Review #1,153: Percy Campbell "Percy Campbell"

Reviewed on 5.13.2012 (Review #1,153)

Gotta squeeze some reviewz in here! I have 40 hours less each week, ‘til tha end of July, due to this internship goin’ on, so timing’s a lil’ rough, right now… Here goes my review for Percy Campbell Percy Campbell. Start Time: 2:39 PM | End Time: 2:49 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Let Me Live”
Produced by Q-Red. >>> You goin’ real crazy here, Percy; lots of great energy you applyin’, here!! Thumbs up for your consistency wit how you lay down tha vibe on tha track, includin’ your catchy lyrics!! My Rating: 4.6

02. “Respect My Condone”
Produced by Blitz Beats. >>> This iz pretty catchy, too; you really know how ta deliver some catchy-ass, tight-ass Louisiana music, Percy! I’m glad you always come through wit somethin’! Lol @ tha “funeral home” part; whoa at this fast delivery!! Really feelin’ that hook wit tha title! My Rating: 4.5

03. “On Dat Ciroc” Feat. Level
Lol, again? It’s always an A+ for a bonus!! My Current Rating: 4.7

½time: A 4.6-rated CD, currently; nothin’ but dat freshness for a start!!!!!!

04. “Are U Sure” Feat. Adlib
Produced by Jay B. >>> Thought it would be a scary start, but tha vibe of this ain’t that bad, after all; anotha good track from you. Also, good hook from Adlib and his original lyrics. My Rating: 3.8

05. “I Float”
Weren’t you off of Lajah Music Group last year? Wonder how you got back in? I never knew there was such things as ‘re-entering’ in life. Anyway, production from Sinima Beats, here. >>> Likin’ tha really-short length; fits in great for a quick spin! Good job wit tha lyrics, tha “float” theme and again, tha way you create everything into a song! Hearin’ a fade-out at tha end, and it sounds like this iz just a sample than 100% of a song… My Rating: 4.2

06. “Who Can I Run 2”
Produced by Stunna On Da Track. >>> Why does there gotta be a beat tag? :confused Especially, when it’s not a super-tight track? Ugh, I wanna go back to tha dayz where there were NO beat tags!!! Really not my style wit this sample shit in tha hook; people still put pitched samples in songs in 2012? Rhymes are good, though, but not really for me… My Rating: 2.4

Overall: I thought this was really good, except tha wannabe-mainstream song at tha end that didn’t fit my tastes… Glad you know how ta always keep tha jamz comin’, Percy!!

Rankings:

06.       “Who Can I Run 2” 2.4
05.       “Are U Sure” Feat. Adlib 3.8

Review #1,119: Tha Glacier Boy, Y-Kean & Percy Campbell "Grindmode (LMG Compilation: Vol. 1)"

Reviewed on 1.18.2012 (Review #1,119)

This next review iz a three-way combo: Tha Glacier Boy, Y-Kean & Percy Campbell Grindmode (LMG Compilation: Vol. 1)…; really, Percy Campbell wit Lajah Music Group, again? Didn’t expect dat; wonder where dat came about? Start Time: 2:23 PM | End Time: 2:51 PM

© 2012 CD Review (Review #1,119) reviewed on 1.18.2012 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Grind Mode”
Of course, gotta have all three on tha starting song! Odd that tha title of tha mixtape iz a compound word, but this iz two words? >>> I’m likin’ tha new sound, here; feelin’ tha hook, wit two simple words, lol! Good job from Glacier Boy, on tha 1st verse; nice job wit tha consistent rhymes… Percy’s soundin’ good, on tha 2nd verse; consistency here, too… Time fa tha lady, Y-Kean, ta end dis off… Not too bad wit tha rhymes; they’re acceptable… Good job, once again, from Maserati Myers on tha beat! My Rating: 4.3

02. “50’s & 100’s”
Just Tha Glacier Boy, here; G Money Baby—whoeva dat iz—on tha beat… >>> A lil’ good and typical, at tha same time, wit how this beat sounds… Tha content, here, iz pretty typical as fuck, but I don’t seem too bored… Hopefully, when this dude says, “50’s & 100’s,” that he can actually afford my services, which are hella cheap!! We’re talkin’, most are under “50” and even “100”! As for tha rhymes, they sound pretty good; nothin’ ta say negative about this right now… My Rating: 4.2

03. “On Dat Ciroc” Feat. Level
J Hook = EQ? I’m confused, especially since I heard tha sound, too… Also, non-‘remix’? My Current Rating: 4.7

