Review #1,805: Level "Deal Or No Deal 2"

Reviewed on 6.30.2019 (Review #1,805)

Squishin’ a bunch of shit in my schedule for tha end of tha month (half-end of tha year). Almost ready ta shake back fa tha 2nd ½ of 2019, as it’s been a struggle, so far… Luckily, we have some good, upbeat music I finna review! Courtesy of Mayham Entertainment, here goes my review for Level Deal Or No Deal 2, tha sequel to his 2011 Deal Or No Deal mixtape! L-to-tha-E-to-tha-V-to-tha-E-to-tha-L!! Start Time: 8:23 AM | End Time: 9:29 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2019 CD Review (Review #1,805) reviewed on 6.30.2019 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Deal Or No Deal 2” feat. DJ Supa Mike
Mike on da feature…; hmm… >>> Hyped-up intro; likin’ how you comin’ through in tha beginning, too! “Deal Or No Deal; I’mma still keep it real!” Even tho tha typical “money” shit throughout tha beginning of tha 1st verse, I’m likin’ your “Chuck E. Cheese” reference, fa some reason. Definitely likin’ how you build your aggression, throughout tha verse! Great job, overall; deliverin’ tha aggressive party rhymes, at they finest! My Rating: 4.0

02. “Don’t Do Dat”
You been ‘bout tha “Dat” titles; keep ‘em comin’! #02 on tha 1st Deal Or No Deal was “Hit Dat” and now, here we are with anotha “Dat”! >>> Sounds like a less-hyped beat, as far as tha energy but I’m diggin’ your repetitive hook, here. Bass-boomin’ 1st verse, here, comin’ through, “Still rollin’ like windmills!” We gotta link up tha next time I go to BR! You, me & B-Real need ta roll a jigga! Frfr!! Good shit wit how you come through on tha 1st verse, Lev! Likin’ how tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd hook has added sounds to tha beat; hot shit! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it str8. Sometimes, you gotta throw in tha “money” shit just to fill tha lines up; it iz what it iz, I guess? More added sounds for a full hook, on tha 3rd hook! Nice! Changed up, too, on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd hook! Glad you keepin’ tha interest in me up, as you tryna keep these people on they toes! My Rating: 4.3

03. “Feet Work”
Tha song you pushin’, right nah… >>> Sounds like tha classic-soundin’ BR production; good shit! Yeah, you got tha “Feet”-related titles on lock! Gotta keep ‘em movin’! Good, catchy shit to get da energy flowin’ on these lazybeez! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s definitely jammin’; can’t deny it! Good shit; keep tha energetic vibes comin’! Gotta luv Louisiana, of course! I’m 12 ½ years in, now! Luv tha continuous energy comin’ outta tha 2nd verse; can’t deny it! Why would someone deny it? Tha “Js” and “shades” references remind me of YaBoiBeezy and his 2011 “Good” track (“I got them shades on, I got them Js on…”); dope shit! My Rating: 4.7

04. “Stomped Out” feat. DJ B-Real
Tha song I’m tryna push, as I have a #StompedOutChallenge commercial series comin’ July 14th! That’s right! I been pushin’ B-Real with his Southern Tea Awards nomination by releasing 41 commercials to vote for him (including today, I have 14 commercials remaining for tha #Vote4BrealChallenge series). For this new challenge, I got 71 new commercials comin’ till September 22nd, right b4 tha fall starts! Now, as far as tha song’s review goes… >>> Luv how you feelin’ “tha one right here” vibe wit B-Real on tha beat! If “Feet Work” didn’t have enough energy, here comes this, right after! Definitely dope wit what y’all come up with, on tha hook! Luv how B-Real goes, “Uh huh…; uh huh…!” Then, just says, “Stomped out, stomped out…” That’s all he needs to make me luv this, to tha fullest! He just has to let his voice breathe on tha track! Frfr!! As far as what you got goin’ on throughout tha 1st verse, talk about energy!! You neva let it down since I first heard you, back on February 16, 2008 (same day I first heard B-Real, too)! Untouchable, Level!! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and you got shit goin’ on, once again! “My name Level, so it’s always on that level wit me;” great reference to your name! I ain’t gon lie, it’s a **PERFECT-RATED** track from me; can’t deny it! My Rating: 5.0

05. “I Shoulda Never” feat. S-8ighty
>>> Had a feelin’ this was gonna be a lil’ iffy fa me, for a start, here… Well, it’s more on tha slower tip, as we burned so much energy off da last two tracks! Hearin’ tha hook from S-8ighty and it’s aight; why tha “straight up” adlibs, like Trav Scott? Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you make this sound better, as tha beat sounds better with tha sounds… S-8 spittin’ a verse for tha 2nd verse, here… “Creepin’” in tha “DMs,” huh? I like it/stereotype it best with Zack Martino slippin’ into DYSON’s “DMs” for their “Mood” collab! Movin’ on, it was an aight verse; I’ll give it its props, regardless… My Rating: 3.8

