Disclaimer:
I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. Intro
>>> Sounds like an outro-type production but it’s good ta slowly get listeners in tha zone ta get ready fa this big shit! My Rating: N/A

02. “Ya Miss, Ya Lose”
>>> Sounds like a consistent way ta start off tha 1st verse, here; catchy fa these 2000 streetz, with this street beat…! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good; props fa havin’ your eyez on tha future prizes, Nitti! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds nice with how you deliver this street content; gotta respect it…! My Rating: 4.0

03. “Wide Open” feat. Patti Kakes
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ street beat fa tha south, once again; hearin’ you on tha 1st verse & this street content goes well with tha vibe, here… Hearin’ tha hook & it’s catchy with this “Wide Open” shit; gotta have it “open” like dat! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from this Patti Kakes & she sounds like a dry female rapper; like, spoken-word’s more fa her? Keepin’ this thang movin’ with you on tha 3rd verse & it’s soundin’ okay… I felt like my interest went to a dry level once Patti Kakes did her verse… Also, nice lil’ reppin’ on tha outro, here, with tha peeps… My Rating: 3.1

04. “Tha Peacemaker” feat. C-Loc
>>> Hearin’ Loc on this & this beat makes me feel nice & confident, Concentration Camp style! Hearin’ Loc on tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ like some dope shit from tha ‘90s; gotta luv when Loc in tha buildin’! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good; I like how tha both of y’all come thru on tha hook fa tha streetz! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse & it sounds decent with your flow; tha beat & Loc, basically, covered your presence, here, no matter how you come through on tha mic… Keepin’ this thang goin’ on tha 3rd verse & it’s you, comin’ through as a street’s leader; good shit… Luv how Loc stated it: “Concentration Camp style” but hearin’ tha “‘98” shit made me think, “I reviewed this in tha past?” *Checks…* Guess not? My Rating: 4.3

05. “Still Here”
>>> Sounds like a slower beat ta get you more in a focus… Hearin’ how you comin’ through on this 1st verse & it sounds okay/good; stay focused! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds like one of your random, unexpected catchy tracks. Just hearin’ you always say, “Still Here”, just makes me think that you aimed for catchiness with this hook. Continuin’ on with tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ aight; I feel your street perspective, tho. Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 3rd verse & it’s good; just seems like it’s a lil’ long fa a track, overall… My Rating: 3.6

06. Interlude
>>> Almost thought that was Greg Dukes on tha intro, fa a second… Anyway, this just seems like an innocent vs. guilty-type of sappy interlude. My Rating: N/A

07. “Just Say When” feat. Young Bleed
>>> Sounds like a dope lil’ hood anthem, based off this beat; can’t wait ta hear…! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Bleed & he spittin’ dat true shit as if this was tha Concentration Camp! Good shit! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s pretty dope with tha both of y’all on this; great collab fa tha streetz! Keepin’ this thang movin’ wit you on tha 2nd verse, here & it sounds good with how you come through fa tha streetz, here; keep goin’! As this keeps goin’, you’re on tha 3rd verse, as well, comin’ through with nervousness in tha “nerves”; gotta let it be known! Ooh, a 2nd part of tha 3rd verse from Bleed, as there’s only 22 seconds left! Nice lil’ quickness delivered, here; every second counted!! My Rating: 4.4

08. “Make A Move” feat. Lay-Lo
>>> A slower beat, with a West Coast-type of influence; how will this turn out ta be? Hearin’ tha hook & it’s cool fa a lil’ slowie; I’ll give it some of my props… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse & it sounds aight; hate ta say it but this joint may drag fa me… Keepin’ this thang goin’ wit Max on tha 2nd verse, soundin’ good with his lyrical content; great job, Mr. Minelli! Keepin’ this thang goin’ wit J-Von on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through with some consistent-soundin’ shit fa tha hood; definitely feelin’ his Lay-Lo presence! My Rating: 4.2

