Review #1,996: DJ Tremon "Trippy Tuesday"

Reviewed on 6.08.2021 (Review #1,996)

As I’m two dayz early with slowly reachin’ my goal, I decided to shift back from tha 2000’s to tha recent/those from years ago. Specifically, I’m talkin’ ‘bout my boy, DJ Tremon & his Trippy Tuesday compilations, courtesy of M.O.B. Entertainment! This release iz from 2015 & I see there’s a bunch of throwback/non-Louisiana shit on here. I’m not 100% sure how I gon feel on each one; we’ll see. Also, if I already reviewed a track in tha past, I’ll just put tha current rating for each. Without further or do, let’s see how great this under-tha-influence-type of compilation gon be…! Start Tyme: 7:13 PM | End Tyme: 8:02 PM

Disclaimer:
I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. Samuel Maurice feat. Young B “Come & Smoke With Me”
>>> Props fa tha “4:20 AM”! As far as this, I ain’t think this was a slow jam; I understand fa 4/20 but to kick off tha set with this slow jam iz a no-no fa me… At least there’s life brought to it with Mr. Young B with tha good, laidback, summer-like feelin’… Still, Samuel doesn’t equal Jodeci! My Rating: 1.6

02. Foxx “Smokin’ Loud”
My Current Rating: 4.4

03. Juicy J “Smoked Out, Dabbed Out”
>>> Thought this was gon be a lot older, like a 2000 throwback or somethin’. Hearin’ this & it sounds like today’s boring flow… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good with tha screwed voice; only way ta get high, basically? Likin’ how he “on a dab!” Good-goin’ with how he comes through fa tha rest of this; not too bad, overall. My Rating: 3.4

04. Lil’ Boosie “For My Thugs”
I only had just reviewed Boosie’s Youngest Of Da Camp, earlier last week. Barely have dived into Boosie’s catalog, since I only made it to tha year 2000 with my old-school reviewz… >>> Gotta feel tha throwback Louisiana sound fa tha Rouge! Great lil’ production & this hook from one of tha greatest! All about celebratin’ & counteractin’ bad vibes! Hearin’ Boosie on tha 1st verse & he sounds excellent ta hold it down fa tha hood, of course; good shit, to tha max! Tha 2nd verse sounds good with how Boosie just owns every situation; good shit…! My Rating: 4.4

05. Mystikal “I Smell Smoke”
>>> Definitely feelin’ his throwback, N’awlinz appearance, here; all about tha “smoke” & tha aggressive flow/voice! Like how he says, “AM turns to PM”; I wish I can make tyme go quick, today, while I’m still tryna find a full-tyme… My Rating: 4.2

06. Colonel Loud feat. Young Dolph & Rico Barrino “California”
I remember this, when I heard it & had it in rotation, back in 2015; Dunkin’, Dunkin’, Dunkin’. Also, it was these tymes, where DJ B Real had me blocked & I slightly had went a lil’ mainstream with my tastes, at tymes. Anyway, feels like I haven’t heard this in a long while; I think I really liked this, att (at tha tyme), due to tha shomkin’ theme & Young Dolph. Always appreciate tha sunny-soundin’ vibes in this, includin’ tha appreciation fa Cali…! My Current Rating: 4.0

07. Lil’ Phat feat. Mouse “Take A Puff”
Only Phat outta tha three of ‘em? *Re-Hears…* Naw, y’all missin’ Mouse on tha feature! Shell woulda been here if only his verse was here… My Current Rating: 4.9

08. Juicy J feat. Rae Sremmurd “Already”
>>> Sounds like whateva when Swae Lee comes through, on tha hook; not really any comment fa this mainstreamness… Hearin’ Juicy come through & this flow’s a lil’ betta than his previous joint on here… My Rating: 3.0

