01. “Cigar Music” Feat. Grind

Grind production, too. >>> Sounds like a lil’ bit of samplin’ in tha beginning of tha beat (almost like Jade’s “Don’t Walk Away” from tha ‘90s). Damn, another random beat tag (Grind, this time); no need for every producer to have a beat tag… As for this song, this sounds like some good music for tha hot weather. Nice job wit tha hook, too. My Rating: 4.2

>>> Great beat start from Dot Com, but damn, tha beat tag again? You sound good wit how you’re comin’ through on tha mic, here; nice job wit this… Tha rhymes are pretty nice, too; everything’s comin’ inta place, here. My Rating: 4.4

>>> Damn, another Dot Com beat tag! Beginning sounds anticipatin’, but too much mainstream “tight” sample shit goin’ on… Rhymes are real nice, here; lots of sexual shit, outta nowhere, that I’m really feelin’… My Rating: 4.3

Dot Com on tha beat, here. >>> Whateva happened to tha dayz where there were no ta—ahh, I just heard a tag!! I was talkin’ ‘bout tha beginning tag, too; oh, 2004ish dayz, where are you? Anyway, good shit, here; feelin’ tha whole “bananas” shit, as well as these consistent rhymes. My Rating: 4.4

A Jon Boi beat, so maybe, there won’t be a tag…, I hope! >>> A lil’ catchy wit tha beat start, but damn, a “Bayou Boi Ent.” tag; damn you, Rick Ross, and your “Maybach Music” shit! :confused Once again, more consistent shit from you, Fletch; thumbs up fa tha rhymes, once again. My Rating: 4.2

06. “In The Mirror” Feat. Jewell

Dot Com doin’ tha track, again. >>> For a female start, I’m actually likin’ this, a whole lot; just gettin’ betta! No beat tag, no less; no wonder its tightness! Great voice from tha Jewell lady, as well as tha hot beat goin’ on, here… As for your rhymes, they fit nicely on this beat; good job! My Rating: 4.3

07. “Her Persuasion” Feat. Dot Com

D-Rocc beat; looks like an old title? I cleaned my iTunes library out, so I can’t tell, but if it’s new or not, good job from y’all. My Rating: 4.3

Anotha Grind beat, here. >>> Sounds okay; more on tha decent level from tha previous shit on here. Of course, sounds a lil’ betta once ChaYsuh steps up to tha mic… My Rating: 4.1

Dot Com beat. >>> *Rolls eyes at tha first few seconds* A “smoothie” start? I’m likin’ this; how “nice” you are on tha mic, wit tha rhymes, lol. My Rating: 4.2

½time: Lots of consistency, here; can’t complain wit a 4.3 CD rating, currently!!!

10. “Gentlemen’s Club” Feat. Gutta Boy

A Dot Com beat, again; I believe there’s an apostrophe in tha title. >>> Beat tag; ugh… However, it must be a sign for a nice-soundin’ beat? Good job wit tha beat, once again; good job wit tha rhymes, too, Fletch. Not sure who exactly this Gutta Boy dude iz, but it sounds like Boosie… My Rating: 4.0

11. “Heels” Feat. Queen Hillary

Anotha Dot Com track, here; let’s see how you do wit tha queen… >>> Almost sounds familiar, but I don’t believe I’ve seen this title, before… Thumbs up for repeatin’ tha title; makes this joint sound catchy. Your rhymes and flow iz pretty catchy, here; “cinnabon,” lol! Definitely a nice job from you, Fletch! Gotta give props ta tha queen fa make this joint sound even more yummy, lol! My Rating: 4.4

12. “I Did A Lot”

“A lot” iz not a compound word, but Dot Com’s on tha beat, again. >>> Damn, anotha beat tag? Why so many times? We can see tha credits, on tha back cover! Either way, a nice vibe, here; feelin’ how Dot Com attracts tha listener wit this vibe… I like your rhymes, here, Fletch; feelin’ how you have “a lot” goin’ on. My Rating: 4.3

13. “Special Occasion” Feat. Jewell

A lil’ mix-up wit tha title; “ocassion”’s wit two “C”s and one “S”. >>> *Rolls eyes at tha beat tag, again* For a smooth-soundin’ joint, this ain’t that bad; I like how Jewell sounds, once again. Damn, can we think of Summer any quicker than by hearin’ this, lol? My Rating: 3.9

