Review #1,708: A.R. "Lit Wavy"

Reviewed on 4.24.2017 (Review #1,708)

Time for anotha review. I’m tryin’ to get some current Louisiana CD reviewz outta tha way… A few of these next ones came from tha near-end of last year and I just got them last month… Here goes my review for A.R. Lit Wavy, released on Str8 Up Entertainment & In Your Earhole Productions… Start Time: 8:59 AM | End Time: 9:40 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Lit Wavy”
A C Dot James production, here… >>> Can tell exactly that this came from that night I was at tha Hookah Lounge, meetin’ up wit A.R.; definitely nice! Gotta love tha darker-soundin’ beat and this “lit”-soundin’ hook, ya dig? Also, comin’ through wit tha nice rhymes in tha 1st verse! And, keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, doin’ ya thang, as always! My Rating: 4.5

02. “Go Public”
D. Jackson doin’ tha beat; glad he still around! >>> Sounds good, here; feelin’ how this sounds in tha beat… Hearin’ how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse and it’s cool; nothin’ ta bitch about, of course… Tha hook sounds nice; gotta not “give a fuck how they feel,” ya dig? True…! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice; definitely lovin’ tha consistency! You have consistency in your rhymes, ya dig? Unstoppable! My Rating: 4.3

03. “Woah”
B Easy on this beat… >>> Still sounds unique to me, with how this sounds and how you come through on tha 1st verse wit these rhymes… And, nice wit tha hook and how tha rest of this sounds… Only 31 seconds remaining and you still keepin’ tha rhymes goin’! My Rating: 4.0

04. “That’s On Ya Body”
D. Jackson hookin’ “ya” up wit anotha one; lookin’ forward ta hear…! I have a feelin’ it gon be hyped-up? >>> Yeah, this sounds like a nice lil’ vibe; definitely diggin’ it! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and you holdin’ it down, here; good shit! Sounds like you love your life; I love mines, too, except tha drama at my job!! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice, too; you got this on lock, here! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice, as well! You even made a reference to “Oochie Wally”, too; “that’s” A.R. for “ya!” My Rating: 4.3

05. “Ain’t My Business”
LTK on tha beat… >>> Sounds nice wit this beat; you got tha interestin’ production on lock, here! See, I call this ‘Baton Rouge music,’ regardless! It don’t have to be about poppin’ pillz; it just has to have that sound to it! Nice job wit how you comin’ through on tha hook, here; you know what you doin’! Tha 1st verse’s pretty nice and what you comin’ through with! Always ‘bout dat consistency! Love how I looked back on my blog to see how active you were throughout tha years… Every single year since 2007, you ain’t stop!! I checked somethin’ out of yours each year since 2008! 2016, I ain’t have anything but this CD’s from 2016, so that counts! My Rating: 4.2

06. “Fifty-Thousand”
Secret On Tha Track; wonder how long he can keep a “Secret,” lol? >>> Sounds like a good way to celebrate tha celebrity status? “My level fifty-thousand;” definitely! A smooth, more-laidback beat, here, but still cool… Definitely feelin’ tha 1st verse wit tha “64 Nintendo” shit, when it comes to tha “ol’ skool;” good shit! Definitely feelin’ what you bringin’ to tha table; gotta love tha rhymes! I have to say, there were times where I thought you were just decent and some tracks were ehh/not for me. However, I’m six tracks in and even on this slower shit, I still feel impressed to where it’s definitely poppin’, ya dig? My Rating: 4.1

½time: Definitely impressed, prolly more than tha past! A 4.2-rated CD for tha ½time; that’s dope!! Keep up tha consistent rhymes and err-thang you bringin’ to tha table, here!! Lemme look back at all tha previous ½times you had with me:

Out The Gate Pt. 2, back on 8.15.2009: 3.5
Out The Gate, back on 9.07.2010: 4.0
Tree-House (The Mixtape), back on 3.25.2011: 3.9
A+B+C = Da Formula (Hosted by DJ Chilly Chill), back on 6.05.2011: 4.4

I expected Da Formula one to be tha best but yeah, for a solo project, 4.2’s awesome!

07. “Do You & Good Luck”
Anotha beat from D, here! >>> Sounds good; feelin’ how you deliverin’ these rhymes on tha 1st verse! It’s almost like there’s infinity life in you, here! YB’s Don’t Die Wondering may’ve been tha 1st hard copy CD I got while I was in Louisiana, but your CD’s tha 1st one I got that I neva heard! Glad I paid you $5.00 for it; had to have it and you had to have my money, ya dig? Good hook, too; definitely feelin’ tha hype! Love how you comin’ through on tha 2nd verse, here; consistent shit, here! “Light shinin’ bright, techno;” dope shit! My Rating: 4.4