06. “This Way” feat. Ms. Tee
N’awlinzin’ it up! >>> Didn’t catch tha producer you shouted in tha beginning, here, but it’s on tha N’awlinz tip, fa tha production! More energy, here; nice job wit tha hook, Level! Non-stop deliverin’ wit tha energetic vibes throughout tha 1st verse, here; good shit! Err-body gon be twerkin’ all summer ’19! Good to see Tee on tha 2nd verse, here, deliverin’ great rhymes fa this twerk session! Let Lexy Panterra join in, too; my gurl! No wack shit from da female here! Of course! Likin’ Tee’s “wobbly” and “twerk” shit before tha final hook, too! Go, girl! My Rating: 4.6

07. “Give No Fucks”
>>> Continuously linkin’ up wit Q-Red for tha productions, throughout your career; dope! Definitely likin’ tha beginning production and wit tha hook, I didn’t expect a Future sample. I’m likin’ it, tho, as it’s not too often you hear a hook wit just a sample in it, these dayz. Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you got tha energy on lock, of course! Though I don’t fuck wit tha “money” rhymes, you seem to catch my attention wit tha references (this time, “exercise”). Likin’ those lil’ interludes wit tha Q-Red beat sounds before each verse! Great idea, Q-Riggity-Riggity-Red, lol! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice wit your aggression! Gotta not “give” tha “fucks,” especially since we both 31! My Rating: 4.4

08. “24-7” feat. Big Poppa & BBE AJ
>>> Gives me a Trill Ent./Mouse-type vibe; likin’ this vibe! Good lil’ hook, even tho tha voice sounds more computerized than Louisianaized? Big Pop? Yeah, his voice a lil’ too altered to where I couldn’t recognize it was him, at first. Either way, his semi-corny, but energetic rhymes are decent for tha 1st verse, here. Here you are, on tha 2nd verse; glad you don’t have a computerized voice! Can’t deny tha energy; keep it comin’! Let’s hear what this AJ dude got, on tha 3rd verse… Sounds like a newer generation of DJ B-Real, wit how he sounds; anticipated for future appearances? Great energy; makes me anticipate tha next BR trip! Gotta catch you at a concert, Level! My Rating: 4.1

½time: Luvin’ tha energy and how you continuously bring it to tha table, Level! Neva give up on it! You’ll neva get old! Currently, a 4.4-rated CD! Great features, excellent production & you know what it takes to make me give props & review, Level!

09. “Quarterback” feat. J Buc & Mouse On Tha Track
Leggo! >>> Likin’ that this sounds like a cartoon, in tha beginning! J Buc on tha beat; definitely nice! Good lil’ hook; different kinda energy from tha continuous, top-notch energy on this CD! This has more of an addictive type of energy! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and this shit’s nice; you & Buc always have good chemistry, from earlier in tha decade to tha “Ms. Parker” shit (2016)! Dope shit! Glad y’all got anotha one, here! Now, here’s some1 I wanna link up with, tha next time I’m in BR: Mouse! Here he iz on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit his catchiness, as always! Can’t deny tha Mouse! Hope he neva ages! We #80sBabiesInOur30s, so you know we’ll always be in this! Him and B-Real are only 23 dayz apart from each other, fa those who ain’t know! My Rating: 4.5
EDIT: Didn’t catch J Buc’s hidden voice on this!

10. “G-Shit” feat. Spitta & Box
Shout out to Box, as I met him at tha DJ’s Club Elite club, in BR, on February 27th, earlier this year (Pic #06 in link)! >>> This sounds nice; this a better version of tha less-hyped vibe (“Don’t Do Dat”); likin’ this beat and tha repetitive “G-Shit” hook! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 1st verse, Level, comin’ through wit your energetic shit fa tha streets! This tha shit we need! Not that typical-soundin’ shit err-body tryna be on, where it don’t even sound like Louisiana. Last night, I was watchin’ BET Jams’ Mixtape Playlist playlist and within tha 1st 20 minutes, three rappers had a money reference in they name! I’m like, damn, tha world gettin’ sad, ain’t it? Then again, there’s always peeps like you & err-body you have featured on your CD in Baton Rouge/Louisiana to bring life to tha shitty rap world we livin’ in, today! Now, we got Spit on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit tha tightness, as always! “I spit out tha box, on anotha level, I must admit! Spitta, Box & Level…;” of course, he knew to put you, Box & himself all in two bars! Pure tightness; don’t get no betta than tha #80sBabiesInOur30s shit! Outside of tha ‘80s babies, here comes Box, who was six months & two weeks shy of bein’ an ‘80s baby. Either way, for his age, he got it at all times! He got good quality for tha streets, clubs, whateva; glad he fit in well, still! My Rating: 4.4

