap community...

Ricardo Hollins, known by his two stage names, "Duck," and, "Double Crossa," was shot to death by multiple gunshots in tha parking lot of a clothing store near Canal Street in Mid-City, New Orleans, LA, on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Hollins' killing was tha fourth shooting occurred within a two-hour period in New Orleans. There was a man shot multiple times around noon in tha 2200 block of St. Andrew Street in Central City. At around 12:45 PM, gunfire had erupted in tha 7th Ward when officers tried to stop a vehicle. Tha vehicle's occupants stepped out and aimed fire at officers, which nobody was injured, according to NOPD spokesman, Tyler Gamble. Just minutes before Hollins' shooting, there was another shooting in tha Pines Village neighborhood, resulting in a man gettin' injured.

Hollins first became known in Louisiana's underground by being connected with fellow N'awlinz fallen soulja, Soulja Slim. They both started tha Cutthroat Comitty in tha early 2000s and in 2005, Hollins released his debut, Status Of My Own, on MDK Records. Aside from rappin', Hollins would later go on to become an author. Hollins' writing was inspired by reading Donald Goines' books. Hollins embraced how Goines would put his everyday life into writing books and would begin a journey into writing books. Hollins named his publishing company RHPublishing, naming it after his name. Hollins has written approximately 30 books in his lifetime, with Murda Capital being one of his first releases. RHPublishing also released Spoken Word Struggle Poetry Vol. 1, a 15-track disc of spoken word tracks. At tha time of his death, Hollins was only 40 years-old.

R.I.P. Video #47: VL Mike 2.0

Broadcasting from tha abandoned West Mountain Sanitarium in Scranton, PA... Today, April 20, 2016, marks eight years since tha murder of New Orleans rapper, Michael Allen, better known by his stage name, VL Mike. Allen was born on January 19, 1976 in New Orleans, LA. As a part of tha N.O.-based rap group, tha Chopper City Boyz, Allen & tha Chopper City Boyz released their debut album, We Got This, on February 27, 2007 on Chopper City Records & Koch Records. Tha album featured tha smash, "Make 'Em Mad", featuring B.G., which was produced by Mississippi heavyweight, David Banner. Tha album sold 27,000 copies in its first week, as it debuted @ #21 on tha Billboard Hot 200 chart, #4 on tha Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, #1 on tha Billboard Top Rap Albums chart, and #1 on tha Billboard Independent Albums chart. Shortly after tha album was released, Allen departed from Chopper City Records and went on to pursue a solo career on Executive Game Entertainment. From there, he released I'm The Truth (Da Mixtape) & Place Yo Betz in 2007. Shortly after, Allen was in talks with signing with Sony BMG & Epic Records, gettin' ready to release his debut album, It's Only One Me. However, on April 20, 2008, at around 1:00 PM, while exiting his vehicle on tha 4700 block of Miles Drive, Allen was shot multiple times by a mysterious gunman in New Orleans, where Allen later died at University Hospital. Word on tha street was that Allen's killer escaped by foot.

Shortly after his death, Allen's final-recorded verse would be released on April 24, 2008, on Baton Rouge's A-Mar & Dyl's "To The Max", with Max Minelli & VL Mike. Around tha same time, Allen's solo debut single, "Money In Here", featuring tha legendary N.O.'s Mannie Fresh, was released. In 2011, Mighty Muzik released Can't Say It 2 My Face, more unreleased material from Allen. If VL were alive today, he would've celebrated his 40th birthday on January 19, 2016, as he was only 32 years-old at tha time of his death.

Review #1,107: Gar & B.G. "Loyalty Is Royalty (Hosted by DJ 5150 & DJ Hektik)"

Reviewed on 12.26.2011 (Review #1,107)

This next review, which iz Gar & B.G. Loyalty Is Royalty (Hosted by DJ 5150 & DJ Hektik), iz not CD eligible? Why iz it 1:53:02? Guess it sold 0 copies in tha streetz, smh?! But, Billionaire Mafia Entertainment/Chopper City Records in tha buildin’ wit this one! Start Time: 8:36 AM End Time: 9:15 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I already love it. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating! Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Intro / “G.A.”
>>> Good intro; that’s DJ 5150 (tha 2nd dude’s voice), lol? Now, let’s see tha song… Sounds like a soft, Lloyd song? I thought this was a hard mixtape, not a soft one? Nothin’ really to comment; too soft! My Rating: 2.8

02. “Chopper City”
>>> Sounds real tight wit tha beat and tha hook! Rhymes are hella consistent wit Gar, here!! No B.G., lol? Guess it worked out real good for just Gar ‘cause tha 2nd verse was really on-n-poppin’, too!! My Rating: 4.6

03. “U Can Bleed Too” Feat. Skip & C-Murder
>>> Nice shit from Skip in tha 1st verse; why iz he last in tha ID? Good shit from C-Murder, at its finest, “too”!! Gar’s holdin’ shit down on tha 3rd verse, almost soundin’ like Max Minelli, here, which sounds tight, once again!! My Rating: 4.5

04. “Face Up”
>>> Ooh, an X-Fyle beat! Finally, some B.G., comin’ through wit some good, 31-year-old-type street shit, here! Good job wit havin’ Gar on this, too! Gotta luv tha collaboration he has wit Shell (Young Thugga) “Face Shots”! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Same Ol’ Shit” Feat. VL Mike
>>> Thought it was gonna be tha Magnolia Boyz joint fa a second, lol. Sounds like a soft song wit tha beginning, but I hear tha beat kickin’ in, once B.G. starts tha 1st verse… Good shit from him, still, and Gar has a nice 2nd verse… Damn, this iz 5:15? Way too long… B.G. has a much-betta 3rd verse goin’ on—oh wait, that’s Gar, lol; my bad for tha confusion, but it sounds hella tight wit tha fastness!! Wait a second, fuckin’ unsourced people? Who tha fuck are they?! LOL, tha only one I know iz VL Mike on tha last verse; lol, how random, but tight! My Rating: 4.0

06. “Gutta Gutta”
>>> Sounds like it gon be a good weed anthem? Yea, sounds good wit B.G. on tha 1st verse; consistent rhymin’ goin’ on… Tha hook says it all: “gutta as a muthafucka;” right! Good shit, somewhat, from Gar on tha 2nd verse, here… Nice and smooth lil’ 3rd verse from B.G., here; keep tha rhymes goin’!! My Rating: 4.2

07. “So 504”
Ain’t dat so?! >>> Really likin’ tha anthemic beat, as well as tha hook! Good shit from B.G. on tha 1st verse, representin’ at all times! “I got money now;” huh? You’ve been in tha game for almost two decades, Gizzle! What, nothin’ back then? Glad ta hear Gar on tha 2nd verse; you know what it iz wit dis! Glad ta hear some shit dat originated in tha streetz! My Rating: 4.5

08. “My Hood” Feat. Mannie Fresh
Hella old!!! Hate ’09!! No need to bring it back; I’m no longer a giving-idiot! My Current Rating: 3.8

09. “Walk With Me”
>>> Sounds decent, and almost reminds me of bein’ old, like tha last joint. B.G. sounds decent on tha 1st verse; lol @ tha gangsta lyrics… I like tha hook; sounds catchy for a mainstream song, even though I might’ve heard this before? All B.G. verses, here; okay, overall… My Rating: 3.8