14. “Frozen” Feat. Iceman

Beat Champ beat, this time; betta not be a beat tag! >>> An okay star—ahh, a beat tag!!! Why iz it always a kid?! No one’ll eva come outta Baton Rouge, bein’ a virgin. Y’all talk about bein’ ‘different’ by not makin’ pill music; what about bein’ ‘different’ by not havin’ control of bein’ a virgin? Anyway, an okay-soundin’ beat, here; nothin’ too special… As for tha rhymes, they’re aight; a lil’ on a typical subject, here, wit some of tha rhymes, especially on tha last verse. My Rating: 3.8

15. “Boyz Talkin’” Feat. T-Lynn

A Premeditated Soundz beat; what do we got, here? >>> Nice start wit tha repeatin’ of tha title; almost sounds like “Chunk Up The Deuce”’s beginning sound… Rhymes are nice, here; tha beat’s pretty kick-ass and consistent, too, since you can’t stop it. Ooh, a female by tha name of T-Lynn on tha 3^rd verse, comin’ through wit a nice, female style wit her “true” feelings, lol. My Rating: 4.3

16. “Cold Feet”

Same producer, here. >>> Not really into a fade-in intro; I don’t get that…? This beat sounds a lil’ too soft/mainstream for me; rhymes are okay, but this ain’t 100% my style… My Rating: 3.1

17. “What Does It Do”

Jon Boi beat, here. >>> Oh no, beat tag, but it ain’t that bad. Then again, it’s a beat tag! Beat almost sounds like somethin’ Grind could’ve produced; nice sound, includin’ what you got goin’ on, here. Lol, was that a whistle? Catchy… My Rating: 4.2

18. “Legendary”

Endin’ it wit a Dot Com beat. Damn, tha cover says, “Prod by DotCom,” but it usually says, “Prod by DotCom Beatz;” inconsistent? >>> A lil’ softer, but tha tight sounds are in tha background… Rhymes are aight, but this iz a lil’ boring fa a song, overall; I guess it qualifies for an ending song, though. My Rating: 3.6

J Readdy production, here; “back yard” iz a compound word… >>> Another similar vibe, but again, I’m likin’ this better; has a good, early 2000s vibe… My Rating: 4.0

A solo, produced by a Wayne dude. >>> Background music reminds me a lil’ bit of a Massive Attack song, “Teardrop”, from tha ‘90s; glad that caught my attention… I have to say, I’m really feelin’ this sing-vibe shit goin’ on, wit this kinda beat; nice job… My Rating: 4.2

A Dot Com production, again… >>> High anticipation for tha start ‘cause it sounds like my big dawg, DJ B-Real! :tu Whether it iz or not, I think this sounds good, too; nice topic about how people “change.” You know I always deal wit shit like this, day by day; people don’t respect me for growin’ up! It’s not like I’m in my 30’s! My Rating: 4.3

09. “Hard Times” Feat. Dirty Harry

E.P. beat. >>> Kinda sounds like a jacked beat, based off tha first few seconds, but it sounds good, as an original production. Once again, you’re deliverin’ some catchiness, but after at least 400 dayz, am I eva gonna hear from Dirty Harry and his acknowledgement? Tha length’s really long, here, so it can be a lil’ boring, but tha song ain’t that bad… My Rating: 3.7

10. “A Part Of Me” Feat. Sleepy, Trickie & Young Bleed

Now, I think “apart” iz not a compound word, lol. It looks like a super collaboration, wit Premeditated Soundz on tha beat… >>> Usually, especially now, I wouldn’t go for a kiddie-type hook, but this iz really tight, wit how it sounds…; then again, would it be still remembered a year from now? I think tha verses are good; nice collaboration, especially havin’ Young Bleed on it! Thumbs up ta him and his catchy, consistentness! My Rating: 4.5

Dot Com production, again. >>> Gay-soundin’ hook wit a really weak beat sound; don’t think this iz for me… Tha verses are good, here; really likin’ tha real life shit. I have ta say, this gets some credit from me. My Rating: 2.8

