Review #1,347: Lil' Buck "A Mill B4 The Deal"

Reviewed on 12.06.2013 (Review #1,347)

Next up, I finna review Ruff-N-Rugged Entertainment’s Lil’ Buck A Mill B4 The Deal. Whether I like this or not, this CD seems like a complete waste to me, as it was released a lot earlier in tha year, and I wasn’t even notified, smh. What a complete flop (as far as promotion) from tha Do Da Fool one! Start Time: 5:52 PM | End Time: 6:29 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

© 2013 CD Review (Review #1,347) reviewed on 12.06.2013 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “3D” Feat. Young Soulja
Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this, includin’ J Mil bein’ on tha beat! >>> Sounds cool. Tha beat almost has a Rick Ross-like feel, but wit that Baton Rouge-soundin’ quality! [[[“3D!!!”]]] Nice hook! You sound good on tha 1st verse, here; nice shit! Feelin’ how you comin’ thru on tha 1st verse, feelin’ “3D” at your finest! Here’s Young Soulja on tha 2nd verse, “Live and correct like TV!” Almost sounds like your cousin wit how he comin’ through wit his voice, here… Here you are on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit rhymes that make you feel “good,” as far as your status. I’m still waitin’ ta hear from you—neva talked ta you, yet… My Rating: 4.2

02. “Nyte Lyfe”
HeartBeatz beat! >>> This sounds nice; I like how “they wildin’ on them Mollies!” You sound good on tha 1st verse, here; this that quality music fa tha 225! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, too; can’t complain wit tha quality you’re bringin’ to tha table! SMH @ 2:27 – 2:33; no need for gay-soundin’ vocals!! I shouldn’t’ve opened my mouth about not complainin’ ‘cause I just complained wit dat random a-tune part! My Rating: 4.3

03. “Turn Up”
J Buc beat! >>> Ooh, a bunny hoppin’ on tha beat start; gotta luv tha ideas J Buc comes wit!! Of course, it sounds great, here!! Tha hook’s just some regular party shit, but J Buc’s bunny-hoppin’ beat’s unique and adds excitement to tha track!! Here you are on tha 1st verse, with no “water” needed! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; definitely feelin’ it!! My Rating: 4.6

04. “One Thousand”
HeartBeatz on tha track! >>> Sounds like a good start, here… Why I ain’t get a “shout out”? I feel like I don’t have value wit Louisiana rappers, anymore… :/ I’m likin’ how tha hook sounds on tha hook; good shit! Then again, I can’t relate to these jointz ‘cause I don’t know what a ‘friend’ iz, most of tha time! Kinda like wit how I was promotin’ you, it’s like, most people don’t last more than three years wit me—most only have their ‘year.’ Like, I was offered to make two commercials for you and shit, and then, everything went quiet, outta nowhere. Like, I hope I make a commercial fa this CD; it shouldn’t go to waste!! This was also tha year for artists born in 1984, too, so it’s real ironic that you were quiet, this year! Nice 2nd verse, too, here… LOL @ “without my niggaz, I ain’t shit.” I think “without” people, I’m stronger and better than eva! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Built Like A Horse”
Lil’ P on tha beat… >>> This sounds good; interestin’ title fa tha hoes! Tha 1st verse sounds like you gettin’ it in; nice! I like how you’re referrin’ ta sex as your “dinner” and its “plate” on tha 2nd verse; good shit! My Rating: 4.4

½time: Great CD, so far; no filler!! A 4.4 for tha CD rating, currently!

06. “The Game” Feat. Hollowtip
X Files on tha beat? I assume that’s different from X-Fyle? >>> SMH @ tha error; it iz X-Fyle! Beat sounds nice and gangsta; nice hook, too! Good shit from you on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit dat gangsta shit! I like tha “rat … violent” part! Nice sound from Hollowtip on tha 2nd verse, here! This statistically iz his debuting verse, as this would’ve been tha 1st verse I would’ve heard from him. However, I got his CD, Back At It: The Mixtape Vol. 1, from him, before I could find this—matta fact, I found this CD ‘cause of discoverin’ Hollowtip, I think? Anyway, great Ruff-N-Rugged fam collab! My Rating: 4.4

07. “I’m On It” Feat. Hollowtip
HeartBeatz breathin’ life into tha track, once again! >>> This beat sounds nice, too! Shout out ta Hollowtip on tha intro! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some consistent fiya! Tha hook sounds nice, too! “Dat dumb shit, I’m on it…!” Yes, some Hollowtip on tha 2nd verse, wit “dat fruity in tha blunt!” I like tha “broke my navigation, I say, ‘Fuck it, I gon make a route,’” part! Good shit, Hollowtip! My Rating: 4.5

08. “What Kinda Life” Feat. Young Soulja
J Mil doin’ tha track, this time… >>> I like how tha beat sounds like it’s in tha background, here! Also, you sound great on tha hook, minus tha weird voice (“and, this shit’ll never change”—smh @ tha whiteboy “never” and not neva), that was in there! Got Young Soulja on tha 1st verse, here, comin’ through wit good rhymes. He sounded better on Hollowtip’s CD, but at least there’s no wack vibes, here! Here’s Buck on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, reportin’ tha news that’s fucked up in BR; great lyrics fa tha streetz! My Rating: 4.3

09. “Place Ya Order”
Looks like tha “order” iz a HeartBeatz track! >>> I like tha intro. Also, I like when people say, “Bet,” at tha end of a conversation. It’s like, it looks interestin’ in messaging, but it bein’ said sounds harder ta brainstorm, and sounds more interestin’! Nice hook on this beat, too; thumbs up fa providin’ this “order” fa tha fiends! Also, good shit on tha 1st verse; definitely feelin’ your rhymes, here!! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; gotta feel what you sayin’! And yea, I can see so many who turn “pussy!” I’m dealin’ wit dat shit as we speak! My Rating: 4.4

10. “Nintendo”
Nice way ta end this with a J Mil beat; lookin’ forward ta hearin’!! >>> Wow @ tha beat start ta end thangz off!!! LOL @ tha hook; definitely feelin’ it!! This could easily be tha best joint on here!! Yea, “I play this shit like a game; who want next? Nintendo (Nintendo), Nintendo (Nintendo)!” Whoo, you know I luv these kinda lyrics, too!! Tha 1st verse goin’ hard, like a level in a video game, lol! Speakin’ of “Super Nintendo,” I’m playin’ Secret of Mana for “Super Nintendo,” as we speak! Yea, I be playin’ #TBT video games when I be doin’ these reviewz, ya feel me? Tha 2nd verse’s nice, too! Neva stop grindin’!! My Rating: 4.8

Overall: On tha back cover, it says #11 iz tha “3D” instrumental, but it’s all good, whether it’s on here or not. Anyway, what a great CD!! Only 37 minutes, 37 seconds; perfect length!! No filler, and Buck, you did tha damn-consistent-thang, here! Keep up tha great work! And, stay connected wit me!