04. “I’m A Hustler”
LOL @ “Produced by: N/A” on tha ID; that’s prolly why DatPiff removed it from tha folder, so lemme hear this sample… >>> SMH @ an old-ass beat like dis, from over seven years ago! Talk about how faggy those dayz were!! But, at least Y-Kean’s consistent! My Rating: 3.8

05. “On, On, On” Feat. MuttaGutta
Izn’t Mutta Gutta’s name not compound? Either way, lookin’ forward to hearin’ some new Glacier Boy music, courtesy of La’Keith on tha beat!! >>> Really likin’ tha hyperness, here; gotta luv it, especially tha production!! Dat Mutta dude’s pretty serious!! Anotha “money” song? Iz that Tha Glacier Boy’s only topics? This 1st verse iz okay, but too many “swag” words, back ta back… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, either, but tha 1st verse was much better ‘cause it actually didn’t have tha same words in it! My Rating: 4.3

06. “Wait A While” Feat. Jamie Clark
Not likin’ tha title; it looks like a remake? La’Keith on tha beat, though. >>> What’s this quiet sound? This has nothin’ ta do wit grindin’, or tha mixtape title, itself! Prolly should’ve left this on an album, instead of a grind mixtape. Yup, I was right about tha remake; iz this even called for, right now? Plus, it sounds like La’Keith turned pussy wit this soft-ass production; revert back to a dude!! Finally, hearin’ Y-Kean rap, and it’s decent, but overall, tha song definitely ain’t fa me! My Rating: 2.3

½time: A 3.9-rated CD, so far; whatever has happened so far, I know dat I’ve been pretty anticipated, and still am!

07. “Here I Go”
Just Percy Campbell on tha track; have I heard this before, courtesy of Blitz Beats? >>> Sounds familiar, but I don’t think I heard it… Cool voice, as always, and tha rhymes are entertainin’, mainly ‘cause of tha voice. Tha beat’s startin’ ta sound non-Louisiana, which it comes into question, right now: iz it really a real beat, or taken offline? So, this was made last month, since you said, “December”? At least it’s on a recent tip. My Rating: 3.7

08. “So High”
Anotha joint by just Percy Campbell; Ice Redd comin’ through wit tha beat, so lemme see if this familiar… Damn, it’s not; how odd wit my weird expectations… >>> Sounds like an okay start; a lil’ soft… LOL, even gave a shout out ta “Hawk”? Guess it’s ‘best friends’, now? And, it’s snowin’ and snowin’ out, right now… Rhymes are okay, but tha hook’s pretty ni—oh yea, this was a music video! That’s how I remember it, from hella long ago, which was good. You already know, you gotta luv this kinda content, no matter how tha beat sounds!! My Current Rating: 4.1

09. “Wut It Do”
Percy Campbellless, here, lol, but La’Keith on tha beat, so let’s see “wut it do!” >>> Sounds like a funny, attitude-type hook/question of tha title; gotta feel it! Y-Kean has an okay 1st verse goin’ on, right now… Time fa tha 2nd verse, wit Glacier Boy… Oh no, automatic-soundin’ rhymes wit tha “money” and tha “bad bitch;” ever rap about bein’ a virgin? Lyrics are startin’ ta sound gay and typical; think I betta end this… My Rating: 3.6

10. “Let’s Toast” Feat. Jamie Clark
A Glacier Boy song, produced by The Synthesis… >>> What’s up wit tha fade-in intro wit a gay-soundin’ beat? Kinda okay, but not grindin’ music… I find it ironic dat Jamie Clark was barely in this ‘til tha end; sounds better than tha previous feature she was on… My Rating: 3.2

11. “Gotta Get Dat Paper” Feat. Adlib
I remember this from two years ago (Percy Campbell’s song wit Y-Kean), produced by Ice Redd. Because I know Adlib a lil’ more, now, it’s not as bad as I thought it was, previously… My Current Rating: 3.0

12. “Act A Asshole” Feat. Q-Red & Young Ready
Of course, J Buc beat, but welcome to Faggville, 2010 style! It took one main person on this song ta ruin everything—one dat invaded my brain over somethin’ free!!! Ugh, 2010, 2009, hate those years!!! Thank God I’ll neva have to hear this song again, but I feel embarrassed to have a really high current rating, still. Either way, that doesn’t mean I’ll even spend one second listenin’ to this again! Was 22, now movin’ on to 24! My Current Rating: 4.8