Just as good—well, betta, than tha previous one!! Shit, yea!! Soundin’ pretty tight on tha 1st verse, doin’ tha damn thang, J!! Luv all tha “boi” shit dat fits wit a GR8 flow and tha GR8 label name!! I’d give this a NICE grade if it came to a test; there’s just SOMETHIN’ about J Fletcha dat’s REAL catchy and all tha shit he puts into everythang!! Maybe, it’s tha same producer, lol? So far, pretty catchy wit tha queen on tha start. LOL, thought it was J Fletcha on tha 1st verse (even though Ice introduced himself) but yea, it’s Ice, spittin’ some interestin’ shit wit a catchy flow! Yea!! J Fletcha on tha 2nd verse, gettin’ “treated like an envelope;” dumb shit!! Thought it was a switch-up to tha queen but I believe it just went back to tha hook; interestin’, quick transition. There’s nothin’ negative about tha anticipation, since I know it’s an official, original-produced beat, ya dig? Ooh, tha hook’s ON FIRE!! Feelin’ tha beat sounds and tha quick-ass rhymes from T!! Startin’ thangz off wit Bleed on tha 1st verse, doin’ his thang wit his Southern-ass style! He just keeps it goin’! Gotta luv tha “smokin’ Mary Jane” and then, tha “give it a sniff” (lol) parts!! Here’s tha 2nd verse: T-Tyrant, doin’ his thang to tha fullest! Interestin’ flow, as J takes tha mic from T, lol! DEFINITELY tha shit I can luv; go, J Fletcha!! This was a lil’ ova four minutes? LOL @ tha “bleep” (sayin’ tha word) part. Tha hook’s not bad; sounds catchier towards tha end of it. Mo shit from Fletcha, doin’ a betta job here on tha 2nd verse! I like tha word “easterly” comin’ outta nowhere! LOL, D.O.T. came outta nowhere, spittin’ some good shit! Damn, T-Tyrant doin’ tha damn thang as he emerges outta nowhere!! Keep tha HOTNESS comin’!! Tha REAL consistent, repetitive beat kept this pretty interestin’! My Rating: 4.4

Let’s see what dis gon be like; we got Dot Com back on tha beatz! >>> Again, like tha start of tha last song: so far, an aight song but wit a dry-soundin’ beat. Iz Flewid on tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse? Just okay-soundin’, unfortunately. There’s not much goin’ on in dis beat. Tha song’s more on a soft-side fa me. Okay, as I’m slowly givin’ it chances, you KNOW I luv J Fletcha, so you KNOW he makes thangz pretty catchy on tha hook! Even on tha 2nd verse: this iz like a blessin’ right here!! Interestin’ 1st verse; gave this song life, especially tha hook! LOL, I thought tha song was endin’ all of a sudden. But, tha Queen came outta nowhere wit a harder-soundin’ style on tha mic, lol! A more-exposed soundin’ I’m expectin’ here wit Raz of Grand Hustle on tha beat? Let’s see what’s up… >>> Just like dat “Wasted”-soundin’ song, this sounds more like a mainstream song (almost like dat Gorilla Zoe “Lost” song). Anyway, once again, J Fletcha SAVES THA DAY!!! VERY CATCHY-soundin’ hook here, doin’ tha damn thang!! LOL, D.O.T. has some pretty nice emerges when it comes to startin’ tha verses off!! I guess dat’s ‘cause of his catchy voice! Nice job, ya dig? FINALLY, a day off!! FrankieThaLuckyDog goes in beast-review-mode today!! Most of tha reviewz today no less are gonna be hard copies of CDs I got so thumbs up ta tha REAL people sendin’ me shit in tha mail; keep it comin’!! This 1st CD for today iz from J Fletcha Da Beast, who I found out from Jay Regal. I’m glad to know dat there’s two CDs in this package; tha otha one I’ll review after this one! For now, let’s get into this anticipated project: “Excuse My French (Da Mixtape)”! Oh and yesterday, I discovered dat sayin’ “red stick” in French iz “Baton Rouge,” wit a symbol above tha a, lol! Start Time: 10:25 AM | End Time: 12:02 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! Both say it’s produced by DJ B-Real so thumbs up on tha production credit! I think we gon start tha mixtape off wit a BANG! >>> Tha start almost sounds like Mookie Blakk “Rocky Balboa” wit tha beat (which X-Fyle produced) but this has a nice, RAW style for tha start so far!!! REAL GLAD ta have this music in my hands!! You sound REAL TIGHT on tha hook here and tha beat has a NICE Mouse (“Wipe Me Down”) and Savage (“They Hate My”) vibe to it; REAL GR8 tri-combination!! Then again, it has 4:02 on tha length so let’s see what’s really what’s up! >>> Sounds like tha same producer from tha last song (based off tha tag—Dot Com Beatz). This DEFINITELY iz a HOT beat start!! I’m DEFINITELY feelin’ this one too!! Tha hook DEFINITELY on some HOT-ASS shit!!! REAL NICE hood-feel rhymes in tha 1st verse; you DEFINITELY got tha streetz on lock to tha fullest!!! Tha 2nd verse iz pretty consistent here; it almost sounds like it blended consistently from tha 1st verse; good shit! Even a 3rd verse fit on here and sounds good too; TOO consistent here!!! I usually stereotype these kinda titles but based off this mixtape so far, I think we gon continue tha consistency without bein’ gay!! Dot Com Beatz did tha track again so you KNOW this ain’t gonna disappoint in any way… hopefully! >>> See, I’m not disappointed fa tha start; likin’ this shit fa a start! Anotha REAL GR8 beat for tha start and I like tha background wit tha title repeatin’ as well as you addin’ to tha hook too! Now, it’s remindin’ me of tha DJ Kayslay/Papoose “Alphabetical Slaughter” from 2004!! So many “P’s” to keep up wit; I’m glad you have A SHIT LOAD goin’ on here!!! ½time: Well, they say, “Good things come to those who wait.” Whether or not it took me 1.5 months to get tha chance to review this, I must say dat it’s OFF THA CHAIN!!! VERY, VERY CONSISTENT HERE!!! It makes me LUV what I do fa Baton Rouge EVEN MORE!!! Keep up tha good work wit your FIYA-ASS 4.5 average CD rating for tha ½ point!!!