Review #1,337: Hollowtip "Back At It: The Mixtape Vol. 1"

Reviewed on 10.30.2013 (Review #1,337)

Keepin’ tha reviewz goin’, I have a Ruff-N-Rugged Entertainment release up next! Yup, comin’ back ta haunt me? Naw, I fuck wit them; just haven’t heard them since last year. But, this a new artist by tha name of Hollowtip! He got a hold of me, so you know I’m lookin’ forward ta this! He 28, and 28 a special age, at tha moment, so I’m even more anticipated! This his latest CD, Back At It: The Mixtape Vol. 1! Let’s get inta this!! Start Time: 11:31 PM | End Time: 12:35 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Wild Out” Feat. Buck
Just “Buck”, now? Lil’ Buck… >>> Feelin’ tha beat, here… Definitely sounds like some great gangsta shit fa tha undaground! Really enjoyin’ tha “wild out” on tha hook!! 1985 baby; tha magic iz in tha age!! Really feelin’ tha 1st verse from you; you’re just warning people tha dangers of fuckin’ wit ya!! “Swangin’ through tha trees;” what an “ape” you iz!! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice from you, too; I really am enjoyin’ what you’re bringin’ to tha table!! Hopefully, I can make some money off of ya, so you can be way ahead of tha other rappers, when it comes ta bein’ promoted!! I’m definitely interested in helpin’ you out!! Buck on tha 3rd verse, here, and he born in ’84—one of tha best years!! Got two of tha best years on tha track, and Buck comin’ through wit dat serious shit! Can’t fuck wit him; you turn into lava pieces!! Mane, this iz a serious track right chea!! My Rating: 4.6

02. “U Don’t Know Me”
!! >>> Whoo @ tha beat start; sounds like somethin’ serious outta dat 225!! I’m real glad you discovered me!! I prolly could’ve done a live review ta this CD, but because I’m so busy—as well as wantin’ ta finally do business wit you—I just wanted to get this review outta tha way. Sounds like some serious shit on tha 1st verse wit tha “Wells Fargo” and “bank!” Was that tha hook? Sounds like it, and here’s tha 1st verse… Breakin’ tha “powerplay!” Nice job!! Here’s tha 2nd verse, and you really gettin’ a nice chunk of “money!” Talk about me: I find money—scratch-off lottery tickets! I’m good at findin’ money! Nice tough outro, too! My Rating: 4.4

03. “Thumbs Up” Feat. Buck
>>> Feelin’ tha beat start, once again!! Tha hook sounds catchy, here; you know how ta come through wit dat tight shit!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it’s pretty nice, here!! Uh oh: From 1:23 – 1:30, you started suckin’ dick wit dat auto-tune! Good thing it was only seven seconds, so it just slides on by, without me havin’ ta take off, like, a whole point or two! Shout out ta tha boy, Buck, on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through like a supastar!! I hope ta talk ta him soon; I was him for Halloween last year, and what do ya know? Halloween 2013’s tomorrow! Great job from him; nice collaboration! My Rating: 4.5

04. “Blood Money”
>>> Not really anticipatin’ tha intro, as it sounds like I’m expectin’ a bad a-tune song, or somethin’… HeartBeatz beat… Hearin’ tha hook, and though I don’t like tha title/topic, as well as there bein’ some a-tune on tha hook, I think I can slightly deal with this. As long as tha verses don’t have it. Then, I gon skip it… Okay, 1st verse ain’t too bad, here, but I think my anticipation’s low… LOL, just got a text from you: “Bet;” you luv textin’ just, “bet,” lol! Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad; y’all want people ta “drink” tha “blood money;” Halloweenness, lol! My Rating: 3.7

05. “Ride Wit Me”
>>> Damn, not anotha a-tune hook! This iz startin’ ta be too much, though this ain’t that bad, either… Then again, I dunno if I can get “high” off of an a-tune’d voice! Weird, not-listed people singing! Anyway, here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some okay rhymes. They’re not tha best, and tha beat’s only aight fa me, here… C’mon, where’s tha really-great vibes from tha 1st three songs? Tha rest of this iz aight fa me… My Rating: 3.4

06. “9 To 5”
>>> Kinda a long intro, here, clockin’ in at 30 seconds fa an okay start… Okay, hearin’ tha hook and it sounds a lil’ exciting wit this girl “poppin’!” Tha 1st verse ain’t that bad, here… I think this iz an okay song, overall; nothin’ has really struck my attention like tha 1st three songs, so far… Tha 2nd verse sounds like you’re real focused… It’s like, does any rapper have a problem wit “fuckin’?” Seems like it’s so easy fa y’all; I dunno… My Rating: 4.0

07. “#MollyWorld”
>>> Came into tha 1st verse outta nowhere… Sounds like tha vibe’s good, here; feelin’ tha energy! Ooh, I’m likin’ tha hook a lot from you!! Sounds like you have a lot of energy!! Gotta luv this “#MollyWorld” y’all goin’ to!! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too! Whoo, this joint’s fulla energy!! This iz what them previous jointz needed!! “Spaceships!!” My Rating: 4.5

08. “Get 2 It” Feat. Lil’ Yung
>>> Anotha great vibe; it’s all about gettin’ loaded and shit! Nice job wit tha hook; glad you luv tha “mollies!” BTW, what are they like? Gotta luv ya fa dat! Nice job wit tha 1st verse, here; glad you got all tha energy, once again!! As long as you feel like a big boss ta me, as well as someone who I’m dyin’ ta meet, then you’ll win everytime! Didn’t know what ta expect wit tha Yung person on tha 2nd verse (almost thought it was gonna be a girl, like Lil’ Yungin), but it’s a dude, and he sounds tight! Almost sounds like Big Wayne’s brother, J.D., but a lil’ older? Dude tha shit; glad he feelin’ fucked up from all this shit! Yea, not “bandz,” here! It’s all about dem “xanz!” “Xanz a make her dance,” lol! Tha 3rd verse from you’s nice, here; gotta feel it!! “Toilet-bowl niggaz,” huh? Wow, you really rule ‘em all!! My Rating: 4.4

½time: So far, this CD sounds real great ta me!! Just a lil’ decent around tha middle of tha 1st ½, but for what I’m hearin’, I mainly luv!! A 4.2-rated CD, currently!! Now, let’s see if I can call and get a hold of you ta tell you what’s up… Okay, got a hold of you and I’m glad you appreciate me supportin’ you!!

