Broadcasting from tha mountains, near South Canaan, PA, it's ya boy, FrankieThaLuckyDog, here, sadly reportin' anotha tragic loss in tha Louisiana rap community.

Review #1,783: Da Real Gee Money "G-Code 2"

Reviewed on 11.09.2018 (Review #1,783)

Been meanin’ to get to this review a lil’ while ago. However, I been depressed about one of my tracks not gettin’ its music video done, in September. Also, during October, tha job I was doin’ tha track for changed on me, so I been a mess, ever since… Now, luckily, I found some sorta motivation to get to this, so lemme get to it: Da Real Gee Money G-Code 2, courtesy of TBG Records. Gotta give big ups to DJ B-Real for reconnectin’ wit me, last year, as well as meetin’ him two months ago! He produced most of this production on here, so shout out ta him! Had to purchase tha CD fa him; “Pay The Producer!” Start Time: 5:43 AM | End Time: 6:24 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2018 CD Review (Review #1,783) reviewed on 11.09.2018 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. Intro: Life Of A Gee
>>> Sounds like a good piano in tha beginning. Sounds good wit tha intro, between tha news story & you in tha interview, here. Thought there’d be rappin’ but just a good, semi-mumbled intro… My Rating: N/A

02. “Bloody Shoes”
>>> Didn’t really go for tha Cardi B imitation, in tha beginning… Hardbody showin’ luv ta dis production, here, as you’re spittin’ some good shit on tha 1st verse… Sounds good but, I’ono, during tha beginning of tha 2nd verse, tha faster rappin’ that err-body do gotta go. I’ono why err-body thank that ‘talent.’ Hearin’ tha hook betta than tha intro, now & I kinda thank it’s a lil’ catchy. Kinda ehh for err-body to do they own versions of tha Kodak Black track but it serves its purpose, I guess? My Rating: 4.0

03. “Bouncin’”
>>> Mo Hardbodyness comin’ through, here… Sounds pretty nice wit this energetic vibe, on tha hook; definitely nice! If you continued ta live a lil’ longer, this prolly woulda been one of tha great Baton Rouge anthems of this time (tha fun times). Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds like you spittin’ that hot shit that I used to love-love from BR…; good shit! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, too; good shit, once again! My Rating: 4.4

04. “Gee Pac”
>>> I rather you do this kinda shit than tha Cardi B shit. Anotha nice beat (Hardbody? Didn’t realize he did most of tha production, instead of B-Real…) and bein’ that ambitious writer! Good, consistent shit goin’ on in tha 1st verse, here. I can tolerate this type of fast flow, so I’ll give you tha props. Hook sounds good; good but not obsessive feelings comin’ from me, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here & it sounds good, too; can’t complain… And, a long outro at tha end, here… My Rating: 4.2

05. “The Recipe”
>>> Hardbody on tha beat, again. I’ono, this sounds a lil’ boring with tha production and plain, like most mainstream, southern shit of today. I do like how you deliverin’ this “recipe,” on tha hook. Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds good; can’t complain, once again. Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, consistently deliverin’ it… My Rating: 4.1

06. “Dreams To Reality”
That’s how I describe my Louisiana connection, as my “dreams” turned into a “reality,” when I finally touched down! >>> Mo wit Mr. Body, here… Was that a tag for B-Real & Q-Red? “Ask about B-Real & Q-Red…;” three-way production? Decent/quiet beat, tho, but it ain’t too bad wit tha 1st verse… Sounds like some good sounds in tha background, on tha hook, but tha beat’s mainly on a quiet tip… Either way, sounds a lil’ betta wit tha hook, here, but nothin’ too exciting, at times… Even throwin’ a lil’ Biggie, “If you don’t know, now, you know,” toward tha end of tha 2nd verse… My Rating: 3.8

½time: Sounds like a good CD, here. I know I liked tha 1st G-Code betta but this still nice, of course, wit a 4.1-rated CD!

07. “Industry”
Right before you died… B-Real doin’ this one and gotta luv that you, “Fulla tabs, while ridin’ round;” good start to tha 1st verse… Wit this one, I like how you flowin’ on this one, especially wit tha ending words on parts of tha 1st verse (“trippin’,” you know, holdin’ tha notes, randomly). Good consistency on tha 1st verse, of course. Sounds good wit tha hook, especially “Industry” vs. “in da streetz;” same syllables! Good shit on tha 2nd verse, too, but no held notes… Sounds a lil’ more mastered than what we were used to, right before you died (YouTube video). Either way, a good lil’ one before you passed… My Current Rating: 4.3

08. “Kick The Door Down” feat. DJ B-Real, Fredo Bang & Cleezy5
Smh @ tha “Clezzy5”; we “ee”! B-Real on tha feature, this time! >>> Comin’ through wit B-Real on tha beat; wanna feel excited fa dis…!! Yeah, this has more of a spiced-kick than tha rest of what I heard on this CD, so far! Tha beat sounds nice; prolly coulda had a lil’ mo energy in tha kicks or somethin’ but I’m diggin’ it! Good shit on tha hook, B-Real; you got dis! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, Gee & it sounds like your good, Gee shit; glad you “rollin’ on dem jiggaz!” Got Fredo on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit dat “G-TBG shit” (“G-Shit” + TBG shit)! Good shit; came quick & paid its purpose! Now, Cleez on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit mo of dat G-TBG shit! I like at 2:58, it sounds like you can hear some of that hidden energy that shoulda had some tight kicks in it…! My Rating: 4.5