13. “Can’t See It Through”
Endin’ it wit a Y-Kean song, produced by… not available? Not really lookin’ forward, then. >>> Sounds like an ending song to an album; why iz this on a ‘mixtape’? Really not gettin’ tha rap/sing combination; sounds too weird for a lady, now-a-dayz… Beat’s hella soft, and ain’t even close to my style! My Rating: 1.4

Overall: Well, didn’t turn out to be tha best-soundin’ mixtape; prolly need to take those album cuts off to make it better! But, at least there’s a coupla new jointz in my pocket, now…

Rankings:

12.       “Wait A While” Feat. Jamie Clark 2.3

Review #838: Bro-Bro "Thinkin' Out Loud"

Reviewed on 3.01.2011 (Review #838)

Keepin’ it goin’, Bro-Bro “Thinkin’ Out Loud iz up next, tha actual, full-length CD! Start Time: 6:20 PM | End Time: 7:00 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. Source (Where I Got Tha CD From): Justin via mail

01. “Time Brangs About Changes”
Produced by Mainline; let’s hear dis. >>> Kinda different for a starting song but I like tha way tha production sounds. Tha hook sounds like some shit dat ain’t fa me; should be an ending song? My Rating: 3.4

02. “Back 2 Back” Feat. Beezy Bird
No wonder, it’s DJ B-Real on tha beat ‘cause tha Beezy Bird sample in tha beat! This sounds betta from tha previous joint. So iz this where tha “Back2Back” Puppy sample came from? Tight shit here; definite plus!! Once again, DJ B-Real produced this put Beezy Bird in tha background wit tha “bow, bow” so you know what dat means… he counts as being a part of tha song! Glad I was able to ID one of tha features! I like all tha “izaint” shit; DEFINITELY catchy all tha way through!!! Nice job on tha verses, too! My Current Rating: 4.6

03. “2nite” Feat. Money Bagz
J-Hook beat!! Keepin’ it tight, here; this iz pretty good… LOL, can I ask, “what made you get into drugs?” Like, what was tha age and what made you wanna do it, lol? Nice job wit makin’ some catchy, 225, street music! You teamed up wit Money Bagz here, also wit a “Polo horse,” lol. He did a pretty good job and he’s on tha same level as you, lol. You added some more to tha rest of tha song… My Current Rating: 4.2

04. “Camera” Feat. Tyree Neal
DJ B-Real did this beat as well as a guitar from Tyree, lol. >>> New song fa me and it’s pretty tight fa a slow, smooth song about sex! Good song but a lil’ too many shout outs ta “B-Real”? He does approve or respond back to me so he doesn’t need to be acknowledged x amount of times ‘til he does respond! Good job wit how you doin’ ya thang on tha verses! Tyree sounds like a dude dat would have a Savage face or somethin’, lol; not bad… My Rating: 4.1

05. “Donkey Rope” Feat. Lil’ Mista
Oh, so Mista’s on dis as well as a “rope” in tha title! E.P. on tha track, lol! Sounds kinda funny for a start… Sounds good again wit dis “donkey” shit, lol! Mista’s on tha 2nd verse, here, and I like tha “Polo on my body” start to tha 2nd verse as well as tha “purple in my lungs” shit, too. LOL @ tha random “you a whole asshole” part! My Current Rating: 4.3

06. “So Good”
Anotha Mainline production; anotha short length, too? >>> For a song dat doesn’t sound like I’d really like, it sounds pretty nice wit tha production, once again, as well as how you hold it down! My Rating: 4.0

07. “Get It N” Feat. Level
Self-produced from tha label (Jazzy Records wit their Jazzy Productions); must be anticipatin’ and lol @ tha “n”! >>> Definitely some hot shit!! Level has some hot background shit goin’ on in tha hook, ya dig? Good job wit tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit tha consistent, crazy rhymes!! Speakin’ of crazy rhymes, Level’s doin’ tha damn thang on tha 2nd verse; nothin’ but dat crazy-ass shit!!!!! You’re doin’ tha damn thang on tha 3rd verse wit your spellin’, lol, keepin’ it hot! My Rating: 4.7

08. “It’s Hot”
Here comes mo production from Mainline… >>> Anotha smooth joint dat’s acceptable fa me. LOL @ tha hook; you “(swearin’ dis) hot,” which iz a good perspective. Tha smooth beat makes your rhymes good, easy ta listen to. Nice job wit all your rhymes; always entertainment fa me! My Rating: 4.1