09. “Grind (Remix)” feat. J-Von
>>> Cool lil’ remix, here; nice beat & great shit wit what you bring to tha hook, in a gangsta’s perspective. Keepin’ it instantly movin’ with tha 1st verse from you, here, comin’ through wit havin’ a 100% focus on tha streetz; good goin’… Keepin’ this shit goin’ with J-Von on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit mo street content fa you ta channel; thumbs up, here… With 1:33 left, will there be anotha verse or just this beat/outro…? Okay, 23 seconds later, here comes a 3rd verse from you, comin’ through as a str8-up “soulja,” courtesy of tha “rag”; huh bruh… My Rating: 3.7

½tyme: Seems like a nice release from you, here; some decent tracks but for tha most part, you got tha streetz on lock, from tha N.O. to tha B.R.! Currently, your release iz at a 3.9 for tha average rating, currently; let’s keep it up!

10. “Head Busser Party” feat. 50 Kal.
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ upbeat beat, here…; hearin’ tha 1st verse & it str8 from this 50 Kal. dude. Some of his vocals are good but some of his flow sounds random/a lil’ off? Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ str8; just seems more like an odd focus on tha lack of a consistent flow? I’m dozin’ off with tha remainder of this; just seems like an outro & nothin’ much ta keep me interested, unfortunately… My Rating: 2.7

11. “Curtains Call” feat. Lucky Knuckles
>>> Beat sounds good fa tha hood, here; nice sounds fa tha streetz… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds good; I dig tha slightly-eerie feelin’ of tha streetz, here. Hearin’ tha hook & it cool; I dig how tha both of y’all collab on it. Keepin’ this thang goin’ with Lucky Knuckles on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit betta energy & street vibes, here; huh bruh…! Definitely feelin’ how dude comin’ through wit his energy; definitely appreciated…! Keepin’ it goin’ with you on tha 3rd verse & tha flow got more on tha simple/dry side; wish you woulda channeled more from Lucky… As this slowly ends, we got a long outro, here, ta keep tha gangstaz in check… Also, a few sounds from tha hood added to spice thangz up, as well…! My Rating: 3.9

12. “Pay Tha Piper” feat. Boo, Goldie & C-Loc
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ hook & beat, here; gotta let it be known about tha “pay”! Likin’ how C-Loc comin’ through on this but why he gotta be at tha end of tha ID? Keepin’ it goin’ with mo rappin’, throughout this big collab; sounds nice but I don’t have much feedback to leave… This collab shoulda been arranged a lil’ betta? Doesn’t seem like I hear much of tha hook & just hear a bunch of verse parts from each of y’all… My Rating: 3.0

13. “Eyes Closed” feat. 50 Kal.
>>> Sounds like an okay beat but I prolly gon get bored fast with tha 5:20 length… Hearin’ what’s good with tha 1st verse & it sounds a lil’ catchy; flow decent, too… Hearin’ tha hook & it ain’t bad with how you come through about tha “eyes” bein’ “closed”; not bad… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from Mr. Kal. & it’s soundin’ betta than yours, here, courtesy of tha flow, lyrics & voice; props fa tha contribution & collab… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse that you bringin’ & it ain’t bad with how you keepin’ this track on-n-poppin’; props fa tha effort… Also, there’s an outro on here ta extended tha length to its 5:20; it’s whatev… My Rating: 2.9

14. Interlude
>>> Sounds like you & tha chick ready ta fuck, based off of what I’m hearin’? Just anotha interlude in a random world… My Rating: N/A

15. “Take Flight” feat. Patti Kakes
>>> Beat sounds a lil’ slower & more on tha East Coast/Mobb Deep-type fa me, here… Hearin’ what you got on tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ okay; I feel tha darker vibe in tha beat fa your rhymes, this tyme… Oh boy, tha Patti chick’s on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through with consistent spoken shit, not really rappin’, imo… As tha dry vibes continue, here you are, pickin’ up from where Patti left off, spittin’ okay shit. It sounds like your flow’s really dry; like, it just sounds like you’re speakin’ into tha mic, rather than rappin’? My Rating: 2.5