08. “Flex Flow”
D. Jackson on this one, too! >>> An interestin’ slow track, here; definitely feelin’ tha hook! Love how you deliverin’ tha 1st verse; you sound hiiiiiiiiigh or drunnnnnnnnnnnk here!! Love it!!! Now, tha regular voice of you and it sounds dope, too, wit what ya bringin’… Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice, too; good shit wit what you continuin’ to bring! My Rating: 4.5

09. “Redicoulus”
Interestin’ spellin’, here, with Secret On Tha Track on tha beat… >>> Sounds nice wit this laidback vibe, too; good hook, bro… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds nice wit how you comin’ through wit this night out… Keepin’ it movin’ with tha 2nd verse, too, keepin’ it movin’ wit this bitch… My Rating: 3.7

10. “Super Thugg’n”
D. Jackson doin’ this one, too; what can I expect? >>> Really smooth start, here; let’s see what’s good… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s anotha one dedicated to tha ladies… I’ono why, but I almost thought this was gon sound like a struggle from bein’ a young’n or somethin’… Tha hook ain’t too bad, here, as you’re continuin’ ta make this happen… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, too; gotta respect it! I love how this sounds like it can have my back from my anxiety/bad vibes from my job! My Rating: 3.8

11. “Wannh”
Ooh @ tha title, produced by D. Jackson! >>> Sounds nice fa tha rhymes on tha 1st verse and how this beat sounds… Oh, a mix-up on tha CD, here? Tha back cover says that “Wannh”’s #08 & “Flex Flow”’s #11? This one sounds like that “Wannh”! Glad I caught that! I was gonna say, I almost thought when I heard #08, I was waitin’ for tha “wannh!” And yeah, I believe you performed this, too; I know you love tha “wannh!” When I do that to my co-workers, I wonder what they think, lol? Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice and consistent, too; gotta love ya! My Rating: 4.4

12. “Wake Up”
D. Jackson! >>> I was gonna say, I know I recognize this from my documentary I just put out/that night at tha club! And yeah, I remember this from tha Tree-House mixtape, right? I even remembered tha rating I gave it six years ago; crazy!! Not to mention, I reviewed it exactly six-years-and-one-day before I met you, lol! But yeah, tha review online still… My Current Rating: 4.1

13. “Who Got Shot?”
Endin’ with a D. Jackson beat, here… >>> Gotta luv that it reminds me of that night at tha club! Really feelin’ D’s beat, here! Tha 1st verse’s real tight wit your consistency, here! Tha hook’s definitely tha truth! Yeah, it sux wit what we’re dealin’ with! I had thought it had been quiet for a lil’ while and now, since I went down there, I heard about two shootings: King Joe, on April 4th & now, just Saturday, while I was goin’ through fuckin’ shit at my job, Zoe Realla, smh! I think I really lost it on Saturday; too much bullshit! But yeah, we all gotta be in this together! That’s why, I be comin’ down now to make peace wit err-body & know how valuable y’all are to me! With that bein’ said, keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice, of course! My Rating: 4.4

Overall: I feel bad that I ain’t get to review this two dayz ago… I was goin’ through shit at my job, I stayed later & then, my visit to my homeboy who’s locked up was switched. So, I needed sleep and I neva got in tha mood to peep this out till today. Now, I have to say, you did tha damn thang throughout tha whole thang! Definitely worth my $5.00 in person, ya dig? Gotta love your consistent rhymes and how your vibes in tha tracks make tha production come to life! That’s right! Undaground life that we must always enjoy, ya dig?! Glad I been “rockin’ wit [you] since [you] were a teenager!” October 16, 2008, tha 1st time I heard ya! Beat Flippa’s Street Certified CD! You were 18 at tha time but we ain’t really connect till tha following year or so… Either way, now, I feel real glad I got to meet ya!!

FTLD'z Louisiana Trip #01: 3.26.2017 - 3.29.2017 (Video)

FrankieThaLuckyDog & Lucky Dogz Entertainment Presents FTLD'z Louisiana Trip #01: 3.26.2017 - 3.29.2017.

Since October 11, 2007, Frankie has been fascinated with underground, Louisiana rap music. All his life, he has always wanted to go down to Louisiana and meet up with everyone. Finally, starting on March 26, 2017, his dream came true! Take a look at who and what Frankie encountered over his four dayz in Louisiana:

Day 1: March 26, 2017:
Frankie & his grandma, Grandma Down the Block, arrive in New Orleans, LA at 6:23 PM, rents his first car & his first hotel. Frankie gets his first drive through I-10 and iz amazed at tha scenery. Frankie then pulls up to tha Hookah Lounge in Baton Rouge, going to tha club for tha first time. He meets up with rappers YB (Dirty Dinero Band Camp), Razy Ray (Dirty Dinero Band Camp), A.R. (In Your Earhole Productions), FY JR (Forever Young Entertainment) & Wolfe, as well as manager, Big Steve (formerly of Millionaire Minds Entertainment).

