Review #1,053: Wingfella Hawk "Glidin' Thru The Summer"

Reviewed on 8.16.2011 (Review #1,053)

Gettin’ tha day started by sayin’, “happy birthday to my favorite artist of all time!” Now, let’s start wit a review: Wingfella Hawk—outta dat 3 Fah 10 clique/Three For 10 Entertainment—Glidin’ Thru The Summer, which I feel dat eva since my iPod had to be restored—still workin’ on it—tha Summer did glide! But, I’m lookin’ forward ta hearin’ what Hawk (Wingfella, lol) has ta offer! Start Time: 9:44 AM | End Time: 10:13 AM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I already love it. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating! Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Speakers”
And what do we got here? >>> Sounds like some good shit you rappin’ on; nice lil’ joint about some boomin’ and bumpin’, lol. Definitely glad you “blowin’ on dat funk!” Kinda likin’ tha 2nd verse, too, but I hear some male-suckin’-dick-type voice effects dat I’m not likin’ outta nowhere… My Rating: 3.6

02. “Head To The Sky”
You know tha “sky” songs are lucky; how will this sound? >>> Sounds like some good production, once again; I might like this a lil’ betta than tha previous song. Rhymes are not bad/good and tha hook sounds catchy, regardless of what it sounds like. I can compare this to tha group I deal wit up here in PA: Official Squad; good shit. Thumbs up fa tha interestin’ rhymes and catchiness, here! My Rating: 3.8

03. “All The Way”
>>> Sounds like somethin’ jacked wit tha beat, here. This sounds a lil’ cheesy wit how you sound and tha lyrics… An okay hook, but if no feature’s listed, that means, this iz an added hook? Overall, not bad, but cheesy for me, mainly. My Rating: 3.2

04. “Youth So Cold” Feat. 3 Fah 10
At least I know tha feature, here! I originally only rated this a 3.4 but it’s a lil’ betta for me now! My Current Rating: 3.7

05. “Thous,000 Ways”
Interestin’ lookin’ title, here, lol. >>> This sounds like some continuous flow you’re bringin’ to tha table, here; sounds pretty good… I like how tha hook sounds wit this serious topic of a “thous,000 ways to die” and how you’re tryin’ ta survive; definitely a plus wit tha content! Huh? What’s dat shit at 2:58? Ahh, it’s not ending!! No, no sucking dick for me! My Rating: 3.5

06. “Soul Lady” Feat. Kosha
>>> Don’t think this’ll be for me, based off tha calm sound… Okay, tha rhymes are pickin’ up wit tha continuous rhymin’… Feelin’ tha gurl on tha hook; sounds like some older-soundin’ R&B music from tha Early 2000’s (like Faith Evans or Floetry), which I’ll give props to. Tha 2nd verse almost sounds a lil’ cheesy but once it gets to tha “sex” part, it sounds betta; I guess it’s either tha lyrics or tha flow dat was cheesy? Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 3rd verse, too, lol… My Rating: 3.5

½time: More of a decent CD, here, since tha CD rating’s at a 3.6, currently.

07. “No More Freedom”
>>> Tha beat sounds a lil’ betta, here; rhymes are good, too. Tha hook sounds like somethin’ in a true form; not bad… I’ll give you credit for this and your good lyrics. My Rating: 3.6

08. “Violenze”
What could this be? >>> Oh, a violin-soundin’ intro sound; I get it… More real-soundin’ rappin’, here, fa Vacherie. Tha hook almost sounds like a C-Loc delivery fa me; pretty good… Overall, a decent song fa me; lyrics not really for me but I’ll give ‘em credit for tha C-Loc-type song and for tha lyrics bein’ good, as far as rappin’. My Rating: 3.7

09. “Feeling Betta Now”
>>> Even though an East Coast style, this iz “betta” fa me. I like how tha hook sounds like a collaboration (mysterious, lol). Tha 1st verse has some good lyrics goin’ on, here; thumbs up fa havin’ knowledge. Tha length may be a lil’ long (4:21) but I won’t get bored of hearin’ this… My Rating: 3.8

10. “I Gotta Go”
>>> A lil’ on tha softer side… Likin’ tha ‘90s flow, here; you seem to always have some sort of plus in your songs… Tha hook ain’t too bad, either; sounds like you know how ta make somethin’ catchy, too! Soundin’ good, here—wait, no! I’m not gettin’ into a dick-suckin’ mood right now!! My Rating: 3.3