10. “Choppers, 9’s & 40’s”
>>> Oh no, not jacked beats, especially from tha turned-into-gayland 2010! Whether I heard it or not, sounds consistent. My Rating: 4.0

11. “All Eyes On Me”
>>> “K.I. Dub on tha track”? Iz that K.I. Double? Interestin’ beat, though; definitely feelin’ it! Good job from B.G., as he comes through wit tha consistent rhymes! Good job from Gar, too; can’t deny tha 2nd verse! LOL, gotta end it wit Gizzle, comin’ through as tha “neighborhood supastar!” My Rating: 4.4

12. “I C U Ridin’ Homie”
No, it’s “ridin’”, not “riden”; smh @ people wit their “en” thinkin’ of words! >>> Okay wit tha Jeezy sample; not sure how people songs wit samples are, these dayz; kinda a fad? Beat’s pretty hot, includin’ how B.G. holds it down on tha 1st verse, wit his consistentness. Of course, gotta have Gar on tha 2nd verse; “black” everythang, lol? LOL! My Rating: 4.2

13. “Slippin’” Feat. Bonka
Bonka of Da Goonz on tha feature!!! Whoo!!! He freestyled on my latest mixtape, as well as doin’ a separate freestyle on my “ScrEEchin’ Crawfish” segment of my “Tha Louisiana Pit” undaground radio show! Definitely lookin’ forward ta dis!! >>> Really likin’ tha beat, as it has some foreign country/Egyptian-type sounds goin’ on!! Whoa, there’s a bunch of hot sounds goin’ on, here!! Tha hook’s pretty nice; thumbs up fa creatin’ some shit like dis!! Definitely not “slippin’” when it comes ta deliverin’ nothin’ but tha best!! Gar does a nice job wit tha great hook, and B.G. does a great job deliverin’ tha 1st verse, in an anti-“slippin’” perspective! Hearin’ Gar rap on tha 2nd verse, and it’s good… good. LOL, Bonka was high as fuck when he freestyled for me, so I can only imagine how many blunts he had when he knew he was gonna collaborate wit y’all, lol! Sounds like some serious shit he spittin’ on tha 3rd verse; gotta luv his voice, and I’m glad he came through wit his tightness!! My Rating: 4.7

14. “Colder”
Not “softer”, I hope. >>> Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaatttttttttt iiiiiiiizzzzzzzzzzzz thhiiiiiiiiissssss Drake beat?! Makin’ feedback quick… Sounds good/aight, but why this beat? I could’ve sworn I was listenin’ to undaground music! My Rating: 3.3

½time: A 4.1-rated CD; real nice job, here, wit dis shit! Was surprised ta hear Bonka; definitely gave this some excitement, and y’all got some nice collaborations, here!

15. “The Real Is Back” Feat. Benzino
Benzino, tha white dude that had a song in 2002, a while ago? Or, am I trippin’, and forgot that Benzino was on a few mixtapes, previously? >>> Sounds good; nothin’ much ta say, here, except tha really hot beat in tha hook. My Rating: 4.1

16. “Lose My Mind”
>>> Sounds famil—no, not anotha jacked beat! A lil’ catchy for a remake, but whateva; it’s betta than tha “Colder” one! My Rating: 3.7

17. “’Bout That”
>>> Sounds like a song I heard before, but you already know, this iz tight, too, especially this continuous, “I’m ‘bout that” hook! My Rating: 4.3

18. “U See Why”
>>> A lil’ soft, even though it has a street vibe to it wit tha lyrics…; what’s up wit tha long-ass lengths? My Rating: 3.5

19. “Set It Off”
>>> LOL, jacked beat but it’s okay for a remake… My Rating: 3.6

20. “’Bout This Grindin’”
Nooooo, not these gay-ass ’09 dayz, again!! I’ll admit, I did a bunch of ‘free’, faggy things in that year! I’m glad I learned betta!! My Current Rating: 4.5

21. “Make It Official”
>>> Beat’s nothin’ special, but tha rhymes are pretty good… My Rating: 3.6

22. “Batt’em Up” Feat. Red
LOL, tha feature’s listed, this time? >>> A lil’ long for a mixtape, but whateva… Okay wit tha good rhymes, although tha hook seems to make tha highlight, as I hear a lil’ bit of G-Funk goin’ on, in tha beat! Nice job wit tha collaboration; keep this shit up! My Rating: 4.2

23. “Don’t Wanna Be Without You” Feat. Real
Somebody’s named “Real”, smh? Prolly could’ve had a different name? Also, “without”, not “with out”, smh. >>> Sounds like a jam; this one’s too long, too… This sounds like an old school vibe, which sounds good; likin’ these soundin’-like late ‘90s, early ‘00s rhymes, even though tha joint’s only decent, overall, for me. My Rating: 3.9

24. “Stalkin’”
LOL. >>> Anotha good vibe like tha previous song, includin’ a melody! LOL, smh @ tha people that try ta “stalk” me; glad I don’t have ta be there fa everyone! Good job wit tha consistent verses; anti-“stalkin’” point of view, here! My Rating: 4.3

25. “Bust A Move”
>>> A smooth vibe, here, that’s not soft, but good…; nice shit, here, Gizzle. Tha hook’s pretty smooth, here; likin’ what Gar’s bringin’ to tha table, too. LOL @ all this “suck dat dick” shit; you really goin’ at ‘em, in a tauntin’ way, Gizzle! My Rating: 4.1

26. “Whateva U Like”
>>> Some mainstream sound, here; think it sounds good, almost like a follow-up single. Mysterious female singin’ on tha hook? Nice triple combo, though! Gizzle strippin’ down ta please tha ladies, here, lol. My Rating: 3.8

27. “Keep It Real” Feat. Alfamega
An ATL collaboration here, P$C style… >>> Gotta luv tha “wuzzam” intro!! Gizzle, you a classic fool fa dat!! Feelin’ tha hook; has a lil’ bit of a T.I. “Big Things Poppin’” feel to it (I assume Mannie Fresh produced this?), even though I shouldn’t be bringin’ up those gay-ass ’07 times! Sounds like this joint would have good memories or somethin’, in tha future, just like every single song I heard in 2008?! Gar did a nice job on tha 2nd verse, here; feelin’ how he comes through fa tha streetz wit his hidden energy! Alfamega sounds hella tight on tha 3rd verse, bringin’ back some great-soundin’ ATL shit! Good job wit this collaboration; really luvin’ tha consistency goin’ on, here!! My Rating: 4.6

28. “50 Rules”
>>> Almost reminds me of Max Minelli in tha beginning; how Gartastic, if you say so, lol! More “G.A.” reppin’ goin’ on? How ‘bout, “504, 504, 504, 504, 504, 504…,” instead? Beat’s definitely jammin’, here; nice job wit comin’ through wit this shit, courtesy of Gar takin’ this joint ova, in tha beginning! No need fa Gizzle, here; it’s all about Gar!! Glad he holdin’ tha whole joint down! My Rating: 4.3

29. “Gunz N Roses (Free B.G.)”
LOL, interestin’ title ta end this mixtape… >>> Sounds like an identity crisis wit tha production, here, but it’s still pretty good. Once again, Gar holdin’ this whole joint down, doin’ a nice job wit tha streetz, here, and his hidden voice, lol! My Rating: 4.2

Overall: Even though way too long of a mixtape, this was definitely tight shit! No skits, just music, lol! Good job, guys; my dude P.I.R. told me B.G. might get 40 years (be 71 years-old by tha time he gets outta jail)? Sad, but people need to be more alert!

