Review #1,027: Jason Lyric "The Whole Truth"

Reviewed on 7.10.2011 (Review #1,027)

My next review for today iz Jason Lyric “The Whole Truth. Start Time: 2:13 PM | End Time: 2:40 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

© 2011 CD Review (Review #1,027) reviewed on 7.10.2011 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Intro – I Do It”
Production by Y.E. Beatz, here. >>> Good intro, here. As far as tha actual song, it sounds like a catchy beat and some catchiness in tha hook wit this simple title/delivery of tha title. I’m feelin’ tha rhymes goin’ on, here, too; seems like you’re on a non-stop grind fa some gold! My Rating: 4.0

02. “Bullet In My Head” Feat. The Show
I like this title. Plus, The Show’s a feature so you know this should be somethin’ serious!! >>> Jontan David beat, here, which sounds good for a current, New Orleans-type joint. Tha hook sounds pretty nice and catchy, too; sounds like a nice lil’ joint before I could even hear tha rhymes, lol… Hearin’ tha rhymes, now, and tha slow flow, here, sounds nice wit tha great rhymes, at times! Show sounds good wit his catchy rhymes; they just keep goin’ and goin’ and goin’, lol! Wasn’t sure if a 3rd verse would be here but it’s you and it’s somewhat-good, too; was hoping to get some luck wit a ½ verse from Show, too… My Rating: 4.2

03. “Zone Out”
Same producer fa this song, too; what do we got here? >>> I have anticipation fa dis; let’s see if it’s worth bein’ a “single.” Well, I like tha faster BPMs, here; definitely grabbin’ my attention fa interest, here! Good job wit tha rhymes and tha hook’s pretty catchy, too; call this a winner! My Rating: 4.3

04. “I’m Paid” Feat. Pimpin’ Magnolia
A beat from Legit, here. >>> LOL, ain’t this funny? A Lil’ Wayne sample wit him havin’, like, food in his mouth iz entertainin’ ta hear! :rofl Tha rhymes are even somethin’ catchy, too; good job wit this collaboration! My Rating: 4.2

05. “Lights, Camera, Action” Feat. Joey Queans
Same producer again? LOL, good job wit these double combos? >>> Yup! Likin’ tha production, here; tha hook sounds like somethin’ good, too! Yes, some gangsta shit goin’ on, here; really feelin’ tha perspective fa tha streetz! Nice job fa gettin’ Mr. Queans on tha feature; good shit, although, why did it go out, or somethin’, when he said, “Rock N [?] beard.”? My Rating: 4.1

06. “It’s Alright”
More Legit productions… >>> Maybe three-in-a-row was too much; not too crazy ‘bout tha semi-soft, mainstream feel, here… Well, even though tha hook’s a lil’ smooth wit tha voice delivery and combination of tha production, I’m kinda likin’ it a lil’ bit… My Rating: 3.4

07. “Amped Up”
Ooh, 2 Saint beat! >>> An intro, here; good, as well as tha beat start remindin’ me of Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em “Let Me Get ‘Em”’s start. Sounds like you can fit wit Max Minelli wit how you sound on this, too, includin’ tha title bein’ one of his, too! Feelin’ tha way you continue ta come through wit this good-soundin’ content; nothin’ too boring about tha lyrics, too… My Rating: 4.1

08. “Pay Your Dues” Feat. C-Murder
2 Saint, again! >>> Oh, resurrection from 2009, a lil’ bit? Glad it’s an original version, though; guess this iz Ponchatoula (borderline of Baton Rouge sound) vs. New Orleans, here, since I first heard this as Lil’ Cali’s 2009 song from his “Cold Summer” CD. As far as this version, cool ta hear tha lady on tha hook, again (Pennie? If her, hope she ain’t unsourced). C-Murder sounds pretty nice on tha 1st verse; good for a Louisiana vs. Louisiana song! LOL, you sound like Max Minelli on tha 2nd verse; I see a future wit him, too. Nice job, overall, ya dig? An outro from Bengie B, too; good shit! My Rating: 4.3

½time: This iz a pretty-good CD, overall; thought I’d be disappointed but this iz some nice, consistent shit!! Currently, you’re at a 4.1 for tha CD rating!

09. “On Beam”
DJ Dyber on tha beat, here; how will it go? >>> Sounds like a cool anthem wit tha hook and beat; good job fa feelin’ good wit what you be goin’ through on a daily basis, Rap style! My Rating: 3.9

10. “My Last Name” Feat. M11
What this gon be about? No producer listed; jacked beat? >>> Doesn’t exactly sound like one but I like this theme about “givin’ someone [your] last name!” Sounds like tha lyrics are somethin’ serious and consistent! Pretty-good combo, overall, although tha hook’s slowly becomin’ kinda mainstreamish, for me, wit tha vocals… My Rating: 3.8

11. “Wonderful Life” Feat. Shawt Fella
Added “Fella” to Shawt’s name? He goes by a two-word name, now? Anyway, Y.E. Beatz, this time, wit tha production. >>> Sounds like what could be a good, mainstream song, based off its sound. I’m likin’ tha 2nd verse betta than tha 1st verse; sounds like some consistent shit comin’ from Shawt, here! My Rating: 3.8

