Review #1,448: Bigg Nick "Bond Money On Deck"

Reviewed on 2.28.2015 (Review #1,448)

‘Bout to review a CD, courtesy of Mac Soul & Exclusive Grind Entertainment: Bigg Nick Bond Money On Deck, which was just released. At first, I thought he was D-So from Da Jiggalaters (real name Derrick Stewart). However, it’s Bigg Nick from tha Mac Soul click (real name Dominic Stewart). Regardless, I told him I wanted a copy of this CD, and I got it! So, now that I’m not workin’ for a few dayz, lemme go ‘head and review this! Start Time: 5:15 PM | End Time: 6:12 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Take A Ride Wit Me” feat. P.Bond
Of course, because tha dude that did tha artwork has no grammar skillz or double-checking skillz whatsoever, of course, tha title on tha back cover says, “Take Ride Wit Me,” without an “A.” Like, really? Thought he was done with?! >>> Likin’ tha beat; sounds like a good hook. Reminds me of tha dayz when I used to listen to Louisiana music and love it so much, lol; holy, Flashback Saturday? Continuing from tha hook, here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through “wit” some nice, regular-livin’ rhymes… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from P.Bond and I’m actually dealin’ these lyrical rhymes; they’re not that boring ova this beat… And, here’s anotha verse from you, tha 3rd verse… It sounds great hearin’ your voice even more! Diggin’ tha fact that I just hit you up when I thought you was someone else! I still was like, “Okay,” not like, “Never mind,” ya dig? Like how you said, “Bruh,” on tha 3rd verse, too; always diggin’ that southern shit! My Rating: 4.3

02. “The One” feat. 2 Slugz
WTF @ tha feature? Like, why couldn’t this be 2009, back when niggaz were actually wantin’ to get a hold of me? Not now, when niggaz trick-see me and I’ve completely fallen off. Oh well, I’ll just skip tha featured parts so I can move on with my busy, never-endin’ schedule faster… >>> Nice beat, but we shall see, overall… Diggin’ how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse; good shit… Despite it bein’ your title, I’m not a fan of anything “money.” And, tha hook’s catchy, though tha voice effects can create borderline gayness; we already know that! Next…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s actually you, again; sounds nice… My Rating: 4.0

03. “Move On” feat. Young Brock & J.Beezy
>>> Phone call startin’ this off… Nice southern-soundin’ beat; diggin’ it! Nice job witchu on tha 1st verse, here; keep grindin’! Tha hook sounds catchy, on a Baton Rouge tip, as far as tha voice… LOL, it’s about breakin’ up; lol, glad I ain’t neva had dat kinda shit! And, here comes tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, askin’ ‘em to, “Find anotha dick ta sit on,” lol. And, here’s tha 3rd verse… Sounds like a regular southern voice with a regular vibe; decent… My Rating: 3.8

04. “Outside Butter” feat. 2 Slugz & Bob
Good grief… >>> Sounds like an online beat… Title looked like some female reference or somethin’, but at least it’s a color/style reference; ridin’ in tha whip! Nice job wit tha hook, bruh! Feelin’ your energy wit your voice and all dat good shit! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you and it sounds pretty good ta hear; keep your aggression goin’! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it sounds like it just flows over well from this Bob dude… And, it’s you on tha 3rd verse! Wow, it must be my lucky day for avoidin’ awkward vibes! Uh, only a few bars? How short? My Rating: 4.3

05. “Hustle Hard” feat. Red Dog
>>> This online beat sounds like it makes you provide an anthemic track… Hearin’ tha hook and it ain’t bad; don’t really fuck wit “bitch bad and my money good” as a combination. You already know those are two of my weaknesses. However, I do like how tha final bars of tha hook sounded; sounded like a build-up! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ good… Well, when I say, “Good,” it’s how you sound, not when you rap about “money!” Hearin’ Red Dog on tha 2nd verse and although tha voice iz nice, I’m not a fan of “money” rhymes, once again! Surprisingly, I’m diggin’ his rhymes about tha bitches! Sounds catchy when he continuously spits about ‘em! My Rating: 3.7

06. “Tool On Ya” feat. Jack & Trigger Troy
>>> Sounds like some nice throwback beat from, like, ’06, ‘07 or somethin’, back when my Louisiana connection was pickin’ off tha ground! This that pure sound; diggin’ tha gangsta shit on tha hook! This gotta be one of our well-known Baton Rouge producers on tha beat! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds pretty nice; you really got shit goin’ on, here! See, no “money, money, money, I got money” bullshit on this track, here! Notice how my interest’s higher! It’s like, we need ta kill—with a huge AK-47—kill all rap about “money,” ASAP! Until then, I’ll just let it go in one ear and out anotha! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and you sound great on this verse; good shit! Definitely feelin’ your aggression! Luv how you’re almost 32 and you holdin’ shit down like this, as far as your content, aggression, style, and everythang you all about; good shit!! And, here’s tha 3rd verse—whataya know, they said, “AK-47,” just like I did; psychic prediction? I picked a random gun, but thought of somethin’ big! Funny ‘cause this title has to do wit a gun, as well, lol! But yeah, nice job wit tha 3rd verse; good shit! My Rating: 4.5

