Review #1,721: S.A.C. Mafia "Socca Ballin'"

Reviewed on 4.30.2017 (Review #1,721)

I ain’t expect to work 10 hours on both weekend dayz, so I have to squeeze this review in before I go to sleep… Congrats to my cousin, Jacqueline, for havin’ a daughter today, as well! Here goes my next review in my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon: S.A.C. Mafia Socca Ballin’, released in 1998 on Untouchable Records & was produced by Sinista & T-Bone! FYI: S.A.C. Mafia iz Sess 4-5 & Dumo; what up, Sess? I see you! We gon meet up soon, during one of these upcoming trips I’m makin’ to Louisiana! Start Time: 8:30 PM | End Time: 9:46 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Sendin’ The Cleaner” feat. Al Roc Capone
Uh oh! >>> It’s official; nice intro wit that intense music in tha beat! My Rating: N/A

02. “Mafia Style”
>>> Beat’s kinda fast and jammin’ fa tha undaground, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from y’all and y’all holdin’ shit down! Who’s tha random, uncredited female on here? They’re aight… Sounds like Sess toward tha end, here; definitely dope! My Rating: 4.2

03. “We Untouchable” feat. L.O.G., Lokee, Fila Phil, Sinista & Charlie Hanseen
4:20 on tha length!! >>> Sounds like it gon be one of those No Limit-soundin’ anthems, here; can’t wait fa this collab! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice; gotta be “untouchable!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd dude on tha 1st verse and it sounds like an E-40 voice, here… Anotha dude on tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ cool, too… “Burn yo block like toast;” crazy shit, Lokee! Ain’t realize that was you, at first! Can’t wait to meet you, one day! I wanna meet err-body, of course, but some people, I fucks wit on a major level! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, and it’s soundin’ dope fa this N.O. vibe, here! Tha 2nd dude on tha 2nd verse’s keepin’ this movin’, as this jammin’ as fuck! And, Fila’s on tha 3rd 1/3 of tha 2nd verse, here, really holdin’ it down wit his bounce-flowin’ flow, here; definitely luvin’ it! Can’t wait ta meet him, even tho he stay in Tampa, FL, at tha moment… My cousin’ pose to be movin’ there soon, so hopefully, I’ll be near there in tha future! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ great, as well… A female on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ decent… I’ono, if I see all dudes on tha lineup, I’d expect to hear just dudes; just sayin’… My Rating: 4.4

04. “Nigga Ya Know” feat. Charlie Hanseen & L.O.G.
>>> Definitely feelin’ this beat! Pure undaground vibes at their finest! Hearin’ tha hook and you gotta appreciate it! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 1st verse, here, and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice, here… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, too; good shit! My Rating: 4.3

05. “How Ya Haters Luv That”
>>> Sounds nice, here, wit tha beat and how tha 1st verse’s goin’… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice, too; good shit… Soundin’ consistent throughout tha whole track, of course; luv y’all vibes and continuous, consistent shit, here… And, tha 3rd verse’s pretty nice, too; good shit! My Rating: 4.0

06. “Socca Ballin’”
>>> Nice, laidback vibe, here; good hook! Gotta enjoy tha celeb life!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, here; facts are facts! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, keepin’ tha undaground lifestyle comin’ along, here… And, tha female on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ decent, as well… My Rating: 4.1

07. “Must Come Down”
>>> Feelin’ tha jammin’ beat; good hook, too! Hearin’ Sess on tha 1st verse and it’s official, here! Consistent rhymin’ in a hood they call tha N’awlinz!! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it’s goin’ over well, here! “Treat you like Toys R Us;” damn! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse, here, with non-stop rhymes, as always! My Rating: 4.3

½time: Excellent release, so far! A 4.2-rated CD; y’all got tha consistent, upbeat vibes on-n-poppin’, here, as well as holdin’ it down fa y’all hood, too! Keep up tha great work fa tha 504!

08. “That Fire” feat. Ms. Tee
>>> Nice beginning from Ms. Tee ova this plain-soundin’ beat; good hook & 1st verse! Keepin’ it movin’ wit Sess on tha 2nd verse; like how he talked about “marijuana” and all that; dope shit! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse, here, still soundin’ like E-40… And, Ms. Tee doin’ a lil’ Diana King “Shy Guy” remakin’ wit tha “mercy, mercy, mercy…” shit; nice mix… My Rating: 4.1

09. “It Don’t Stop” feat. Fila Phil, Yada & Lil’ Rugged
>>> Sounds like a nice hook; feelin’ tha upbeat vibes, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and y’all reppin’ nice, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha female on tha 2nd verse, here…; decent, but who iz she? Consistent, fast-soundin’ rappin’ goin’ on during tha 3rd verse, here; definitely nice! Tha 2nd dude on tha 3rd verse’s pretty nice, here; good shit… My Rating: 4.0