12. “Woman”
Ben Rosen be—oh, I remember not goin’ for this when I heard it on a mixtape, previously; sorry. Then again, it’s a lil’ betta than 1.4. Once again, way too Pop for me; not a fan of this stupid-ass 2010s generation of mainstream music! My Current Rating: 1.9

13. “In This World”
Legit on tha beat, here. >>> An okay/good song; sounds catchy wit tha hook wit tha “in thi—in this world” part. My Rating: 3.7

14. “Get It Poppin’”
Y.E. Beatz doin’ tha beat, this time. >>> This goes wit “Woman” but this iz betta wit tha production and tha rhymes ain’t too bad, either. My Rating: 2.6

15. “She Know It”
Anotha Y.E. beat, here. >>> Sounds catchy wit tha hook, as well; I like how tha production iz, too. This has a good mainstream feel to it, too, which should sound good in futures, too. My Rating: 3.8

16. “Watch Me Stunt” Feat. Lady Karma & Y Luck
Mathematics on tha beat? LOL, what a simple name; let’s see what dis gon be like for an ending song… >>> Catchy wit tha screwed-soundin’ hook. Lady emergin’ on tha 1st verse, soundin’ like she’s readin’ somethin’, but in a catchy way, lol. Tha 2nd verse sounds consistent wit tha rhymes; nice shit… Tha 3rd verse iz good, too; seems like you have some catchy shit ta offer on this joint, too. My Rating: 3.8

Overall: Betta than I thought, especially when “Woman” was one of tha 1st songs I heard! Excluding #6, all of tha 1st ½ was 4.0 or higher; all of tha 2nd ½ was under 4.0. Unexpected, but at least tha 1st ½ was tha peak for me.

Rankings:

16.       “Woman” 1.9
15.       “Get It Poppin’” 2.6
14.       “It’s Alright” 3.4
13.       “In This World” 3.7

Review #940: M-11 "N.O. Exposed"

Reviewed on 5.22.2011 (Review #940)

My 3rd review for today iz TRU Records artist M-11 “N.O. Exposed. Start Time: 4:04 PM | End Time: 4:36 PM

01. InTRU w/DJ Age
An “InTRU” here, lol! >>> You sound like an internet rapper wit this quality, lol; I like tha dialogue, here. My Rating: N/A

02. “Hustle & Grind”
>>> Good rhymes over a tight-soundin’ beat; nice combo! Tha hook sounds good; it’s all about dat “hustle & grind!” My Rating: 4.2

03. “Break It Off”
>>> This sounds catchy wit tha hook and breakin’ shit “off.” Yea, why does everyone “wanna be a thug like Pac;” it iz “played out” and I’m glad I don’t follow typical people like Pac & Biggie, no offense! Nice job wit comin’ through fa tha real thugs in tha street and expressin’ to tha fakes why they need ta stop! My Rating: 4.0

04. “I’m On”
>>> Hook iz okay, although a lil’ gay wit tha vocals; I do like how dis beat sounds, though. Tha rhymes, here, are okay; a decent joint from you. My Rating: 3.2

05. Real Talk
>>> Nice skit. My Rating: N/A

06. “Choppas” Feat. C-Murder
Looks like it’ll be one of those A-graded collaborations! >>> Nice, faster-soundin’ beat, here! I like how C-Murder has a fast flow while still keepin’ it street to tha bone! Wit you on this joint wit C, it sounds pretty good. Tha rhymes are good but it don’t compare to C; at least y’all collaboratin’, though. My Rating: 4.1

07. “My City” Feat. C-Murder
Anotha collab? How will dis one go? >>> This beat sounds betta; this sounds more on a mainstream Rap level, kinda like an MTV Jams only/Rap City only-type song. C-Murder’s on tha 1st verse, again, and he sounds good wit these rhymes; gotta keep it A+ for tha streetz! You sound betta on tha 2nd verse, M-11; nice job wit tha street content but damn, you quoted “Tupac” when you said, “people act like him?” :confused Error…? “Eva since my father passed, I’ve been drivin’ reckless;” I know a death iz bad but to control your drivin’? My Rating: 4.2

08. “Armed Robbery”
>>> Good content, once again; I’m likin’ how you showin’ luv to tha Boot, here, wit tha content and peoples’s situations in jail. I like how you sound consistent wit tha flow and tha shit you rappin’ ‘bout; thumbs up! My Rating: 4.3

09. Craig B (Beats By The Pound) Shoutout
>>> Good shoutout, here. My Rating: N/A

10. “Yeeah, Heyy”
>>> Sounds like Jennifer Hudson sayin’ tha title in tha background; sounds pretty good fa a Rap song, though, for tha underground. Nice job wit holdin’ this joint down; good production and consistent rappin’ at its finest. My Rating: 4.0

11. “Freaks” Feat. Dougie Fresh
Looks like this iz a fake feature? Lemme see… >>> Sounds like it wit tha title repeatin’ as a sample, smh. Tha content iz a lil’ too typical for me (mainstream shit) so my interest izn’t too high, although some of tha shit, here, iz consistently delivered. Tha hook sounds good wit tha unlisted Jamaican artist; why she unlisted when there’s a fake feature listed? My Rating: 3.6