09. “Right Nah” feat. Fredo Bang & Ree-Up
>>> Got Q-Red runnin’ dis bitch, “right” chea… Much mo mainstream wit tha soundin’ than what I’m used to, from him… Hook ehh; sounds like every other mainstream rapper… Damn, 1:03 till it got to tha 1st verse? Either way, here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some catchiness. Needless ta say, I’m not gonna jump for joy wit this one… Just can’t fuck wit all tha “money” shit; you know how dat go! No one got tha work ethic I have!! You have a good lineup on tha feature list, tho; good 2nd verse, I guess…? My Rating: 3.2

10. “Fuck With You” feat. Blvd. Bubba & Blvd. Quick
>>> Got B-Real & Austin On Tha Track doin’ this production, here. I do like tha production betta than tha Q-Red one from tha last track. Wit tha voice effects & shit on tha hook, I’ono; not a 100 from me, so we’ll see how it goes… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse & it sounds like a good verse; nothin’ much ta say… Got tha 2nd verse, here & it ain’t bad; good collab, between tha two Blvderz…! We got a 3rd verse, too; good job, y’all. My Rating: 3.7

11. “Painful”
>>> Tha beat intro gives me almost a hint of a Nu$$ie track or somethin’… Since it’s BW (I’ll leave it at initials), I’ll just stop commentin’ on tha beat, since a $20 bill’s a rough path! It’s a sad day when I get written up on BW’s birthday, two weeks ago! It’s almost like I take tha loss fa err-body!! Either way, decent lil’ 1st verse from you, here. Hearin’ tha hook and yeah, it’s true: “Friends turn to strangers.” Now that err-thang about money, these dayz, I can see how fake err-body iz & how I handle myself. Even down to tha people where I live at. Like, they trip about err-thang!! They can’t afford nothin’!! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it ain’t bad, neither. Crazy about tha “kill” parts ‘cause sadly, it came true. My Rating: 3.9

12. “Put That Pride To The Side”
>>> Got B-Real on this track; almost feels like a late ‘90s vibe, here… Not too bad fa a lil’ slow track… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad fa these bitches… Just talkin’ on tha hook, here. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s just regular-soundin’ rhymes, with a good lil’ hood story from Gee. True dat about tha “money” and how they “change” and shit. No matter what I turn into, I make sure I evolve & don’t change! No such thang as “friends,” sometimes, especially up here in PA! My Rating: 3.6

13. “They Switching”
>>> Q-Red beat; good sound, here… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds like anotha Gee hood story. Crazy that you ain’t “have no shoes.” Thank of how you became a successful, undaground being; great how it turns out! Tha hook sounds good; anotha tale of how people switch on ya! No matter what B-Real & I mighta went through in tha past, I want us to evolve! I wanna celebrate my success wit him & Doe-Doe! That’s how I look at it! My Rating: 3.8

Overall: Most of it sounds good, on tha regular. I just thank that it didn’t have much excitement, wit some parts. Either way, great lil’ last of Gee Money.

Review #1,758: TBG "Gorilla Gang (Hosted by DJ Ya Boy Earl)"

Reviewed on 9.19.2017 (Review #1,758)

Got anotha review before I regain my focus wit tha old reviewz… I already have anotha review lined up for 2morrow but it’s for tha dance-music world… So, lemme get inta this. Neva was alerted when this one came out but now, it’s time to review it. TBG Gorilla Gang (Hosted by DJ Ya Boy Earl), released in 2015 on TBG Records! Of course, by now, it’s R.I.P. Da Real Gee Money but tha TBG Gang gotta continue! Start Time: 8:02 PM | End Time: 8:51 PM

01. Fredo, Gee Money, Nino & Ree-Up “Blood”
Kickin’ it off wit a B-Real production; ooh! Let’s see… >>> That’s right, Earl: “See, money don’t make you real! Your actions do!” That’s what I be about all tha time! Not ‘bout no damn money, ya dig? With that bein’ said, hearin’ tha beat and it’s pretty nice, of course! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Fredo and it sounds dope; good shit, here! Gee Money takin’ ova tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some good shit… He was only 20, here, but this sounds nice ta hear, too… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse, here, as Nino spittin’ some consistent, gangsta shit, as always! Endin’ it wit tha 4th verse from Ree-Up, here, comin’ through in full TBG gear, here, fa tha TBGerz; good shit! My Rating: 4.5

02. Fredo feat. Nino “What You Say”
Anotha B-Real production! >>> A slow but nice start/beat, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice wit these “catchin’ playz” times… Kinda sounds like B-Real on tha hook, here, at times… I ain’t officially give him credit on tha hook ‘cause I know it ain’t him on tha 1st verse (same voice on tha hook). It sounds like a catchy lil’ verse; gotta dig it… And, we got Nino on tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ like a good verse… Gotta luv livin’ tha life in tha Rouge—well, I luv hearin’ it through tha music… My Rating: 4.4

03. Blvd Mel, Fredo, Gee Money & YMM Captain “iPhone 6”
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ instant start—ugh, it rewound! Likin’ tha quiet beat start… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice; good shit! We got tha 1st verse from Fredo, here, holdin’ it down wit dem “shits,” of course! Gotta luv how he have err-thang! As long as people have edibles, that’s what’s tha main priority! Got Gee Money on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit his fully-energized verse, here; good shit! That YMM Captain dude on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some catchy shit; dumb shit! Gotta luv Mel holdin’ down tha hook; good shit! Maybe, we’ll connect in person soon? Free Percy Keith! My Rating: 4.4

