Review #1,793: Shizz Dollah "P.O.L.O., Vol. 1 (Players Only Live Once)"

Reviewed on 1.21.2019 (Review #1,793)

Gettin’ mo reviewz out tha way, right nah… Here goes this one: Shizz Dollah P.O.L.O., Vol. 1 (Players Only Live Once), courtesy of Money Cirkle, Inc.! Start Time: 5:11 PM | End Time: 5:36 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2019 CD Review (Review #1,793) reviewed on 1.21.2019 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Intro”
>>> Sounds like you’re slowly dippin’ into a betta vibe than tha A.D.I.D.A.S. vibe, from 2012… Likin’ all tha “off” shit, on tha hook; glad you got some addictive hooks! Hearin’ you rap and it’s pretty nice; glad you got all these “raps!” My Rating: 4.2

02. “Bossed Up”
>>> A slower vibe, here, but keepin’ it G… Hearin’ you rap and it sounds like you continuin’ tha nice rhymes, once again; good shit. I like how you said, “Polo socks; my 4-4 cocked;” dope shit! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s good; nothin’ special-special but nothin’ terrible… My Rating: 3.7

03. “Feel Good”
>>> Got D. Jackson on this beat, here; let’s see how y’all combine together… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s good, wit this Jacksontized beat; not bad… Hearin’ what you got wit tha rhymes and yeah, “Same clothes fa two dayz;” it’s true! I would say, sometimes, close to a week if you don’t have a job and are on a non-stop grind… Sounds like you picked up tha pace wit tha flow… I’ono, not err-body gotta rap fast…! My Rating: 3.5

04. “Rider”
>>> Anotha D. Jackson beat; glad y’all have chemistry…! Glad you have “a closet fulla music,” too; definitely a plus! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s a lil’ catchier than tha previous hook. Hearin’ you rap and it ain’t too bad, here. Just a regular-soundin’ track ta me, with nothin’ special or nothin’ bad… My Rating: 3.6

05. “Beef Shit” feat. Rambeezy
>>> R.I.P. y’all… Young Hits doin’ this beat; bet it gon be a top-rated one…! Hook ain’t too bad; I expected a lil’ mo energy wit this Hits beat & y’all… What’s tha deal wit tha “‘09” shit? Nothin’ great about those ‘Nu$$ie Dead’ times… Hearin’ you rap and it sounds catchy; you know what you doin’…! Glad you luv tha “Polo;” that’s why you had it “2 The Flo,” back in “’09,” like you said! I like how Rambeezy got a good representation wit tha collab, here; props to his gangsta shit! Kinda likin’ how he referenced “Bubba Sparxxx” and his “Ugly” track, from ’01; random but nice… My Rating: 4.2

06. “Noticed You” feat. Young Trayne
>>> Sounds like a good, catchy, slower vibe, on tha hook; props ta D, again, on anotha beat! Hearin’ you rap your verse on this and, as always, it sounds like you continuously able ta hold it down…! Wit Trayne on tha 2nd verse, he sounds great ta hear, of course; great job wit y’all “Oak”-asses, ya dig? My Rating: 3.8

07. “Girlfriend”
>>> Goin’ wit tha online beats or whatevz…? Hearin’ you rap and it sounds like you tryna get along wit this online track… I’ono, I wouldn’t be cool wit it, lol… Kinda likin’ tha hook and how you have this “get down” shit on lock, as far as catchiness… Even tho these kinda tracks don’t sound tha best ta me, I’ll admit: there’s a decent amount of catchiness, here… My Rating: 3.4

½time: Not too bad, so far; I thank you got this, as far as this P.O.L.O. shit goes… A 3.8-rated CD, currently; let’s see what’s next…

08. “Freestyle”
>>> Decent rhymes, wit a random beat ta “freestyle” off of… Once it’s time to “freestyle,” you already know how to adjust yourself…! My Rating: 3.9

09. “Get At U”
>>> Sounds like a decent, catchy lil’ hook/beat… Well, of course, it sounds betta when you start repeatin’, “I’m gon get at u (I’m gon get at u)…;” nice! Like what you’re bringin’ to tha verses, here, strictly comin’ from tha “goon school,” of course! Kinda long fa a track but it ain’t too bad, overall… My Rating: 3.9

10. “No Good”
>>> Anotha okay/not-tha-craziest-about-type of song… Tha hook a lil’ catchy and tha beat kinda laidback, here; nothin’ too-too special but let’s see what else we got goin’ on… Hearin’ you rap and I’m likin’ your rhymes, with tha “Room Raiders” and all that; “good” rhymes fa a relationship song… Anotha one a lil’ long—actually, just about tha same length as tha previous track… My Rating: 3.7

11. “Product Of My Environment”
>>> Just a random beat wit a random voice bein’ sampled; nothin’ special fa me… Anotha 4:00+ track; okay rhymes and a decent hook… Nothin’ too catchy, here; nothin’ much fa me ta say… My Rating: 3.1

