Review #1,723: MFWeeThang "MFWeeThang (Promo Disc)"

Reviewed on 5.14.2017 (Review #1,723)

Not too much goin’ on durin’ this Mother’s Day, so I finna catch up on some reviewz… Here goes a dude I met at tha Sundown in Baton Rouge on March 28, 2017: MFWeeThang, some unsigned hype, with a random promo disc I just titled MFWeeThang (Promo Disc); can’t wait ta hear! Heard a track called “My Section” from him off that Go Tuff mixtape that I received from Sundown’s CD shop and it’s dope! Can’t wait to hear more! I don’t have any titles or artwork, so we’ll see what’s good, here… Start Time: 4:20 PM | End Time: 5:18 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Heaven Or Hell (Freestyle)”
>>> “See [you] wit [your] clothes off” ta start this off? Also, an instant start? Guess we got those instant starts, here… And, a “Heaven Or Hell” beat; guess I’ll call this “Heaven Or Hell (Freestyle)”? Ain’t even recognize tha beat ‘cause of how tha pitch iz increased, during tha beginning, lol… Hearin’ tha verse and it sounds nice; good shit! Hope there’s some original content from you, tho… My Rating: 3.6

02. “Bad Pack”
>>> “Extended Cigarillo”? Dope beginning and nice beat, here… Couldn’t detect tha producer but almost thought it was Haney… Tha hook sounds like it’s sayin’, “Bad Pack”? Maybe, I’ll call it that… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s dope; good shit! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and yeah, can definitely feel this! In my documentary on my Louisiana trip, you said you couldn’t handle tha jiggaz, which are now made with meth instead of “E”; crazy! Crazy how that lands people “in tha hospital;” crazy shit! But yeah, definitely feelin’ tha hustle, here! Now, tha 2nd verse wit tha “extended cigarillo” shit; good shit! Luvin’ how tha beat sounds pretty fast and dope; you got a good taste! Too bad I ain’t get ya numba while I was down there, but I got pics…
Good shit; keep up tha great work!! My Rating: 4.5

03. “1 Hunnid (Freestyle)”
>>> Don’t think I gon feel this; not anticipatin’ tha auto-tune… And, smh @ tha jacked K Camp beat… Should I just call it “1 Hunnid (Freestyle)”? No comment on tha 1st verse and hook, here… Just randomness on tha 2nd verse, here; can’t feel it… And, an outro of 1:11, huh? Ick! There’s 30 seconds of silence! My Rating: 1.0

04. “Money Good”
>>> Likin’ tha intro; will I appreciate this? Gotta luv tha crazy voice of yours! A Deezy dude on this beat; at least it’s original and no a-tune! “WeeTV” iz tha “TV!” Hearin’ tha hook and ehh, can’t fuck wit this “money good” shit… I seen you throw down your money at Sundown and it was about $300 or so… I make that in tips alone at my job in only two weeks, without a paycheck! Nothin’ special to flash; that’s why I don’t fuck wit that “money” music! I’m just sayin’! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s decent; just random rhymes… I feel like I can appreciate you more if it was more on Baton Rouge-type content than “money” shit that anyone can spit! Luvin’ how you sound on tha 2nd verse wit your crazy-ass! “Gotta go to Sun…;” Sundown? My Rating: 3.2

05. “Trapped Out” feat. Maintain
>>> Tha start sounds like a Gucci Mane sample or somethin’? Volume’s pretty loud, here… Sounds like it gon be anotha “money” track? I’ll call this one “Trapped Out”? Hook a lil’ betta than tha previous hook; reminds me of old-ass Gucci shit… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ betta, this time… Anotha dude on tha 2nd verse, here; can’t tell who it iz… Hearin’ them and it sounds like a good feature… I can see a mixtape project between y’all two comin’ out or somethin’? Somethin’ about hearin’ your first feature? Tha dude on tha 3rd verse sounds like anotha feature, too; good shit… This “BR” hustla doin’ his thang wit tha jiggaz and shit; good shit… Not that I recognize tha voice but I recognize tha name from tha Go Tuff mixtape: Tha 3rd verse iz from Maintain! My Rating: 4.3

06. “Rags To Riches”
>>> Not feelin’ tha start, as it sounds like a jacked beat or somethin’… Funny how this sappy start ain’t rewind or nothin’, as an instant start… I’ll call this “Rags To Riches”; an okay hook, here… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds like a day in tha life of tha home of WeeThang, here, in my opinion… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, here; can’t complain too much… Overall, a decent track; nothin’ much else ta say… My Rating: 3.5