16. “Drownin’” feat. Laboe
>>> Beat ain’t too bad, here; I’ono how much I can appreciate your flow, on tha 1st verse; just seems like a faster version of spoken-word shit? Hearin’ tha hook & it’s kinda dry with that singin’; almost reminds me of Ed West on tha hook… Hearin’ what you got goin’ on, as we continue with tha 2nd verse & you keepin’ that iffy flow/decent rhymes in tha mix, here… As far as tha rest of this, not really too into it; long lil’ depressed outro from Laboe, as well… My Rating: 1.4

17. “Manditory” feat. Jacko
>>> Sounded like it went from tha rain to a street-soundin’ beat, based off tha transition in tha intro; interestin’… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds okay with tha way you deliver these rhymes; not bad, overall… Tha rhymes b4 tha 1st verse ended were pretty consistent; keep dat consistency up! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s a lil’ catchy; I give you some props… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ okay from you, as well; keep on goin’… Keepin’ it goin’ with Jacko on tha 3rd verse, here, with a darker-soundin’ voice & that good, street shit; thumbs up fa this collab…! That “dope charge” from “February” was interestin’ ta hear; also, delivered in a catchy way…! My Rating: 3.8

18. “Small World”
>>> Beat sounds good but I’ono if I can fuck wit your flow, here, on tha 1st verse…? Sounds like tha rhymes are just bein’ spoken, rather than rapped? Hearin’ tha hook & it’s aight; just seems like it randomly fit itself & kiddy/vocal ability in this track… Keepin’ it goin’ with tha 2nd verse & your flow’s a lil’ betta; sounds like your vocals can be louder, tho? Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & tha content’s betta with this deeper street content; I’ll give it a lil’ more props than tha other two verses… My Rating: 2.6

19. “Situations” feat. 50 Kal.
>>> Sounds like we’re endin’ with a quality-soundin’ track fa tha streetz, here; nice hook & beat…! It’s all about those damn “Situations” that get in our way! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from 50 Kal., startin’ tha verses off; catchy/good shit, here…! Keepin’ this shit goin’ with tha 2nd verse & tha rhymes are soundin’ consistent, here; good lil’ shit, as this shit continues! Keepin’ it goin’ with tha 3rd verse & you sound good with what’s bein’ brought to tha streetz, here; you know what it iz! My Rating: 4.1

Overall: Thought this woulda turned out betta; however, certain flows, hooks & how some of tha tracks were a lil’ long turned me off. Either way, glad you got ta release an album & get your point of view out to tha world! Can’t believe next month, on July 25th, gon be two decades since you were murdered!

Review #1,993: Gotti Click "Mob Life, Vol. 1"

Reviewed on 6.07.2021 (Review #1,993)

Seems like my goal to my 2,000th review’s so close but so far away… On to my 1,993th review, as I get closer: Gotti Click Mob Life, Vol. 1, released in 2000 on Gotti Records, entirely produced by Cool D! Start Tyme: 11:01 AM | End Tyme: 11:29 AM

01. “Down Bad With The Click”
>>> Beat sounds kinda dry, here… Hearin’ tha rappin’ & it sounds good fa tha streetz; good shit… Just gotta point somethin’ out, tho: Tha shorter song on this release iz 3:47? That means, a bunch of long tracks are on here; don’t be surprised if I make this quicker than usual… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good; tha horns on tha hook make it try to sound like an anthem. However, it sounds a lil’ dry? Tha rest of tha dudes on this sound good with their contributions; not bad, overall… My Rating: 3.7

02. “You Know Who I Am” feat. Spyda
>>> Feelin’ tha energy & excitement bein’ brought to tha beat & rappin’, here; glad there’s more energy than tha last song on here! Hearin’ tha rappin’ & it’s soundin’ good; tha hook sounds catchy, especially with this beat. It’s all about holdin’ it down for tha streetz at all tyme, ya feel me? My Rating: 4.2