12. “Stevie Wonder” feat. Doe
>>> Anotha song referrin’ ta “Stevie Wonder”; this boring and mainstream-soundin’, tho… Not really inta tha flow/rappin’ on this one, as well; get away from tha mainstream!! Same thang wit Doe; this ain’t fa y’all! What else should I say…? My Rating: 1.3

13. “High Freestyle” feat. Lil’ Mop
>>> Here we go wit mo online beats… Don’t thank I’ll catch on to tha rhymes/flow, since it sounds like bullshit mainstream music, like tha last track… Great wit tha “stupid high” part, but on this beat? Naw, Mop… Even tha rappin’ can have potential to be good, but y’all shoulda had an original Baton Rouge beat on this one! You sound like you’re tryna have fun wit your rappin’ but fa’real, y’all shoulda picked a different beat ta rap on… My Rating: 2.5

14. “Spend The Night”
>>> Anotha random beat wit anotha relationship-style track… Let’s see how much feedback I’ll leave… Semi-fast rappin’; attemptin’ to be catchy but it ain’t workin’, here… Kinda bored wit tha “pocket fulla money” shit…; next…! My Rating: 1.7

15. “Bet That Up” feat. Rambeezy
>>> Sounds like there’s betta effort in this intro, here, wit tha energy! “Bet that up!” Enjoyin’ tha hook and what y’all got goin’ on, here… Good shit from Beezy, comin’ through fa you, here; gangsta at its finest…! A decent lil’ contribution from you, here; likin’ Beezy betta but it’s still betta than tha previous tracks…! My Rating: 3.8

Overall: A lil’ boring/watered-down toward tha 2nd ½ but it looked like it started off to be above-average… Got two mo CDs ta review of yours & I should be able to get to ‘em sooner or later…

Rankings:

Review #1,790: $hizz "The Chosen One, Vol. 1"

Reviewed on 1.20.2019 (Review #1,790)

It’s 2019 & it’s my dawg, Doe-Doe’s birthday! Started tha year off as a top-notch celeb till tha week after, where I got myself involved in some shit. Now, as I’m tryna get back on tha right path, I have some free time to catch up. Since tha untimely passing of Shizz Dollah, back on October 26, 2018, I had some CDs of his that I didn’t get tha chance to review. Now, I have that time, so here we go: Here goes my review for $hizz The Chosen One, Vol. 1, released in 2011 on Foxx’s Milliyone Musik. Start Time: 3:54 PM | End Time: 4:25 PM

© 2019 CD Review (Review #1,790) reviewed on 1.20.2019 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Intro”
>>> A “birthday” release, via “September 28th.” This 2011 so when I say that it sounds “typical,” tha “typical” iz referrin’ ta that time. With that bein’ said, just regular-soundin’ rappin’, here… My Rating: 3.2

02. “Local Rappers” feat. Foxx & Dog Da Cutthroata
>>> A decent lil’ upbeat beat, here. Tha hook ain’t too bad but I’m feelin’ how you repeat, “Let’s do it, let’s do it; let’s do it, let’s do it…” Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds like you got some random rappin’ goin’ on, at times, despite keepin’ it upbeat… Luv how Foxx iz always upbeat, via tha 2nd verse; good aggression, as always…! As far as Dog bein’ featured on this, I know y’all made a Milliyone connection, back then. To me, it’s semi-random, semi-undaground; that’s what I consider him rappin’, here… My Rating: 4.2

03. “Bob My Head”
>>> Sounds like a way for you to avoidin’ tha dancin’, here; good hook, tho. Crazy wit you and tha “Watson after Watson,” on tha 1st verse (shout out ta Doe-Doe & his last name; pilLLLlllLllllLlzzZZZzzZzzzZZ)! Beat nothin’ special, with not much Louisiana sound to it but I think you did a good job wit this one… Strictly goin’ ham on tha 2nd verse, here, as far as how far you’re willin’ ta take it! It sux that you took it too far, tha day you passed. It happened to my brother, it happened to you; it sux…! My Rating: 3.7

04. “Hit It In The Morning”
>>> A slower track… Not that crazy about this but at least you’re depictin’ a sex scene, here. I like tha line, “One night stands played out; Nintendo.” As far as tha hook you chose, I guess it goes wit it… All about dem hitzMy Rating: 3.0

05. “That Nigga”
>>> Okay beat; kinda a mainstream version of a Louisiana track, I feel like it iz… Sounds like you’re everything, here… Good, upbeat-soundin’ flow you got goin’ on, here. “I don’t mean to sound conceited but I feel I’m undefeated;” good line! You proved that tha night before you died, via your battle & previous battles! My Rating: 3.4