07. “Shit No” feat. Silverleaf
>>> Sounds like a catchy lil’ Baton Rouge track on tha hook and semi-eerie beat, here; luvin’ tha “shit no!” I’ll call it “Shit No”? Sounds like a catchy flow on tha 1st verse, here; definitely nice! Great job makin’ some mo quality-soundin’ Rouge music! We got a feature on tha 2nd verse, here… When they said, “Silverleaf,” to me, that reminded me of tha street or somethin’ that we were on? Then again, I know you said in my documentary, “Get Silverleaf;” must be a rapper, too? I’ll give him credit… Nice lil’ verse; gotta luv emergin’ from tha Rouge!! My Rating: 4.2

08. “Do Ya Thang” feat. Money Bagz & Sheppard
>>> Time fa Trel It’z A Hit on this beat! Don’t know tha female on tha 1st verse, tho, but she decent… Guess I’ll call this “Do Ya Thang”? Tha hook catchy; luvin’ tha beat sounds from Trel, here! Sounds on lock, here!! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s tha same dude from tha hook… Don’t recognize tha feature, this time, but decent lil’ verse… Don’t think I recognize tha 3rd verse but tha closest I can think of who it iz iz Money Bagz; I’ll just say it’s him? Sounded like a nice verse… Hearin’ tha 4th verse and it’s you, comin’ through wit some nice, southern-type shit… A 5th verse, here, soundin’ like someone on this CD, already? Heard “Sheppard,” but can’t 100% say it’s tha “Sheppard” I know? I don’t know much, here… Needless to say, nice job wit this one… My Rating: 3.8

09. “My Section” feat. Maintain
>>> Sounds like “My Section”; easily recognized this one! And, here was tha review for it I did:

Beat sounds nice fa tha Rouge; tha hook’s pretty nice, too… And, 1st time hearin’ WeeThang on tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ nice…; sounds like a dope track… Once I met dude, I knew he had some sorta future, so I wish tha best of success fa him! Keepin’ it movin’ wit anotha WeeThang verse, here, soundin’ dope; good shit! Makes me wanna get back to tha Rouge ASAP! I hate that it’s $600 for a plane ticket, smh; why so much? Money ain’t an issue but why can’t it be, like, $400 or somethin’, tha most? My Current Rating: 4.5

10. “Face Goin’ Good” feat. Money Bagz
>>> I heard Money Bagz in tha beginning, here; good intro and this beat! That same dude that I thought was Haney iz on this beat, right chea! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice wit how this “face goin’ good;” should I call it “Face Goin’ Good”? Nice hook; gotta luv these tracks! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and hear comes $$$!! Nice job, Money Bagz, as you’re always reppin’ nicely on tha tracks fa tha undaground of tha Rouge! And now, here you are on tha 2nd verse, soundin’ nice, holdin’ shit down… My Rating: 4.2

½time: Started off a lil’ iffy wit tha jacked beats and auto-tune but then, tha original content that I’m diggin’ came ta hit my speakaz! Only a 3.7-rated CD, currently… Not too big about tha “money” tracks but otha than that, quality Rouge music at its finest!

11. “The Game Belongs To Me (Freestyle)” feat. Sheppard
>>> Back to tha jacked beats (“The Game Belongs To Me”); damn! It’s 11 years-old, now? I luv how tha quality was shitty when tha original hook played but then, tha quality was normal once tha 1st verse hit… Sounds like that dude said, “Sheppard,” again; just gonna consider it’s him… As far as tha verse, it aight; no interest in this jacked-beat shit, tho… And now, anotha feature on tha 2nd verse, here… Don’t recognize tha voice, tho… Now, you on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ decent, too… My Rating: 3.1

12. “Hood Bitch” feat. Sheppard
>>> Sounds like a jacked beat but I can’t think of what it iz… Almost sounds like Future’s shit? Don’t recognize tha producer’s ID but honestly, I thought this was a jacked beat by tha typical sound, smh… I’ll call this “Hood Bitch”; betta-than-average hook, even tho it kinda plain? Dude on tha 1st verse sounds kinda wack wit tha lyrics, here… Dude from “Oaktown”, here—oh, it’s that “Sheppard” dude… And, only one verse, here; bleh… Oh wait, a lil’ verse from you toward tha end; a lil’ short… My Rating: 2.9

13. “Dirty Muthafucka”
>>> Sounds like Lil’ Phat on tha hook? “Dirty Muthafucka” as this title? Feelin’ tha groovy vibe on tha hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse—only verse, accordin’ to this length—and it’s decent wit what you’re bringin’… Make a documentary yourself: A Day In Da Life of WeeThang! My Rating: 3.7

14. “First Shot”
>>> Didn’t recognize tha beat tag in tha beginning… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds like it gon be energetic or somethin’… Multiple shots, here; dope hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and tha aggressive dude sounds nice, here… Consistent rhymes wit tha “rest in peace to Rockafella; I’mma rock a fella” shit, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice, here; gotta keep it movin’… Not really a title to pick but I’mma just pick “First Shot”, since it’s “tha first shot… Tha third shot… Tha fourth shot… Tha fifth shot…” And, we got you on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ nice wit this gangsta shit from tha Rouge; good shit! My Rating: 3.9

