Review #1,964: 5th Ward Weebie "Take It To The Hole"

Reviewed on 6.01.2021 (Review #1,964)

Up early, on this 1st day of June… My goal iz to reach my 2,000th review by June 10, 2021, in honor of it bein’ a decade since my 1,000th review, back on June 10, 2011. I just hate that I have neck pains by lookin’ down at my laptop, as well as tha shit I have to deal with with my lower back… I’ve been exercisin’ as much as I can, consistently, just tryna get back in shape. With that bein’ said, let’s see how this release’ll go: 5th Ward Weebie Take It To The Hole, released on 2000 on South Coast Music Group, entirely produced by Full Pack Music. I don’t feel like goin’ through a bunch of tha file work & researchin’ for tha newer releases, so I’m goin’ with tha older releases I still have yet to review. Start Time: 4:58 AM | End Time: 5:50 AM

Disclaimer:
I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. 01. Intro – New Year’s Eve feat. Kango & Mr. Meana
>>> Lots of “bruh” nouns in tha beginning, here, just off tha 1st 15 seconds; diggin’ it. Likin’ how you holdin’ it down fa tha energy, here; wish you were still alive… My Rating: N/A

02. “Take It To The Hole” feat. Partners-N-Crime
>>> Nice way ta lead inta this track wit tha “Happy New Year!” Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good; beat sounds like a Caribbean-mixed-with-bounce vibe, which iz cool. I’m diggin’ tha chantin’ & continuous energy you bringin’ to tha 1st verse, here; you know what it iz…! Nice 2nd verse, too, as you continuously hold it down fa tha 5-0-4! Nice wit how you added PNC to join you, on tha final verse; good energy, altogether… My Rating: 4.2

03. “I Really Want You” feat. Partners-N-Crime
>>> Anotha nice-soundin’ bounce beat wit that Caribbean-soundin’ vibe; good shit, includin’ tha chick on tha hook. Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds good wit what you’re bringin’ to tha table, of course; nothin’ but energy applied. Got Mista Meana from PNC on tha 2nd verse & it’s cool; can’t deny tha energy, of course…! A lil’ bit of singin’ from Kangol on tha 3rd verse/bridge part, soundin’ nice ta contribute; good shit. My Rating: 3.9

04. Boo-Diddy (Skit) feat. Zilla
>>> Rough in da hood, especially tha deals wit tryna get shit fa a lower price. Luv tha hood dialect, tho; tha hood on top! Alwayz! My Rating: N/A

05. “Watch These Niggas” feat. Zilla
>>> Also known as tha title “Watch’em”; sounds like a good lil’ hook fa tha hood, here… Feelin’ how tha beat comin’ through, as it reminds me of tha 2000’s undaground & mainstream tymes of tha 5-0-4, with quality. Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s all tha way real wit Weebie, of course; good shit! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s pretty nice; just jam to it, basically…! A 3rd verse from you, here, soundin’ nice ta continue, of course; glad tha hood had buku respect fa you, bruh. My Rating: 4.1

06. “Get Naked”
>>> A nice “5th Ward” intro, here, ta hype tha people up… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds great; can’t deny tha energy, of course! Tha horns blowin’ nicely on tha beat, too; gotta have tha energy in your life! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s pretty consistent wit tha chantin’; glad you had tha people always movin’! Long song that’s almost 5 ½ minutes long but at least tha energy neva stops…, literally! My Rating: 4.2

07. “W.S.C.M.G. Radio” (Prime Time)
>>> Premierin’ tha “As The World Turns” track from Prime Time, here; nice intro from tha DJ & good rhymes from Prime… So much repeatin’ of tha “when it comes down to tha come down…,” toward tha end? Still straight, tho. My Rating: 3.8

½tyme: A 4.0-rated release, currently; gotta luv tha consistent energy! Quality energy without any wack vibes to ruin your role!