Day 2: March 27, 2017:
Frankie & his grandma take a trip to DJ/promoter, 3 Way Street Radio's Way 3000's house. They encounter Korey, who's with Travis James Entertainment. Way 3000 shows Korey an award he won on Frankie's 3rd Annual Louisiana Awards of 2010. They then head to Way's old store off Gus Young Avenue, they meet up with Dog Entertainment & Cash Out Entertainment's Tech (Mr. Throw Me Back), Po Boy Express to meet up with Macked Out Music's Big Supa & then, they head to DJ Greg Dukes' studio. As they're chillin' outside with song ideas and ways to encounter different weather, they head into tha studio to meet up with SLF EMP Music Group's Max Minelli, No Limit Forever Records & OJ Entertainment's Sam I Am, Dirty South Productions' Mista Matt (South Coast Coalition) & Koo Shot Ya (as well as Highlife Entertainment producer La'Keith, who made a quick appearance). While there, Frankie signs Greg Dukes wall and even gets interviewed by him on camera.

As they continue to drive around, they are stopped by a moving train for at least 10 minutes. Then, after they get a bite to eat at tha catfish store and shop for new clothes, Frankie & grandma head back to tha hotel to recharge. As Frankie doesn't hear from anyone, Frankie randomly falls asleep. Then, New Go Get It Music & Boss Made Music Group rapper, Beezy Bird, meets him outside tha hotel.

Day 3: March 28, 2017:
Frankie & his grandma head back to meet up with Way 3000. Frankie asks Way 3000 about where to find a voodoo doll at, courtesy of Frankie's manager. They drop his grandma off at tha Mall of Louisiana as they head their separate ways, for tha day. Way 3000 takes Frankie down late rappers Racked-Up Ready & Lil' Handy's old neighborhoods. They then pull up to Sundown to meet up with Jungle Muzik Mafia rapper, MFWeeThang, walkin' around tha area.

As Frankie iz shopping for more clothes and on tha hunt for a Baton Rouge hat, him and Way encounter Black Balloon Global rappers, Ray Vicks & Steve O, in tha parking lot of one of tha urban shops. They then meet up at tha barbershop, doin' a drop for Frankie. They continue to go to late rapper, Dope Celebrity Records' Nu$$ie's old block, featuring Nu$$ie's DCF building and passing Nu$$ie's old house. In tha mist of gettin' ready for tha next siting, Frankie encounters one of rapper Quick's connects for a drop. Then, they head to tha Triple S gas station where CD seller, Alton Sterling was killed at.

As Frankie drops Way 3000 off and rides solo, he meets up with Big Faces Entertainment rapper, Lil' Boxx & then, Legal Dope Records producer, Dre Tree Z. Frankie then hops in tha car with Dre Tree Z to head to Morganza to meet up with Legal Dope Records rapper, P.I.R., a rapper who gets a hold of Frankie every day. On tha way there, Frankie smells somethin' unique: a paper plane, as they cross tha bridge to Morganza. P.I.R. iz starstruck by Frankie and appreciates him to tha max.

Day 4: March 29, 2017:
Frankie & his grandma head to New Orleans to find a voodoo doll and meet up with Gangsta Gumbo DJ/promoter, Jimmy the DJ, tha dude who started Frankie's Louisiana connection on October 11, 2007. They meet up in tha VooDoo Mart and get tha voodoo doll.

Tha trip was a huge success for Frankie, overall, and plans on having more trips in tha future. He expects to meet up with everyone he's fucked with in Louisiana...

A Louisianaful Easter (2017)

Me doin' a lil' somethin' dedicated to my peeps in Louisiana fa Easter, 2017. This iz mainly dedicated to those I met in Louisiana during my March 26 - 29, 2017 trip...

FTLD'z Louisiana Trip #01: 3.26.2017 - 3.29.2017

FTLD’z Louisiana Trip #01: 3.26.2017 – 3.29.2017

Since October 11, 2007, I’ve had a fascination with underground, Louisiana rap music, mainly from Baton Rouge. I’ve always wanted to go to Louisiana and meet up wit err-body, but certain obstacles would be in my way. I would continuously ask family members, “Go to Louisiana with me!” They would look at me all judgmental and say, “What’s in Louisiana? It’s dangerous!” In 2010, I tried to go with an underground rapper’s sidekick & he was like, “I’m not going unless you pay for me! My artist’s way bigger than all of them!” That pissed me off and put me in jeopardy of finding some1 to go with ‘cause bein’ autistic, it ain’t easy makin’ friends…

One person I always wanted to go with was my grandma, who has heard damn-near every story I had with Louisiana (getting robbed on November 17, 2011, my radio show, talking to this one, etc.). During my Louisiana connection, she would always have to take care of her mom. On September 19, 2015, her mom passed away & now, she wasn’t trapped with taking care of some1. However, since Baton Rouge producer/rapper, DJ B-Real blocked me on February 5, 2014, I now have a full-time job, working six dayz a week & it’s hard to find coverage.

