Review #1,813: DJ Tremon "Hottest In The City 7"

Reviewed on 8.15.2019 (Review #1,813)

Got tha final installment fa DJ Tremon Hottest In The City 7, right nah—tha review, that iz! Just like Vol. 2, this one got removed from DatPiff, smh. However, it’s on SoundCloud, so I’m able ta listen/review it…! Start Time: 9:39 PM | End Time: 10:37 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2019 CD Review (Review #1,813) reviewed on 8.15.2019 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. O.U. Bird “2 By 2”
Looks like we’re gonna start this off right! >>> Sounds good; was caught off-guard wit tha “we don’t shmoke 1, we shmoke 2.” Thought it was gon be 100% str8 pillhead shit but this sounds good. Toward tha end of tha hook, he goin’ “2 By 2,” as far as tha pillz go. Wit dat bein’ said, good job wit tha hook & rappin’ ova this beat. Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds cool; glad he luv gettin’ fulla dat shit! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty dope, too; gotta dig it! “Dat nigga fulla dat shit!” My Rating: 4.2

02. Jaye London & Famous “Aim Game Nasty”
>>> Sounds cool wit this vibe; almost sounds like Supa (sampled) on tha hook, when they say tha title. Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ good, strictly “rollin’ on dat suicide!” Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s cool; no Supa sample here, but it sounded like him… Overall, I’m diggin’ this; let’s keep it goin’! My Rating: 3.8

03. Shon Thang “Murda Man Talk”
>>> Almost ain’t feel tha voice, at first (thought it was YoungBoy or somethin’). However, this ain’t too bad. Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it str8; let’s see what else this got… Hearin’ tha hook and tha voice sounds a lil’ more annoying, based off tha stronger emotion bein’ delivered. I’ono, I’ll have ta see how this one progresses… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s aight. Overall, I thank I’m slightly more annoyed than impressed… My Rating: 2.6

04. Yotsai feat. Taywrk “30mg”
>>> A DJ Swift beat, here; likin’ this title, too… Sounds like a good lil’ gangsta-soundin’ hook, wit tha cockin’ goin’ on. Beat’s on point ta keep these dudes hyped; good shit! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ good; gotta be “fulla dat good…!” Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and dude sound pretty quick wit tha rappin’; good shit. Feelin’ his BR swag, as far as how he raps; good shit. My Rating: 3.8

05. Gang Music “How To Act”
>>> Likin’ this intro/hook; “fulla purp!” Tha beat sounds pretty dope, too, once it kicks in! Sounds like a classic Mouse/Q-Red/B-Real production; good shit! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds good ta get tha “whole club dumb;” late 2010’s-type BR shit! “I finna hit up Vibes 2night;” I still gotta hit dat bitch up. I went to a coupla places (DJ’s Club Elite, Bella Noche, Tremon’s & a few others) but there’s a few I gotta hit up. Can’t wait fa my shake back! One day, next decade, I guess? Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here… Ain’t expect tha deeper-soundin’ voice; almost doesn’t fit tha energy level? Not bad but luckily, it was only a ½ verse and now, we got anotha member of Gang Music on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse… Comin’ through, bar’d-up! Good shit! My Rating: 4.2

06. Mista Cain feat. T.Y. & Lil’ Soulja Slim “Break Bread”
No title? >>> Sounds a lil’ catchy but shitty wit tha vocals, on tha hook. Guess this one called “Break Bread”? Got a normal-soundin’ Mista on tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ like he braggin’, braggin’. “$30,000 in dat bag,” huh? Surprised I ain’t even get a dolla fa all tha great shit I do fa BR, yet, from him; disappointing! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from B.G.’s son and it str8; good lil’ contribution. Now, to anotha son: Soulja Slim’s, on 3rd verse: Soundin’ good wit what he spittin’; “Magnolia to da bone.” Good verses, here, despite tha shitty-soundin’ hook. On anotha note, Mista should “Break Bread” wit me! I been showin’ him luv since May 2009! My Rating: 2.8

07. Rocky Mountainz feat. Jade Delvalle “I Am Dope”
I know this one familiar; an added feature, this time? Needless ta say, I still feel tha same way as I did about this on Vol. 5… Did this new version need a female? It’s cool; it fits tha vibe, so it’s a non-affectin’ bonus. My Current Rating: 3.5

08. GG Records “Outside”
>>> Reppin’ fa da “slimez,” here… Sounds a lil’ annoying wit tha way they sound, on tha hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I’ono if I’m diggin’ this flow. Just sounds like a bunch of lyrics bein’ slammed in yo face… Sometimes, I dig it; I might dig otha songs of theirs, in tha future… Not feelin’ tha voice of tha 2nd verse, neither; gotta ditch tha effects ‘cause it affects! Get it?! Like, what’s goin’ on from 1:48 – 2:00? Lyrics, lyrics, lyrics, lyrics, lyrics, lyrics, lyrics just bein’ shoved atcha! My Rating: 1.4

09. Beezy K “System”
Now wit only one “K”, unless I keep confusin’ this wit tha Beezy KKK; am I confusin’ myself, right nah? >>> Sounds like a YoungBoy flow; good rhymes but nothin’ special to catch on to me… Let’s keep tha YoungBoy-soundin’ music ta other people—oh wait, for tha past 19 years, I’ve been all about tha underrated. Guess I betta stay that way? My Rating: 2.2