08. “5th Ward Weebie (Pt. 2)”
>>> More consistency, here, even if it’s 6 ½ minutes long; keep it goin’, Weebie! Really, despite it bein’ 6 ½ minutes long, there’s nothin’ really ta say. It’s just you chantin’ a bunch of shit fa tha wards & shit; gotta respect it! I like how you switched up tha flow after tha 5:00 mark with tha sing-rap style; at least you had it on lock! Lol @ “if tha pussy smell like onions”; pee-to-tha-ewe! My Rating: 4.4

09. “Fuck You Like A Dog” feat. Drama Squad
>>> Sounds like anotha hyped-up beat & hook; good shit, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from tha Drama Squad & it cool; 5-0-4 truly in tha buildin’ wit this one! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from more of tha Drama Squad & it cool, once again; y’all know what tha word “energy” iz! Good way ta move tha crowd wit more of tha Drama Squad on tha 3rd verse, here; gotta get it “out” ‘em, ya heard me?! My Rating: 4.0

10. The Football Game (Skit)
>>> Sounds like a good day, despite me not fuckin’ wit “football.” My Rating: N/A

11. “Got Them Hoes (Off The Heezy)” feat. Zilla
>>> This intro has a ‘90s vibe with that female singin’ in tha beginning. A lil’ slower than all tha energy provided on this album; it’s still nice with that 42 seconds of singin’, tho. Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you, Weebie & it cool; strictly 2000, here. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & I had ta figure out what was goin’ on with my “Got Them Hoes” title vs. which titles were on Discogs. After comparin’ tha lengths of tha tracks, I see that this features Zilla on tha 2nd verse & it sounds nice; good collab. My Rating: 3.7

12. “5th Ward Dog (I’m Out Dat 5th Dog)” feat. Ol’ Red Dogg
>>> Diggin’ this energetic start, between tha beat & tha 1st verse! “Burn like bacon,” huh? Of kiggy-kiggy-course! This collab sounds nice wit Ol’ Red Dogg on tha collab, strictly runnin’ tha 2nd verse fa tha 5-0-4! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse from a “T-Slim” dude? Either way, tha collaboration, overall, sounds dope! Tha 3rd verse fulla so much energy & street vibes! Oh, “two Gs,” huh? Tha Ol’ Red Dogg dude strikes again, on tha track? My Rating: 4.3

13. “W.S.C.M.G. Radio” (Bayou Boy)
>>> Great job wit tha introduction again, W.S.C.M.G. Radio; as far as Bayou Boy, he str8 wit his contributed verse. My Rating: 3.6

14. “Fucking You” feat. Bayou Boy & Partners-N-Crime
>>> Feelin’ tha energy brought to tha beat’s intro, here; let’s git it! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you & it cool; luv your energy at all tymes! Such a shame that you had ta pass…! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds a lil’ hilarious: “Fuckin’ you iz cool but I feel like fuckin’ your friend,” especially tha “your friend” vocal increase, lol. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds str8; just a regular voice flowin’ on this nice beat, basically. Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it’s more of that Weebie/PNC energy that you can’t deny; good shit! Hearin’ tha final 53 seconds & it sounds like tha orgasms are on…! Sounds like quiet orgasms; thought it woulda got more rough? My Rating: 3.9

15. “Outro” feat. Zilla
>>> Lol @ tha “we at tha end of my record, end of my record” chant; you know what it iz, Weebie! Tha contributin’ rhymes are pretty nice, toward tha end, as tha verse starts at 3:41; S/O to Zilla! My Rating: 4.2

Overall: Excellent amount of energy provided, here; good shit! I may’ve liked Ghetto Platinum betta but this still goes off, of course! Great job collaboratin’ wit your 5-0-4 fam, as well; tha energy neva dies, even when you (sadly) die first…!

Reviewed on 12.24.2019 (Review #1,896)

Was runnin’ short on time, yesterday, since I had to rest & make a remix. Now, I’m here; lemme get inta dis: Partners-N-Crime We Be Hound’n, released in 1999 on South Coast Music Group & was produced by Full Pack Music! Was this tha 1st CD I got fa my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon? It coincides with tha date I believe I got my 1st CD for it, back on October 14, 2008! Been a long process! Glad I’m finally gettin’ these done, 11 years later!! Start Time: 6:29 AM | End Time: 7:47 AM

01. Intro
>>> Sounds like a hyped-up intro, here; definitely nice…! My Rating: N/A

02. “We Be Hound’n” feat. Tre-8, Thirsten More Beers & Willya Smoke Somemore
>>> Sounds like tha anthemic vibe to appreciate, here; nice job! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s cool; let’s see how tha verses go… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it cool; all amped up! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s pretty hype; tha “H-O-U-N-D, Hound” part! Nice! Tre-8 on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit some dope shit; definitely (& always) feelin’ his hype!! My Rating: 4.5