09. “Red Light” Feat. Delwin The Krazyman & Buck
>>> Fuck, WTF? Title switch! This iz “Red Light”; dammit! You tricked me, and now, I almost had ta listen ta Delwin fa a sec.! Thank God, I was able to skip him in time! Tha previous review I did had a mixed-up tracklist; I didn’t think it would lead inta this, too… Anyway, this Q-Red-produced track’s soundin’ nice! Hearin’ Buck on tha 2nd verse, and it sounds pretty nice; he doin’ tha damn thang, here!! Glad you’re here, finally! You’re comin’ through on tha 3rd verse wit some hype shit! Don’t you just luv Q-Red beats, huh? He been M.I.A. for a while; haven’t even talked ta him in, like, three years… Lot has changed since then, for me! “Ruff-N-Rugged” in tha building; good shit!! My Rating: 4.5

10. “Dumb$hit”
>>> Glad it was just a title swap. This iz “Dumb$hit”, and it sounds nice and energetic wit tha beat and hook!! Damn, you so good wit showin’ off your energy!! Tha 1st verse sounds nice, here; definitely feelin’ what you got goin’ on, here!! Damn, really gutta wit tha 2nd verse, here; gotta luv ya!! Wow, this iz a crazy-ass joint!!! My Rating: 4.8

11. “Do It” Feat. Lil’ Trell
>>> Anotha really-hype song; “do it!! Do it!! Do it!!” Wow, you’re real crazy wit it!! Tha 1st verse sounds great, here; dumbshit!! Tha 2nd verse iz this Trell dude, and he sounds great, too! Sounds like a friend you grew up wit, since they have that hunger in their voice, like you do? Definitely feelin’ them; keep ya eyes open!! My Rating: 4.5

12. “LeBron James”
Capital “B”! >>> Real nice beat start, here!! Kinda sounds like I wanna play Ahh! Real Monsters, or somethin’, lol? Oh, it’s Young Hustla on tha beat; thumbs up fa hookin’ up wit him fa a track! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and I’m glad you stickin’ to tha topic, here, of “LeBron James!” You really own everythang!! Here’s tha 2nd verse… You’re comin’ through wit some gutta shit, at its finest!! Mane, I got a lotta luv fa you, bruh!! I definitely think you’re on ya way ta bein’ “tha best up in tha game!” If it don’t happen in tha undaground or mainstream, I know that you gon hold a title in my book!! Nice outro, too; keep holdin’ tha “fort” down!!! My Rating: 4.4

13. “Murder Game”
>>> Nice beat, and you comin’ through wit an energetic style, once again, fa tha hood, here, on tha hook! Tha 1st verse sounds good, too, really servin’ like “Serena!!” Tha 2nd verse sounds great, too; you really holdin’ shit down to tha fullest!!! My Rating: 4.5

14. “4 Golds” Feat. Young Soulja
Lookin’ forward ta this Ruff-N-Rugged collaboration!! >>> Yea!! Feelin’ tha hook; Soulja “fulla dem pillz” wit you!! Damn, I gotta hook up wit him, too!! Gotta show him tha most luv!! Here he iz on tha 1st verse, comin’ through like a real gangsta should!! Damn, Soulja really holdin’ this shit down!! Damn, you comin’ through on tha 2nd verse in a strong way, too!! This iz what Baton Rouge ‘pose ta sound like!! Fuck all those wannabees tryna change up sounds like wack-ass other coasts!! And, not ta mention, gotta luv tha “golds” in tha “grill!!” Haven’t seen “golds” in a “grill” since, like, October 6, 2007—tha only day I saw ‘em! Sucks that I don’t get ta see much from tha south. :( My Rating: 4.8

15. “1 Life, 1 Luv”
>>> I’m feelin’ how this sounds; it has a bit of a calmer sound, but your hunger’s still here! Nice job wit tha hook, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it sounds like you’re really here ta cater ta ya “people!” Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and this “shit” you’re providin’ iz tha “shit!” And yea, I “can sniff it, too,” and boi, do you stank bad, Hollowtip, ya heard me!?! Whoo!!! Mane, your “shit” iz soooo strong, you gon kill all your haterz!!! My Rating: 4.3

16. “Born Ruff N Rugged”
Looks like a bonus, as tha album says, Ruff-N-Rugged Compilation (Da Mixtape) Vol. 1. Anyway, not sure if I gon be anticipated fa this, due to a part of tha features… >>> Sounds like a familiar joint ta end this, wit a Tupac-soundin’ beat remake, too… Nice job wit tha hook!! Hearin’ you also on tha 1st verse, and you sound pretty tight, here! Yea, “cool as a fan;” gon dedicate a lot of my time ta you, I know it (hopefully)!! Thumbs up fa still “sellin’ drugs” and shit; don’t give up on bein’ you! I hate dudes when they be changin’ and shit!! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and it sounds good from you. LOL, where are all tha features? It says that Delwin The Krazyman, Ceddybu Da Rap Sumo, Buck & Young Soulja are on this, but it’s just you? Weird… My Rating: 4.2

Overall: Great CD, bruh!! You definitely did a nice job wit this one!!! Keep up tha great work!! Now that tha review’s over, it’s time ta do some business!! And, as hectic as my schedule iz, you know I stop doin’ what I’m doin’ ta help you out, ya feel me?!

Review #1,196: Lil' Buck "Do Da Fool (The Mixtape)"

Reviewed on 9.23.2012 (Review #1,196)

Lemme get into anotha review while I’m almost ahead: Ruff-N-Rugged Entertainment’s Lil’ Buck Do Da Fool (The Mixtape); figured I’d discover and review this, since they’ve done great business wit me, recently! Start Time: 11:58 AM | End Time: 12:56 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! © 2012 CD Review (Review #1,196) reviewed on 9.23.2012 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Roll Call” Feat. Young Soulja
I’m gonna do my best to read these production credits on tha back… Prolly could’ve used a different color, drop shadow, and increased tha tiny size of ‘em… It looks like it’s HeartBeatz? >>> It iz… Hearin’ tha hook right here, and it sounds like you’re representin’ fa tha streetz, here; good job wit tha hook! Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and you’re comin’ through fa tha streetz, here; definitely likin’ this beat wit your rhymes! Sounds like a street jam! Let’s hear this Soulja on tha 2nd verse… Sounds like a relative or close friend of yours? Some mo good shit ta offer fa these BR streetz! Got you on tha 3rd verse, and it’s strictly “beefin’”? I don’t get how people always luv gettin’ into “beefin’”—I’m talkin’ about engagin’ in it! As I’ve been bullied all my life, just treat it as underration. My Rating: 4.4