10. Flow Gamble “Fuck A Hook”
>>> Sounds like a regular-soundin’ day in tha life of Flow Gamble, here, on tha 1st verse… Tha beat makes it sound more like it’s for tha club, so it’s like a club vs. real-life vibe, here… “If you my nigga, why tha fuck you neva post my shit!” Oh, I feel that line! Produced and had two tracks where dudes rapped on, as well as made music videos to. Not once did I get a retag, post, etc.; no luv shown! Maybe, next time, they should pay me instead of me payin’ them? Definitely feel dat line; tha struggle’s real! Continuin’ on, tha rest of this aight; feelin’ tha aggression…! My Rating: 3.7

11. Kocaine feat. IamPicasso “Gangsta Gangsta”
>>> Sounds good, on tha hook; good lil’ “gangsta”-soundin’ hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s str8… Tha 2nd dude str8, too; a str8 lil’ quick track, here… My Rating: 3.6

12. 225 Slugga “Pop Off”
>>> Hook sounds nice and energetic; luv how it took tha 2nd ½ of tha hook ta let tha energy rise! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and dude sound cool wit tha “dog” parts; throwback-soundin’ rap vibe that I would love! Keepin’ it movin’, dude got tha streetz on lock, here, but fuses tha club vibe very well, as well! Tha 2nd verse sound str8, too. Why he gotta go an auto-tune route, at times, durin’ tha verse? Sounds like it got drowned in tha wrong medicine, smh! My Rating: 3.7

13. Amber Jewelz “Out The Gate”
>>> Sounds like she focused fa tha clubz, here, on tha hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and she sounds str8; good shit, I’ll admit… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice. Not really tha kinda shit I’d embrace too much but I’ll give her her props for me not bashin’ anythang about this track. My Rating: 3.7

½time: Mostly decent tracks, this time, with a coupla misses… A 3.3-rated CD, so far; let’s see how we continue…

14. Self 1st Santana “Po Up”
>>> Not feelin’ this a-tuned voice, on tha hook & beat. Durin’ tha 1st verse, it just sounds like random rappin’… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and I’m wonderin’ why I’m bein’ bothered…? Ugh, tha mumblin’!! My Rating: 1.1

15. Giovelli “Ex Pills”
Can we recover…? >>> A lil’ too sing-rap-y fa me, on tha hook. It sounds like they took notes from YoungBoy’s flow, smh. Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds okay; nothin’ special; don’t even sound like it goes wit tha title? Odd that he says, “Be real,” so many times, before tha verse ends. It’s like, B-Real all about dem “pillz” but this ain’t on dat level… Tha 2nd verse sounds like it’s startin’ off annoying; what tha hell wit tha noise sound at 2:06? It’s like their interest fell off fa tha rest of this track; really? My Rating: 1.6

16. DAF x WUE “Unusual”
>>> Looks like it’s startin’ ta become a struggle fa me to recover feelin’ this mixtape, right nah… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s more annoying vocals; beat just sounds like a regular-soundin’ beat? What happened to tha Louisiana sound I was used ta hearin’? No comment on tha 1st verse, here; seems so long fa 3:16! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and I don’t have no comment, neither… “I’m in my bag like I’m some groceries;” ugh… Still 1:01 left? Why…? A 3rd verse, here—3rd!! No comment; just so much braggin’! “………walkin’ like Bambi…;” somethin’-somethin’… Like, whaaaaaaaaaaaat…?!? First, we got “groceries!” Now, we get “Bambi?!” My Rating: 1.2

17. 2.0 “Stupid”
>>> A lil’ betta, wit this hook/beat/vibe… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s str8; just a lotta rappin’ that just sounds like random shit? Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and my interest goin’ downhill. I’ono, I can’t feel this as much as otha club bangaz on these mixtapes… My Rating: 2.4

18. Miss Portia “It’s Gon Cost You (NOLA Remix)”
Don’t forget that apostrophe in “Its!” >>> Glad “it’s” on a bounce level, here, at least…! An okay-soundin’ remix, here; rememba: I still gotta recover my interest fa this mixtape. Tha singin’ sounds okay; I’d rather that rap that repeats/slams in yo face fa dis bounce shit, tho. Not much after; ehh, guess we gotta move on…? My Rating: 2.9

19. Dame Cain feat. Karter With Tha K “Sit Up”
That’s a funny name fa tha featured artist… >>> A lil’ betta than tha bounce remix I just heard; sounds good wit this hook. Hearin’ tha 1st verse & I ain’t thank this Karter was a chick. Sounds like an okay verse; glad she on a club tip, gettin’ “ratchet wit it.” Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here & Cain soundin’ like he got tha world by tha ballz, here—I mean, club, not world… Sounds good, mainly; I’ll give it props… My Rating: 3.7

20. Beatking feat. Furly “Infruname”
Furly on tha feature; let’s see if we get a bounced-up vibe? >>> Sounds like a good/hyped-up hook, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it cool from Furly; she keep shit on lock, despite it not bein’ a 100% bounce beat. I still like tha sounds goin’ on throughout tha verse; interestin’… Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha Beatking on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit his club-type shit. “Drug you like Cardi B,” huh? Oh, “Cardi…” “I want some head like dreadlocks,” huh? Good shit…! Ugh, that word! “Boujee!” That “J”! I rather shmoke one than see it in “Boujee,” lol! My Rating: 3.8