11. “Stripper Mu$ik”
>>> Mainstream song, lol? Lyrics are not for me; rather hear underground lyrics, but it iz a lil’ bit of a catchy song… hope that ain’t a guilty pleasure when I’m sayin’ dat! LOL, almost sounds like a gurl sayin’, “pussy. Pussy, pussy,” in tha background, at times. My Rating: 3.4

12. “M.P.B.”
Gotta have tha “B”, lol? >>> I’m more just about tha “P”: “Power!” This sounds like somethin’ dat would sound pretty good… A lil’ catchy, here, especially wit tha hook; I like how you say, “then, you get tha bitchessssssssss!” I believe this iz your anthem? Sounds like tha best song on here; good shit, I must say. My Rating: 4.1

13. “1st
>>> Ewe, “W.O.W.” beat; I knew I was 19 once I heard what this beat was! Yucky age, but best music came out then! Surprised it’s called “1st” when it’s last on tha CD, lol. Likin’ what you’re bringin’ to tha table, here; feelin’ tha “sex” shit, includin’ tha “shivers,” lol. Thought there was an A-Tune thing at 1:03 but luckily, it was an echo! Tha hook sounds catchy; I like these mixed/combined voices! Ugh, tha 2nd verse! *Almost passes out* What a sour way to end this CD! My Rating: 3.0

Overall: Seems like this was a decent CD. Too bad you had A-Tune in a bunch of tha songs; prolly could’ve boosted tha CD rating up a lil’ if there was none. It’s like, it’s 2011 now; I don’t wanna know that dick-on-dick thing iz still out there! But, no matter tha score(s), keep doin’ ya thang…

Review #966: 3 Fah 10 "Southern Vintage (Promo Disc)"

Reviewed on 6.05.2011 (Review #966)

My next review iz a quickie: 3 Fah 10 “Southern Vintage (Promo Disc). How will these six songs do? Once again: 3 Fah 10 iz Dub Sacc & O-Dog. Start Time: 10:51 PM | End Time: 11:04 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Crisp Clean” Feat. Zhanne & Saadia
All 100% original beats? Let’s see what ya got! >>> I had a feelin’ tha beat was gonna be produced by, Vacherie’s own, Wodieson, lol. Damn, didn’t expect a female so fast…; sounds pretty good on dis hook wit this Wodie beat! Tha 1st verse sounds catchy wit tha flow; good shit! Tha 2nd verse sounds good—ooh, rappin’s gettin’ a lil’ faster, so you know I’m definitely likin’ dis!! ROFL, “semen on tha wall”? How random! My Rating: 4.3

02. “Bac It Up” Feat. C-Loc
Let’s see what C-Loc has on dis feature! >>> I’m likin’ tha intro wit tha beat and him in tha beginning! Ooh, he sounds good on tha hook, too; good shit! LOL, when he says, “you got me rock—rocked up,” it makes me think it goes wit dat “semen” line from tha last song, lol? Actually, I think it does; this iz on tha sex tip, lol! Soundin’ good on tha 1st verse, Loc; consistent rhymes on this beat! Sounds like this could be a good single or somethin’? Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, here; sounded betta when I heard tha verses on tha previous song… Let’s see what we got wit tha 3rd verse… Okay, feelin’ tha semi-descriptive lyrics, lol; good shit, overall! My Rating: 4.2

03. “100 Dolla Bills” Feat. Max Minelli
Gotta feel tha features on all tha songs! >>> Beat sounds good, once again; tha hook’s pretty cool, in a way… Tha 1st verse iz soundin’ good/aight… I’m likin’ tha start to tha 2nd verse wit tha “Girbaud jeans;” gotta luv those! Rhymes are soundin’ aight/good, once again; I have a feelin’ Max’ll impress me… Yea, he’s soundin’ catchy wit how he typically comes through on a track; nice job, Max! My Rating: 4.1

½time: A 4.2-rated CD, currently; definitely stick wit dis shit!