Review #699: Snipe "Dealer"

Reviewed on 12.19.2010 (Review #699)

Time ta keep tha reviewz goin’ fa today! Startin’ it off iz Snipe “Dealer! Chopper City Records in tha buildin’! Start Time: 8:12 AM | End Time: 9:15 AM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01.
Oh yea, I don’t have a tracklisting so this gon be a blind review. Let’s see how it gon start! >>> Ooh, it sounds like older music! How old iz this? I guess it’s recent due to its post on Word Of South. Nice vibe here and you doin’ a nice job here, Snipe. Nice hook wit tha lady on it… My Rating: 4.3

02.
#2… >>> What’s up wit tha fade-in intro? This sounds more like an actual current sound, which iz pretty good for tha streetz! My Rating: 4.1

03.
Keepin’ it goin’ here… >>> Not bad here; “reppin’ dat Nola” to tha fullest, I see. Tha acapella at tha end was cool. My Rating: 3.9

04.
What’ll this one sound like? >>> Sounds like a quiet start and almost sounds like #2? But, tha hook has more of “suspect” in tha hook more than “tell ‘em who I’m iz”. More of a non-“trust” issue when it comes to people; definitely a plus here. You know I moved on from trust issues as far as networkin’ goes! Now, I’m all about win/win situations! Ooh, I see Skip hopped onto tha 2nd verse, talkin’ ‘bout dat real shit! My Rating: 4.2

05.
>>> Nice beat start here; I think dis gon be pretty good. Sounds like a “protection” anthem here; thumbs up… I like tha rhymin’ wit “-ycle”; good job wit tha flow here! Good content, too. My Rating: 4.2

06.
What’ll be next? >>> Longer song this time and a more anticipated beat intro! Good shit here; consistent rhymes over a pretty tight beat! Even if it’s just one sound in tha verse, it’s hotness! Tha intro to my debut CD has only ONE sound effect tha whole way ‘through and it sounds REAL tight wit me rappin’ on it! Ooh, a fast rapper appeared on tha 2nd verse; will I be able ta ID tha fastness, lol? Sounds like anotha dude on tha 3rd verse, too. Slower flow but a better attitude when rappin’! Sounds like dis’s called “One Dance” based off of what you “need” in tha hook? My Rating: 4.5

07.
Pretty good streak here; let’s keep it up! >>> LOL, even longer here. Oh, Auto-Tune? Just goin’ to skip without hesitation! I get lucky wit tha A-Tune skips; they’re always, like, five minutes! It saves me time ‘cause I got HUNDREDS of current CDs to review before tha end of tha year! Don’t need to waste time on garbage!! My Rating: 1.0

08.
>>> Ooh, fast rappin’ goin’ on here!! Tha beat’s pretty nice wit a lil’ organ sound in tha background! Tha rappin’ iz so consistent here; good shit! Soundin’ like a Jay-Z sample here wit tha “fuckin’ boss” (or “dawg”), lol. Tha 2nd verse sounds like a fast T.I.; good shit! My Rating: 4.3

09.
Almost at tha ½ point; let’s make it good fa what happened wit #7! >>> Beat sounds kinda depressin’… Tha rappin’ iz DEFINITELY on point here, though! Doesn’t even matter what tha beat sounds like now!! Tha beat ending iz real nice! My Rating: 4.4

½time: Soundin’ pretty good; you got a consistent set of rhymes as well as some pretty good production, too! So far, you’re at a 3.9 for this CD; let’s keep it up and tha wackness down!

10.
Start of tha 2nd ½… >>> Sounds like an anticipatin’ intro wit tha beat once again! Tha beginning of tha rappin’ (hook?) sounds like I bound ta hear a fast rapper (like my boy Lil’ Witness)! “Like an exclamation point”; this iz DEFINITELY nice!! “[Cold life]” here on tha content; you know what it iz! Tha last hook sounded a lil’ off-beat… My Rating: 4.2

11.
>>> Doesn’t sound like a good start; you shouldn’t use a sample to prove a point. Tha beat’s startin’ ta sound a lil’ underground so this iz a plus… Tha hook seems boring but tha rhymes are still good. Damn, this iz almost four minutes? Would’ve been better if it was a lil’ under three minutes. My Rating: 3.3

12.
>>> Sounds like a betta start. Tha hook sounds like a jam. Very consistent wit all tha rhymes goin’ on here!! A 50-second beat outro? My Rating: 4.3

13.
>>> Damn, this sounds like a depressin’ one. Was waitin’ for tha A-Tune to come out so I could skip it but there’s none. Kinda soft to hear this right now so I believe dat it doesn’t exactly fit. It’s a pretty good slow jam, regardless. I actually like tha long drum ending. My Rating: 3.5

14.
What’ll be next? >>> This sounds slow, too; what tha? Good attitude but tha previous song was better. My Rating: 3.4

15.
Next. >>> Damn, this iz anotha slow song; I kinda can’t take all these back to back… Are these just gettin’ more and more boring for me? Tha last verse wasn’t too bad… My Rating: 3.1

16.
C’mon now… >>> Was a lil’ bleh in tha beginning but sounds interestin’ that it’s about a “natural high”; good shit! Overall, this iz kinda boring for me; tha hook was mainly tha catch for me, unfortunately. LOL @ tha “fiendin’ fa my semen” part before tha verse ended! My Rating: 3.7

17.
>>> What a GAY hook!! Are we eva gonna recover from this mess? Not that bad on tha 1st verse but nothin’ special to make for a CD that was originally pretty tight! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty gay for dis, too… Good thing you at least took over on tha 2nd ½ of it… My Rating: 1.8

18.
Tha last song; will it piss me off, too? >>> Quiet sounding? It’s really low on tha volume but sounds better… Once tha hook came on, it doesn’t sound like somethin’ I’d have a lot of interest for. My Rating: 3.6

Overall: Started off pretty good but really had a bad 2nd ½…

Review #255: Gar "Certified Muzik Vol. 1"

Reviewed on 7.04.2009 (Review #255)

Wat up? Ya boy FrankieThaLuckyDog here! 'Bout ta deliver anotha review on ya asses 'cause that's what I do, ya dig! Here goes tha solo mixtape review fa Gar of Chopper City Boyz and "Certified Muzik"! Start Time: 4:16 PM | End Time: 5:38 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! © 2009 CD Review (Review #255) reviewed on 7.04.2009 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. "Intro"
Startin' this thang off; let's see here... >>> Feelin' tha intro here, and tha way you're rappin' in tha intro reminds me of Max Minelli right chea wit how he sounds. Feelin' tha rhymes here, as it's talkin' about people goin' commercial and shit, tha bad way. Nice start to what could be a good CD here! My Rating: 3.9