04. Fredo & Gee Money feat. Ree-Up & Toon “Jumpin’”
>>> Definitely feelin’ tha upliftin’, party vibe on tha hook, here! Gotta luv “jumpin’ to tha roof!” I like tha lil’ “I get loose, loose, loose” shit in tha background; iz that B-Real? Ooh, I feel excited, lol… Can’t wait ta go back to BR, next month!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty dope… Tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse a chick (Toon?); sounds good ta flow wit this, too… Got tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through nicely, as always… And, finally, on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse iz Gee Money, comin’ through wit some nice shit… I knew from when I first heard Gee Money 10 months & 4 dayz ago (B-Real’s birthday), I knew I had to appreciate him! Good shit! Hope err-body continue and neva give up wit this rap shit! My Rating: 4.6

05. Nino feat. Fredo “Run Around”
B-Real on dem beatz! >>> Off to a slow, sketchy start… Ehh, trashy; don’t see a 4.0 wit this one! Not diggin’ tha voice on tha hook and tha beat too dry… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad, here… Ugh, tha shitty-soundin’ voice’s on tha 2nd verse, here… Not feelin’ tha rhymes and this vibe, overall; fail for me and it’s a B-Real production, lol! My Rating: 2.3

06. TBG feat. Big Wayne “Catch It Then”
>>> An uncredited B-Real beat, here; nice! This more like it! Definitely feelin’ tha G-shit on tha hook, here; good shit! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty dope; gotta feel tha energy! Tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse’s pretty dope, too, holdin’ tha streetz of tha 225 down, too! “Stay wit tha shits!” Gotta luv tha whole them of “tha shits!” And, we got tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit tha gangsta shit, once again! Ooh, even more uncreditin’: Big Wayne; why both brothers uncredited, here? Nice job wit his energetic vibes, of course! Even a 3rd part of tha 2nd verse, here, from Gee Money, consistently spittin’ some vicious rhymes! Definitely dope, y’all! Nice instant ending, too! My Rating: 4.7

07. TBG “Wish Death On Me”
>>> Anotha uncredited B-Real beat, here… Sounds more like a slower vibe, here, soundin’ a lil’ betta than that dry one (#05)… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s a rough world but we gotta find tha positive source… Hearin’ tha hook and you can pass on this… I kinda like that it’s a female but I’ont fuck wit tha 50 Cent “Many Men” remake… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it’s Da Real Gee Money, soundin’ pretty nice… Sucks when you can feel “death” around… Gotta be lucky to be alive, these dayz! Got tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ like an okay verse… Overall, kinda cheesy, at times, but still on a real tip… My Rating: 3.1

08. Gee Money & Fredo “It’s Tru”
>>> B-Real produced this with a “Mike Stroke” dude? No credit, here, so I’m just takin’ a guess… Hearin’ Gee Money on tha hook and not diggin’ tha voice; kinda cheesy… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I luv his hotel vibe of “poppin’ tabs, watchin’ a movie” and all dat; gotta add a Jacuzzi, tho! Got Fredo on tha 2nd verse and not diggin’ these voice effects; they can go! Got tha 3rd verse, here, from Gee Money and it’s soundin’ a lil’ more interestin’, again… My Rating: 2.6

09. TBG “Knuckle Up”
Oh, I know this one… Here’s what I had to say about it, last year:

“Uh oh!! Kickin’ off tha 2nd ½ of this CD wit a B-Real-produced track [funny ‘cause this tha one b4 we kick off tha 2nd ½ of this CD!]!! Definitely feelin’ his on-Mars-soundin’ production!! Yeah, y’all knucklin’ in real life, but nuckelin’ on tha title, lol! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty serious; definitely quality shit! Baton Rouge’ll always have gangsta in it at all times!! B-Real really slammin’ tha beat, here!! Tha most-inspirational dude of all-time!! Can’t believe he made me get a job!! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ consistent and jammin’! Definitely dumb!!” My Current Rating: 4.9

½time: Mainly, this a tight CD; luv tha production, hyped-up vibes & people on this CD. Tha only downfalls are tha dry productions, at times, as well as tha auto-tuned, dry vibes… A 3.9-rated CD, overall, at least; let’s continue to build it up!

10. Gee Money & Nino “Primetime”
B-Real on this beat, of course! >>> Who on tha 1st verse? Uncredited dude but B-Real doin’ tha damn thang on tha beat! Oh, it’s Nino on tha 1st verse; good shit! And, we got Gee Money holdin’ down tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse, too; good shit! Damn, a lil’ short? My Rating: 4.4

11. Blvd Mel feat. Fredo & DJ B-Real “Hold Up Wait”
Anotha B-Real one! >>> Sounds like a tight track; I hear some B-Real “huhs” in tha background; nice! Gonna give him credit on tha hook, this time! Definitely feeiln’ what he bringin’ to tha table, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds pure; gotta feel it! Blvd Mel bringin’ tha heat at all times; gotta luv him! Keepin’ it movin’ wit Fredo on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit dat street shit! Quality at its finest; gotta luv it! My Rating: 4.5

12. Ree-Up feat. Fredo & Gee Money “Call Log”
>>> Keepin’ these uncredited B-Real tracks comin’ along, here… Nice lil’ beat and tha 1st verse’s soundin’ nice from Ree-Up, here, holdin’ tha streetz of BR down… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice, here, wit all this “call log” history… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it’s nice, as well; good shit… Switched to tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse wit Gee Money, here, spittin’ “magic” and doin’ his thang… Luv how he had err-thang, holdin’ it down like a “boss,” like he said… My Rating: 4.2

13. Fredo & Gee Money feat. Nino “I Love Pussy”
>>> Not too crazy about tha Fetty Wap-soundin’ voice on tha intro, fa some reason… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds like a joke… Honestly, it sounds like me at 15 years-old, like, “OMG, a song that keeps sayin’, ‘Pussy’, like Jacki-O’s song,” lol… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s bleh; too much Fetty!! Got Gee Money on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit a decent verse… Oh boy, tha flow got fucked up now that he rappin’ real fast… An uncredited Nino on tha 3rd verse, here; why uncredited? Decent lil’ contribution, tho… My Rating: 2.5