12. “Hood Rock”
>>> Beginning music sounds like Usher’s song before tha “My Boo” video a lil’ bit… Your flow sounds a lil’ catchy, here, wit how you holdin’ it down; not bad of a joint, here, for tha Rap heads. My Rating: 3.5

13. Fiend Shoutout
>>> :tu Love how he mentionin’ he “smokin’ somethin’ up in head;” you know what it iz! My Rating: N/A

14. “Put It On Ya” Feat. Mystikal
>>> Izn’t this “I’ont Like You”? Think it iz; must be another remix? For this CD bein’ aight, sounds like this iz a bonus, lol. Were you in tha background of this song? My Current Rating: 4.8

15. “Fuck ‘Em” Feat. C-Murder
Ooh, anotha collaboration! >>> Damn, tha interestin’ production from—soundin’ like KLC or Beats By The Pound—sounds tight, here, nearly like “Down For My Niggaz”; lol @ tha similar jointz outta nowhere. Anyway, nice collaboration; thumbs up fa tha both of y’all keepin’ shit on ‘n’ poppin’ to tha max!! My Rating: 4.6

½time: Tha previous two jointz really helped tha ratings go up, bringin’ tha average to a 4.0, currently; can you keep it up?

16. “Whip It Up”
>>> Sounds like Lil’ Wayne in tha beginning; luckily, it’s just a lil’ sample. As for tha rappin’ you got, here, it sounds pretty good…; nice job wit tha consistent mixtape song. My Rating: 4.2

17. “Beefin’” Feat. Joey Queans
>>> Sounds good for a new song; nice collaboration wit Queans! Tha hook’s nice and smooth for tha streetz, although I’m like, “fuckin’ ‘beefin’’,” ‘cause all it does iz cause deaths. You’re doin’ a nice job wit tha verses and Joey adds a lil’ bit of a plus to tha pot, here; nice shit he spittin’, within a consistent/tight mind! My Rating: 4.3

18. “Freedom Cry”
>>> Beat’s aight but tha sample’s a lil’ gay, especially since tha 1st 50% of tha song iz tha beginning/hook. As far as tha rappin’, it’s somewhat catchy but this izn’t tha best song fa me. My Rating: 3.3

19. M-11 Speaks
>>> Thumbs up fa a skit, bruh. My Rating: N/A

20. “R.I.P. Soulja Slim Tribute” Feat. Soulja Slim
>>> Almost sounds like “Beats How You Want ‘Em”’s tag in tha beginning; sounds like a nice compilation of Soulja Slim songs, here. Even though I feel like dis iz cheatin’ for this mixtape, since you’re not on it, I’ll rate it how I feel, still. My Rating: 4.3

21. “Uptown Anthem”
>>> Beginning sounds nice; sounds like you holdin’ shit down fa tha “uptown” and 504! Thumbs up fa dis content, too, especially near tha end! My Rating: 4.1

22. “Set It Off”
>>> Damn, anotha CD wit a Drake sample? :confused Tha one I heard previously sounded much betta/entertainin’; this one’s aight but nothin’ I wanna hear in a Louisiana CD. Tha rappin’, here, iz aight from you; still for tha streets, though, so that’s what’s up. I like how you shouted out “KLC” on this, too. My Rating: 3.7

23. “Bonified Hustler”
>>> LOL, people still samplin’ M.I.A.? Sounds cool; thumbs up fa tha sample wit tha tight beat, too! Tha rhymes sound catchy wit this flow; good job… My Rating: 4.2

24. “She Choosy”
>>> LOL, even more Yung Joc samples? Funny…; I think this sample’s pretty entertainin’, lol. Wit tha rhymes you got here, they’re aight; sounds like it could fit in tha mainstream more than wit my likin’… My Rating: 3.8

25. “Supra”
What? >>> Even though tha beat has a higher BPM, I’m not likin’ tha hook at all; way too mainstream for my likin’. My Rating: 2.6

26. “One False Move (Remix)” Feat. C-Murder & Akon
Damn, ’08 outta nowhere? This was a good song fa what it was; I still think this iz cheatin’… >>> Oh wait, you’re on this? Must be a remix…; good contribution from you, here. My Rating: 4.3

27. “Stay Strap”
You mean “Strapped”? >>> Nice intro in tha beginning; sounds like tight ‘90s music! I like how you’re comin’ through wit tha tight shit; good hook! I like how I’m learnin’ about you “at tha age of nine,” here; keep tha rhymes comin’! Too bad you had a bit of a struggle; I did… wit communication, and it was rough! This joint’s nice and consistent and doesn’t get too boring, mainly thanx to dat good beat! My Rating: 4.4

28. “Street Nigga” Feat. C-Murder
>>> Damn, still hearin’ this beat in ’11? :confused Good thing C-Murder’s on it; pretty nice shit from him! I like C’s “pop me a dolphin” shit goin’ on in tha 1st verse; glad he “rollin’, rollin’,” as I always got luv fa C! You’re doin’ a good job, too, wit what you’re contributin’ to tha track, boi. My Rating: 4.3

29. “Back 2 Tha ‘90s”
>>> Nice beat, here; good subject, too! Even though some of this vibe iz gettin’ repetitive, I like what you got, here, as far as tha rhymes, a lil’ bit… My Rating: 3.9