09. “I’m Going Dumb” Feat. G Thang
Anotha Mainline beat wit a different title and a feature, here. >>> This iz different fa him, lol; iz dis ‘pose ta be a surprise or somethin’, lol? Funny…; definitely nice!! G Thang sounds pretty nice. LOL, because tha title iz about havin’ energy, does it have ta immediately be about tha “hoes,” lol? Glad he soundin’ good; surprised he sounds typical fa a newbie (I think, newbie) fa me. My Rating: 4.5

10. “Late Night” Feat. Tyree Neal
Why a missin’ “e” from his name? Big Josh did tha beat… >>> Nothin’ too special for a start but tha beat’s betta than a usual beat I’d hear on somethin’ like dis. Lyrics are not bad; a lil’ mainstream fa me, at times… My Rating: 3.6

½time: I’m rating this CD a 4.2, currently; can it keep up?

11. “Cup Up” Feat. Sam I Am
Jazzy Productions and a tight feature!! >>> LOL, Big Josh actually bein’ a part of tha production, here; pretty nice! What else can you expect from somethin’ like dis? Nothin’ but dat tight shit! Sam’s doin’ a nice job, too; what else can you expect from him, too? Classic dude to tha fullest!!! My Rating: 4.4
EDIT: Neva knew Sam I Am was on this before? I don’t remember; I know I rush these reviewz, at times, ‘cause of so many wit so-little time.

12. “Think It’s A Game” Feat. Lil’ Mista
Good collaboration and title wit Big Josh doin’ tha beat! >>> Speakin’ of “Nu$$ie,” it sounds like some DCF-type shit, here! You doin’ ya thang on tha hook; nothin’ but greatness!! Good job doin’ tha damn thang on tha verses, comin’ through wit tha consistency!! Mista comin’ through wit some mo tight shit on tha 3rd verse! Glad y’all collab’d again! Nothin’ but street shit—in visionin’ it good! My Rating: 4.5

13. “Let It Go” Feat. Tyree Neal
Big Josh beat/Tyree on guitar. How will dis go? >>> Hate tha gayness in tha beginning; makes me feel really uncomfortable! :td No plus on tha hook for me, this time. This beat’s completely stale for me, too. Tha rappin’ ain’t interestin’ fa me, too—maybe for a girl, though. My Rating: 2.2

14. “In My Gangsta” Feat. Tyree Neal
Again, Big Josh beat/Tyree on guitar. But, lol @ tha “e” missin’ again! >>> This iz much betta; likin’ tha “funky” sounds here! Tha hook’s really official wit all tha shit you be doin’ “in (ya) gangsta!” Good job wit tha only verse! Tha length’s pretty nice for my radio show; could throw it in to have room for longer songs! My Rating: 4.6

15. “Stuntin’ On ‘Em” Feat. J Buc
LOL @ tha feature/producer; you gettin’ it in! >>> Sounds like some hot shit for a start; let’s keep it goin’!! LOL @ tha “a bad bitch, no scumbag” part! You deliverin’ tha tight shit to tha fullest! Ooh, tha beat’s soundin’ pretty nice afta 1:00!! Buc appeared on tha hook outta nowhere, doin’ tha damn thang!! What a tight collaboration!! Gotta get buku jointz from dis CD on my radio show!! Nice job continuin’ this tight-ass song, Bro-Bro!! My Rating: 4.6

16. “Don’t Do Me Like Dat” Feat. Big John, Lil’ G & Pooh
More in-house-type production here from tha Fam! >>> Ooh, nice start wit tha lil’ kid and how this iz soundin’! Good job wit how you comin’ through on tha hook; what crazy shit you come up wit!! How you do it, bruh—Bro-Bro, lol? Tha 2nd verse sounded like an older dude, doin’ a nice job, too! Tha 3rd verse I don’t have much ta say; it fits wit tha crew at Jazzy Fam Records. You’re rappin’ on tha 4th verse, keepin’ dis 225 flava comin’ along!! My Rating: 4.3

17. “Real”
Anotha Mainline production… >>> Tha beat’s cool and you keepin’ it “real” fa dis CD and how you come through wit tha tight jamz! A good joint ta mix wit dis CD; gotta have tha content and tha beat from Bro-Bro & Jazzy Fam at all times!! My Rating: 4.2

18. “Never Meant”
An X-Fyle beat! >>> A fade-in intro gives me low anticipation… Tha production’s weak for me; not inta dis Kanye-soundin’ shit. What’s wit tha yucky, Mickey Mouse voice? My Rating: 2.4