02. "50 Rules"
Looks like a great title! I'm lookin' forward ta hearin' these "rules" and shit, especially "50" of 'em! >>> Glad you're "pledge allegiancin'" in tha beginning ta err-one you wanna pledge allegiance to. Nice beat here, and I'm hearin' all tha rules (1-2 per each line), and it's soundin' REAL catchy!! Real nice job here, as all tha rules are true here! Yea, "Rule 20: Do wat you gotta do fa that money;" true shit. I like Rule 34, as it was "charge more fa shippin' & handlin';" nice. I like tha 39th rule, as you said, "if ya grind, ya gotta stay focused." A whole song of 1 verse right chea; NICE shit!! Reminds me of Dee-1 almost wit tha lyrical content! My Rating: 4.7

03. "Look Me In My Eyes"
Looks like this one gon be grimy; lookin' forward again! >>> Tha gunshot prepared me, and it sounds like this beat goin' hard!! This might be REAL grimy!! Anotha tight hook right chea wit that TIGHTNESS!! Here comes tha 1st verse here, and your eyes are "bloodshot red from all tha purple;" I feel you on that! You doin' yo thang on tha 1st verse right chea; non-stop tight shit right chea! Definitely a great 1st verse, and that 2nd verse iz comin' up, and I'm REALLY lookin' forward ta it!! I guess you're 25 years old since you said "25 years of pain." Why does every underground rapper (pretty much) have ta live a whole life of pain? Thingz gettin' REAL gangsta at 2:44 wit tha choppa blastin', as well as tha line rewindin'! Felt that 2nd verse as soon as it got real gangsta! I knew there was gonna be a long beat outro here ('cause 40+ seconds wasn't enough fa a 3rd verse). I'm glad it's not just tha beat, and that there's mixin' mixin' in tha outro. Nice outro wit "you're now listenin' ta Certified Muzik...!" My Rating: 4.6

04. "Problem Solver"
Shorter song here (2:48), but it looks like tha heat gon continue!! >>> Yea, these beats go hard!! Anotha GREAT song here wit tha hook goin' off too!! Yea, "solve those problems!" You sound like Juvenile a lil' on tha 2nd 1/2 of tha hook. Gangsta lyrics goin' on here in tha 1st verse; nothin' but TIGHT gangsta shit!! What's tha reversed lyric at :53? Even from 1:04 - 1:06? You doin' sum gangsta shit; no need fa censored shit! But either way, retarded 1st verse right there; str8 gangsta! Tha 2nd verse here now, and it continuin' ta be pretty good. I feel it less gangsta than tha 1st verse, but you know I enjoy this shit, so that's watz good! My Rating: 4.4

05. "Come & See 'Bout Me" Feat. Hurricane Chris
Ooh, Hurricane Chris on this; I wonder how this gon turn out? >>> Sounds like Hurricane goin' off on that hook; he ain't fuckin' playin' wit his attitude, lol! That fast rappin' from him on tha 1st verse here! He deliverin' a lotta gangsta shit wit tha "pistols" and shit that he be spittin'! Real nice verse from him on this shit!! I wonder how you'll contribute ta this shit?! I thought Hurricane sounded betta, but it still sounds real good on your end! I liked your "posted" part in your verse; that's what started ta makin' it sound betta. Great shit right chea! My Rating: 4.3

06. "See No Evil"
Anotha nice title, and this song iz 4:30+ on tha length!! >>> Mo consistent shit fa my ears, ya feel me! Sounds grimy in tha hook, so thumbs up on anotha great track! Great job on this 1st verse here. Wow, tha ending REALLY was a plus wit tha "45 clips... you can suck 45 dicks," lol! Tha hook iz true, as "you can get murked/die," if you fuck up and be somewhere at tha wrong place/wrong time! Someone featured on tha 2nd verse (not sourced)? They said, "say, Gar;" who iz it? Did he say, "Mr. Dinero," or somethin'? Either way, not bad verse on tha 2nd verse. Do I hear B.G. comin' up? Nope, someone else, lol. This verse iz soundin' betta than tha 2nd verse; it's gradually gettin' betta too! Tha beat iz gettin' betta too; LOL @ tha graduation! Yea, my dawg B.G. on tha outro; I luved his fuckin' "WAHHHHHHHH, wuz haanin'!!" shit at tha end!! My Rating: 4.2
EDIT: I looked online, and even on CD Universe (from Google), no featured artists were sourced...?

07. "'Bout Dis Grinding" Feat. B.G.
Ooh, B.G. on tha feature here!! This should be sum tight shit!! >>> Sounds like The Runners in tha beginning/tha beat. Ooh, great hook wit tha title repeatin', Runners style!!! B.G. in tha intro talkin', and now, rappin' in tha 1st verse! Of course, doin' his thang, and always bein' himself when it comes ta this Rap shit! Lookin' back: B.G. was tha 1st Louisiana artist ta retire on my Top 10 Countdown back in 2003 wit "Hottest Of The Hot (Clinton Sparks Remix)"; CRAZY shit!!! You're on tha 2nd verse here, and I think you sound betta; I like tha way your flow sounds wit tha fastness in tha beginning, and then, just deliverin' that shit in tha next few lines. I like your "pill" line at 2:08, and then, all tha shit about drug-dealin' 'em afta that; nice shit here! Really felt your verse, and I'm really feelin' tha hook wit Gizzle goin', "nigga, what chu know;" nothin' but tightness!! My Rating: 4.6

08. "Certified" Feat. Juvenile
I thought tha length was similiar, but this a minute longer. As I mentioned Juvie earlier in tha review, now, here he iz wit you! Although tha last song wit B.G. was a 4.6 rated song by me, let's see what this gon turn out ta be! >>> Juvie turnin' tha intro's quality up here wit "it's gettin' kinda hectic!" Sounds like a Detroit type beat here, which iz different/pretty good. You on tha hook here, and it's soundin' good; exposin' them fakes that are "not certified!" You on tha 1st verse here, explainin' how "certified" you are wit this Rap shit. Nice lil' verse from you, ALWAYS keepin' it real!! LOL, here comes Juvie on tha 2nd verse! Yea, "he ain't no hoe!" Nice job from him, and when he said, "homie," it sounded like how Plies says it; iz Plies jackin'? I rememba tha fake stories about Plies last year... That's a no-no if that's true about Plies! Anyway, yea, let's see this 3rd verse... It's from you, and you're showin' your true freshness/quality of tha shit you got. Yea, "that purple kush iz all you smell!" Nice joint right chea! My Rating: 4.4

½time: Well, looks like a REAL good mixtape right chea!! I seem VERY pleased wit EVERY joint on here!! Keep doin' yo thang; you KNOW I luv this Louisiana shit, ya dig!! Average CD rating iz currently a WHOPPING 4.4!!