14. Fredo & Gee Money feat. Jerrid & Nino “Nigga Like Me”
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ production and tha 1st verse not bad, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse and it cool; not much ta say but it cool… Tha hook ain’t too bad, here; tha Rouge at its finest! And, we got a “19”-year-old Gee Money on tha 2nd verse, here… Guess this was recorded before June 15, 2015? And, tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse not too bad, as well… My Rating: 3.9

15. Adrian Bagher feat. Fredo & Gee Money “Where That Bag”
>>> Definitely feelin’ this vibe, tha beat and how Dat Boy A does his thang on tha hook… Only thang I say, “Fuck this,” to, iz how we “gotta get dat money” vs. talkin’/doin’ business wit me; why? Nice lil’ 1st verse, tho, from Fredo, holdin’ shit down… And, we got Gee Money on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some nice shit, too; gotta dig tha consistency! My Rating: 4.5

16. Cleezy feat. Nino & DJ B-Real “Really With The Shits”
Surprised this one that old & no B-Real credit (also, no “The” in tha title?)… I ain’t neva realize but my top-rated track off tha Join Da Gang CD… Tha full review:

“I smell a ***PERFECT RATING***!!! I smell a ***PERFECT RATING***!!! I smell a ***PERFECT RATING***!!! I smell a ***PERFECT RATING***!!! This gotta be tha shit with tha toilet and all dat!! >>> B-Real on tha track [not even credited on this CD]!! Shit definitely on-n-poppin’ on tha beat, here!! B-Real on tha hook, comin’ through wit tha hook in an N.O. bounce vibe, here, wit his delivery!! Fuckin’ sick!! No wonder why Baton Rouge, LA my top spot fa undaground music/rap music!! Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ pretty nice, here, holdin’ shit down! Cleezy got shit on lock!! Luv when B-Real says, “Retarded,” on tha hook!! Fuckin’ sick!! And, Nino on tha 2nd verse, keepin’ tha bounce-like vibe goin’ wit tha delivery of tha flow, here! Sounds like an excellent mix with tha BR-like beat!! And, I can’t believe I was right about my prediction!! “Retarded!!!”” My Current Rating: 5.0

17. Pimp feat. Ree-Up & Nino “Pills Back”
I know this one, too & this was also after “Really With The Shits” on Join Da Gang

““What up, B-Real?” Oh, “Fredo on tha track?” Y’all got me thankin’… Tha hook sounds pretty serious and catchy!! “Maneeeee, them pills back!!” Fuckin’ gotta love it!! Tha 1st verse sounds pretty nice, here! Yeah, gotta luv eatin’ shit! Edibles? Tha shiz-nit!! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, here, with a shout out ta “Blvd Mel,” too. With that bein’ said, “Free Percy Keith!!” Tha 3rd verse sounds good with a familiar-soundin’ flow? Catchy shit fa dem “jiggaz;” gotta keep it alive!! Tha vibe don’t stop, nor does it eva die!! My Current Rating: 4.7

18. Nino feat. Ree-Up “Loyalty”
>>> Endin’ wit an uncredited B-Real beat that’s nice and chill, here, fa tha 225… Hearin’ tha hook and yeah, gotta always have “loyalty” on ya team, here… To me, tha word “loyalty,” I symbolize with Big Wayne. I feel like he tha true leader of that word/meaning! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Nino and it’s soundin’ nice, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit Ree-Up on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some nice shit… Too bad when I deal wit certain people, tha “loyalty” broken, smh. Re-hearin’ tha hook and yeah, if it’s one thing I love about this generation, it’s tha huggin’ and it’s tha luvin’ amongst tha peers. Bein’ anti-social, in a lack-of-affectionate family & not 100% connected with people when I connect wit ‘em, I feel like all tha luv’s a guilty pleasure. However, these dayz, I try to break outta that shell! My Rating: 4.0

Overall: Nice CD, overall. A few dry songs but otha than that, production was definitely on point, as well as tha collaborations! Good job, guys! Keep up tha great work! R.I.P. Da Real Gee Money! Free Fredo!

Review #1,756: Off Tha Meter "Chapter 1: Only The Beginning"

Reviewed on 9.19.2017 (Review #1,756)

I was doin’ okay with tha reviewz, recently ‘til Baton Rouge producer/rapper, Austin On Tha Track, was murdered, last month. It threw my consistency off a lil’ bit and then, Da Real Gee Money got killed a month later… Finally, I think I got this, again… This and tha next two CD reviewz gon be related to those two deaths… This first one’s from two years ago and iz Off Tha Meter, or sometimes Meter Gang, Chapter 1: Only The Beginning, released on Meter Gang & Crook Muzik Music Group. Tha 2015 version of Off Tha Meter was Shon Thang, CJ Santana, DJae, Austin Rashaad, Gee Money Pimpin’ & Hot Boi Nook… Start Time: 5:40 PM | End Time: 6:10 PM

© 2017 CD Review (Review #1,756) reviewed on 9.19.2017 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “TakeOva (Intro)”
>>> Likin’ tha “slime ball” noun for homie, here… In 2015, I ain’t know none of dat “slime” shit till last year, with A1 Wissel sayin’ it. That was tha 1st time I done heard it… Good intro but as far as tha beginning voice, I’ont think I gon tolerate this voice effect shit… Not diggin’ tha hook wit this “we don’t fuck around wit you broke guys” shit; not a money person, here… Sounds betta wit tha 1st verse but I gon scroll through this… Tha 2nd verse listenable, at least; can’t complain here… My Rating: 2.1