30. “Happy Feelings”
What will tha ending song sound like? >>> Damn, this sounds like ‘90s R&B than Rap for me wit tha hook… As far as what you got goin’ on wit tha rappin’, it’s aight; not too bad… Damn, anotha reference ta “Pac”? My Rating: 3.1

Overall: You did ya thang, here; good job…

Review #754: B Streezy "The Feature Vol. 1 (Hosted by DJ Hektik)"

Reviewed on 12.24.2010 (Review #754)

I dunno if I’ll like dis next one but whateva, it was sent to me: B Streezy “The Feature Vol. 1 (Hosted by DJ Hektik). Start Time: 8:33 PM | End Time: 10:03 PM

© 2010 CD Review (Review #754) reviewed on 12.24.2010 by FrankieThaLuckyDog. Other than tha main artist or affiliated people with tha main artist, this review iz to not be used in anyone else’s words!

01. Intro
>>> DJ Hektik DJin’ here. Weird dat it’s an updated version of “Kiss Kiss” for tha beat. I’ll just consider this an intro and not a song, yet. My Rating: N/A

02. “You (Remix)” Feat. Snipe
>>> Now, this sounds like an updated version of “Shawty”. Your voice kinda scares me at times but I’m not gonna skip tha songs unless Auto-Tune comes out. Sounds like it could be a future hit song or somethin’. Snipe sounds a lil’ gay in tha voice? Thought I’d hear an exact voice, smh. My Rating: 2.4

03. “Can’t Get Enough” (Joey Queans Feat. B Streezy)
>>> Since this iz a Rap song featuring you (tha R&B artist), this would be somethin’ that’s not for me; I’d expect better than a Pop/R&B sound. This iz decent fa what it iz, though. My Rating: 3.0

04. “Cover Girl” Feat. Curren$y
>>> Not too bad here but why are these songs around/over four minutes? Could’ve been, like, two or three minutes, instead. Sounds like some interestin’ lyrics and anotha potential hit single. Okay, where’s Curren$y? Okay, he’s toward tha end. He sounds quiet but pretty good at tha same time. My Rating: 3.5

05. “Stripper Of The Year” (Phive Mics Feat. B Streezy)
>>> Tha intro sounds pretty good wit tha beat… This sounds like tha kinda shit I used ta be like, “ooh, what iz this new joint/new artist? This’ll be big in mixshows,” back in, like, 2002-2004. Tha hook’s pretty catchy; definitely interestin’. I can see Connecticut’s Hot 93.7 playin’ this (which that quote I just said about myself iz who I was referrin’ to). My Rating: 3.7

06. “She’s Bad” Feat. Lil’ Boosie
Oh, an actual single, here? Not sure if I heard dis one, yet. Boosie on tha feature so let’s see what’s up… >>> Sounds a lil’ familiar but I don’t think I know it; pretty good, mainstream-soundin’ shit once again. Funny how Boosie starts tha verse off wit, “jiggin’ out my body;” funny mix! Anotha decent song… My Rating: 3.4

07. “Tomorrow” (Calliope Var Feat. B Streezy)
Ooh, looks interestin’ wit Var on tha feature! >>> I know all tha songs gon sound soft but hopefully, I’d expect some hood anthems or somethin’, soon. You know, some R&B songs have ta go hard, especially Rap/R&B collaborations. Var spittin’ some hot shit on tha 1st verse; I’m feelin’ what he bringin’ as far as dat gutta, 504-type shit! Not bad on tha hook; let’s keep it goin’… Not bad on tha 2nd verse… My Rating: 3.6

08. “My Thing” (Joey Da “Y” Feat. B Streezy)
>>> This sounds tha best as far as your singin’. I like tha catchy hook and some of tha Rapish lyrics, too, lol. Tha 1st verse ain’t too bad although some of tha lyrics are a lil’ Popish for me. Tha other verses are pretty good, too. I’m surprised dis iz over 4.5 minutes long. My Rating: 3.9

09. “Freak U” Feat. Y.Luck
I think I remember Y.Luck from either a review or someone’s review. >>> Sounds pretty smooth wit your voice here; I’m diggin’ it… Tha hook sounds kinda cool… Tha “upgrade u” part sounds a lil’ cliché/Beyoncéish… Finally, Y.Luck came outta nowhere and I dunno, not really feelin’ tha lyrics he’s spittin’. Tha “T-Pain/Lil’ Wayne” line kinda creeped me out as far as havin’ a quality ta listen… My Rating: 3.5

10. “Come Over” (Deno Feat. B Streezy)
Didn’t even see Deno’s name for a second. >>> Okay, tha beat’s more Rap here. Not that bad on tha 1st verse; not sure how much interest I’ll have on dis. You’re on tha hook and it’s good; handlin’ dis fa Deno pretty good… Tha 2nd verse was decent, too. Not too bad on tha 3rd verse, either… My Rating: 3.6

½time: 3.4 for an R&B mixtape’s CD rating? Pretty good so far, I must say.