04. “Asking Me Why” Feat. Queen Jawanza
>>> LOL, 2 Toxic beat? Online style, here… Oh, this iz startin’ ta disappoint me; more than one different female on your CD? I dunno, especially since it’s a CD wit only six songs… This iz a lil’ too Pop fa me although I’m likin’ tha female rappin’, instead, lol. Damn, why iz this 4:40? My Rating: 2.4

05. “S-T-A-R” Feat. Wingfella Hawk
Now, let’s see if dis iz a female, lol. >>> Beat’s much betta for a start; I guess we’re keepin’ it on a mainstream level? No wonder why you capitalized tha title on tha lil’ tracklisting you gave me; “S-T-A-R,” lol. Rhymes sound aight/betta-than-tha-previous-song, this time. I guess Wingfella’s a dude; I was confused when a female emerged on tha previous CD, then. Ooh, tha 3rd verse’s nice wit how it’s delivered! Overall, a decent song fa me dat seems ta have low-lasting power… My Rating: 3.5

06. “Call Me” Feat. Knowledge & Suge
It’s almost five minutes; betta be worth my wait! >>> Damn, this sounds like it gon be a lil’ soft; not a good way ta have dis 2nd ½! Tha 1st verse iz okay… on a soft level. For tha hook, I actually feel a good, ‘90s feel goin’ on, here; not bad… Tha 2nd verse also sounds pretty good… on a soft level. Tha 3rd verse iz barely aight fa me…; not really tha best-soundin’ song, overall. Tha outro’s a lil’ long but I guess it’s aight for an ending song… My Rating: 3.0

Overall: Great start but went downhill on tha 2nd ½…

Rankings:

06. “Asking Me Why” Feat. Queen Jawanza 2.4
05. “Call Me” Feat. Knowledge & Suge 3.0
04. “S-T-A-R” Feat. Wingfella Hawk 3.5
03. “100 Dolla Bills” Feat. Max Minelli 4.1
02. “Bac It Up” Feat. C-Loc 4.2
01. “Crisp Clean” Feat. Zhanne & Saadia 4.3

Review #965: 3 Fah 10 "7-Day Hustle (Hosted by DJ Jumbo)"

Reviewed on 6.05.2011 (Review #965)

Tha night iz almost over and I have four reviewz ta do; hope I get ‘em done before 12! First up, 3 Fah 10 “7-Day Hustle (Hosted by DJ Jumbo); shout out ta O-Dog fa mailin’ me a hard copy as well as Hawk, tha birthday boy, doin’ tha covers! Happy birthday, big dawg Hawk!! Hope he did it B.I.G., ya feel me?! Anyway, I finna get into tha review! Fact: 3 Fah 10 iz Dub Sacc & O-Dog. Start Time: 10:03 PM | End Time: 10:33 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Intro”
Looks like it gon be a song… >>> Y’all list on y’all MySpace as “Three For Ten Entertainment;” iz dat correct iz it spelled “3 Fah 10,” like y’all name? Anyway, good intro from DJ Jumbo, here; afta a minute, tha rappin’ iz here and I’m feelin’ how y’all comin’ through on this catchy beat. My Rating: 3.8

02. “Hi Haters”
>>> Even though this was an ’08-type title/saying, I think this iz a lil’ catchy for ’11; good female hook… Tha beat ain’t dat bad and tha rhymes are aight, too… Tha 2nd verse sounds catchy on how they’re deliverin’ shit on this beat, at least… My Rating: 3.7

03. “Youth So Cold” Feat. Wingfella Hawk
Looks interestin’… >>> Sounds like a sample but I’m likin’ this Jamaican resurrection style. “Shout out ta …, Louisiana;” I believe y’all rep Vacherie? Anyway, not sure what I can make outta dis; thought I’d hear Jamaican-vocal flows than somewhat-boring flows. Tha “Obama” shit kinda sounds outdated; he should just stay in tha ‘08/’09 dayz. Anyway, let’s see what I can make outta dis 2nd verse… This iz betta wit tha flow; at least there’s some interest in it, although tha 1st verse did have some good lyrics… Didn’t expect there to be a 3rd verse but here it iz, and it fits right in tha middle—quality wise—between tha 1st and 2nd verse. My Rating: 3.4

04. “Show ‘Em Ur Grown”
>>> Beat could go either way fa me; cool underground or a bad way to get on tha East Coast’s dick. Tha 1st verse sounds somewhat-interestin’ and tha beat iz gettin’ betta…; I’ll consider this a plus. Tha 2nd verse sounds good wit tha lyrics; how will tha 3rd verse—if there iz one—goes? Sounds like an outro, lol? Actually, it sounds good; feelin’ tha Louisiana dialect. My Rating: 3.8

