Review #1,592: ChaYsuh "High Definition"

Reviewed on 11.09.2016 (Review #1,592)

Got a review comin’ up right now from ChaYsuh High Definition! Let’s see how he HDin’ it with this new one… Grindstarz Entertainment in tha buildin’! Start Time: 2:45 PM | End Time: 3:40 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. Intro
>>> Stuck in presidential shit, non-stop… My Rating: N/A

02. “Problem With Me” feat. Fletch
Fletch = J Fletcha? Just takin’ a guess… >>> Beat sounds like it goes hard and iz pretty nice… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice, deliverin’ tha rhymes to tha table! Well, looks like I was correct about tha feature! Here comes Fletcha on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit consistent rhymes, like time neva left our connection! Tha lil’ outro before tha final hook sounds like Ziggy Wiggly, here, only a lil’ calmer… My Rating: 4.3

03. “Clash Of The Titans” feat. TaylorJay & FaM
Ain’t it “Titans” instead of “Titians”? >>> Kickin’ it off wit Taylor on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some nice shit ova this decent beat… Here you come through on tha 2nd verse, makin’ it sound like strong anthems when you drop tha rhymes… Tha beats sound decent/good but sound like they go hard when you drop tha rhymes on ‘em… And, we got FaM on tha 3rd verse, just droppin’ rhymes like nothin’ goin’ wrong…; nice… My Rating: 3.8

04. “Pop It Off” feat. Mf P
Here’s tha track I know!! Previously had said, exactly 100 reviewz ago:

“Yeah, this sounds like what I got a sample of… Tha beat almost sounds like it could have a touch of dubstep or somethin’ in it… Definitely feelin’ what we got goin’ on from ChaYs on tha 1st verse, here! And, tha hook’s definitely on-n-poppin’ fa a “smoke/drank”-type hook! Good shit from someone tha exact same age as me, lol! That MF P dude sounds nice on tha 2nd verse; good shit! …Keepin’ it goin’ wit ChaYs on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit even more catchiness; can’t deny it! Just luvin’ tha production, here! Nice fade-out, too, lol…” My Current Rating: 4.5

05. Fuck Ya (Skit)
! >>> Sounds like a nice lil’ intro/skit fa tha “Fuck Ya” song that finna come up… I like how there’s a fake vibe comin’ through this, like, it sux when people say they got “ya” back and then, they don’t. When I got peoples’ back, they know! Doe-Doe!! You know!! My Rating: N/A

06. “Fuck Ya” feat. Terrabull Tef
>>> Beat sounds nice and you sound good on tha 1st verse, holdin’ shit down… Tha hook sounds nice with this aggression/anthemic sound; great with tha female! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and this must be this Terrabull? First time I’m hearin’ and it sounds like one of those cool rappers from tha early 2000’s that you hear for tha 1st time! Nice 1st impression from me! “Fuck yeah! Fuck yeah!” And, you got tha 3rd verse on lock, too, ChaYs! Nice beat ending, too! My Rating: 4.2

07. “Everytime” feat. Grind, Wess Cypher & Big Al
>>> Beat ain’t too bad, here; a lil’ less anthemic than tha previous ones… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you comin’ through from tha come-up, here… Tha hook ehh; sounds like voices from today’s bullshit music… Tha 2nd verse ain’t bad from Grind, here; regular rappin’ ta hold it down… Keepin’ it goin’ with tha 3rd verse, here; Big Al spittin’ some regular-soundin’ rhymes, too… My Rating: 3.7

08. Hey (Skit)
>>> Of course, they wouldn’t answer; tha usual! My Rating: N/A

09. “She Fine” feat. Ice
>>> Beat sounds nice, here, as you’re holdin’ down tha hook about their “fine”-ass… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds pretty nice; what else can I say? Here comes tha 2nd verse from Ice, some dude from six years ago that I only heard one CD from… He sounds pretty catchy on this shit, partyin’ like it’s nothin’, of course! My Rating: 4.0

10. The Simp (Skit)
Skits! Yeah! >>> Mane, FUCK bein’ “busy!” Wanna just slap tha SHIT outta those that say they’re “busy,” like, BUSIER THAN ME?!? NEVER!!! I work six dayz a week under a lotta stress, do a shit-ton of reviewz, have a shit-ton of video countdowns to do & I be goin’ out on a daily basis, sometimes! My Rating: N/A

½time: A 4.1-rated CD, currently. You doin’ ya shit, as always, with these tracks… Gotta keep tha energy, partyin’ & aggression comin’ along!!