02. “Duffy” Feat. Max Minelli
LOL @ “Max Pain” as listing his name… Mississippi/Baton Rouge’s Lowkee on tha production, here. >>> Sounds like a good Baton Rouge song and perspective; nice job wit tha hook! Got Max Minelli startin’ off tha 1st verse off, and yes, still on a mission to tha top. I’ll always enjoy this mission, although he should have higher status at all times. Here you are on tha 2nd verse, and I’m likin’ these “flavors” you’re offerin’, here; “Geismar” representin’, to be specific. Keepin’ it goin’ wit you on tha 3rd verse, and more shit ta offer; can’t really say much else… My Rating: 4.3

03. “Good Jug”
Looks like tha same producer… >>> More upbeat-type shit ta offer. Almost looks like a “jug” on tha title, lol, but I know what’s “good,” right here. LOL @ tha “throw it back” shit on tha hook; sounds great ta hear… LOL, you really puttin’ in work on tha 1st verse wit your “big dick” to these ladies. Really, you’re gettin’ it in wit these descriptive lyrics! It’s good to be descriptive; tha more descriptive, tha more interestin’ tha song becomes. I still don’t get how people can instantly get “hoes” like it’s nothin’, as well as all these sexual activities. Anyway, you keepin’ these explicit, entertainin’ rhymes goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, too; thanx for this sex show—oh, sex room scene, I mean, lol! My Rating: 4.4

04. “Dummy” Feat. Bro-Bro & G-Thang
I remember this song from tha Louisianamals CD I recently reviewed; I considered it a remix ‘cause that’s what Bro-Bro said in tha intro. E.P. did tha beat here, and… My Current Rating: 4.4

05. “Ain’t Got Mine” Feat. Ceto
This producer’s name looks kinda chopped up, to where it’s almost censored? Can’t read; will I hear a tag? >>> Heard tha tag, and it’s Q-Red; ouch! Why was I almost blind? *Checks again* Okay, I see #14 has it, too. Anyway, likin’ tha gangsta style bein’ offered on tha hook, once again; can’t deny what you bring to tha table, these P.A.N.s and err-body in-between! Must be Ceto on tha 1st verse (New Orleans’ Ceto?); nice voice fa this shit, and I’m definitely diggin’ tha g-shit he offerin’ to tha table! Here you are on tha 2nd verse, and I love how hard you’re comin’ wit tha rhymes on this beat! Oh, if I can only give feedback on tha beat; my mind knows something’s preventin’ me!! My Rating: 4.5

06. “U Ain’t No Gangsta”
??? >>> Caught tha first two words of their name (“Red Head”?). Anyway, likin’ tha attitude and you talkin’ ‘bout your “learning disability” you have… on tha track. When will rappers mention autism/Asperger’s/autistic shit? Good job provin’ them P.A.N.s wrong on tha hook! “Mutta Gutta wan’ talk shit; bitch, you ain’t ‘bout dat!” Whoa, what happened? I’ll tell you about somethin’ I commented on before, in return! Catchy rhymes comin’ through on tha 2nd verse, too; you really reppin’ for tha hood, here! Even more fuckin’ “up” goin’ on wit tha 3rd verse, like a battle; definitely inta tha perspective of outspoken anger, even though I like Mutta Gutta quite a lot. I neva talked ta him before, but as always, I hope to do business wit all kinds of people… My Rating: 4.5

07. “Get Dat Money”
This one’s Beat Flippa on tha beat; I remember tha commercial I made. Now, lemme review tha whole song. >>> Kinda ehh for tha topic, but I can’t complain ‘cause of great business! You even sound catchy on tha hook, and Beat Flippa does a nice job wit a catchy beat ta offer! You droppin’ some pretty good shit on tha 1st verse; what else can I say? You’re really on your grind; glad you’re one of tha first ones I can agree wit! Reppin’ for some fresh shit on tha 2nd verse, here, wit all kinds of “money!” LOL @ tha “PS3” part ta end tha 2nd verse! Keepin’ this goin’ wit tha 3rd verse, givin’ people “detention” and shit, lol! Then, time ta “lay da bone;” can’t stop Lil’ Buck from bein’ Ruff-N-Rugged, like tha Ent., lol! My Rating: 4.3

08. “Do Da Fool” Feat. Level
E.P. beat; Level feature! >>> Good anticipation in tha beginning; seems like tha intro won’t end, and neither does my anticipation! Tha hook sounds good; not bad, wit a bunch of different topics you offer. You’re on tha 1st verse, and it sounds good on this beat; not much ta say about tha lyrics, but you keepin’ these original-produced jamz comin’! Level’s comin’ through on tha 2nd verse; gotta luv tha “boy” start to tha verse, like he super-interested, lol! Of course, every single lyric outta Level’s mouth’s automatic and typical, but ya always gotta luv his attitude! He’s entertainin’ ta listen to, so I’ll say that he provided an okay verse for you. Here you are on tha 3rd verse, startin’ off wit a “betta not fight” quote, as well as “on tha radio”-type shit, too. Ehh, too many mentions, between quotes and name-drops… A lil’ automatic wit your lyrics, but it ain’t too bad, overall. My Rating: 4.2

½time: Not bad of a CD—oh wait, this CD’s off to a nice start; every single song definitely goes off fa me! A 4.4-rated CD, currently; keep up tha great work!!!!

09. “I Do Me”
??? >>> Didn’t hear a beat tag, but this iz on some nice, laidback-type shit. Rhymes sound good, like you’re paranoid in public, but still keep it outspoken! Nice attitude and perspective on tha hook; gotta “do what tha fuck [you] want!” Tha 2nd verse sounds good from a street dude’s brain… “Deep off in that asshole;” how much further can a dude like you get? LOL, glad you’re “deep off in” these people!!! My Rating: 4.2
EDIT: I think this that Red Head dude on tha beat…

10. “Keep Kickin’”
I like tha “Kickin’ It” title better; I hate multiple titles… Anyway, thanx for wantin’ to have this song on my latest mixtape compilation (my 11th). Can’t see tha producer’s name, and I didn’t recognize tha tag in tha initial beginning… >>> I believe this tha same producer as #06… Anyway, this a better laidback song fa me, especially after takin’ a look at tha music video! Sounds like a fun journey wit a thug like you! Hook’s plain and simple, keepin’ things nice and simple! “It’s 2011;” wouldn’t’ve guessed tha year at first, lol. Nice shit goin’ on wit tha 1st verse, as you’re takin’ a break from all tha bullshit! Either way, I kinda get tired of hearin’ people talk about how people ‘down’ tha person I’m listenin’ to; what happened to dudes praisin’ other dudes? SMH… Got tha 2nd verse here, and it sounds like you’re back ta bein’ angry; no… Great job wit tha verse, but on this kinda joint, I think it’s good to flip your attitude ta calm. My Rating: 4.4

