Review #1,884: Dice "Scratavachi"

Reviewed on 12.20.2019 (Review #1,884)

Dice Scratavachi’s my next review, released in 1999 on Mr. Tee Records! I don’t have work today, so if it looked like I took a long break, I fell asleep 2x & was tryna produce a remix. However, gonna be reviewin’ all night! Start Time: 8:24 PM | End Time: 9:44 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “My World”
>>> Dope production, as well as tha quick verse ta kick thangz off! Gotta luv it! Tha lil’ hook at tha end’s pretty dope, too; such a grimy dude you iz! My Rating: 4.7

02. “Shut ‘Em Down”
>>> Started off right away & you sound pretty dope on tha 1st verse, here, doin’ tha damn thang on this undaground-soundin’ beat…! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice ta hear; you know what it iz… Comin’ through like tha “freight train,” on tha 2nd verse, here, keepin’ this hot shit comin’; nice job…! Got tha 3rd verse goin’ on, here, keepin’ tha “gangsta rap” alive, as it “neva dies,” like you say; thumbs up! My Rating: 4.6

03. “Special Man”
>>> Likin’ tha lil’ beginning, here; nice skit & intro music… Beat’s pretty nice ta rap on fa tha streetz, here; you got this shit on lock! Feelin’ what you bringin’ to tha grimy, undaground streetz! Hearin’ tha hook and yeah, gotta do what you “know,” ya heard me?! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice; a gangsta tale at its finest! Keepin’ this street shit on lock wit tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit all these connections; definitely hot, here…! My Rating: 4.3

04. “Rawhide”
>>> This shit sounds dope; I hear tha N’awlinz rap in tha music & shit…! Nice job wit tha hook from tha deeper voice, on this track…! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & shit sounds nice, here; good shit…! Keepin’ it up on this beat with tha 2nd verse, soundin’ pretty nice, as well… Tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ dope, as well! Got tha “Girbauds” & tha “Polo,” as well; dope shit! Even mo ta offer as tha track finna end; good shit…! My Rating: 4.2

05. “My Soldja”
>>> Scary street scene of a “187,” here! Intense…! Then, a soulful-soundin’ beat; will it be a depressin’ song? Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like a good lil’ real-life story about tha usual dude in tha streetz; good job… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s good, thanx to your grimy voice; doesn’t sound too depressin’… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it ain’t bad, as you keep this shit goin’… Mo shit ta offer on tha 3rd verse, as you give us people hope ta continue thinkin’ positive; that’s what I gon do! A lil’ bit of a long outro ta end this off… Not too bad fa a depressin’ song; I’ll put it above a 3.5… My Rating: 3.6

06. “Whoa Now”
>>> Sounds like an anthem wit this beat start/fanfare, as well as how you’re comin’ through on tha 1st verse… Tha hook sounds like a sample or somethin’ with how tha dude sings it; a lil’ upbeat, so I digz it… Likin’ how tha chicks sing tha title part; always think of my Morganza dude, P.I.R., with his, “Whoa na!” Keepin’ this shit goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear, here… Seems like tha rest of this drags on; kinda long of hooks & shit? My Rating: 3.7

07. “Heavenly Father”
>>> This sounds more on tha depressin’ tip, accordin’ to tha female vocalizin’ on tha hook… Even tho tha keys in tha beat (sounds like a sample?) sounds hot, I’ono how I gon feel about this, overall… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s okay; female kinda makes me feel uncomfortable… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad; just not inta tha depressin’ vibe… Tha 3rd verse ehh—wow, this 5:31? Way too long; coulda ended now…! Got tha 4th verse goin’ on and it’s more shit to keep this shit draggin’ along… My Rating: 2.1

½time: Other than tha song I just listened to, it seems like this CD’s pretty dope, with some gutta-ass content fa tha streetz! Great job, Dice! A 3.9-rated CD, so far; let’s keep it goin’!

08. “Throwed Off”
>>> This track’s 8:10?! Well, it has an intro, here, that sounds like a show or somethin’? Okay, at 2:07, tha track starts… It sounds like a nice G-Funk beat; let’s see how tha rappin’ iz… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s pretty nice wit tha “way” you’re tryin’ ta go, here, in life…; good shit! Tha hook transitions nicely with this, as well; keep this continuous shit goin’! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice ta hear, as well; streettastic! Sounds like a collab between you & some1 else, on tha 3rd verse, soundin’ dope fa tha streetz, again…! Got a 4th verse goin’ on, here & it’s pretty dope; you know what it iz! My Rating: 4.4