10. “Dat Gangsta”
>>> A fade-in intro? Sounds like an okay hook from tha chick, here… Also, here y’all come in ta help out… Ugh, tha female’s rappin’ tha 1st verse, here…; decent, but I thought S.A.C. Mafia was two dudes, no females? Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice, here; good shit, once again… And, keepin’ tha vibe of this undaground track comin’ along wit tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ nice… Even more rappin’ before this ends, here… My Rating: 3.9

11. “Heart Bussa”
>>> Sounds like an intense intro, here… Hook’s nice, here; definitely feelin’ tha grimy-soundin’ vibe, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like a nice, scary-soundin’ vocal wit tha lyrics, lol? Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, and y’all keepin’ tha grimy shit goin’, here… Feelin’ what y’all bringin’ to tha table wit tha gunz and shit on this track, here… I like tha lil’ interlude of thunder/rain, too; interestin’… Tha female’s on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ decent… Her part was nice and short, at leas—damn, it’s just an alternating verse! My Rating: 4.2

12. Giving Luv
>>> Sounds like shout outs; nice wit this beat… My Rating: N/A

13. “Upcoming Albums (Camouflaged Down)” (L.O.G.)
>>> I know this “ward bangin’” shit; definitely nice! I was gonna say, wasn’t Camouflaged Down tha year before this CD? Either way, nice appearance! My Current Rating: 4.4

14. “Playin’ With Choppers This Summer” (Pimp Dogg)
>>> Yeah, I get it: “In stores now: That Camouflaged Down…” With this one, I’ont think I eva heard this one, yet… Sounds like a dope hook and nice beat; good shit… As far as tha only verse on this sample, here, it’s soundin’ nice; I digz it… My Rating: 4.1

15. “Kickin’ In Doors” (Fila Phil)
>>> Not sure if I rememba this one or have heard it… Hearin’ tha beat and it’s dope; luvin’ tha sounds! Tha hook’s pretty dope, too; good shit! Hearin’ tha only verse on this sample and it’s soundin’ excellent, of course! Gotta luv Fila’s voice and flow, as always! Strictly holdin’ tha streetz of N’awlinz down to tha fullest, ya dig? My Rating: 4.5

Overall: Great job wit this CD, y’all! I’ono who tha chick was throughout this but I felt like she threw tha vibe off… Either way, this was an excellent release! Y’all luv tha hyped-up production, as well as holdin’ tha streetz of New Orleans down, ya know what I’m sayin’? Good shit; keep it movin’, Sess!

Review #1,614: Ms. Tee "Hot Girl"

Reviewed on 1.28.2017 (Review #1,614)

Tryna keep these reviewz goin’, I have Ms. Tee Hot Girl, up next, released in 1997 on Untouchable Records… Start Time: 12:31 PM | End Time: 3:43 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Intro (Untouchable)” feat. Mike Love
>>> Beat sounds catchy and so do you, with your flow! Gotta dig it… That ending’s excellent wit that accent!! My Rating: 3.8

02. “Get Your Shit”
>>> Nice lil’ bouncin’ track, here… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you holdin’ it down wit your rappin’/flow! Tha hook sounds nice for somethin’ simple, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and you keepin’ this “shit” goin’… As always, diggin’ tha way you deliver tha vocals! My Rating: 3.9

03. “Ain’t No Love Lost”
>>> Beat has a nice lil’ bassline and it sounds nice. However, this kinda boring with its singin’ vibe… I don’t really have anything to say, here… My Rating: 2.6

04. “Making Cash Money (Commercial)” feat. Charlie Hanseen
>>> “Fila Phil,” y’all say? Nice lil’ commercial… Nice singin’ for, what was, tha future… My Rating: N/A

05. “Souldier Boy” feat. Pimp Dogg & Fila Phil
Weird spellin’? Diggin’ tha features, tho! >>> Beat’s ehh…; tha hook’s ehh… Prolly wanna just hear tha features! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and your flow/vocals are definitely catchy! Let’s see if I can have more interest… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it’s a good representation of tha 504 life, here… We got Pimp on tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ so much betta! Definitely feelin’ his aggressive, 504-like rhymin’, here, actin’ “a donkey!” Fila on tha outro? Ain’t get ta hear much of him…? Felt like I got ripped off? An outro’s an outro, not a verse… My Rating: 4.1

06. “Hot Boys (Part 2)”
>>> A bouncy beat, here…; ehh, nothin’ much ta say… Why these tracks gotta be, like, five minutes long? Too long fa me ta handle, at tha moment… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s good for a unique flow. However, it ain’t tight enough for a rap track, fa me… Tha hook samplin’ somethin’, here, which wound up bein’ tha sample for Shaggy & Janet’s “Luv Me, Luv Me” track, which came out two years after… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and you keepin’ it goin’… And, tha 3rd verse, keepin’ it goin’… Shoutin’ out a bunch of New Orleans rappers, here, as this track slowly ends… My Rating: 3.1