03. “Tales From The Swamp”
>>> Beat sounds nice with tha bass, despite tha beat kinda soundin’ quiet & plain… Hearin’ what y’all got goin’ on with tha rappin’ & it sounds good, except tha fact that it’s 5:49 on tha length. Seems like a lotta this shit drags but it’s still nice ta hear tha N’awlinz hood life… My Rating: 3.2

04. “Last Days” feat. C-Dog
>>> Again, tha bass cool but this beat’s more on tha quiet, plain side… Hearin’ what y’all got & it’s str8; props fa this continuous content fa tha streetz, once again… My Rating: 3.0

05. “Game So Cold”
>>> Sounds like an okay hook & anotha similar beat, here… Tha rhymes only aight, here; doesn’t seem like anythang standin’ out, in a catchy way… Once again, it just seems too long… My Rating: 2.6

06. “Our Side”
>>> I still feel tha same with tha beat fa this one, just like tha other beats…; hearin’ tha rappin’ & it aight/cool fa tha streetz. It seems like my feedback gon be almost tha same fa each joint that passes on this release; what else can I say? My Rating: 2.8

07. “Twerkers & Jerkers”
>>> A lil’ more excitement with tha energetic beat, as well as a catchy lil’ hook fa tha “twerkers,” as well as tha “jerkers”! Tha rhymes sound catchy ta deliver on this type of track but it bein’ 6:13’s a lil’ too long fa me ta stay focused. My Rating: 3.8

½tyme: Only a 3.3 for tha average rating, atm; seems like too long of jointz, as well as beats soundin’ too plain & similar to each other.

08. “Mob Life”
>>> Back to those plain-soundin’ beats…; hearin’ tha rappin’ & it ain’t bad, as this long track progresses… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds like a catchy dose of numerical situations? Good lil’ hook, at least… My Rating: 3.3

09. “We On Top” feat. Cool D
>>> Beat on tha dry side, once again…; hearin’ tha rappin’ & it str8, as I continue to keep my feedback like tha beat: dry. Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds okay; a lil’ bit of catchiness but for tha most part, just a regular-soundin’ hook. My Rating: 3.1

10. “Ghetto Survivor”
>>> Too slow for a start & 6:39 on tha length gon be “rough” fa me ta handle… Too sappy with tha depressed-soundin’ lyrics/flow; also, tha chick on tha hook singin’ ain’t fa me, neither. My Rating: 1.1

11. “‘Bout To Get Dirty”
>>> Anotha dry beat; anotha decent-soundin’ hook fa tha southern streetz, too. Feelin’ how y’all comin’ through on tha verses, at least; I feel an increase in flow ability & shit. My Rating: 3.4

12. “Sugar Foot” feat. Mr. Low
>>> Nothin’ ta really say about this beat; let’s see how tha rhymes go… Sounds like some undaground N’awlinz shit on tha rhymes/flow; I’ll give y’all some props. Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds like a desperate voice vs. an orgasm? “Sugar fOOOOOOOOOt!”??? Should I consider it a lil’ humorous? My Rating: 2.9

13. “Last Letter To My Road Dog”
>>> Nothin’ ta say about tha beat; sounds like it gon be a depressin’ song, again? Yeah, just like tha previous song’s vibe, only with no humor; not really into depressed tracks… My Rating: 1.4

14. “Fallen Soljahs”
>>> Slight improvement with tha hi-hats in this beat but too long with 5:52 on tha length… Seems like continuous rhymes; can’t catch on to ‘em… Like, tha hook starts at 2:16 & tha vocals take about eight seconds to come in! Also, remakin’ tha same track that “Ghetto Supastar” remade? Yuck; “from one soljah to anotha; uh huh…” I mean, nice dedication, includin’ that it’s tha final track on this release, but not my cup of tea. My Rating: 2.2

Overall: Seemed too long of tracks & almost every beat was plain/sounded similar for tha streetz—quiet streetz?