09. "Make It Official" Feat. B.G.
Ewe, 2:32 on tha length? LOL... But, wit B.G. on this bitch again, you KNOW this bitch "official;" yea!!! >>> Not sure of tha start here... Now that tha 1st verse iz here, it sounds like tha beat has an older influence. It almost reminds me of one of B.G.'s "Livin' Legend" beats (one of tha songs fa tha females)... Decent 1st verse; I can't really say anything really... Let's see what B.G. gon do on tha 2nd verse... *WRONG* No B.G. (I guess that was just him on tha hook wit you)! Okay verse, but I thought I would have more interest... That's prolly why it only 2:32. My Rating: 3.5

10. "On Deck"
Now, it's really just you. Let's see how you gon hold this track down... >>> More upbeat, Rap style here in tha beat. Reminds me of "Big Things Poppin'" beat... Nice "ya heard me" part in tha intro. Tha 1st verse iz here, and it sounds like you rappin' REAL NICE on this beat!! It sounded like tha beat vibrated at :25; that was a nice, unexpected effect! LOL @ "smoke onions" part. Nice rappin' once again; "in tha streets where I roam like a Sprint phone!" Tha end of tha 1st verse ended great wit tha hustlin' part (wit sellin' shit)! Ooh, even tha hook has that purp and shit in it; GREAT hook!! Tha 2nd verse iz here, and it's soundin' like anotha 1st verse wit tha way it's great! I like how you said "Louisiana" at 2:07 (gotta have ya state in tha song somewhere)! Tha bridge was nice, and this shit iz tha shit right chea! Yea, "Certified Muzik Vol. 1, my nigga;" I feel you on dat lil' part on tha outro! Nice outro too, and when Vol. 2 comes out, you KNOW I need dat shit in my life, ya dig! My Rating: 4.7

11. "One Day At A Time" Feat. Detroit
Iz Detroit from Detroit? I know, that was so cheesy, right, lol? But yea, let's see how this collaboration goes... >>> Slow intro here, so I don't know what ta expect... Tha piano kicked in at :22, and now, I hear a gurl "ran away at 16?" That sounds sad, and you explained that "her stomach all fat," so, she got pregnant real early? Sounds like an odd life... Even "in and outta jail?" I'm writin' so much right now without talkin' about how I thought tha beat was slow in tha beginning. Anyway, yea, tha beat kicked in betta at :45, and I'm likin' it fa a start intro. Tha Detroit singer no less sounds pretty good singin' on tha hook too wit that "one day at a time" type shit. Sounds like a lyrical song I like! Tha 2nd verse iz great, and I like how you said, "mama washed her hands wit 'em," 'cause that's how I feel when it comes ta assholes that don't wanna be supported by me (WTF?). Really, who WOULDN'T wanna have support from me?!? Tha 3rd verse here, and it's soundin' good too! Nice job on this shit right chea! My Rating: 4.3

12. "I Know"
"I [don't] know" what ta expect... >>> Did a car just pass by at :13? LOL, just playin'. Tha otha song sounds betta fa a start here... It sounds like it more fa tha females here. I thought tha 1st verse was decent; nothin' really ta say. However, that hook sounds betta; I like tha female singin' on tha 2nd 1/2 of it! Tha 2nd verse iz soundin' great fa a start, "smokin' dat purp on Cloud 9!" Sounds like you make dem gurlz horny wit tha way you are; that's a plus fa you! A much betta 2nd verse here, and now, tha 3rd verse iz here... More catering here fa tha special female. A shorter verse (like 4 lines I think), but it wasn't that bad. This sounds like a long beat outro... My Rating: 3.6

13. "Slippin'" Feat. B.G.
Anotha short title, and this one prolly iz betta than tha last song; tha title speaks fo itself! >>> Yea, my ma'fuckin' dawg B.G. in tha beginning wit "waz haanin', dawg?" Yea, MUCH BETTA here!! When I wrote "tha title speaks fo itself," I thought tha title was "Sippin'" fa a sec; I didn't see that "L", lol. Ooh, B.G. spittin' tha 1st verse on here (that's anotha ID Error 'cause he's not sourced on this)!! Yea, he spittin' that REAL shit right here!! Gangsta lyrics on his verse wit "luvin' his choppa;" he gotta have it, ya dig! Real nice job wit him on tha 1st verse!! Forgot ta compliment tha hook from you; it's REAL nice, especially wit evadin' tha title, as you're NOT "slippin'!" Tha 2nd verse here iz from you, and it's pretty NICE, especially tha "shoot a queen in ya ace, no, it ain't a game, boy" line; you KNOW I luv my gamblin', ESPECIALLY when it in raps!! Great verse, as you just kept it street; what otha way ya gotta keep it? Here comes tha 3rd verse... I don't know who this iz, but they sound like T.I. on this shit. He did a nice job on his verse, and I agree: "Real nigga do real thangz;" all tha shit I be doin' iz STR8 UP REAL!!! If anyone can gimme tha featured artist on here (and on #6), lemme know! My Rating: 4.5

14. "Same Ol' 2 Step"
Are you makin' fun of dance moves, or are you gonna contribute? I hope you insult them...! >>> WTF? 50 Cent sample?! Sounds like anotha Runners beat, only this sounds gay wit 50 on this shit... Tha 1st verse here sounds like you at least keepin' it fresh and shit, enterin' tha club. I thought tha 1st 1/2 of your 1st verse was pretty good; tha otha 1/2 was kinda consistent (wit nothin' ta really say). Tha 2nd verse here iz soundin' pretty street, as you always keep it. That's cool that you "been trappin' all day." Tha 3rd verse iz soundin' supportive, as you're "doin' this fa yo niggaz," even wit those in jail. Nice job on tha verses here; it was just tha hook that got me. My Rating: 4.0

15. "Wishing Death On Me"
Looks like a hater title/lyrical song... >>> Tha horns in tha intro remind me of tha type of Juvie/Cash Money shit from back in tha Early 2000's. Ooh, even wit tha beat kickin' in betta on tha hook (soundin' like Lil' Wayne's "Where You At" a lil' bit). That hook iz nice; feelin' this one right chea! Great job on this 1st verse here; just anotha street anthem, ya dig! Tha 2nd verse here iz soundin' great too. You also deliverin' some mission you got ta do in tha 2nd verse; I like that/good luck wit your future! Only 2:48? This should've been longer... It could've used a 3rd verse! My Rating: 4.4

16. "I Hustle (Remix)" Feat. Young Jeezy, B.G. & Maino
LOL, this 2007 song came outta nowhere! I rememba this shit, yet I rememba gettin' it! It was during borderline bad times in Fall 2007. Now, nearly 2 years later, here comes tha remix; wonder how good it gon sound? >>> This was RIGHT before my Louisiana connection started ta pop off!! B.G. kept it real wit that hook! Tha 1st verse from him iz tha same as tha original, and still soundin' good. Here comes Young Jeezy on tha 2nd verse... Still tha same verse, although when I had tha original, it was clean; glad this iz dirty! He sounds good still on his verse; great shit here! Let's see who we got here on tha 3rd verse... It's Maino, and he "hustlin'" wit his rhymes and his street cred here! I like that "100 grand heavier / niggaz betta hurry up" part; great rhymin'! You're on tha 4th verse (nice ta see 4 verses within a lil' ova 4 minutes of a remix), and it's still soundin' great (like your otha songs)! Nice mixin' from 3:36 - 3:38 wit dat "servin'" part; nice end ta your verse too! I always liked that cold ending of this beat too! My Rating: 4.4

Overall: Did yo thang on this shit, fa real!! Just NOTHIN' but consistent BANGERZ on this shit, ya dig!! Keep doin' yo thang, and keep Chopper City Boyz breathin'!! VL's death shouldn't affect you & tha Chopper City Boyz's rappin' abilities, and this mixtape proved it!!