11. “I Taught Her”
>>> Beat ain’t too bad, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds good wit how you settin’ tha mood fa this bitch. Hearin’ tha hook and it’s cool with tha beat sounds, at times… Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, too, as you’re holdin’ it down, once again… Tha 3rd verse sounds good, too; what else can I say? My Rating: 3.7

12. “Looking For It” feat. Mf P
>>> Likin’ tha creepy beat start, here, as it kinda scares me fa tha next work day, smh… Sounds like it has nice bass, here; good hook, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Mf P and it sounds good ta rap to… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and you holdin’ shit down, of course! Luv how tha beat keeps goin’, quieter and quieter… My Rating: 4.1

13. “Drop It Low” feat. T. Tyrant
>>> This beat sounds like a lil’ more of an alive version of tha previous track on here… Hearin’ T Tyrant on tha hook and it sounds nice; luv how he delivers…! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ good, depictin’ tha “horny” style… Tha 2nd verse from you sounds nice ta hear, too, as y’all both settin’ tha “horny” mood, here… My Rating: 4.0

14. “EasY”
Capital “Y”, here… >>> I like how this beat sounds; a lil’ Egyptian-like, at times? Dope! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit how you come through wit these rhymes on this beat… Tha hook sounds pretty nice. Just know that this Louisiana shit ain’t “easY” fa me. I know you ain’t really pay too much attention to why I had to go away and get a job (DJ B-Real), but it’s in that magazine articlethat Mass Appeal Records did on me. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and this nice, too; glad you keepin’ it goin’! So, this was before June 21, 2016, since you were “27,” here? I remember bein’ 27, too, before June 21, 2016, lol… And, anotha verse fa this—nope? My Rating: 4.3

15. Confused (Skit)
>>> Tha bitch “confused!” My Rating: N/A

16. “Dirty Little Secret” feat. A.M. & Mimi
>>> Beat ain’t too bad, here; betta than usual ones… Hearin’ tha hook and this chick sounds catchy… And, you holdin’ it down wit ya “dick” on tha 1st verse, here, not bein’ defeatable! Keepin’ it goin’ with tha 2nd verse, here; decent singin’… My Rating: 3.6

17. “Next To Me” feat. Kenneth Faure
>>> A nice lil’ slow vibe, here, with you spittin’ some good shit on tha 1st verse… Lots of songs fa tha ladies, here… I’m likin’ how tha singer sounds on tha hook; nice job, Ken! And, tha 2nd verse from you ain’t too bad, here… My Rating: 3.7

18. I’m Not Her (Skit)
>>> Tha wrong one! My Rating: N/A

19. “Scared To Love” feat. A.M.
>>> Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad with this decent, laidback beat… Hearin’ tha hook and it cool… I know there’s quite tha amount of female tracks on here, but at least they ain’t wack… And, you puttin’ it down fa tha 2nd verse, too… Kinda long, here, but ehh, it’s aight… My Rating: 3.5

20. “What We Live For” feat. Ben Jewell
>>> Beat sounds cool, like a throwback vibe with a trash can-like sound! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ like it can be a kick-ass song! Interestin’ beat sounds at :49, too, in tha background! Tha hook sounds cool; don’t need much ta make it a cool hook! And, you sound good puttin’ it down on tha 2nd verse, here… Beat continues ta be interesting with tha 3rd verse, here; great job, ChaY! My Rating: 4.4

Overall: Even tho a 4.0-rated CD, I thought it wasn’t too bad… Mostly above tha decent level, you had all tracks that weren’t wack, so your score couldn’t sink… Keep doin’ ya thang; I can’t say much else…

01. “Welcome To The Statement”
>>> Tha volume ain’t that loud, here? Anyway, sounds good and tha beat iz aight… Good “smokin’ on a lotta weed” part; who tha hell are you? How do you do all dat without me hearin’ your music? Tha rest of this shit sounds pretty catchy; really feelin’ tha street shit. My Rating: 4.1

02. “Down Here” Feat. Young Ready
LOL, where’d this collaboration come from? Who are you? >>> I like tha beat start; definitely catchy. Tha content and quality iz pretty nice on tha hook, too; really feelin’ what you be bringin’ to tha table! Even tha collaboration sounds nice; lol @ ‘holdin’’ someone down “doin’ five” outta nowhere! Good shit you got on tha 3rd verse, too… My Rating: 4.5

03. “Same Hustle”
>>> What’s up wit tha weird production? Feelin’ tha beginning lyrics of puttin’ a picture in your head. Tha rhymes are really consistent but I wish this beat was not an East Coast-soundin’ one; tha hook sounds pretty-good… My Rating: 4.0

04. “Hate On Me” Feat. Sabor & Briel
Wonder who these people are…? >>> Anotha semi-weak beat for me and I hear scary background vocals, too. Tha rhymes from you are good; tha hook’s a lil’ scary but at least it’s a female and not a dude. Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty catchy; very consistent wit tha rhymes! Tha 3rd verse ain’t too bad, either… My Rating: 3.6

05. “I’m The Boy” Feat. Level, Taylor & Lil’ One The Champ
Looks like a pretty-good collab… >>> “T-Motor” beat? Lil’ One’s on tha hook and it sounds pretty good… You’re on tha 1st verse and it sounds pretty good on this beat, too. Ooh, here comes Level on tha 2nd verse; family-related collaborations (between labels and other collaborators)? ROFL, he always raps about tha same shit. “Even tha draws got tha logo;” okay, boxers; that’s a step in a different direction, lol. LOL @ this cockiness… Taylor (Jay?) on tha 3rd verse, soundin’ good… My Rating: 4.3