07. “Eat My Pussy Hole”
>>> Anotha really long one, about one second less than tha previous one (5:22)… Beat’s ehh, these X-rated lyrics are dope, but I’m just not into this slower vibe, that much… Holy, “Suck me till I bleed;” crazy bitch, right chea!! Fuck tha rest of this for draggin’ so long… Only thang I really like iz tha X-rated shit… My Rating: 2.7

½time: Just because it’s an album, doesn’t mean it has to be so long… A bunch of these tracks drag on for too long and I’m not really tha biggest fan of tha versatile flows… I do like ‘em, at times, but not over tha beats that they’re over… At tha moment, we have a 3.4-rated CD, currently… Gonna nap for two hours and I’ll be back… *Naps at 12:59 PM…* *Returns at 3:04 PM…*

08. “Drug Dealer (Radio Edit)” feat. L.O.G.
No dirty version?? >>> Beat’s plain… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s decent… Once again, this anotha long-ass song for no reason… Tha cryin’-like flow don’t go with this content, in my opinion… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ betta with what you’re bringin’ to tha table, as far as a deeper insight of tha “drug” content… Hearin’ L.O.G. pick up where you left off on tha 2nd verse and he spittin’ some nice, consistent shit. Once again, anotha dude rescuin’ where your decent efforts have left off at… Kinda catchy wit how you singin’ tha outro, here… My Rating: 4.0

09. “I Fucked Your Man”
>>> Again, anotha long one… Catchy wit how you comin’ through wit tha flow and shit, but I’ono how many times I can keep hearin’ different tracks from you, without feelin’ bored… How much have I yawned, already??? My Rating: 2.8

10. “Free Your Mind (6th Ward Style)”
>>> Here we go wit tha longness, again… Anotha bounce track wit more boringness… My Rating: 3.0

11. “Dead Beat Dad”
>>> Wow! It’s four-and-a-half minutes long instead of a full, five minutes long! Smh!! This bounce beat has a nice lil’ G-Funk sound in tha background, so that’s nice… My Rating: 3.2

12. “Been So Long” feat. Fila Phil
>>> Sounds like bitchy cryin’, but in a catchy way? Beat’s a lil’ plain, here, tho… Finally, at 2:01, Fila rappin’, here, soundin’ a lil’ catchy wit his bounce-like vocals… Overall, not tha greatest track but a lil’ better than tha recent ones on here… My Rating: 3.3

13. “That Fire” feat. S.A.C.
>>> Beat ain’t bad, but still a lil’ plain… You went back to tha five-minute tracks with this one… Tha hook’s pretty catchy wit this bein’ about “herb” and shit like dat… Again, I like how you comin’ through wit it… Let’s see if I can keep my interest up… Hearin’ tha S.A.C. Mafia on tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice, here; Sess 4-5? Consistent rappin’; dope! Feels like I need to hear tha male rap, again! This and my previous review were by females… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s soundin’ betta, here! “Gotta make me mad! Gotta make me mad!!” Yeah!! Luv how you sound from 3:09 – 3:16! My Rating: 4.2

14. “Me & You”
>>> A lil’ sappy, but hey, 3:45 on tha length? That’s a better effort!! Beat’s ehh; nothin’ special… Hearin’ you wit tha hook and it’s okay but nothin’ really jumpin’ out at me, here… My Rating: 2.5

15. “Where Dem Hot Niggaz At (Hot Boy Mix)” feat. Lokee
>>> Beat’s whateva; just a lil’ bouncy, here… Of course, had to end wit somethin’ at least five minutes long! Again, anotha rendition of, “Ooh, boy, I love you so. Neva gonna get my hands off you…” Lokee makes a decent appearance on this; not bad… Gotta remember that next month’s his birthday, on February 26! Tha day I do my taxes! Gotta love how you shouted out some dude “Corey” / “Cory” on tha outro, here; that’s my dude—well, that’s my best friend’s name! My Rating: 3.5

Overall: Prolly coulda had a bunch of two-and-a-half-minute, three-minute tracks on here instead of five-and-a-half-minute ones… A lotta these tracks were draggin’… Tha production was a lil’ weak/boring and some of tha exciting features saved it, but were decent, as well… I’ono, there’ll be more of you to offer later on in my marathon, tho…

Rankings:

14.       “Me & You” 2.5

I’m really lookin’ forward ta hearin’ dis and seein’ how it does on a review!!! Start Time: 9:03 AM | End Time: 9:33 AM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Intro – 9th Ward Scar”
Representin’ here!! >>> LOL, you know tha beginning has ta have “muthafucka” and dat gangsta shit dat’s tight!! Sounds pretty gutta, includin’ tha beat and tha Calicoe The Champ-soundin’ shit in tha background! I wonder if Calicoe The Champ was influenced by you? I’ll count this as a song; catchy shit fa a short, “intro” track! LOL, you even said, “Calicoe;” how ironic!! My Rating: 4.5

02. “Ward Bangin’” Feat. Fila Phil
Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ a 5:37-length song from you!! >>> Tha beat sounds pretty focused! ROFL, this sounds like some jammin’-ass shit fa my radio show while it has a gangsta mix, lol; definite plus, L.O.G.!!! Hearin’ tha rhymes you bringin’ to tha table and this shit’s definitely on ‘n’ poppin’!! I’m really feelin’ tha descriptive, gangsta shit you spittin’!! Ooh, Fila Phil was on tha hook and he’s on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some tight-ass shit fa you, too!! Real glad dat two of tha best collaborated on a tight track/CD like dis!!! Tha 3rd verse from you sounds good, too; nothin’ but some gutta shit fa tha streetz!! My Rating: 4.8

03. “Camouflaged Down (Street)”
Seems like tha song I’ve been waitin’ long enough ta hear, even though I played it on my radio show!! Now, lemme hear what it’s like on a review! >>> Dat beginning sounds tight wit dat anticipatin’ beat!! Tha hook sounds nice wit this funky-soundin’ beat and tha A+ gangsta shit!!! “My ride illegal;” crazy-ass L.O.G., here, on tha 1st verse, comin’ through fa err-body dat fucks wit you!! Rhymes are nice and you keep shit on ‘n’ poppin’! Prolly could’ve had a feature ta break your continuous flow up but it’s all good… My Rating: 4.6

04. “Trigga Man”
Gotta hear it!! >>> Tha flow’s good, here; thumbs up fa tha catchiness you’re bringin’ to tha table! Tha hook sounds tight; oh, based off tha Bounce song and its sample, lol! I’m glad you have a gangsta perspective fa dis shit; nothin’ but tight-ass shit you bringin’ to tha table! My Rating: 4.5

05. “Hot Boy Living Off Game” Feat. Ms. Tee & Yada
This looks familiar; I prolly played it on my radio show? >>> Yea, I know this from somewhere but not 100% sure where; I bet I reviewed it somewhere else. Anyway, whether this iz a re-review or a review: tight beat, catchy hook from tha lady, tha rappin’ from tha lady’s nice; good combination of err-thang! My Current Rating: 4.7

06. U.C. & Dead Willie (Commercial)
LOL, how random: a commercial! >>> Thought it would be gangsta than singin’ but it’s good… My Rating: N/A

07. “All For It” Feat. Charlie Hanseen, Dumo & Ms. Tee
Looks like a great collaboration!! >>> Tha beat sounds good wit tha singin’ in tha beginn—damn, startin’ off great wit tha 1st verse!!! Tha rhymes are definitely gutta to tha bone and are consistent as fuck!! Tha hook sounds great; just like a casino: “all for it!” Sounds like it’s you on tha 2nd verse and you’re comin’ through wit your gangsta shit, too! Tha rest of this shit sounds good, too, especially tha gangsta shit afta 3:00; great collaboration!!! My Rating: 4.7

08. “All About Drama”
You know what it iz; L.O.G. ready ta ‘cause “drama”! >>> Tha beat’s pretty nice and spooky as well as tha shit you bringin’ to tha table! Nothin’ but consistent rhymes fa tha hoods, worldwide, as well as tha beat ta keep thangz hot!! Such a great combination dat makes me really like this song betta than tha previous songs, lol! My Rating: 4.8

½time: Definitely dat hot shit, here!!! A 4.7-rated CD, currently; keep tha hot shit comin’ along, bruh!!!!!!!!!!

09. The Just Say No Show (Commercial)
A much-longer commercial? >>> Sounds like a game show theme (“Jeopardy!”), lol? You know I’ve always been good at evadin’ peer-pressure! Could be one of tha most entertainin’ skits on a CD, lol! ROFL, a “wrong” answer! My Rating: N/A

10. “Roll It Up” Feat. Crip & Lil’ Newthy
Looks like a tight-ass song I ‘bout ta expect!! >>> Yes, a weed anthem about “roll it up;” this definitely should be an anthem!!! Really likin’ tha hook and tha Jamaican-soundin’ vocals, mixed wit tha N.O.!!! Tha 1st verse sounds A+ wit tha “blunt” shit and tha gangsta shit; definite plus, here!!! Review #977: Charlie Hanseen "My Enemies"

Reviewed on 6.07.2011 (Review #977)

My 4th review for today goes to Charlie Hanseen “My Enemies; looks like it gon be tight!! Start Time: 10:27 PM | End Time: 10:48 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.