06. “Do Me”
>>> Not feelin’ tha “la-la-la-la” vocals in tha background of tha hook, here; not a good combo wit your NY-soundin’ vibe, here. Hearin’ tha verse and yeah, not really my style & your Louisiana rhymes mix weird wit tha NY sound… My Rating: 2.4

07. “Relax & Take Notes”
>>> Just like Ball & MJ did, back in ’07, here you are wit tha Biggie sample. Beat was betta back then; this on a NY tip, once again… Rhymes ain’t that bad but it’s whateva; nothin’ crazy about… My Rating: 2.8

½time: Not too crazy about this CD but it iz what it iz, I guess. I know I wasn’t too crazy about your Milliyone music route, back then; a 3.2-rated CD, so far…

08. “Son” feat. 1Hitta & Kane
>>> A lil’ betta than tha previous tracks, here; decent lil’ hook from you. Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds good; better attempt, here… Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on, here (from tha Hitta?) and a betta-soundin’ voice fa dis gangsta shit, here; definitely nice…! Got tha Kane dude on tha 3rd verse, I believe, and I’m definitely feelin’ this Oak vibe, to tha fullest! “Pants saggin’,” strictly deliverin’ some good G-shit, here! My Rating: 3.8

09. “Warning Shots”
>>> Mo Biggie, here, but this time, tha beat… Hearin’ you rappin’ and it’s pretty nice; good fit, too, from tha “Girbauds” to tha “Polo collar.” Great job wit tha consistent lyrics, strictly holdin’ it down, ova this beat… My Rating: 3.5

10. “Barzzz” feat. Foxx & Dog Da Cutthroata
>>> This definitely nice! Gotta luv tha “(Xana)barz” shit repeatin’ throughout tha hook! Definitely a pure collab!! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice; lol @ you stuffin’ “meat in!” Got Mr. Dog on tha 2nd verse and his “xanz” vibe’s betta than his random vibe, from tha last collab… Lots of wakin’ up, via dem pillz; good shit! Got Foxx on tha 3rd verse; lol @ spellin’, “F-U-C-K-I-N-G;” “G?” How about apostrophe?! Lol… Likin’ this “barz” competition wit Foxx, too, toward tha final “barzzz” of tha track, ya dig? My Rating: 4.4

11. “By Myself”
>>> Kinda ehh fa me, wit tha way you sound, here… It’s true: “I’m by myself in this lonely world…” Decent rhymes but tha beat makes this seem a lil’ boring/nothin’ special, in my opinion… My Rating: 2.6

12. “The Landing” (Doe feat. $hizz)
>>> Beat’s more like an East Coast vibe, here; *yawns*… Doe on tha 1st verse and tha rhymes good but I’m just not into this beat, that much (*yawns*…, literally)… Here you come on tha 2nd verse, $hizz & you stepped up wit tha rhymes, here. Sounds like an early version of your battle talent; good shit…! My Rating: 3.6

13. “Ripped Up” (Doe, Young Trayne & $hizz)
>>> Sounds like a much-betta beat start, here; definitely feelin’ tha energy…! All about a “ripped-up” hook, here; good shit… Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit a show-off show but it sounds like your average good track… Trayne on tha 2nd verse, here, givin’ y’all newbies a recap of his “classics;” good shit! “Now they on my dick, like a pair of boxer briefs;” go, Trayne, lol! Strictly lettin’ y’all know how it really be! Good shit, straight from da 2-2-5! Got Doe endin’ tha track wit tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice… My Rating: 4.1

14. “Bitch Niggas Oh Yeah” feat. 1Hitta & Lil’ Hurk
>>> Anotha good opportunity wit this beat start, here, soundin’ pretty nice… Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit tha “Glen Oaks” representation, here; fa’real! Tha hook sounds like a good lil’ chant, kinda like Ziggly Wiggly from tha N.O., only this tha Oak! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and I’m feelin’ tha energy bein’ brought to tha table, here; definitely nice! Tha 3rd verse keeps it goin’ wit tha energy, here; definitely tha vibe I desire! Gotta be wild, wildin’ out, ya dig? Good shit! My Rating: 4.3

15. “Outro”
>>> Goin’ back to bringin’ tha NY beats, here; you know I don’t “feel” tha East Coast-soundin’ beats wit tha samples in tha background! Hearin’ you rap, here, and it sounds like you’re just rappin’ somethin’ off da top of yo head… Got some good rhymes comin’ out yo mouth, here and there (e.g., tha “soccer ball” rhyme). Some of your rhymes, like on tha hook, sounds like Lil’ Wayne in his evolving stage… My Rating: 2.7

Overall: Most of it was ehh/somewhat-decent, while some tracks were pretty nice… Not tha best blend of tracks fa me but I’m glad you got betta with time, from these tracks…