05. “Dealing Wit A Mack” Feat. Jao
>>> Scary vocal start? Must be “Jao” since Jumbo shouted “Jao” out? Sounded like it, at first, wit tha 1st ¼ of it. What happened at :44 - :45? Sounds like how my computer used ta fuck up on iTunes durin’ 2009 – 2010 (double-checked to make sure it was tha song). Anyway, tha 1st verse sounds a lil’ betta; this ain’t too bad, overall. Tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ aight; rhymes are a lil’ catchy… My Rating: 3.6

06. “Get U Sum”
>>> Oh, “Vacherie” (pronounced “Vach-er-ie”); thought it was pronounced “Vack-er-ie,” off first thoughts, lol. Anyway, tha hook sounds good; thumbs up fa Jumbo on tha intro… Tha rhymes on tha 1st verse are catchy; thumbs up fa tha catchiness… Damn, this song’s about five minutes long; must be a lil’ more serious? I’m likin’ dis 2nd verse; a betta-soundin’ voice ta hold verses down! Tha 3rd verse sounds just as good! Wodieson seems ta have tha crown for Vacherie, in my opinion, since I first heard tha town name from him. But, y’all seem ta take tha word ta another level, since y’all ‘discovered’ me. Slowly thinkin’ tha lyrics in tha 3rd verse ain’t really fa me so I feel dat tha 2nd verse gets tha crown fa dis song. My Rating: 3.7

½time: Sounds like an average CD dat’s stayin’ on a steady level; 3.7 for tha CD rating, currently.

07. “Dat There”
>>> Sounds like a good, online beat; catchy hook and tha verses are somewhat-catchy, which makes me think this has mainstream potential… My Rating: 3.8

08. “Fresh”
>>> Glad this iz “2011” and dat y’all didn’t wait ta get in touch wit me/give it ta me! Tha beat iz aight, here; tha 1st verse iz okay—nothin’ mindblowin’. Tha hook sounds like it could be catchy; I dunno, but somethin’ tells me dat this could be some memorable music… I think ‘cause I’m gettin’ some “Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 1” vibes, here, wit tha unknown/new sound dat’s only average! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ a lil’ betta… My Rating: 3.6

09. “Bumpers & Grills”
>>> Unless dat’s a catchy beat sound chopped up, I might like it ‘cause tha sounds, ‘emself, might’ve turned out a lil’ gay if it was a full-soundin’ sound fa tha beat… Anyway, rhymes are only decent; slowly startin’ ta lose interest in dis, especially since dis iz pretty long… I do think tha hook’s somewhat-cool wit tha “chop” style. My Rating: 3.5

10. “Ur Toothless”
LOL? >>> Sounds like a cliché start wit tha “you don’t really want war wit a soldja”? Female on tha 2nd ½ of tha hook? Iz dat Wingfella Hawk (not sure if dat was a gurl)? A lil’ confused, lol… Anyway, rhymes are soundin’ a lil’ betta, here; I’m likin’ what I’m hearin’ on tha 2nd verse between tha voice and tha catchy rhymes… A 3rd verse slipped in, here, and it’s on some catchy shit, once again! LOL, this iz my favorite song, currently? My Rating: 3.9

11. “Hater R You”
>>> This iz a complete downhill wit how tha beat sounds fa me; even some gay vocals on tha hook/sample? Rhymes are only okay for me…; okay, tha 2nd verse iz a lil’ betta wit some punchlines… ROFL, no 3rd verse; ironic! My Rating: 2.6

12. “Outro”
What’s #13, then? >>> Okay outro from Jumbo… Tha song’s start iz aight wit tha hook; why tha volume change, immediately? Beat’s nothin’ special fa me; a lil’ on tha Chicago tip (Slum Village/Kanye West-soundin’ shit)… Tha 1st verse sounds pretty nice wit tha rhymes but nothin’ ta get me fully interested fa a song… I like tha crowd outta nowhere, lol… Tha 2nd verse has some good rhymes, too; I think I’ll give this a lil’ bit of props… My Rating: 3.6

