Keepin’ it goin’, anotha review fa my boy King Rice! Couldn’t resist but ta hit him up afta tha last review I did! I was ‘posed to wait ‘til this one was finished, but King Rice my boy, so you KNOW I had ta get at him!! Here goes my review for DJ Poloar Bear & King Rice Present “Da King Is Back (Leak)”. I should’ve known about dis 1st ‘cause I would’ve reviewed it, but it’s aight. This like tha “bloopers” a.k.a. “songs-that-didn’t-make-tha-real-CD” section. Start Time: 1:47 PM | End Time: 2:51 PM

Looks like “Last Dayz” wit tha “dayz” in tha title, lol. You KNOW it’s all gravy ta hear extra music from you!! >>> LOL, what a HOT beat start! I like how you handle tha intro and you’re doin’ a NICE job here on tha 1st verse!! You got a hell of a “life” when it comes ta havin’ buku thangz happen ta you, ya dig? Interestin’ shit goin’ on here in tha 2nd verse; street shit to tha fullest!! Your voice sounds funny on dis verse; almost sounds like tha words aren’t comin’ out all tha way, lol. Forgot to mention dat tha hook iz tight; good shit all tha way ‘round!! LOL, you KNOW you gotta continue wit tha 3rd verse here!! My Rating: 4.5


02. “Let’s Ride” Feat. Fedarro
Heard dis earlier… Hearin’ tha singin’ in tha beginning… Not really big about this singin’ but it’s a pretty catchy hook. Let’s hear how good you are on tha 1st verse… “Chasin’ a girl”-type song rather than “ridin’”-type lyrics? Oh, tha word “let’s” separates that… You “went to jail;” really? What happened? Pretty good job on tha 1st verse here… Tha 2nd verse sounds like a mix of Plies and Soulja Slim wit how it sounds. Not sayin’ that it’s real and fake, but that tha voice sounds like them combined. Kinda long wit tha bridge when I look at tha remainin’ length of 50 seconds; thought there was gonna be a 3rd verse… Startin’ ta like dat “you lookin’ like a diva” part in tha hook! My Current Rating: 3.6


03. “Criminal Mind” Feat. Young Tah
No features listed on tha DatPiff tracklisting? Anyway, my TOP-RATED song iz on here!! Interestin’ sample on tha hook; this iz becomin’ a real hot beat overall!! I like your lil’ pieces on tha hook; tight shit!! Let’s hear what you got… Fuckin’ LUVIN’ tha rappin’ wit tha beat!! You sound like a fuckin’ legend; keep doin’ ya thang!!! Gutta-ass, gangsta-ass verse from you right there!! Let’s see what tha tight Tah has ta offer… Yup, mo hot-ass shit!! “Blowin’ on purp;” dumb shit!! My Current Rating: 4.8

How good’ll this sound? >>> Interestin’-soundin’ beat. Ooh, tha hook’s REAL NICE!! Who are tha features?!? Thumbs up here!! Even soundin’ pretty gutta as fuck on tha 1st verse here!! Tha 2nd verse’s gutta as hell too!! “Almost had a grave in ’99?” Scary shit! My Rating: 4.7

>>> About 5.5 minutes long? I like tha beat sound here; nice and long too! A cool-singin’ hook here; likin’ it! Interestin’ shit you spittin’ fa tha ladies here in tha 1st verse! I really am enjoyin’ this beat so you know tha interest stays alive! LOL, must be G-Lynn on tha 2nd verse; startin’ off pretty good. LOL, she even said, “huh bruh,” towards tha end of her verse; nice job right there! LOL, now tha both of y’all holdin’ it down on tha 3rd verse, two bars at a time! This was from “2009,” huh (‘cause you said, “2009 Bonnie & Clyde”)? My Rating: 4.3


06. “Been Ballin’”
>>> Sounds cool wit tha organ and sample in tha hook! Soundin’ pretty nice here; “now, it’s 2007;” iz this song this old? You were born 1974 (since you said tha “Age 17” thing was “back in ‘91”)? Maybe I was right about tha “Age 35” thing on tha last review, LMAO? That was a random guess too!! Nice job on tha 1st verse, doin’ ya thang (as always)!! Tha 2nd verse sounds real, real tight wit tha consistency!! You REALLY holdin’ tha 2nd verse down wit all your heart and soul!! Tha 3rd verse also iz real rapid wit all tha shit goin’ on!! My Rating: 4.5