07. “Ballin’ & I Know It” feat. Young Racks
>>> Really not for me with all this “money” obsession, but I’ll continue to listen ‘cause it’s you… Tha hook’s kinda cocky, but I’m kinda diggin’ it ‘cause you technically are “ballin’ & I [do] know it,” ya dig…? Let’s hope you do some services with me, as far as a commercial, YouTube upload, DatPiff upload, etc., whateva it may be… As long as I get a lotta your “bond money,” ya feel me? Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Young Racks—oh, dear God, his name—and it’s what it iz; no comment, nothin’ negative ta say… Nice shit from you on tha 2nd verse; I can dig when you spit shit… My Rating: 3.5

½time: Sounds like a nice-soundin’ CD; I’m definitely diggin’ your voice! Lookin’ on my blog and I heard you from an ex-person, a.k.a. 2 Slugz, back on October 30, 2013, on his No Handouts CD; I thought your name was familiar… Also, you’ve been my Facebook friend since September 2011 (a few friend requests, I think?). Anyway, it sounds great wit how you comin’ through on this! Thought it would be a lil’ worse with tha “money” shit, especially in tha album’s title, but this sounds like some nice quality! Therefore, tha average CD rating’s a 4.0, at tha moment!

08. “Go”
>>> LOL at, “Hey, this tha best kept secret!” Sounds like some good rappin’, here, as far as tha verse… Nice and simple wit tha “Go, go, go, go…,” on tha hook, too… My Rating: 3.9

09. “I’ma Gangsta” feat. J.Beezy
>>> Diggin’ how this sounds, for a start; sounds like some more excitin’ Louisiana music that sounds like tha past! Ooh, those good flashback feelings! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice; good shit from dat Beezy dude, on tha hook! And, he’s on tha 1st verse, here, comin’ through wit some Baton Rouge, gutta, southern, grill-gleamin’, gangsta-soundin’ shit; yeah! And, here you are on tha 2nd verse; just luvin’ tha continuous aggression! Definitely sounds great ta hear! Feelin’ your continuous aggression on tha 3rd verse, as well; whoot, whoot!! Such energy you have on this track!! No wonder why err-body luvs my energy at work! Lil’ did they know all this energetic Louisiana injected itself into me, over tha years! My Rating: 4.5

10. “She Told Me That”
>>> And, it continues! Anotha nice-soundin’ beat and yeah, even on a sex/female tip, it’s soundin’ real catchy! Diggin’ how you describe some of tha shit you got goin’ on, here, like, goin’ on, lol… And, hearin’ tha hook and it sounds nice; catchy fa a regular title like this… And, tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, too; good shit! My Rating: 4.2

11. “Strokin’” feat. Mac Soul
>>> This sounds nice; anotha nice-soundin’ track fa tha bitches! Good shit on tha 1st verse, here, ova this beat, and tha hook’s pretty catchy, too! Holy, smellin’ tha “pussy!” ‘Puss-aye!!’ Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ pretty nice, too; diggin’ what you got goin’ on, here… Huh? An unlisted dude on tha 3rd verse? Since he said, “Mac,” or somethin’, before tha verse started, I’mma assume it’s Mac Soul? Anyway, nice lil’ voice ta collab on this track witchu; diggin’ it… My Rating: 4.1

12. “She Say” feat. P.Bond
>>> Sounds like anotha nice-soundin’ beat! Some singin’ on tha hook…; ehh, okay, I’ll accept it, since it goes good wit this beat… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ good; decent way ta flow through, but at least it’s less than three minutes long, overall… Hearin’ P on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some “G”-shit; nice fa tha south… My Rating: 3.6

13. “Show Out” feat. Young Brock
>>> Ugh, just heard a Q-Red beat tag; holy, exes! Should I bring out Veronica, have her sing Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” and be like, “I got a blank space, baby, and I’ll write your name?” Feels like it’s been a ½ decade since that dude took me serious! I, like, ain’t even have a car and drive, at tha time, ROFL!! What a loser I was!! All I can say iz, thank God people like him influenced me to slowly fall off! With that bein’ said, tha hook sounds good and you sound great on tha 1st verse! I refuse to leave feedback on tha production, so just try and detect how I’m feelin’ about tha track, overall, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice wit this Young Brock dude! Speakin’ of tha line, “‘Cause I’m shittin’ on you niggaz,” I always wanna interview Q-Red fa this pic:
Like, on March 30, 2010, he started a movement: Tha shittin’ pic, which was later popularized by DJ B-Real! Like, I wanna interview Q-Red and be like, “When you took this pic, what made you think of it?” I mean, I posted on MySpace in January of ’06 a pic of me on tha toilet, eatin’ pizza bagels, but yeah… Anyway, tha rest of this shit was nice ta hear, as well! My Rating: 4.4