21.
No #21? Gonna have to not count it… My Rating: N/A

22. Box & Level “Too Much”
I got ta meet Box earlier this year, on February 28 (night of February 27):
Excitin’; he spotted me in da club! Now, let’s see tha excitement, here! >>> Finally, back ta normal!! Sounds great wit Level depectin’ tha “Too Much”-type hook! Can’t have “Too Much” Level! Good shit on tha 1st verse, too, Lev! “Shout out ta Mouse that’s my muthafuckin’ roll dog!” I really wanna link up wit tha both of ‘em (Mouse & Level)! Gotta make it a future opportunity! I have Box’s # so I may have a chance? Next trip? Keepin’ it goin’ wit Box on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit dat good shit; glad he holdin’ it down as a ‘70s baby in his ‘40s, almost a decade older than me! Gotta keep it movin’! Glad he feels tha vibe! My Rating: 4.4

23. Gutta Soulja “Better Chill”
>>> Dude sounds good on tha hyped-up hook, here, on this beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds good, too; gotta luv tha hype! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it cool, too; good shit! My Rating: 4.1

24. Mona Lysa “Boss Shyt”
Got tha “Final” in tha ID, here… >>> Sounds like she got some good, consistent rhymes ta offer fa da club, here? Good lil’ 1st verse; I’m feelin’ her consistency… Feelin’ her “raw” shit, as well as tha hook, toward tha end… My Rating: 4.0

25. Bukk Fastgame feat. Bezo Luciano “Drip”
I rememba seein’ a video of this wit, of course, flashin’ money… >>> Sounds good wit tha “Drip” shit goin’ on, throughout tha hook. Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Fastgame and it sounds good; I’ll give it props, despite bein’ hit by tha “money!” Got Bezo on tha 2nd verse and, of course, he reaches for tha “money” so fast…! Luv how he pulls success outta himself, all tha time. Glad he got that kinda success; glad he luv tha “Drip!” My Rating: 4.1

26.
No #26… My Rating: N/A

27. Symore Banks “UGQ”
>>> Endin’ wit a chick, here… Beat’s basic & her rhymes are ehh; kinda bored, here… Hook sounds like a Z-Ro sample or somethin’… Just ends wit tha long hook. I feel like tha hook’s tha best outta this one but not too much interest, regardless. My Rating: 2.5

Overall: Wow, this was unda an hour? Either way, this might be tha weakest outta tha compilations I reviewed. There were no 4.6+’s and most of tha tracks didn’t really give me a good vibe. Shout out ta Box & Level for makin’ a stellar appearance! Couldn’t imagine what my #1 woulda been if it wasn’t for them! Either way, glad you appreciate my time; hope you appreciate all of it! Hope to review Vol. 2, one day & hopefully, on my next trip down, we’ll link up/I’ll make it down on a club night!

Review #1,604: Zoe Realla "Shit Just Got Realla (Hosted by DJ Chill)"

Reviewed on 12.02.2016 (Review #1,604)

Tryna counteract a headache, at tha moment… Got two more reviewz to do before I get to my old Louisiana CD reviewz… Here’s tha 1st one, brought to you by Travis James Entertainment & Kreature Lyfe Mentality: Zoe Realla Shit Just Got Realla (Hosted by DJ Chill), in preparation fa tha follow-up, which I will review after this! Today, they gave me off so I’m catchin’ up on err-thang!!! Start Time: 11:15 AM | End Time: 12:37 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Walk Light” feat. Scotty Cain & Maine Musik
Kickin’ it off wit some of dis… >>> Nice lil’ intro from DJ Chill, here, and this beat’s pretty tight! Definitely somethin’ nice! Feelin’ tha hook, here; jammin’ and good street shit! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice; definitely some nice shit, here! Can’t complain! Y’all pros at dis!! Tha 2nd verse pretty consistent wit these rhymes; definitely nice! You know what was also nice? I just went to my job to get somethin’ 20 minutes ago and they all went nuts over me! They all were wonderin’ where I was and they even said that I was “a celebrity!” Gotta thank DJ B-Real fa tha celebrity status!! Too bad he don’t want none of my star power! And, saved tha best fa last? You on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit your “yeah” commands, lol! My Rating: 4.7

02. “Nowhere” feat. Maine Musik & Dame Cain
Likin’ all these Maine Musik collabs! >>> Mouse doin’ tha beat? Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this! Definitely soundin’ nice fa tha streetz, here! Good shit on tha hook, here! Good shit on tha 1st verse from Maine, doin’ tha damn thang, consistently! And, we got you on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, aimin’ right! And, Dame Cain on tha 3rd verse, spittin’ it like it’s nothin’; nice! My Rating: 4.5

03. “Trust Issues” feat. Jamar Major & Yani
Let’s get it!! >>> Nice lil’ southern beat wit you spittin’ some good shit on tha 1st verse, here; dope! Tha hook aight, but I’m not too crazy about tha voice… I won’t 100% hate on it, since you tend to make good tracks, Zoe… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from you and it sounds good ta hear, once again… And, anotha annoying voice toward tha end… It may’ve just been a lil’ bridge instead of a verse, but it’s ehh… My Rating: 3.8