Bates and his bro, Doe (or, Jon Doe, D.O.E., or Doe_XO), started releasing music under tha label, True Greed Entertainment. They released their collection of 2009 tracks on their 2010 release, Effect Vol. 2: Welcome To O.A.K.L.A.N.D.. In 2011, Bates signed with Baton Rouge rapper, Foxx's Milliyone Musik & released his first solo mixtape, The Chosen One, Vol. 1, in 2011. In 2012, Foxx presented Bates' A.D.I.D.A.S. release. In 2013, Bates released P.O.L.O. Vol. 1 (Players Only Live Once), as well as N.I.K.E. Vol. 1 (Nigga I Kill Everything). In 2015, Bates put out his This What I Would've Did 2 Yo Shit mixtape. In 2017, Bates collaborated with Baton Rouge producer/rapper, DJ B-Real & released Look What You Made Me Do, Vol. 1, on B-Real's Pay The Producer Production & Bates' Blocc Society Entertainment. In 2018, his final release, Look What You Made Me Do, Vol. 2, was released on B-Real's Pay The Producer Production. Just one day before his untimely death, on October 25, 2018, Bates was featured on Baton Rouge photog-editor, Johnnie Domino's Baton Rouge Battle Rap league, BR2, in which he battled AMG Case. Bates won tha battle, 3-0. Bates celebrated his 27th birthday, earlier on September 28.

Review #1,342: Big Blaze "2nd Shot Promo"

Reviewed on 12.05.2013 (Review #1,342)

A Bloc Munstarz (I think I got tha right label) release, here… Big Blaze 2nd Shot Promo iz what I finna review, right now! I’m sure this’ll be great, in its own lane!! It came out last year; I’m not sure why I missed it? Start Time: 8:59 PM | End Time: 9:52 PM

Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

© 2013 CD Review (Review #1,342) reviewed on 12.05.2013 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. Intro (DJ Rob Xclusive)
>>> I feel real anticipated wit this Blaze beat in tha background! Blaze, you’re real talented!! Always stay in tha undaground!! My Rating: N/A

02. “Call Tha Ambulance” Feat. Cash Flow & Trilla Trill
!-to-tha-!-to-tha-!! >>> I thought this would be more hyper, but it’s you in your lane, all tha way!! Just luv how you come through wit your voice and tha undaground-soundin’ beat!!! Nice job wit you on tha 1st verse, Blaze, strictly havin’ fun wit a title like this!! Here comes tha 2nd verse (Cash Flow), comin’ through wit a lil’ more hyperness in tha voice! Tryna re-inact “September 11” wit how he comin’ through; gotta feel how he anticipates a fight! Got Trilla Trill on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit nice shit. Of course, I’m crazy about Gunplay right now, so I can appreciate tha gunplay-like lyrics he spittin’! Consistency wit tha delivered rhymes, all tha way to tha cold ending!! My Rating: 4.7

03. “Say That Then”
Ooh…? >>> Wow, gritty voice from you, here!! Reminds me of tha early 2000s southern music I grew up on, wit how this sounds, overall!! Hook sounds nice, too! Keepin’ this shit goin’ wit tha 2nd verse; luv tha “need ta see ID” part and its consistent flow!! Yea, keep saggin’ ya “pants so low;” neva abide to stereotypes, feelin’ aged & laws! I’m only a ½ decade younger than you, and I grow at a slow pace! Wow, 3rd verse comin’ through wit dat hoarse voice!!! Ribbit, ribbit, rofl? Keep it goin’!!! My Rating: 4.6

04. “Now That I’m On” Feat. Trilla Trill & Cash Flow
>>> Really feelin’ tha beat start!! Catchy song; feelin’ tha hook! A “helicopter” start wit tha 1st verse, wit Trill comin’ through wit dat coptin’ sound! He on tha “interstate” and err-thang! Cash Flow countin’ “paypa” on tha 2nd verse, here; nice flow on tha beat! Let’s see what you got goin’ on wit tha 3rd verse, Blaze… Okay, in tha fuckin’ mode, here; that’s big for a big dude like you, right? #bigmoments My Rating: 4.0

05. “We ‘Bout 2 Ack” Feat. Trayne & Teflon Da Terrabull
Wow @ tha name changes? No more “Young” for Trayne & Teflon, who was a Pit, turns into a Terrabull!! >>> Feelin’ tha dark, undaground feelin’ of tha streetz, here! “Raggedy ratchet!” Feelin’ how you anticipatin’ how you wanna do someone in throughout tha 1st verse, Blaze! Yea, time ta “ack a ass” on tha hook; feelin’ it! Trayne on tha 2nd verse? Sounds nice; consistent shit! Sounds like he makes tha 225 enlight, like it neva gets old!! I hope that’s tha case ‘cause I’m six years into my Louisiana connection, still havin’ trouble findin’ tha person to go with me to visit Louisiana, for tha 1st time! Yea, Teflon on tha 3rd verse (wow, Trayne’s voice iz less-deep); great shit, here! My Rating: 4.4