11. “My Lil’ Ones” Feat. Dooda
Lowkee beat? >>> I guess every song’s from “2011”? Anyway, sounds like issues goin’ on wit tha content, here; not bad of a job you got here, on tha 1st verse. Tha hook sounds a lil’ catchy wit how you’re “doin’ this here for [your] lil’ ones.” I guess that Dooda person was on tha intro (tha youngin)? Sounded good for an intro; it’s not like they’re singin’ or somethin’, which would be on some wack shit! “Don’t try ta do what daddy do;” yea, it’s good to be different, but if you know you’re wrong, you’re wrong! Either way, it’s still a good 2nd verse from you, though. My Rating: 4.2

12. “Slow Motion” Feat. Nutritious
??? beat. >>> Nice beat start; caught tha HeartBeatz beat tag! Bet they gon provide anotha slammin’ track fa you, especially since I’m likin’ this beat start! Sounds catchy; nothin’ to make my heart jump, but tha beat’s catchiness doesn’t stop! I like your “slow motion” shit you got goin’ on wit tha 1st verse; more catchy shit. Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, but I don’t think I can agree wit bein’ “on [your] Soulja Slim,” despite tha title! I think he’s a lil’ more grimy and shovel-driven in tha ground when it comes ta his undaground rhymes. But, nice shit you’re providin’ for these ladies. I heard this Nutritious person’s a girl, based off tha intro; let’s see what she does on this 2nd verse… Likin’ her sexual rhymes; entertainin’, as she’s not stoppin’! My Rating: 4.0

13. “Party Don’t Stop”
Can’t see tha producer’s name…; I think it’s tha Red Head dude… >>> It iz tha Red Head dude…; this iz anotha catchy beat start. Sounds like a happy jam; likin’ that there’s no negativity! Let’s hear what you got goin’ on wit tha 1st verse… Ehh, of course, if it’s not negative, it’s automatic, automatic, automatic. Ain’t it lovely to get all these things, easily? I know one of your producers on this CD can get ANY-FUCKIN’-THING HE WANTS ‘cause he’s WHO HE IZ! But, nice job wit stayin’ positive on tha 1st verse! I like what you’re bringin’ on tha 2nd verse, without a “collar!” Sounded like a quick verse; nice job! My Rating: 4.2

14. “No Sleep” Feat. Young Soulja & Beezy Bird
Q-Red… >>> I’d rather have MNDR’s glasses than Kevin Gates and all these geeks with glasses! Beezy Bird “bow” samples goin’ on in tha background; gotta put him in tha feature! At times, I wanna not put him in tha feature, but if that was Kevin Gates, people would be on his freakin’ testicles!!! Plus, I can find each Beezy Bird “bow”-sampled song, easier… Anyway, tha hook sounds pretty nice; really on a non-stop vibe/gangsta feel, here! Glad you’re focused on tha 1st verse; I hope one of these upcomin’ dayz, I have a 24-hour day! I wanted to durin’ 2008, but I don’t know what stopped me… Wit tha 2nd verse, you keepin’ this tight shit comin’ along wit your “gangsta” perspective; can you please stop? No, I’m just playin’, lol! Bet you fell for dat? If you gettin’ “no sleep,” keep your half-assed eyes open as best as you can! Got tha Soulja on tha 3rd verse, and he’s comin’ through wit a nice voice fa dis shit; “fingers wit papercuts” ain’t usually “what’s up,” if only he knew that… But, nice job wit helpin’ your Buck brotha out! My Rating: 4.5

15. “Let’s Ride” Feat. Illea
Hard to see this one, too… >>> Some Red Head on tha beat, but it’s soundin’ like a baby’s cradle? Tha hook’s, like, 70/30 for me. I love tha content wit tha “ride” and “smokin’,” as well as tha slow beat, but I have to get used to these background vocals of Illea… Got tha 1st verse goin’ on, here, and oh, tha “pussy” ride, as you’re ready fa sex. Okay, I’m glad you’re combinin’ different rides, here; hope to continue ta hear about tha car? Then again, I think I was wrong about tha—neva mind, you got two rides goin’ on, here! I think I like that background singin’ on tha hook, now; sounds like such a great “ride!” Tha more “ride” songs, tha betta! That Jagged Edge lead singer-soundin’ Illea’s singin’ on tha 2nd verse, and it sounds pretty good; interestin’ ta have tha balls ta have a singer do a verse, and he’s damn good, too! Usually, I bitch about a five-minute song, but you only got, like, one on this CD, and this iz actually slow, so it fits tha length! Here you are on tha 3rd verse, and you’re back to tha sexual “ride,” lol! Oh, ain’t this entertainin’; you definitely keepin’ my attention up! Wit your rhymes, you sound older than me, but I’m two years older than you!! My Rating: 4.5

16. “They Fought Till The End”
E.P. beat. >>> Tribute song? Should it’ve been at tha end? Oh wait, this iz tha semi-final song… Anyway, good rhymes about this “cancer” patient! My dude, Big Krucial, has “cancer,” and I’m glad he’s still alive (rapper outta New Orleans, LA)! I gon keep supportin’ him ‘cause of his “cancer;” wanna make tha best outta him! Mysterious female on tha hook? I usually don’t go for these kinda hooks and singin’ samples (if it iz a sample), but she sounds catchy; anotha win for you! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and ouch, bad feelings you’re gettin’; must be hard ta write these rhymes down? Shoutin’ out a bunch of people on tha 3rd verse; good that you’re rhymin’ all them together, instead of just shoutin’ ‘em out! My Rating: 4.1

17. “Gunplay”
Endin’ it wit a Beat Flippa beat!! >>> I knew where tha Beat Flippa tag was comin’ in, lol! Anyway, this beat sounds nice and gangsta fa you ta rap on; ooh, this gon be good!! Likin’ your rhymes, here! Tha hook sounds catchy; lovin’ how you keep sayin’, “gunplay!” “Tha dumb way, tha dumb way!! Tha dumb way, tha dumb way!!” You keepin’ this shit goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, too; lots ta offer fa these streetz wit all your perspectives, survivin’ this gangsta life! My Rating: 4.5

Overall: Real nice job done, Buck! I know I denied to review a CD (wait, “mixtape”) you sent me through a Twitter direct message, but I think this iz tha review that should matter! BTW, this sounded more like an album; I hate how everyone has ta call their albums “mixtapes!” But, I’m glad I got ta learn about you through this CD! You sound like one of tha great rappers outta tha Boot; hope you keep doin’ tha damn thang! Shout out ta your boyz at Ruff-N-Rugged Entertainment! Keep tha business up! Hope I can get this CD onto DatPiff, too!

Review #174: Lil' Cali Presents Da Gremlins "The New Batch"

Reviewed on 2.14.2009 (Review No. 174)

Wat up? It’s FrankieThaLuckyDog. I wasn’t gonna do another review today, but after talkin’ to Way3000 briefly before, I feel more awake, so I finna do this shit! Here goes my review, as requested by One-i, for Lil’ Cali Presents Da Gremlins “The New Batch”! Da Gremlins are Carter Boy, One-i, G-Ryde, Chosen, Slugga, & Lil’ Cali. Start Time: 10:25 PM | Video Game Playing: The Legend Of Zelda – Ocarina Of Time (for Nintendo 64)

If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2009 CD Review (Review #174) reviewed on 2.14.2009 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Gremlin Intro”
How “gr”imy are we gonna start this thang off? >>> Cool that Lil’ Cali was in tha very beginning. :tu Hearin’ tha rappin’ in tha beginning, and it’s soundin’ pretty good. First dude (G-Ryde) did pretty good on his “intro” part. I’m likin’ tha 2nd dude (Slugga) on here; good shit. :tu Let’s hear tha 3rd dude… It’s Carter Boy, and he’s “doin’ his thang;” I like tha “feast” part. Good shit goin’ on here. I think One-i’s next… Yup, he called it before tha 4th part began. He “MVP’d up,” and he doin’ his thang on his shit. Let’s see who’s 5th… Sounds like Cali. Nope, it’s Chosen, and he’s just as good. Cali’s on tha outro too. :tu I’m glad err-one got to spit and shit (even though Cali only handled tha beginning and end). My Rating: 4.0

02. “Purped Up”
I wonder who gon be rappin’ on this one/tha order it’ll be in. This iz tha first official song (since tha “intro” was an intro track, introducin’ err-one), and wit that title, you know I’m lookin’ FORWARD to it!! Hope there’s live recordings of rollin’ up dat purp (which sometimes rarely happens)!! >>> Just went right into tha vocals! Nothin’ much goin’ on in tha beginning/goin’ wit tha title so far… Okay, at 1:03, tha “smokin’ by tha ounces” picked up, and now, tha hook. Looks like a lot of flowin’/lyrics goin’ on in tha hook; not bad. Okay, tha 2nd verse iz off to a better start! :tu I like tha “hoes suck me like a pacifier (sp?)” part! GOOD SHIT! YES, Cali on tha 3rd verse! I’m glad he’s goin’ wit tha flow/track here ‘cause he’s soundin’ good on this track. He usually sounds a lil’ more up-tempo’d on his attitude, but on this track, he’s goin’ good wit it. Nice lil’ verse from him. Pretty good song here as it picked up, startin’ wit tha 2nd verse. My Rating: 4.1

03. “Gangsta Walk”
OOH, CALI G-WALKIN’!! YEAH!! But will he spit on this? Let’s find out who’ll spit on it! >>> Ooh, New Orleans on tha length (meanin’ it’s 5:04)! Good “Heartbeats on tha track” thing… Yeah, Cali talkin’ in tha beginning!! Good beat so far, and YES, CALI DOIN’ THA “GANGSTA WALK” PART!!! YEAH, GO CALI!!! Looks like a good start to tha 1st verse! Likin’ tha “saggin’” part. Oh, iz this tha official hook? I liked it better in tha beginning instead of Cali sayin’ it like 4, 8 times; it all good though. Good thing “this ain’t no dance off!” First verse iz good, ain’t nothin’ to be fucked wit! Yeah, that hook again! FUCKIN’ LOVE tha Lil’ Cali part!! He worked GREAT to be on this track! Oh, he’s on tha 2nd verse too! Yeah, “he will punish you!” Uh oh, “he a dog off tha leash!” He did his thang on tha 2nd verse, and I just really love that hook from both Cali and tha dude on tha 1st ½ of tha hook! Let’s hear Chosen on tha 3rd verse… He sounds like he goin’ off and just spittin’. He absorbs dem hoes. So, that’s him on tha 1st ½ of tha hook, huh? GREAT combo here! This iz tha shit! It gon get a NICE rating wit me! Maybe a future song for me to play? We’ll see! Cali got tha “G” tatted on him! My Rating: 4.6

04. “No Lie”
Rarely see a title like this, so I have anticipation! Curious to see which gremlins gon spit on this one! I have a feelin’ One-i gon do somethin’ on this one, but no Cali… >>> Goin’ jacked beat style here… I’m sure I remember One-i (not 100% sure) bein’ on this beat once before… “Emotionless” style… Already wrong ‘cause Cali on tha hook. That’s a pretty nice hook. I seem like I don’t get tired of people bein’ on this beat, as it was an underrated song. Ooh, Cali on tha 1st verse too… Already “got that snow” and “those pills,” so you know this ain’t a fuckin’ lame verse! Good thing he “keep it 110 on every damn song.” :tu Great 1st verse from Cali, and he fit for this hook too! Looks like tha dude on tha 2nd verse (sorry if I don’t recognize who you are at times) spittin’ a pretty nice verse. Can’t deny what any of y’all are spittin’ ‘cause it satisfies me. Hearin’ tha 3rd verse, and it sounds like a Lil’ Wayne flow, easily. I like that “get high like mileage” part! Catchy 3rd verse right there. A lil’ long ending/outro, but it was still nice to hear a lil’ 3 verses on this beat again. My Rating: 4.3

05. “Hit ‘Em Up”
Don’t know what to expect… Hoping for an original beat though! >>> Original sounding, shortest one on here (3:23). Let’s hear what goes on… I hear Cali in tha beginning, again. Cali greedy for dem verses, huh? LOL… Just playin’. He also on tha 1st verse, again. I like tha “Donald Trump” part; Cali wants to do EVERYTHING to EVERYONE!! He did a great job on his verse, and that hook, it went wit an attitude! Nice, up-tempo’d attitude on tha hook! Oh, Cali ain’t sharing on this shit, lol! He on tha 2nd verse too. Did a good job on his verse, and just “high as an eagle.” Short lil’ song, wit only 2 verses, and mainly just a Cali doin’ his job, but it turned out to be pretty good. My Rating: 4.0

06. “28 Grams”
Ooh, you know when there’s “grams” in tha title, that it gon be GOOD! What makes “28” tha special number? I’m really lookin’ forward to findin’ out!! >>> Ooh, “this iz a Stevie Drumma production, bitches!” 3:52 on tha length (pretty good). That hook DEFINITELY has it goin’ on wit tha “grams/pills/lean!!” :tu Slugga doin’ a pretty nice job on his verse, and he DEFINITELY doin’ it wit tha hook!! Nice shit here! Tha 2nd verse iz not bad so far… Tha “smokin’ purple/28 grams…” part made it sound NICE! :tu Nice shit, but there’s 1:02 left… Iz there another verse? Yes, there iz! :tu G-Ryde on tha 3rd verse… “Anticipate me like Tha Carter III.” That’s how I feel on this verse, dawg. I just feel anticipated… Likin’ tha “slang…” parts. Good shit here! My Rating: 4.4

07. “2 Miles”
What could I expect here? Betta be good enough for me! >>> Beat’s a lil’ light… I don’t know here… Looks like it gon be Cali, One-i, and maybe someone else? Much better as soon as it got to around :28! Great Cali/One-i hook wit tha “rollin’ thru tha trap/2 miles an hour.” :tu This iz gonna be some good shit instead of tha low anticipation when hearin’ tha beginning! Hearin’ One-i on tha 1st verse… A good 1st verse. I wonder if Cali has tha 2nd verse… Nope, lol. Great 2nd verse! Likin’ what tha dude spit, especially tha “purp/volume to tha max” part! Cali’s on tha 3rd verse here… Pretty nice, and it does feel like you goin’ “2 miles an hour” when you’re on a plane (only was on a plane twice). Nice jam here. My Rating: 4.2

08. “Hood Love” Feat. KT
We got a feature here… I wonder what this exactly gon sound like… >>> More lighter beat here… Okay start wit an okay hook. Cali’s on tha 1st verse, and he’s really into tha lyrics here! Likin’ his 1st verse there, as he was serious! Greedy Cali as he’s on tha 2nd verse, lol. Still comin’ through wit those SERIOUS lyrics! He did a good job on tha 2nd verse. VERY GREEDY CALI on tha 3rd verse, LOL!! A lil’ shorter verse, but he did a good job. No wonder why Cali was on all tha verses, and no one else: He sometimes goes outside tha Louisiana sound, and makes non-Louisiana music sometimes. This one I was able to feel though. My Rating: 3.9

09. “Wet Wet”
This again?? *Checks to make sure* Yup, but I’ll prolly get a full version here. Another solo Cali joint here. Heard this one on tha “Live From The Trap” mixtape I reviewed earlier today. I’m gonna re-review it since it’s tha full version… >>> Non-Louisianaish sound, except for tha dude on tha 1st verse. He’s got a Louisianaish delivery wit his flow; pretty nice. Tha hook iz okay. Hearin’ Cali on tha 2nd verse, and it’s not bad… He still seems into what he’s spittin’, so that’s good. A “double busser” on tha 3rd verse (LMAO)… Now, that 3rd verse DEFINITELY put this song on tha map!! That was EXTREMELY to tha topic! Best verse on here, and this iz better than tha small version on Lil’ Cali’s mixtape. Still, even though that 3rd verse was REALLY impressive, I still prefer stuff like Tha Camp’s “1 Rubber” as somethin’ that’s REALLY tight! My Current Rating: 3.8

10. “Come Follow Me”
No offense to Cali, but we need tha other members to contribute some more!! >>> Not bad start… Oh, “Lil’ Cali,” who else, lol! He’s in tha intro… Looks like tha intro makes this joint interesting… Okay, hook iz on point. Tha “pyrex/pots/zips/crack” part was good! I didn’t think it would be on here, but Cali’s on tha 1st verse… He did his thang, and still keepin’ it real! This 2nd verse iz on point too! Gotta love all tha shit that everyone be spittin’! :tu Tha 3rd verse was good too. I like how everythang was delivered on this shit. My Rating: 4.0

½time: What should I say, lol? It’s a GREAT CD of 6 rappers, and I enjoy listenin’ to what every one of ‘em has to say! Let’s keep this hot shit comin’!! Oh, and this ain’t nothin’ to be ashamed of, but I know everyone’s got a serious look on tha back cover. Lil’ Cali… That face gets me LOLin’ (no offense), but it’s still SO FUCKIN’ SERIOUS!! LOL!!!

11. “Real Nigga Music”
I saw tha “music” in tha title, and I thought of Rick Ross for a second… Anyway, hope tha title REALLY plays an effect in tha song itself!!! >>> Sounds like Max Minelli in tha beginning, but no, it’s Cali (who else)! :rofl Sounds like a serious hook! :tu That 1st verse was on a serious tip, and I like that MVP definition at tha end of it! I wonder who’s on tha 2nd verse… Prolly Cali, but I hope it’s someone that I don’t exactly know… Okay, it’s Slugga! Good, “time to blow somethin’” (referin’ to kush)! :tu I was definitely feelin’ that 2nd verse, and that hook can’t be fucked wit! Let’s hear tha 3rd verse… Yes, another different dude from Da Gremlins!! He did a nice job too. This IZ “dat real nigga music.” LOL @ it just endin’ wit “my nigga dis that-.” My Rating: 4.3

12. “Gettin’ Money”
If Cali even BREATHES on this song, you know tha serious effect gon pop out, lol! I wonder who gon be also spittin’ on this one… >>> 4:33 on tha length, so that’s good. “Exclusive,” huh? Let’s hear how special it iz… Young Jeezy sample on tha hook (good choice). *Dyes laughin’ wit excitement* Cali on tha 1st verse!! :tu “Tha tag ain’t shit! If I want it, I’mma pay it.” That’s watz good, Cali. If it comes to a review like this, or a commercial, gimme $11, $33, and/or $55, and I’ll appreciate it! One-i’s on tha 2nd verse… He ain’t frontin’ on this shit here. Likin’ tha vibe of this shit right here. Motivational verse from One-i right there. Let’s hear who’s on tha 3rd verse… Sounds good (iz it Chosen?) so far! Too bad it wasn’t tha whole thang ‘cause it broke down into a 2nd ½ from someone else. Good shit either way on this shit. Very cold ending as tha beat still went… My Rating: 4.2

13. “Rock A Bye”
Tha title… :confused I don’t know… This either gon be tight (as in humor), or disappointing. Let’s find out now… >>> Uh oh, even a “rock-a-bye baby” sample… I’m gonna let tha verses speak for themselves… Serious start after tha sample... “Squeeze tha Desert Eagle…!” Talk about it, serious hook! Don’t let tha title/sample fool ya! Good 1st verse, and tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ good too. Yeah, this iz catchy, but GUTTA as well! One-i’s on this shit (3rd verse)! He did a nice job too, but it’s all about that hook, ESPECIALLY tha “squeeze tha Desert Eagle…” part! My Rating: 4.1

14. “When I Want It” Feat. Nobe
I think I spelled tha featured artist right… Wonder how it’ll sound… >>> Sounds like Adult Contemporary music in tha beginning… Very light start? Tell me this a Lil’ Cali song… Figures, I just heard him pop up at :30. Startin’ off “fuckin’” on tha 1st verse, lol. Tha hook sounds like it takes tha “2 occasions” part from somethin’, but it sounds hot wit tha “horny” part. Tha 2nd verse matched tha 1st verse, only it was shorter. Good 3rd verse too, as tha lyrics are great! Just by tha beat start, I knew this was just gonna be Lil’ Cali on tha whole song ‘cause I know that tha other 5 members wouldn’t spit on anything like this… My Rating: 3.9

15. “Top Of The World”
Looks like this’ll be a pretty good joint… >>> Oh no, another soft beat. Tell me “Lil’ Cali”’s on tha whole song, again… Oh no, a jacked beat… This was from Ace Hood’s album (I think). I remember that hook, and it was too light for him… Not bad 1st verse/good. Let’s hear tha 2nd verse… Okay. Nothin’ much to say here… Tha 3rd verse sounds like Cali didn’t know he’d expect some fame… Well, this was my least rated song on Ace Hood’s CD, and it looks like it’ll be tha same here too. My Rating: 3.5

16. “Talk 2 Me”
Please other Gremlins… Come into play!! >>> Okay, tha beat iz gettin’ better from tha previous 2 beats. I think… It ain’t a jacked beat now, right? This like 90’s R&B samplin’… Tell me it’s Cali on tha whole song again? I’ll be disappointed… Of course, him on tha 1st verse… LOL @ tha “that pussy runnin’ like a fountain” part; you just really into rappin’, huh? LOL! You crazy wit what you spit! Oh, Cali’s not on tha 2nd verse… I wonder which member this iz… LOL… It was a few seconds long… No comment. More Gremlins on tha 3rd verse… Sounds like Young Chris from tha Young Gunz… Well, okay then. This joint ain’t all that special to me, especially since these are more up Lil’ Cali’s way (he prolly should’ve stayed on tha whole entire song). My Rating: 3.6

17. “Want Me 2 Be”
Not really anticipated to continue… This CD’s kinda fallin’ off, and I want it to pick up!! >>> Kristy Kay “I Will Wait (Giuseppe D Radio Mix)” iz playin’ on Music Choice Dance (only comes on between 10 PM and 10 AM sadly), and I have it playin’ louder than this song (even before I was playin’ it). And look, it’s just mainly Cali in tha beginning… He was… I guess okay. I hear someone else on tha 2nd verse… Soundin’ better than Cali on this shit. Okay hook, even though kinda simple. Okay, tha dude on tha 3rd verse iz soundin’ better. I was losin’ anticipation when I heard tha beat ‘cause I thought it sounded like B.O.B. Feat. Lil’ Boosie & D.G. Yola “Fuck You” wit that Country style. My Rating: 3.5

18. “Bitches And Money”
Can we get back on track here? >>> Sounds like more jacked music. :( What iz goin’ on here?? Decent 1st verse… If this iz a jacked beat (which I’m assuming ‘cause this AIN’T Louisiana type of music), I get bored of those type of samples. Oh, WHO ELSE… CALI!!! On tha 2nd verse here… “Stand like a statue.” It does look like a Lil’ Cali statue on tha back cover! LOL! Uh oh, “a 9 on my hip,” so you know Cali ain’t playin’! I like tha “alphabet boy ‘cause I’m oh so G” part. :tu Cali passed on this one. What’s left… >>> Soundin’ like a good dude “chasin’ his currency.” :tu Dude did his thang on that verse. Tha verses turned out to be good on this, so this gets a pass. Not sure of tha beat though. My Rating: 3.8

19. “Struggles” Feat. Akon
Not sure if this gon be me… I highly doubt it… What’s tha Akon feature? Must be a sample or somethin’ UNLESS it’s 100% CALIFUL, lol!! >>> Okay, not a sad beat… Okay Akon hook. Sounds like a nice 1st verse… Dude seems to be real wit it. I like that “livin’ in a glass pipe” part; fa’real, these gremlins ain’t playin’! I like tha “lottery” part also (you know I’m dat lucky dog, lol)! Good 1st verse, but I wish this was more in a Louisiana style so I could feel it more! HE’S STILL HERE… LIKE CRUMBS! LOL! Lil’ Cali on tha 2nd verse… Sounds more like a Westcoast song (that’s prolly why I feel it more than some of tha other songs on here). Likin’ that flowin’ of Lil’ Cali on here, and he did a good job on his verse. Good, One-i on tha 3rd verse… Great start wit tha history of some of your life/your patna’s life experiences. :tu “Even though it’s bad for our health,” gotta love that fried food though, lol. You did yo thang on tha 3rd verse! A verse like that iz how I feel tha verse when it comes to songs about strugglin’ and shit like that. Too many rappers make tha shit sound boring/depressin’; glad you didn’t! My Rating: 3.9

20. “Letter 2 TJ”
Maybe this’ll be depressing… Tell me it’s a sad ending… >>> Yeah, depressing start. OH, WHO’S FIRST… Lil’ Cali! Hope this TJ dude didn’t get shot and killed… Yeah, sad, but I’ll listen, and comment on this… I like all tha “dawg/nigga” parts. Sounds like a freestyle (thought there was gonna be a hook or somethin’). Lot of great lyrics goin’ on here (which they’re sad). Sounds like Faith Evans came outta nowhere… Oh, now I realize… Since tha title iz “Letter 2 TJ,” I’m assumin’ it’s tha “Letter 2 B.I.G.” beat. Great way to end tha song, wit tha Faith Evans part. I thought this was mixed good. However, these tracks are not tha ones I anticipate/want to feel, so that’s why my rating gon look low. Don’t take it to heart… I thought tha lyrics worked real good for this. My Rating: 3.7 (wasn’t too bad)

Overall: End Time: 12:32 AM. Well, let’s see… 1st ½: 8 of 10 songs I loved. 2nd ½: 3 of 10 songs I loved. I don’t understand what happened on tha 2nd ½… Too much Cali and shit (no offense). Just like wit Tha Camp’s CD, tha members were pretty much on most of tha songs (and there weren’t any solos and shit like that). I felt like there were too many Lil’ Cali solo jointz (or jointz that sounded up his “mainstream” alley) that didn’t belong on here. They could’ve belonged on an upcoming Lil’ Cali album, but yeah, I needed to hear more from tha members. Even like separate freestyles would’ve been cool as well (kinda like wit tha intro). Keep up tha good work though ‘cause that 1st ½ was what I wanted to hear, and I was lookin’ forward to hearin’ as much from all tha members (without Lil’ Cali bein’ over so many tracks). Oh, and One-i, how did Da Gremlins come to be a group? Was it Lil’ Cali’s idea since he’s “presentin’” Da Gremlins? Let me know! Lookin’ forward to Vol. 2; gon make it better!!