Rankings:

14. “Ghetto Survivor” 1.1
13. “Last Letter To My Road Dog” 1.4

01. “War”
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ street beat & how y’all comin’ through on tha 1st verse, here; a N’awlinz Pac inspiration, here… Hearin’ tha hook & it’s pretty gutta with this “War”-related content; gotta stay strapped…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & this aggressive-soundin’ shit continues; gotta feel tha energy…! I like tha “leo […] zero” rhyme; pretty tough ta handle! Hearin’ tha rest of this & this shit continues ta hold it down! A lil’ long of 4:43 but at least there’s mostly positives on this track, here, courtesy of my feedback… My Rating: 4.2

02. “Trouble Times”
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ street beat fa tha N.O., here; gotta dig it! Tha 1st verse iz pretty nice with how y’all comin’ through wit it; luv how y’all deliver this everyday-life content with an aggressive, energetic voice & flow! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s soundin’ good fa tha streetz; keep it up, y’all! Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 2nd verse & this shit’s definitely consistent fa tha streetz! It’s literally like an unstoppable amount of unstoppable quality; gotta luv it! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & this shit’s pretty painful with tha “mom” who “lost her baby”; real deep… My mom had to get an abortion six years b4 I was born, due to not bein’ married. Also, she had a miscarriage in 2002; shit’s sad. Either way, glad y’all able to express how these “times” of darkness occur…! My Rating: 4.4

03. “Real Soldiers”
>>> Nice & upbeat beat, here; let tha energy speak!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ good fa tha Gz, here; gotta get it in! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds like it went by so quick? Did I hear tha right part as tha hook? Anyway, hearin’ how tha mixin’ takes over in tha beat, at 1:39; good thinkin’! Hearin’ what y’all got goin’ on with tha 2nd verse & it’s that eye on tha N’awlinz scene; good shit…! My Rating: 3.8

04. “Mama Keep Praying 4 Me”
>>> Damn, this track’s 6:17 & it sounds pretty slow, sad & sappy for this intro… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ like a dry verse, includin’ tha female vocalizin’ in tha background… Geez, what a boring/sad hook; no depressin’ vibes fa me! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & tha content’s too sad; no comment, once again… Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 3rd verse & tha sadness continues… Like, a 4th verse? Why? Just anotha filler part for more sadness, here… My Rating: 1.0

05. “AG Rider”
>>> A lil’ more energy, at least; too bad it’s 5:43…! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds aight; sounds like more of a Pac rendition than soundin’ like a N’awlinz version of him… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s aight; rhymes good but I think I gon get bored b4 tha 5:43 mark hits… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from y’all, here & it’s str8; keep tha “hustle” up, as well… Damn, an outro of 84 seconds? Why does everythang have ta be so long? Good talkin’ on tha outro, at least; keep reppin’… My Rating: 2.2

06. “Money”
>>> Beat ain’t bad, even tho I’m not big about “Money” tracks… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds like a good future, based off what y’all “see” in tha future distance, here? All about thinkin’ bigger, tho…! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s that simple “money, money, money, money, money” sample (e.g., Green Machine slot machine); no comment. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ okay; nothin’ much ta say about this braggin’ about “Money,” tho. Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & this Pac-soundin’ verse okay, as well; once again, I’m dry on feedback, here… Damn, a 4th verse, too? It ain’t bad; just seems too long, once again… My Rating: 2.7

07. “Wanna Be A Baller”
>>> Beat not bad, tho it sounds a lil’ dry, except tha hi-hats & some sounds… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds okay with what y’all bringin’ to tha hood, here; let it be known… Hearin’ tha chorus & it kinda sounds a lil’ betta for a sung hook, courtesy of this chick singin’; not bad… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ okay, as this 2000 rap from tha undaground keeps it goin’; not bad… Damn, at 3:19, tha verse ended & there’s still 2:06 left? What gives? Oh wait, more singin’? What tha hell was that 11-second dead zone? Keepin’ this goin’ with tha 3rd verse & it’s okay; just more rhymes, basically… My Rating: 3.6