11. “Body Hot” (Snipe Feat. B Streezy)
This looks like it’s gonna be “hot”! >>> Oh, I heard this already and wasn’t originally a fan of tha hook sample. I don’t remember what I rated it but it’s still a pretty good collaboration. Nice job fa Snipe havin’ this song and puttin’ you on it. He did a nice job wit dem verses, in this song’s perspective. My Current Rating: 3.5

12. “How Would You Like” Feat. Big Choo & 5th Ward Weebie
Interestin’ collaboration… >>> Sounds good fa tha beat start. You’re on tha hook and it’s pretty good fa what it iz; catchy wit dis beat. 5th Ward Weebie, that’s my boy! He always does a nice job when rappin’ and he helpin’ dis joint out! Good shit; good collab! My Rating: 3.8

13. “Tomorrow” (C-Murder Feat. B Streezy)
Looks like you did get some mainstream acknowledgment ‘cause DatPiff removed dis, lol. >>> Even though C-Murder’s a real tight rapper, this izn’t my kinda song, unfortunately. My Rating: 2.9

14. “Pussy Good” (Red Da Bull & Allie Feat. B Streezy)
Iz it Red Da Rula Allie or what it says on DatPiff (“Red Da Bull & Allie”)? Anyway, interestin’ shit; how will it sound? >>> I’m not too crazy about tha beat but tha hook’s hilarious, lol! Tha 1st verse ain’t too bad from dis Red Da Rula dude. Why’d his voice turn homosexual toward tha end of tha 1st verse? You can’t eat dick; no, no! Tha 2nd verse iz a girl? I’m gonna consider tha official feature as “Red Da Bull & Allie” ‘cause there’s a gurl on tha 2nd verse. Her shit sounds pretty interestin’, too. I’m really likin’ tha X-rated lyrics! My Rating: 3.9

15. “Come Over” (Lil’ One Da Rida Feat. B Streezy)
Let’s hear dis… >>> Sounds like tha Pop/R&B music I’m afraid of. Tha hook ain’t too bad, though, since it’s pretty positive fa tha ladies. Tha Lil’ One dude sounds a lil’ like Lil’ Wayne so I’m not sure how much I should take dis serious… Tha 2nd verse aight… My Rating: 3.0

16. “Hottest Chic” Feat. Tasha
Unfortunately, you’re outta luck; this song doesn’t play or was included in tha DatPiff folder. :( My Rating: N/A

17. “Cover Girl Pt. 2” Feat. Na’Tee & Allie
Okay, tha Allie gurl iz correctly ID’d here. Whoa, Na’Tee on tha feature! Let’s hear dis… >>> Okay, Na’Tee doin’ a nice job on this really smooth beat; good shit! Tha hook sounds pretty good, this time; glad you recruited Na’Tee! Damn, how come before Allie’s part, it sounds like a really long intermission? Anyway, glad she finally came up; she’s deliverin’ sexiness to tha fullest! My Rating: 4.0

18. “Playa For Life” Feat. Raw Dizzy
A.K.A. Dizzy a.k.a. Raw D.I., lol! Let’s hear what dis collab all about!! >>> Okay, we’re gettin’ betta wit tha songs all of a sudden; good hook. I like how tha beat sounds and what you bringin’ as far as attraction when it comes ta tha ladies. Sounds like an unexpected 1st verse from you; good content and outta-nowhere lyrics. Same thing wit tha 2nd verse; pretty good… Dizzy’s on tha 3rd verse, doin’ his thang (as always), keepin’ tha consistency up! My Rating: 3.9

19. “Tell You” (Link Feat. B Streezy)
LOL, a lil’ error on tha back cover: tha “Y” on your name iz in red, lol. >>> Tha hook sounds pretty sweet here; looks like you got anotha one on your hands. Pretty good 1st verse; good rappin’ and good song. Tha 2nd verse iz keepin’ it consistent, too. Tha 3rd verse came quickly and sounds pretty good, once again. My Rating: 4.0

20. “Get Loose” Feat. 6 Shot
An anthem? >>> Ooh, anotha anthem! This iz soundin’ pretty damn good; good hook! Tha beat’s definitely pretty nice for an R&B/club anthem and you got tha 1st verse on lock! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good, too. LOL @ 6 Shot comin’ through on tha 3rd verse, Juvenile style! My Rating: 4.1

21. Outro Feat. DJ Hektik
#21 not listed on tha back cover, lol? >>> LOL @ this beat in tha background! :rofl Good info, Hektik! My Rating: N/A

Overall: This turned out ta be a pretty good R&B mixtape. You actually scored a lil’ higher than some of tha reviewz I did within tha 72ish these past seven dayz!

