Review #1,917: Weebie "Show The World"

Reviewed on 12.28.2019 (Review #1,917)

After that long-ass review I did, earlier, it’s now time for a short one! Here goes my next review in my marathon: Weebie Show The World, released in 1999 on Mobo Records & was produced by Jack Da Ripper! This iz 5th Ward Weebie, before he had tha “5th Ward” attached to his name…! Start Time: 9:23 PM | End Time: 9:51 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

Gotta luv it! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice! Gotta luv this kinda rappin’! Doesn’t get any deeper in tha undaground than this!! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it sounds like regular-soundin’ rappin’, compared to tha previous verses… I have to say, it straight; it aight… My Rating: 4.7

11. “Unsolved Murders” feat. More Money Mafia & Souljas Of Sorrow
M.M.M. beat, here…! Lil’ Woodstock & Tory of More Money Mafia, and Rock & Skully Skull of Souljas Of Sorrow! >>> Beat’s nice; gotta feel it! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from this female and it’s soundin’ consistent fa a woman! Nice job! And, a 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse, here, comin’ from one of tha dudes on tha track, doin’ tha damn thang wit this storytellin’! Consistent rappin’, non-stop! Definitely nice ta keep it goin’! And now, we got even more rappin’, strictly keepin’ it gangsta wit a regular-soundin’, southern voice! Luvin’ tha next dude rappin’! Fuckin’ flame-spittin’ rhymes, like tha Graveyard Soldjas!! Fuckin’ lovin’ this!! It’s almost like a roarin’ E-40 or somethin’, at times!! And now, still roarin’ wit this dude wit his crazy-ass!! Luvin’ tha “murder” shit toward tha final minute! It reminds me of tha 1st dude on this CD, with tha, “Yup, yup, yup, yup…,” ya dig? My Rating: 4.8

Review #1,560: Mobo Click "Mobo Click"

Reviewed on 10.02.2016 (Review #1,560)

I’m not really big about reviewin’ compilation CDs, but I decided ta keep this one in my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon. I worked 4 AM – 1:30 PM today and was knocked after yesterday! So, I’m just gettin’ to my one and only review of tha day, now… Mobo Click Mobo Click, released in 1996 on Mobo Records & was produced by Mobo Productions! Mobo, Mobo, Mobo, lol! Start Time: 9:33 PM | End Time: 10:22 PM

Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

>>> A bounce track, here, as Spud’s comin’ through wit his bounce vocals; can’t deny it! Tha hook’s catchy, as those “creepin’” “hoes” be gettin’ out there! My Rating: 4.0

07. M.C. Spud “Bust A Cap”
>>> I’m feelin’ this style a lot more; gangsta shit! Definitely a nice lil’ dark beat and how tha hook sounds pretty funky with this Cee-Lo-like voice! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and yeah, spit dat “gangsta” shit fa dem Gz! Definitely a nice lil’ jam on tha 2nd verse, here; luv when gangsta shit and somewhat-dancin’ shit combines! Nice job wit tha 3rd verse, too; definitely a nice jam! My Rating: 4.2

08. M.C. Spud “Darkside”
>>> Nice with tha “D-A-R-K-S-I-D-E!” Great job with tha hook and this beat ain’t too bad! It’s almost like a weird fusion of tha previous two Spud tracks… Nice job with tha rhymes, here; can’t deny how consistent they are! It’s all about flowin’ nicely fa tha hood, tha streetz, tha clubs, tha listeners & err-body in between err-thang!! My Rating: 4.1

½time: Nice lil’ CD with just Ricky B & M.C. Spud, so far… A 3.9-rated release; let’s keep it goin’!

09. Cheeky Blakk “Twerk Something”
I believe I might’ve heard a Part 2, but I’ono about an original version? >>> Nice chantin’ in tha beginning; all about that 3rd finger, just like I said at work, earlier today! Nice, jammin’ hook, here; bouncin’, bouncin’, bouncin’! Lol @ “ooka, booka!” Then, “smoke a lil’ weed-uh;” nice follow-up line, lol! Didn’t even seem like over six minutes long; props fa holdin’ it down! My Rating: 4.3

10. Cheeky Blakk “Smoke A Lil’ Weed”
>>> Feelin’ this bounce vibe, too; let’s see dem lyrics, lol… Hook’s definitely catchy; gotta luv a high Cheeky, lol! Rhymes ain’t too bad, here; definitely enjoyin’ dat hook! Tha vibe on this track’s definitely on-n-poppin’! I luv that we gon “hop like a frog,” LMAO! My Rating: 4.5