06. “Really Ill”
>>> Sounds nice, so far; nothin’ much to say, but good 1st verse, so far! Ooh @ 1:03, where you start rappin’ fast! I like how that came outta nowhere! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too! And, tha 3rd verse, too! I think with tha hook, it comes outta nowhere, so everything blends in together! Feelin’ that “I’m stoppin’ flow like traffic lights” shit near tha end, too! You even said it twice! My Rating: 4.1

07. “TKO” Feat. Yella & Lil’ Buddy
Yella = Lil’ Yella? Did we lose a “Lil’”, this time? >>> Hearin’ tha old beat tag from Big Wayne, this must be an old beat (of course, tha pattern—normal times (before tha threatening)! I gotta get tha years from you so I can log everything, since I’m backin’ up my files that I got from this year! And, that Yella = Yella Yella (tha one wit JokaBoi), I assume. Anyway, nice job wit tha hook and 1st verse; it’s all about tha crazy vibe!! Tha 2nd verse nice, too! A Lil’ Buddy verse on tha 3rd verse… Of course, tha old dayz wit those great voices, deep within tha 225! Tha crazy shit continues wit tha 4th verse, too, combining both Yella & Lil’ Buddy on tha verse! Whoo!! Got you also, Big Blaze!! My Rating: 4.6

08. “Money Talks” Feat. Jay Da Talent
>>> Sounds like a black Paul Wall at first, here… This ain’t bad; tha beat’s nice and undaground ta hold y’all down! Tha 2nd verse nice, too; good shit! My Rating: 4.2

½time: Wow, ½way through, already? Nice and consistent lil’ CD, so far! Of course, you got shit goin’ on wit your great, undaground productions and features!! Keep this shit up: 4.4 for tha CD rating, currently!

09. “Y’all Pussy” Feat. Hatch Boy & Big Bandit
Looks like a great collab! >>> “Goodies” beat? Oh, at least it rewinded! Oh wait, it’s not a joke; damn. Ehh, I dunno; at least tha vibe’s here… I know this 2004 or somethin’. Tha 1st verse’s nice and tha hook’s good, too, but more of a borderline guilty pleasure, for me, due to tha beat. Hearin’ Hatch on tha 2nd verse, and he sounds good/consistent, as always! A bad Bandit on tha 3rd verse, here, “not givin’ a fuck” if “your momma cryin’!” Nice verses, but c’mon, no mixtape beats! #blushes My Rating: 3.8

10. “Haterblockers” Feat. N.I.P., Bengie B, Gangsta, Lady Lex, Co. G & Suge
Wow, got tha “Out My Socks” dudes as a part of tha feature! Glad to see them back—or, this might be a lil’ older than I think it iz? Either way, I’m anticipated!! >>> Yea, this gotta be older wit tha sound, as well as #7 & #9 givin’ tha #TBT vibe away! But, once again, N.I.P. delivers anotha classic-soundin’ hook! It’s just how he comes through on tha hook and beat, together! Also, he sounds great on tha 1st verse, here; glad he always feelin’ fucked-up, just havin’ tha best of tha best times! Got you on tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse, here, comin’ through wit a good vibe! Yea, “pop ‘em two by two!” Gotta luv how that’s how you “pop” tha pillz, as well as tha “haterz!” Bengie on tha 2nd verse? I’m goin’ by tha order of tha features, here… Ehh, it’s an okay verse. This Gangsta on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse? Definitely feelin’ tha verse!! Those old vibes before everyone wanted to make tha ‘same,’ mainstream-soundin’, shyin’-away-from-Baton-Rouge’s-classic-soundin’-vibe!! Oh wait, that sounds like Gangsta on tha 3rd part of tha 2nd verse; great shit!! Wait, who this on tha 4th part? LOL, I’m so confused, but I’m lovin’ all tha features all over tha place!! Reminds me of tha old dayz of 2008 wit tha reviewz, where I had no clue who was who!! And, who’s this on tha 5th part, lol? Everything’s nice!! My Rating: 4.4

11. “Heaters” Feat. Trally Boy
Nice collab, again! >>> Nice beginning!! I like how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse, strictly havin’ haterz on your “nutsack!” That’s what’s up! This beat sounds like I’ve heard it before, but I don’t think it’s jacked…; or iz it? Seems so long ago to remember… Nice collaboration wit Trally, just spittin’ rhymes like a Max Minelli! Oh wait, it iz a slower-pitched version of “9mm;” I figured! I couldn’t even tell, at first! Speakin’ of that title, this January 23’ll mark six years since I had one to me! Think: I could’ve died, and only had three months of a Louisiana connection, knowin’ very few—and, like, none from Baton Rouge! My Rating: 4.3