13. “Bumpers & Grills (Chopped & Screwed Version)”
Okay, let’s see what we got… >>> Thought it would be a radio edit but it’s a chopped-and-screwed version of “Bumpers & Grills”; nice!! My Rating: 3.8

Overall: Only one wack song fa me; all of tha others were on a decent/above average level. I didn’t love any of tha songs but y’all maintained a quality-soundin’ mixtape, at least. I wonder what dis promo disc has in store fa me next…? Oh yea, forgot ta mention dat Da Cru was featured in here, somewhere…

Rankings:

13. “Hater R You” 2.6
12. “Youth So Cold” Feat. Wingfella Hawk 3.4
11. “Bumpers & Grills” 3.5
10. “Outro” 3.6
09. “Fresh” 3.6
08. “Dealing Wit A Mack” Feat. Jao 3.6

Review #955: Wodieson (Wodie On The Beat) "Da Money Train Comin' (Hosted by DJ Fletch)"

Reviewed on 5.25.2011 (Review #955)

Here’s my 4th review for today, thanx to gettin’ it in tha mail: Wodieson (Wodie On The Beat)—‘preciate you sendin’ me it—Da Money Train Comin’ (Hosted by DJ Fletch)! Reppin’ Vacherie hard wit how you’ve been comin’ through!! Start Time: 4:12 PM | End Time: 4:48 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Money Train” Feat. Jimi Burke & Yung Reese
Let’s start dis thang off!! >>> Nice intro; I can assume you produced every joint on here! At least for dis “money” joint, you have tha tightness and catchiness, as always, whether it’s hooks, beats, and/or rappin’! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, here, too; you got a good clique of people wit you, Wodie! Listenin’ to tha 3rd verse, now, and it’s good, too; again, gotta rep dat 225 hard! My Rating: 4.3

02. “I Don’t Know” Feat. Jimi Burke & Mod Productions
Keepin’ it goin’… >>> I like how your beat tag repeated in tha beginning, ya dig? Ooh, tha hook sounds hot, almost like a Savage hook! Ooh, repeatin’ of “where dey do dat at;” sounds good! Nice job wit tha 1st verse, here; gotta have a family fulla distinctive, various verses! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good, too; glad you got Jimi & Mod on dis shit! Ooh, you’re on tha 3rd verse; I like how you sound on dis shit wit your character, ya heard me? My Rating: 4.4

03. “Everywhere I Go” Feat. Jimi Burke
>>> Anotha joint dat keeps tha consistency comin’ along!! Anotha hook from you dat sounds like it’s tha shit; real glad I got a hard copy of dis CD and dat you holdin’ it down! LOL, you used a lil’ A-Tune on tha 1st verse? Can’t picture dat only ‘cause you look like a huge dude and when A-Tune comes into play, it kinda sounds like someone playin’ wit demselves… WTH @ tha 2nd verse from Jimi: “when I was young, my tighty whities had *screwed voice* skid marks;” huh????!!!!???? :confused ROFL! I guess ‘cause tha hook says, “everywhere I go, I’m da shit;” de-scrip-tive, lol! Now, here you are on tha 3rd verse, Wodie, as you can’t be denied! My Rating: 4.3

04. “Yoshi” Feat. Jimi Burke & C-Loc
LOL, you know I know dis one, and a music video’s out for it. I think this iz pretty interestin’ fa a “Yoshi” song; it was “Yoshi” fever/mania since dis song touched down durin’—I believe—last November! Everywhere you looked, a “Yoshi” appeared, lol! All tha verses sound good and it introduced me ta Jimi Burke, who sounds betta these dayz. LOL, you know if C-Loc had ta jump on dis, he had ta deliver some nice X-rated-type shit, which iz a plus! I think this was my least-rated song on my 5th mixtape compilation but on here, tha mood seems betta… My Current Rating: 4.0

05. Hustler (Skit)
Ooh, you threw a skit in here! >>> Thought Lil’ Ganggsta was in tha beginning, here; sounds like an interestin’ skit by a train, lol. Good job wit comin’ through wit a skit; hope anotha one’s on here! My Rating: N/A