14. “Tenderoni”
>>> Nice beat start and it sounds nice witchu on tha 1st verse… Diggin’ how tha beat slowly adds sounds to it! Tha hook sounds nice with this ‘90s-soundin’ R&B sample; good job… Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ pretty nice, too… And, tha 3rd verse’s good, too; good shit! My Rating: 4.2

15. “The Lights” feat. Mac Soul
>>> A slow-soundin’ beat ta end this CD off, and it’s soundin’ pretty catchy… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you and it’s nice; lol, your voice calmed down… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s okay; sounds like a soft way ta end this CD off… And, here’s Mac Soul on tha 2nd verse, with tha same voice as that one track with tha unidentified feature… Anyway, he sounds good on this track, but this track’s too slow for me, overall. It ain’t bad, but, you know, I’m all about energy! My Rating: 3.4

Overall: I thought this was a pretty good CD! You definitely got a great voice fa your age! It kinda reminds me of me, 10 years from now, when I gon turn 37! I’ve developed real slowly over tha years, due to my autism and my family’s first autistic family member. However, I’m now on top, doin’ what I want! Yeah, it took till age 26, but I’m glad it took tha amount of time it did! I mean, for example, I discovered Q-Red at, like, age 20, but it would’ve been hell if I was drivin’, back then! Like, didn’t want anyone at my job thinkin’ I like people that don’t show me luv! So, now that I have a job and all these chicks be diggin’ me, there’s NO Q-Red, B-Real, etc. comin’ outta my mouth, as far as promotion! It sux ‘cause nothing’s ever my fault! Y’all just can’t handle my consistency and are so unprofessional!! But yeah, with that bein’ said, keep on grindin’! Cut out annoying, inconsiderate, self-centered people! I gave up self-centered, bitch-made people for Lent!!

Review #1,336: 2 Slugz a.k.a. Slugz Lucas "No Handouts (Hosted by DJ Ya Boy Earl)"

Reviewed on 10.30.2013 (Review #1,336)

Time fa Boss Click Muzik ta stand up, here: 2 Slugz a.k.a. Slugz Lucas No Handouts (Hosted by DJ Ya Boy Earl) iz what I finna review! Start Time: 8:06 PM | End Time: 9:32 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

© 2013 CD Review (Review #1,336) reviewed on 10.30.2013 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “No Handouts (Intro)”
LOL, my 1st review:
>>> I really like how you sound in tha beginning, here; always C.A.F.—cool as fuck! Consistent rhymes!! Soundin’ cool throughout this whole intro; good shit! And, Earl on tha outro, here; gotta feel how anticipated he iz!! My Rating: 4.3
What wound up bein’ my 2nd review (without realizing):
>>> Really likin’ how you comin’ through on tha intro, here; gotta feel it! Betta than tha Lil’ Snupe 16 & Runnin’ CD I previously reviewed; you got dat good vibe, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse (or, only verse, based off this length), and it sounds good… LOL, tha “Instagram flexin’” line again, from a previous song. Oh, I think this was tha “No Handout (Intro)”. LOL, forgot tha intro was incorrect… Oh wait, this iz tha intro… LOL, I wound up rating it tha same, twice; weird… My Rating: 4.3

02. “You Ain’t Gotta Lie”
>>> Ooh, this sounds catchy wit tha beat and how you deliver tha hook! This one that “You Ain’t Gotta Lie”; tight shit! Tha 1st verse sounds good, here; you keepin’ tha sound up! Can’t deny Slugz! Always sounds like you’ve neva had a bad moment; you keep bein’ uplifted! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good, too. Almost thought tha 1st ½ of it sounds a lil’ off-beat, but I can’t front on listenin’ ta you right now, Slugz! My Rating: 4.4

03. “Cell Phone Ringin’” Feat. Zoom
Keep ‘em comin’! >>> Sounds like a “Welcome To Jamrock” sample in tha beginning; let’s see what this about… Earl obsessed wit swaggin’, here… Tha 1st verse ain’t too bad, here… Okay, this tha “Cell Phone Ringin’” song, finally… Ooh @ Zoom on tha 2nd verse; sounds like Juvie, and sounds like a great black dude! Like, when you see a black dude and they just proud of who they are? Well, that’s what he sounds like, and I’m definitely feelin’ what he bringin’ to tha table!! Shit-fuckin’-yeah!! My Rating: 4.4

