Review #1,821: Tyght Wayz "Mo Mail"

Reviewed on 10.13.2019 (Review #1,821)

Keepin’ tha reviewz goin’, here’s one mo fa 2day: Tyght Wayz, outta New Iberia, Mo Mail, released in 1998 on Top Authority Records / Illegal Currency Entertainment! Shout out ta my boy, Ganksta Mac, as well! Start Time: 1:54 PM | End Time: 3:14 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. Intro
>>> Sounds like a laidback chant, here… “Get buck, nigga…; get buck, nigga…,” lol… Feelin’ tha chantin’ fa this intro; good shit! My Rating: N/A

02. “Dealin’ Game”
>>> Nice-soundin’ beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like consistent rhymes; good shit… Hearin’ tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice; y’all got this undaground shit on lock…! “It’s me, Ganksta Mac;” you know! Got tha hook goin’ on, now & it’s pretty nice; good shit! All about da “game!” Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on, here & it’s pretty good; can’t complain… Anotha part of tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit a mission ta success; good shit…! My Rating: 4.2

03. “Dollaz In My Pocket”
>>> Feelin’ those sounds in tha beginning of tha beat, here! Spaced-out! Got tha 1st part of tha 1st verse goin’ on, here & it’s pretty nice… Tha 2nd part of tha 1st verse’s pretty nice, too; gotta keep tha undaground on-n-poppin’! Well, it’s more like a 3rd part of tha 1st verse, here; good shit! Tryna keep up wit all tha parts of tha verses, as well as tha transitionin’ between tha verses and tha hook… Hearin’ tha hook, now & it blends in nicely wit tha 1st verse; can’t complain… Continuin’ tha grind wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ good, as well… My Rating: 4.1

04. “Cheerleaders”
>>> Anotha cool beat intro, here; let’s get it…! “P…I…M…P…;” anotha “P.I.M.P.” representa, afta I just reviewed Tre-8’s Nuttin’ But Drama, where he had a “P-I-M-P” track! As we continue, we got tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice… Tha cheerleadin’ part’s tha hook, I see? Sounds good and catchy fa this undaground vibe, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s good; let’s keep it movin’… It’s sad when they “love [you]” fa what they need from you, sadly. We have mo talent than what they stereotype us as, ya dig? Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse and y’all representin’ nicely, here; good shit…! My Rating: 4.2

05. “Mo Mail (Mo Kain)” feat. E-Locc
>>> A nicely-mixed hook, here; feelin’ tha southern vibe… Got tha 1st verse, here & ya gotta “ride dirty” ta survive, ya dig? Keepin’ tha good shit goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ consistent & nice fa tha south…! Got tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ like anotha consistently-great verse fa tha south, once again! My Rating: 4.3

06. “True Ballers” feat. Young D-Ray
>>> Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ nice, here, on this calm, southern beat… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s all about tha “ballin’;” true dat! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and we in da “Cadillac,” here, strictly cruisin’; gotta luv it! Such a great vibe: “Shmokin’ weed, in da Cadillac!” Got anotha part on tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ as southern as pure dank; good shit! Got tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear, as well; gotta keep it goin’…! My Rating: 4.2

07. “My Life”
>>> Beat’s pretty dope fa tha ‘90s, here; gotta dig tha undaground! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, here… Tha hook sounds nice ta hear, as well; all about witnessin’ & (at times) embracin’ them dark times…! Catchy lil’ dark track, here; gotta dig tha dark! My Rating: 4.0

Intermission: Gotta beat meat, right quick; brb… *Leaves at 2:22 PM…* *Returns at 2:28 PM…* Shit just calls, unexpectedly; tha brain be fucked up, sometimes…

08. “Tempers Flair” feat. P.J.
>>> Sounds like anotha nice, southern vibe; dope shit & dope-soundin’ 1st verse…! Tha hook’s pretty dope; I’m likin’ tha flairin’ of tha “tempers!” Those G-Funk beats and tha grimy vibes of ‘em are off tha chain, fa tha undaground! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and we keepin’ tha consistency goin’! Got tha 3rd verse goin’ on, here & it’s good; y’all keepin’ this southern shit soundin’ nice…! My Rating: 4.4

09. “Candy City” feat. Chris Curley
>>> Sounds like an end-to-a-party vibe, here, wit this laidback beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad, so far… Tha hook sounds aight, fa me; prolly has a betta visualization vibe, wit all this “candy,” tho! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and there’s not much I can say about it…; it str8… Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 3rd verse, as well…; sounds okay fa me… Overall, this more of a decent track fa me, fa its laidbackness… My Rating: 3.8

½time: Got a 4.2-rated CD, currently; sounds pretty nice, consistent & southern. Nothin’ too mindblowin’, at tha moment but tha CD remains a good, southern vibe…!