06. “Hustlin’” Feat. Lil’ Ganggsta, Lil’ Ruthless & Phil D
Phil D on tha hook (interestin’ listin’ on tha back cover)? Let’s hear dis combo! >>> Ooh, nice beat from you, Wodie; good sounds, too! Tha hook sounds good fa tha hustlaz, “hustlin’” hard! LOL @ all those “H” words I just said in a row! Hearin’ Lil’ Ganggsta on dis shit and he sounds good; always focused as a muddafukka, lol! Tha final verse iz Lil’ Ruthless; you know he collaborates great on Lil’ Ganggsta’s jointz so dis one doesn’t disappoint, either! My Rating: 4.4

07. “Make Sumthin’ Shake”
No defense, lol? It’s only you, lol? >>> Of course, this sounds just as hot! Glad there’s a song wit just you; you can shine by yourself on my radio show fa 3:12! Tha beat’s definitely keepin’ my attention high and I’m glad I’m hearin’ about your past, here, as well as tha present! My Rating: 4.3

08. Mod Productions Drop
Shit yea! >>> Sounds real nice; glad he has positive self-esteem, lol! I remember how he said, “ya heard me,” on tha phone; sounds just like on tha phone, lol! My Rating: N/A

09. “It Gotta Be” Feat. Mod Productions & IL Duce
:tu >>> This sounds nice wit Mod on tha hook and how dis shit’s combinin’ wit your production and two cents, Wodie! Ooh, Mod rappin’ on tha 1st verse, wit a “Denzel movie” perspective; dumb shit! LOL, here you are on tha 2nd verse, demanin’ people ta “go ta jail” fa “hatin’ on [you];” get ‘em, Wodie! Get ‘em wit your attitude, lol! “They should get struck by lightnin’;” damn, keep dis goin’!! :rofl Of course, ta add ta tha tightness and threats, add IL Duce on tha 3rd verse; definitely somethin’ nice, here! LOL, this iz my favorite on dis mixtape, currently; can it hold it down? “’Bout ta hit tha fuckin’ lottery;” tell ‘em—and me, Duce, lol!! My Rating: 4.5

½time: This iz a jammin’-ass CD, currently; all tha songs go hard, resultin’ in you ta have a 4.3 for tha CD rating, currently!!!

10. “Come Out” Feat. Lil’ Ganggsta & Mod Productions
Anotha hot collaboration!! >>> Oh, I rememba dis and I believe I rated this under a 3.0? Damn, it sounds much betta now!! Tha hook’s nice wit how you handle it, Wodie; good-ass shit! Ganggsta’s soundin’ good on tha 1st verse, too; definitely an improvement on this listen!! LOL, you’re comin’ through wit your character, here, doin’ tha damn thang! Mod adds a nice lil’ touch to tha 3rd verse, too; gotta keep it consistent! My Current Rating: 4.1

11. “Keep It 100” Feat. Mod Productions
Dat’s right! >>> Oh, took a break from producin’ and let Mod produce? Let’s see how dis switch sounds… Dis sounds more like an intro track for a CD; lol, it has an extra “1” on tha tracklisting, now, since it’s #11. For tha hook, it sounds good wit an unsourced Mod Productions on it; he lays tha hook down nice, in a smooth way! You know I gotta fuck wit my boy Mod, ya feel me? Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit your knowledge; tell ‘em! You keepin’ shit goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, discussin’ your past; gotta feel it! My Rating: 4.0

12. Club Suga Daddy’s (Skit)
Yes! >>> LOL, there’s always an A or A+ wit tha dialogue on these skits!! Feelin’ like they goin’ by so fast; thumbs up fa dis! My Rating: N/A

13. “Throw Dis Money” Feat. Mr. Marcus & Jimi Burke
Let’s hear how good dis iz! >>> LOL, intro made me feel like dis iz bound ta be “Yoshi (Part 2)”, lol! Tha hook sounds pretty catchy from whoeva dis Marcus dude iz; anotha catchy “money” song by y’all! Dat Marcus dude’s on tha 1st verse, too, comin’ through fa err-body, here! Here you are on tha 2nd verse and lol, you sound entertainin’, here, wit err-thang you got goin’ on; who knows what’ll come outta ya mouth next!! Endin’ tha song wit tha 3rd verse from Jimi Burke, comin’ through wit some consistent rhymes, too! My Rating: 4.0