On January 27, 2017, I opened up to my manager about finally making my debut to Louisiana. She was cool with it & I was able to get tha coverage. I let my grandma know that we can finally make this happen. I chose March 26, 2017 as my debut-in-Louisiana day. March 26 iz my manager’s birthday & she has pushed me into making some interesting, risky, unique decisions. As each day progressed, my anxiety & excitement were both building up, while tryna handle a tough job… I couldn’t believe my dream was finally comin’ true!

On March 25, I flew to Coconut Creek, FL, to meet up with my grandma. However, when I got off my plane at 6:23 PM, my luggage got lost in Charlotte, NC, jeopardizin’ my trip… My flight was scheduled for 6:35 AM tha next day & I ain’t have my luggage. Tha following morning, we had a cab ride scheduled for 4:30 AM… A lack of communication made our cab arrive at 5:22 AM! When we arrived at tha airport, my grandma lost her phone… While lookin’ for tha phone, we missed tha flight; it was rescheduled for 1:35 PM. Her phone wound up bein’ in her car but at this point, will I finally make it to Louisiana? At around 10 AM, American Airlines called us, lettin’ us know that they found my luggage. We got tha luggage and we were finally on our way to Louisiana!

Day 1 in Louisiana: 3.26.2017: At 6:23 PM, I arrived in New Orleans, LA, renting my 1st car & hotel. As I drove an hour to my hotel in Baton Rouge, I’m lookin’ at tha scenery and I’m really impressed with how it looked like a cool jungle. I stayed at tha Hotel Indigo Baton Rouge Downtown hotel and began to hit up peeps that I was in town… Baton Rouge rapper, YB, from tha Forever Young
click, told me to meet him at tha Hookah Lounge nearby; he was performing. I’ve been at bars before, but this was tha 1st time I was at a club… Everything was nice, as I chilled with YB. I showed him birthday luv & got him a hookah to enjoy… We was also kickin’ it wit one of his patnaz, Baton Rouge rapper, Razy Ray. We got pics, drops & watched tha performances happen. One rapper who performed, Baton Rouge rapper, A.R. (Problem Child Entertainment), I had known since 2009.
I approached him when he was done and I was like, “It’s FrankieThaLuckyDog!” He was excited and said, “You been fuckin’ wit me since I was a teenager!” Crazy to know that I was only 20 & he was 18 when I first heard of him, back on Baton Rouge producer/rapper, Beat Flippa’s Street Certified CD on October 16, 2008. He was sellin’ me a CD & I showed him luv by givin’ him $5.00 for tha CD. As I waited for YB to perform, I also ran into Baton Rouge rapper, J.R., from tha Forever Young click & Big Steve, who was Baton Rouge rapper, BluBlack’s old manager. As YB performed, he was like, “I’m sellin’ my new CD fa a dolla…” I was like, “I know you gave me tha CD for free, but you deserve tha dollar! Neva give up! Tha rap game needs you! I need you to continue!!” As I left tha Hookah Lounge, I ran into one more dude, Wolfe, who I ain’t know… He gave me a CD & I have yet to see how he iz…

Day 2 in Louisiana: 3.27.2017: Tha next morning, Gram & I headed to tha Waffle House on College Road in Baton Rouge. After that, during tha 10 AM hour, we hooked up with Baton Rouge DJ/promoter, Way 3000. Way was so happy to see me that when his patna, Corey, affiliated with Baton Rouge labelhead, Travis James, stopped by, Way showed him an award he won from me on my 2010 Louisiana Awards for Louisiana CD Cover Of Tha Year for his Jigg City Rockstars 3(Hosted by Way 3000) mixtape compilation. Way then hopped in tha car & we hit up his old store, located on Gus Young Avenue. He was then gettin’ a hold of artists to try and meet up wit me for my documentary on Louisiana that I was shootin’. We met up wit Baton Rouge rapper, Tech, a.k.a. Mr. Throw Me Back (Dog Entertainment/Cash Out Entertainment) & brought him along for tha ride… They also showed me that tha jiggaz in Baton Rouge no longer have X in ‘em; they have meth in ‘em!

As we continued to drive around BR, we met up wit Baton Rouge rapper, Big Supa (Macked Out Music), formerly of tha Baton Rouge group, Down Bad. We took pics & took one of my favorite pics with WayWe then took a trip to Baton Rouge DJ, Greg Dukes’ studio… As we waited a lil’ while, Dukes & a group of rappers were excited to know that I was in town… Inside tha studio was Baton Rouge rappers Max Minelli (SLF EMP Music Group), Sam I Am (No Limit Forever Records/OJ Entertainment) & Mista Matt of South Coast Coalition (Dirty South Productions). Baton Rouge photographer, Koo Shot Ya, was also present, shootin’ an interview wit Sam I Am. Once tha interview was done, I signed Greg’s wall of signatures. Greg came up with tha idea to get an interview from me, so I told him how dedicated I’ve been for Baton Rouge rap over tha past 10 years. Despite not gettin’ a pic, Baton Rouge producer/rapper, La’Keith (Highlife Entertainment), made an appearance in tha studio, too.