11. “Represent”
>>> Anotha nice beat; luvin’ tha energy, once again! Good hook, Level; you know what it iz! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you can’t deny tha energy, of course! Tha producers know what it iz witchu and you know what it iz wit deliverin’ fa them! Oh, I’m luvin’ how you put tha area codes together wit tha math! See, bein’ autistic, I luv shit like dat! Been like dat since a youngin! Like, pureness: “220 + 5 & whataya get? You get a Baton Rouge nigga… 504 & whataya get? … 318 & whataya get? … 337 & whataya get?” Dumb shit!! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice! Lol, non-Louisiana area codes on tha 2nd verse’s math! You got a “3rd verse” comin’ through, too; let’s see what kinda math gon come outta this (Korea, Canada, Puerto Rico, lol?)… Well, this was just a quick verse; not bad… My Rating: 4.5

12. “I Love It” feat. Tay Raww
>>> Sounds more simple than tha hyped-up anthems from this CD… This more on a mainstream tip, fa me; a lil’ too simple wit tha hook… I’ono if I’ll “love it,” so we’ll see what y’all gon bring… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s aight; I rather your twerk-soundin’ anthems than this regular-paced sex shit. I will admit, tho, that sometimes, tha production takes me back to a Hypnotized Mindz vibe, for some reason. Not that “I love it” like those, tho… So, we got Tay on tha 2nd verse and she ain’t bad wit her rhymes; I like that she’s fast… Lol, random: “I eat yogurt;” let’s just insert somethin’, I guess? Damn, she hit tha auto-tune! I rather her “eat” tha “yogurt!” My Rating: 3.6

13. “Make It Pop”
>>> Caught me off-guard wit tha energy in tha beat; nice! Feelin’ tha hook; can’t deny energy, of course! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s your typical, energetic vibe; I’ll call it a “Level anthem!” Tha tracks that have your energy & quality are considered a “Level anthem;” you got tons of those! A 2nd verse? Sounds more like tha hook just continued off and neva stopped. It’s like it went in its own lane but it’s still nice… My Rating: 4.4

14. “FAN” feat. Tweeday
>>> Likin’ tha crowd & tha beat, in tha beginning, here; good shit! Thought this was just a “fan” for tha title, but it’s an acronym for “fuck a nigga.” I’ll capitalize it, then… Feelin’ your energy & vibes, throughout tha hook! Tweeday has come a long way since tha MySpace dayz and he here iz, deliverin’ tha street/club vibes of tha 2nd verse! Good shit; keep tha high energy comin’! Got a 3rd verse from you, here, comin’ through wit tha heat, continuously; good shit! My Rating: 4.4

15. “Dem Lips” feat. Foxx & IL Duce
Lol, what iTunes know about capitalizin’ tha “L” in “IL Duce”? Nothin’! Only #80sBabiesInOur30s people like us know! Boy, I fuckin’ wanna link up wit Foxx, next time I’m in BR! >>> Pretty nice beat, here; almost sounds like a throwback club banga, but not with tons of energy… Good job wit tha hook, but I’m luvin’ when Foxx appears on tha hook! He know what it do wit “lips;” frfr, lol! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you know what it iz wit these chicks! Wonder how many ladies you’ve slept with, durin’ your lifetime? Now, we got Foxx on tha 2nd verse and yeah, he a “dawg!” “Great dane!” Yeah, Foxx! “Jiggaz & trainz;” luv that “Jigga Train”! Makes me think of bein’ in BR, on June 23, 2017! I was in da club & it was a nice night! I went off to da “Jigga Train”! Wit dat bein’ said, nice job, Foxx; neva age, either! Keepin’ it goin’ wit anotha ‘80s baby, IL Duce, on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit his female-appreciated club rhymes; good shit! Glad he still got it goin’ on! I’m sure I’ll link wit him in BR, in tha future, too. My Rating: 4.4

16. “Get It Tonite” feat. Britton Satcher
>>> More on tha slow, R&B vibe, wit this hook and slow beat… I know tha CD’s endin’ and this more of an ending vibe but it’s icky fa me… Let’s see how much you can save it wit your rappin’… Good rhymes comin’ from you on tha 1st verse, here. I’ono, but it’s remindin’ me of a faster-soundin’ Lil’ Nas X; why am I thinkin’ a country theme, outta nowhere? Level and tha “nine inches,” huh? What a max level fa these bitches, ya heard me? Biggest single digit: a “9!” Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and Britton’s comin’ through wit his singin’… Can’t really vibe off it; not really me, here. Sounds too slow to be qualified for a five-star-rated CD, fa me (already, two tracks disqualified tha five-star-rated CD certification), here. My Rating: 2.5

17. “Need To Change” feat. Adrian Bagher
This one wouldn’t convert to mp3 on my iTunes (message: “Error occurred while converting the file “Need to Change (feat. Adrian Bagher)”. An unknown error occurred (-42017).” Funny that tha error # has “420” in it, lol! As far as preparin’ myself for this track, I’ono… Now, iTunes won’t let me play tha file. Luckily, it’s on YouTube; lemme hear on there… >>> Not really my kinda track, for a start, but tha sample in tha beginning gives me a lil’ anticipation… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds okay wit what you rappin’ ‘bout. Sounds like one of those depressing ending songs; not my favorite but I’ll see what else happens, here. Sounds a lil’ betta when A chimes in with tha title part, on tha hook… Hearin’ A on tha 2nd verse and his singin’ ain’t bad, here; sounds betta than tha other singin’ peeps on here. I like what you spit, right afta A. With “life” bein’ hard and all dat, just gotta look at da positives. I’m goin’ through my hard times, right nah but I keep lookin’ at tha positive future I have, with my talents! Why you think I’m doin’ a commercial every day? Gotta show my generation what consistency & strong work ethics be ‘bout! My Rating: 3.2