14. “My Shit Don’t Stink” Feat. Mayham & Lil’ Ganggsta
I played dis on my radio show a couple weeks ago and it definitely applied real good; you know why? ‘Cause I shitted on a rapper dat didn’t show me luv by keepin’ it real online and decided to ignore me and write other people; definite no-no!! :td I even announced it on tha radio, as I said, “my s*** did stink, earlier, when I discovered dat there was a rapper underneath it; ahhh, feel so much betta!” Yet, tha artist complains dat they don’t get luv shown ta dem; uh, fuck no?!? Anyway, glad this iz here and I finally got ta source you on it, since you are on tha hook (as well as tha beat); glad you put dis anthem on here! Err-body been goin’ “hard” on dis—pillz or rappin’, lol! My Current Rating: 4.7

15. “Live & Effect” Feat. Mayham & Lil’ Ganggsta
Glad you got tha “effect” spelled correctly, here! Anyway, knew I knew dis one ‘cause of tha collaboration!! Mayhem (really spelled “am”?) dat dude!! I called dis “My Shit Don’t Stink (Part 2)”, lol! Once again, great way ta follow up “My Shit Don’t Stink”, especially on dis mixtape, directly, lol! Err-body doin’ tha damn thang to tha fullest!! My Current Rating: 4.5

16. Relationship (Skit)
>>> As I like ta say, “fuck bein’ in ‘relationships’;” gotta do err-thang solo!!! Dat’s why I’m so successful wit what I do!! My Rating: N/A

17. “So Wrong” Feat. Young Pee & El Capitol
>>> A lil’ scary wit tha hook but it can be a lil’ on tha good side… Here you are on tha 1st verse, recoverin’ from a situation; I feel dat. Actually, I’m recoverin’ from somethin’, too, when a gurl didn’t come to my radio show afta I woke up at 4:30 AM, radio-edited my ass off, was late, and had a show planned; heart-breakin’! :( Tha 2nd verse sounds aight; I like what you delivered betta, Wodie… Ooh, a 3rd verse, here, and it contributes ta dis track in a more-descriptive way, since there are three people on here. My Rating: 3.7

18. Outro
Not a song? Let’s see what’s good, here! >>> Good thing you’re talkin’, here, shoutin’ out “DJ Fletch, U.V. Boyz, Elvin,” and more! Also, shout out ta me, ya dig? Glad you shouted out more people, too; err-body reppin’ hard fa you, Wodie! My Rating: N/A

Overall: Definitely a nice, consistent lineup of jointz you got here, Wodie; sendin’ shit in tha mail iz what’s up and it applied here on tha review!

Review #874: Wodie On The Beat & Mod Productions "Tell 'Em Like It Is"

Reviewed on 3.20.2011 (Review #874)

Shout out ta Hawk/InkIncBR fa hookin’ me up wit my first-eva InkIncBR’d mixtape covers!! Couldn’t’ve asked fa betta!! Wit dat bein’ on my mind, let’s get into this review: Wodie On The Beat & Mod Productions, collaborating on Tell ‘Em Like It Is; Wodieson & Mod collaboratin’ on dis one! Start Time: 5:32 PM | End Time: 6:01 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Intro”
>>> ROFL, “2007”? Should be interestin’, regardless. Tha cover does look a lil’ oldish, too. Sounds like Mod rappin’, here; good for ’07… LOL, Wodie comin’ outta nowhere wit his voice and style, lol. My Rating: 3.8

02. “Tellem Like It Is”
>>> Regardless of tha age, tha Mod beat tag’s still there. Sounds a lil’ like Yung Joc, a lil’, wit Mod. Tha beat’s interestin’, so y’all rhymes go off, here! My Rating: 4.0

03. “Checkout My Swagga” Feat. Lil’ Ganggsta & City Boy of UV
>>> Wodie beat and I’m likin’ this one betta; tha “blue dolphins” definitely sound tight fa dis kinda joint… and, Wodie, lol! City Boy’s on tha 2nd verse, soundin’ a lil’ like you, Wodie, lol. No Mod on this one but surprise: Lil’ Ganggsta, lol! He crazy wit dis ‘pill’ talk, lol! Gotta luv it!! My Rating: 4.3

04. “She Look Good 2 Me”
>>> Sounds more like a Mod beat, mainly goin’ off tha intro. I’m likin’ dis style; feelin’ all tha clap-type shit in tha beat! Tha hook’s hot, too; you know what it iz! Tha rhymes are good fa dis kinda joint, too; props… My Rating: 4.1