02. “I’on Trust Y’all”
>>> Austin On Tha Track track, here… How about, “And, I’on really fuck wit [this auto-tune]?” A lil’ fast-rapped 1st verse, here? Same thang wit tha 2nd verse… My Rating: 1.1

03. “I’m Da Man”
>>> I’ono, just a basic hook and beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and this too boring fa me; same rhymes from every rapper these dayz, smh… Tha 2nd verse don’t got no interest fa me, neither… My Rating: 1.3

04. “Pull Up”
>>> Not too inta this basic beat and tha hook sounds like a random, cheesy, hyped-up track… My Rating: 1.8

05. “Romantic Love”
>>> I’ono…, not really for me, here… Tha hook may sound catchy fa othaz but a Louisiana “love” track? Naw… My Rating: 1.5

06. “Real Niggas Only”
>>> I ain’t toleratin’ this slow, long, auto-tuned shit… My Rating: 1.0

07. “Over Wit”
>>> Just… boring… Smh @ tha final verse wit auto-tune! My Rating: 1.2

½time: Expected a lot betta, especially since I knew Garin (Gee Money Pimpin’) & Austin On Tha Track since 2010… Y’all were so much betta wit “Ootin’ N You Bootin’” and all dem Baton Rouge-soundin’ songs. It’s a shame how err-thang have ta sound like mainstream-soundin’ bullshit music… A 1.4-rated CD so far; really?

08. “‘Bout Dat Life” feat. Max Minelli & Lee Banks
>>> Austin track… Luckily, some effort on tha 1st verse, here, but tha auto-tune kills it on tha hook, smh; always somethin’! Shame that we’re a fuckin’ decade inta that auto-tune shit, now, and it’s still goin’?! Why?!? Only liked it for a YEAR! It’s 10, now!! Ahhhhhhhhh! Good job from Max on tha 2nd verse; at least he neva wack! Same thang wit Lee Banks! You needed a rating boost so y’all recruited them fa tha track? Good pickin’ but neva should be ova cheatin’ tha ratings! My Rating: 2.3

09. “Hol’Up”
>>> Sounds a lil’ boring wit tha hook and how y’all comin’ through wit this… Honestly, it sounds like a dried-down version of y’all tracks from ’09, ’10… A lil’ bit of a better effort on tha 1st verse wit tha “purp” and shit, at least… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, neither, surprisingly… My Rating: 2.5

10. “The Smoke Out” feat. LRG & Ronnie Rap Game
>>> Boring, dry beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad, here… Tha hook ehh… Sounds like Ty Dolla $ign, at times? Kinda icky, not sticky, lol… Tha 2nd verse ain’t bad, as well… Can’t really say much, here… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it sounds like a lil’ bit of a catchier flow, luckily… My Rating: 2.6

11. “Pound Game Tuff” feat. Lee Banks
>>> Finally, somethin’ above-average, here! Diggin’ tha upbeat beat and tha hook pretty “tuff,” here; diggin’ it! Hearin’ tha 1st verse wit Lee Banks and it’s pretty nice; great collab, too! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s decent, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit y’all on tha 3rd verse and it’s nice, too, as y’all keepin’ it movin’… A 4th verse, here? Only 3:25 on tha length but squeezin’ err-thang, here… Sounds like anotha good-soundin’ verse from tha Rouge… Nice job, Austin… My Rating: 4.2

12. “Kill It” feat. Scotty Cain
>>> Sounds like a good beat, once again, Austin. This what I wanted this CD to sound like, not tha dry, boring, mainstream, typical, brainwashed-soundin’ shit… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice; I’ll stay listenin’, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s not bad… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it soundin’ nice, too; glad there’s no wack shit, here… Tha rest of this nice ta hear, too… Also, this anotha nice collab, too; can’t complain… My Rating: 4.0

13. “Run It” feat. Spitta, Scotty Cain, Max Minelli, Deezy Cain & Ree-Up
>>> Kickin’ it off wit Spitta on tha 1st verse, here, wit an anticipatin’ beat start! See, this what y’all CD ‘pose ta sound like!! Funny how some of tha sounds every two bars sounds like B-Real’s production on “I Be Workin’” from Lil’ Cali, OJ Da Juiceman & B-Real, himself, from 2010… To me, it sounds like a sound jack but it’s still a nice lil’ track, here… Good shit from Scotty, too, holdin’ this shit down… And, of course, gotta hold it down wit Max on tha 3rd verse, too! Consistent-soundin’ 4th verse, here; definitely feelin’ tha “streetz” vibe, Deezy! And, tha 5th verse iz here and it’s soundin’ good fa da gangstaz, too… A 6th verse, here, soundin’ pretty consistent from y’all, this time; can’t complain… Tha “OTM” vibe continues wit tha 7th verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear, too… An 8th verse, here, soundin’ good, too… A 9th verse, here, endin’ it wit Ree-Up, always soundin’ good, too; great job, err-body! Austin endin’ it off wit a 10th verse, here, doin’ tha damn thang, too… Nice job endin’ this, too; instant start, instant ending! My Rating: 4.3

14. “Meter Gang (The Anthem)”
>>> Endin’ with a shitty one? C’mon! We was just finally gettin’ some good ratings… Back to typical-soundin’ beats and shitty-soundin’ vocals… Remember how I used to always think auto-tune sounded like masturbatin’ in anotha dude’s ear? Yeah, I don’t think I’m changin’ my predictions! Basically, this just sounds like an outro… Ick, a fade-out… My Rating: 1.0

Overall: Ain’t really fuck wit this CD… Way too much a-tune & tha beats weren’t all that. When I review Louisiana music, I expect Louisiana music, not sell-out music for tha mainstream…

Recorded September 10, 2017

Broadcasting from Concrete City, here in Nanticoke, PA, it's ya boy, FrankieThaLuckyDog here, sadly reportin' anotha tragic loss in tha Louisiana rap community...