03. “17 Shots”
>>> Sounds like a cool lil’ anthem fa tha hood, here, on tha 1st verse & beat…! Tha hook’s pretty hype, here; feelin’ what’s goin’ on… Tha rest of this cool; a lil’ bit of consistency ta spice up tha streetz of tha PNC, here…! My Rating: 4.0

04. “Shake Some’em” feat. Lil’ Keke
>>> Beat sounds like it mixes tha N.O. & H-Town areas together nicely, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s cool; all about a southern party…! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good, here; all about tha shakin’! Keke on tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ nice wit y’all on this track…; good shit…! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it sounds good, as well; all about tha club vibe…! Lots of southern representations, toward tha end…; good shit! My Rating: 4.2

05. “Pussy Right Chere” feat. Kilo
>>> Mo hype fa tha clubz, here…; nice hook! What else can I say? Clubtastic!! Tha 1st verse cool; I digz what be goin’ on, here… Can’t believe this song’s 5:55; so long!! Then again, at least this vibe ain’t boring… Tha 2nd verse has a lil’ bit of R&B flava ta dis bounce vibe…; not bad… Kilo reppin’ nicely wit y’all, here; hyped, hyped, hyped up!! My Rating: 4.1

06. “We Came Here To Party” feat. Bayou Boy & Drama Squad
>>> Pretty hype, once again; sounds more like an anthem fa tha streetz than tha club banga of tha last track… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it cool; sounds like lots of rhymes thrown togetha… Hearin’ tha hook & it cool; more like a block “party”-type vibe, as it mixes between tha club & tha streetz…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds cool; continuous rhymes & vibes! Tha 2nd part of tha 2nd verse sounds nice; all about dat PNC life of a “26”-year-old…! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it str8, as well; feels like these tracks don’t end… Tha 2nd part of tha 3rd verse sounds str8, also; can’t deny it, I guess? My Rating: 4.2

08. “Punks Jump Up & Get Beat Down” feat. Nickel Slick of Drama Squad & Recon
>>> Beat cool/str8; tha 1st verse sounds good, as well… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd part of tha 1st verse, here & it sounds okay… Okay, now, I hear tha hook; pretty nice! Maybe, a lil’ more energy like some of tha previous tracks? Either way, this shit definitely can give you an energy boost, still! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse & it sounds nice; keep reppin’! Tha 2nd part of tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice; startin’ ta feel jammin’ (tha vibe)…! Got a 3rd verse toward tha near-end of this track, keepin’ it gangsta, of course…! My Rating: 3.9

09. “Having Dreams” feat. Mary Jane & Shype
>>> Decent start with a faster-than-usual laidback vibe, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it ain’t bad, here… Mary J on tha 2nd verse, here (not Blige, lol) & it sounds okay; just a story with not much of a flow… Got Shype on tha 3rd verse, here, speakin’ on tha life of a “G”; good shit…! Not tha best vibe fa me but not too bad, overall… My Rating: 3.4

10. Jail Call
>>> “Kango” on da line… Ugh, hearin’ this reminds me of me bein’ locked up, smh! My Rating: N/A

½time: A 4.0-rated CD, so far; good shit! Keep tha hyped-up anthems comin’! They’re soundin’ consistent, fa tha most part…!

11. “A Chance”
>>> Sounds good wit “a” bounce vibe, here; hook’s cool & transitions into “Paid In Full” & shit… This one’s pretty long; I have a feelin’ it gon get boring… Not that boring, tho it turned ta be long & kinda repetitive… Tha mixin’ was nice but it didn’t seem like excitin’ transitionin’… My Rating: 3.7

12. “La La Land” feat. Ché & Lil’ Brotha
>>> Sounds catchy; reminds me of one of those crazy, ‘90s rap tunes, on tha hook & slow beat…! Fast-soundin’ 1st verse, here; far different from how tha hook feels, lol…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it kinda reminds me of Magic, here… Sounds like a good lil’ verse; aggression iz key, here! Tha 3rd verse has some quick rhymes comin’; consistency iz anotha key! My Rating: 4.1

13. Da Phone Call
>>> Sounds like an okay “call;” a PNC “night” comin’…? My Rating: N/A

14. “Tameka & Keisha” feat. Nickel Slick of Drama Squad
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ club-night vibe, here…; catchy hook & beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds cool; typical music fa dem hoes, I guess? Tha 2nd verse sounds good; nice collab, N.O. style…! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse & this shit’s nice; good job… My Rating: 3.8