12. “Put Yo Hood Up” Feat. Teflon Da Terrabull & C-IV
½ great feature, but ½ not thankin’ me for my awards! >>> This a familiar beat, too (T-Bo used it or somethin’); it’s all good, here, so let’s see how tha rhymes go… Nice shit from Teflon on tha 1st verse; can feel how much he anticipates B.A.N.s to come to him!! Nice hook wit puttin’ ya “number up;” kinda was like tha pre-“Put Your Numbers Up” (BluBlack & Pezie) joint? That’s what it reminds me of… Nice shit wit tha 2nd verse, too! Wow, since this iz you on tha 3rd verse, if that was C-IV on tha 2nd verse and/or hook, wow, it sounds good, and caught me off-guard! I almost was gonna say nothin’, but I couldn’t tell! This must’ve been back when he’d thank people for things! Anyway, here’s you on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit faster-soundin’ rhymes; definitely on-n-poppin’!! And, 32 seconds of silence at tha end…; not on-n-poppin’! My Rating: 4.3

13. “Tats & Golds”
Nice title! This year, you entered a new decade, too! >>> October 6, 2007 was, like, tha only day I saw “golds;” I hope to see more in tha future! I like how you hinted Brisco, as you were like, “I see you was lookin’ fa me.” Nice shit you got goin’ on wit tha 1st verse; sounds like regular rappin’, but tha production holds it down! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; do you eva run outta breath, lol? Nice shit!! My Rating: 4.5

14. “Go Hard” Feat. Da Hustlaz
Lookin’ forward to tha feature! >>> A rock-soundin’ beat start, here; iz this tha “Party Like A Rockstar” dayz, lol? Ooh @ tha hook, as you “go harrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd, all night long!!” Great delivery!! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit anotha anticipated fight! “Party from dusk! We party from dusk; all tha way ‘til dawn! All tha way ‘til dawn!” Gotta luv it! Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through like a drug virgin (“don’t smoke, don’t pop”)? That was me durin’ tha early dayz of my Louisiana connection, though I neva popped… Keepin’ tha Blaze vibe goin’ wit Da Hustlaz on tha 3rd verse! My Rating: 4.5

15. “Got It Made” Feat. $hizz
Bad anticipation for tha feature/song. You know I can’t comment on tha feature; I might still not get a job if people read feedback on someone who can’t take constructive criticism, smh! It just happened with one of my classmates’ shitty review, tha otha day! >>> A Young Hits production, here, but why tha fade-in intro? Low anticipation fa this… Yuck @ tha beginning; I made sure I paid attention to tha beginning, this time, and skipped it! Though I’m not a fan of “money” songs, at least this sounds old (way before I got robbed a ½ a stack by a BR dude), and it sounds like you got a lotta different kinds of “money” on tha 2nd verse! Damn, not tha 3rd verse, too? This was, like, a 50-second review or somethin’, smh… My Rating: 3.7

16. “I Betcha”
LOL, seems like this always appears on CDs! My Current Rating: 4.8

Overall: Wow, great CD!! Almost five stars, except tha jacked “Goodies” and $h(ater)izz—who likes auto-tune—got in tha way… But, very great, consistent CD!! Keep ‘em up!! Always stay loyal to tha 225 sound, your features, and tha production!!

Review #1,219: Foxx "Don't Work, Don't Eat (Documentary)"

Reviewed on 11.04.2012 (Review #1,219)

Got a lot on my plate, but like I promised a long time ago, this year, I gon review Foxx Don’t Work, Don’t Eat (Documentary)! Milliyone Musik in tha buildin’ wit this one, and today marks a decade since I came up wit my “FrankieThaLuckyDog” name! Start Time: 7:42 AM | End Time: 8:46 AM

Quick Note: I rate each scene from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care what’s what! As long as it’s cool and good enough for me to like it! I look for style, and then tha storyline. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a scene gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already; if at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I see it) so any scene can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I see tha scene; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha scene while I’m watching it. If use of tha word “swag” iz frequent, there’s auto-tune, or lots of talkin’ about money, hoes, and stuntin’ 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! I also don’t go for stuntin’ wit tons of money, non-stop…

© 2012 Documentary Review (Review #1,219) reviewed on 11.04.2012 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

EDIT: I dunno if there’s different titles for different parts, so I’m basically reviewin’ this wit different time spots…

0:00: Startin’ it off… >>> Str8 Up Entertainment presentin’ this… I like tha HD look and wall in tha background. Shout out to @Mr_OneNine for this documentary… Southn Belle featured on this? Didn’t know who she was, at tha time (found out about her through Mon Mack)! Also, it’s her birthday today, so that’s a good look! Iz Dido really in this, or did someone steal her name?

2:34: Good advice about gettin’ “money;” hope you’re good wit doin’ services…

2:59: A “Robbery” song; nice vocal booth, includin’ seein’ your written rhymes. Whether I heard this or not, sounds like a nice lil’ rhyme over a great beat! Good job!