06. “Tonight” Feat. Tre Virdure
Forgot tha “R” in Tre’s name on tha feature? >>> Not really my style, here, but it’s not tha worst… My Rating: 3.4

07. “Grind Time” Feat. Crucial
No more “Young” in Crucial’s name? What happened to it? Anyway, you know I’m lookin’ forward ta dis! >>> Again, prolly could’ve expected betta wit tha beat but, at least, this collaboration’s gonna anticipate me, still! You doin’ ya thang on dis one and tha hook… Crucial’s on tha 2nd verse and a definite plus fa havin’ him; very consistent wit these tight-ass rhymes and consistent shit he spittin’ ‘bout himself!! :tu LOL, you comin’ through on tha 3rd verse wit some real shit, too. My Rating: 4.2

08. “Girbauds” Feat. Jimi Jump
Definitely a high anticipation level fa dis one!!! >>> Even tha beat start has a hot sound; dun-dun-Gir-bauds <- auds="" bout="" gon="" here="" i="" it="" like="" really="" s="" sound="" spittin="" style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;" tha="" that="" think="" what="" you="">know
I fuckin’ luv “Girbauds” to tha fullest!!! I’m hearin’ tha hook and it sounds different than tha delivery I predicted; real hot shit!!!!! Definitely classic!! Gotta play dis on my radio show and wear “Girbauds”, lol! LOL, let’s hear what Jimi got ta say afta your nice 2nd verse… More on tha ‘smokin’’ tip, lol; he doin’ his thang wit you, here! LOL, even him wit tha “boxers” line about “Polo” too, lol? “Starin’ at my penis;” lots of crazy, random shit comin’ out his mouth wit a joint ‘bout “Girbauds”, lol! My Rating: 4.9

½time: Soundin’ good fa you bein’ unknown ta me! A 4.1-rated CD, currently; keep tha bangers and collaborations comin’ along!!

09. “You Don’t Know” Feat. A-One (Wissel)
>>> Damn @ this beat; and Wissel’s on dis? Dis’ll prolly suck; he’ll prolly spit some stupid, typical-type shit ‘bout girls or some boring shit like dat. :td You sound like someone else on this joint… Damn, I knew it; Wissel sucks wit dis 2nd verse! From tha beginning, nothin’ but boring, typical rhymes about gurls and ‘non-existin’’ shit he’s sayin’ (“textin’”); he doesn’t text like dat, smh! Overall, more distracted and annoyed wit dis; at least you were normal wit dis. Oh yea, no comment on tha boring hook. My Rating: 2.5

10. “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” Feat. Lil’ Mista
Let’s hear dis anticipatin’ joint! >>> Mod Productions doin’ tha beat and it’s soundin’ regular—good enough ta have you and Mista on it. Tha hook sounds catchy; you know what it iz… Some of tha beat sounds like sounds from Bobby Beams “Yesterday”? Nice job wit how you comin’ through on dis track but it’s all about Mista, doin’ tha damn thang, here! My Rating: 4.3

11. “Pocket Full Of Paper” Feat. Hey Daem
“Hey Daem”? Thought his name was just “Daem”? >>> At least your rhymes keep dis a lil’ interestin’; gettin’ tired of some of these decent/below-average beats. Tha hook sounds nice, of course; what more could you ask wit “paper”? Tha rest of dis iz still good… My Rating: 3.8

12. “Product Of The Ghetto”
>>> A lil’ long fa tha start but now dat I hear tha hook, I’m likin’ dis, in a way. Good rhymes you spittin’ on this track… My Rating: 3.8

13. “Pop It For Me”
Just you on dis? >>> Tha production’s a lil’ betta… Tha rhymes are soundin’ a lil’ betta, here, too. Why do people keep thinkin’ everyone ‘pops pills’? :confused Even though I liked it betta for a start, I lost interest outta nowhere… My Rating: 3.8

14. “Time For The Kill”
>>> I think it’s time for a feature; too many of these just-you songs in a row are gettin’ kinda boring… Tha hook sounds more interestin’ wit dis “kill” shit in “time”. My Rating: 3.6

15. “Down Here (Remix)” Feat. Lil’ One The Champ
Finally, a feature, but why a remix to a former Young Ready collab? >>> Still sounds good but I rather hear Young Ready, since One’s aight… My Rating: 4.3

16. “Survivor”
>>> Scary ending; why? Not bad wit tha rappin’ and tha song, overall, ain’t too bad, either. You have a good mind when it comes ta motivation. My Rating: 2.8

Overall: Even though a lot of tha production wasn’t my type, I think I liked this CD, overall, mainly thanx to tha collaborations. I have ta say, to you and F.O.C.U.S. Entertainment, keep doin’ ya thang!

Rankings:

16.       “You Don’t Know” Feat. A-One (Wissel) 2.5

13.       “Time For The Kill” 3.6