Garrett Burton, known in tha Louisiana rap game as "Da Real Gee Money," was murdered earlier this morning, Sunday, September 10, 2017, at around 1:30 AM, in tha 1900 block of Dallas Drive. Burton was in the parking lot when he was fatally shot by an unknown assailant on tha scene. No suspects or motives are present at this time; he was only 22 years-old. Burton was a part of tha TBG Gang, signed with TBG Records; TBG stands for "Top Boy Gorilla." On October 18, 2015, TBG released their debut album, Gorilla Gang, on TBG Records. On October 4, 2016, tha gang released their 2nd album, Join Da Gang, on PTP Production & TBG Records. On February 1, 2017, Burton released his debut solo mixtape, G-Code, which was hosted by DJ Young Shawn, on TBG Records. On February 28, 2017, Burton was featured in XXL's "The New New: 12 Baton Rouge Rappers You Should Know" article. On April 27, 2017, Chris Brown had posted about Burton and Black Pyramid Clothing. However, on tha dark side of thangz, recently, Burton was in tha mist of beefin' with other Baton Rouger, NBA YoungBoy. Burton recently celebrated his 22nd birthday, earlier on June 15.

Review #1,622: Da Real Gee Money "G-Code (Hosted by DJ Young Shawn)"

Reviewed on 2.02.2017 (Review #1,622)

Tha moment I’ve been waitin’ for… I know I been doin’ my old, Louisiana CD reviewz, but I’m takin’ a quick intermission from that, despite doin’ one this morning! I feel like this gon be tha most-anticipated, greatest CD review of 2017! Tha best CD!! Surprisingly, even tho I haven’t posted many Instagram things in a while, I just so happened to find this CD droppin’ on February 1, so I took notice! I just hope dude peeps out tha review and appreciates what I do for him ‘cause this generation’s rappers, it’s all about ignoring/bein’ “too busy” ‘cause of so many followers on Instagram, smh. I first discovered dude on November 15, 2016, DJ B-Real’s birthday, on tha TBG Gang’s Join Da Gang (Deluxe Edition) CD, which was a critically-acclaimed CD! Now, it’s his own CD and I can’t wait to hear it!! My new favorite dude of 2017? Da Real Gee Money, hailin’ from Baton Rouge, G-Code (Hosted by DJ Young Shawn), released on TBG Records!! To add to tha anticipation, as well as a stressful work day gettin’ in my way, this gon be tha 1st rap CD I gon review off of edibles! Should be real exciting, exactly an hour later!! Gee Money takin’ ova fa tha 2K17! Also, around this time four years ago, on February 6, I reviewed my favorite CD of 2013: DJ B-Real’s Pay Da Producer Vol. 1! Can’t believe we’re at, around, tha same time and it was four years ago?! Crazy! Also, can’t wait to meet all y’all in Louisiana, hopefully next month! A trip iz in tha works!! Start Time: 4:26 PM | End Time: 6:05 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! © 2017 CD Review (Review #1,622) reviewed on 2.02.2017 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. Intro
Le’do it!!! >>> Lol @ startin’ this off wit a Hot Boys/Lil’ Wayne sample, in tha background, especially startin’ off wit, “Cut that down;” trippy!! Gotta luv how you soundin’ wit tha southern slang! “Bruh;” “ya heard me;” diggin’ it! This gon be classic!!! My Rating: N/A

02. “All I Know”
My bad, I’m slowly trippin’ off what one of my chicks said, earlier: “Tha big ball guy was on, last night!!,” and, “Wait till you see these big balls we got!!” Like, whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!??!?!?! Dyin’ laughin’!! Now, can’t wait ta finally hear this, after I see that there’s a music video to it!! >>> DJ Swift doin’ tha beat, here; feels great/different/weird/awesome to be reviewin’ a current Baton Rouge CD, right now?! Likin’ how tha beat sounds fa this southern 2K17, ya dig? Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ consistent wit what you bringin’ to tha table, here! Definitely soundin’ like a future king—wait, I think you are on, now!! Lots of rhymes here, or iz time goin’ so slow? Hearin’ tha hook and…, uh…, I have to be 50/50 on it… Not diggin’ tha auto-tune, nor tha “bands” shit; I’ont fuck wit that shit! Other than that, tha vibe’s tha only thing I like; ain’t that, like, a 20/80? Ouch! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ consistent wit what you continuously bringin’ to tha table, here! Gotta luv when you “on dem tabs,” as well as your fast ridin’! Neva woulda imagined some1 like you would have that hidden inside you; dope! I may like this betta in tha future, but for now… My Rating: 4.2

03. “Jack Who”
Oh yeah!! Here’s what I had to say about this one, back last November:

““What up, B-Real?” Gotta feel tha shout out, here, and tha beat’s pretty pure! Gangsta, Baton Rouge shit at its finest! Tha hook’s pretty serious; definitely feelin’ tha catchy, bouncin’ vibe of this gangsta shit!! Shit’s definitely excellent!! Can’t deny this music, no doubt!! Tha 1st verse’s pretty jammin’, but pretty serious, as Gee Money holdin’ shit down!! Tha 2nd verse pretty nice; definitely good, consistent, jammin’-type shit! It’s all about tha best music, goin’ down in history!!” My Current Rating: 4.8