Review #243: "Next 2 Blow: New Orleans 2009"

Reviewed on 6.25.2009 (Review #243)

FrankieThaLuckyDog here again; 'bout ta do anotha review that I've had on my computer fa a while now. This iz my review fa "Next 2 Blow: New Orleans 2009"! Start Time: 11:33 AM | End Time: 1:40 PM

If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

01. Partners-N-Crime Feat. 5th Ward Weebie "So Attracted"
Just heard this for tha 1st time tha other day. I think it's catchy, especially for an Auto-Tune song! Here's what I had ta say recently about it: No comment on tha intro, but I like tha Bounce beat here. Hope tha 1st verse ain't gay... Too much great shit goin' on in tha beat, so I can't really hate much. Still, get rid of tha Auto-Tune vocals! A good hook I must say (even wit those Auto-Tune type vocals), but that "Thang Thang" song [of PNC] sounded betta! Good 2nd verse, and tha 3rd verse iz here... Sounds like it's much betta here/5th Ward Weebie style (oh yea, that's him 'cause he just said his name)! Tha CORRECT rapper here!! ... I might put this in rotation, but not sure of how much I'll play it. Thank you, 5th Ward Weebie, for contributing!! To Add: Why iz tha Bounce breakdown cut off (originally 'pose ta be at 3:03 in tha song, which was where this version ended)? I enjoyed that part, especially tha 90's "dunn-dunn-dunn-dunn" vibe!! A deduction in tha rating by a lil' for that! My Current Rating: 3.7 (only lost 0.1; not bad)

02. Sess 4-5 "Gettin' That Gwop"
Like that title, and I neva heard tha artist before, so this should be anticipating!! >>> Sounds like (in a video game) tha type of beat intro that would confuse a monster (in Final Fantasy), lol. Great intro, and I'm DEFINITELY feelin' that intro; great shit here!! Fuckin' tight hook, and tha 1st verse here iz tha shit when it comes to hustlin'! This dude DEFINITELY holdin' this track down! Fuckin' glad it's nice and long (4:32 on tha length)!! Doin' tha damn thang on tha 2nd verse; "20 grand for every 2 shows," huh? That's watz good if it true! When I hear about people gettin' money from shows, usually, they say 1 G... Tha 1st verse was betta, but tha 2nd verse (of course) held it down in a GREAT way! Great 3rd verse too (sounded shorter); DEFINITELY a great new artist right chea!! Come to think of it, I neva heard this dude before, but his name looks familiar... Maybe I've seen it on MySpace or somethin'? I dunno... My Rating: 4.6

03. Shawt "East Anthem"
Anotha new artist fa me... "East Anthem", huh? I'm from tha "East", so I guess this'll be a plus fa me, New Orleans style? >>> Sounds like a real familiar beat start (unless it sampled somethin'). Where did that guy come in at :12? LOL... Great beat intro, and it sounds like tha 1st verse iz off to a REAL GREAT start!!! Like that "consistently" part; I ALWAYS say that in my reviews! Definitely a NICE verse right there! I wonder what tha rest gon sound like!! Sounds like a featured person on tha 2nd verse (there's no info on who it iz, so I don't know; someone add on if you know). That acapella part at like 2:07 was NICE! Tha 3rd verse sounds tha same; iz there a featured person? I dunno... Good job on tha 3rd verse too! My Rating: 4.3

04. Chopper City Boyz Feat. C-Murder "U Can Bleed 2"
Ooh, they're on here. I thought they were a lil' mainstreamish to be on here though ('cause ain't this a CD fulla cats that haven't had mainstream success yet?). Still, it looks like a GREAT title, so you KNOW I need ta hear some new CCB!! >>> Speaking of tha letter C, C-Murder startin' off wit a REAL NICE start!! Ooh, tha 1st verse iz soundin' REAL NICE here!!! BTW, IDK if this exactly sounds like them, so I just googled to see a tracklisting (other than tha one I had), and I only found tha one I had online, so unfortunately, it's whateva. C-Murder iz MURDERIN' this one right here!!! Sounds like Max Minelli wit tha title? Did someone ID this wrong? Now, hearin' tha verse, I guess not, but it close. Anotha nice verse right there before tha song ended; crazy shit here!! My Rating: 4.7

05. Dizzy a.k.a. Raw D.I. "Like A Muthafucka"
LOL @ tha title (just tha "muthafucka" in it)!! New Dizzy junt, so let's see... >>> Likin' that beat intro, and LOL @ tha Dizzy in tha intro. Ooh, feelin' tha hook, and tha beat iz gettin' better too! Nice flowin' from him here! He ain't downin' himself, which iz great! Ooh, GREAT beat style at :46!! Feelin' tha hook now; sounds GREAT wit those added lyrics!! NICE attitude on tha start to tha 2nd verse; keepin' it RAW! DEFINITELY a nice 2nd verse; really enjoyin' this shit to tha fullest!! Ooh, a 3rd verse!! DEFINITELY a hot song here; wow, this CD iz just SO consistent; REAL NICE start to this CD!!! My Rating: 4.6

06. The Show "Bonafied"
How ironic that Dizzy and The Show are back 2 back, as they remind me of a team ('cause they were always played on Big Boot Radio). Hope to hear an original beat on a Show song, so hopefully, I expect greatness!! >>> It maybe good to see Stevie Drumma on tha beat, but I'm not really into tha gurl in tha background (for a start to tha song). Tha beat ain't that bad; I can deal wit it wit Show's rhymes here! Good thing tha beat iz dark here, and tha vocal sample in tha background ain't always appearin' outta nowhere. Great 1st verse (of course), and tha hook was nice too. Real nice rhymes in tha 2nd verse too, although I liked tha 1st verse better! That hook iz SO short, but sounds GREAT! Tha 3rd verse iz REAL nice too! Nice ending wit that hook again! My Rating: 4.1

07. Nutt Da Kidd "Do It 4 Scrilla"
Looks like a Bounce song... I hope so 'cause Nutt didn't do too good (I think it was him) on that Quarter Key mixtape. Please, no Auto-Tune! >>> Tha gurl in tha beginning iz worse than tha last song, but tha beat sounds good. Okay, maybe he doesn't sound so bad. Matta fact, he soundin' great here! Ooh, "drink my elixir;" glad he mentioned a Final Fantasy item, lol. Wow, tha rhymes are REAL, REAL GOOD!!! Tha hook iz nice here. I wonder who I mistook Nutt for on tha Quarter Key mixtape? Okay, neva mind, tha 2nd verse iz decreasin' in quality wit that Auto-Tune shit; who iz that? Thank God tha verse ended 'cause tha "real" iz back in tha song! WTF? More Auto-Tune on tha 3rd verse? I think that's Nutt this time. Now, it switched to (I think) tha dude on tha 2nd verse. Much betta lyrics than tha last few parts on tha 2nd 1/2 of tha 3rd verse here. Wow, what a fuckin' gay ending; shut up already wit that Auto-Tune shit wit tha title! My Rating: 3.6