After tha studio session, we headed to Hana’s to check out some new clothes. Tha clothes were pretty dope there, buildin’ my collection. Then, as we were headin’ back to Way’s house, a train was coming. My gram & I ain’t realize how long tha train in Baton Rougetook to cross; lots on one train! After tha train action, I randomly fell asleep, though tryin’ to hit up people in between. Some would answer but none would confirm a time/place to meet. I then finally got a hold of Baton Rouge rapper, Beezy Bird (New Go Get It Music/Boss Made Music Group) & got a pic/drop from him… After Beezy Bird, I wound up meetin’ back up wit Way 3000 at his house for an hour or so & that was that.

Day 3 in Louisiana: 3.28.2017: Tha next day, I went to tha Waffle House & met up with Way 3000 again. This time, he showed me around various hoods, such as Zion City & we went to Sundown, a CD store in Baton Rouge. At Sundown, I met up wit some new rappers from Baton Rouge, includin’ Jungle Muzik Mafias MFWeeThang. I filmed them showin’ they ass off, while I copped a Go Tuff mixtape.

After Sundown, we were gas station-hoppin’ for a Baton Rouge/225 hat. Lil’ did I know, it’s a custom-made hat, so most places ain’t have it. As we pulled up to OMO Streets Wear in Baton Rouge, we seen Baton Rouge rapper, Ray Vicks (Black Balloon Records), pull out. We were told to meet him at tha barbershop, so after I bought more clothes, I went to tha barbershop to meet up wit him. He & his boy showed me luv, gave me a CD & it was nice to encounter him. After Ray Vicks, we headed to tha late Baton Rouge rapper, Nu$$ie’s label building, Dope Celebrity Records. I got pics & we passed Nu$$ie’s house, too.

To go with tha legends, we then headed to tha Triple S gas station, where Baton Rouge CD seller, Alton Sterling, was murdered. As I pulled my camera out, err-body at Triple S thought I was with MTV ‘cause I come from New York. I respected tha compliment & took a few more shots…

Once I headed back to tha hotel & ate dinner, I headed to Sherwood to holla at my boy, Baton Rouge rapper, Lil’ Boxx (Big Faces Entertainment). Me tellin’ him about tha passing of my brother & how I’ve evolved really moved him and he really respects how I’m a “consistent, undefeatable savage,” as I say.

After Boxx, I headed back to tha hotel to meet up with Simmesport, LA producer, Dre Tree Z (Legal Dope Records), who produces for Morganza, LA rapper, P.I.R. (Legal Dope Records). After we met up, he gave me a ride all tha way to Morganza to meet up with P.I.R. & it was nice.
P.I.R. was starstruck to finally meet me, after bein’ connected with me for six years. P.I.R.’s one of tha most-dedicated people I’ve dealt with, as he texts me every day to see what’s good. Once we met up, Dre Tree Z dropped me off at tha hotel. Interesting enough, we smelt a paper plane as we were passin’ tha Audubon Bridge to P.I.R.’s house. To wrap up tha night, I headed back to Way 3000’s crib; he gave me a few CDs. After nearly fallin’ asleep on his chair, I headed back to tha hotel…

Day 4 in Louisiana: 3.29.2017: Our final day in Louisiana featured my gram & I headin’ to New Orleans to see Bourbon Street. I picked up a voodoo doll for my manager, by request, as well as a shirt for one of my favorite co-workers. Then, in tha Voodoo Mart, I met up with Kenner, LA DJ, Jimmy The DJ & I gave him an update on myself. Jimmy’s tha one that started my Louisiana connection & it was nice to finally meet him. After we met him, we headed to Coconut Creek, FL, via car, to kick off tha 2nd ½ of my vacation…

My advice to anyone trying to achieve whatever dream they wanna accomplish: It’s gonna take a while! Years—well, a decade for me!! No matter if you’re tha opposite race as most of tha entire culture you’re passionate about, you ARE accepted! Just know that you have somethin’ in common: tha passion for what y’all love!! It sux that I lost a brother along tha way but that just made me fearless! You’re gonna run into a lotta obstacles along tha way! Don’t give up!! You’re gonna have to spend thousands!! Spend thousands of dayz, hours, etc. just to build your reputation! Here I am, 1,700 CD reviewz later, finally accomplishing my dream of makin’ it to Louisiana! I did it!! And, I’m autistic! I defeated every barrier that was in my way and I’m happier than ever!! You can accomplish your dream! Mine came true at 28 years-old! Now, all I have to do iz get DJ B-Real to unblock me and reconnect with me & I’ll be all complete!

Review #1,442: Black Noise Records Presents "FUPM"

Reviewed on 2.15.2015 (Review #1,442)

Time to get one more review outta tha way before I’m caught up, for now. This next CD’s almost ready to get released; it’s not out, yet. I’m gonna review it now ‘cause I’m in tha middle of a transition point; my grandma finally moved to Florida, two dayz ago (currently, in tha middle of tha move, somewhere in tha Carolinas, right now?)! She’s been wantin’ ta move since 2007 and now, it finally happened! So without further or do, here goes my review for Black Noise Records Presents FUPM, released on Black Noise Records! Tha main roster for Black Noise iz BluBlack, Hannibal, S.O.S. & Sims On Tha Track. Oh yeah, I did tha artwork fa this CD; here goes tha back cover:

Shout out ta me! Despite my hectic schedule, I pulled through ta make it! Start Time: 3:55 PM | End Time: 4:59 PM

Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. BluBlack “I’m ‘Bout My Cheese”
I see there’s some years attached to some of tha files, here… I’ll point out certain years, before 2014… This one’s 2013, FYI, and I recognize it from Blu’s Da Rezurection. If I already reviewed it before, I’m just postin’ tha rating, and I’ll post which CD each one’s from. If I don’t post which CD it’s from, it’s from Blu’s Da Rezurection. My Current Rating: 4.3

02. BluBlack & Hannibal “Never Seen”
Think this one’s familiar… My Current Rating: 4.0

03. A.R. & BluBlack “Five-Foot Something (Dunkin’)”
LOL, it has where I work at in tha title… >>> Interestin’ title wit A.R. doin’ tha intro; nice anticipation wit dat “Dunkin’” part! Real-nice beat, here; definitely diggin’ how it sounds! Really diggin’ how A.R. comin’ through on tha 1st verse a whole lot, especially at 1:06, wit tha, “Boom, boom, ba-ba-boom, ba-boom” shit!! Hearin’ Blu do tha hook and it sounds catchy; just luv tha title! And, Blu on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, spittin’ those real-life rhymes, but ova this catchy-soundin’ beat! Keep hittin’ ‘em, Blu!! My Rating: 4.5

04. Sims On Tha Track, Hannibal & BluBlack “Slow Motion”
>>> Sounds catchy wit Sims & Blu on tha hook, ova this slow-soundin’ beat; nice… Hearin’ a lil’ Kenny G-like, saxophone-soundin’ sample afta tha 1st hook and it sounds good. Here’s Hannibal on tha 1st verse and speakin’ of Dunkin’, “Like a caramel flava;” he nailed it. And, here comes a drawersless Blu on tha 2nd verse, lol, comin’ through as tha most love-makin’ rapper outta Gardere. Nice, but don’t worry, he always thugged out and always keep it street! My Rating: 4.3

05. BluBlack, Gangsta & Hannibal “Who Dat Izz”
Let’s see this collab… >>> Beat sounds nice and upbeat, here, wit a lil’ bit of almost mixing, lol… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds nice; nice title part. Here’s Blu on tha 1st verse and yeah, just like me, “I’m a leader!” Yup, Shift “Leader” at my job! Tomorrow marks seven months; damn, time flew! Good job wit tha 1st verse, Blu; nice and quick… Here comes Gangsta on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, “Shinin’ brighter than a muthafuckin’ chandelier;” sounds great. Even with tha “money” line, this beat makes it feel like it’s nice and tha middle of tha 2000s, before all that “money” rap and image started ruinin’ err-body. And, here’s Hannibal on tha 3rd verse; now, I don’t like his “gettin’ money” rhymes, fa some reason. It don’t flow like Gangsta’s voice does; Hannibal sounds more random… Either way, it’s a nice lil’ joint, here. My Rating: 4.2

06. BluBlack & Hannibal “TUDTD”
My Current Rating: 4.2

07. Sims On Tha Track, Hannibal & BluBlack “In Motion”
From “Slow Motion” to “In Motion”… >>> Not really diggin’ a fade-in beat intro, as well as Sims’ stupid beat tag. And, when I say, “Stupid,” it’s like, really, a-tune? Very outdated! Tha hook sounds good wit this beat, but I think I slightly like tha vibe of “Slow Motion” betta… And, just like that song, we got tha same lineup, wit Hannibal on tha 1st verse, as well…; not bad. Different than that song, we got Sims on tha 2nd verse, here… His rhymes are really random and cocky, at times; not really that special fa me… Blu on tha 3rd verse; sounds much betta wit a catchy flow and as always, “Get my Gardere Lane on!” I luv how they “on dem pillz like they Pac-Man!” Here comes that gay-ass beat tag ta end this song off, smh; so many echoes!! My Rating: 3.8

08. BluBlack & Classik “Good Juug”
A 2007 joint, according to tha file info? >>> I dunno if bounce music really y’all true style? Hook’s just straight fa me; nothin’ special about it. However, I’m likin’ how Blu comin’ through on tha 1st verse wit his “I got a big ol’ dick” chant; catchy… Classik sounds like a lunatic wit his, “Bounce it, biggity bounce it…,” shit… Kinda a random song fa me; nothin’ else ta say… My Rating: 3.6

09. BluBlack, Hannibal & S.O.S. “Money”
My Current Rating: 3.9

10. BluBlack “What Else”
>>> Not sure of tha tag in tha beginning; an online beat? Here’s Blu on tha 1st verse, instantly, and it sounds okay; a lil’ catchy ta anticipate… “Why yo girl tellin’ me ta fuck her like a moose, now;” lol… Talk about a gigantic animal! I’m diggin’ how you say them “pussy niggaz” are “like a meal,” and how you mention, “Cream cheese,” and all dat; nice… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds nice; catchy facts about you, Blu, and how you deliver tha hook! “1080, HD!” Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, too. “I used to be on E, now my gas tank on Fuck It!” Gotta feel dat! So easy ta fill a car up, now, especially a new, 2014 Kia Soul! My Rating: 4.3

½time: Sounds like a nice CD, so far; nothin’ extremely striking fa me, but it’s still nice ta hear, as I collect y’all’s music! Keep it goin’; 4.1 for tha current CD rating!

11. BluBlack “Free For All”
>>> Catchy start from Blu wit this beat!! Nice job wit tha hook; really diggin’ how he bringin’ it! Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ nice, goin’ through “tha projects!” And, “Dreadhead,” iz tha way ta be! Kickin’ off tha 2nd verse wit, “Ol’ P-U-S-S-S-Y,” and nice job shoutin’ out “Disco” and how he, “Got shot.” Tha verse continues ta sound nice, here… My Rating: 4.3

12. Hannibal & BluBlack “Cali To B.R.”
>>> Not sure why these beat intros gotta be quiet and fadin’ in… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds good wit Hannibal. However, I can’t get inta this “money”-obsessed shit, sometimes; it’s still a nice hook, though. I should make one called, “NY To PA?” Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Blu and it sounds catchy; feelin’ tha rhymes ova this undaground-soundin’ beat… Nice endin’ wit, “Like a blue dolphin, I throw back;” gotta luv jiggaz!! Weed, weed cookies, it’s all good!! Hearin’ Hannibal on tha 2nd verse and once again, it sounds good, but I can’t tolerate any rhymes about havin’ everything, at times. Still, tha 2nd ½ of tha verse wasn’t that bad, overall… And, 1:34 on tha outro, here; iz it just gon be tha beat? A nice beat, but why so long? Forgot to fade it out, but y’all gon fade in tha intros? My Rating: 4.2

13. BluBlack & Kidd “Dumb Diggety”
Info says it was ripped from a disc on May 25, 2010 @ 1:18:26 AM… >>> Yeah, this sounds more like tha A+B+C dayz of ’10, just based off of Blu’s voice… Diggin’ tha beat and how he comin’ through on tha hook! LOL, these were back when I would anticipate ta hear a rapper rap about gettin’ high. Now, I can finally get ta that point and just enjoy tha music, instead of anticipatin’ tha moments in tha music! Good shit from Blu on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit his catchier flow! Oh yeah, to point out tha hook, it sounds catchy; gotta keep dem jiggaz alive! No age limit fa dem!! And, keepin’ it goin’ wit Kidd on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit his “throw ‘em back”-type shit; luv it! “Surrounded by weed smokers;” that’s my socialization boost! I feel so much more normal than eva before, thanx ta “weed” and all dat! And, anotha long outro, here? Just random word drops from Blu, here… My Rating: 4.4

14. Hannibal, Reese & Ovey “Scandalous”
Neva heard of tha Ovey dude… >>> Hannibal comin’ through wit some catchy deliveries on tha hook; definitely feelin’ that hook and how tha title’s delivered/rhymed! Tha 1st verse from Hannibal’s good ta hear, too; let’s see what else gon come outta this… Tha 2nd verse’s Reese and he’s keepin’ this goin’ wit some rhymes ta ride this joint ova, fa them “scandalous” ones… Hearin’ tha Ovey dude on tha 3rd verse and it’s a really dry, normal-soundin’ voice; there’s nothin’ special about it… However, tha verse ain’t wack or anything; at least it ain’t “money, money, money!” My Rating: 4.2

15. BluBlack, Hannibal & Sims On Tha Track “What Would U Do”
>>> Anotha fade-in beat intro… Hook’s catchy from Blu; these deliveries are startin’ ta be more ear-catchy! Tha 1st verse’s nice wit all tha fast-soundin’ rappin’ from Blu, here; props! Hannibal on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit a regular-soundn’ delivery; a decent verse, but it rides ova nicely fa this track’s verses… Here’s tha 3rd verse from Sims, comin’ through wit okay rhymes; it straight… My Rating: 4.1

16. BluBlack & Kidd “Straight Up Like That”
From 2013; usin’ this one in tha commercial! >>> Gotta dig your beat tags, at least! Diggin’ tha intro from you, Blu; you tell tha truth! “Tha only BluBlack;” that’s right! One affiliated wit tha Cain Muzik Mafia tried ta go by “Blu Black” (wit a space), but really, you were here way before them! I reviewed ‘em yesterday and I called them out about it, havin’ to call them a different name (e.g., “Lit BlueBlack”). Anyway, gotta dig this hook; definitely catchy wit how you say tha title a lot, Blu! And, tha 1st verse’s nice ta hear ova this great beat, too; good shit, Blu! Kidd on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit a nice verse ta ride ova this track fa Blu… My Rating: 4.3