07. “Baby Eyez Like Mine”
Iz this dedicated to your daughter? >>> Sounds like a gross, jacked beat. Not too gross; this like ‘07ish too…? Sounds good when your rappin’ iz combined! Nice job on tha 1st verse and tha hook’s good; I luv tha rapidness in tha rappin’! Nice job wit tha 2nd verse too; sounded like there were SO many words in it, lol!! My Rating: 4.1


08. “D-Boy Magic”
How good’ll this be? >>> LOL, sounds familiar wit tha Joc sample. “Sold so much dope;” what’s dat like? How you get people to catch onto it? I luv all this drug shit and tha gangsta shit goin’ on here; you have a SHITLOAD amount of drug shit here!! It goes to show you how much you be grindin’ out in tha streetz!! Nice job wit tha rest of dis shit too! My Rating: 4.2


½time: Sounds real nice so far; you REALLY keepin’ it goin’ here!! Keep up tha GR8 work; sounds like a LOT of GR8 songs that were extras inserted into my hands!! NICE 4.3 average CD rating so far!


09. “Play Yo Role”
>>> Weird mix of like 70’s music and an odd beat. But, you sound REAL NICE wit how you comin’ through on tha track!! Tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ pretty good but if I’m 1:50 in and I have to wait anotha 2:48 ‘til this ends, that’s not good. This could’ve been like under three minutes. Tha beat shit iz really repetitive; why it gotta last almost five minutes? I like tha “magic stick/rabbit tricks” shit; nice right there! Damn, this just keeps goin’ on and on and on and on… My Rating: 2.7


10. “Money” Feat. Fedarro, Budda & Lil’ One
LOL. Sounds like it gon be good for tha start. I know tha verses’ll be tight!! Budda’s on tha 1st verse, soundin’ pretty good here. Iz this Lil’ One The Champ or tha old rapper Lil’ One on tha 2nd verse? Not bad on tha verse… Damn, you’re on tha 3rd verse? What a BLESSIN’ here wit tha fast rappin’!!! Keep it goin’!!! My Current Rating: 4.3


11. “Mind On My Money” Feat. Young Tah
Anotha “money” song, lol? >>> This one sounds like “Dead Wrong” sounds in tha beginning, lol. This has a catchy hook too. Nice job wit tha 1st verse here; all about bein’ focused!! Whoeva dat Money Boy dude was on tha 2nd verse (I don’t think it’s tha same person as tha King Fancy Ent. dude) did a good job on tha 2nd verse. I won’t source him ‘til I know his correct name. Ooh, now, I know that Young Tah’s on tha 3rd verse, doin’ his thang to tha fullest!! GR8 ta have him on tha song again!! What’s wit all tha silence at tha end? My Rating: 4.2


12. “Dat Day”
>>> “August 2, 9:30” you wrote this song? LOL, had ta quote it. Anyway, beat iz too weird so I don’t think this’ll be that great… I do like that you’re rappin’ fast but there’s nothin’ special about this fa me. LOL, a sad anthem? I don’t know what else ta say… LOL, did you say, “kiwi”? ROFL @ whateva’s goin’ on here; there’s so much, lol! “Now, it’s goin’ on tha 11th;” you’ve been writin’ this song fa nine dayz? My Rating: 3.3


13. “Last Dayz”
Wit a “z”, lol! Kojack doin’ his thang on tha beat… Cool Southern-styled beat for a start. Interestin’ lyrics; I’ll give you a plus here for tha content on this nice beat! Nice job wit tha rest of tha shit goin’ on here; a FULL song from you!!! NICE video too! ROFL @ that E-40 sample and his “Bible” shit all ova this song! I think it’s sad when someone has to “kill someone to fit in.” I’ve ALWAYS avoided tha “fit in”-type shit and look where I am now! My Current Rating: 3.9


14. “If I Die”
Tupac on tha sample here. Okay, I’m likin’ tha beat in tha 1st verse; nice piano. You sound pretty good wit tha consistent rhymes! Tha 2nd verse sounds like you’re tryin’ ta escape all tha bullshit. That’s a mission. I hope my mission completes when I get ta do shit in person wit people. I don’t know when dat day’s gonna come… What’s up wit tha really long ending? Cool beat, but you’ve had like three-verse songs throughout this whole CD… My Current Rating: 3.8


15. “Letter 2 My Daughters”
Oh, so you have multiple kids? Now, I know tha range of how old you are so it’s not like you’re 20 or whateva. >>> Good thing this iz kinda short; too many long songs so it had to be switched up. Tha New York sound in tha beat here. It’s an odd mix from a Louisiana sound but it’s cool when you rap. “Missin’” them? Where are you? You “died already?” When? Lots of “daddy” shit here, lol. Definitely a lil’ catchy! My Rating: 3.4