15. “Why-Do-U-Do Me Like Dat?”
>>> Beat str8, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds like an okay banga… Hearin’ tha hook & it cool; anotha regular-soundin’ banga fa me, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds good wit this “weed” content. Either way, just an okay banga fa me, here… Tha both of y’all on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit y’all weed stories, here; good shit… Nice lil’ southern dialect on tha outro, here…; good shit…! My Rating: 3.8

16. “We Going”
>>> Sounds like a jammin’ lil’ bounce track… Back to tha long tracks, as this one’s 5:17… Sounds like a track to go to all these different wards & shit; nice… Tha singin’ vibe kinda makes this sound catchy; it’s a PNC thang, I guess…? Basically, this whole track’s consistent wit keepin’ tha party goin’; not much ta say… My Rating: 3.8

17. Da Set
>>> Sounds good, on tha streetz of a partner in crime! My Rating: N/A

18. “Black Folks” feat. Stimulus
>>> I’ono, I thank it gon be a boring one, here… Hearin’ tha beginnin’ & it kinda dry, between tha hummin’, this beat & tha calm rappin’… Random transition to tha 1st verse? Sounds tha same to me, here… Hearin’ tha hook & it good fa tha “Black Folks,” here; just a lil’ too dry fa me… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s okay; nothin’ special, tho… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it str8, as well; like I said, it’s only okay… My Rating: 2.8

19. “Be Home In A Minute” feat. Prime Time
>>> A lil’ rough ta hear, here, since this sounds like somethin’ I just went through… Tha beat’s jammin’ & tha hook’s about bein’ on “lockdown,” smh! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds like tha shit you goin’ through, which I can relate; rough! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ good; crazy that this upbeat beat goes wit this jail content! My Rating: 3.9

20. “Sprung” feat. Aldrich (AZ) Zeigler, Nickel Slick, Ray To Ray & Shype
>>> Beat okay/jammin’; anotha weird beat ta jam to… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it okay; got tha hook goin’ on, now & it’s kinda dry fa me… I mean, I get y’all wit tha “Sprung” vibe. It’s just, I’d rather not be in an R&B mood fa these reviewz, here… My Rating: 2.4

Overall: Most of this CD was good & consistent, as far as y’all settin’ a bangin’ vibe. Some of tha dry tracks, I ain’t really feel. Either way, y’all did a nice job & had some good features, as well… For a CD that mainly turned one old CD review into an entire marathon that’s been goin’ on fa 10 ½ years (since May 1, 2009), I have to say, this iz iconic, right?!

Rankings:

15. “Sprung” feat. Aldrich (AZ) Zeigler, Nickel Slick, Ray To Ray & Shype 2.4

Review #1,618: Partners-N-Crime "What'cha Wanna Do?"

Reviewed on 1.31.2017 (Review #1,618)

I don’t have much energy but I do have a lil’ bit of time to get a 2nd review in today… Partners-N-Crime What’cha Wanna Do? iz my next review, released in 1997 on South Coast Music Group & was produced by L. “Precise” Edwards. Start Time: 4:07 PM | End Time: 5:04 PM

01. “What’cha Wanna Do?” feat. Prime & Lil’ Leroy
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ bounce-type beat; hook sounds good ta hear… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and tha rhymes are really consistent wit tha rhymin’! Definitely tight! Tha 2nd verse sounds good ta hear, but tha consistent rhymin’ ain’t like tha 1st verse until tha near-end of tha verse, tho… My Rating: 4.2

02. “Pimp’en The Scene” feat. B Shype
>>> I like this eerie-soundin’ beat; tha 1st verse’s decent… I’ono about this singin’, tho; gotta get used to it? Still, nice lil’ topic about tha “gangsta lean,” tho… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ good, here… As far as tha 3rd verse, it ain’t bad, here… “I don’t know when my day gon come;” I feel tha same way, as far as fame and otha things… Who woulda thought I’d be, like, a celeb, at this point? My Rating: 3.7

03. “Hit Makers” feat. B Shype
>>> Beat sounds cool and jammin’, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it straight… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds good… Tha 2nd verse decent ta hear, here; what else can I say? Nothin’ bad, tho nothin’ sparkin’, here… And, tha 3rd verse, here, sounds decent… My Rating: 3.6