15. “Hello World”
>>> Sounds like what would be tha first song you’d record? Just by hearin’ tha quality of this… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you straight outta “Glen Oaks;” good shit! “Jungle Muzik Mafia;” that your label? I ain’t even know tha label and couldn’t find anything… Tha last two words you said on this was, “Hello World;” I’ll just call it that, lol… My Rating: 3.8
EDIT: Not 100% sure about tha Jungle Muzik Mafia thing… If I’m wrong, someone correct me…

16. “Leaf Coast”
>>> Sounds like a jacked beat, here… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and that’s what’s up that you a “‘90s baby,” here; I’m older than you… “A Leaf show?” Silverleaf on tha feature? I’ono… This sound nice, tho; I’ll call it “Leaf Coast,” here, lol… “From tha East Coast to tha Leaf Coast!” My Rating: 3.6

17. Interlude
Only four seconds?? >>> Nothing, lol… My Rating: N/A

18. “Get At Us” feat. Sheppard
>>> Sounds like a hyped-up hook but tha beat sound a lil’ familiar? Feelin’ how hyped-up you are on tha 1st verse, here, havin’ energy like there’s no tomorrow! Should I just call this “Get At Us”? I’ono… Hearin’ that “Sheppard” dude on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some hyped-up shit, here… My Rating: 3.8

19. “Itchin’ Fa Dope”
>>> “Itchin’ Fa Dope” in tha beginning, here? I’ll call it that…? Decent lil’ beat, here… Nice job on tha verse, too… Just feelin’ tha whole Rouge vibe, even tho this beat remind me of some Jeezy shit… My Rating: 3.7

20. “Bust The Hood Open”
>>> Sounds like a jammin’ lil’ track, like it was tha ‘90s or somethin’ on this beat, here… I’mma call this “Bust The Hood Wide Open”? Maybe, just “Bust The Hood Open”? I’ono… Either way, nice lil’ hook; definitely catchy shit! Hearin’ tha verse and it’s pretty short; good shit, tho… My Rating: 4.1

Overall: Thought this was a good CD, even tho a good portion of tha ratings were only decent… I do think you have a lotta potential, especially since you were, like, one of tha 1st rappers I met in Louisiana that I had no idea who you were till I met you… Best of luck wit err-thang, tho! Gotta keep tha undaground, Baton Rouge music alive!!

Review #1,722: "Go Tuff" Mixtape

Reviewed on 5.09.2017 (Review #1,722)

Been a lil’ minute since I did some reviewz… Got thrown off with Zoe Realla’s death, as I did a tribute video for him and then, just got caught up in tha 50-hour work week… But, here I am, finna review this mixtape I bought at Sundown. It’s a random compilation and I took a pic of tha tracklist… Here goes my review for tha Go Tuff mixtape… Start Time: 6:11 PM | End Time: 7:15 PM

01. Maintain x MFWeeThang “My Section”
This tha official 1st time I’m hearin’ Jungle Muzik Mafia’s WeeThang after meetin’ him, back on March 28, 2017! >>> Instant start, here; can’t imagine how I gon feel about all these tracks… I betcha this one #02, which tha “My Section” track. If that’s tha case, I gon review that one, here… Beat sounds nice fa tha Rouge; tha hook’s pretty nice, too… And, 1st time hearin’ WeeThang on tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ nice… At :48, we brought it back; sounds like a dope track… Once I met dude, I knew he had some sorta future, so I wish tha best of success fa him! My Rating: 4.5

02. C-Loc feat. Big Poppa & Micheal Sterling “Working These Hoes”
2013, here; a compilation? >>> Sounds like a catchy, club-like track, here, wit Loc on tha 1st verse… Loc wasn’t credited on tha back cover’s tracklist so I had to do my searchin’… Sometimes, I don’t expect club-type music from him but shit like this sounds pretty dope… Tha hook’s pretty catchy, here; good shit… Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice wit this “gumbo” he providin’… And, tha Pop on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ good, as always… I remember back in tha day, I thought he was okay, but trash. Now, it’s like, I’m glad we hear from some of these people, now-a-dayz! And, let’s see how this Micheal Sterling dude gon be on tha 4th verse… “MySpace,” huh, lol? Oh yeah, this four years ago, which “MySpace” was kinda defunct just years before… Sounds like a good contribution; nice job, y’all… My Rating: 4.3

03. Brickfare Zeke feat. Scotty Cain “Down Dat”
>>> Sounds like an interestin’, good start, here… And, we get a beat from Austin, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad, here… Of course, I feel it; diggin’ tha gangsta-soundin’, dark sound, here… Speakin’ of dark, how about last Wednesday:

Went to tha abandoned graffiti highway up here during tha night and it was dope! Tomorrow night, in honor of my brother’s death anniversary, I’m goin’ to tha abandoned Concrete City; can’t wait! Pre-shootin’ some tribute videoz & gettin’ some photos done! With tha hook, it’s definitely dope, here; good shit! Definitely feelin’ it! However, I’ono what this iz! “100 pounds, I broke it down to 100 zips;” feelin’ it! “Down That Bitch” iz this title? My Rating: 4.2
EDIT: Lil’ would I know that I’d randomly Shazam it and it’d come up! Brickfare Zeke feat. Scotty Cain “Down Dat”! This tha track that’s not on tha back cover…

04. Mista Cain feat. Scotty Cain “No Shootas”
My Current Rating: 4.4

05. Mula Pugh “Downlow”
>>> I’m really likin’ this start, whateva this iz… Sounds like some good Rouge music on tha 1st verse and tha beat from Austin, here; good shit! Tha hook sounds good; of course, gotta keep shit on tha “downlow.” Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, as they “eat that thang up fa lunch,” here; chomp, chomp! My Rating: 4.2

06. Mula Pugh “Plottin’ On Ya”
>>> I’ono how much I can feel this one… “It’s retarded, it’s retarded” beat tag, here… Not really feelin’ this voice, that much… At times, I like it but at times, it sounds annoying… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s ehh; tha voice throws me off too much… Don’t recognize this one… “People countin’ on me… They plottin’ on me…” Oh, now I recognize it… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s not bad, as well, now that I know who it iz… Still, a lil’ yada-yada-yada-yada wit this dude… Tha previous song was better, as well as tha voice… A Kevin Gates-sampled outro, here? My Rating: 3.6

07. Mula Pugh “TBH”
>>> Beat’s ehh, here… Just sounds like a regular voice, here, with nothin’ special to offer… Ugh, anotha Mula one, again? Whoeva burned this CD completely didn’t follow tha tracklist and just shoved tha same artists back to back, smh… But yeah, this worse than tha previous song; not feelin’ tha mainstream shit, here… My Rating: 2.2

08. S-8ighty feat. Lil’ Wayne “Halfway (Remix)”
Was almost like, “I know this one; why this mainstream shit on here?” Then again, I remember it soundin’ bounce-y, so I believe it’s New Orleans or somethin’… >>> Ewe!! Let’s pretend I’m deaf in both ears, right now…! Keep it in tha mainstream, not on my underground CDs! Hate how tha 2nd verse sounds like Drake, at times, even tho it Weezy! Also, clean version; really? My Rating: 1.2

09. Sheppard “Whole Week”
>>> Instant start, here; sounds pretty nice, in a way, on this hook… Not likin’ these instant starts that rewind after a few seconds… Same Sheppard as tha Lil’ Sheppard? I think so… Dude sound like he neva fell off; great to have that motivation! “Smokin’ blunts and poppin’ molly;” crazy dude! Hearin’ tha verse and it’s aight; fuck that stupid “get to tha money” shit that repeats so many times, smh! Couldn’t come up wit somethin’ else there? My Rating: 4.0

½time: Only a 3.6-rated compilation, so far; can be better! A lil’ trashy with tha mainstream-soundin’ bullshit but there’s some nice tracks on here… Let’s see what we have left…

10. T.E.C. & Maine Musik “Ain’t No Comin’ Down”
>>> Sounds dope wit that intro in tha streetz; good shit… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice; feelin’ tha Rouge shit! “It’s up there!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, strictly comin’ through on this faster beat! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, here; lots of rappin’ and a jammin’ beat, ya dig, lol…?! And, tha 3rd verse’s pretty nice, here; good shit! Rowdy endin’; lots of talkin’ wit tha crazy hook goin’ off… My Rating: 4.1

11. Thug Brothers “Go Tuff”
>>> This sounds like a dope start; dabbin’ in tha beginnin’, here? Expectin’ somethin’ dope, here!! Easily sounds like tha top song on here? Definitely feelin’ tha energy in tha beat and how dem Brothers comin’ through, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and you already know, energetic!! Damn, this 48-second intro wit tha rewindin’ again! Damn! Again, 47 seconds later, anotha rewind? I’ono, but all tha rewindin’ kinda blends in nicely wit this vibe! A crazy length of 5:52, here! Oh, finally, we have a full 1st verse! Love how dude don’t stop on tha 1st verse; “ran off on tha plug twice!” Damn…! Iz this what tha jiggaz bring, lol? Definitely lovin’ it!! So glad I finally got to see jiggaz!! Can’t deny tha 2nd verse, ya know? No matter what’s spit, it’s still nice! Funny how I mentioned jiggaz and now, y’all jiggin’! Pretty crazy, once again! And, tha ending, here, soundin’ like tha beginning, still pretty crazy! An ending, here; sounds like samples from a music video or somethin’, lol? Random rippin’? My Rating: 4.4