04. “Rumors” feat. Kennedy Dha Boogieman & Dame Cain
Let’s see this Boogie Man…! >>> Mouse doin’ tha beat; leggo! Nice lil’ hook from you, here! It reminds me of how you always are, from when I first heard you wit dat Nu$$ie “Snitch” collab from last decade! You just lay down tha hook nice and calm, but you, literally, tha greatest!! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice from you, layin’ down tha facts! Gotta show you buku luv; followin’ me on Twitter’s a highlight! Really feelin’ tha 2nd verse, here, wit tha spellin’ of “R-U-M-O-R-S” and “D-E-A-D;” dope shit from Dha Boogie Man!! Excellent job with tha verse!! Tha 3rd verse from Mr. Cain sounds nice ta hear with tha consistent “oh-oh”-soundin’ rhymes… My Rating: 4.6

05. “Ventin’ A Lil’ Bit”
No features? Hope you gon hold it down (of course)! >>> Sounds like a lil’ calm beat, but it would feel better to me wit warm weather! Not bad wit how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse… Lol, you stuck on tha “rumors,” still, lol? I can tell; you mentioned tha word, already! I like how you said tha last set of lines in tha 1st verse, holdin’ tha notes (“shiiiit;” “diiiiick”); nice! Said tha title before tha hook (just talkin’) like it was tha ‘90s. That’s what I do when it comes to tha rappin’…! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, doin’ you… My Rating: 4.0

06. “True Colors” feat. Yani
Not really anticipatin’ tha feature, since that previous feature with Yani kinda had its issues… >>> And, tha unanticipatin’ feelin’ came “true”: Cyndi Lauper remake on tha hook? Bleh… Might as well not leave feedback for tha hook… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad wit how you comin’ through wit it… “I smell somethin’ fishy…, tuna!” Boom!! And, you comin’ through on tha 2nd verse in a nice way, too; can’t deny it, at times… I do have to admit, I do like when tha hook remakes, “That’s why I love you,” to, “That’s why, it’s, ‘fuck you!’” My Rating: 3.7

07. “Pain” feat. Q-Red
Let’s hear it!! >>> Q-Red doin’ tha beat, of course! Tha same “Hound” from Kevin Gates’ “Shit Could Get Real”? Ain’t really know much about them Hounds… A long intro, but it’s payin’ off with this intense-soundin’ production! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice! Yeah, you gotta admit, life’s choices are tough! Q-Red wit tha guitar’s pretty nice! And, even nicer: Him on tha hook! Definitely A+! You on tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ pretty nice! Definitely a nice collab! My Rating: 4.7

08. “Penitentiary EP”
Let’s hear this “EP”! >>> Oh boy, a B-Real beat! Damn, 7:56 on tha length?! Can’t be true!! Gotta feel that celeb status, tho!! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit how you comin’ through wit it on this interesting, slow beat! Interesting rhymes, but a lil’ too much? Like, why almost eight minutes? Even tha outro’s, like, 1:30! My Rating: 3.5

09. “A Whole Notha Mode”
>>> Feelin’ this beat and how you comin’ through on tha hook, chantin’ it up! Good shit! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit how you flowin’ on tha track… Tha 2nd verse pretty dope, too! Glad you havin’ fun wit this shit! Tha only cat that can prolly make “Duck, Duck, Goose” tight! My Rating: 4.4

½time: Doin’ pretty good, so far, of course! I ain’t doubt ya! Surprisingly, tha B-Real-produced track was tha least-rated, due to how long it was without transitioning… A few weird-soundin’ guests, but for tha most part, tha production’s on point and so are your tracks! A 4.2-rated CD, so far!

10. “Big Girls” feat. Kevin Gates
I believe I heard this from tha Bloody Murda (Promo EP)… Ironically, just like tha B-Real one, this was my lowest-ranked on that EP! My Current Rating: 4.2

11. “Shooters” feat. Yani, Racked-Up Ready & Rambo K-Kutta
Let’s hear it, despite tha Yani feature… >>> Sounds like a good beat, kinda like a throwback to that “Watch My Shoes”/Mouse/older Baton Rouge-soundin’ beats! Well, if this was Yani gon provide on tha hook, hopefully, that’s it! Sounds good; don’t need anything extra! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through in a nice way, here! Ready on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through nicely on tha track, too! It’s almost like he even has a throwback vibe to his flow, too, like them ’07 dayz! Keepin’ it goin’ wit Rambo on tha 3rd verse, soundin’ nice ta hear, as well! Good shit; nice collab! My Rating: 4.6

12. “Get It How U Live” feat. Scotty Cain, Maine Musik, Dame Cain & T.E.C.
Anotha big collab!! >>> “Take it back to tha dayz of tha old?” Have I heard before? Don’t look familiar… Mouse on tha beat, here, and it’s pretty jammin’! Definitely diggin’ tha title repeatin’ in tha background! Nice job wit this hook; tight-ass shit! Sounds like some Juve/Lil’ Wayne/Hot Boy$-type shit from tha late ‘90s! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty serious, too! Definitely feelin’ tha vibe y’all bringin’ to tha table! Hook’s definitely serious wit how y’all bringin’ it! Can’t deny this shit!! You sound good wit how you bringin’ tha heat on this track; dumb shit! My Rating: 4.8