08. Head Busters (Skit)
>>> A gangsta-soundin’ skit fa tha streetz, here; pretty rough, at tymes. Damn, it sounds like a war toward tha end & near-end; ouch! My Rating: N/A

½tyme: There’s parts of this release that sound good but on tha other hand, there’s parts that are too long. Also, wasn’t diggin’ tha slow content; either way, this release only stands at a 3.1 for tha average rating…

09. “Startin’ Shit”
>>> Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s pretty heated, as far as tha delivery fa this street “shit”; good shit. Oh damn, tha “jawz locked,” too; talk about focused up & turnt up! Did I miss tha hook or somethin’? Just seems like a long set of constant rappin’, here… No transition to a hook; unacceptable! Way too long…! My Rating: 2.0

10. “My Sets”
>>> Sounds like some good, energetic, No Limit-like beat & 1st verse, here; keep tha energy up! Let’s feel like we’re Fiend or Mystikal, here! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good wit this set-reppin’ goin’ on, here; good shit…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & y’all just keep tha heat for tha streetz comin’; good shit…! Lol, sounds like a dog barkin’ at tha end? Even mixed a lil’ at 3:42!! G.O.T.T.A. .L.O.V.E. .I.T.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.! My Rating: 4.1

11. “Go Off”
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ dark beat for tha hood; good shit, includin’ tha aggressive-soundin’ 1st verse… Even tho this track slightly under three minutes long, it just seems too long with no hook; like, why be hookless? My Rating: 3.4

12. “Touch Of Reality”
>>> Beat ain’t bad/has a lil’ bit of a good sound to it…; hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s str8; good rappin’ fa tha hood, here… Let’s see if this track actually has a hook to it… Oh, of course, it does but tha catch iz, it’s a female singer singin’ tha hook…; not really for me. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ okay, here; let’s just keep it movin’… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and—wait, damn, it’s just an outro? Shoulda been a shorter outro; just went right back to tha hook, too… My Rating: 2.1

13. “Death Of An Outlaw”
>>> Instantly started off with tha title part, kickin’ off tha 1st verse & this good beat ta rap on; good shit… Hearin’ tha hook & it’s soundin’ like a good hook; I’ono how catchy it iz but it at least touches tha streetz… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s more rappin’ for tha lyrical headz, here; okay for me, I guess… I’m just about halfway through this track & it’s soundin’ like it’s kinda long fa me; hmm… Hearin’ tha 2nd dude on tha 2nd part of tha 2nd verse & it’s aight; basically, if you like ‘90s rap, here’s anotha voice & flow fa tha undaground… Lol @ actually sayin’, “2010,” at tha end; random year to pick for tha future? My Rating: 3.0

14. “7th Ward”
>>> Feelin’ tha energy in tha beat & intro, here; let’s see how this turns out… Okay, definitely into tha hook, here, as tha repetitiveness catches my attention; keep tha energy up, up, up! Tha rest of this continues with chants, continuous rappin’ & not really a hook. However, tha energy continues, so I feel it more than usual tracks on here… My Rating: 3.8

15. “Better Off”
>>> Not sure if I’m anticipatin’ a female singin’ on tha intro, here… Hearin’ tha beat & it’s slow/soundin’ depressin’, here…; hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s ehh… Hearin’ tha hook from tha female singin’ & it’s not for me; let’s move on… Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 2nd verse & how can y’all be involved with “titties” on this sappy track? Just seems too sad, not love-makin’…! My Rating: 1.1

16. “AG Rising”
>>> Sounds like an upbeat beat ta end thangz off? Thought it woulda been somethin’ sad, again…? Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds like buku energy & some aggression comin’ from y’all, here; good shit… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds like a catchy representation for “AG” Records; props fa tha 2nd “AG”-related track… Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ good; gotta keep tha streetz on lock! My Rating: 3.7

Overall: Thought this woulda went over betta…; tha songs weren’t arranged in tha catchiest, best wayz, imo. There were a bunch of tymes I ain’t know what was goin’ on with hooks, transitions & all that. Also, tha sad vibes threw me off; y’all coulda had a betta-soundin’ release, here. Either way, props fa reppin’ tha streetz of that 504.

Review #1,991: Fiend Presents "Can I Burn?"

Reviewed on 6.06.2021 (Review #1,991)

As I continue ta do these reviewz till I hit tha 2,000 mark, I’m at tha 1,991st mark, right now: Fiend Presents Can I Burn?, released in 2000 on Fiend Entertainment! Start Tyme: 8:53 AM | End Tyme: 9:41 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!

01. Intro
Producer: Fiend
>>> S/O to tha “rockumentary” & long live my patna, Geno Saladin, fa coinin’ tha “blockumentary” term fa my Louisiana trips! Luv your aggression on this track, here; definitely nice…! Also, a lil’ distorted with bein’ able ta hear tha phone call, courtesy of this beat still bein’ louder than tha phone call… My Rating: N/A

02. “Gone Get’m”
Producer: Fiend
>>> Sounds good with tha beat & tha aggressive-soundin’ 1st verse from you, here; gotta “get’m,” Fiend! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s pretty pumpin’; gotta dig tha energy & aggression, once again! Keepin’ this thang goin’ with tha 2nd verse & tha way you hold it down fa tha streetz iz too on-point!! My Rating: 4.6

03. “Lookwhutyallmademedo”
Producer: Fiend, DJ Khaled & DJ Nasty
Lol, DJ Khaled’s a part of this 2000 release? Forgot he was N.O.-bound… >>> Definitely sounds pretty pure & anthemic, based off how you handle tha intro…! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, as well; you + tha beat = heat! Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 2nd verse & this shit’s definitely on-point, once again; keep tha street content comin’! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it’s pretty strong with how you come through; your presence defines a hell of a lot!! My Rating: 4.4

04. “Long Change” feat. Dat Bitch Bugsy
Producer: Fiend
>>> Startin’ off immediately & you sound great on tha 1st verse, here; beat ain’t too bad, as well…! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds dope; I just luv your fuckin’ aggressive voice on tha mic!! Here comes Dat Bitch… Bugsy, that iz, on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some catchy rhymes. Not as aggressive as you on tha mic but I feel her channeled aggression from you; good collab…! My Rating: 4.1

05. “Welcome To” feat. Ward Block
Producer: Fiend
>>> Slower beat, here; let’s see how this shit goes… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds catchy; you sound really loaded but focused, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it ain’t bad; I’ono if I really feel this slower shit of yours, tho. Like, tha more-aggressive, more-energetic & faster tracks seem to hit my heart more… I hear that you & this Ward Block are splittin’ tha 1st verse, here; nice job…! Keepin’ this thang movin’ with anotha member of tha Ward Block on tha 2nd verse, here? Just an okay-soundin’ verse; I give it some props… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it sounds dope from you with tha aggression, on this slow beat; good shit, in a way…! My Rating: 4.0

06. “Come Thru” feat. Big Ed
Producer: Fiend
>>> Sounds like an anthemic beat; good start, here, includin’ how Big Ed comin’ through with tha quality street content on tha 1st verse…! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s pretty nice; I diggy-digz it…! Keepin’ this thang movin’ with you on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through with nice, aggressive shit, as alwayz; gotta digz it! My Rating: 4.3

07. “If I Had A Choice” feat. David Banner
Producer: David Banner
Also, a young, pre-“Like A Pimp” David Banner… >>> Sounds like a slower-type of beat/intro, here; I’ono… Hearin’ tha hook & it’s pretty sappy; can’t dig this singin’ shit… Hearin’ what you got goin’ on with tha 1st verse & Geez, it’s so dry/sappy! No comment; you don’t need these slow jamz in your liggy-liggy-lizzife! Hearin’ Big Banner on tha 2nd verse & wow, he sounds pretty young, here; at least he has some energy…! Long sets of hooks toward tha end, as well; yuck…! My Rating: 2.6

½tyme: We were at a 4.3 for tha average rating till tha slow jam just came in, knockin’ tha average rating down to a 4.0, right now… Aside from tha slow jam, at least this shit’s pretty nice, between tha aggression, tha beats & tha energy you applyin’, here; keep it up!