04. “Raw” feat. Tre-8
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ hook wit this screwed hook about “bein’ raw,” straight from “down south;” nice… Hearin’ tha beat and it’s pretty nice/faster! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and there’s a lot goin’ on wit tha rappin’, here; dope… So many rhymes bein’ spit on tha 2nd verse, here!! Definitely A+!! Tre-8 was definitely a master at this undaground shit! So much to review from him and I can’t wait! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s soundin’ nice, too, even tho it stopped, outta nowhere? What a weak way to end a verse!! Only felt like seven bars or somethin’?? My Rating: 4.3

05. “N.O. Block Party” feat. DJ Jubilee
>>> Nice lil’ jammin’ beat, here, strictly ready fa an “N.O. block party!” Should be an excitin’ track, right chea…! Thought this went over nicely for a collab; great job! My Rating: 4.0

06. “Meet Me At The River” feat. Ghetto Twiinz
>>> Beat sounds nice ta hear wit these Twiinz on tha 1st verse, holdin’ it down… Tha hook’s pretty nice; definitely dope voice ta deliver it! Tha 2nd verse’s nice ta hear, here; good gangsta shit! Tha 3rd verse ain’t bad from these Ghetto Twiinz, once again… My Rating: 3.8

07. “Bad M.F.” feat. Prime
>>> Sounds like a good track, here; nice beat and decent hook… Tha 1st verse sounds good ta hear, here; nice job… Tha 2nd verse’s pretty dope, too… Good job wit tha rest of this, too… Tryna multi-task and do multiple things at once, so if I don’t write much, that’s why… My Rating: 3.9

½time: A 3.9-rated CD, so far; diggin’ it, even tho it on a decent level, fa me…

08. “Stole The Ye” feat. Dejon!
>>> Beat’s nice; tha 1st verse’s soundin’ good ta hear… Diggin’ how tha near-end of it sounds wit tha faster rappin’! Tha hook’s dope; ain’t realize what tha “Ye” was, at first, lol… Nice job wit tha 2nd verse, here, keepin’ it goin’… And, keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 3rd verse, soundin’ nice, as well… My Rating: 4.1

09. “These Are Dayz”
>>> Sounds like a catchy hook fa this slow jam; “these are tha dayz of our life…” And, even tha 1st verse: “I’m just walkin’ by my oh-so-lonely self…;” I feel dat! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, here; good job… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s pretty nice to hear about “climbin’ this mountain,” ya dig? My Rating: 3.9

10. “Finer Things In Life” feat. Bayou Boy & B Shype
>>> Beat’s nice and upbeat; hook ain’t bad, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice wit tha rhymes… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ like a good verse, too… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s good, as well; gotta keep it movin’! My Rating: 3.8

11. “Down South” feat. Tre-8
>>> Sounds like a dope beat, even tho it tha same as “Raw”? It’s 15 seconds longer, so, should I consider it a different track? Must be a different mix, like, a Booty Bass Mix, or somethin’? It’s, like, 128 BPM? Actually, it’s 134! I might like this betta than tha previous mix… My Rating: 4.4

12. “Get Your Money Right” feat. Mel & B Shype
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ slower track; decent hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and looka, “Me and my migos;” no “Versace” here, lol! This 16 years prior to ‘em! They were in they diapers, at tha time, lol! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, too…; gotta feel what y’all comin’ through wit… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s soundin’ good ta hear, as well… My Rating: 3.9

13. “Chopped Down” feat. B Shype
>>> Beat sounds nice wit this darker feel… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty catchy, choppin’ “down…” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s all about dat “stankin’,” ya dig? “We gon chop you up like boneless chicken;” ouch!! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice ta hear wit these consistent rhymes, too… And, good job wit tha ending verse, as well; dope shit! My Rating: 4.1

14. “La, La, La” feat. Dee & M. Jane of Set It Off
>>> Hook sounds nice wit this “la-la-la”in’; decent beat, too… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds decent wit this female… And, a female rappin’ on tha 2nd verse, here; decent… Ehh, anotha female verse fa tha 3rd verse? It’s aight… Finally, a male rapper on tha 4th verse, spittin’ some cool rhymes; diggin’ tha “shmokin’” shit… My Rating: 3.5

Overall: Not too bad of a release… It was good but nothin’ really jumped out at me, here, so most of it was on tha decent/above-average level…