13. “U Ain’t Got Dhat 2 Do” feat. Kennedy Dha Boogieman & Maine Musik
Let’s hear it! Did y’all run outta room on tha back cover or somethin’? >>> Sounds like it’s a good lil’ track based off tha beginning… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you spittin’ some good facts… Tha hook sounds decent; can’t deny it… Hearin’ Dha Boogieman on tha 2nd verse and he sound cool; can’t deny him! Rhymes and punchlines are dope! Maine Musik on tha 3rd verse and it sounds great, as always. However, why iz it that I’ve been always hearin’ reversed names or whateva? Like, why it gotta be censored? It’s crazy! He even said, “Watch what you say!” It’s like, “Watch what you say?!” My Rating: 4.3

14. “Nah” feat. Maine Musik, Dame Cain & T.E.C.
>>> Sounds like a cool lil’ track wit tha “nah” on tha hook! I like how it’s kinda meant for ‘now’ and sounds good ta be “Nah”! Nice job wit tha hook, Zoe! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit dat good shit… Tha 2nd verse soundin’ good; almost sounds like a younger Lil’ Cali or somethin’… I see tha names are reversed on tha back cover, as opposed to tha tracklist on tha mp3 info… Well, with that bein’ said, Maine Musik before Dame Cain… Nice job wit tha collaboration between tha 3rd verse, tho; feelin’ it… My Rating: 4.4

15. “Honey Love”
Like Gloria, a “honey!” >>> Ain’t expect an R&B-type track outta nowhere, but I like how you sound in tha beginning… Let’s see how we gon do wit Q-Red doin’ this beat… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it ain’t too bad; definitely likin’ tha beat, lol… Tha hook’s a ‘90s sample; decent, but not bad… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, as well… Tha rest of this was pretty nice; definitely likin’ tha hook, too, lol… Speakin’ of Gloria from my job, lol, even mentioned “lemon” on tha sample, toward tha end! “How are tha lemons?!,” every morning!! My Rating: 3.9

16. “Used 2 Be In Love Witcha” feat. Yani
Now, I’ono if this’ll compare to Glor’s “Honey [Love]”! >>> Yeah, this kinda less-exciting than tha previous track but it’s whateva wit Yani on tha hook… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it decent… You ain’t wanna do a 2nd verse? Yani on tha 2nd verse; not interested in most of these rhymes… Neva mind, it iz you on tha 2nd verse but that was a lil’ extended of a hook from Yani, earlier… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it ain’t bad, once again; can’t complain… My Rating: 3.1

17. “Judas”
>>> Music before my job existed? Now, we got Gotye & Kimbra “Somebody That I Used To Know” on tha sample, here… It’s crazy ‘cause back when that song was big, four years ago, I was still pretty serious about all these reviewz and all this Louisiana shit. So, for it to be sampled, I almost feel like we in tha same world. Well, we really not…! B-Real used to care about me/be connected wit me! It’s all good, tho! Luv music before my job existed! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ catchy wit how you comin’ through ova this beat… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse, here, and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, as well… My Rating: 4.2

18. “Another Man”
>>> Endin’ it with a Q-Red beat; let’s see, here… Kinda sounds like it gon be sad or somethin’? I’ono how serious I can take this beat, as it’s kinda poppy. However, it has its quality? You on tha 1st verse ain’t too bad, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s bleh…; nothin’ really goin’ on wit tha sample… And, hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it ain’t bad; nothin’ I can really say, tho… My Rating: 2.6

Overall: I have to say, tha front and back cover to this CD’s definitely dope!! You got them royal colors of black and gold on; dumb shit!! Gotta look up to ya at all times, ya dig?! Too much grindin’, to where I had a headache and had to nap for a few hours before I got to finish this… But, anyway, I thought you did a nice job wit this! Makes me excited to know that I have even more to peep out from you! Can’t wait ta hear! Keep tha excellent production crew and features comin’!!

Review #1,596: Byrd "Possession With Intent"

Reviewed on 11.14.2016 (Review #1,596)

Keepin’ some of these older reviewz goin’, next up, I got Byrd Possession With Intent, here. I first heard of Square Bizness Byrd last year, when he was featured on Baton Rouger, Bubba’s “I’ma Hustle” track. Now, it’s time he get some shine, sponsored by Square Bizness Only & Road Runners! Start Time: 5:22 PM | End Time: 7:14 PM

Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2016 CD Review (Review #1,596) reviewed on 11.14.2016 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Introduction (Y.N.)”
>>> Sounds anticipatin’ with this Q-Red beat! Hearin’ you on tha verse and it sounds like you’re really energetic fa these streetz! I thought you were a lil’ more laidback but this iz pretty pure! Nice rhymes, holdin’ it down for tha streetz consistently! My Rating: 4.4

02. “Kilo”
>>> Anotha one from Q-Red! Likin’ how tha beginning keeps me anticipated in a delaying way! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice with this “kilo!” Sounds like one of those great anthems fa tha Baton Rouge streetz! Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ pretty nice, here, with how you holdin’ it down! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ great, as well! Damn! Why 43 seconds of silence at tha end? My Rating: 4.2