09. Young B feat. Dino Danja, Jaye London, Lil’ Scottie & Dae~Dae “Bars N My Fanta”
My Current Rating: 4.7

10. Dylan Cage feat. Jimi Jump & Jose Guapo “In My System”
>>> Luvin’ how Dylan comin’ through with everythang “in [his] system,” just embracin’ shit; definitely nice, with a decent beat… Hearin’ Dylan on tha 1st verse & it’s cool; diggin’ his consistent street content fa this fucked-up “system.” Also, luvin’ how on tha 2nd hook, Jimi Jump comes through as an ‘80s baby in his 30’s with tha unstoppable “system”; huh bruh…! Always luv his voice on tha mic & tha great vibe of Baton Rouge he brings to tha table; always welcome ta hold it down, Jimi! Ain’t Jose Guapo one of those random rappers from 2015? I remember tha name & thought this collab threw me off with him bein’ featured… Anyway, I (sarcastically) luv how he comes through with these rhymes like he a millionaire; still, a lil’ entertainin’ but I want an all-Louisiana collab! My Rating: 4.3

11. Beatking “Powder”
>>> Beat a lil’ typical-soundin’ with this trap sound; hook sounds a lil’ random with random words bein’ spit… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds okay, I guess…; I like that “kushijuana” combined word, tho! Tha rest of this shit ain’t bad; basically, it’s just rappin’. My Rating: 3.2

12. Wiz Khalifa “Never Been”
>>> Likin’ tha intro from you & DJ Scrap, Tremon; nice shit! Of course, Wiz big about tha shmokin’ & this sounds like a good addition fa this Trippy Tuesdayness. Hearin’ tha hook & it’s like, fuck tha “bankroll” shit; rather it’ve just been nothin’ but high references…! My Rating: 3.7

13. Hey Daem feat. Spitta “Need To Smoke”
>>> Hearin’ that Daem dude on tha 1st verse & iz this a lotta improvement? Remembered how awful he was, back in tha early 2010’s, with watered-down a-tune. Now, he sounds tougher on here but still struggles with a-tune addiction, at tymes, such as on this track. I think I talked too soon about what I was sayin’ with tha 1st verse ‘cause it spilled into tha hook, smfh! Yucky-soundin’ hook! Hearin’ Spitta’s contribution & at least he’s 100% organic with his voice/everythang! Keep spittin’, Spitta! My Rating: 2.2

½tyme: A 3.7-rated release, currently; mainly, most of tha tracks are good/decent, while there are excellent throwbacks & some shitty tracks.

14. Dae~Dae & Dino Danja “The Highway”
My Current Rating: 4.8

15. Juicy J feat. K Camp “One More Drink”
>>> Oh yeah, I remember this; didn’t recognize it, at first; Music Choice Rap… K Camp does a catchy job with tha hook to get a “lil’ bit” fucked up, ya feel me? Also, a good lil’ flow from Juicy, as well; 2015 was definitely a loaded year! This mixtape was released on my late brother’s final birthday; he died 12 dayz later from morphine, xanz & heroin, smh. My Current Rating: 4.1

16. M-16 “Cupps Up”
Producer: EQ Tha Misfit
>>> S/O to EQ Tha Misfit on tha beat; gotta luv tha club vibe! Sounds like a good lil’ hook; all about tha clubs! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & dude got tha energy on lock; props fa keepin’ it movin’ fa Tremon, here! Tha rest of this shit pretty focused & fulla energy; good shit, my dude! My Rating: 4.3

17. Dae~Dae “Get Lifted”
>>> A slower vibe fa Dae, here… Hearin’ him on tha 1st verse & it’s cool with his choice ta 365-like “Get Lifted”; huh bruh…! “I’m loaded, like, 24/7”; glad dude luv tha shmoke! Tha hook sappy with tha singin’ but with this hook, it gets tha props ‘cause tha only lyrics are “high…; get lifted”; that’s all you need! Luv how Dae comes through on tha 2nd verse with tha “you shmokin’ doo-doo” & shit, dude definitely official! Glad I got ta shmoke wit him tha night I met you, on October 13, 2017! Nice lil’ outro from Tremon, as well, takin’ it to “Airline.” My Rating: 4.2

18. Famous “This Blunt”
>>> Dude definitely focused fa “This Blunt”!! Gotta luv how focused & energetic he iz on this hook!! Beat ain’t too bad ta rap on; a lil’ simple but it’s dope with Famous on it! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Famous & he got cool energy; glad he luv to get high!! Tha 2nd verse cool with how he continues this shmoke obsession; good shit! My Rating: 4.5