09. Intro II
>>> Sounds good with tha crowd & how this sounds more like an interlude; nice beat, too… My Rating: N/A

10. “Run The Streets”
>>> Beat sounds nice ta rap on, fa tha undaground, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ nice; sounds like a long time before ’99? Tha hook cool wit that dude singin’; feelin’ how he says tha title… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & you keepin’ this shit goin’; not bad/good… A crowd roars & then, you get back to tha rappin’, here… Tha 3rd verse sounds nice, here, as you keep your hustle up, no matter what; sounds good…! My Rating: 4.2

11. “Ghetto Made”
>>> Nice lil’ intro, here, as well as this dope-soundin’ beat! It’s like a siren sound; gotta luv it! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and you deliverin’ this N’awlinz heat; definitely nice! Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on from a feature, here, soundin’ dope ta collab with; good shit! Got tha 3rd verse comin’ from you, here & even tho you “hit tha blunt,” I have ta say, why “think about” all tha demons? It’s all about counteractin’ ‘em! My Rating: 4.3

12. “Westside”
>>> Sounds dope; instantly startin’ wit tha hook, as well as tha hot beat; good shit! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, here… Sounds like a feature on tha 2nd verse, here? Good shit, either way, whomeva they iz… Got a female on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit okay rhymes… Got anotha dude on tha 4th verse, here, as I almost thought it was Master P… Either way, sounds good ta hear, here… My Rating: 4.0

13. “Jackin’”
>>> Sounds like a nice G-Funk vibe, here; good shit! Feelin’ tha 1st verse & how you bring a lotta energy to tha table, here! Keep bein’ hype!! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s soundin’ good wit how you got this “Jackin’” shit on lock; good job! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ nice, too; you know what tha streetz want, ya dig?! Sounds like a feature on tha 3rd verse, here…; definitely feelin’ tha dope vibe! My Rating: 4.4

14. “Hot (Girls/Boys)”
>>> Sounds like some old Biggie in tha beat, here, with “Big Poppa” on tha sample… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it ain’t bad, here… Likin’ tha “Tony the Tiger, it’s feels grrrreat!” part! Got a female on tha hook; sounds hot wit tha hype! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ okay, here; seems like this gon be long? We got 5:05 on tha length… Female on tha 3rd verse, here, feelin’ you, “Dice;” not bad… You join on tha 2nd part of tha 3rd verse, here, in response to tha female wantin’ you to “push inside [her];” dope! “Hit it from da back, bitch;” love how she was so laidback & in tha zone ta say dat to you, Dice! My Rating: 4.1

15. “Boy’s Home”
>>> Now, goin’ wit tha “Get Money” Junior M.A.F.I.A. sample, which Wayne & them used fa “Way Of Life”; nice, I guess? Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like you doin’ a good job, here… Hearin’ mo dudes on tha verse? This energy’s nice… Tha 3rd dude who’s rappin’ fast’s pretty dope; “tha nigga, Bezak,” huh? Did I spell it right? Yeah, hearin’ tha hook and it’s so “Way Of Life” but three years before; dope…! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here… For tha 1st part, it sounds nice; really focused (that dude on tha 3rd part of tha 1st verse?)…! Tha 2nd part of tha 2nd verse’s cool; just regular-soundin’ rappin’, here… Tha 3rd part of tha 2nd verse has tha energy & aggression, just like how tha 1st verse had; good shit! Now, on to tha 3rd verse, here… Tha 1st part’s laidback/regular-soundin’; not bad… Almost thought tha dude on tha 2nd part was Busta Rhymes? Not bad, here… Tha 3rd part wasn’t bad, as well; cool lil’ endin’ track, as well… My Rating: 4.1

Overall: Thought this was a dope release, here; nice job, Dice! Keep up tha great work! Keep bein’ a N’awlinz soulja! You know what it iz! We don’t age wit this rap shit, ya heard me?!

Review #1,651: Boyz Home Records "Ballerz Anthem"

Reviewed on 2.16.2017 (Review #1,651)

Here comes my next review: Boyz Home Records Ballerz Anthem, released in 1998 on Boyz Home Records & was produced by Trini McGee (except #15, which was produced by Richard Jackson & #16, which was produced by DJ Lil’ Daddy)! Start Time: 2:01 AM | End Time: 2:58 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. MC Dice “My Soldja”
>>> A slow start, here, with decent rappin’… Tha hook’s a lil’ ehh and tha other two verses are decent… I’ono about startin’ a compilation off wit a slow, depressin’ song, tho… My Rating: 3.1

02. Trini “Outlaw”
>>> Sounds more upbeat, here; catchy lil’ beginning and ‘90s beat fa tha N.O., here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds aight… It almost sounds like they’re like a Mystikal, here? Funny how he mentioned “Mystikal,” too, just seconds after I said that! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice wit tha Magnolia Shorty “Charlie Whop” reference, too, lol… Diggin’ tha lil’ outro of all tha “soulja rag” chantin’, too… My Rating: 4.1