12. WNC “Run Up”
>>> Here comes a “Run Up, Get Done Up” track; can’t imagine who it iz… Either way, beat’s pretty nice and so iz tha hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and dude pretty energetic; a jiggalater at its finest?! This tha 1st time I’m hearin’ this dude; pretty nice, here! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, still soundin’ energetic; gotta love it! My Rating: 4.3

13. A.T.G. “Started Sumthin’”
>>> Feelin’ tha energetic intro, here; can’t wait ta hear! Shit-ton of rhymes on tha 1st verse, here; definitely feelin’ tha agility!! Now, a Baton Rouge-soundin’ beat? Did it rewind? Guess so… “Bitch, you—bitch, you—bitch, you—bitch, you shouldn’t started nothin’!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty dope; insane speed and lyrics!! Hearin’ tha rest and it’s pretty dope, too; gotta luv tha craziness! My Rating: 4.5

14. Boosie Badazz feat. Mista Cain “Big Blue Hundreds”
>>> Can tell it sounds like a Boosie track… Do I sound strange to say that I’m feelin’ this? Not my kinda title/topic but it sounds nice wit this beat and Boosie presence, I guess? I hope people don’t take this shit serious, as far as they have to carry “big blue hundreds!” Oh, here we go wit tha Mista shit on tha 2nd verse, smh… He did a nice job but how many times we gotta hear him? A Boosie verse on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice… Gonna make this a guilty pleasure rating, here… My Rating: 4.2

15. B Will feat. Boosie Badazz, Shu & J Day “Lil’ Shooter”
>>> This one’s five minutes long; here we go… Ain’t expect it to be tha Boosie track wit tha sound of this, but I had a feelin’ it was gon be two Boosie tracks, back to back… I think whoeva did tha back cover fucked this one up; this ain’t no Boosie… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad… Oh, I have tha full ID, here: B Will feat. Boosie Badazz, Shu & J Day “Lil’ Shooter”! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ a lil’ betta… Kinda luvin’ how they’re obsessed with this “shooter,” here; ain’t thank y’all fucked wit supportin’ other people! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s not bad, here; diggin’ a lil’ more of an aggressive vibe, here… Here comes Boosie at 3:44, comin’ through wit tha pure aggression… My Rating: 3.8

16. Brickfare Zeke “On Ya Head”
>>> Instant start; I’m expectin’ it to rewind, smh! Yeah, :11 in; prolly’ll happen again… Yup; let’s see what we got… Sounds like a nice hook, here, between tha beat and content… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ like he off some jiggaz or somethin’, wit this “Yaba-Daba-Doo” shit, lol… My Rating: 4.0

17. Brickfare Zeke x Scotty Cain “Stick Out”
>>> Anotha instant start…; prolly tha other Zeke track? Got La’Keith doin’ this beat; leggo! Got tha “dick out,” here, on tha hook; definitely dope and energetic, here, ya dig? Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, doin’ tha crazy thang, here… I see how tha “dick” iz used as “tha one that go up in tha glock, not tha bitch mouth,” just so y’all know! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice from Scotty, here; nothin’ much else ta say… Definitely a catchy track, right chea; y’all dope! My Rating: 4.3

18. Da Real Gee Money “Take It There”
Lol!! My Current Rating: 4.9

19. Jay Lewis feat. T.E.C., Maine Musik & Geaux Yella “Ain’t My Round”
>>> Don’t sound like a good ending… Sounds like it gon be a 1.0-rated track wit this dumb auto-tune shit… A BlaqNmilD beat, here… No interest from me wit tha 1st verse, here… Tha 2nd verse a lil’ betta but whateva… And, at 2:28, it sound like a heartbeat; why a music video on tha CD? Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s ehh; why am I commentin’ when I keep hearin’ auto-tune, smh? I have to say, this worse than tha S-8ighty track… I was right about tha rating from when I first heard tha first second of it! My Rating: 1.0

Overall: Not too bad, overall… At least there was a good mix of tha Rouge on here… Too bad some shitty mainstream-soundin’ shit had to knock tha average CD rating down…

FTLD'z Louisiana Trip #01: 3.26.2017 - 3.29.2017 (Video)

FrankieThaLuckyDog & Lucky Dogz Entertainment Presents FTLD'z Louisiana Trip #01: 3.26.2017 - 3.29.2017.

Since October 11, 2007, Frankie has been fascinated with underground, Louisiana rap music. All his life, he has always wanted to go down to Louisiana and meet up with everyone. Finally, starting on March 26, 2017, his dream came true! Take a look at who and what Frankie encountered over his four dayz in Louisiana:

Day 1: March 26, 2017:
Frankie & his grandma, Grandma Down the Block, arrive in New Orleans, LA at 6:23 PM, rents his first car & his first hotel. Frankie gets his first drive through I-10 and iz amazed at tha scenery. Frankie then pulls up to tha Hookah Lounge in Baton Rouge, going to tha club for tha first time. He meets up with rappers YB (Dirty Dinero Band Camp), Razy Ray (Dirty Dinero Band Camp), A.R. (In Your Earhole Productions), FY JR (Forever Young Entertainment) & Wolfe, as well as manager, Big Steve (formerly of Millionaire Minds Entertainment).