17. BluBlack & Hannibal “We Dumb”
>>> Here we go wit that gay Sims beat tag in tha beginning… Kickin’ off tha hook wit Blu and a Nu$$ie quote: “I got so much respect, I can loan you some;” not a fan of quotin’ him to this day, but Blu makes it nice and disguised wit his voice. Either way, tha hook’s nice, wit Hannibal joinin’ in, too… Here’s Blu on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit a nice conversation about drugs? Gotta dig it! Nice job on tha verse… Here’s Hannibal on tha 2nd verse; why “paper chasing” gotta be tha priority fa almost every verse? That’ll be tha day where I brag about money on any of my songs! Not ta mention, I go to work off tha clock and clock in at tha same time, every single time! Let alone, yesterday marked my 145th work day in a row, since August 13, 2014! It’s all about consistency and luvin’ your job, not all about tha money! Yeah, tha owner liked that one when my manager showed him my post! Either way, it was an okay verse, but why all tha beat at tha end? Nice ta hear, but too long; should’ve been tha pick fa tha commercial background music, or somethin’… Fuck! Why this song also gotta end wit tha gay-ass Sims beat tag? Let alone, tha echoin’!! My Rating: 4.0

18. BluBlack & D.$.G. “Tooled Up”
From 2013; n.k.a. Ryco Hu$$le, but more normal as D.$.G., before he was afraid of approaching people. >>> Diggin’ tha beat, here, but unfortunately, because of tha fear of approaching people, I gotta let this go in one ear and out tha other! Not to mention, I can’t even get a copy of tha latest mixtape out? Talk about tha lack of value I have; no wonder why I had ta step away from tha music business! Anyway, great, upbeat beat and nice wit Blu on tha 1st verse! “Eat tha cobbler;” yum! Tha hook sounds good and catchy, here, from Blu… Really? This D.$.G. on tha 2nd verse? Don’t sound like it at all; must be an unlisted feature? No comment… Sounds like a bootleg version of Yung Yola or somethin’! Yeah, must be, oddly ‘cause Blu’s on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit some drug-invaded content, here; diggin’ it… My Rating: 4.0

19. BluBlack “Stunt On ‘Em”
Looks really familiar… Okay, I see tha title and it’s from tha Gotta Get It One Way Mixtape Vol. 1 mixtape, from 2008. However, it’s 55 seconds shorter, so lemme see what’s different, here… >>> Yea, this tha same song; hope they took out tha one bitch that was on here, who afraid ta give me B-Real’s #, when I originally had it! Not Cage, tha otha dude! I don’t need ta add any additional feedback; just peep dat Gotta Get It One Way Mixtape Vol. 1 fa more. Oh, no features, officially? Weird, but still good ta re-hear! My Rating: 4.3 (can’t believe I originally rated this, like, a 3.7 or somethin’!)

20. BluBlack “The Realest”
From 2009… >>> Did he say, “Free my nigga, Boosie?” Guess it does go wit tha year… Nice lil’ beat and tha hook sounds good, too… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Blu and it’s not bad; I can fuck wit it… Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too—yeah, this definitely around 2009 ‘cause it an online beat wit dat “Johnny Juliano” dude, or whateva his name was. My Rating: 3.7

21. Hannibal, BluBlack & Ar’Jay “Sleepless Nights”
Endin’ it with one of my titles of one of my songs, from 2010, which I no less was inspired to write tha day after Blu’s 24th birthday. Not to mention, mine’s one second longer than y’all’s! Mine 4:45, y’all’s 4:44! Weird?! However, this a new song fa them. >>> Beat’s okay; kinda quiet like mine, only mine’s more intense. Tha hook sounds okay from Ar’Jay, here; tha content’s aight… Hearin’ Han on tha 1st verse and it’s an okay verse; more on tha female tip? Thought it would’ve been more on a struggle level? Keepin’ it goin’ wit Blu on tha 2nd verse and he sounds good fa these ladies… Still, I ain’t really think this was gon be for tha ladies… Damn, a whole entire minute, at least, of a beat ending? I guess it’s good ta fall asleep to, or get that final fuck in? Okay, anotha hook… My Rating: 3.8

Overall: Nice job wit this CD… I dunno how memorable it’ll be for me, especially at this time of B-Real blocking me, me workin’ full-time, and enjoyin’ my life, but it’s good that y’all keep grindin’! Thanx fa tha opportunities of me doin’ tha commercials and artwork, when tha CD ain’t even out, yet! That’s that real shit and y’all way ahead of all them bitch-made niggaz from Louisiana, who can’t even get a nigga like me music on time, nor can they get me ta do a fuckin’ commercial!