04. “In My Zone” feat. Mula Pugh
Looks like it gon be a dope collab! Lol, Mula Pugh in tha buildin’!! >>> Austin Rashaad on tha track, here! Surprised to hear this soundin’ like a newer version of Dae Dae’s “Wat U Mean” (tha beginning)! I’ono if tha auto-tune gon scare me away, here…? Wanna give it a chance…! I really like how you sound on tha 1st verse and hook, here! Definitely sounded dope to pass tha test wit me! And, you keepin’ it goin’ on tha 2nd verse, here (2nd, right? That wasn’t a whole minute of a hook, right? Lol…), soundin’ consistent! I hate to say that you’re, like, a younger Future—I don’t like referrin’ him… But, if I had to say that’s what it sounded like, it sounded like that! Diggin’ tha part, “Sometimes, I’m in anotha world, betta leave me ‘lone;” feel like that, now!! And, we got Mula on tha 2nd verse, soundin’ good; feelin’ his southern style, of course… Ain’t get ta hear him as much as I should (nothin’ sent?), but still, lemme appreciate this… Gotta luv all those high moments durin’ that verse, too! Gotta luv tha anthemic hook!!! Way more positive than negative, here!! My Rating: 4.7

05. “Ain’t Really ‘Bout It” feat. Aramis
I feel like this one gon be pretty tight and excitin’; let’s get it!! >>> Anotha Austin track! It’s crazy to believe that when I first heard of Austin eight years ago, I always thought he’d just be a hidden secret that connected wit me. However, he gettin’ out there, still and more! Gotta luv it, here! Tha hook definitely nice and official! “We keep it 1000!” It’s almost like you’re a newer version of Percy Keith, but in a mixed-breed way! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ great, doin’ tha southern thang! We got Aramis on tha 2nd verse and yeah, props to tha “blunt burnin’;” continuous, 225-type shit, here! My Rating: 4.5

06. Skit
A “skit,” huh? Lol! I’m ready! Bring it!! >>> I have to say, it sounds like an excellent intro!! Luv that faster-soundin’ BR beat!!! Funny that that phone call was all about dat bullshit manipulatin’—“lyin’!!” Argh!!! My Rating: N/A

07. “There For Me” feat. Deezy
I’ono what to expect… If you got one song that’s dedicated to some1, about tha struggle, etc., you betta bring it and have a trippy, melodic vibe to it! Here we go…!! >>> Tha producer “retarded,” here; “Neil On Da Track?” Could it be? This sounds much betta, here, even tho it semi-cheesy wit tha hook? Kinda sounds like a Fetty Wap-type song or somethin’; that’s what it reminds me of… But, a catchy hook, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you and it sound like you vibin’/enjoyin’ this shit! You definitely tha best out now!! Wasn’t sure what to expect wit Deezy on tha feature, here… Tha voice came outta nowhere, so it kinda threw me off track… Even tho it kinda ehh…, it flows nicely. Still, a lil’ weird-soundin’ fa me… My Rating: 4.3

08. “In My Section”
Lovin’ tha title! Can’t wait ta hear it!! Lemme hear this!! >>> Fuck!! It’s a B-Real beat!! Shit definitely sounds fuckin’ pure on tha beat!! Definitely anthemic on tha hook, here!! It’s all about this crazy-ass “section!!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty serious, here! You really holdin’ tha streetz down wit this B-Real-produced track, right chea!! Can’t wait to meet you, Gee Money & B-Real, possibly next month?! Tha following month?! Starstruck!! Excellent job wit tha 1st verse and holdin’ this shit down to tha fullest!! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty dope, too! You definitely spittin’ some real shit fa us—well, y’all—southern celebrities! I’m proud to be a celebrity, too, ya know what I’m sayin’? My Rating: 5.0
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I reviewed this one live!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7ln6-vGaNc

½time: I think this a really pure CD, right chea!! Perfect material fa Baton Rouge ta enjoy and I really hope you blow up, my dude!! Just don’t sell out, tho! Tha production on this CD’s pure as fuck, like colorful crystals! A 4.6 iz what I’m ratin’ it, so far, with tha potential to be a five-star-rated CD, if I rate each song at least a 4.0!! Keep it up!!

09. “Take It There”
Oooooh! Ooooooh!! Ooooooooooooooooooh!!! Luv highs!!! Love how it was before tha ½time, tha last time! Now, it’s right after it! Lol!! Fuckin’ trippy!! Peep out tha review I did for it:

“And, Q-Red doin’ tha beat!! Tha vibe nice and energetic, here, as our Gee holdin’ shit down!! Hook’s fiya!! Definitely anthemic shit fa da Gz!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s definitely serious wit this club/“fight” vibe!! Definitely nice, gutta shit!! Luv hearin’ tha 2nd verse!! It sounds like some ’04 Gucci Mane-type shit! Definitely excellent ta hear!!”

^ That review was off some good green. Hearin’ this on edibles? Sounds like tha world’s continuin’ in a dark, trippy way!! It’s like tha world’s movin’ in such a crazy way!! It feels like tha world’s ending, in a way? Fuckin’ anthemic!!! My Current Rating: 4.9

10. Skit 2
Ooh!! Anotha one!! Hit me wit da skitz!! >>> Diggin’ tha Juve music in tha background; gotta luv your music tastes! That’s why, you have an excellent CD score, here!! Nice job! My Rating: N/A

11. “WTF You Sayin’” feat. Cleezy5
Lookin’ forward ta hearin’, even tho I have a feelin’ this gon be tha song, “Da Truth”, from Cleezy5 & you, from tha Join Da Gang CD… >>> Lol, you know my mind’s in a different spot when I thought I heard this, already!! New shit; definitely feelin’ tha cop-runnin’-soundin’ music/beat?! Fuckin’ pure!! Tha hook’s definitely on-n-poppin’, here!! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit what you bringin’, here! Great job wit that consistent, southern, Baton Rouge-type shit that you bring to tha table!! Hearin’ Cleezy5 on tha 2nd verse and he soundin’ great, here, keepin’ this more anthemic! Street shit, jammin’ shit, iconic shit at its finest!! I luv how tha beat makes me feel like it’s, like, early 2000’s-type southern rap! And, semi-undaground!! Semi!! My Rating: 4.8