Day 2: March 27, 2017:
Frankie & his grandma take a trip to DJ/promoter, 3 Way Street Radio's Way 3000's house. They encounter Korey, who's with Travis James Entertainment. Way 3000 shows Korey an award he won on Frankie's 3rd Annual Louisiana Awards of 2010. They then head to Way's old store off Gus Young Avenue, they meet up with Dog Entertainment & Cash Out Entertainment's Tech (Mr. Throw Me Back), Po Boy Express to meet up with Macked Out Music's Big Supa & then, they head to DJ Greg Dukes' studio. As they're chillin' outside with song ideas and ways to encounter different weather, they head into tha studio to meet up with SLF EMP Music Group's Max Minelli, No Limit Forever Records & OJ Entertainment's Sam I Am, Dirty South Productions' Mista Matt (South Coast Coalition) & Koo Shot Ya (as well as Highlife Entertainment producer La'Keith, who made a quick appearance). While there, Frankie signs Greg Dukes wall and even gets interviewed by him on camera.

As they continue to drive around, they are stopped by a moving train for at least 10 minutes. Then, after they get a bite to eat at tha catfish store and shop for new clothes, Frankie & grandma head back to tha hotel to recharge. As Frankie doesn't hear from anyone, Frankie randomly falls asleep. Then, New Go Get It Music & Boss Made Music Group rapper, Beezy Bird, meets him outside tha hotel.

Day 3: March 28, 2017:
Frankie & his grandma head back to meet up with Way 3000. Frankie asks Way 3000 about where to find a voodoo doll at, courtesy of Frankie's manager. They drop his grandma off at tha Mall of Louisiana as they head their separate ways, for tha day. Way 3000 takes Frankie down late rappers Racked-Up Ready & Lil' Handy's old neighborhoods. They then pull up to Sundown to meet up with Jungle Muzik Mafia rapper, MFWeeThang, walkin' around tha area.

As Frankie iz shopping for more clothes and on tha hunt for a Baton Rouge hat, him and Way encounter Black Balloon Global rappers, Ray Vicks & Steve O, in tha parking lot of one of tha urban shops. They then meet up at tha barbershop, doin' a drop for Frankie. They continue to go to late rapper, Dope Celebrity Records' Nu$$ie's old block, featuring Nu$$ie's DCF building and passing Nu$$ie's old house. In tha mist of gettin' ready for tha next siting, Frankie encounters one of rapper Quick's connects for a drop. Then, they head to tha Triple S gas station where CD seller, Alton Sterling was killed at.

As Frankie drops Way 3000 off and rides solo, he meets up with Big Faces Entertainment rapper, Lil' Boxx & then, Legal Dope Records producer, Dre Tree Z. Frankie then hops in tha car with Dre Tree Z to head to Morganza to meet up with Legal Dope Records rapper, P.I.R., a rapper who gets a hold of Frankie every day. On tha way there, Frankie smells somethin' unique: a paper plane, as they cross tha bridge to Morganza. P.I.R. iz starstruck by Frankie and appreciates him to tha max.

Day 4: March 29, 2017:
Frankie & his grandma head to New Orleans to find a voodoo doll and meet up with Gangsta Gumbo DJ/promoter, Jimmy the DJ, tha dude who started Frankie's Louisiana connection on October 11, 2007. They meet up in tha VooDoo Mart and get tha voodoo doll.

Tha trip was a huge success for Frankie, overall, and plans on having more trips in tha future. He expects to meet up with everyone he's fucked with in Louisiana...

FTLD’z Louisiana Trip #01: 3.26.2017 – 3.29.2017

Since October 11, 2007, I’ve had a fascination with underground, Louisiana rap music, mainly from Baton Rouge. I’ve always wanted to go to Louisiana and meet up wit err-body, but certain obstacles would be in my way. I would continuously ask family members, “Go to Louisiana with me!” They would look at me all judgmental and say, “What’s in Louisiana? It’s dangerous!” In 2010, I tried to go with an underground rapper’s sidekick & he was like, “I’m not going unless you pay for me! My artist’s way bigger than all of them!” That pissed me off and put me in jeopardy of finding some1 to go with ‘cause bein’ autistic, it ain’t easy makin’ friends…

One person I always wanted to go with was my grandma, who has heard damn-near every story I had with Louisiana (getting robbed on November 17, 2011, my radio show, talking to this one, etc.). During my Louisiana connection, she would always have to take care of her mom. On September 19, 2015, her mom passed away & now, she wasn’t trapped with taking care of some1. However, since Baton Rouge producer/rapper, DJ B-Real blocked me on February 5, 2014, I now have a full-time job, working six dayz a week & it’s hard to find coverage.