10. “Talkin’ ‘Bout” feat. Pahnub
>>> Sounds like a good beat, here… Got tha 1st verse goin’ on, here & tha “drip” iz nice; gotta luv tha “candy!” Got tha hook goin’ on, here & it’s str8; nothin’ much ta say “‘bout” it… A good/semi-consistent-soundin’ 2nd verse goin’ on, here; good, southern vibe, once again… Mo shit comin’ outta tha 2nd verse wit anotha member rappin’, here; nice job. Gotta luv ridin’ on tha interstate, goin’ from state ta state! Got tha 3rd verse, here & it’s keepin’ this vibe goin’; good shit… Tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ like a good/str8 verse, as well; rhymes, rhymes, rhymes… My Rating: 3.9

11. “Thug Shit”
>>> Beat sounds good ta rap on, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and tha rhymes str8; can’t say much… Tha hook sounds cool and short, here; good shit… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ good, as well… Really feelin’ these “action”-endin’ lines! “Rappin’,” “satisfaction,” “fraction;” dumb shit! Tha 3rd verse ain’t bad, here; not as catchy as tha 2nd verse but still nice ta hear… My Rating: 4.1

12. Phone Call
>>> Feelin’ tha dialect of y’all, here, on tha phone! All about dat southern shit—dat “product!” My Rating: N/A

13. “Deep In The Game”
>>> Sounds like a laidback, good lil’ street joint, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 1st verse, here, wit tha “blunt;” gotta have tha “blunt!” Got tha hook goin’ on, here & it sounds nice wit tha voice deliverin’ it; dark beat sounds, too! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ good, progressin’ through da “game!” Got tha 3rd verse goin’ on, here & I’m feelin’ tha flow/vibe; gotta keep it goin’…! My Rating: 4.3

14. “The Getaway”
>>> Cool keys bein’ played, on tha beat, here! Dope-soundin’ beat & tha 1st verse’s pretty nice, as well…! Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds good; would luv ta “ride wit [y’all],” ya dig? I’m here fa tha whole undaground of Louisiana, ya dig? Ya heard me…?! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ like anotha nicely-delivered verse…! Got tha 3rd verse goin’ on, here & it’s pretty nice; “left they ass on tha highway!” My Rating: 4.4

15. “Request 2”
>>> Nice lil’ G-Funk beat, here; let’s keep this southern shit goin’…! Hook sounds cool fa a sequel to a “Request” track… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and tha rhymes are pretty quick; gotta feel it! Afta tha sirens, tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse comes in and keeps this southern street shit goin’! Tha rest of tha rhymes goin’ on, here, sounds dope; diggin’ tha fast delivery! My Rating: 4.1

16. “City Life”
>>> Sounds like a nice vibe fa tha streetz at night. Also, sounds like it would fit a sports game? Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ good; tha beat helps make these rhymes stand out… Tha hook blends in nicely wit tha verses, here; good shit… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ like anotha good verse… Good representin’ from city ta city, toward tha end. Gotta represent, even tho I only luv Louisiana! My Rating: 4.0

17. Outro
>>> Sounds like tha intro; definitely nice ta end it like dis! My Rating: N/A

18. “Dollaz In My Pocket (Screwed)”
>>> Sounds nice when it’s slowed down like dis! My Rating: 4.2

19. “Mo Mail (Mo Kain) (Screwed)” feat. E-Locc

04. “Comin’ Down” feat. Amber J
>>> Simple beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s off to a decent start, here… Hearin’ tha hook and that Amber J has a nice, mysterious-soundin’ voice, here… Definitely a nice-soundin’, mysterious-soundin’ hook, here! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, too… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse, here, and it’s rollin’ on by, easily… And, a 4th verse, here, comin’ through like tha feature, “Got that amber by my side,” lol… Nice beat outro, here! My Rating: 4.4