03. Dollar Bill feat. Bozak & Trini “Ballin’”
>>> Diggin’ tha “It Takes Two” sample in tha background, here, while this decent beat plays… Sounds like indistinct singin’ in tha beginning, here, with this hook? Now, we got rappin’ at :51, on tha 1st verse, soundin’ decent… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, here, but tha track still sounds a lil’ too soft, at times… My Rating: 3.3

04. Dollar Bill feat. 2-Face “Bring It On”
>>> I like how tha beat a lil’ betta wit tha more-upbeat sound, but it still sounds a lil’ quiet, overall… Like, why all that singin’ on tha 2nd verse? Tha 1st verse was decent, by tha way… My Rating: 2.4

05. Nick Newton & Diggy Dice “Interview”
>>> A nice, quick “interview,” here, fa tha ’98… My Rating: N/A

06. 2-Face, Bozak, MC Dice & Trini “Ballerz Anthem”
>>> This sounds much betta wit tha upbeat vibe! Let’s hope it turns out that way!! Tha hook sounds nice wit tha “ballin’,” here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds good wit tha rappin’, here, holdin’ it down fa tha Cash Money Records era… Here’s tha 2nd verse, as dude comin’ through, “huntin’” like a “rabbit!” Tha 3rd verse ain’t too bad, here… As it was a short verse, there’s a 4th verse, here, and it’s decent… My Rating: 3.8

07. Bozak “World Full Of Rapture”
>>> Sounds good, here, wit tha 1st verse and decent beat, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it ain’t bad; a lil’ catchy wit “now, who’s tha nigga who got-got? Now, who’s tha nigga who got shot?”  Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it sounds decent, so far… We got tha 3rd verse, here, and it’s pretty nice, as well… My Rating: 3.7

08. 2-Face & Da Family “Godfather”
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ skit… Random laughter? My Rating: N/A

½time: Sounds decent, so far… A few tracks are a lil’ on tha soft side, while tha other half’s decent… Only a 3.4-rated CD, so far; we can do betta!

09. MC Dice feat. Dollar Bill “Who Ride”
>>> Beat’s plain and ehh fa a West Coast-soundin’ beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it aight… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds nice fa a “ride,” but I’ono how much I can really feel this… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it sounds decent, here… And, we got a 3rd verse, here, soundin’ decent, as well… This joint prolly coulda sounded less plain and I woulda liked it betta, here… My Rating: 3.4

10. Lil’ Kevin a.k.a. Face Jr. “Kidz Tale”
>>> Wow, that was a quick skit; random! My Rating: N/A

11. 2-Face feat. MC Dice “Jealousy”
>>> Sounds decent, here, wit this upbeat beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s on tha calm side? Hearin’ tha hook and it’s random nothingness? Tha 2nd verse just barely decent, fa me; why all these voices soft and quiet, on this CD?? And, a 3rd verse, here, soundin’ decent, but my interest iz pretty low… My Rating: 2.7

12. Tema “I Don’t Want You No More”
>>> A female? Oh, boy, this gon drag!!! Beat sounds like old tracks like “Paid In Full” and all that, here… I’ono, but I have almost “no” interest fa this! More sing-rappin’ than rappin’, here… Finally, a dude rappin’ at 1:53 and he sounds decent… Still, no credit fa tha dude? Who iz he? My Rating: 1.7

13. 2-Face & Dr. Unknown “Chuck Interlude”
>>> Not sure what ta say, here… Almost sounds like a mystery vs. an orgasm, here… My Rating: N/A

14. High Demand “Cheating”
>>> Fuck! A singin’ track? Fuck! Not really in tha mood for one or for one on this CD! Just some ‘90s R&B, here, wit a Mardi Gras-soundin’ beat… Aight, maybe, this a good song fa those “cheating;” that’s it… My Rating: 2.0

15. Crescent City Gangsta “Twerk That Thang”
>>> Beat’s a lil’ on tha soft/plain side, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like dude coulda been a potential, undaground success? Feelin’ tha gangsta’s story, here… Diggin’ tha “Polos, Girbauds” and shit like dat, too! A chick on tha 2nd verse, here? I’ono… Decent, but random/unexpected, here… My Rating: 3.3

16. Tim Smooth “Give It Up”
>>> Already know this one? Sounds like “I Gotsta Have It”… If it iz, then here’s my current rating… My Current Rating: 4.1

Overall: This compilation ain’t go over too well… I ain’t really fuck wit tha soft-soundin’ tracks, here…

01. Intro
What can I expect? Prolly somethin’ good and gangsta, ya dig? >>> Started like it was nothin’, lol! Thumbs up fa makin’ this sound like some horror movie; luv it!! My Rating: N/A

02. “Dice Is Back”
Let’s hear it! >>> Not sure what year this CD really iz: I found it as ’97; mp3 info says ’96; I found ’95 on a site on Google? Anyway, good shit goin’ on here wit tha beat and you sound like a unique rapper wit tha way you deliver shit wit your voice and consistency! Tha hook sounds catchy as fuck wit tha female singin’; whoo, talk about hotness! My Rating: 4.5

03. “Today”
>>> LOL, sounds like you’re wakin’ up; good sound effects—lol, I was right about tha “wakin’ up,” lol! Tha lyrics are good, here; sounds like your version of Ice Cube’s “It Was A Good Day”, Southern style. My Rating: 4.1

04. “All In”
>>> Sounds good; gangsta shit goin’ on, here! “Fa tha ’95;” guess it’s officially ’95. Too bad I didn’t double-check some of these albums’s years; I feel bad fa reviewin’ ‘em in tha wrong time but at least I’m reviewin’ it now. This ain’t too bad wit what’s goin’ on; an okay song… My Rating: 3.8

05. “Growing Up”
>>> I like tha way this song sounds wit tha beat, tha female in tha background, and how you’re deliverin’ tha rhymes, here; nice lyrics fa tha hood, once again. My Rating: 4.0

06. “Roberman II”
>>> Anotha good-soundin’, spooky beat, here! Tha hook sounds catchy; this whole song has an interestin’ lifestyle goin’ on. My Rating: 4.2

08. “Bring It Back”
>>> Likin’ tha dialect in tha intro; good shit dat I’m anticipatin’! Beat sounds like kick-ass @ :14!!! I like tha real-life lyrics, here, wit tha “waitin’ for school” and “playin’ basketball;” gotta luv this type of shit, ya dig? Makes me think of sunset/a nice, orange setting! Tha hook’s pretty catchy; Louisiana fa life!! My Rating: 4.3

½time: A 4.1-rated CD, currently; nice job wit this shit, here!

09. “Tear It Up”
>>> Nice intro… Oh, a short length; iz this a skit? Oh no, it was an intro; glad you’re rappin’, here! Nice job wit tha flow and tha focused rappin’; kickin’ ass wit these rhymes, bruh! My Rating: 4.3

10. “Loaded Nigga”
I think I gon like dis one! >>> Tha beat’s good; this sounds like an aight song, overall… Tha hook sounds good; expected a lil’ betta fa a smokin’ song although I’m enjoyin’ tha chokin’ on tha hook, lol! Now dat I’m up to tha 2nd verse, this iz startin’ ta sound like a jam! Sounds like a great song ta ride to! My Rating: 4.4

11. “G.W.P.”
>>> Sounds like a good, Louisiana-type song fa tha ‘90s. Rhymes are pretty consistent; keep ‘em comin’! My Rating: 3.9

12. “D.F.M.C.”
Anotha letter song, lol. >>> Sounds like a good beat ta jam to… LOL, I thought tha letters were gonna represent tha “Down For My Crown” shit but—oh wait, an “E” in tha title, based off tha mp3 info? Should it be an “F”? It should be labeled as “D.F.M.C.”, not “D.E.M.C.”… Rhymes are pretty hot, here; good shit, includin’ dat you held it down fa a nice 4:25! My Rating: 4.1

13. “D M H Os”
LOL @ tha letters again! >>> Iz tha “H O” part two different letters or “ho’s”? Also, now, instead of an “A”, there’s an “M”? An okay, catchy song fa tha “dog-ass hoes,” lol; nice job from tha mysterious female, too! You luv and hate these “dog-ass hoes,” lol! My Rating: 3.8

14. “Special Man II”
>>> Fits good wit tha other songs, too; not much ta say but it’s a good/decent song. Tha hook sounds catchy wit tha “gotta make dat money” shit. My Rating: 3.8

15. “Lunatic”
Looks like a good title… >>> Nice intro from tha lady… Ooh, I’m likin’ this style; great-soundin’ beat and tha panicked flow! Great lyrics, too; tha hook’s pretty nice wit tha “somethin’s ‘bout ta take ova my mind and soul” line! My Rating: 4.3

16. “Nation Wide”
>>> I like tha rappin’ and lyrics, here; good shit fa tha nite time! My Rating: 4.1

17. “Outro”
Wit 3:07 on tha length, will it be a song? >>> Ooh, it iz; glad you’re rappin’, here. Tha rappin’ sounds pretty consistent and tha beat ain’t too bad… Multiple people on here? Who iz everyone? They all sound pretty good and different wit their good voices and shit they’re offerin’. Who in tha hell iz tha Jamaican dude? My Rating: 4.2

Overall: Nice CD, here! Even though I didn’t have much feedback, at times, you kept it consistent wit no wack songs!