On January 27, 2017, I opened up to my manager about finally making my debut to Louisiana. She was cool with it & I was able to get tha coverage. I let my grandma know that we can finally make this happen. I chose March 26, 2017 as my debut-in-Louisiana day. March 26 iz my manager’s birthday & she has pushed me into making some interesting, risky, unique decisions. As each day progressed, my anxiety & excitement were both building up, while tryna handle a tough job… I couldn’t believe my dream was finally comin’ true!

On March 25, I flew to Coconut Creek, FL, to meet up with my grandma. However, when I got off my plane at 6:23 PM, my luggage got lost in Charlotte, NC, jeopardizin’ my trip… My flight was scheduled for 6:35 AM tha next day & I ain’t have my luggage. Tha following morning, we had a cab ride scheduled for 4:30 AM… A lack of communication made our cab arrive at 5:22 AM! When we arrived at tha airport, my grandma lost her phone… While lookin’ for tha phone, we missed tha flight; it was rescheduled for 1:35 PM. Her phone wound up bein’ in her car but at this point, will I finally make it to Louisiana? At around 10 AM, American Airlines called us, lettin’ us know that they found my luggage. We got tha luggage and we were finally on our way to Louisiana!

Day 1 in Louisiana: 3.26.2017: At 6:23 PM, I arrived in New Orleans, LA, renting my 1st car & hotel. As I drove an hour to my hotel in Baton Rouge, I’m lookin’ at tha scenery and I’m really impressed with how it looked like a cool jungle. I stayed at tha Hotel Indigo Baton Rouge Downtown hotel and began to hit up peeps that I was in town… Baton Rouge rapper, YB, from tha Forever Young
click, told me to meet him at tha Hookah Lounge nearby; he was performing. I’ve been at bars before, but this was tha 1st time I was at a club… Everything was nice, as I chilled with YB. I showed him birthday luv & got him a hookah to enjoy… We was also kickin’ it wit one of his patnaz, Baton Rouge rapper, Razy Ray. We got pics, drops & watched tha performances happen. One rapper who performed, Baton Rouge rapper, A.R. (Problem Child Entertainment), I had known since 2009.
I approached him when he was done and I was like, “It’s FrankieThaLuckyDog!” He was excited and said, “You been fuckin’ wit me since I was a teenager!” Crazy to know that I was only 20 & he was 18 when I first heard of him, back on Baton Rouge producer/rapper, Beat Flippa’s Street Certified CD on October 16, 2008. He was sellin’ me a CD & I showed him luv by givin’ him $5.00 for tha CD. As I waited for YB to perform, I also ran into Baton Rouge rapper, J.R., from tha Forever Young click & Big Steve, who was Baton Rouge rapper, BluBlack’s old manager. As YB performed, he was like, “I’m sellin’ my new CD fa a dolla…” I was like, “I know you gave me tha CD for free, but you deserve tha dollar! Neva give up! Tha rap game needs you! I need you to continue!!” As I left tha Hookah Lounge, I ran into one more dude, Wolfe, who I ain’t know… He gave me a CD & I have yet to see how he iz…

Day 2 in Louisiana: 3.27.2017: Tha next morning, Gram & I headed to tha Waffle House on College Road in Baton Rouge. After that, during tha 10 AM hour, we hooked up with Baton Rouge DJ/promoter, Way 3000. Way was so happy to see me that when his patna, Corey, affiliated with Baton Rouge labelhead, Travis James, stopped by, Way showed him an award he won from me on my 2010 Louisiana Awards for Louisiana CD Cover Of Tha Year for his Jigg City Rockstars 3(Hosted by Way 3000) mixtape compilation. Way then hopped in tha car & we hit up his old store, located on Gus Young Avenue. He was then gettin’ a hold of artists to try and meet up wit me for my documentary on Louisiana that I was shootin’. We met up wit Baton Rouge rapper, Tech, a.k.a. Mr. Throw Me Back (Dog Entertainment/Cash Out Entertainment) & brought him along for tha ride… They also showed me that tha jiggaz in Baton Rouge no longer have X in ‘em; they have meth in ‘em!

As we continued to drive around BR, we met up wit Baton Rouge rapper, Big Supa (Macked Out Music), formerly of tha Baton Rouge group, Down Bad. We took pics & took one of my favorite pics with WayWe then took a trip to Baton Rouge DJ, Greg Dukes’ studio… As we waited a lil’ while, Dukes & a group of rappers were excited to know that I was in town… Inside tha studio was Baton Rouge rappers Max Minelli (SLF EMP Music Group), Sam I Am (No Limit Forever Records/OJ Entertainment) & Mista Matt of South Coast Coalition (Dirty South Productions). Baton Rouge photographer, Koo Shot Ya, was also present, shootin’ an interview wit Sam I Am. Once tha interview was done, I signed Greg’s wall of signatures. Greg came up with tha idea to get an interview from me, so I told him how dedicated I’ve been for Baton Rouge rap over tha past 10 years. Despite not gettin’ a pic, Baton Rouge producer/rapper, La’Keith (Highlife Entertainment), made an appearance in tha studio, too.