19. Luniz feat. E-40, Shock G, Richie Richie, Spice 1 & Dru Down “I Got 5 On It (Bay Ballers Remix)”
Not only iz tha file removed, due to it bein’ a mainstream song but I can’t play any bit of it. Wait a second, tho; there’s more mainstream tracks on here. Like, why did this & a few others choose to get removed, instead, due to their copyright bullshit? Anyway, I prolly have heard tha remix b4 but for tha most part, this an okay song; more recognized for tha beat, tho. My Current Rating: 3.1

20. Young B “Where The Tabs At”
My Current Rating: 4.6

21. Z-Ro feat. Lil’ O “I Can’t Leave Drank Alone”
Anotha one removed but I found a way to sample it… >>> Lmao @ tha old beat tag from that “My Dougie” producer. Hearin’ tha hook & luv how Z-Ro real focused with tha “drank” & all that. Hearin’ him on tha 1st verse & I’m real glad throughout all these decades, he still can get fucked up like it’s nothin’. Really luv how he comes through on his verse, includin’ how he “po’d up with DJ Screw fa [his] 22nd birthday,” especially that it was on “Monday” & that he “didn’t wake up till Thursday”; crazy! As far as Lil’ O, hadn’t heard him since 2006 when him & George Floyd’s group, tha S.U.C., was on my playlist with undaground tracks. As far as his verse, it aight; who needs tha “money in my pocket” line, tho… My Rating: 4.4

22. Big Moe “Bar Baby”
From one S.U.C. dude to tha next…! >>> Sounds like a nice lil’ throwback, slow-soundin’ beat fa Big Moe, here; catchy lil’ hook, too. Hearin’ what he got on tha verse & it sounds great/more loaded on tha mic than Z-Ro; too bad his addiction caught up with him. My Rating: 3.5

23. DJ Tremon “WMOB Commercial Break”
>>> Sounds nice; I still haven’t experienced a high through “lean,” yet; we’ll see when that’ll be… My Rating: N/A

24. Dedrick Jamal feat. Hey Daem “Slow Motion”
>>> Cool lil’ beginning; luv when tha BPMs are double tha speed than tha norm, on tha hook! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it ain’t bad from Dedrick, here; sounds like a typical flow with nothin’ really standin’ out, except that double BPM part in tha beat. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s aight; feelin’ how Daem comin’ through on tha double BPM’d part of tha beat! My Rating: 3.6

25. Webbie “Laid Way Back”
Producer: Mouse
Webbie’s Savage Life was tha 1st Louisiana rap album I eva purchased, back on July 6, 2005. I wasn’t even reviewin’ at tha tyme but supported certain artists, at tha tyme. I rememba this one & I rememba how consistent that release was; I was like, “There’s somethin’ special about how consistent all these tracks are…!” Lil’ did I know, it was tha heart of tha Jigga City & Mouse on tha tracks! With this track, you gotta luv tha catchiness of Webbie’s luv fa “high dro” & Mouse’s dope-ass beat sounds! Of course, tha rhymes sound awesome on some of Mouse’s best beats! My Current Rating: 4.4

26. Slim Thug feat. Muggs & Kevin Gates “What You Mean To Me”
>>> An okay slow beat; sounds decent with Slim Thug’s 2015 flow, here; an okay 1st verse but at least he on tha “weed” tip, here… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds like an attempt at Gates bein’ catchy but it’s just a sappy-soundin’, slow-soundin’ hook… Hearin’ tha Muggs dude on tha 2nd verse & he str8; I like how he focused fa tha “weed,” in tha end. Even room fa Gates ta have a 3rd verse, here…; glad he ain’t singin’. His 2015 rappin’ decent but I’m glad it earned success wit me, thanx to tracks like “I Don’t Get Tired” & his collab with Chedda Da Connect. My Rating: 3.3

27. Symore Banks “2 Good 2 Quited”
>>> Lol, ain’t no what to expect, here, except I had thought tha title looked like Sauce Walka’s; now, I know why. I’ono about this chick jackin’ tha Sauce beat but I guess it’s good fa tha “pussy.” But Tremon, I’ono if I would consider it a “drug,” yet, tha “strongest” one… Hearin’ what she comin’ through on tha verse & she sounds like a lesbian? Into tha “clit,” here? Sounds interestin’, even tho it ain’t that great of a track fa me… My Rating: 2.1

Overall: I wonder how Trippy Tuesday 2 gon go, when I review it? I’m glad I got tha chance ta review this one b4 my 2,000th review mark. With that bein’ said, keep tha Trippy Tuesday up; it’ll get betta!