04. “Insane”
B_Bangerz doin’ tha beat, here! >>> Good reppin’ in tha beginning, Earl! “Boss Click Muzik!” Here’s tha “Insane” song; lol, startin’ off wit tha 1st verse wit tha title! Catchy, consistent rhymes on tha 1st verse from you, Slugz! Good shit! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, here; straight “wiggin’, bruh,” lol! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Tomorrow” Feat. Young Racks
True dat! >>> Nice vibe, here; sounds like you’re focused!! LOL, this “Tomorrow”, wit some “alright, alright” shit in tha background, too! Catchy job; ironic dat Rocko’s “Tomorrow” came on Music Choice: Rap as a lil’ throwback today. Haven’t heard it in a while; can’t believe it’s five years old! Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and we startin’ wit tha Young Racks dude! I luv tha peeps you be teamin’ up wit, Slugz; they official wit it! Gotta give it up ta this Racks dude, comin’ through nicely fa you! Now, here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through nicely on tha 2nd verse, too! “Bustin’ like piñataz!” My Rating: 4.3

06. “On That R. Kelly” Feat. Mac Soul
A bonus ta end, which iz not on tha back cover? Let’s see what we got, here… >>> Funny how Earl’s still in tha background. I neva thought that my weird-thinking mix-and-mastering that I do would be easier to hear… Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and we got you, comin’ through wit an okay vibe. LOL, I’m not sure about this title. We’ll see what happens… Anyway, it’s you on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some good shit fa tha ladies, as you’re active on ‘em, lol! My Rating: 4.0

07. “Click Juice” Feat. Codakk Demond
LOL, I was just thinkin’ about “Juice”-titled songs, earlier today. I remember hangin’ wit my boy, Juice, from my 1st college, and there bein’ “Juice”-titled songs out, back in’ 08 (Kane & Abel “Get Rite Juice” & Tyga “Coconut Juice”), lol! Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this! >>> Hearin’ tha 1st second, and it sounds like this tha “Click Juice”; let’s see… Yup; sounds like a good hook and all about gettin’ fucked up! Nice job wit tha 1st verse, Slugz; good shit! Codakk sounds catchy on tha 2nd verse; “listen very carefully” ‘cause he deliverin’ some great shit! “My secret weapon;” this dude’s official wit it, fa dat Boss Click! My Rating: 4.3

08. “Star”
B-to-tha-Bangerz! >>> This sounds catchy; I like how tha beat sounds, as well as how you sound on this, Slugz! Nice job wit tha 1st verse… This one’s “Star”. LOL, thought it was gonna be tha bonus track… Damn, 37 seconds of silence at tha end? Not cool… My Rating: 4.2

09. “One Life To Live” Feat. Chop & Chess
>>> Sounds like a forgivin’ song… Sounds catchy, and it sounds familiar? LOL, I got tha right title here, based off of swapping (“One Life To Live”). Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it’s you, comin’ through wit your “status up;” that’s what’s “up!” Really feelin’ tha hook, as I’m hearin’ it for tha 2nd time! Gotta luv how you “put your heart and soul” inta it! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and I dunno if I wanna say this, but they give me a Meek Mill feel—that sounds so 2008, when I say that name. Anyway, anotha good collab! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse from Chess here, and it sounds like it fits. And, an Earl check-in at tha end… My Rating: 4.3

½time: So far, off to a great start, just as I expected!! Slugz, you definitely holdin’ it down, and as much as I enjoy Earl, I have ta say, will he get outta tha background and come center? Either way, 4.3 for tha current CD rating!! Also, sometimes, during tha ½ point, I call folks, see if they’ll answer. Lemme see if you’ll answer, real quick… Of course, Slugz answered (forgot that I didn’t give him my new #)! 6:57! Also, got tha ‘Slugz hookup’ on thangz, so I got ta hear some interesting thangz! Glad we’ve been connected since Spring 2009!