03. “Lite Work” feat. Kevin Gates
>>> Keepin’ tha Q-Red beats comin’, what’s with this Gates shit in tha 1st verse? Are tha features not listed? If so, here’s Gates on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some consistent rhymes! Fuck! Tha feature not on tha filename but it iz on tha site! Anyway, tha hook’s pretty nice and simple; I can fuck wit it… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice ta hear! Good shit, consistently comin’ through wit it! Good shit goin’ on wit tha 3rd verse, here, as you’re one of them celebs you gotta luv in tha undaground! My Rating: 4.3

04. “Out Da Mudd” feat. Niyo Da Vinci
Niyo Da Vinci beat… >>> Decent beat, but fuck this Niyo-featured dude with his gay-ass voice! 0% interest in tha hook! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds good… “Same clothes fa two dayz;” of course! When you grindin’ so much, you gotta! Hate those that gotta be all insecure and super-clean, smh! Tha 2nd verse from you ain’t too bad; sounds good, too… You really could’ve done it without that dumb feature on tha hook, ruinin’ err-thang, includin’ your potential at a five-star-rated CD! My Rating: 3.4

05. “Stunt Down” feat. Zoe Realla
>>> Q-Red! Q-Red! Q-Red! Sounds like you’re into a club vibe, here, on tha hook; good shit! Likin’ how tha both of y’all team up on tha 2nd ½ of tha hook! Q doin’ tha damn thang on tha beat and you providin’ all tha energy/aggression on tha 1st verse! Zoe on tha 2nd verse, soundin’ nice ta blend in with your energy… He more laidback ta help you out, here, while you aggressively handled this track well! My Rating: 4.4
EDIT: Now that I finally found tha back cover—courtesy of DatPiff—I see that this was produced by Q-Red AND B-Real!! Lol!!

06. “Head Down”
>>> Q-Red doin’ tha beat, once again! Again, it sounds exciting ta hear and I can’t wait ta see how you gon hold this one down! Good shit wit how you comin’ through wit it on tha 1st verse! Energy and quality, undaground rap at its finest!! Tha hook’s pretty nice! Just diggin’ your style at all times! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice, too! I’ono, but I’m just diggin’ this vibe, here! Both “Down” tracks; which one do I like betta? Gonna have to tie ‘em! My Rating: 4.4

07. “Behind A Bitch”
Niyo Da Vinci beat… >>> Damn! Don’t think I’m feelin’ your voice on tha hook, here! Fail! Beat kinda nice, but with this voice effect you applyin’ to your voice, here, I prolly gon say tha beat more mainstream… Ehh! Can’t tolerate it on tha 1st verse! You gon lose a lotta points!! At times, it kinda sounds like your voice iz normal but I’m guessin’ I’m dreamin’ or somethin’? Fa’get this… My Rating: 2.3

08. “Stick Up” feat. Ym Flow & Nino Wavey
No credit to Nino Wavey, here… >>> More of tha Q-to-tha-Red! Again!! Here we go with tha gay-ass voices!! Switchin’ it up to you on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit a normal voice, luckily… Even tho a gay featured voice in tha beginning, it sounds nice on this hook part, a lil’… Only that Q-Red beat slammin’ on tha hook blends in with it so it don’t so gay… Hearin’ tha dude on tha 1st verse (Ym Flow) and it’s pretty gay; fuck this random-ass shit! You on tha 2nd verse, here, spittin’ some nice rhymes ova this beat… My Rating: 3.1

½time: Only a 3.8-rated CD, so far. Most of this shit goes hard and iz tight. Only shit that’s makin’ it suck iz all tha random auto-tune bullshit. A few of tha features had auto-tune in their voices to fuck tha tracks up; even you had it! But, I hope tha best for tha rest! Q-Red holdin’ most of tha production down, too, at least!

09. “I Lean” feat. Zeek & Scotty Cain
No credit to tha features till I found tha back cover… Niyo Da Vinci beat… >>> G…A…Y…!! Too bad my wish failed on just seconds in!! Too bad I gon put up with this while I have so much shit to do… Just not diggin’ how you sound, here, but I’m likin’ tha calm/relaxin’ rap beat… I could appreciate this more if you had a normal voice! Fuck this, overall! My Rating: 2.6

10. “Look Like This” feat. Q-Red
Q-Red feature!! >>> Of course, Q-Red on tha beat, too! Can’t wait ta hear! Hope nothin’ disappoints!! At least tha beat A+, here! Anthemic and energetic at its finest! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice; gotta luv it! Tha hook’s pretty nice, too, doin’ tha damn thang! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, too, as you’re holdin’ it down! Q-Red on tha feature, but where he at? It’s you on tha 3rd verse, soundin’ nice! Well, he not really on tha feature; just on tha beat, here… I’ll still keep it positive and keep him in tha feature, tho! My Rating: 4.4

11. “Bring It Back” feat. Scotty Cain
B-Real beat! >>> Beat sounds nice ta hear, here… Hearin’ tha hook from you and it ain’t bad, here… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it pretty good, holdin’ tha streetz down with your flashyness… Hearin’ Scotty on tha 2nd verse and ehh, kinda ruins tha vibe with tha “money” shit, right away… Not too bad of a verse except that it sounds cocky… My Rating: 3.9