05. “Da Request”
>>> Nice beat; tha 1st verse sounds pretty nice, too… A random, simple hook, here? Hmm… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, as y’all keepin’ it movin’, here… Nice beat interlude before tha 3rd verse, here! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s turnin’ into a gangsta track, here…! Anotha track with a 4th verse, here, soundin’ pretty dope, as well, for tha undaground… And, a 5th verse, here, sendin’ “shots from that AK-Automatic;” gutta shit… Prolly coulda had some sound effects ta go with it? And, a hook at tha end, here… My Rating: 4.2

06. “The Situation”
>>> A slower-soundin’ beat, here, soundin’ pretty nice… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice; feelin’ tha vibe, here, wit tha “blunt!” “N-E-W-I-B-E-R-I-A?” Dope! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ like a good verse… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice, transitionin’ to tha 3rd verse, here, spittin’ dat gangsta shit! Good shit comin’ outta tha 4th verse, here, as it continues… My Rating: 4.2

Review #1,501: Ganksta Mac "Fleetwood Mac (The Mixtape)"

Reviewed on 6.08.2016 (Review #1,501)

Illegal Currency Entertainment Presents Ganksta Mac Fleetwood Mac (The Mixtape), named after tha old band. My 1,501st review, here, I got this sent to me via Facebook before last year ended. However, I had no time to get to it till now, so here it goes! Start Time: 7:18 PM | End Time: 8:01 PM

Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. Fleetwood Intro
>>> Production sounds nice… Sounds more like it could be an album, rather than a “mixtape.” Do I get a shout out? I’m not really in a review mood, so I feel annoyed, a lil’… Ahh, tha “diamond in tha back, sunroof top…” singin’!! My Rating: N/A

02. “Swang Wide” feat. Frank Nitty & Lavish
>>> Was wondering what was up wit tha first 10 seconds… Now, here’s tha 1st verse and it sounds catchy with these vocals… I’ono about tha beat, though, since it kinda sounds like “Hot Nigga”, a lil’. Kinda random with how this 1st verse sounds, but it ain’t bad ta hear… Hook’s pretty plain with this repetitive hook; kinda disappointed… Like, seein’ this title, I instantly think of a southern vibe, not a NY, “Hot Nigga” vibe… Here we go with tha 2nd verse from Frank Nitty, here, comin’ through wit random rhymes…; okay, what’s next…? Lavish on tha 3rd verse, here, and it’s whateva; forget tha rest of this… Tha start of tha last hook at 3:42 sounded off-beat fa a second! My Rating: 2.6

03. “Werk Werk (Twerk Twerk)” feat. Big Curb
>>> Not bad with tha energetic production and tha 1st verse’s okay, so far… Tha hook’s catchy; at least it goes with tha beat, this time… Tha 2nd verse sounds like a random dude spittin’ random shit; bleh… Tha 3rd verse sounds like some good Louisiana rhymes with tha “stupid/retarded,” but I’ont think it goes with this beat… My Rating: 3.0

04. “Hold Dat Noiz”
>>> Where’s my manager? Lemme quote her: “Really?” Like, tha Young Ready track? That’s what it sounds like, to me, with tha beat… Tha hook’s boring fa me with tha repetitiveness… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I’m not really feelin’ it too much; it’s just okay fa me, since tha beat throws me off… I mean, it may be an original beat but at tha same time, it sounds too similar to tha Young Ready one, especially with tha title… Tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ more energetic, but it sounds like you’re soundin’ a lil’ lazy with tha delivery, at times… My Rating: 2.5

05. “Clean Up Man (Free B.G.)”
>>> Beat ain’t too bad; tha hook ain’t too bad, either, even though I don’t see much interest in this… Nothin’ much ta say about tha 1st verse, here… Hearin’ tha hook again and this sounds like some random New Orleans “real rap” or somethin’ that I’m not that big about… And, nothin’ ta say about tha 2nd verse; I think I had enough of this track, lol… Just sick of hearin’ that title!! No 3rd verse? A long outro…? Also, smh @ tha producer’s tag appearin’ again! My Rating: 1.7