Review #1,498: Dino Danja & Dae~Dae "Scales, Bales & Sales (Hosted by DJ Tremon)"

Reviewed on 5.16.2016 (Review #1,498)

Can’t believe it’s been 3 months & 11 dayz since I last reviewed a Louisiana CD! I’ve been reviewin’ Promo Only’s Promo Only: Dance Radio editions each month, still, so I haven’t been reviewless. It’s just, since that last Louisiana review (Kevin Gates Islah), we’ve been really short-handed and I’ve been workin’ my ass off at tha front counter by myself, every day, for three months straight! It’s been brutal hell, I tell ya!! Haven’t had much energy & time for shit, even down to lil’ NY trips! But, now, this could be a lil’ bit of a shakeback… Got a brand new CD out now, WFTLD Newz, so I’m feelin’ great in some areas! But now, time fa a Louisiana review—yay, lol! Released on August 4, 2015, it’s Dino Danja & Dae~Dae, from Baton Rouge, Scales, Bales & Sales (Hosted by DJ Tremon), brought to you by Danja Zone Muzik & Ya Own 2 Entertainment! Wonder how Dae~Dae’s doin’? Funny to know that tha last time I talked to him was last year, on June 15! It was when I shmoked heavy with this chick I worked with, who’s 48! He was like, “Did you suck her off good?” ROFL, Dae~Dae! For shmokin’ purposes only, lol! Naw, we good friends! Also, since then, some “Dae Dae” without tha symbol has come outta Georgia with that “Wat U Mean” song that I’m kinda feelin’. However, I don’t like that he jacked Dae~Dae’s name!! But yeah, let’s get into this! Start Time: 4:55 PM | End Time: 5:57 PM

Produced by Trell It’s A Hit (lol/smh @ tha full name?); let’s see… >>> Wow, I thought it was “Nitro” (‘cause of tha back cover) but it’s just an “Intro”! Nice beginning from DJ Tremon, here, and wow, really diggin’ this ‘90s/old-soundin’ hip-hop beat fa tha BR! Wow, fuckin’ lovin’ tha return of Dae~Dae on tha 1st verse, here! Oh, man, as I’m almost 28, listenin’ to this makes me feel like I’m tha 16 year-old and Dae~Dae’s tha 28 year-old, even though we’re really only six years apart, lol! No wonder why I look up ta him!! Excellent verse, strictly grindin’ ova this heat—tha beat!! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice from Danja, here! Oh, just diggin’ this beat so much!! “In and outta state, thug!” Shit yea! Gotta luv tha southern vibe at all times! Don’t think PA’ll eva understand “bet,” yet, lol… My Rating: 4.7

02. “You Can’t Relate”
Actually, funny, but as of January 20, 2015, I can “relate,” in a way! Shocking?! >>> Almost sounds like DJ Wookee in tha beginning, but it’s DJ Tremon. Oh, just diggin’ this evolved Dae~Dae voice!! Diggin’ tha shit on tha verse, here; luvin’ tha drug content and street content, ya dig?! Luv how he says, “doe doe,” when I think of Doe-Doe from Baton Rouge, hence, January 20’s Doe-Doe’s birthday! Too bad I can’t get away from tha “fake” from my job, since they keep complainin’, “I know Frankie hates me!” It’s like, c’mon! If you weren’t such a fuck-up, you would succeed, rather than get hated on! But yeah, nice hook, too… Danja on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit them livin’-life rhymes… “Sometimes, I wanna quit;” right? Tried to put my two weeks in tha other day but they denied it! So, when Doe-Doe and them ain’t all motivated for tha music, quitting ain’t an option!! My Rating: 4.4