05. “Ain’t Nothing”
>>> Not an original beat; this doesn’t sound like it even belongs here! For a gay A-Tune start, doesn’t seem ta stick on tha track, luckily. However, wit tha aight rhymes, this ain’t that up-‘n’-up fa me. My Rating: 2.8

06. “Fallin’ In Luv” Feat. Cat & Lil’ Ganggsta
>>> This sounds like a scary hook, too, but it’s a lil’ catchy at tha same time. This iz “fallin’,” not “fallen,” ‘cause tha “hoes” are currently “fallin’ in luv,” not have “fallen in luv,” ya dig? Tha Cat dude sounds pretty-good wit tha rappin’, here. Damn, Wodie almost sounds like Ganggsta/vice-versa, here, lol! Got confused ‘til I heard tha 3rd verse… Anyway, glad Ganggsta makin’ more contributions, too; thumbs up! My Rating: 3.4

07. “Watch Me Do My Thang” Feat. Wild Wigg & Lil’ Charlez
>>> No features listed but y’all said, “Lil’ Charlez,” in tha beginning; I assume he’s featured? Tha hook’s really simple but it’s good… I’m puttin’ Charlez on tha feature, since I hear a different dude on tha 1st verse. Actually, it’s both Wild Wigg & Lil’ Charlez; good collaboration! Thumbs up ta err-body doin’ they “thang,” lol! My Rating: 3.7

½time: A 3.7-rated CD, currently… Most of tha shit sounds after-’07 fa me, at times.

08. “Do My Lil’ Dance” Feat. Lil’ O & Mayham
Don’t think I’ll go fa dis one, even though I like tha 985 collaboration… >>> A Wodie beat. Almost sounds like Ganggsta; dat Wodie, lol!! Tha hook ain’t too bad but unfortunately, tha 1st verse iz wack for me; it’s this subject! Tha 2nd verse’s a lil’ betta; Mod? Actually, wasn’t bad… Mayham sounds good on tha 3rd verse; I guess it was just tha 1st verse dat didn’t fit. LOL @ tha “dis ain’t no bunny hoppin’;” fa real, lol? My Rating: 2.9

09. “Way Out Of Line”
>>> A Mod beat; this iz an interestin’ hook and beat combo! Gotta luv dat Wodie on tha verse contributions, lol!! My Rating: 4.0

10. “Dat Good Lyfe” Feat. Cat & L Ceezy
>>> Can’t deal wit tha scary hook; completely ruins tha mood I could’ve had fa dis song. SMH, why iz this song over five minutes long? Tha verse are decent but damn, gay-ass background vocals? My Rating: 2.3

11. “Cross Here”
>>> Okay, I can see tha oldness, now. Heard this Mod beat many times but this must be tha original version of it. Tha hook’s good but unfortunately, gotta give it up ta tha 1st time I heard it on an ’08 CD by V.I.P. Da Outlaw. Overall, this iz a decent/good song. My Rating: 4.2

12. “Red Monkeys” Feat. Ms. Chelsea, Yung Reese, DJ Redd Stylezz & Mr. Marcus
Interestin’ collab… >>> Different Wodie tag? Oh yea, it’s ’07, now. This ain’t dat bad… Not really inta tha female’s verse, here. Tha dude doin’ tha hook and tha 2nd verse sounds tight! Dat voice holds dis shit down! LOL, tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse dude sounds like Lil’ Ruthless? Must be one of tha featured dudes. DJ Redd Stylezz on tha 3rd verse? Just a guess; he says, “red,” a lot, lol. My Rating: 3.5

13. “Ass Ackin’” Feat. Carleon & Lil’ Ganggsta
>>> LOL, likin’ dis title and tha hook! Ganggsta on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some lol-drunk shit, lol. Definitely somethin’ I like ta hear; thumbs up ta tha collaboration! Anotha tight voice ta hold shit down: Carleon! Who’s on tha 3rd verse? Or, iz it a different voice, alias style? My Rating: 4.4

14. “Give It All 2 U” Feat. Mist Rags
>>> I don’t think I gon waste my time wit dis one! However, Mist Rags sounds a lil’ betta. My Rating: 1.8

15. Outro
>>> Good ending. My Rating: N/A

Overall: Good/decent at times except tha gay-ass A-Tune shit. I like how there were a good list of features, too!