19. “Twurk It (Remix)” Feat. Jackie Neal, Tyree Neal & Big Pooh
Mainline on tha beat and lol @ tha missin’ letters in “Tyree” and “Pooh”… A Bounce vibe but mixed wit some weird Soul? I didn’t have much interest in tha beginning but this ain’t too bad, overall; this vibe iz what’s up!! My Current Rating: 3.7

20. “That’s The Way We Roll (Part 2: R.I.P. Jackie Neal, Raful Neal & Ronnie Neal)”
No producer listed; was there any room? Looks like you’re losin’ your family. :( >>> I believe this was tha last joint from tha demo disc? Has ta be since dat was a ‘demo disc’. Unfortunately, I feel tha same; still a 2.7. My Current Rating: 2.7

Overall: Good job wit dis CD; you got tha bangers on lock!

I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. 01. Intro
Startin’ off tha day right! >>> Tha Pink Panther, lol! You ‘bout ta show err-body what you got goin’ on! My Rating: N/A

02. “Kill Diz Shit” Feat. Pounds
Cool, “diz shit” iz on here, lol! You had ta be in tha intro; dumb shit! Whoa, what a HOT hook wit tha consistentness of tha title and “shit” y’all spittin’!! I like, in tha 1st verse, “nigga owe me some money … I’mma hit up his grandma;” dumb shit!! “I leave a nigga dead like tha face on a quarter;” REAL NICE shit!!! :tu Pounds goin’ off on tha 2nd verse wit his “Levi’s” and shit; DEFINITELY luvin’ it, ya dig?!? My Current Rating: 4.5

03. “BMF” Feat. Rick Ross
LOL/SMH @ tha listed feature. >>> Too bad you included tha original part from Ross, too. :td Anyway, here you are on tha 1st verse, spittin’ good/betta rhymes than him! I heard your influences on tha verse, too (accordin’ ta what you said ta me in tha interview); good shit! Tha 2nd verse sounds tight; gotta luv how you come through on tha tracks!! You got dat voice ta hold thangz down to tha fullest!! My Rating: 3.9

04. “99 Problemz” Feat. Lil’ Cali
Ooh, an original production! Didn’t think there was gonna be any on this CD but shout out ta Ice Redd on tha beat!! >>> Sounds like a jam… Thought Cali was on tha hook fa a second but it’s you, lol. You got dat good shit on tha hook; definite plus! Cali’s on tha 1st verse, spittin’ some good shit here. He keeps tha jam soundin’ like a jam, ya dig? You comin’ through wit tha real tight shit on tha 2nd verse. You can have tha same flow on every track; your voice ALWAYS holds it down each and every time, ya feel me?!? Ooh, a long outro here that’s at least a minute long. Oh, tha hook repeated, lol. My Rating: 4.4

05. “One Night Stand”
Yay!! Anotha one—Q-Red production!! He’ll prolly create tha mood fa dis song. >>> I had a feelin’ it was gonna be a lil’ slow on tha beat start. I hear a Carter dude in tha beginning; dat Young Carter? LOL @ this hook; I guess you broke tha “you can have tha same flow” shit I said earlier, lol. Definitely doin’ tha damn thang here! Let’s see what you got on tha 1st verse… LOL, LUV it!!! ROFL, “I’m on them pillz and I’m higher than Uranus;” ROFL!!! :rofl LUV this attitude and perspective, too!! DEFINITELY a CLASSIC verse you spit here wit a CLASSIC attitude!!! Tha 2nd verse pretty good, too; it still keeps dat good mood goin’… My Rating: 4.5

06. Big Jay Speaks
>>> Kinda odd that he had ta stop tha CD just fa dis, lol? I know it was a HAVE-TO ‘cause it was him, lol… My Rating: N/A

07. “Act A Asshole” Feat. Q-Red & Young Ready
Tha J Buc-produced song’s on here, soundin’ REAL GR8 again!!! Tha beat start sounds interestin’ here; good beat!! Tha hook’s definitely focused here and iz tight! You’re on tha 1st verse and it sounds like you’re DEFINITELY havin’ “a grinda” status, ya dig? Q-Red on tha 2nd verse and it sounds cool wit him here! I had my anticipation ready in tha beginning! “Hey, hey, hey, hey! … Ham, not bologna!!” :rofl :rofl Good Ready shit goin’ on here in tha 3rd verse; he that focused, huh? Wish he would focus on me more wit certain thingz. Regardless, I’ll keep pumpin’ tha reviewz out there like it’s nothin’ (same thing wit tha videoz)! My Current Rating: 4.7