03. “Million-Dollar Honda”
X-Fyle doin’ tha beat—feels great to write some of this ‘cause it’s been a long while since a review, it seems like! Let’s hear it! >>> Hearin’ tha beginning and it sounds hot! I swear, hearin’ these kinda Baton Rouge-soundin’ songs in this work world I’m in, now, I feel like two completely different worlds are connectin’ in a weird, but unique way!!! Oh, I’d prolly luv this if I was high, right now! Definitely diggin’ tha catchy hook, here! Fuck yeah, Dae~Dae on tha 1st verse, comin’ through like tha icon he iz!! Like, time flies? Been knowin’ Dae~Dae since seven years ago, this month, when he gave me Yung Yola’s jail address. Since then, everythang I heard from him has been aces!! And, around these youngins, tha way I dress and act, I’m their Dae~Dae, ya dig? Here comes Dino on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit dat good shit… Yeah, definitely some great music fa this kinda time… Too bad I’m gettin’ to it kinda late, but then again, especially since there’s not much noise in tha undaground right now, timing don’t really matter, at tha moment… My Rating: 4.5

04. “Who I Do It 4”
Trell It’s A Hit providin’ tha beat, here… And, y’all must “do it 4” me! >>> Oh, yea, definitely anticipatin’ this beat start! Bringin’ back tha anticipatin’ vibes of Louisiana, lol?! Nice wit “who” y’all “make music 4!” Really goin’ off on tha 1st verse, Dae~Dae!! My God, I’ve always loved what you’ve brought to tha table, but I’ve neva embraced it in a major way!! I think I oughta “do” dat!! I’m sendin’ you a copy of my new album but I’m writin’ you, too, since I have no idea how ta get a hold of you, these dayz… After all that excitement, here comes Dino on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit tha good street shit ta top this off… So glad Dino anotha one that neva age! Hope he doin’ this in his 50’s!! Or, like tha lady that’s been at my job for 29 years, hope Danja doin’ this when he close to 70!! My Rating: 4.6

05. “What Is You Doing??”
LOL, gotta feel tha title but no producer? “What Is [Y’all] Doing??,” lol? >>> At least it ain’t a jacked beat; as long as it online or somethin’, it all good… Here comes King Dae~Dae on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit dat dumb shit! Oh wait, aimin’ at tha ones with tha “wrong decision,” I see, here? Okay, when they “blowin’ money on drugs and an outfit;” I dig dat. When you have dat good money, you get your CDs pressed up! Also, you travel and blow like a ma’fucka, ya feel me?! Nice job on tha 1st verse and, holy shit, really diggin’ how Dae~Dae soundin’ on tha hook wit tha emotion, lol! Nice how Danja comes through answerin’ what Dae~Dae asks, lol! Nice job wit tha 2nd verse, Danja; always connectin’ where Dae~Dae leaves off… And, a long outro with 34 seconds of silence; hmm… My Rating: 4.5

06. “Clientelle”
Speaker Knockerz doin’ tha track, here; let’s get it! >>> “Shout out to my shmokers;” fuckin’ right! “I can get you what you want, bro…;” whether “bro” or “bruh,” you still sound great wit it, Dae! You right about those “‘90s babies” wit how they “post they shit on Instagram and get slammed!” Then again, I ain’t been ashamed of expressin’ how much I luv weed, these dayz, lol. Good shit, Dae! Luv hearin’ your evolved voice; you’ve always been tha shit! Nice job wit tha hook, soundin’ like “Make Tha Trap Say Aye”, lol. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse wit Danja and his “Clientelle;” luv all tha weights! My Rating: 4.3

07. “Everybody” feat. Lucky Starr
Hmm… No producer, but a Lucky one, here… >>> Ain’t realize tha feature was gon be a female (or young male, lol?); they sound nice on tha hook, though. Here comes tha 1st verse from Danja, this time? Ooh, gets me even more anticipated for Dae~Dae!! Diggin’ tha “ain’t stuntin’ fa tha Gram” shit; I feel dat. This shit sounds nice fa tha south, strictly mobbin’! Even got tha Starr on tha 2nd verse, here, as it’s like a Yo Gotti sequel to “Errbody”… Not bad; an okay collaboration… And, here’s King Dae~Dae on tha 3rd verse, “catch a round, hold it down wit ya rounds;” fuckin’ love him!! Gotta luv livin’ tha life of a celeb!! Remember, Dae~Dae, you a celebrity!!! My Rating: 4.0