08. 5th Ward Weebie Feat. Lil' Wayne "Bend It Ova"
Tha cat was let outta tha bag when I accidently saw this song on here. Of course, for some reason, when I download a CD, there's always one song (either I've known it for a while, or wanted it to be on here) that unexpectedly appears, and this time, it's this song! OMG!!! What an anthem for Fall 2008 for me (although it was out like Spring 2008)!!! This song marked tha R.I.P. of Big Boot Radio for me 'cause 5th Ward Weebie was on their September 17, 2008 show, and they didn't let me talk to him (when they told me to call in later, and then he left before I could call; I was PISSED)! Either way, tha Alex McConduit phase was over by then. I mean, I got ta talk to Chopper City Boyz and shit; why not 5th Ward Weebie? Regardless, this song became "Aliciable" (where a song my gurl Alicia on Long Island would like, and I would put on her monthly CDs I make her) and I put it on her CD early. Now, tha review, LOL!! >>> NOTHIN' iz better than a repetitive hook SOOOOOOOO many times without a breath!! He says "bend it ova" 16x in tha hook (when it's 8 bars)!! Just a REAL GREAT vibe to it, as well as ... LOL @ tha "turkey neck?" OMG, just gives me a smile everytime I hear it!!! Nobody I know played this song, as it was ignored by sources worldwide, sadly. Maybe, it'll get exposure now? IDK... I didn't mind Lil' Wayne's Auto-Tune vocals here, although they're gay overall. Gotta luv 5th Ward Weebie's voice and flow on tha track; unstoppable!! This like an automatic **PERFECT RATED** song for me 'cause I've known it/played it for a while now. Gotta luv his verse after Wayne's! Glad I got a high quality version now 'cause I had a somewhat good quality version from Imeem. My Current Rating: 5.0

09. Flipset Fred "Waistline"
Newbie, but only able ta shine fa 2:13... IDK what to expect, so I'm gonna press play and see what happens! >>> Sounds like a Bounce beat, but why Wayne Wonder "No Letting Go" in tha background? Neva mind, this prolly sounds GREAT!! Wow, STR8 Bounce here!!! OMG, how unexpected!!! I guess that's why it's short; it's real fast!! Wow, NICE beat from :40 - :43! OMG, HOW FUCKIN' CRAZY!!!!! Goes PERFECT after that "Bend It Ova"!!! OMG @ 1:15 - 1:20!!!!!!!! This ain't tha gay dance type shit that comes out like tha "Stanky Legg"; this I can deal wit 'cause of how it sounds!! Even ended wit tha "No Letting Go"; lol @ tha higher pitched vocals! My Rating: 4.9

10. Hot Boy Ronald Feat. Sess 4-5, Nutt Da Kidd, Shawt, TL & Dank "9th Ward"
Holy shit, look @ all these peeps!! Already 1/2 of them I heard on this CD, so I wonder what it sounds like combined!!! >>> Sounds like anotha Bounce beat!!! Anticipating intro!! A lotta old sounding in tha songs here, which I'm diggin'! Nice "dat 5... 04!!" part! Feelin' tha 1st 1/3 of tha 1st verse here; dude doin' tha damn thang, fa real! Tha dude on tha 2nd 1/3 of tha 1st verse doin' a nice job on this too; glad these verses aren't just 4 bars!! Tha 3rd 1/3 of tha 1st verse iz pretty good too; nice chantin' goin' on before tha hook came again! Tha 1st 1/4 of tha 2nd verse iz pretty good; LOL @ "make it rain like an Indian ritual!" Nice job right there! Let's see tha 2nd 1/4 of tha 2nd verse... Held it down too; nice. Tha 3rd 1/4 of tha 2nd verse here sounds like a different flow here, and iz doin' a nice job. All these rappers know what they doin' wit this shit! Ooh, a 4th 1/4 on tha 2nd verse here; REALLY feelin' his style on his voice 'cause he sounds PERFECT on Bounce shit!! Tha voice reminds me of tha type of older New Orleans shit wit tha Bounce vibe!! My Rating: 4.4

½time: Looks like an INCREDIBLE start to this GREAT compilation CD!!! Wow, I didn't expect it to be THIS GREAT!!! I thought it was gonna be decent, yet a lil' boring wit boring beats, but no, it surprised me!! New Orleans on a comeback for me a lil'!! Well, I HOPE tha remainin' 11 songs are JUST AS GOOD!!! Average CD rating iz currently 4.4!!

11. 6 Ward Pook "Keep 'Em Coming"
Ooh, anotha Ward person wit Ward in their name!! As GREAT as this CD iz goin', I'm DEFINITELY lookin' forward ta this!! >>> NOTHIN' CAN STOP THAT BEGINNING wit tha "coke" and "dope"!!! Wow, DEFINITELY feelin' this shit right here!!! Anotha dude that's gonna have a GREAT future wit me and tha underground Louisiana bu$ine$$!!! Feelin' tha fuckin' voice right here on this shit!! Sounds a lil' like Chopper (Young City) from Da Band. REALLY into these "dope/coke" lyrics; CRAZY SHIT!!! Tha siren'd/GREAT beat works here fa me!!! LUVED that fuckin' "shiiiiiiiid" part at 1:35; I'ma DEFINITELY holla at this dude and find him on MySpace 'cause I KNOW he would wanna work wit me on sum shit!!! SUCH A FUCKIN' GREAT 1st verse!!! You KNOW a new artist ta me iz DEFINITELY great when I neva heard of them, and I said in tha preview, "I'm DEFINITELY lookin' forward ta this!!" This dude doin' tha damn thang, keepin' tha 2nd verse HOT!!! FUCKIN' LUVED tha "shiiiiiiiiid" part at 2:55, right when tha 2nd verse ended!! GREAT ending, as he just kept GOIN' and GOIN' and GOIN' and GOIN'!!!!! Such a GREAT START to tha 2nd 1/2 of this CD!!! My Rating: 4.9

12. Kayotic "I Ain't Gonna Say A Damn Thang"
That's a different title, but I'm DEFINITELY lookin' forward to it!! I KNOW this ain't gonna disappoint either!!! >>> I dunno about tha start so far... I didn't expect a singer (not listed)... Not really goin' hard fa me; more soft. Nice lil' rhymes and 1st verse, but I don't like that beat; WTF @ tha snappin' too? Not bad on tha 2nd verse, but for a song 4:30+, it sounds too long... LOL @ "I go hard like my dick, boi." Just a decent 3rd verse. My Rating: 2.8

13. Young Sino Feat. Ms. Tee "Hard Life"
Don't really like tha title (as I stereotype it bein' boring). Please, don't make it boring! Do tha damn thang on it! >>> ??? @ tha mixtape intro?? Oh no, a female sample in tha background again. Yea, this ain't really a song I'd be into. Just a decent beat (not that dark or anything), but Sino doin' a nice job rappin' tha rhymes. Not bad on tha 2nd verse, but not exactly my interest. LOL/Huh @ tha "yep, yep, yep" part around 2:18? Okay 3rd verse, but no interest in me really likin' that much. I'll give it a lyrical rating too to give credit to how tha song sounds on tha lyrical tip. My God, those "yep, yep, yep"'s came in again at about 3:17 and 3:42! Lyrical Rating: 4.3 | My Rating: 2.6

14. Baby Boy Da Prince Feat. Cassidy "Damela"
LOL, this song too? Bringin' a lil' bit of Baton Rouge here... Music Choice has this song. Tha title reminds me of tha Britney Spears "If U Seek Amy" one where her's iz "If U Seek Amy" or "F-U-C-K Me", and this iz "Damela", but when hearin' tha hook, it sounds like Baby Boy's praisin' himself by nearly sayin', "damn, I look good." Anyway, lemme see what goes down when reviewin' it... >>> LOL @ tha beat intro; feelin' it!! GREAT beat, and that catchy hook. Sounds like good/nearly random lyrics goin' on in tha 1st verse, but good overall. I neva got ta hear Cassidy's part everytime it came on Music Choice... He sounds good; I don't mind my Philly dudes. Good part on him, keepin' tha track good. His flow was like 100% different from Baby Boy's, lol. It's almost weird hearin' Baby Boy say "nigga" (I guess 'cause everyone knows him from that "The Way I Live" song). Soundin' good on tha 3rd verse too. I haven't really considered this song yet, so maybe, I'll get it and put in rotation; not sure. It still sounds great though; nice song! My Current Rating: 4.2