A.K.A. The Everlasting Hitman! My Current Rating: 4.1

13. Hitman “Work That Back”
My Current Rating: 4.2

14. Final Approach “Dime Bag (Radio Version)”
>>> Intro sounds familiar; definitely a nice intro with this drug-type shit! Tha faster vibe in tha beat kicked in at :28! Such a jammin’, dance-rap vibe, almost, only it’s more rap-dance in tha beat and I’m lovin’ tha drug content! Tha 1st verse’s pretty jammin’; kick-ass lyrics and flow!! Definitely diggin’ tha hook; “dime bag”-tastic!! Luv how so many different wards/areas in tha Boot are shmokin’ “a fiya blunt!” I’ll put it this way: Cities!! Lol @ that imitation of that fiend, “Man, I got tha munchies!!” Diggin’ tha outro a lot!! “Where ya weed at, man?” My Rating: 4.7

15. Final Approach “Ganster Soldier”
Anotha track from them!! >>> Beat’s good, tho sometimes plain, at times… Tha 1st verse’s pretty nice; gangstaz y’all are! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice wit how y’all keep tha rhymes comin’! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s keepin’ this track movin’; good shit! My Rating: 4.2

16. Lower Level Organization “Git Some”
Have heard an eight-minute “Get Some” with Dog House Posse, Lil’ Ruthless, M.C. Spud, Ruthless Juveniles & Teno G. However, this one’s only two minutes long. Will this just be with tha LLO? >>> Yeah, this still sounds nice! Great, consistent, rattlin’ rhymes, here! Tha Organization has it on lock!! My Rating: 4.8

Overall: Great job with this compilation, despite it only havin’ a few artists with multiple songs… Mobo Records has a lotta releases on my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon, includin’ tha Mobo Productions! Sure there’s more where that came from, comin’ up!!

Radio Shift #80: "Tha Louisiana Pit" :: Playlist Of 3.31.2012

For those viewing: I haven't been on tha air in 4 weeks. Here's what went down:
  • March 10, 2012: Went to Florida between 3.05.2012 - 3.12.2012.
  • March 17, 2012: Optional show, but I lost my jumpdrive (along wit my two camera cases, video camera & two mini DV tapes) on 3.15.2012, and am still waitin' to get 'em back.
  • March 24, 2012: Went to New York City for a birthday celebration.
And as for this week, well, I had to go back on... Still, I haven't come to terms wit my stuff, yet. I lost most of my current drops, too, so I couldn't play any. Also, what gets me iz that when I see someone fuck me over, I take their shit off my jumpdrive, and put it in my backed-up folder. But, I don't back anything else up? Weird, but I think that's 'cause I neva pictured anything horrible like this happening to me...

01. Intro
Should be pretty grimy! >>> LOL, just an aight beat? My Rating: N/A

02. “Ace-Nitty”
Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ dis! >>> Fuck! This iz from tha “’94”? Damn… I should’ve done more research when I first got these CDs ‘cause tha mp3 info says, “1997,” smh…! This a nice, smooth-soundin’ joint fa tha gangstas; really feelin’ tha content and shit, ya dig? My Rating: 4.4

03. “Mobo Joe”
>>> Good Bounce vs. ‘90s vibe, here; sounds like a nice mix, combined… LOL @ tha title/hook; good sample… Feelin’ tha catchy rhymes throughout this; gotta keep tha gangsta-soundin’ content up! My Rating: 4.2

04. “Walking Threat” Feat. Lil’ Ruthless
>>> This sounds betta for me; feelin’ tha grimy beat start! Tha hook’s pretty nice for a sample, or whateva it iz! Tha 1st verse sounds like a gurl? Pretty gangsta wit this content! Huh? A “Lil’ Ruthless,” too? I know one in Thibodaux, 2009 – present style. Once tha dudes hit tha mic, this shit’s definitely on some pure-ass shit!! Definitely feelin’ tha consistency as well as tha kick-ass content of bein’ on tha streetz!! My Rating: 4.8

05. “Rain Killa”
>>> Anotha gutta-ass-soundin’ song! Content’s definitely 100% here as well as tha pretty nice beat, samples on tha hook, and tha vibe for tha streetz! My Rating: 4.6