Representin’ to tha fullest!! I wonder who did this beat? >>> Sounds jacked (from like a year ago); it iz. I gotta think of what it iz but either way, you sound like you’re doin’ yo thang on this! Real nice rhymes goin’ on here in tha 1st verse; you doin’ tha damn thang here!! Even though not an original beat, I’m glad it still fits wit tha vibe on this mixtape! Glad you gonna “take advantage of this opportunity time,” ya dig! I like tha “breaking tha mold/buku people” part; nice shit! You did ya thang on this beat right here to tha fullest! Yes, soundin’ betta so far wit NO A-Tune!! Interestin’ story here about this “crack fiend.” A lyrical song (no less on a jacked beat) that ACTUALLY sounds good and NOT depressin’!! I like how you say tha title; it has tha Baton Rouge formula in it (wit repeatin’ a part/title on tha 2nd ½ of tha hook), no less on a non-BR beat! This tha type of shit dat my Modern Belief/Morality teacher would play to show tha class somethin’; she luvs her Hip-Hop! My Rating: 4.4

Different here… Mittenberg did tha beat and and I don’t know why (I guess ‘cause tha “aro” at tha end of tha title) but tha title almost makes me think it’s gonna be on Lady GaGa’s “Alejandro” beat but that’s a no ‘cause it’s an original production. It looks like “killa” in tha title so shouldn’t there be two l’s? Lemme really find out what’s goin’ on here; lookin’ real forward!!! >>> Sounds like a REAL good start wit you rockin’ to tha beat’s rhythm. Yea, I’ll add an “l” in tha title. I like your rhymin’ here; catchy shit here on this catchy beat! Your production ALWAYS gives me a good vibe!! Ooh, a “5, 4, 3, 2, 1;” what’ll it lead to? LMFAO!!! As for a slow song, it DEFINITELY sounds 100% GR8 here wit tha orgasmish hook! It goes ta show you how ladies REALLY lure out attractions!! You got a lil’ bit of a C-Murder start here on tha 1st verse wit your voice; likin’ this style here!! You KNOW I luv tha explicitness when it’s for tha ladies vs. tha typical “I got hoes, I got hoes” shit! Tha 2nd verse has more consistentness here; CAN’T deny this shit!! Tha 3rd verse must be Whomp, who ALSO iz extremely engaged in this sexual event/song!! DEFINITELY feelin’ what he’s got goin’ on here!! I’m breakin’ out a smile just to show you how FUCKIN’ GLAD I feel dat Dirty Harry’s on this shit!!! And even Dot Com Beatz on tha track so this should be BIG!!! Almost like CD $ale$: Should do BIG numbaz!!!!! >>> I had no clue what to expect for this kinda song but tha beginning sounds like tha keys to Fragma’s “Forever And A Day;” shit yea at all these thoughts!!! REALLY feelin’ tha long beat intro here wit my BIG DAWG Dirty Harry in tha beginning wit his “bwoy” shit!! And speakin’ of him, he starts tha 1st verse off here, doin’ tha damn thang!!! You and this CD are READIN’ MY MIND!!! DEFINITELY some mo gutta-ass shit from my boy Dirty Harry here on tha 1st verse; fuckin’ luv him ta death!!!!! Tha beat DEFINITELY iz CRAZY!!! Prolly one of tha best on here too!! Regardless if there was an identifyable hook or not, it’s REAL HOT fa what it iz!!! Sometimes tha songs wit unidentifyable hooks turn out ta be surprises in tha end!! You doin’ tha damn thang on tha 2nd verse here, spittin’ some hood shit fa this!! You must luv Dirty Harry too, ya