Review #716: Joey Queans "Summer Sunshades (The Mixtape)"

Reviewed on 12.20.2010 (Review #716)

Anotha review!!! Dis my 8th one for today and it’s only tha 5 PM hour!!! Here goes my review for Joey Queans “Summer Sunshades (The Mixtape)! Too bad Winter’s tomorrow, smh. Start Time: 5:50 PM | End Time: 6:43 PM

01. “Welcome To Kenner City”
Shit yea! Let’s begin! >>> I heard dis beat before; how will you handle it? This sounds REAL NICE wit you just goin’ off on it!! CRAZY 1st verse here; REALLY goin’ off!!! Tha 2nd verse iz also REAL NICE!!! My Rating: 4.6

02. “Super Star” (Gunz Feat. Joey Queans)
LOL, you’re on tha feature? >>> Ooh, tha Robert Miles “Children” rhythm beat!! You sound pretty good on dis shit! Gunz (whoeva dat iz) creatin’ a catchy song here… Dis must be you on tha 2nd verse ‘cause of your guttaness! Good collab right chea! My Rating: 4.2

03. “Wuzzam” Feat. Tyger
>>> LOL, jammin’ beat here! Tha hook’s pretty tight wit tha “holla at a nigga, bitch” shit! Oh, it sounds even betta wit tha title part! Good shit on tha 1st verse; keepin’ dis thang consistent!! Tha 2nd verse iz also very consistent; these rhymes are DEFINITELY what’s up!!! My Rating: 4.5

04. “The Things You Do”
Alternative title called “Ruff About You” on tha mp3 info. I dunno what dis gon sound like… >>> This sounds nothin’ like anything I’d get excited about. I must say dat your rhymes are pretty interestin’—on a 21+ year-old level, which iz good. Too bad dis iz close ta four minutes long; a lil’ too long for a slow song? My Rating: 3.1

05. “Switch” (Tyger)
How will Tyger do solo? >>> Sounds like it gon be pretty hot. This iz a gurl, roarin’ like a tiger, lol! Cool wit tha consistency but tha flow sounds like Wayne so dat’s a lil’ bit of a minus… Did I hear a shout out ta “DJ Jubilee”? I hear somethin’-jubilee, lol. Regardless of it jackin’ any flow, it’s good fa what it iz; a jam iz a jam. My Rating: 3.7

06. “Let’s Go To Work” Feat. Tyger
Now, it’s a collaboration, lol… >>> Sounds pretty good; sounds like a trap anthem wit tha beat. Ooh, you’re soundin’ pretty nice wit tha “bag” shit in tha beginning of tha 1st verse! LOL, she’s keepin’ tha “trap” theme goin’ wit tha 2nd verse; good shit, Tyger! Back to you on tha 3rd verse, keepin’ tha flow catchy and tha rhymes goin’! My Rating: 4.0

07. “Baaaang” Feat. T-Man
LOL! >>> Tha beat iz cool here; you got a good ear fa beats, too! Tha hook sounds, like, a Chopper City-type hook; dumb shit! Tha hook’s DEFINITELY on a gangsta tip; gotta feel it! REALLY feelin’ tha attitude in tha 1st verse!! It’s all about showin’ dat TOUGH side!!! Tha 2nd verse also doin’ tha damn thang on dis shit right chea! ROFL @ all tha “fucks” in tha beginning of tha 3rd verse! This DEFINITELY iz official!! My Rating: 4.5

½time: GR8, 4.1-rated CD so far!! Let’s keep dis shit on ‘n’ poppin’ ‘cause you DEFINITELY got shit on lock!!

08. “Can’t Get Enuff” Feat. B.Streezy
>>> What’s this shit? Weird-ass-soundin’ hook… I don’t really have interest in this kinda shit. Tha “fall in love” part sounds like Brooke Hogan’s “Falling” song, which iz prolly tha only somewhat-interestin’ thing that caught my attention. My Rating: 2.4

09. “Whole Wad Of Cash”
Tha “W” iz missin’ in “hole”, lol… You really don’t want a “hole” in your “wad of cash”, lol? >>> This iz decent; back to tha good street anthems… Tha hook sounds cool; good shit… Nice job on tha verses, as you have a cool flow on dis shit. My Rating: 3.9

10. “Super Models”
How will dis one go? >>> Thought this would be a lil’ faster like 9th Ward’s “Supermodel” song from a few years ago. However, this shit sounds pretty good; it’s all about tha catchiness. I feel like dis could be a mainstream single or somethin’… My Rating: 3.8

11. “Good Love Hotline”
>>> My mind went to Sheek Louch “Good Love” but I didn’t wanna focus on jacked beats; it sounds worse wit this Trey Songz-soundin’ song… Clean version? I’m likin’ some of tha lyrics here, though… My Rating: 2.8

12. “Haters I’m Hea”
LOL @ tha “Hea”. If there was an “R” at tha end, it would be wrong so good thing it’s slang/cut-off! >>> What a beat start! Tha hook’s kinda stale fa me; not likin’ these pre-made hooks… Tha rhymes are pretty good… Some of it iz kinda typical but I guess that’s what happens when there are “haters” around, lol. I like dat “erase dat, we be deletin’” part. My Rating: 3.6

13. “Twit Pic” Feat. Tyger & J.C.
This looks hella gay; let’s see if I’m right. >>> Yea, pretty bad intro. Why tha anthematic, “My Hood”-rhythmic-type beat? This iz nothin’ ta be happy about! My Rating: 1.3

14. “I’ma Be The Man”
>>> Sounds pretty good for an ending song. Okay, tha hook’s soundin’ pretty cool now dat I’m hearin’ it fa tha 2nd time. Tha verses are pretty good, too… Sounds like, what was, a good, end-of-Summer-type song. My Rating: 4.0

Overall: You did a GR8 job in tha beginning. However, mostly all tha 2nd ½ was either decent or garbage for me. Anyway, keep dat gutta, street shit comin’!!