06. “Clientel/Always N Power”
Damn, 9:20 on tha length? Iz this two songs? >>> Sounds like a promethazined-up vibe, lol; definitely inta tha slowness, here! Tha hook’s nice and so are tha rhymes, once again, wit this tight content and focused rhymin’!! LOL, a lil’ off-beat before tha “Always N Power” joint, which starts at 4:32? Odd, but you know this shit’s nice! As far as tha “Always N Power” side, feelin’ tha grindin’-type rhymes! Tha hook sounds entertainin’, here, wit this sample goin’ on! I like tha start to tha 2nd verse of this song wit tha “but tha white man won’t hire me;” good job wit tacklin’ tha under-ratedness of how certain white people not givin’ a fuck, sadly! My Rating: 4.7

07. Commercial
>>> Really likin’ tha “dime sacks” intro, which iz catchy as fuck, ya dig? Gotta luv tha dialect and shit. Also, tha seriousness, lol! Just a beat, again? At least there were a few words… My Rating: N/A

½time: You already know, this shit’s kick-ass!! A 4.5-rated CD, currently; good shit!!!!!

08. “Down In Tha Ghetto”
>>> I know I play this on my radio show; tha rhymes are good, tha beat’s good, and tha sample on tha hook’s only aight… My Rating: 4.3

09. “Straight From Tha Woods”
Looks serious; you know I already liked tha album title! >>> Ooh, cricket sounds in tha beginning wit a pretty serious-soundin’ beat!! LOL @ tha off-beat-soundin’ 1st verse, a lil’ bit… “Eatin’ rabbits and squirrels;” Beth Ditto, where are you?! She used ta eat squirrel, lol! Such a lovely lesbian who’s nice and huge and iz proud! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty serious wit tha gun action goin’ on! Really likin’ tha content goin’ on, continuously! Feelin’ tha 3rd verse, too; great voice wit great punchlines ta keep tha rhymes goin’!! Nothin’ but continuous shit, continuin’, ya dig?! My Rating: 4.8

10. “Wanted By 5-0”
Thought I would’ve heard this but it was tha name of tha previous CD I heard from y’all; still lookin’ forward ta hearin’, though! >>> Nice production, good, long length, and consistency goin’ on, here!! LOL, luvin’ tha whole “5-0” theme, here; got tha sirens goin’ on in tha hook and tha good rhymes fa tha streetz, all day!! Now, this iz how you handle a song dat’s 5 ¾ minutes long!! My Rating: 4.7

11. “Bitches On My Dick”
>>> Likin’ tha sound of this smooth beat; nice vibe, here! I like tha “in ya asshole” part… or iz dat “in ya ass, hoe,” lol? This sounds like a funny song wit tha hook… LOL, tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ off-beat, once again; one of tha best CDs for frequent off-beatness, lol? You already know dat as this shit continues, it doesn’t get boring/sour; Lower Level Organization for tha win!! My Rating: 4.5

12. “********”
What tha hell iz this title? >>> Does it have ta do wit “niggaz” ‘cause of tha beginning? Sounds more like a skit but I’ll rate it as a song since there’s only a hook, lol. My Rating: 4.2

13. “Get Some” Feat. Dog House Posse, Lil’ Ruthless, M.C. Spud, Ruthless Juveniles & Teno G
An eight-minute, two-second song, lol? >>> Props ta all tha people y’all introducin’ in tha beginning, such as “Dog House Posse, Ruthless Juveniles,” and more! Sounds like tha rhymes are goin’ off like rounds, here; good shit! “Pass [him] a shovel!!” I see features on Discogs’s website, so I’ll put tha features in this song. Err-body doin’ tha damn thang, here!! Really likin’ tha dude wit tha “run to tha car” rhymes; gotta paint a picture wit tha rhymes!! This should definitely be rated perfect ‘cause of tha length, tha consistency, and all tha great rappers, here, contributin’ nicely to tha track!! Good “I like tha verb ‘cause it’s all about some action” line; punchlines to tha bone!!! Damn, this shit neva ends!! LOL, interestin’ hook outta nowhere, too; “get some, get some, get some!!” My Rating: 5.0

14. Outro
Just a beat, again, lol? >>> Yup… My Rating: N/A

Overall: Good job wit Mobo Joe producin’ tha tracks on here! This definitely was a piece of work, 1994 style!! I guess reviewin’ it in 2011 ain’t too bad, either? I’m not sure how I would’ve been two years ago wit dis but dis definitely iz somethin’ special!! Keep up tha real-great rhymes, kick-ass content, and err-thang, whereva y’all at, now!!!