08. “Stopped Dat Jiggin’”
Don’t make me feel old!! That’s one thing I’ve been sufferin’ from: age anxiety!! Am I really tha same age Dae~Dae was when “Jock My Shoe Game” came out with Supa? I’ll be 28 next month; ahh!! It’s an honor, at times, but where in tha fuck did tha time go?! Don’t worry ‘cause “dat jiggin’” always lives on!! No producer listed… >>> Oh, I see; an ex-“pill” popper, here; I see… Still, a nice hook. I almost thought there was gonna be an opportunity fa pillz at one time, fa me, but since my brother died of an overdose, I don’t think there’s a chance. I’ll just stick to weed & edibles… Speakin’ of, here’s Dae~Dae wit dem “smoke clouds” on tha 1st verse, comin’ through like a V.I.P.! Fuckin’ love tha vibe he bringin’ to tha table, here! Trust me! That 48-year-old that I be hangin’ with, her boyfriend’s dad’s house, when I’m there, I feel like a million-dollar celeb!! Here comes Danja on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some good lines and catchy rhymes, here; good shit! My Rating: 4.3

½time: Definitely feelin’ this CD a whole lot! Even Danja ain’t know your info, Dae, when I asked him, recently. Still, I’m sure I’ll hear from Dae soon… But, excellent rhymes and excellent vibes, here! Gotta luv this! A 4.4-rated CD, currently; y’all keep it comin’!!

09. “Sum Mo”
Trell It’s A Hit prolly provided a hit, here… >>> FUCK YEAH!!! Fuckin’ love tha Dae~Dae hook, here; really slammin’ down tha catchiness!!! Definitely diggin’ tha 1st verse from Dae, too! What a fuckin’ champ!! No wonder why I’m inspired by him, like tha rest of my idols!! Definitely see this bein’ my favorite track off this CD, no doubt!! And, here comes Danja on tha 2nd verse, goin’ off on this beat wit dem good drugs! Funny how I don’t mind tha “money” shit, most of tha time, here, on this CD; tha vibe sets it off! Beat sounds like it has some classic Baton Rouge vibes in it, like we was in 2008!! My Rating: 4.8

10. “My Niggaz”
What could it be like? No producer listed… >>> This one sounds nice; good shit on tha hook, Dae~Dae! You’ve always been a serious dude when it comes ta err-thang! “My niggaz answer my phone.” I tried googlin’ your name/location and a number came up. I tried textin’ it but I ain’t hear anything back from it…; must be expired? Hope you get my package when it arrives… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds nice; luv how you’ve been inspired! And, I luv how I’ve been inspired by you! Imagine me comin’ through PA wit tha kinda clothes you wear and how you act? They wouldn’t know what ta do!! They would just luv it!! You really holdin’ down tha hook; gotta luv it!! Sounds like Danja gave a shout out ta “Doe-Doe” on tha 2nd verse, here? If so, make sure you get dat boy back in tha music biz!! Dude ain’t serious about it, anymore, and after I was high/a lil’ on dat drank and messaged him that I was inspired by him, he said, “Your message might make me get back in tha biz… Even if I do it one more time, I’ll do it for you!” Hope it happens! Good shit, Danja! My Rating: 4.5

11. “She Looking” feat. Tha G.T.
A random thought: I was FrankieThaLuckyDog and now, thanx to Percy Keith for tha name, I’m now “Frank Calhoune!” Trell It’s A Hit on tha beat! >>> Definitely anticipatin’ tha beat, here! He must be inspired by them B-Reals, them Q-Reds, them $hop With Kens, them Mouses, them Savages, ya know? Sounds like it in tha beat… Ooh, starts wit Danja, so I can be even more anticipated fa Dae~Dae! Sounds nice; lol @ tha “thots.” Good shit ta vibe off of… And, got G.T. on tha hook, comin’ through wit dat good shit! Kinda sounds a lil’ more mainstream than usual fa him on tha hook but you know this shit still goes off… And, even got G.T. on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit dat grown consistency! We all gotta keep this goin’ at all times! OMG, can’t wait fa tha Dae~Dae verse!! Imagine if I was fulla dat shit?! Luv how I’m smilin’ like I’m anticipatin’ Louisiana music at 20 years-old, lol! Luv how he always stays focused! Yup, “J’s;” dude been always ‘bout lookin’ sharp!! Can’t wait ta meet him, one day! Did tha damn thang off this beat!! My Rating: 4.4