08. “Power”
LOL… >>> ROFL @ tha “Tooth Fairy” part; you’d “leave money under [their] pillow,” too? Dumb shit, lol! Nice job throughout this beat, doin’ ya thang on your own version. I like tha “devoured” part. My Rating: 4.0

09. “Rose Gold K Cole” Feat. Parktown Bone
C Rock did tha production here. What’ll this be like? I’m lookin’ forward! >>> Sounds like your regular production dat defines you; this iz catchy… You did ya thang on tha 1st verse; good shit! Bone’s on tha 2nd verse, keepin’ this shit tight; catchy once again! LOL @ your “like havin’ sex without a rubber” part; you crazy wit it! You got dat hook on lock; luv it!! My Rating: 4.3

10. Big Jay Speaks
>>> SMH @ “one-hitta-quittas”… I dunno but I can’t even picture dat. My Rating: N/A

11. “I’m A Dog”
>>> ROFL @ tha Boosie shit! :rofl Even though a jacked beat, I like how you’re applyin’ tha title into what you’re spittin’; good shit! “Bitch, I’m so hot, you can taste tha humidity;” good shit! LOL @ your “zig-zag” shit; interestin’ wit your “hilarious” shit, lol… Good “Nintendo” part, too… Anotha outro from Jay, lol? My Rating: 3.8

12. “My Swagga Right” Feat. Terrorizer & Chris James
Ooh, what’s this (even though I dislike overused “swag” shit now)? Chris James on tha beat, too, and who’s this Terrorizer dude? Thought it was Terror a.k.a. Cheez of Down Bad, lol. >>> Chris James = “This iz (this iz)” beat tag all along? Sounds catchy for what it iz on tha hook, lol… You’re spittin’ some pretty-good shit on tha 1st verse… Tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ pretty nice wit how they’re comin’ through on dis shit! Tha 3rd verse iz pretty good, too; did I not hear Chris James or somethin’? Maybe he was just on tha hook? My Rating: 3.7

13. “On Dat Ciroc” Feat. James Jackson & Level
You know dis J Hook-produced joint OFF THA CHAIN!!! Formerly listed as “remix”… J Hook has tha same beat tag as EQ? Alias? Very hot hook!! Oh, it’s a drink? I thought it was like “see, I rock” or somethin’ like dat, lol! Nice job deliverin’ tha 1st verse to tha fullest, ya dig?!? Newbie James Jackson on tha 2nd verse wit good shit ta offer fa a newbie; I’m feelin’ it! Feelin’ how Level’s comin’ through on tha 3rd verse wit EVERYTHING he spittin’; DEFINITELY luv Level to tha fullest!! My Current Rating: 4.8

14. “Campbell Soup Swagg”
LOL? >>> Oh, I get it. I neva liked how this beat was so slow, yet, a wack-ass original song. Even though this iz pretty wack fa me, I like your flow on this; you keep dat character inside you alive! LOL @ tha “loratabs all blue” part; you crazy wit it, dawg!! I’ll give this a better rating than I expected ‘cause of how you keep your creative side goin’ as well as your character! My Rating: 3.7

15. “Still I Move On”
DatPiff removed, lol? >>> You still comin’ through wit good shit… Too bad I can only hear 30 seconds… My Rating: 3.6

Review #722: Pounds "Necessary Hustlin'"

Reviewed on 12.21.2010 (Review #722)

Tha 3rd review I have today iz Pounds “Necessary Hustlin’; Lajah Music Group in tha buildin’!! Start Time: 3:30 PM | End Time: 4:25 PM

If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Intro” / Young Carter Drop
Ooh, J Hook doin’ tha beat here! Also, Young Carter in tha buildin’ (who friend requested me on Facebook—I thought he was Carter Boy at first, lol)!! Should be GR8 ta hear!! >>> Real cool-soundin’ beat start here! LOL, it’s you doin’ ya thang in tha beginning! Ooh, rappin’! I guess tha drop’s all tha way at tha end; good shit here!! Just dat few seconds alone counts as a song rating and not just an intro, ya dig? Gotta luv your “I’m TELLIN’ ya” part; GR8 accent/voice/style!! Shit yea, Carter at tha end!! My Rating: 4.2

02. “Necessary Hustlin’” Feat. Adlib
Adlib’s features don’t really score dat high fa me so let’s see what happens wit dis song… >>> Dis ain’t a depressin’ song although his notes sound a lil’ depressin’. However, it’s a good hook fa what it iz; good content, too! You sound pretty good on tha 1st verse; dat voice of yours iz, just, GR8!! VERY GOOD 1st verse from you; addin’ dat energy and street shit, at tha same time, to tha track!! Tha 2nd verse sounds real nice—from you; good shit! Tha 3rd hook sounds a lil’ too weird; those high-noted, passionate-felt vocals do not mix wit this song/content. Ugh, tha wining! My Rating: 4.1

03. “Dat’s How I’m Acting” Feat. BluBlack
A beat by Ice Redd; lol, what a collab!! What’ll this sound like? >>> Shit yea, what HOTNESS!!! Feelin’ tha jammin’ vibe and BluBlack REALLY holdin’ down tha hook!! He’s even on tha 1st verse wit tha shit I’ve always luv, luv, LUVED from him!! Sounds like a GR8 single I gon be playin’ fa 2011, ya dig? You’re on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit tha tightness; luv tha voice of yours!! Didn’t think y’all knew each other! My Rating: 4.6

04. “Retarded” Feat. Tic & Sophisticated
This should be good; Pounds (you as LBS?) did tha beat, too! >>> I’m likin’ dis shit; nice and smooth lil’ beat wit a crunk-soundin’ hook! Tha 1st verse’s nice; you know how you bringin’ dis quality music ta my ears!! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good; Tic doin’ tha damn thang, showin’ his ass off, lol! Tha 3rd verse from Sophisticated’s good, too; consistent shit! My Rating: 4.2

05. Tha Drop Off (Skit)
Yay! You got skits on your CD; thumbs up! >>> Some interestin’ shit here; good shit, lol. I luv hearin’ skits and natural, real voices in person, ya dig? My Rating: N/A

06. “Dope Money” Feat. Lil’ Cali
Shit yea, anotha mega collab wit Cali on tha feature and O.B. on tha beat!! >>> Gotta LUV dis 225 shit!!! Tha hook’s DEFINITELY focused and picks up from where tha skit left off!! Shit, you’re REALLY doin’ tha damn thang on tha 1st verse!! Can’t explain HOW GR8 it iz ta hear dis voice of yours deliverin’ REAL HOT street shit!!! Here comes Cali, ready ta rip tha shit outta tha 2nd verse!! Good-ass shit from Cali on tha 2nd verse, ya dig? Young Carter on tha ending, too? Shit yea!! Y’all a REAL GR8 family!! My Rating: 4.5

07. “Weed & Kodene”
How tight will this be wit a title like dis? >>> Feelin’ this anticipatin’ start! Tha beat has a nice feel ta it and just by sayin’ only tha title in tha hook iz REAL TIGHT!! Really luvin’ tha content goin’ on here in tha 1st verse!! I wonder what it’s like ta live tha life of havin’, and buyin’, “weed & kodene”? I can’t picture it… I feel like a free bird wit all tha shit I do and have/have not done in my life. Tha 2nd verse tight, too! Nothin’ but a REAL HOT joint like dis; can’t get enough of your music on this CD!!! My Rating: 4.6

08. “Hard In Tha Paint” Feat. Adlib
Tell me, Waka’d-out singin’ on tha hook, right? You did tha beat so let’s see what’s good. >>> Iz this even tha kinda song that should be slow? Not anotha weird, mixed-up song… Actually, Adlib’s singin’ iz betta on this than tha “Necessary Hustlin’” song. LOL @ you on tha 1st verse; sounds really interestin’, regardless of tha different soundin’ for a “Hard In Tha Paint” title… DEFINITELY TIGHTNESS wit how you come through on tha flow and wit tha shit you spittin’!! Tha 2nd verse just keeps tha content on ‘n’ poppin’; you a fool wit dis one! My Rating: 4.2

½time: You DEFINITELY got yourself a REAL HOT CD right chea, ya dig?!? It’s all about dat HOT Lajah Music Group, presentin’ REAL TIGHT music to tha fullest!! So far, tha CD iz worth 4.3 thanx to all tha ratings combined; keep it up!!!