12. “Push Yo Shit Back” feat. Blvd Bubba & Sleepy
Oh, man, I’m so excited to know if that weed song gon be on here (“Smell It Thru Tha Bag”)!! We shall see!! Almost got me extra-excited with tha features, here! Can’t wait ta hear!! >>> I love how I creeped up to hit tha play button, here, lol! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s fuckin’ awesome!! Definitely luvin’ this shit, right chea!! Love tha vibe; excellent production, too!! Here you are on tha 1st verse, “loaded,” of course! Of course!! Gotta love it!! Sounds so fuckin’ anthemic wit tha beat, too!! Gotta love that you tha next sensation in Baton Rouge, right now!! Fuckin’ 2017, we get a newer dude holdin’ shit down!! Rappers are alwaqys born!! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear! Gotta luv tha southern vibe and consistent rappin’; dope shit! My Rating: 4.9

13. “Sex You”
Oh, God… I’ono… Lucky #13!! >>> Q…-…R…e…d… doin’ tha beat, lol… Sounds like a nice lil’ interestin’ beat, in its mysterious wayz! Almost thought tha 1st sampled chick on tha hook was Deborah Cox! Lol! Crazy! Definitely dat good, dark R&B vibe, here! Hearin’ “you” on tha 1st verse after about a minute and you really got this “sex” game on lock, here! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it sounds good wit how you keepin’ this continuin’… Holy, plane at tha end!!! My Rating: 4.3

14. “Jack Who (G-Mix)” feat. Spitta, Scotty Cain & BLVD Ree-Up
Gotta luv tha, what I like to call, bonus, right chea!! Here’s what I had to say:

“B-Real in tha intro!! Luv tha, “What up, B-Real?,” intro! I think that should be a future beat tag! I wouldn’t actually mind it, despite me hatin’ most beat tags!! Shit’s sick, here, consistently hit wit tha beat’s gangsta, upliftin’ vibe!! Still nice ta have a 1st verse come through nicely on this! Spitta soundin’ pretty serious on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through like a giant!! Tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ pretty good ta contribute ta this shit, too! Great job, y’all! I’ll put it right behind tha orig.? Tha 4th verse’s soundin’ nice ta hear, too; gotta luv it! All tha way till tha end!!” My Current Rating: 4.8

15. “I’m Still The Same”
Let’s see what dis one gon offer… >>> Q-Red doin’ this beat, here! Sounds like it could be memorable or somethin’? Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty serious wit this shit that we’ve been through! As it’s gettin’ darker out, I feel like it’s gettin’ more and more trippy, like tha world’s slowly endin’ or somethin’! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit this different voice of yours? Really different, pure-soundin’ voice ‘cause of this content? Great job wit tha hook, here, even tho that wasn’t you, lol! What tha hell made me think it was you on tha 1st verse/hook? Crazy! Trippyness!! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice wit how you come through wit it! You strictly layin’ it down like a supastar! I have to admit, I do like when tha beat sounds warped and you even have a lil’ auto-tune/effect goin’ on? Crazy! My Rating: 4.6

16. “Never Change Up (Outro)” feat. Adrian Bagher
Let’s see how we gon end it off! Kinda can’t wait ta hear? >>> Sounds like a pure beat ta end shit off, here… Definitely diggin’ tha beat, here, as it holds it down fa tha south/Baton Rouge, to tha fullest!! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ pretty dope, here! Really holdin’ tha streetz down, here, to tha fullest!! Definitely got shit on lock, boss style, here! Holy, fuck!! Tha hook threw me for a loop!! Ain’t realize it was Dat Boy A, a.k.a. Adrian Bagher, on tha uncredited hook! I’ono who was on tha 1st verse on tha previous song, since it was uncredited, but I know A’s on this one!! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, here, strictly holdin’ life down, to tha fullest!! Soundin’ good on tha outro, here! “R.I.P. Kareem…” My Rating: 4.4

Overall: Wow, what greatness!! Can’t believe I just witnessed such an exciting, excellent review!!! Gee Money, you really got it on lock fa 2017, here!! However, no “Smell It Thru Tha Bag” song?! I must hear and make it a bonus review!! Here I go:

“Smell It Thru The Bag” feat. Cleezy5 & Adrian Bagher
Produced by Q-Red, here! Only uploaded two dayz ago, according to YouTube! >>> Sounds like a pure beat and a fuckin’ excellent CD single artwork! Anotha uncredited A, smh/lol? I know that him! Fuckin’ excellent-soundin’ hook, tho!! Really lovin’ tha content and how A sings it!! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, Gee Money, and it’s soundin’ excellent, gettin’ through this weed life!! I’ono, but I’m a lil’ outta it, so I’m somewhat missin’ content to comment about? Either way, just appreciate what’s goin’ on, right now! Hearin’ Cleezy on tha 2nd verse and he’s spittin’ dem facts! Facts! Props! Such a fuckin’ pure song!!! Gotta fuckin’ love tha title and what it’s about! True shit!! That shit really stanks when it’s around!! And, looka! If you woulda included this song on your mixtape, you woulda gotten an addition of a… My Rating: 5.0 (a ***PERFECT-RATED*** track!!!)

I have to say, if I was to pick between “In My Section” and “Smell It Thru The Bag”, I may…have…to…pick…,…umm…, “In My Section”! It was a close call but I think I like tha B-Real vibe more than tha “Smell It Thru The Bag” content…