After tha studio session, we headed to Hana’s to check out some new clothes. Tha clothes were pretty dope there, buildin’ my collection. Then, as we were headin’ back to Way’s house, a train was coming. My gram & I ain’t realize how long tha train in Baton Rougetook to cross; lots on one train! After tha train action, I randomly fell asleep, though tryin’ to hit up people in between. Some would answer but none would confirm a time/place to meet. I then finally got a hold of Baton Rouge rapper, Beezy Bird (New Go Get It Music/Boss Made Music Group) & got a pic/drop from him… After Beezy Bird, I wound up meetin’ back up wit Way 3000 at his house for an hour or so & that was that.

Day 3 in Louisiana: 3.28.2017: Tha next day, I went to tha Waffle House & met up with Way 3000 again. This time, he showed me around various hoods, such as Zion City & we went to Sundown, a CD store in Baton Rouge. At Sundown, I met up wit some new rappers from Baton Rouge, includin’ Jungle Muzik Mafias MFWeeThang. I filmed them showin’ they ass off, while I copped a Go Tuff mixtape.

After Sundown, we were gas station-hoppin’ for a Baton Rouge/225 hat. Lil’ did I know, it’s a custom-made hat, so most places ain’t have it. As we pulled up to OMO Streets Wear in Baton Rouge, we seen Baton Rouge rapper, Ray Vicks (Black Balloon Records), pull out. We were told to meet him at tha barbershop, so after I bought more clothes, I went to tha barbershop to meet up wit him. He & his boy showed me luv, gave me a CD & it was nice to encounter him. After Ray Vicks, we headed to tha late Baton Rouge rapper, Nu$$ie’s label building, Dope Celebrity Records. I got pics & we passed Nu$$ie’s house, too.

To go with tha legends, we then headed to tha Triple S gas station, where Baton Rouge CD seller, Alton Sterling, was murdered. As I pulled my camera out, err-body at Triple S thought I was with MTV ‘cause I come from New York. I respected tha compliment & took a few more shots…

Once I headed back to tha hotel & ate dinner, I headed to Sherwood to holla at my boy, Baton Rouge rapper, Lil’ Boxx (Big Faces Entertainment). Me tellin’ him about tha passing of my brother & how I’ve evolved really moved him and he really respects how I’m a “consistent, undefeatable savage,” as I say.

After Boxx, I headed back to tha hotel to meet up with Simmesport, LA producer, Dre Tree Z (Legal Dope Records), who produces for Morganza, LA rapper, P.I.R. (Legal Dope Records). After we met up, he gave me a ride all tha way to Morganza to meet up with P.I.R. & it was nice.
P.I.R. was starstruck to finally meet me, after bein’ connected with me for six years. P.I.R.’s one of tha most-dedicated people I’ve dealt with, as he texts me every day to see what’s good. Once we met up, Dre Tree Z dropped me off at tha hotel. Interesting enough, we smelt a paper plane as we were passin’ tha Audubon Bridge to P.I.R.’s house. To wrap up tha night, I headed back to Way 3000’s crib; he gave me a few CDs. After nearly fallin’ asleep on his chair, I headed back to tha hotel…

Day 4 in Louisiana: 3.29.2017: Our final day in Louisiana featured my gram & I headin’ to New Orleans to see Bourbon Street. I picked up a voodoo doll for my manager, by request, as well as a shirt for one of my favorite co-workers. Then, in tha Voodoo Mart, I met up with Kenner, LA DJ, Jimmy The DJ & I gave him an update on myself. Jimmy’s tha one that started my Louisiana connection & it was nice to finally meet him. After we met him, we headed to Coconut Creek, FL, via car, to kick off tha 2nd ½ of my vacation…

My advice to anyone trying to achieve whatever dream they wanna accomplish: It’s gonna take a while! Years—well, a decade for me!! No matter if you’re tha opposite race as most of tha entire culture you’re passionate about, you ARE accepted! Just know that you have somethin’ in common: tha passion for what y’all love!! It sux that I lost a brother along tha way but that just made me fearless! You’re gonna run into a lotta obstacles along tha way! Don’t give up!! You’re gonna have to spend thousands!! Spend thousands of dayz, hours, etc. just to build your reputation! Here I am, 1,700 CD reviewz later, finally accomplishing my dream of makin’ it to Louisiana! I did it!! And, I’m autistic! I defeated every barrier that was in my way and I’m happier than ever!! You can accomplish your dream! Mine came true at 28 years-old! Now, all I have to do iz get DJ B-Real to unblock me and reconnect with me & I’ll be all complete!