12. “All Day” feat. C-Stone The Bread Winner
Neva heard of C-Stone… >>> I honestly hope it’s real good with this Q-Red beat holdin’ tha intro down!! You doin’ tha damn thang on tha 1st verse, here, consistently holdin’ it down on this beat! Here comes this C-Stone dude on tha 2nd verse and damn, he kicked off his verse with “money,” too… I think he flows nicely ova this Q-Red beat. Maybe, his future iz like yours: Rap over Q-Red beats, don’t you think? My Rating: 4.3

13. “Jail” feat. Brickfare Zeke & Scotty Cain
Niyo Da Vinci beat, again… >>> Beat sounds cool, here, and it sounds nice wit how you want them to “get outta jail,” here, on tha hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you and you handlin’ this shit nicely, ova this beat! That Brickfare dude on tha 2nd verse? Why he 2nd in tha featured ID? Dickridin’? Gonna flip ‘em… It ain’t too bad of a verse, here… Hearin’ Scotty on tha 3rd verse and it sounds a lil’ betta; decent/catchy fa tha streetz… Really likin’ tha keys on tha outro to this beat! My Rating: 4.0

14. “Wonder Why” feat. Scotty Cain & Dame Cain
Neil On The Track beat… >>> Sounds pretty good with tha beat and how tha 1st verse’s comin’ along; nice job with tha street shit… Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some real-life shit, here… I think I like tha 1st verse betta, but it still good ta hear you wit a normal voice! And, anotha Cain-rapped verse on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ good… My Rating: 3.8

15. “I Know” feat. Trump Da Don
Niyo Da Vinci on tha beat, tho… >>> Beat’s pretty nice and pure, here… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, doin’ ya thang… Well, too bad this tha same exact song as #13! “Jail”! I knew it sounded familiar! Fuck!! Gonna have to skip this until I can hear it somewhere…
2nd Try: Ooh, I got it from DatPiff, tha only correct source! And, a back cover, where I gon update tha producer credits on this review! Lemme hear… >>> Prolly shoulda neva found it! Fuck this auto-tune bullshit!! Now, here you are with a normal voice, on tha 2nd verse, spittin’ some good shit. Either way, I have no interest in this whatsoever, thanx to Trump!! My Rating: 1.5

16. “Slow Lane” feat. Niyo Da Vinci & Scotty Cain
>>> Endin’ it wit a weak intro—ugh, that Niyo dude, again! Tha volume’s kinda quiet, here, and tha hook’s ehh; decent with your voice, tho… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad, here… Scotty on tha 2nd verse and he sounds pretty good, here; good shit… My Rating: 2.9

Overall: Thought this was gon turn out a lot better, especially with all tha Q-Red productions. However, quite often, there was shitty auto-tuned vocals ta ruin tha vibe. Imagine if we took out tha auto-tuned songs? You woulda had an extra 0.6 to your CD rating! But, there’s anotha CD of yours I’m peepin’ out now; can’t wait ta hear, tho! B-Real on tha production? Oh, boy! Preparin’ for his birthday tomorrow!!

Review #1,593: Doddie Savage "Savage 101: Roll Call"

Reviewed on 11.09.2016 (Review #1,593)

Here comes my next review, suggested by my boy, B-Don: Outta Baton Rouge, presented by YBN, it’s Doddie Savage Savage 101: Roll Call; here we go! Start Time: 4:20 PM | End Time: 5:12 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! © 2016 CD Review (Review #1,593) reviewed on 11.09.2016 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Intro”
>>> Beat sounds nice; great energy you’re providin’ to tha table, here! Tha verse sounds pretty serious fa tha Rouge streetz! My Rating: 4.2

02. “Bag” feat. Scotty Cain, Shon’Thang & Manu Gotti
Let’s hear it! >>> Austin doin’ tha beat, here; let’s see how it go… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds too much like K Camp’s song from last year, with Sauce Walka, only faster: “A Bag”! Either way, I’m kinda diggin’ this 2K16 version… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ good; consistent rhymin’ at its finest! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ good, too; “police” chase-type rappin’! And, tha 3rd verse’s pretty nice, too… Lots of consistent rappin’, again! Even tho it sounds nice, because it’s about money, I prolly won’t pay too much attention to it after this review… A 4th verse with only 27 seconds left…; ehh, too much “bandz” shit! My Rating: 3.8

03. “Flava” feat. AustinOnThaTrack & GeeMoneyPimpin’
>>> Beat sounds cool with those keys… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s simple but good; nice slow vibe, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it nice, even tho tha content of ‘I’m tha shit/you suck’ iz played out… This track really 4:58? Why? Whoeva on tha 2nd verse sound like they suck a dick in tha beginning, like it almost sounds like auto-tune, smh? After that, it ain’t too bad; just tha beginning threw me off… Tha rest of it decent, but nothin’ special; just anotha feature… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s whateva; nothin’ much ta say about this… Prolly coulda avoided tha “watch out, lil’ bih” shit; no need to reference/quote! My Rating: 3.6

04. “Let Me Get It”
>>> I have a feelin’ this gon suck… Beat sounds like it gon be cool, even tho tha first few seconds threw me off… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ decent… Rhymes aren’t anything special; just sounds like an okay, southern, undaground, Baton Rouge rap song… Hearin’ tha hook and it decent; nothin’ special… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and you just spittin’ random rhymes, here… Now, tha endin’ startin’ ta suck wit tha dick-suckin’ vocal shout outs! Lemme decrease my rating! My Rating: 3.4