12. “Hit The Highway”
What I luv doin’, though no producer listed… >>> A deeper voice fa Dae, here? Sounds like ‘90s rap, here, and I’m diggin’ it, especially him rappin’ ‘bout “purp!” Can we shmoke, like, six bowls like when I did with that 48-year-old, Dae~Dae, lol? Gotta luv how he luvs ta “get fucked up;” who doesn’t?! Great obsession wit “purple,” too; I must luv green, lol! Imagine hearin’ this off a geeb (gravity bong) hit?! Sounds like it’s neva endin’!! OMG, so many Dae~Dae bars; more than 16!!! Almost sounds like he remakin’ notes or somethin’ on tha hook, but I’m fuckin’ luvin’ it!! Was thinkin’ ‘bout tha old BluBlack music from ’08, earlier today, like, “We’ll prolly neva duplicate this feeling.” However, this a pretty-close chance!! I still got tha passion somewhere!! Here comes Danja on tha 2nd verse, rappin’ a lot about himself and his “Danja Muzik,” here; not bad, but I felt Dae’s catchiness and “purp” obsession much betta, lol! Just luvin’ that hook; makes me feel like a boss fa almost 28!! Close to a top-rated?! My Rating: 4.8

13. “Fallin’ In Love”
Hmm…; no producer listed… >>> Beginning sounds like bein’ lost in tha zone… Tha both of y’all sound nice on tha hook; gotta expose dem hoes! Good shit from Dae on tha 1st verse, here, comin’ through wit how he controls tha “dick,” lol. And, here’s Danja, meetin’ ‘em “on dat Gram.” Yup, tha “Gram” has brought some of us together… For me, not really Louisiana artists, but urban explorers! Yup, gotta luv exploring abandoned areas! My Rating: 3.9

14. “Stacking N Flipping” feat. G-Money
Thought it was a producer on tha ID, but it’s not; not sure what to expect… >>> Sounds pretty nice fa this beat and tha hook sounds nice wit Dae~Dae on it; nice…, jammin’… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it must be this G-Money dude; pretty nice fa a “Money” name… Good shit wit an energetic voice fa tha south! Ooh, here comes my boy, Dae~Dae, on tha 2nd verse! Nice job rappin’ on this beat! Always soundin’ like someone you can look up to, whether he underground or not! Like, what was that “Wat U Mean” “Dae Dae” (no symbol) from Georgia thinkin’ with tha name? On tha video, I left a comment on there, sayin’, “He took his name from tha Dae~Dae (with symbol) from Baton Rouge!” They prolly will hate on it, but guess what? It’s true! Here comes Danja on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit some good shit, as always… “Been doin’ it since tha ‘90s;” good, even though I ain’t got no music from then from Danja! Not sure if any exists? My Rating: 4.2

15. “Anything Can Happen”
True dat, though I’m fearless now, since my brother died! No producer listed… >>> Definitely a nice beat, here! Oh, Dae~Dae got tha voice of an undaground God!! Wonder what he thought of his voice when he first heard it, lol?!? Hearin’ Danja on tha 1st verse and it sounds pretty catchy ova this beat… Oh, just tha way this sounds, it sounds like when rappers like Doe-Doe started rappin’ in tha mid 2000’s! Oh, mane, here comes Dae~Dae on tha 2nd verse! Honestly, I wanted to give my job up to get back to tha consistency I used to bring to tha table! I was neva meant to be a full-on workaholic, but it turned that way, thanx to DJ B-Real blockin’ me! Great shit, Dae, as always!! My Rating: 4.4

16. “N The Condo”
No producer… >>> Different-soundin’ beat wit heavy bass, here… A faster-rappin’ Dae~Dae on tha 1st verse, here… Kinda sounds different but I’m diggin’ this hook; ahh, that word! “Order!” Ahh! That word, “manager,” “donut,” “work,” “overtime,” etc.; those words!! Here comes Dae with that speed on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit dat good shit, still… Here’s Dae…n…ja, lol, on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit a lil’ faster sound, but still some nice rhymes… My Rating: 4.1