dig! Now, at almost three minutes in, I hear tha title and it sounds good on here! You sound betta on tha 3rd verse here, doin’ tha damn thang!! Outro on #18? What’s tha remainin’ two songs? Radio versions? That’s my prediction (or maybe you talkin’ at tha end and one radio version). This iz one of tha more longer ones wit 4:38 on tha length and E.P. iz back on tha track so you KNOW it’s a PLUS wit tha Dirty Harry producer!!! >>> Sounds like one of those kinda celebration-type beats… I wasn’t sure how to accept tha beat at first ‘til I heard dat it’s for “all your dawgs on lockdown;” err-body in jail, hold ya headz!! Free Yung Yola, K.O., Uncle T, D.$.G., Lil’ Boosie & Young Gregory!!! I made an Easter egg fa y’all (and I included you in my 179 Louisiana shout outs eggs, Fletcha)! Tha 1st verse sounds good fa what this song iz, ya dig. You got a good supply here and this iz a pretty good ending song fa this mixtape; *sad voice* can’t believe it’s ending!! Tha 2nd verse has some mo of dat real shit, ya dig! Tha 3rd verse has a motivational step in tha content so thumbs up ta you! You DEFINITELY keepin’ me interested all tha way (without bein’ bored)!! Looks like you were just able to fit this on tha CD (you were runnin’ outta space). Looks like a Dirty Harry kinda title wit tha “boi” in it. *Checks DatPiff* It says bonus and there’s a listing of people… *Checks* Good thing tha DatPiff tracklisting got more descriptive! Let’s see what all y’all got fa this one!! >>> OMG, aww shit!!! ROFL @ tha Plies sample; gonna die laughin’!!! Dot Com Beatz, you a FOOL fa dis one!!!!! You’re on tha 1st verse and you have a Dirty Harry vibe wit your flow here (tha “boi” part) and you doin’ ya thang on this beat! LOL, THA HOOK!!! Now, we got tha queen on tha 2nd verse, continuin’ from where she left off on tha previous feature. Not bad on her verse here; it’s aight. Now, I get ta hear T-Tyrant on a betta level here. He’s on tha 3rd verse and he doin’ tha damn thang!! Glad he has a lil’ bit of Dirty Harry in his flow too; it’s a Dirty Harry world!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Dirty Harry 4 LIFE!!!!! Just you this time on tha official ending/bonus song… Dot Com Beatz handlin’ this so let’s see tha ending!! >>> A lil’ smooth for anotha ending. Soundin’ a lil’ betta wit tha beat at :33. LOL @ this anthem right chea; and yea, they won tha Superbowl, lol! It sounds like it fits New Orleans’s whole Jazz movement. Finally, I’m hearin’ you on tha 1st verse at 1:15 and you have a creative, catchy flow here, lol! DEFINITELY much more upliftin’ here, ya dig!! Tha hook sounds cool too; this whole song iz VERY interestin’!! Tha 2nd verse has more catchy shit here, ya dig. Ooh, a conversation towards tha end… Catchy ending, ya dig! My Rating: 4.4


Overall: Not only did you save me 30 minutes of takin’ silence off tha beginning/endings of each song (which I do for my iPod) but you REALLY did tha DAMN THANG on here!!!!! A bunch of shit surprised me and you just kept it real tha WHOLE WAY ‘ROUND!!! Dirty Harry was tha BIGGEST surprise and I LUV your production, ya dig!!! DEFINITELY a 5* rated CD since all tha ratings were 4.0 and higher!!! I think you’re tha 1st one this year ta do dat!! You DEFINITELY here to stay, fa’eva!!!