05. “Something” feat. Dame Corleone
>>> Diggin’ tha street vibe in tha beat, here, from Austin; definitely nice! Feelin’ tha undaground vibe with tha hook, too, holdin’ shit down! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice; aggression at its finest! See, this sounds betta than tha random yada-yada previous song! Aggressive wit tha “boomerang!” Even got it goin’ on wit tha “out his drawers;” shit’s real! Hearin’ Dame on tha 2nd verse and he sound decent, even tho I’m diggin’ how he comin’ through on this beat… And, tha 3rd verse pretty serious; went all tha way till tha end! My Rating: 4.3

06. “Slangin’ Ks”
>>> Austin doin’ anotha track for ya, here, kickin’ off wit a hook? Now, back to tha beginning… Feelin’ tha energy and tha shit you bringin’ to tha table in tha 1st verse, here; good shit… Tha aggression continues right before tha hook; good shit! Nice job with tha 2nd verse, too…; consistent and aggressive! My Rating: 4.1

07. “StandDown” feat. Manu Gotti, Scotty Cain & Dame Corleone
>>> Consistent-soundin’ hook, here, with all kinds of energy ova this Baton Rouge-type beat! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s that quality Baton Rouge music at its finest! G-shit! Y’all sound good on tha 2nd verse, too, puttin’ it “down!” My Rating: 4.2

½time: Definitely feelin’ tha energy and aggression brought to tha table, here, fa tha 225! Nice job! A 3.9-rated CD, currently; keep it goin’!

08. “IonFuckAround”
>>> Definitely feelin’ tha beat, here, but tha background vocals, you gotta teach that dude not to suck a fuckin’ dick!! Austin doin’ tha track… Hearin’ tha hook and everything decent, except tha stupid-ass background vocals!! Yeah, fuck givin’ feedback on this. Just know that tha rappin’ decent; just hate tha background vocals!! What a way to ruin a good beat!! My Rating: 3.2

09. “YoungBossNigga” feat. Mitchy Mitch
>>> Anotha trashy song! Beat sounds like everything out right now, not even on a Baton Rouge tip! Tha hook repetitive and sounds stupid with tha voice… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and all this rappin’ decent; doesn’t have ta be fast! Not feelin’ how that dude comin’ through on tha 2nd verse, all about “money” and shit, non-stop, smh… My Rating: 2.2

10. “Call Me”
>>> Anotha stupid song!! Why tha auto-tuned, dick-suckin’ vocals on tha hook?!? Not my cup of tea with tha content of love songs, also! Whateva, whateva, whateva @ tha fast-rapped 1st verse… And, what am I ‘pose ta say about tha 2nd verse? No comment… My Rating: 1.1

11. “Forever”
>>> Tha less this sounds Baton Rouge-like, tha less I have interest in… Not diggin’ this Future vibe at all! Hook’s pretty boring; sounds like everything in tha mainstream! Tha 1st verse ehh…; no interest… Tha 2nd verse iz you representin’ for ya peeps; that’s it… My Rating: 2.0

12. “StruggleMusic”
>>> I gotta build my interest back fa this CD ‘cause I lost it… Beat ain’t too bad fa tha south and how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse with your real rhymes’ nice. However, these “struggle” songs ain’t really fa me… Tha hook sound cool ta flow with tha verses, but that’s about it… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it decent, too, holdin’ ya hood down… My Rating: 3.1

13. “Leave Dat Nigga” feat. Scotty Cain & Manu Gotti
>>> Austin beat; this sounds betta on tha hook, here… Tha beat pretty nice; let’s see how tha verses do… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and tha energy/aggression’s back! Nice job wit this shit! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, too, keepin’ tha vibe up… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s soundin’ good; jammin’ ova this beat! My Rating: 4.1

14. “Shakeout” feat. Dame Corleone & Scotty Cain
>>> Anotha Austin track; shit sounds nice! I’m likin’ this one betta! This sounds pretty nice on tha hook, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty tight, too! Now, this a song fa tha ladies! This how it’s done! Not that slow shit! Not that get-a-female-to-sing/rap-on-tha-track shit! This! Club shit! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, but I’ono how much I can fuck wit tha “1,000 $1’s” shit to tha ladies. It’s like, that money should go to me! I come before any female!! And, tha 3rd verse pretty serious, too; good shit! Ehh, “500 $1’s;” same thang!! My Rating: 4.3

15. “Oh Yeah”
>>> Endin’ wit a shitty song? Only 1:55? At least this’ll go fast! I hear tha dick-on-dick suckin’ in tha beginning, here! Ugh!! Sounds like a “Panda” flow, at times! Then, there’s noise-soundin’ shit and shit! Naw!!! Fuck naw!!! No comment on tha verse; was this even called for? My Rating: 1.0

Overall: I’ono, I’ont think this review should’ve had tha certification ta start at 4:20! Almost thought it was gonna end at 5:10 and be ironic (my brother’s death date time), but it was 5:12, smh! Half of this CD wasn’t really for me. Too many annoying vocal parts, some mainstream-soundin’, non-Louisiana shit, but for tha other half, there were them tight, aggressive tracks for tha clubs. Still, not enough to be good fa me!

Rankings:
