Review #1,253: Juvielyfe Entertainment "Life Of Dat Juvielyfe"

Reviewed on 2.02.2013 (Review #1,253)

Because I need a job soon, I’m gonna have to really breeze through these reviewz… This upcomin’ review right here iz Juvielyfe Entertainment Life Of Dat Juvielyfe. Group members are Big Collione, Lil’ Bitty B, Lil’ Rodney, Smoove Da RB, Wreckthang, Carson, Mako & (of course) Doodie Da Juvie Couple dealbreakers: 1. This iz from 2011; why didn’t I get it then, smh? 2. Tha total length of this CD’s 1:24:01; it doesn’t fit on a CD! It sold 0 copies, then? Start Time: 10:12 AM | End Time: 10:29 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “DoodieShyt” Feat. Q-Red On The Track, Lil’ Frank, Lil’ Feet & J-Skillz
>>> A lil’ young for me; I’m not into tha lyrics at all! My Rating: 2.2

02. “Dumbo” Feat. Q-Red On The Track
Not another uncomfortable feature, back to back!! >>> This iz betta than tha previous…; sounds like Ville Boyz. My Rating: 4.2

03. “Juvies” Feat. J-Skillz
Same here!! >>> Why tha beat tag? Ugh, this fuckin’ generation!! Not too bad; at least it’s got a lil’ bit of a jammin’ vibe to it… My Rating: 3.1

04. “Make It Rain” Feat. Self-Made Yungstaz
SMH @ tha back cover bein’ all un-updated, sayin’ tha feature’s Short Bus Boyz; that was so long ago, that name! >>> Good beat, but not for me at all! I got robbed by a BR artist who made a song about “money;” why you think I can’t handle this shit?! My Rating: 1.4

05. “Ask Them Hoes” Feat. T.E.C., JusDeeJay & TreeHead
I think this iz gonna be a-tune; hope to skip ASAP! >>> Actually, no a-tune, luckily, but like tha previous song, good beat, but not really feelin’ tha lyrics at all. My Rating: 2.3

06. “Pass Around” Feat. Lil’ Dundray, J-Skillz & G
Who’s “G”? >>> Low volume? This sounds better; nice lil’ jam, here, but fix tha volume! My Rating: 3.5

07. “Money Smell” Feat. J-Skillz
“Money” iz a very offensive title to me; it’s like callin’ a black person tha N-word, E-R, but I’ll be nice and keep tha original rating. My Current Rating: 4.5

08. “Just Another Gurl”
>>> Okay for a sample on a beat like this; good job wit tha beat, here. Surprisingly, this iz more normal for me, on here… My Rating: 3.6

09. “Pourin’ Up A 4”
>>> This ain’t bad; good vibe fa feelin’ fucked up… My Rating: 3.8

10. “My Nigga”
>>> This sounds good; I like how everyone sounds on this shit, includin’ tha hook. My Rating: 4.1

½time: A 3.3-rated CD, currently; this ain’t really my generation, especially if y’all born after 1987… I don’t really fuck wit this whole geeky-ass glasses, a-tune, swag, money, hoes, haters-type shit that everyone raps about!

11. “Play Dat Shyt” Feat. Q-Red
NOT AGAIN!!! Wait, where’s tha file? Well, I can’t review it if there’s no file. My Rating: N/A

12. “I Get Money” Feat. Ville Boyz
Not anotha “money” song again!! >>> Of course, tha hook sucks wit tha same sample 50 Cent used. Yea, this ain’t for me at all! My Rating: 2.4

13. “Start A Fight” Feat. Big World & Big Wayne
Big World from Macked Out Music? >>> This iz more normal; sounds good, and this cockiness iz okay. However, Big World’s 1st and Big Wayne’s 2nd on tha 3rd verse; no dickridin’ wit tha order and smh @ no Big World on tha back cover! Nice job wit tha features; they helped a lot! My Rating: 4.5

14. “Big Truck” Feat. WatchDatBaby, JusDeeJay, Lil’ Frank & Lil’ Rick
>>> Good beat and okay content… Lyrics a lil’ cocky wit this “V.I.P.” shit? My Rating: 3.0

15. “I Know You Wanna”
>>> Simple, but not bad… My Rating: 3.2

16. “Jus Do My Shyt” Feat. JusDeeJay
>>> Not bad for a slower vibe… My Rating: 2.8

17. “Walk Down On Ya”
>>> Good, energetic-like song; I can feel tha vibe, this time. My Rating: 4.0

18. “Tonight” Feat. Purple Label
Also known as Click Tight, I would assume from tha back cover? >>> Anotha slow vibe; this ain’t bad… I like this betta than tha previous slow-vibe song. My Rating: 3.3

19. “Life Of Dat Juvielyfe”
>>> Voices kinda scare me, here… Overall, it ain’t too bad, but a lotta fear when tryna get through this one… My Rating: 2.5

20. “#lildoodieshyt”
Random bonus that was not included on tha back cover… >>> Random song for me; fits wit tha rest of this CD… My Rating: 2.6

Overall: I knew by some of tha features that this was gonna be a turn-off for me. Plus, a lot of tha material sounded too much like this stupid generation. Oh well, that’s how it goes, sometimes. I have another CD to review from Doodie, so we’ll see what happens wit dat one.

Review #908: Tha Glacier Boy "Tattoos & A Mic"

Reviewed on 3.28.2011 (Review #908)

I hope today (and/or tomorrow) that I can complete tha current reviewz I’m behind in!! I have 14 afta this one; we’ll see what happens! This 1st one for today iz Tha Glacier Boy “Tattoos & A Mic”. He founded M.I.B. Boyz as well as bein’ tha CEO of Certified Muzik. Start Time: 7:05 AM | End Time: 7:27 AM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “(Intro) Applause”
Different seein’ tha parenthesis “intro” before tha actual title. >>> Tha beat intro sounded cool and different…; tha rhymes sound nice and fast and are decent… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds good fa an “applause”-type of anthem. My Rating: 3.8

02. “I’m Back”
>>> Sounds like it gon be good…; tha rhymes are cool, here. I’m now hearin’ tha hook and it’s soundin’ good, once again; guess you got tha tracks on lock? My Rating: 3.7

03. “Swagga Jackin’” Feat. Jus Dee-Jay
>>> For a “swag”-type of song, this iz a lil’ catchy… Even though this iz a boring topic, tha beat’s nice and you got some catchy rhymes. Surprisingly, Jus Dee-Jay sounds pretty-good on this joint… kinda. My Rating: 3.4

04. “Crown Me”
>>> Good beat intro; sounds like you got tha hook on lock, again! Tha rhymes are aight; good voice ta hold some of this shit down. My Rating: 3.7

05. “Get ‘Em” Feat. Ariele
Arielle (wit two “L’s”) from Big Fancy’s King Fancy Entertainment? Or, a different Ariele since there’s only one “L”? >>> Feelin’ tha beat start, here; definitely tha best one, so far! Ooh, tha 1st verse from you sounds nice; definitely an improvement! Tha hook sounds nice; can’t tell if this iz tha same Ariele, so I’ll just consider it a different one. I have ta say, thumbs up fa havin’ her on tha hook ‘cause it’s pretty catchy! Also, thumbs up fa tha 2nd verse; consistent shit, here, as well as tha gangsta shit! My Rating: 4.2

06. Thank You (Glacier Speaks)
>>> Thumbs up fa there bein’ a skit, here. My Rating: N/A

07. “Get ‘Em Buck”
>>> Sounds like happy music on tha beat intro. LOL, tha hook sounds happy, too, which iz pretty-good fa dis joint; thought it would be more Southern, lol. Tha rhymes are consistent, here; glad people motivate you for this motivated-type shit. My Rating: 3.6

08. “Feelin’ My Swag” Feat. T-Bo
Not anotha “swag” song, despite tha feature… >>> Thought I wasn’t gonna be too much inta tha beat but it’s aight, so far. T-Bo’s startin’ dis off and it’s soundin’ catchy, although I’d definitely expect betta. Okay, it’s gettin’ betta wit tha content, without tha “swag” shit. LOL, you’re “tha teacher,” here, but I dunno about tha “Swagganomics” class. Overall, this was a lil’ catchy; I dunno about tha Lil’ Wayne/Drake-soundin’ flow on your verse, a lil’. My Rating: 3.3

½time: A decent CD, currently; 3.7 for tha CD rating.

09. “Like Me”
>>> This sounds betta; nice beat you chose and tha hook’s catchy wit tha title. Tha flow’s like tha Wayne/Drake one, in a way, again, but there’s catchy lyrics… My Rating: 3.6

10. “Out My Mind” Feat. Tuda & Lil’ Wig
Who are these people? >>> Production’s definitely gettin’ betta; should like dis one… Tha 1st verse sounds entertainin’ wit this title/topic… Now, I’m hearin’ tha hook and it’s prolly tha best one on here! Definitely delivered nice, as well as tha content wit tha “(tokin’)”? :tu Tha 2nd verse’s good, but tha 3rd verse’s betta; Lil’ Wig holdin’ it down! My Rating: 4.3

11. “Snap Ya Neck”
Doesn’t look like a title I’d like… >>> For a decent CD, I would say that I don’t have lots of interest in dis. This iz more on a ‘swag’ tip; sounds like my boy J.Hu$tle randomly appearin’ on dis? Like, tha 2nd verse? My Rating: 3.2

12. “Killin’ ‘Em”
>>> LOL, anotha “swag” song? Somewhat-catchy but nothin’ ta grab my attention. My Rating: 3.0

13. “100 Racks”
>>> Still on a “swag” level, here; startin’ ta get bored… My Rating: 2.8

14. “Jump Stupid” Feat. Wild Wizzle
>>> Tha beat prolly could’ve had more hype and energy in it; tha hook’s aight but I know betta “Jump Stupid” songs. Hearin’ both tha 1st and 2nd verses and they’re aight; I think I might like tha 2nd verse betta wit this “jump” in tha “jungle” shit. My Rating: 3.7

15. “My Life (Outro)”
Longest song on here? Hope I don’t get bored… >>> Sounds like it could be boring but a lil’ catchy, at tha same time. Decent rhymes, overall; nothin’ special, though. My Rating: 2.9

16. “Certified Muzik (Bonus Freestyle)”
A bonus freestyle ta end it off? >>> Because you included “freestyle” in tha ID, as well as considerin’ it a “freestyle,” I gotta take it serious. When thinkin’ “freestyles”, I usually think of goin’ hard and consistent. Some consistency iz here but tha rhymes aren’t too hard fa me ‘til about 1:22, a lil’, which iz a lil’ too long ta wait. Overall, aight; not bad, nothin’ special. My Rating: 3.2

Overall: Decent, overall; you maintained although lacked a lil’ throughout tha 2nd ½…

Review #869: JusDeeJay "Class Iz N Session"

Reviewed on 3.10.2011 (Review #869)

My 4th review for today iz JusDeeJay “Class Iz N Session”; not sure how I gon feel ‘bout dis one… Start Time: 9:30 AM | End Time: 9:45 AM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Class Iz N Session (Intro)”
>>> I like tha artwork on tha back as well as tha ‘class’ theme on tha front cover. Even though this ain’t tha kinda Rap I’d like, this iz aight, overall; at least there’s some new production, here. My Rating: 3.5

02. “Shhh On Da Lo”
>>> Not my kinda production but I could get inta dis, a lil’… I like tha ‘quiet’ theme, here; not bad… My Rating: 3.3

03. “A Nigga Had Good Day”
Where’s tha “A” in tha title? >>> A freestyle over no beat; interestin’… Prolly could’ve had a betta delivery; kinda soft but I guess it’s for a female… My Rating: 3.1

04. “Let Me Kno”
>>> Interestin’ wit tha beat combo and tha whistlin’; don’t really hear whistlin’ too much on current beats… Catchy delivery and this iz a pretty-good song, overall; tha production switches up, frequently, so that’s a plus. My Rating: 3.7

05. “Gone In N.O.” Feat. TreeHead
>>> Not likin’ tha production for tha start, here. Surprised dis iz one of those Vybe beats wit 120+ BPM; wouldn’t’ve expected dat… I dunno what ta say ‘bout dis; not too catchy fa me… My Rating: 3.2

06. “So Wht” Feat. Clyde Jr.
I like how you spell some of these titles, in a different way. >>> Not really inta dis production and tha rappin’s aight… Dat hook’s a lil’ too quiet/dead-soundin’? Tha Clyde dude on tha feature sounds good ta help you out… Tha way he delivers shit sounds catchy, and makes me wanna increase what I would’ve given this song. My Rating: 3.4

07. “Planes Party”
Could only imagine what dis gon sound like… >>> Sounds like really old Rap music on tha beat. Tha rappin’ iz good and tha beat goes wit acceptable Rap… Tha hook sounds good wit tha “high” shit… My Rating: 3.5

½time: Nothin’ wack, but nothin’ special at tha same time; a 3.4-rated CD, currently.

08. “Cnt B Frienz”
>>> Ugh, Trey Songz on tha sample? Not sure how anticipatin’ dis iz… Tha slow beat ain’t too bad; I dunno about me, though… My Rating: 2.8

09. “i H8 U” Feat. TreeHead
>>> Sounds like A.R. in tha beginning; a lil’ interestin’ fa a song I wouldn’t go for… What’s up wit nothin’ for tha hook? I actually like how tha beat sounds on tha plain hook. Overall, a somewhat-interestin’ song. My Rating: 3.3

10. “Street Story”
>>> LOL @ dat 2003 “A.D.I.D.A.S.” quote; surprised you remembered it. This iz decent, overall; good job wit tha rappin’. My Rating: 3.4

11. “Cyber Gurl”
>>> For a computer sound, tha beat intro sounds cool—Vybe, lol. SMH @ tha start to tha 1st verse; I don’t like technology comin’ into play on a song, unfortunately. I think I should end dis, now; startin’ ta annoy me. My Rating: 2.4

12. “My Girl” Feat. TreeHead
>>> Startin’ ta get gay, all of a sudden, huh? Then, I’ll skip! My Rating: 1.0

13. “Fuck Lose” Feat. Yung D.A.
>>> Sounds normal on tha rappin’, at least; nothin’ special, though. What’s up wit tha hook? Singin’ doesn’t have ta define hooks all tha hooks… My Rating: 3.0

14. “Hallway Talk” Feat. Kaycee
>>> Anotha acapella rap; sounds betta than tha previous one. I think this iz interestin’ dat you got someone wit you on dis, too. My Rating: 3.8

15. “Dreams Take Attention” Feat. TreeHead
>>> SMDH for tha ending; this wasn’t a jacked-soundin’ CD! Would’ve ended it afta I heard tha hook/jacked rhymes in tha hook but I’ll be a lil’ nice… Aight, decent. My Rating: 2.1

Overall: Not really my kinda music but you pulled a 3.0 for tha CD rating, which iz decent.

Rankings:

15. “My Girl” Feat. TreeHead 1.0
14. “Dreams Take Attention” Feat. TreeHead 2.1
13. “Cyber Gurl” 2.4