08. “How Long”
Producer: Fiend
>>> Long intro; anotha slow jam? Hearin’ tha hook & it’s aight; a lil’ too dragged out & boring fa me, tho. Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds good with your street content, here; I’ll give you your props… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds okay with your flow, as well; good goin’ on tha verses… My Rating: 3.6

09. “Ride w/T Heat” feat. Ward Block
Producer: Fiend
>>> Tha energy iz back! Feelin’ tha 1st verse’s aggression comin’ from you, here; gotta keep supplyin’ tha streetz with what they need! Gotta luv how tha Ward Block dudes follow after you with their energy & aggression; definitely needed! My Rating: 3.9

10. “Everytime” (B-Shype)
Producer: Fiend
>>> Way too slow fa me ta enjoy; damn, B-Shype…! Like, I don’t have any feedback on this; it’s just a wasted track! No Fiend on here, anyway! My Rating: 1.0

11. “Holla Back” feat. Blak Water
Producer: Warlock
>>> Sounds like an okay beat; your typical, anthemic beat fa tha N.O.? Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Blak Water & it cool; I’ll give it props… Damn, was I wrong with tha Blak Water? Didn’t think it was a female rappin’, on tha 2nd verse; basically, she’s pretty good with her flow. I feel a lil’ confused with this track’s review but I’ll just leave it at that I enjoyed tha energy. My Rating: 3.5

12. “Under D Influenclude”
Producer: Fiend
>>> Nice lil’ intoxicated interlude—“Influenclude,” I should say; good goin’, Fiend! Oh shit, I ain’t expect tha rappin’ at 1:20! Consistent shit ta let tha aggression out! Good goin’ all tha way round, Fiend! My Rating: 4.2

13. “Everywhere” (Speedknot Mobstaz feat. Twista)
What’s this non-Louisiana track doin’ here? >>> Beat from tha uncredited producer sounds okay ta rap on, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s okay; not too sure how well my interest gon hold up… Likin’ how this young Twista comes through on tha hook; good lil’ catchy, non-Louisiananess… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s more Mobstaz action, here, soundin’ okay; seems like it’s a bunch of regular-soundin’ rappin’ that’s kinda boring fa me… Now, a fast-rapped verse from this young Twista, on tha 3rd verse…; definitely nice! Still, I want 100% Louisiana rap music in my reviewz! My Rating: 3.7

14. “D.R.U.G.S.” feat. Untouchable & Duck
Producer: Fiend
>>> Acronym’d tha “D.R.U.G.S.” as “Dope Records Used 2 Get Scrilla” b4 Baton Rouge’s Down Bad did…! Nice job with tha hook; feelin’ your deep voice, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds nice; I feel what you want outta these N.O. streetz…! Keepin’ this movin’ with tha 2nd verse & your patna’s comin’ through wit an okay verse; just seems like a nice addition to tha track… Keepin’ this thang goin’ with tha 3rd verse & I’m feelin’ tha continued aggression; you & tha clique know what it iz! My Rating: 3.8

15. “Life Ain’t Fare”
Spellin’ “fair” as a “fare,” here…? >>> Sounds like a good lil’ beat fa tha streetz & how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse, here; gotta represent! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s pretty aggressive; definitely gotta feel just you on tha track! Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 2nd verse & it’s dope, as well; keep holdin’ tha streetz down! My Rating: 4.2

Overall: Most of this review went over well with your aggressive rhymes, tha energy in tha beats & how you came through fa tha streetz, here… Just wasn’t really wantin’ ta hear tha non-Fiend tracks, as well as some of tha dry energy on here; either way, good shit.