6:01: Why iz tha audio in tha talkin’ a lil’ computer-like, low qualityish? Soundin’ gutta wit what you’re sayin’ about wantin’ ta kill fa your boyz. For one, I don’t get how people have so much actual passion for people of tha same gender; I don’t get it…

8:45: Time for a “Better Not Fight” performance? Let’s see it… I like your shirt wit tha hand. Who’s tha really big fat guy? Must be pretty fun doin’ a performance. However, if I pictured doin’ a performance of a song about preventin’ fightin’, then I’d be everywhere on tha stage. Then again, you don’t have much room to move around. At 10:32, I kinda like your “fuck BET” part. Eva since Rap City, Free & AJ, and Cita left, what’s there?

12:04: Good shit about “tha hardest broke nigga in tha city.” I hate how some of tha people I dealt with in tha past hid from me like a pussy when I told them I charge, like, $25 for a commercial or some shit…

12:19: A “Stressed Out” performance, followed by advice about not “gettin’ [their] money;” good advice.

14:21: You finna sip lean outta dat baby bottle, lol?

14:45: A freestyle from $hizz… I like those eyeballs for this kinda attitude. Nice job, and better than his usual shit.

16:07: Glad tha “big-ass backyard won [you]” for your kids; I miss my backyard from tha New York dayz…

16:32: Got a dude wit a red shirt on, lookin’ high as fuck (a plus)! They’re with you, and you’re sayin’ some good shit about why you should “fuck wit [someone]” when they notice you’re blowin’ up. I know people don’t acknowledge me correctly, so I’m tryin’ to do my own things, without carin’ about anotha person…

17:29: An “I’m On” performance; I always enjoy your cocked head wobblin’ when you deliver tha lyrics live. It looks like you’re really enjoyin’ this shit to tha max!

19:18: Nice shit about people who have “1,000,000 views on YouTube,” but don’t “get a quarter off of this shit.” I feel like this wit a bunch of rappers vs. me. It’s like, I’ve been on TV a ton of times, done so many things, talked to a bunch of people, and I get less-acknowledged than these people, smh! I hate how no one knows how to exactly categorize me…

20:23: LOL @ tha gamblin’…

20:44: Yup, I was right about tha baby bottle! I had a feelin’ there was gonna be some sippin’, that it wasn’t just a prop!

22:01: I luv how y’all say, “ya heard me;” I know it’s all about bein’ loaded, loaded, loaded!!

22:33: Time ta put tha blunt in tha loaded dude’s mouth; it’s almost like a game show challenge that was successful! It stayed, and he didn’t wake up!

23:09: A “Let Me Thank It” performance wit Dog Da Cutthroata (not wit two “G”s)… Dog looks kinda lost when tha mic wasn’t by his mouth… I already reviewed these songs a while ago, so I’m not really gonna comment on tha songs, and just comment on tha video, itself. As for Dog performin’, once again, everyone needs space to get creative. I think by bein’ in between about 10 people, it’s hard to move around…

24:54: Now that I saw tha performance, now I know that that’s Dog in tha room wit y’all.

25:49: I agree about tha “if you have children” thing. I have ta say, once people have children, they’re gonna have less success as bein’ a consistent rapper…

26:29: Let’s see this “Loose Booty” booth delivery. LOL, speakin’ of Lil’ Austin and birthdayz, it’s Austin’s partner-n-crime, Garin’s birthday today. LOL, a lot of irony wit choosin’ to review this today! From my FTLD name turnin’ 10, to Southn Belle’s b-day, to Garin’s b-day! Speakin’ of your “phone” line, I dunno how I don’t have your cell # by now, based off all tha reviewz and shit I’ve done.

28:08: Tha scene in tha room cut off? Back to tha high dude wit tha red shirt. I dunno how y’all can be “in tha studio every night.” For tha past few weeks, I’ve been convertin’ my cassette tapes to mp3s in an audio suite for 12 – 15 hours a day! I dunno how I deal wit it! Luckily, I multi-task!

29:18: You’re dead-on right about how “err-body don’t wanna hear” about that “stuntin’ shit!” Anotha reason why I give people low ratings and am bored about a lot of shit! Which, in fact, just last year, I spent about a ½ a G tryin’ to get someone from BR to perform where I’m at. They borrowed tha money, and haven’t paid me back a fuckin’ penny since. It’s like, smh; you got plenty of wayz to get $$$, so how you not payin’ me back?! That was, like, tha death of likin’ most money songs, for me. It also put me in a position to not send people money for anything, anymore…

½time: Okay, I’m ½way through this, and I have to say that this iz some nice footage! I’m gonna save my rating ‘til tha end, but it’s really like a night in tha life of Foxx & Milliyone Musik, 2012 style!

30:09: A “Not Myself” performace; lol @ tha “I’m” listed in this title, this time… Really, it’s mostly people dancin’, and some behind tha scenes of tha club/pictures bein’ taken.

31:44: I don’t get why people are obsessed wit signin’ deals… I don’t want someone to control me and what I do! Just like you, I gon do things “myself!” I’ll produce myself, I’ll rap myself, I’ll write myself, I’ll make videos myself, I’ll press up CDs myself; yup, I am “myself,” lol!

33:23: Good shit about signin’ “tha contract;” people are obsessed wit money and it’s so gay!!! It’s like, money’s not stoppin’ me from comin’ to Louisiana; comin’ wit a dude and (maybe) anotha person’s what’s stoppin’ me ‘cause I need some backup.

33:46: “Pussycats” rappin’, here, and like I said before, I like your jammin’. Good sound effects you’re providin’; would prolly sound good on stage!

35:55: Music video? I like tha baby bottle behind tha wheel (to view), but not that “yeah” shit in tha background…

37:03: LOL @ tha “white” people you prefer as a “neighbor.” In this music business, I’d rather deal wit black people, personally, ‘cause I feel that “white” people try to compete wit me instead of workin’ wit me, based off of previous experiences. That’s just my opinion, but I don’t mind workin’ wit anyone. But, in tha video business, I think I prolly would wind up workin’ wit “white” people more, but am open to anyone…

37:53: “Get The Fuck On” performance; sounds good, and you’re barely movin’ on stage… Good hand movements, too…

39:37: A “Nobody Else” song wit tha birthday girl, Southn Belle… I like tha walls you stand in front of. At 40:46, Southn Belle looks good in that mirror. LOL, at 41:14, I thought that was me randomly talkin’! I was like, “Where’d my voice come from?” Good scenes that match some of your lyrics. Well, not all tha lyrics; when I do music videos, I try to make all tha lyrics match, as best as possible!

41:52: Still goin’ “Loose As A Goose” wit this performance? Song reminds me of tha faggot-ass, brainwashed-ass, makin’ $0.00 from people-ass dayz that I hate wit all my soul! Either way, just a regular performance…

43:11: What’s up wit tha cocky dude about fuckin’ someone’s “bitch,” especially wit that mean-ass mug? It’s like, who cares?

44:49: Good thing about you learnin’ about “bad investments.” For tha most part, sendin’ 100s of Louisiana people so-called ‘awards’ I gave them was a waste of $100s of dollaz, especially when a bitch-ass asshole wouldn’t thank me! Even when I gave them my debut album, too!

46:34: A (I guess) newbie, Lil’ Herc; looks like he in a classroom? I guess, good advice about “workin’.”

47:41: Nice breakdown about “Wipe Me Down”’s beginnings. As always, I feel bad for tha whole “Lil’ Boosie Feat. Foxx & Webbie” shit. At 18, back on March 14, 2007, when I first heard it on Music Choice Rap, I knew it was Foxx Feat. Lil’ Boosie & Webbie, thanx to LimeWire; glad I had correct intentions!

51:32: Ahh, a “Wipe Me Down (Remix)” performance…; not bad…

54:28: “People gon say a lotta shit about cha;” I agree, and for tha most part, “a lotta shit” iz inaccurate! That’s why I wanna get outta this music biz ASAP ‘cause people don’t know what to do wit me, and I’m not ‘cool’ enough for people. It’s video business all tha way!

55:24: Credits? I like how that “Trill Entertainment” background goes wit tha cash! Too bad I couldn’t tell who Hollywood HD was; would’ve been great to notice who he was ‘cause I got love fa what he does!

56:14: “Invest ya money, man;” that’s right… Good thing I rarely spend any money! Also, we got a “Goldmouth Dawg” performance, here… It almost looks like a cafeteria wit tha lights on tha ceiling, lol.

58:16: Good shit about how other “labels” be “hatin’” on “other people.” I think when people “hate,” they ain’t gettin’ nowhere. There’s no reason anyone should have a problem wit me ‘cause I neva cause any drama wit anyone!

Overall: Nice job wit this, Foxx, and Mr. One dude! I know it took me at least a ½ year to review it, after I posted a comment on this on YouTube about reviewin’ it. Between internin’ at tha local news station, working on my graduation project, finishing college and other shit, I had to get everything done. Unfortunately, on your birthday, when gettin’ in tha car at tha local news station, one of tha news photographers almost chopped my leg off, after not realizin’ that I was with them. It’s like, smh @ people not payin’ attention to me! However, tha day got better as I remembered date and time of, about, almost 30 life events in Professional Writing class, impressin’ my whole class, within 20 minutes! Keep up tha great work! Now, time fa me ta eat breakfast, get gas, and spend 15 hours convertin’ cassettes to mp3s, while doin’ more reviewz and gettin’ ready to save some of my radio edits to videos, so I can put ‘em on YouTube!