Rankings:

02. “Hustle 4 What I Want”
Looks good on tha title so you KNOW dis gon sound good too!! >>> Good start; you’re spicin’ up tha intro too!! Ooh, tha hook’s soundin’ REAL GOOD here wit tha “bubblin’”-type undaground beat from China Boy and tha catchy-ass hook!! STRICTLY for tha streetz and tha REAL Rap luverz of tha undaground!! Tha 1st verse’s gutta as hell too! Tha 2nd verse’s doin’ tha damn thang too wit how it sounds when you keep it consistent on tha mic! My Rating: 4.6

03. “Ball On ‘Em”
Oh no, a Drumma Boy beat? I dunno how anticipated I’ll be… >>> Well, of course, it’s pretty good for tha start here ‘cause it’s an undaground song. Tha hook sounds interestin’ and catchy; you always have a GR8 sound ta these tracks, ya dig! Tha 1st verse has like a typical rapper flow to it but it’s still good fa what it iz… Tha 2nd verse iz catchy also… A 3rd verse snuck inta this and it sounds good also… My Rating: 4.2

05. “Motor In Her Back”
Ooh, tha “Beats How U Want’m” dude Rodnae on tha beat! Let’s hear what you got here… >>> Good beat start; I like tha Bounce rhythm in it… Tha 1st verse sounds like you’re really focused fa a kinda joint like dis, lol! Tha hook sounds good; catchy title wit all this “motor” shit! Tha 2nd verse’s keepin’ it goin’ here; good job holdin’ dis catchy joint down! Let’s hear tha 3rd verse… Pretty good once again right chea… My Rating: 4.3

06. “Playa Playa”
You & KLC on tha beat here for Crack Alley Muzik? >>> I can hear tha KLC sound here, ya dig! Cool flow here and interestin’ luv ta tha “West Coast” too on tha 1st verse. Ooh, tha hook reminds me of some Early 2000’s Southern Rap shit when you can TELL it was a Southern song!! Tha 2nd verse sounds like you’re just REALLY goin’ off on this beat right chea wit your rappin’-ass, lol! Tha 3rd verse too has dat consistent vibe to it, ya dig! LOL @ tha unexpected mixin’ towards tha end! My Rating: 4.4

07. “Didn’t I Tell Ya”
China Boy doin’ tha beat here so I gon anticipate it since it had a gr8 sound to it when I heard it on tha end of tha last joint!! >>> Gutta-ass hook! You’re REALLY comin’ through for tha hoods REAL HARD on tha 1st verse!! DEFINITELY feelin’ a gutta-ass attitude!!! Tha 2nd verse ALSO’S comin’ through pretty gutta!! Too bad this iz kinda short… My Rating: 4.7

08. Fiend 4 Da Money Talk 3
Yea, anotha skit!!! >>> Ooh, you said, “bruh,” instantly in tha beginning; holdin’ it down!! My Rating: N/A

09. “Spotlight” Feat. Corner Boy P & Shawty Redd
Why does it say “Shawty Redd” on tha mp3 info? This iz familiar so I got ta hear it before on DJ 5150 & Dre’s latest mixtape… Tha beginning’s not bad but tha beat’s pretty gutta to tha bone!! DEFINITELY hot shit comin’ out tha 1st verse here for tha undaground!! Tha hook’s cool; “spotlight” shit… Tha 2nd verse sounds like a white dude, lol? Good rhymes but not much fa me ta say… Now, tha 3rd verse’s pretty good and fits wit dis joint; good shit! My Current Rating: 4.4

Yung Jizzo Da Underdawg’s on tha beat this time, reppin’ for Crack Alley Muzik! Let’s hear dis… >>> Beginning sounds anticipatin’… Ooh, ANOTHA REAL GUTTA track!!! Tha hook’s just TOOOO CRAZY!!! Tha 1st verse’s pretty strong too; VERY GOOD style from you!! GOIN’ OFF on tha 2nd verse too; dumb shit!!! My Rating: 4.7

11. “Knees Deep”
A Tony Galvin beat for Black Mob Group; let’s see how good this iz wit a title like dis… >>> YEA!! This mixtape’s CONSISTENT TO THA BONE when it comes ta just YOU holdin’ thangz down!! Tha hook’s grimy and tha title’s catchy as fuck wit tha “knees way deep in tha swamp” shit!! Lots of exposure to your life in tha 1st verse as you “saw” a lotta shit! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ pretty strong too; tha gutta sounds of dat boy Fiend!! Tha 3rd verse sounds like it came through pretty quick and NICE fa what you had ta offer on dis joint!! My Rating: 4.6

½time: Wow, this mixtape’s REAL, REAL HOT, ya dig!!! Keep this REAL, REAL GR8 shit comin’, ya dig!! Tha average CD rating’s at a NICE 4.5 right now!!!