10. “100 Roundz” Feat. Live Boy Scooter
Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this! I know you can last “100 roundz,” Slugz! >>> I like how Earl’s in tha intro, here, but he sounds way too far deep in tha background, lol? Anyway, title mix-up? Sounds like you’re sayin’, “100 Roundz,” a lot, here, which iz one of your titles…? Weird, but I’ll see what happens… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and it sounds good, just as catchy as tha hook. Tha 2nd verse sounds good here, too; keep it comin’! Oh, here’s a feature: Okay, I guess this iz “100 Roundz” and not “You Ain’t Gotta Lie”. We got Live Boy Scooter on tha 3rd verse, here, and he crazy wit it!! Gotta luv how he comin’ through wit it!! Fastness, hood shit; gotta luv it!! How many times I gon say it?! “Gotta luv it!!!” Good outro from Earl, too… My Rating: 4.4

11. “Jumpin’” Feat. Bigg Nick & J.Beezie
>>> If this tha right song, it sounds good for a start… Sounds like you enjoyin’ yaself on tha 1st verse; can’t complain about it, Slugz! Fuck! Anotha error: Damn, this gon be a confusing-ass review! This #11: “Jumpin’” Feat. Bigg Nick & J.Beezie. I’m cutting/pasting tha original titles, and swappin’ ‘em, so I don’t get confused, later on… Anyway, that Bigg Nick dude on tha 2nd verse serious wit it!! Definitely feelin’ how he comin’ through, and forcin’ tha haterz ta “eat” sum “dick” at tha end! That dude tha truth! Hope we connect real soon! Got Beezie on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit some nice shit, on a consistent level—damn @ tha fast rhymes on tha 4th bar!! LOL @ tha ending from Earl, broadcastin’ from, like, a baseball field! My Rating: 4.4

12. “Freaky”
B-Bangerz! >>> Let’s see if this “Freaky”—oh, Earl said tha title in tha beginning. Here we go again wit tha title swap… Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it sounds great on this beat! Slugz, you know you tha truth if you “skeeted in her hair!!” Damn, Slugz!! I like how Earl appears in tha hooks, outta nowhere. LOL, he’s so buried in tha background!! Nice job wit tha 2nd verse, too, Slugz! You wild wit it!! My Rating: 4.3

13. “Runnin’ Ya Trap”
>>> Sounds like you on some gangsta shit, here… Tha hook sounds nice; blends in nice from tha 1st verse! Let’s keep it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here… Sounds good; sounds like it went by quickly… LOL, Earl on tha ending! My Rating: 4.2

14. “Free”
LOL. >>> Nice beginning, wit a really slow beat, lol! Sounds catchy wit tha 1st verse, as your “dick” iz all ova these hoes, lol! Here’s “Free”, and what do ya know? Tha title on tha mp3 file iz correct! That’s a first fa this CD! Or, iz this “On That R. Kelly”, based off tha 2nd verse? I dunno, but we’ll see wit tha next song. I think I got this right, though, since it’s only you on this joint… Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; can’t deny it! My Rating: 4.2

15. “Over Here” Feat. LEXCann
>>> Who’s “Alexis,” or what Earl said in tha beginning? Let’s see what gon happen… Sounds like a cool joint wit tha hook, here… Oh, this ain’t “Free”; this “Over Here”; really hoppin’ wit tha titles! Now, I see who tha featured person iz… She’s on tha 1st verse, and she sounds good, fa a youngin. Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse, here, and it sounds nice. Glad you “loaded,” Slugz! Always gotta be “loaded;” it’s a great feelin’! Even got your “clothes soakin’ wet!” Sounds like you live a crazy/cool life; at least you ain’t gotta worry ‘bout no kids, unlike all these weirdos that have these crazy lives that I deal with! My Rating: 4.2

16. “Tear It Up” Feat. Drewsky
>>> This one iz “Tear It Up”… Not bad wit tha singin’ on tha hook, here! Here comes tha 1st verse, and this Drewsky dude’s sexed-up, lol. Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some catchy shit; immediately wants her, lol! My Rating: 4.1

17. “All Week” Feat. Lil’ Cali
Yes, a Lil’ Cali feature! LOL, I had a dream last night, and Lil’ Cali was in it. We was in Wilkes-Barre (about 40 minutes from my house), in some meeting (forgot what it was about). And, in order to get to it, I think, you had to fall down a really deep hole, underground. We tried to get some selfies and then, we went to Wal-Mart. I was tryin’ to upload tha pics, but there was no wi-fi. LOL, shout out ta Cali! His birthday was ironically two months ago today! >>> Tha beat sounds nice, here; sounds like that 2006 – 2008-soundin’ jiggin’ music!! Oh shit, this tha Lil’ Cali feature!! Can’t wait ta continue hearin’ this!! Catchy 1st verse, and tha hook’s catchy, too; you doin’ tha damn thang, Slugz!! Here’s Cali on tha 2nd verse, and lol, I thought he was gon “get head,” but he “duckin’ tha feds.” :( Great joint right chea!! Cali did tha damn thang; keep grindin’!! My Rating: 4.5