09. “Kill Diz Shit” Feat. Percy Campbell
Ohh, my dawg Percy on tha feature!! You know where dis goin’…!!! >>> He even had ta be in tha intro, too; dumb shit! :tu You’re goin’ off on tha 2nd verse wit your “Levi’s” and shit; DEFINITELY luvin’ it, ya dig?!? My Rating: 4.5

10. Tha Joke (Skit)
Ooh, anotha skit!! Definitely lookin’ forward ta hearin’ more!!! >>> WHERE DO THESE VOICES COME FROM?!? SO FUCKIN’ GR8!!!!!!!!!! LUV tha whole Southern vibe!!!!! Speakin’ of tha “45 in a 40” part, tha one and only time I witnessed a pulled-over scene was when my agent was drivin’ 40 in a 25, lol. It was weird… My Rating: N/A

11. “On A Jose” Feat. Percy Campbell
Okay, let’s see anotha Percy Campbell collab wit Lil’ Ken on tha beat!! >>> Slow beat start but 100% Southern!! Tha hook’s pretty catchy and you REALLY got it on lock on tha 1st verse here! Showin’ luv ta those locked up and err-thang! Oh, that was tha hook? Sounded pretty long but was DEFINITELY nice no matter how long it was! Tight shit goin’ on in tha 1st verse; all about not wantin’ ta go ta jail and shit. I dunno why people like goin’ ta jail (meanin’ dat you’re not alert enough to evade jail)? Here comes Percy on tha 2nd verse, spittin’ some shit ‘bout AJ (remember what I said in one of tha previous reviewz, Percy? You need an AJ song; this iz progressin’ ta be a good one in one verse)! I’m really likin’ how y’all brought it to tha table on dis one; DEFINITELY catchy!!! My Rating: 4.4

12. “Bird Call” Feat. Young Gregory
Ooh, dat boy Greg on tha feature!! Talk about a character!!! >>> Sounds like a pretty good beat ta rap off of. Greg already spittin’ shit, doin’ his thang on tha 1st verse! This DEFINITELY iz on a REAL NICE street level!! Greg a fool wit tha pill talk! :tu This CD DEFINITELY has a lot of radio show songs fa me; hope I can get a bunch of them on tha air! I know I’ll DEFINITELY do my thang wit it! Tha hook’s pretty cool; I like tha “bird call”, lol! Whoa! As fast as you’re goin’ on tha 2nd verse, I feel like I’m typin’ faster and faster, lol! I like tha lil’ long outro you got here, too! My Rating: 4.3

13. “I Know” Feat. Choppa 1 & Mutt
Keepin’ tha variable collaborations goin’, here are two dudes I fuck wit on tha feature wit you!! >>> Beat sounds like a Pop song but it sounds like you “know what [you’re] doin’” ‘cause tha way y’all come through iz nice! Choppa 1 startin’ dis thang off, doin’ his thang! I like his line about “[his] own shit,” lol; dumb shit!! Mutt sounds pretty good wit his own character/style in tha 2nd verse; good shit! Here you come on tha 3rd verse, even mo gutta; you know what it iz!! You and your “purple”; good shit! I wonder how you even started ta become in luv wit both purples, lol? My Rating: 4.2

14. “Ride Wit Me”
It’s just you; let’s get it! >>> A longer song (4:40); how will it go? Pretty good shit you got goin’ on and tha hook’s not too bad. I dunno if you’ll be able ta handle tha whole 4:4—ooh, “roll up this kush” ta start off tha 2nd verse; dumb shit!! Pretty good job on tha 2nd verse, too, ya dig? You’re talkin’ wit nearly two-and-a-half minutes left? I like your lil’ part but no need ta have tha last two minutes; it makes me dwell into boredism… My Rating: 3.8

15. “So Fresh” Feat. Tic
Anotha Tic feature! >>> Tha hook’s cool; somethin’ simple ta like wit a 225 perspective. You’re comin’ through wit dat greatness in tha 1st verse, though; dumb shit! Tic sounds pretty focused throughout tha 2nd verse, keepin’ tha rhymes consistent! “Purple—purple kush? Shid, I like dat!” :tu My Rating: 4.0

16. “Thinkin’ Of You”
Last song (which I thought was gonna be an outro—maybe, an outro’ll be at tha end of this?) and it’s produced by Ice Redd. How will it turn out fa me? Lemme hear… >>> A beat like this I don’t really go for. I do like that it’s sped up a lil’ but these sample-soundin’ beats are not me at all. I really like dat you’re a BEAST on tha vocals and mic here!! That’s tha plus and it makes tha rhymes in tha verses real nice! Tha hook? Ehh… nothin’ I’d comment on. Glad your voice can keep tha interest in a song alive!! My Rating: 3.9

Overall: You’re a BEAST!! I luv some of these reviewz I be doin’, ya dig?!? Good-ass shit; BUKU surprises!!! You have a SHITLOAD of REAL GR8 features from different labels of BR; thumbs up!!! Keep doin’ tha damn thang; hope you like dis shit!