16. “Try Street Related”
Whoeva does gon get fucked up!! Fa real!!! >>> Anotha gross-soundin’ beat? Why these funny intros on tha beats? At least your rappin’s on point here! Oh, there had ta be singin’ in tha hook, lol? I like all your fast-ass shit in tha hook comin’ outta nowhere, lol! I like tha featured dude on tha 2nd verse; sounds like he’s serious! Tha 3rd verse iz pretty good too… My Rating: 3.8


Overall: I don’t know which CD I liked betta. Both CDs did nearly tha same thang: Somewhat fluctuatin’ 2nd ½, GR8 1st ½… Multiple tight songs, some dry songs. I dunno… This CD has one less song, lol.

FINALLY back to some reviewz!!! It has been a while, but I had to get tha college overload off my back! I’m off until October 20, but I have a 1,500 word essay due tha 20th, and I still have to edit my radio show and game show videos before next week. It might get a lil’ messy but anyway, I have a review I finna do for King Rice. Props for tha CD in tha mail! Here goes my review for his “The King Is Back” CD; glad I’m back! Produced by Fullgrown; how will it turn out for tha 1st time hearin’ you? >>> Tha 1st 10 seconds sounded like I should quit immediately. If that’s Fullgrown’s beat tag, then I hope I NEVA hear it again!!! But, here comes you on tha 1st verse… Tha beat’s a lil’ gay (don’t like these kinda beats where they’re NOT tight and have gay-ass vocal samples repeat) but tha rappin’ works here. Even though it’s just an “intro”, it prolly should’ve had a lil’ beat interlude to separate all tha lyrics. But, I guese because this beat’s not exciting, there’s nowhere for a beat interlude. My Rating: 3.2


02. “Took A Oath” Feat. Young Tah
This one’s produced by Kojack and clocks in at 4 ¾ minutes long. I see on tha piece of paper you mailed me that you list tha order of everyone. That’s cool, but if tha features (and producers no less) are on tha back cover, that’s perfect. It’s not like I downloaded it from online where there’s no sources. >>> This iz much betta wit tha production, so thumbs up to Kojack! LOL, beat slowed down from :19 - :22? Interestin’! Ooh, combination on tha hook; this iz a DEFINITE plus!! Luv how it sounds!! It’s kinda hard to fit longer songs on my radio show, but I gon hopefully try to fit this in there. Okay, now, lemme look at tha paper to see who’s on tha 1st verse… It’s you? This iz what’s up right here!! “Bein’ real iz tha recipe;” good shit! “I put this on my kid;” didn’t realize you had a kid… I guess everyone does, lol? Let’s hear this Young Tah… Almost reminds me of Yung Tech (wit tha spellin’, nearly) on Level’s latest CD. Mo good shit comin’ out tha speakers here! Good shit from you comin’ out tha 3rd verse; it’s a STRONG voice! Ooh, here’s Yung Tech on tha 2nd 1/8, doin’ his thang! You’re keepin’ it goin’ wit tha HOTNESS on tha 3rd 1/8! Hot start to tha 1st verse wit tha “smokin’ on some piff;” now, you KNOW I wanna fuck wit you on some big boy shit, ya dig?!? Anticipatin’ rhymes here; glad you discovered me and shit!! Okay, I hear tha female on tha hook; at least she’s just backin’ you up ‘cause it sounds like a good combo together! Ooh, a “huh bruh” ad-lib at 1:40 JUMPED outta nowhere!! Damn, you got surprises up tha sleeve here, lol! Mo hotness in tha 3rd verse, keepin’ it goin’!! Keep rappin’, ya dig?!? LOL, it went quiet for a second so let’s see… Sounds more mainstream; I liked his older beats from just 1-2 years ago? That’s not even that long ago… Anyway, tha hook’s nice; good shit from Lavish!! He’s even on tha 1st verse, soundin’ pretty gutta here on tha 1st verse!! Now, it sounds like a street-type beat, so that’s a plus. You’re on tha 2nd verse, strictly raw shit here!! Gotta luv tha energy in your voice!! Tha 3rd verse iz hot; VERY good gangsta-type lyrics here for tha ’10!! My Rating: 4.5

Ooh, a legend on tha feature and a new producer (for me) on tha beat (Sinista)!! This should be excitin’… once again!! >>> Pretty good start here. A lil’ mainstream-soundin’ but it prolly gon be hot! You doin’ tha damn thang on tha hook!! DEFINITELY feelin’ it!! You got content on lock and tha 1st verse iz even startin’ off good!! Tha beat’s soundin’ hot when you’re rappin’ on it! Here’s tha 2nd verse from Vicious, “skills that demonstrate;” good job! Nice collaboration, ya dig? Yes, you’re on tha 3rd verse! Real shit, you sound betta than Vicious on this. I’m real glad y’all collaborated though, but you have dat consistent shit wit dat consistent voice too! My Rating: 4.5

Sinista beat right here. I have a feelin’ this ain’t gonna be that special for me. I think I know of one or two of tha featured artists from tha past. >>> Yup, a pretty bad start for me. Hope you can help it wit your rappin’… Tha hook ain’t dat bad… Okay, tha special voice from you in tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit tha energy… still! Keepin’ it goin’ on tha 2nd verse here as tha beat’s pretty good itself. My Rating: 3.4

Ooh, tha start has a HOTTER beat and it sounds like you have a VL Mike sound!! Feelin’ tha 1st verse here; nothin’ but HOTNESS in tha rhymes and consistent wit tha rhymin’!! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha street shit in tha 2nd verse here! “$750,000 was my bond;” what?!? What was tha situation?!? This iz tha same “was in jail” shit I quoted about from tha last time? “Started sellin’ drank;” what’s that like? Nice start to tha 3rd verse… My Rating: 4.4

Kojack on tha beat again! How will this one turn out? >>> Again, tha organ caught my attention in tha beat. Interestin’ singin’ in tha hook this time ova this beat. YEAH!!! Here you are on tha 1st verse!!! Interestin’ shit again; keep it comin’! Mo good shit on tha 2nd verse; every rhyme you spit brings interest ta me ‘cause you KNOW how ta hold it down!! Wow, it seems like this iz long as hell (in a good way)! Thought it was a 4th verse at first but it’s just a 3rd. I like tha “by 2012, … ‘round tha Boot” line; interestin’ (as always)! No wonder why I recognized tha name, lol… Okay, onto tha real spit verses wit Budda on tha 1st verse, soundin’ pretty good here. Iz this Lil’ One The Champ or tha old rapper Lil’ One on tha 2nd verse? Not bad on tha verse… Damn, you’re on tha 3rd verse? What a BLESSIN’ here wit tha fast rappin’!!! Keep it goin’!!! Timeless on tha beat. I dunno, let’s see this… >>> Tha beat sounds like good 90’s/Early 2000’s. Kinda non-Louisiana wit those NY samples but this iz acceptable. Nice job wit tha 1st verse; it’s all about luvin’ “Hip-Hop,” ya heard me?!? Tha 2nd verse iz cool; sounds like somethin’ err-body can listen to. Tha 3rd verse iz tight too; good shit! My Rating: 4.0

Big Boy on tha beat!! Let’s keep it goin’!!! >>> Okay start. Anotha borderline, non-Louisiana-soundin’ song that’s pretty good. Sounds like you’re doin’ ya thang on tha 1st verse here. I hope tha shit I can do for you can help you come from your previous struggles!! Oh, G-Lynn’s a female? I guess tha “Lynn” in her name, lol. Strong content wit a Rich beat… >>> Thought it was my boy A.R. on tha sample for a second but lol, it’s Tupac. Okay, I’m likin’ tha beat in tha 1st verse; nice piano. You sound pretty good wit tha consistent rhymes! Tha 2nd verse sounds like you’re tryin’ ta escape all tha bullshit. That’s a mission. I hope my mission completes when I get ta do shit in person wit people. I don’t know when dat day’s gonna come… What’s up wit tha really long ending? Cool beat, but you’ve had like three-verse songs throughout this whole CD… My Rating: 3.8

Oh, so you have your daughter on tha track? Big Boy on tha beat so let’s see what we’ll end it with… >>> Sounds like 90’s New Orleans Rap in tha beginning wit tha audience. LOL, are you like 35 or somethin’ ‘cause of your daughter soundin’ like a teenager? Thought she was gonna be like two, three, four, or five, lol. Tha beat’s not bad; somewhat good for an outro track. Tha rhymes are good; you doin’ ya thang ova these cymbols. Tha 2nd verse’s pretty good wit how you bring it to tha table. Tha beat makes me feel a lil’ bored at times though; it should change up with excitement. You kept it goin’ wit tha 3rd verse too; not bad overall… My Rating: 3.5


Overall: Kinda here-and-there on tha 2nd ½ but overall, DEFINITELY a GR8 rapper you are!! You make things sound anticipatin’; keep holdin’ ya city down!!