06. “Let ‘Em Hate” feat. Mac Cezer & King Ryce
>>> Likin’ this beat, as it sounds like somethin’ nice fa tha streetz… Hearin’ tha hook and even though it’s kinda repetitive, it ain’t too bad… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like this dude (Mac Cezer?) tryna rap at a rapid pace; it aight, tho… Unfortunately, with tha way this CD’s been goin’, my excitement’s really dry… Time for tha 2nd verse…; sounds good. As far as King Ryce on tha 3rd verse, I’ono what it was with him, at one point (I forget), but even though this nice, it’s gonna go out tha otha ear when this track’s over… Still, not bad… My Rating: 3.8

½time: Wow, not off to a good start at all! A 3.8 iz tha highest rated, followed by a 3.0? Just not really feelin’ how tha tracks sound; not really my Louisiana sound… Either way, keep grindin’! Only a 2.7-rated CD, so far…

07. Pimp C (The Industry) (Skit)
>>> True; “tha songs aren’t dat good; tha album ain’t dat good.” Unfortunately, I can agree wit him wit this CD, so far. But yeah, if you love an artist, you gon support them! For example: I fucks wit my boy, Doe-Doe, from Baton Rouge, right now! Even though he ain’t been in tha music biz in a minute, I have faith in him to put somethin’ new out! His undeniable talent makes me wanna get him richer and try and put success in his pocket! When I blow up, he comin’ wit me!! My Rating: N/A

08. “20 Thousand Dollaz” feat. Hurk & Big Curb
>>> Beat sounds nice and so does tha hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice; feelin’ tha energy… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and I wanna just skip it, or pretend I’m listenin’ ‘cause all it’s sayin’ iz “money, tha money,” yada-yada-yada… Could care less about tha 3rd verse, here, with tha “money” bullshit, too… I’ono, tha 1st verse sounded nice fa a topic about “money,” but tha rest of this can go… My Rating: 2.4

09. Don Juan Cadillak Pimpin’ (Interlude)
>>> Nice message about tha “pimp game,” lol. My Rating: N/A

10. “Fleetwood Muzik”
>>> So far, this off to a better start… Feelin’ tha slow, laidback vibe that was meant for that “Swang” song… Nice job with tha beginning; let’s see how tha rest of this goes… Tha 1st verse sounded nice and so did tha hook; nice production… Tha 2nd verse kinda bores me with this slow vibe, here… My Rating: 3.7

11. “Smoke Somethin’, Drank Somethin’” feat. ELocc & OLEBAY
>>> Beat and vibe sounds nice, but tha 1st verse all random wit tha rhymes… Remakin’ old music on tha hook’s vocals, here…; sounds good ta hear… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, here… And, a long, 48-second outro, here… My Rating: 3.4

12. Zydeco History (Interlude)
Buck Wheat, here… >>> Nice lil’ check in… My Rating: N/A

13. “Zydeco Wit Me” feat. Altonio OSR TRX
>>> Sounds much louder than tha previous tracks? Like, tha others’ volumes weren’t brought up? Really different with tha instruments, here; sounds happy and kinda interesting… Tha hook ain’t too bad; at least it’s happy, I guess? Tha 1st verse kinda random-soundin’, but it ain’t bad… Hearin’ tha hook again and it kinda sounds like it’s tryna be tha sequel (or jack?) tha “Cupid Shuffle”… Tha rest of this just keeps tha vibe goin’… My Rating: 2.9

Overall: Just below-average fa me, here… Could’ve been better as far as how tha songs sounded… Thought it would’ve been a lil’ more underground sounding, at times, but yeah, you see what I said for each one… Still, keep tha discs comin’!

Reviewed on 2.20.2015 (Review #1,446)

Prolly should’ve reviewed this before tha actual disc, but I decided to review it, anyway… Here goes my review for HighC Snippet, which iz a snippet to his High In A Messed Up World CD that I just reviewed, released in 2010, on All The Way Hood Entertainment. Start Time: 4:13 PM | End Time: 4:23 PM

If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating.