Overall: Other than a few tracks, you brought tons of energy to tha plate, here! Talk about winnin’ all tha deals, even tho, statistically, it looks like I gave tha previous Deal Or No Deal a higher score. Either way, this definitely betta than most of tha shit comin’ out, these dayz! I’m a lil’ standoffish to take a breath for some of these new cats & their CDs that never come to me (let alone, if they come, it’s never within tha 1st week it comes out, smh)! Keep up tha great work, L-to-tha-E-to-tha-V-to-tha-E-to-tha-L!

Review #1,722: "Go Tuff" Mixtape

Reviewed on 5.09.2017 (Review #1,722)

Been a lil’ minute since I did some reviewz… Got thrown off with Zoe Realla’s death, as I did a tribute video for him and then, just got caught up in tha 50-hour work week… But, here I am, finna review this mixtape I bought at Sundown. It’s a random compilation and I took a pic of tha tracklist… Here goes my review for tha Go Tuff mixtape… Start Time: 6:11 PM | End Time: 7:15 PM

If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. Maintain x MFWeeThang “My Section”
This tha official 1st time I’m hearin’ Jungle Muzik Mafia’s WeeThang after meetin’ him, back on March 28, 2017! >>> Instant start, here; can’t imagine how I gon feel about all these tracks… I betcha this one #02, which tha “My Section” track. If that’s tha case, I gon review that one, here… Beat sounds nice fa tha Rouge; tha hook’s pretty nice, too… And, 1st time hearin’ WeeThang on tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ nice… At :48, we brought it back; sounds like a dope track… Once I met dude, I knew he had some sorta future, so I wish tha best of success fa him! Keepin’ it movin’ wit anotha WeeThang verse, here, soundin’ dope; good shit! Makes me wanna get back to tha Rouge ASAP! I hate that it’s $600 for a plane ticket, smh; why so much? Money ain’t an issue but why can’t it be, like, $400 or somethin’, tha most? My Rating: 4.5

02. C-Loc feat. Big Poppa & Micheal Sterling “Working These Hoes”
2013, here; a compilation? >>> Sounds like a catchy, club-like track, here, wit Loc on tha 1st verse… Loc wasn’t credited on tha back cover’s tracklist so I had to do my searchin’… Sometimes, I don’t expect club-type music from him but shit like this sounds pretty dope… Tha hook’s pretty catchy, here; good shit… Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice wit this “gumbo” he providin’… And, tha Pop on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ good, as always… I remember back in tha day, I thought he was okay, but trash. Now, it’s like, I’m glad we hear from some of these people, now-a-dayz! And, let’s see how this Micheal Sterling dude gon be on tha 4th verse… “MySpace,” huh, lol? Oh yeah, this four years ago, which “MySpace” was kinda defunct just years before… Sounds like a good contribution; nice job, y’all… My Rating: 4.3

03. Brickfare Zeke feat. Scotty Cain “Down Dat”
>>> Sounds like an interestin’, good start, here… And, we get a beat from Austin, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad, here… Of course, I feel it; diggin’ tha gangsta-soundin’, dark sound, here… Speakin’ of dark, how about last Wednesday:

Went to tha abandoned graffiti highway up here during tha night and it was dope! Tomorrow night, in honor of my brother’s death anniversary, I’m goin’ to tha abandoned Concrete City; can’t wait! Pre-shootin’ some tribute videoz & gettin’ some photos done! With tha hook, it’s definitely dope, here; good shit! Definitely feelin’ it! However, I’ono what this iz! “100 pounds, I broke it down to 100 zips;” feelin’ it! “Down That Bitch” iz this title? My Rating: 4.2
EDIT: Lil’ would I know that I’d randomly Shazam it and it’d come up! Brickfare Zeke feat. Scotty Cain “Down Dat”! This tha track that’s not on tha back cover…

04. Mista Cain feat. Scotty Cain “No Shootas”
My Current Rating: 4.4

05. Mula Pugh “Downlow”
>>> I’m really likin’ this start, whateva this iz… Sounds like some good Rouge music on tha 1st verse and tha beat from Austin, here; good shit! Tha hook sounds good; of course, gotta keep shit on tha “downlow.” Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, as they “eat that thang up fa lunch,” here; chomp, chomp! My Rating: 4.2

06. Mula Pugh “Plottin’ On Ya”
>>> I’ono how much I can feel this one… “It’s retarded, it’s retarded” beat tag, here… Not really feelin’ this voice, that much… At times, I like it but at times, it sounds annoying… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s ehh; tha voice throws me off too much… Don’t recognize this one… “People countin’ on me… They plottin’ on me…” Oh, now I recognize it… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s not bad, as well, now that I know who it iz… Still, a lil’ yada-yada-yada-yada wit this dude… Tha previous song was better, as well as tha voice… A Kevin Gates-sampled outro, here? My Rating: 3.6

07. Mula Pugh “TBH”
>>> Beat’s ehh, here… Just sounds like a regular voice, here, with nothin’ special to offer… Ugh, anotha Mula one, again? Whoeva burned this CD completely didn’t follow tha tracklist and just shoved tha same artists back to back, smh… But yeah, this worse than tha previous song; not feelin’ tha mainstream shit, here… My Rating: 2.2

08. S-8ighty feat. Lil’ Wayne “Halfway (Remix)”
Was almost like, “I know this one; why this mainstream shit on here?” Then again, I remember it soundin’ bounce-y, so I believe it’s New Orleans or somethin’… >>> Ewe!! Let’s pretend I’m deaf in both ears, right now…! Keep it in tha mainstream, not on my underground CDs! Hate how tha 2nd verse sounds like Drake, at times, even tho it Weezy! Also, clean version; really? My Rating: 1.2

09. Sheppard “Whole Week”
>>> Instant start, here; sounds pretty nice, in a way, on this hook… Not likin’ these instant starts that rewind after a few seconds… Same Sheppard as tha Lil’ Sheppard? I think so… Dude sound like he neva fell off; great to have that motivation! “Smokin’ blunts and poppin’ molly;” crazy dude! Hearin’ tha verse and it’s aight; fuck that stupid “get to tha money” shit that repeats so many times, smh! Couldn’t come up wit somethin’ else there? My Rating: 4.0

½time: Only a 3.6-rated compilation, so far; can be better! A lil’ trashy with tha mainstream-soundin’ bullshit but there’s some nice tracks on here… Let’s see what we have left…

10. T.E.C. & Maine Musik “Ain’t No Comin’ Down”
>>> Sounds dope wit that intro in tha streetz; good shit… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice; feelin’ tha Rouge shit! “It’s up there!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, strictly comin’ through on this faster beat! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, here; lots of rappin’ and a jammin’ beat, ya dig, lol…?! And, tha 3rd verse’s pretty nice, here; good shit! Rowdy endin’; lots of talkin’ wit tha crazy hook goin’ off… My Rating: 4.1

11. Thug Brothers “Go Tuff”
>>> This sounds like a dope start; dabbin’ in tha beginnin’, here? Expectin’ somethin’ dope, here!! Easily sounds like tha top song on here? Definitely feelin’ tha energy in tha beat and how dem Brothers comin’ through, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and you already know, energetic!! Damn, this 48-second intro wit tha rewindin’ again! Damn! Again, 47 seconds later, anotha rewind? I’ono, but all tha rewindin’ kinda blends in nicely wit this vibe! A crazy length of 5:52, here! Oh, finally, we have a full 1st verse! Love how dude don’t stop on tha 1st verse; “ran off on tha plug twice!” Damn…! Iz this what tha jiggaz bring, lol? Definitely lovin’ it!! So glad I finally got to see jiggaz!! Can’t deny tha 2nd verse, ya know? No matter what’s spit, it’s still nice! Funny how I mentioned jiggaz and now, y’all jiggin’! Pretty crazy, once again! And, tha ending, here, soundin’ like tha beginning, still pretty crazy! An ending, here; sounds like samples from a music video or somethin’, lol? Random rippin’? My Rating: 4.4

12. WNC “Run Up”
>>> Here comes a “Run Up, Get Done Up” track; can’t imagine who it iz… Either way, beat’s pretty nice and so iz tha hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and dude pretty energetic; a jiggalater at its finest?! This tha 1st time I’m hearin’ this dude; pretty nice, here! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, still soundin’ energetic; gotta love it! My Rating: 4.3

13. A.T.G. “Started Sumthin’”
>>> Feelin’ tha energetic intro, here; can’t wait ta hear! Shit-ton of rhymes on tha 1st verse, here; definitely feelin’ tha agility!! Now, a Baton Rouge-soundin’ beat? Did it rewind? Guess so… “Bitch, you—bitch, you—bitch, you—bitch, you shouldn’t started nothin’!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty dope; insane speed and lyrics!! Hearin’ tha rest and it’s pretty dope, too; gotta luv tha craziness! My Rating: 4.5

14. Boosie Badazz feat. Mista Cain “Big Blue Hundreds”
>>> Can tell it sounds like a Boosie track… Do I sound strange to say that I’m feelin’ this? Not my kinda title/topic but it sounds nice wit this beat and Boosie presence, I guess? I hope people don’t take this shit serious, as far as they have to carry “big blue hundreds!” Oh, here we go wit tha Mista shit on tha 2nd verse, smh… He did a nice job but how many times we gotta hear him? A Boosie verse on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice… Gonna make this a guilty pleasure rating, here… My Rating: 4.2

15. B Will feat. Boosie Badazz, Shu & J Day “Lil’ Shooter”
>>> This one’s five minutes long; here we go… Ain’t expect it to be tha Boosie track wit tha sound of this, but I had a feelin’ it was gon be two Boosie tracks, back to back… I think whoeva did tha back cover fucked this one up; this ain’t no Boosie… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad… Oh, I have tha full ID, here: B Will feat. Boosie Badazz, Shu & J Day “Lil’ Shooter”! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ a lil’ betta… Kinda luvin’ how they’re obsessed with this “shooter,” here; ain’t thank y’all fucked wit supportin’ other people! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s not bad, here; diggin’ a lil’ more of an aggressive vibe, here… Here comes Boosie at 3:44, comin’ through wit tha pure aggression… My Rating: 3.8

16. Brickfare Zeke “On Ya Head”
>>> Instant start; I’m expectin’ it to rewind, smh! Yeah, :11 in; prolly’ll happen again… Yup; let’s see what we got… Sounds like a nice hook, here, between tha beat and content… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ like he off some jiggaz or somethin’, wit this “Yaba-Daba-Doo” shit, lol… My Rating: 4.0

17. Brickfare Zeke x Scotty Cain “Stick Out”
>>> Anotha instant start…; prolly tha other Zeke track? Got La’Keith doin’ this beat; leggo! Got tha “dick out,” here, on tha hook; definitely dope and energetic, here, ya dig? Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, doin’ tha crazy thang, here… I see how tha “dick” iz used as “tha one that go up in tha glock, not tha bitch mouth,” just so y’all know! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice from Scotty, here; nothin’ much else ta say… Definitely a catchy track, right chea; y’all dope! My Rating: 4.3

18. Da Real Gee Money “Take It There”
Lol!! My Current Rating: 4.9

19. Jay Lewis feat. T.E.C., Maine Musik & Geaux Yella “Ain’t My Round”
>>> Don’t sound like a good ending… Sounds like it gon be a 1.0-rated track wit this dumb auto-tune shit… A BlaqNmilD beat, here… No interest from me wit tha 1st verse, here… Tha 2nd verse a lil’ betta but whateva… And, at 2:28, it sound like a heartbeat; why a music video on tha CD? Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s ehh; why am I commentin’ when I keep hearin’ auto-tune, smh? I have to say, this worse than tha S-8ighty track… I was right about tha rating from when I first heard tha first second of it! My Rating: 1.0

Overall: Not too bad, overall… At least there was a good mix of tha Rouge on here… Too bad some shitty mainstream-soundin’ shit had to knock tha average CD rating down…

Review #1,471: Level "Ain't No Turnin' Down (The Mixtape) (Hosted by Big Jay)"

Reviewed on 6.29.2015 (Review #1,471)

Here comes anotha review I’m doin’: Level Ain’t No Turnin’ Down (The Mixtape) (Hosted by Big Jay), courtesy of Mayham Entertainment. Released earlier this year; nice, right? No ‘cause it wasn’t sent to me on time, so I ain’t payin’ a penny for this shit! Respect my values first!! Start Time: 2:22:22 PM | End Time: 3:11:40 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2015 CD Review (Review #1,471) reviewed on 6.29.2015 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. Intro
>>> Big Jay on tha intro, here; nice… Nice lil’ beginning, even though it was obsessed with “money,” smh! Soundin’ a lil’ pitch-increased, Level? Not really diggin’ that everything that has to have a focus iz “money” shit. Either way, nice lil’ blend to get  you all hyped up! My Rating: N/A

02. “Ain’t No Turnin’ Down” feat. Tweeday
You be real good at resurrectin’ names from tha dead, it seems like? I remember dat cat, Tweeday, from, like, 2010 or somethin’. >>> Sounds like his collaboration with Jiggaman from three years ago with Ready, “Get Loose”, in tha beginning? Sounds like I hear a “loose?” Anyway, sounds nice with this energetic beat fa tha south and how you be comin’ through on tha hook, Level! I know this a lil’ old ‘cause of tha collaboration, I think? I just don’t think I heard it before, but your voice sounds a lil’ different? Maybe, I’m just trippin’? Feelin’ tha hyped-up rhymes… This gotta be old if there’s more “jiggaz” references than money rhymes! Like, that’s a golden verse fa me, unlike tha shit today! Really feelin’ Tweeday’s energy on tha 2nd verse; he sounds more energized than you, Lev!! Excellent job, Twee-to-tha-day! A lil’ blendin’ toward tha last minute, here… My Rating: 4.5

03. “Turnt Up”
Looks familiar? >>> Female on tha hook? Either way, hot! Definitely feelin’ tha energy on this beat and Dolby D mixin’ it nicely! Kinda reminds me of “Stupid Wit It” from Gorilla Goonz & all dem from tha Get Live Clique, from a ½ decade ago! That’s how tha hook sounds, so I’m glad you have a 337-like influence on this CD, so far! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit dat consistent club vibe; can’t deny it! What else do I gotta say? Continuin’ on with tha 2nd verse, here; definitely continues ta sound nice! Gotta dig this to tha max! All that energy I get to provide while at my job; it comes from shit like this!!! My Rating: 4.6

04. “Believe Dat” feat. Deezy Cain
>>> Sounds like a nice gangsta vs. club vibe in tha beat intro, here… Even got a Nu$$ie lil’ “retarded, believe dat” sample! I have to say, it’s been a while since I heard him sampled, which I’m glad he had some space to breathe! It sounds real hot, here; definitely a nice hook!! And, you comin’ through on tha 1st verse’s definitely “dumb,” “believe dat,” lol! ROFL @ “Like Mike, Marlo;” what a rhyme, lol… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from Deezy and it’s good, though kinda like, “I’m tha best” / “You suck” / “I can do anything,” you know, that cocky shit… Either way, such a great, energetic vibe!! Keepin’ it goin’ with a 3rd verse with you on tha 3rd verse and yes, this iz on tha newer side: “27 years,” so you’re my current age, here. I can’t believe someone at my job’s been workin’ at my job since months before you were born, lol!! Think: They’re still active; how ‘bout dat, Level?! Shout out to Gloria!! “There’s a Lizard in tha buildin’!!” My Rating: 4.8

05. “It Ain’t Far” feat. Racked-Up Ready & Mouse On Tha Track
Mouse uncredited in tha ID? My Current Rating: 4.9

06. “I Can’t Help It” feat. Mouse On Tha Track & Racked-Up Ready
ROFL, tha both of them again, only reversed in tha ID! Excited fa this one!! >>> Beat almost sounds like it’s old, like “On Dem Jiggaz”, or somethin’. However, this new, since they “stalkin’ on [Mouse]’s IG,” lol! He need ta check that thang more, since he wanted to do some shit with me in tha future! As far as tha hook, it’s definitely on-n-poppin’ with one of Baton Rouge’s greatest voices eva: Mouse!! Excellent beat and excellent job wit dat voice!! And, here you are on tha 1st verse but I have to criticize you for somethin’, Level: WHY IZ YOUR INSTAGRAM PRIVATE?!?!? How you expect ta let people look at your shit? Your MySpace wasn’t private, right? Well, take your IG serious!! Either way, nice verse; fuck tha “money” shit, though! We got Ready on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit a sex scene ova this clubbin’ beat, lol… Diggin’ this whole picture of Ready’s tattoos all over his body toward tha end of tha 2nd verse; nice description! My Rating: 4.8

07. “Locked Up” feat. Mz. Trill
Anotha Trill collab… >>> “Sinista on tha track;” was that what I heard in tha beginning? Anyway, hot beat, once again! Nice lil’ hook, too, Lev! Here you go with tha 1st verse, comin’ through with tha advantage to when dem hoes/patnaz get “locked up;” time ta snatch?! Oh, and whataya know, that Gloria just liked my status on how it’s cold outside and it’s June 29, lol! It’s warmin’ up now but I needed a hoodie outside, earlier, smh! Nice job with tha 1st verse, strictly holdin’ it down, Level! And, Mz. Trill really goin’ off on tha 2nd verse, consistently, here; nice job!! Y’all always collab in a great way, through clubbin’, fuckin’ & more! Even more Level on tha 3rd verse, cumin’ through wit a nuttacular verse, lol! He skeetin’ all on they body parts!! My Rating: 4.5

08. “Is U Wet Yet (Remix)” feat. Dorrough
Ewe, really old! I neva had gotten high before back then, ROFL!! My Current Rating: 4.0

09. “Hit Dat (Remix)” feat. Hurricane Chris & Kevin Gates
This, too, and they got Gates in front of Chris, here, on tha ID… Funny how, “Iz that purple I smell?,” and I had neva gotten high before! So gay those times of mine back in tha day of just reviewin’ random people and not goin’ anywhere! Still, this a classic! My Current Rating: 4.9

½time: Very consistent, club-jammin’ CD, so far; gotta luv it, Level! You always fulla dat energy!! Keep creatin’ such classic club bangaz fa tha undaground, Level! You ain’t eva gotta sell out ‘cause tha jamz are right here, ya dig?! A 4.6-rated CD, currently; keep it goin’!!

10. “All Nite Flite” feat. Mista Cain
Old? *Checks* Holy shit, I was only 20 at tha time!! Weird that I smoked weed only once at that time, too!! My Current Rating: 4.8

11. “Let Us In” feat. Juvenile & Lil’ Trill
No Lil’ Trill on tha feature? My Current Rating: 4.7

12. “Level Rock”
My Current Rating: 3.7

13. “On Yo Dumb-Ass” feat. Skip
Might be a newbie for me? *Checks* Nope, Turn Down 4 What? CD… My Current Rating: 4.3

14. “Get In Here (Remix)” feat. Kevin Gates
*Randomly shouts* “Jenna!!” It’s “(Remix)”! My Current Rating: 4.7

15. “What’s Up” feat. Big Poppa, Big Joe & A Bay Bay
Could we have a newbie? I think so… >>> This sounds nice; good shit on tha hook from Poppa! Diggin’ how tha title’s always said on tha 2nd ½ of tha hook and now, good shit from you on tha 1st verse, Lev! “I got money out tha ass;” NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! “All in tha V.I.P., smellin’ like a pound;” YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, lol! You know when you smoke with chicks, especially all tha way up to 47 years-old, you know you really luvin’ life to tha fullest!! What more could you ask for?! Keepin’ it goin’ with tha biggest Poppa on tha 2nd verse, lol, comin’ through with a “tsunami,” lol; nice job! Tha club’s are on-n-poppin’, here! And, s…o…m…e…b…o…d…y…o…n…t…h…a…3…r…d…v…e…r…s…e…; who iz it? Sounds nice… Googlin’ tha info now and it’s from 2013, featuring Big Joe & A Bay Bay, as well, lol. My Rating: 4.2

16. “They Ain’t Like Dat” feat. Mouse On Tha Track
Yay!! A new Mouse collab!! >>> I know I’ve heard this before; different title? Either way, Q-Red beat and you goin’ off on tha hook, Level; catchiness at its finest! I’ll review this like I neva heard it before in case I ain’t eva review it… Level, you’re on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit your classic club vibe on tha verse; good shit! You already know you’re unstoppable, in certain ways! Ooh, a bad-nerved Mouse on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some jammin’ shit! Like, he must feel like a random object or somethin’ with that voice of his! What could he compare himself to now? LOL, “It ain’t my fault,” like tha old Mystikal! Great collab; great job on tha 2nd verse, Mouse! Gotta luv ya for life!! Keepin’ it goin’ with you on tha 3rd verse, Level; keep goin’ “hard” at all times!! “I be fulla dat shit;” who ain’t, lol?! My Rating: 4.7

17. “Bounce Around” feat. Jimi Jump
Let’s keep these anticipatin’ collabz comin’! >>> Anticipatin’ intro, here, from a random person—oh wait, Jimi Jump? LOL, but nice beat, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds like some good club music, though I don’t agree with tha “racks!” Nice 2nd ½ of tha hook with tha title repeatin’; that’s that classic formula!! Sounds like crickets in tha background of tha 1st verse? Hot sound with Jimi Jump comin’ through on tha 1st verse, strictly comin’ through nicely! “All on my nizzuts,” lol! “All right, all right, all right;” okay! LOL! Here you come on tha 2nd verse, lol, “I’m in this bitch with Jimi!!” Luv how you have so much energy in your voice and you definitely got shit on lock, here! Tha most energy in your voice on this CD, so far? Definitely what’s up!! “Loratabs, Xanabarz;” you already know! Even more Jimi, here, comin’ through on tha 3rd verse nice and fulla dat shit!! My Rating: 4.4

18. “Watch Me As I Enter” feat. Small Circle Kartel & DJ B-Real
OMG, my heart’s racing…! I could cry right now… I’m so anxious!!!!! Do I have to say it? …Ang!! “Were you first on break?,” lol!! Gonna make sure she’s on my screen while I have this B-Real-infested joint play in tha background! Also, it sux that this tha 1st time I’m hearin’ SCK, I believe? Weird that I know that there’s an error on their spelling on this CD, as they have Kartel as “Cartel.” They’ve been around for, like, a year or two and it took this long? Like, why nothin’ sent to me? Any CDs out? Don’t let ‘em go to waste! A record label from NYC just did a magazine article on me and so did a DJ company based in Orlando; don’t overlook me!!! >>> Beat sounds like somethin’ from a long time ago in Baton Rouge, like a Down Bad song (“Keep Rollin’”?). Anyway, this a pretty nice track; definitely feelin’ this addictive hook with tha title repeatin’! Don’t know tha dude on tha 1st verse but he must be a part of tha SCK click… Hearin’ it and it sounds pretty nice; definitely diggin’ this a whole lot! Definitely some classic-soundin’ Rouge shit, here! This dude definitely doin’ a nice job on tha verse, here; good shit! Really diggin’ that hook to tha fullest!! I would be surprised if this tops my review, here! If not, it’ll prolly be tha best new joint on this CD that I’ve neva heard of before? U…h…o…h… … … … … B-Real on tha 2nd verse!!! I think what I’m gonna do iz quote his verse on here and comment on tha lyrics, themselves:

Tha verse iz excellent and doesn’t even have a money reference!!! Don’t worry, we’ll re-connect and meet one day, B-Real! Overall: OMG, my review ended at 3:11—Ang’s birthday time!! Now, B-Real, I must ask, “Can we start breaks?!” LOL! Oh, I’m nice and happy, but watch, I’ll be sad, now that this review’s ova… But, this definitely was a nice and consistent CD to review! Luved pretty much every track that was on here and you already know you keepin’ tha clubs on-n-poppin’, Level! I know you don’t take me serious, but at least I’m still fuckin’ stupid to do this review and state my opinion! I must be so fuckin’ old ta be 27, right? Still in a room doin’ reviewz instead of fuckin’, right? Right? Whateva…