18. “Not This Time” Feat. Leezy & B.D.B.
>>> I’m likin’ tha quiet intro a lot, here… Had no idea what this was gon be, but it’s “Not This Time”… Tha hook sounds good/catchy fa this beat. Tha 1st verse sounds good, too, from you. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and it sounds good, here… Not sure who on tha 2nd verse outta tha features, but good shit… Sounds like a lil’ break before tha 3rd verse? Now, tha 3rd verse, and it’s not bad… Nice job wit tha outro, Earl; gotta put tha contact info out there! Can’t believe I’ve been in contact wit you fa almost a ½ decade, Slugz! My Rating: 4.1

19. “Burn One” (Codakk Demond Feat. Slugz Lucas, B.D.B. & Mac Soul)
Not included…? My Rating: N/A

Overall: Okay, I screwed up tha titles to #01 & #11; lemme go back and see what they iz… LOL, #01 & #13 are tha intro… Based off tha feature, #11 must be “On That R. Kelly”? One that’s not on here iz tha bonus track: “Burn One” (Codakk Demond Feat. Slugz Lucas, B.D.B. & Mac Soul). Also, this iz how I reviewed tha CD, which was tha order it was in on LiveMixtapes:

01. “No Handouts (Intro)”
02. “100 Roundz” Feat. Live Boy Scooter
03. “Jumpin’” Feat. Bigg Nick & J.Beezie
04. “Freaky”
05. “Runnin’ Ya Trap”
06. “Over Here” Feat. LEXCann
07. “Not This Time” Feat. Leezy & B.D.B.
08. “Cell Phone Ringin’” Feat. Zoom
09. “Insane”
10. “Tomorrow” Feat. Young Racks
11. “On That R. Kelly” Feat. Mac Soul
12. “One Life To Live” Feat. Chop & Chess
13. “No Handouts (Intro)”
14. “Free”
15. “Tear It Up” Feat. Drewsky
16. “All Week” Feat. Lil’ Cali
17. “You Ain’t Gotta Lie”
18. “Click Juice” Feat. Codakk Demond
19. “Star”

I wound up puttin’ it in tha correct order in my review (according to tha back cover). Anyway, I thought this was a great CD, in your own wayz, Slugz!! I enjoyed it; you did tha damn thang wit this one!! Keep up tha great work!! But, I don’t think they should’ve mixed tha tracklist up this bad. Why couldn’t someone like Kevin Gates suffer tha consequences of a mixed-up tracklisting, lol?

Review #1,191: 2 Slugz "2 Slugz a.k.a. Slugz Lucas"

Reviewed on 9.20.2012 (Review #1,191)

Didn’t wanna get up early fa reviewz, but I’m tryin’ ta pull through… Startin’ off today iz my boy, 2 Slugz 2 Slugz a.k.a. Slugz Lucas! Now, Slugz iz wit Boss Click Muzik; let’s get it! Start Time: 8:14 AM | End Time: 9:25 AM

If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. Intro
What will it be in 20 seconds? >>> I’m used ta you sayin’, “man,” but you said, “mane,” here, lol; gotta luv my boy Slugz! My Rating: N/A

02. “Fa Dat 12” Feat. Codakk Demond
This looks like it gon be good!!! >>> Feelin’ tha beat and what y’all got goin’ on here wit all tha “might as well fa dat 12” shit! Let’s hear tha verses… Got you on tha 1st verse, and there’s quite a bit of non-stop rhymes, here; good shit, Slugz! Glad you got a whole project goin’ on, here; keep tha hot-ass music comin’ along!! Even though there’s not another hook, yet, at least tha beat’s changin’ up! This Codakk dude comin’ through sounds real nice wit his consistent rhymes; good shit! My Rating: 4.4

03. “So G”
Yup! >>> Nice beat start; this gon be tight! Feelin’ tha hook; tha “G”ness ain’t stoppin’…eva…fa you, Slugz! Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it sounds good, reppin’ fa “tha streetz!” Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; not much ta say, but keep this shit goin’! A lil’ cocky wit tha “make it rain” shit, but I can let you slide. My Rating: 4.1

04. “Drink A Couple Brews”
LOL! >>> Sounds like you goin’ off on this beat wit how you have a wild Slugz life, lol! Tha hook sounds tight; you and your crazy ass, lol! Keepin’ this shit goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, too; Sl-Sl-Slugz!!! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Down” Feat. Derty Red & Mac Soul
Looks like it gon be a good collaboration! >>> DJ Burn One beat? You’re on tha 1st verse, and tha rhymes sound good; good shit you bringin’ to tha table. Ehh, not really into a-tune that much, but luckily, tha hook ain’t too bad; a lil’ bit of catchiness goin’ on wit it… Derty Red doin’ a nice job on tha 2nd verse, here; cool voice fa who he iz! Thumbs up fa reppin’ nice fa tha Slugga! Here’s tha 3rd verse (Mac Soul), comin’ through wit some good shit. Lyrics are aight; nothin’ that would make me get out my seat… My Rating: 4.0

06. “All Week” Feat. John Gotti
Keepin’ tha collabs goin’! >>> You sound good on this beat; comin’ through wit your own slugz on tha 1st verse? LOL, almost didn’t expect it at first, but you got some daily character goin’ on in your voice, here! Tha hook sounds nice; “all week,” “all” day long!! LOL, speakin’ of me sayin’, “day,” you started sayin’ dayz of tha week! Got that John Gotti dude on tha 2nd verse, and he’s got a bit of a cool voice, comin’ through wit some good shit; can’t complain… My Rating: 4.3

07. “I Doubt It”
>>> Sounds like you doin’ a nice job on this beat; a neva-endin’ Slugz you iz, ya feel me? “I” like how tha hook sounds; some of these repetitive hooks really catch you, and you know what you doin’, Slugz! LOL @ tha 2nd verse; you usin’ all your energy, no matter if it’s tha hoes or tha club! My Rating: 4.2

08. “Grind” Feat. Hub
>>> A lil’ on a borderline R&B vibe, since you said you were “gettin’ [your] Trey Songz on.” A lil’ catchy for a really slow song; glad you got your character expressin’ in tha 1st verse! Tha hook sounds like a fuckin’ tight-ass sex action; feelin’ tha orgasmic actions goin’ on! It’s all about provin’ your character in a song than someone just sayin’, “We fuckin’, we fuckin’, we fuckin’, we fuckin’,” right? Good job wit tha 2nd verse, too; it’s all about dat hook and how you be not stoppin’!!! Thumbs up wit tha 3rd verse, too, goin’ all in tha girl’s “nipples,” too; ain’t that Slugzalicious fa dem hoes?! My Rating: 4.4

09. “Just Say It” Feat. Codakk Demond
>>> Unless you’re gettin’ tickled, this a-tune can be acceptable; ehh, a lil’ not for me, but once again, I’m likin’ it again. I mean, I’ve fucked wit you for over three years now, and there’s somethin’ about what you be spittin’ that I can’t deny anything; as long as you not rappin’ in a-tune, and soundin’ like you suckin’ dick while usin’ it, you’ll be fine! Tha 1st verse must be Codakk, and it sounds like a sequel to tha “Grind” song; yea, get dem “screws” loose! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse, and I like tha shit you got goin’ on here wit followin’ up your “Grind” song! “3:00 in tha morning?” Oh, I’d luv ta sleep ova wit you and see what goes on wit your crazy ass, one day, lol; you da man, 2-muthafuckin’-Slugz!!! No 3rd verse, but some tastin’ goin’ on toward tha end… My Rating: 3.8

10. “Straight Up” Feat. Zoom
>>> Startin’ off wit a hook, and it sounds good wit your repeatin’ tha title formula, “straight up!” Here you are on tha 1st verse, and you makin’ ‘em all believe as much as possible! Once again, you’re comin’ through on tha 2nd verse, and can I say, “Dr.” Slugz? You seem ta give err-body what they need! Got tha Zoom dude on tha 3rd verse, and he sounds like a cool dude from tha hood; can I picture him havin’ dreads or somethin’? Yea, “stab him wit tha dagger, bruh;” nice line, as it stabs tha haterz in they weak-ass asses! Love how it ended wit him rappin’! My Rating: 4.0

½time: So far, this iz a really good mixtape (sounds more like an album than mixtape); 4.2 iz tha CD rating, currently!! You got a lot of shit goin’ on, Slugz; enjoy tha buzz you gettin’ off dis CD ‘cause it’s payin’ off!!!

11. “Hearts Of Men” Feat. Mac Soul
>>> This sounds pretty good; you got some drama goin’ on in tha 1st verse? Wait, neva mind, you can bounce back and switch thangz up in a quick second! Tha hook sounds cool; almost has a bit of pop-type singin’ goin’ on wit your voice. LOL, let’s get tha hot weathergirl around from tha local TV station, and things’ll be betta! You’re on tha 2nd verse, and you keepin’ this shit goin’ wit more ta offer. Let’s hear tha Mac Soul dude on tha 3rd verse… Good lyrics, and an okay verse goin’ on, here. My Rating: 3.9

12. “Sex” Feat. Hub
>>> Long, quiet intro that sounds like a conversation… Here you are on tha 1st verse, almost 40 seconds in, and it seems like you’re ready fa some “sex”? Hope you can deliver it like your “Grind” song, song style! LOL @ tha hook; sounds like interests in “sex.” Sounds good, but where are tha sound effects? Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit descriptive lyrics… at least. Tha Hub dude’s just doin’ some background vocal-type shit in tha hook, which sounds good for an extra element. Oh, a lil’ bridge toward tha end; nice… My Rating: 3.7

13. “Love Them Sexy Girls”
LOL, likin’ this title. >>> Sounds like one of them online tracks, especially since there’s no one listed in tha feature? Off to an okay start; let’s hear what you got for tha rhymes… Okay, startin’ off wit a “ride;” let’s hope—ooh, some biting, too! Keep tha descriptive rhymes up… and, sound effects!!! Tha 2nd verse doesn’t sound dat bad, either; I think this should be tha end of tha “girls” songs for a while, though… My Rating: 3.5

14. “Somebody Let ‘Em Know”
>>> Sounds like a grind goin’ on wit this beginning… That was tha hook that started this off, and it sounds pretty catchy; gotta “let ‘em know” about Slugz!! Here you are on tha 1st verse, “still ackin’ wit 2ooley;” good name-drop! LOL @ tha random “Tupac Back” song mention, too; likin’ these random things you’re rappin’ about, here, a-day-in-tha-life-of-2-Slugz style! Tha 2nd verse sounds decent/good, too, pushin’ yourself as far as you can! My Rating: 3.7

15. “Make It Happen”
LOL, cool that this iz here! I thought it was also on tha one CD from last year that I couldn’t get to hear (due to tha files you sent me were protected)! My Current Rating: 4.3

16. “Frank Lucas”
Interestin’ name you got goin’ on, here. >>> Sounds a lil’ random, here, but it’s still good… Tha rhymes in tha 1st verse iz nice; I like what you got goin’ on, rhymes wise! Let’s see if you can make a catchy hook… Sounds a lil’ funny wit tha title, but I like your “bright future” prediction. Tha 2nd verse sounds like you “live dat life” in a great way! I remember when you got affiliated wit Savage Life Entertainment; it’s almost like I was there wit you since day one, and it’s really appreciated to know that I’ve been followin’ you since then! I thought there would be room for a 3rd verse, but two iz fine. My Rating: 3.8

17. “It’s Okay” Feat. John Gotti & Codakk Demond
>>> Sounds like a decent song, but good for memories of tha good times. I think this might happen ‘cause my 91-year-old great-grandma’s house area’s gettin’ bulldozed next year! :( So, hearin’ this while it’s still around must be a memory? Hope I can see it one more time! Good job wit this catchy hook; “ahh, it iz okay!” Nice job wit also rappin’ tha 1st verse good, wit tha shit you offerin’ ta tha hood! Thumbs up fa tha Gotti dude comin’ through wit some catchy shit fa tha 2nd verse, “hoes”tacular, at its finest! And, street-smart! Now, got Codakk on tha 3rd verse, and he’s got a lot of kick-ass rhymes comin’ out his tight-ass mouth! I like tha “smoke blunts longer than tha word Mississippi” line; oh, I’d luv ta kick it wit him one day! My Rating: 4.0

18. “Lose It”
>>> You sound focused on this beat; hook sounds good, too. If you had a bit more energy wit how you deliver tha hook, it would prolly catch on better… Anyway, tha 1st verse sounds like you’re fresher than tha best bitch in tha buildin’; Slugztastic! Here’s tha 2nd verse, and tha freshness continues… Oh, a “Make It Happen” quote, lol! My Rating: 3.8

19. “No Survival” Feat. Chop
>>> Sounds like this iz gonna be betta than some of tha previous songs… Here you are on tha 1st verse, and I like tha “come up” perspective you bringin’ to tha table, here. Tha hook sounds catchy wit makin’ people beware ta “come outchea;” I like tha various animals, too, lol! Also, tha title sounds good, too! You got more shit on tha 2nd verse, and I’m likin’ how “these hoes” are all in you! Chop on tha 3rd verse? Sounds like a Meek Mill breed, wit a lil’ bit of a slower flow. I have ta say, thumbs up fa tha gangsta shit; definitely good shit! However, how can people “have 8 niggaz with [them]”? It seems hard for me to recruit people for things… Once again, glad this ended wit a kick-ass featured artist rappin’! My Rating: 4.2

20. “Solja”
Love all tha different spellings of “soulja,” etc.! How we gon end this? >>> Likin’ tha beat sound you’re gonna rap on, here; lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this! Tha hook sounds great; likin’ tha “solja” status!! You’re nice and ready fa tha 1st verse, here; thumbs up fa comin’ through wit your own “solja” perspective! Likin’ tha 2nd verse, too; all about dat gangsta shit, here! My Rating: 4.3

Overall: Great job, Slugz; you got a bunch of kick-ass songs from this CD!! Thumbs up ta your kick-ass features, too; all them dudes go hard wit tha shit they bringin’ to tha table!! Y’all bosses keep doin’ tha damn thang! It’s FrankieThaLuckyDog, signin’ out!