12. “Stay Alive”
This time, it’s Lil’ Ogi for Crack Alley Muzik on tha production; let’s see how dis goes… >>> Still sounds pretty good… Tha hook’s aight for tha singin’… Damn, I ain’t realize this joint’s 6.5 minutes long? Damn… I don’t think I’ll be able ta handle it… Tha 2nd verse has a lotta shit goin’ on here; you do have so much to offer… Tha 3rd verse has more interestin’ shit wit a good flow; thumbs up. Long hook repeatin’ towards tha end… My Rating: 3.9

13. “Fuck Dey Hatin’”
Yea, a China Boy beat! Let’s see what’s poppin’! >>> Sounds like a HOT anthem here wit tha attitude on tha hook!! Ooh, clappin’ in tha hook too; good-ass shit!! Tha 1st verse has gutta-ass street rhymes bein’ spit; you’re just INSANE wit dis shit, ya dig!! DEFINITELY some mo hot-ass rhymes comin’ outta tha 2nd verse here; you’re REALLY holdin’ it down!! Ooh, a feature this time! Odds N Ends on tha beat here so let’s see how GR8 dis collab gon be!! >>> Took a while ta start (due to tha mixin’ in tha beginning) but it sounds pretty hot here!! I dunno how much more I can say here ‘cause all these songs are REALLY consistent and just TOO HOT!!! Tha hook’s just more on tha gutta tip and tha 1st verse’s soundin’ pretty good wit all these HOT-ASS lyrics!!! Tha 2nd verse sounds like it’s offerin’ some mo hot-ass gutta/street lyrics!! My Rating: 4.5

15. “Suburbs” Feat. Corner Boy P
Accordin’ to tha songs’ order that I got this from, tha “Fiend 4 Da Money Talk 4” talk break ain’t up now; it’s tha “Suburbs” song produced by Don Juan for Full Pack Music. Let’s see how GR8 dis iz!! >>> Tha beat’s cool and it sounds like it gon be a gr8 collab wit Corner Boy P! I was thinkin’ dat tha 2nd verse was just aight but tha flow just keeps this shit REALLY interestin’… Tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ good wit tha content… Also, tha attitude hidden inside tha verse’s soundin’ good too! My Rating: 4.2

16. “Living My Life”
Rodnae’s on this beat; how will it sound? >>> Pretty good; I hear his beat style in tha hook so you KNOW this iz startin’ ta become catchy! I really like how you sound on tha hook here; VERY good shit!! This WHOLE CD’s VERY consistent!!! Tha 1st verse’s gutta; str8 gutta from you AS ALWAYZ!!! You’re just STILL goin’ STRONG!!! My Rating: 4.6

18. “Gangsta Muzik” Feat. Lil’ Wayne
Damn, I thought dat was Lil’ Weavah on tha feature but it’s not… Anotha beat by you so at least it should be good… >>> Kinda fake on tha feature ‘cause it’s just a sample but this iz soundin’ real hot wit tha sample and tha beat!! Tha 1st verse’s pretty strong wit how you comin’ through wit deliverin’ tha GR8-ASS street lyrics!!! LOL, Lil’ Wayne really on tha feature here? He sounds like 2003/2004 Wayne wit tha voice (which were CLASSIC times)…; pretty good verse though… Wayne’s also on tha 3rd verse here and he’s doin’ his thang once again… You’re on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse here and it’s DEFINITELY poppin’ when you add dat GR8 attitude to tha track!! My Rating: 4.4

19. Fiend 4 Da Money Talk 4
Now, let’s hear tha talk break… >>> You sound GR8 once again!! “Put ‘em on my new shit, like rice do!” My Rating: N/A

20. “Pusha Man” Feat. Gucci Mane & Shawty Redd
Shawt = Shawty Redd? I’m still confused… Anyway, not sure what I’ll think of this; even Shawty Redd’s on tha beat… >>> Sounds like some non-Louisiana, undaground Rap shit (like somethin’ from Florida); tha hook’s cool… I like dat “gizzone!” Tha 1st verse sounds good wit how tha verse iz delivered once again; keep it comin’!! LOL, a Gucci Mane 2nd verse? Not really anything I need ta say… Shawty Redd on tha 3rd verse? Let’s see… It’s only okay for me but it sounds betta towards tha end wit tha “order.” My Rating: 4.1

21. “Millionz” Feat. Shawty Redd
More of him and him on tha beat too… >>> Kinda mainstream-soundin’ for a start here but it’s hot on tha hook… Tha 1st verse’s okay… Tha flow’s still keepin’ this shit hot though! Tha 2nd verse sounds betta here wit tha gutta attitude, ya dig!! LOL @ this joint bein’ only 2:15… My Rating: 4.0

22. “I Want It”
You’re on tha beat here again; let’s see what’s up… >>> Tryna scare people wit an “it’s alive!!” beginning, lol? Tha hook’s real catchy here for “wantin’ tha pussy!” Tha 1st verse sounds like a cool-type when it comes ta tha vibe here in how tha lyrics are delivered… Tha 2nd verse’s aight… Tha hook almost has like a Young Bleed sound to it in tha way you deliver it; wanted ta point dat out! Only two verses here, lol? My Rating: 4.2

23. Outro
Let’s hear what you got ta say… >>> LOL, catchy. Although it’s just an “outro,” I liked tha skits betta. My Rating: N/A

Overall: Damn, you REALLY ripped dis bitch ta pieces!!! REAL NICE job, Fiend!!! Keep doin’ tha damn thang, ya dig!!