15. Jay Da Menace "Hood Thang"
Wow, even anotha song goin' over 4:30 on tha length!! Hope this a REAL great song for a new artist!! >>> Ooh, nice Bounce-influenced beat start! Matta fact, nice Bounce start!! Not sure of tha hook, but I like that beat a lot!! Just a decent 1st verse; nothin' special... A different person on tha 2nd verse, and whatever, they added tha Auto-Tune on their voice (I think). Either way, they're just decent, whether they have that effect or not. Well, tha rest of tha song was just tha same as what I thought before. Nice Bounce vibe at 4:04 for tha ending. My Rating: 3.3

16. Monster With Da Fade "I'm In Luv"
As my grandma would say, "Where do they get these names from?" This a cool name, but IDK about tha title... I rather this mixtape go HARD than "in luv"... >>> LOL @ tha "c'mon"'s repeatin' at like :10!! Ooh, more Bounce music; YEA!!!!!! This iz MUCH BETTA than tha last song I heard, and MORE on tha "in luv" topic!!! Tha last song was called "Hood Thang", and didn't have a "hood" style to it. This iz called "I'm In Luv", and it has more of not just a boring vibe to it; LOL @ tha reverses!! LOL @ "hit her wit that monkey [wrench?]...!" WHAT A GREAT #16 SONG!!! Just like tha #9 song on here, I'm DEFINITELY feelin' tha somewhat skippin' in tha song!! Glad this iz a minute longer than tha #9 song so I can enjoy more, although that one was a better song. My Rating: 4.5

17. Lyrickal Assassion "Remember Me"
4:30+ on tha length here... I expect a LOTTA "lyrickal" lyrics with a DARK, but not boring, beat!!! >>> Tha first 27 seconds had me somewhat anticipated, but IDK about tha hook... It ain't that bad, but it ain't really what I wanted; at least it ain't boring. Sounds like an interesting start to tha 1st verse here... I like tha 90's vibe in tha sound here. Even sayin' tha title right before tha verse ended had a 90's style in it. Not bad on tha 2nd verse here; sounds a lil' different on tha flow. Kinda long ending, but it still good. Not bad for a song like this; it's enjoyable. My Rating: 3.6

18. Sess 4-5 Feat. Shawt, Dizzy a.k.a. Raw D.I., Nutt Da Kidd, Six Shot, Skip, 5th Ward Weebie, Choppa, Young Sino, Sniper, 6 Ward Pook, The Show, ???, ???, Hot Boy Ronald & ??? "Black Love Movement"
Wow, WHAT A HUGE LINEUP!!!!! Anybody can fill in tha remainin' 3 people, it's appreciated! Looks like this gon be a freestyle so lemme see who does what, and how GREAT it iz!!! >>> Nice beat intro; good beat so far. A true hook that there NEEDS ta be "black love;" GREAT "movement" here!! Tha 1st dude did his thang; I agree wit tha "less gunplay" part; good job, Sess 4-5. Shawt (2nd 1/4 of tha 1st verse) did his thang too; nice job. Dizzy givin' a nice message on tha 3rd part; thumbs up. Good job on tha 4th part too from (I'm guessin') Nutt. Ooh, tha "2, 3 birds in one night" part iz good, but it sounds like we need ta make things better, so I guess, thumbs up to Six Shot on tha 1st 1/4 of tha 2nd verse. Skip doin' a pretty good part on tha 2nd 1/4. 5th Ward Weebie did his thang on this on tha 3rd 1/4. I didn't know that was Choppa on tha last 1/4 of tha 2nd verse. He givin' a nice feel to his verse wit his dark voice and that good shit. Young Sino on tha 1st 1/4 of tha 3rd verse here... Pretty good part. Tha 2nd 1/4 of tha 3rd verse was from Sniper, who did a nice job. My dawg 6 Ward Pook on tha 3rd 1/4 of tha 3rd verse, doin' a REAL nice job wit tha emotion in his voice; tight shit! Show on tha 4th 1/4 of tha 3rd verse, doin' a pretty good job; always gettin' somethin' across!! Now, tha final verse: A lotta "black" on tha 1st 1/4 of tha 4th verse here from 1 of 3 of tha unknown artists. Tha 2nd 1/4 of tha 4th verse was anotha one of tha 3 unknown artists, and he had a REAL nice job wit his shit, especially that emotion in his voice. Hot Boy Ronald on tha 3rd 1/4 of tha 4th verse, doin' a nice job too, talkin' 'bout tha "high murder rate." Tha last dude on this (on tha 4th 1/4 of tha 4th verse) I was debating if it was Jay Da Menace (from tha #15 song), but who knows if that's right. I have a feelin' it iz, but I'm not gonna put it in tha ID just yet. Well, everyone held it down, and did tha damn thang here; great 16 people collab!!! My Rating: 4.0

19. Shawt Feat. The Show "Paper Planes (Remix)"
LOL @ this... And Shawt iz back. Because of M.I.A., I'm SURE it gon be a turn on!! >>> I like tha "money so old, it got blisters on it" line; nice. Not much interest in what's goin' on here, so I'll just leave it at bein' okay. Tha hook iz okay, although it prolly would've sounded better wit M.I.A. on tha hook. I like tha "so much weight" part on tha 2nd verse. Ooh, The Show made an unexpected appearance!! Now, that brought a sunshine to tha track! He DEFINITELY held it down wit such a GREAT/in his own world type attitude on tha track! My Rating: 3.4

20. Jimmy Mossberg Interlude
Eight seconds... >>> Good sign in. My Rating: N/A

21. Jimmy Mossberg "Do My Lil' Dance"
Oh no!!! Let's not fuck up tha ending!!! >>> Wodie On The Beat, so maybe not too bad... Sounds like a borderline Baton Rouge type song... I like tha "pop anotha pill" part in tha hook, but I don't think this'll be that great fa me. How come I keep hearin' tha hook? It was like a short verse (I think), and just tha hook too much... Actually, tha 2nd verse sounded pretty tight wit tha "pants saggin'" type shit. Maybe this ain't that bad, but ain't somethin' I'm impressed by either. Oh, there's a 3rd verse here too... Nothin' really ta say about that one. I really liked tha "pants saggin'" one though. I like that cold ending though! My Rating: 3.1

Overall: Tha 1st 1/2 MURDERED tha 2nd 1/2 on this CD as there was MUCH unexpected GREAT songs in tha 1st 1/2! Either way, I was DEFINITELY feelin' this CD, as a ton of people came through and did they thang!! Sess 4-5, wat up? My dawg 6 Ward Pook, watz good? You know I gon help you wit this Rap shit if you down fa it, ya heard me! Err-body on here, keep doin' yo thang! I'm tha dude when it comes to supportin' this Louisiana Rap shit!!