17. “Make It Home”
Nice title to end it, though no producer listed… >>> Neva really fucked wit tha songs wit tha sampled voices in tha background, but I’m diggin’ this start… “Tryna make it past 100 Gs;” can I make it happen fa you, Dae? I promise you, you will achieve it before you die!! Baleedat!!! If you eva need anything, I’m here, bruh! Good shit you spittin’ ova this beat, Dae! And, here comes tha Danja’d one on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some nice shit ta hold thangz down! Diggin’ how it slowed down at 2:44! Nice lil’ effect ta end this shit off! Definitely feelin’ this, surprisingly! My Rating: 4.5

Overall: What an excellent CD/collaboration project and return to my Louisiana reviewz!! Really felt what y’all brought to tha table, especially tha beats y’all chose!! Excellent vibes; gotta feel like a big-time celebrity!! Keep doin’ tha damn thang and Dae~Dae, get back in tha spotlight so you can show “Dae Dae” (no symbol) who’s boss!!!

Review #1,410: Bubba "Perfect Timing"

Reviewed on 7.03.2014 (Review #1,410)

FrankieThaLuckyDog here, finna review my boy, from Big Stacks Entertainment: Bubba Perfect Timing! Almost perfect timing wit me, as I’m only a day off from reviewin’ this, even while consistently workin’. That’s how much luv I got for Bubba, priority-wise! It’s thunderin’, at tha moment; hope it don’t cut me off! I’m lookin’ forward ta hearin’ what he got, here! No time or thought of doin’ any other reviews, so Bubba, you lucky, right now! Start Time: 4:16 PM | End Time: 4:52 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by two artists who claimed their “money [was] long,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

01. “Real Rap”
Production from Mod Productions, here, kickin’ it off… I have to say, you have tha voice ta pull off “real rap,” not like everyone else’s boring asses… >>> Nice beat start; I can appreciate it and anticipate you… Kinda gives me dat “Polo Everything” feeling! And, here you are on tha hook wit da hook; definitely catchy! Always luv your voice, on tha tracks; good shit! And, “tha mo money you make, tha mo niggaz gon hate;” I can agree, now! Now that I’m workin’, I don’t even, like, hear from any Louisiana niggaz, anymore. It’s like, damn, thought makin’ “mo money” would give me “mo” options ta help niggaz out? Guess not! Good shit on tha 1st verse; very consistent!! Really feelin’ how you spittin’ “flames,” fa tha 225! Wow, only one verse, here? Felt like I got teased, like eatin’ only ¼ of a donut, lol! My Rating: 4.7

02. “Retarted” Feat. Max Minelli
Glad you continuin’ to push it more, now that tha music video dropped, not too long ago. When you come on in my head, at work, I feel like I’m tha glowing, cool person at work. When other Louisiana artists come on in my head, at work, it’s to defend me from gettin’ yelled at. So, while they suffer, you’re winnin’! My Current Rating: 4.8

03. “My Testimony”
EQ doin’ anotha beat, back-to-back… >>> Nice lil’ beat start, here; I know this gon be good, too! Nice start to tha 1st verse, too, strictly grindin’! Tha hook’s real catchy, fa just repeatin’ tha title! Of course, gotta luv ya! Here’s tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit mo shit! I hope you get some promo from me, such as a commercial or some shit, since you all about yo “money!” Because of work, I don’t be approachin’ many, which has makin’ my sales real low, but I hope you pull through and show these niggaz you worth more than them, literally! Great job on tha 2nd verse, too, by tha way! My Rating: 4.5

04. “To The Roof”
Production from Austin Rashaad, here; now, everyone knows that producer, outta nowhere… I think I first knew about him in ’09… >>> Ooh @ tha beat start; definitely catchy! You can tell it’s someone different when you hear certain sounds, like this! Nice club banga; feelin’ tha hook, even wit tha “throwin’ money” shit! Diggin’ tha “fucked up” shit, too; gotta luv tha feelin’ of bein’ high, too! You turnin’ 30 later this year. I really hope you don’t feel aged, or feel like retirin’! Literally, most of these niggaz from Louisiana I deal wit, it’s like, 30’s tha new 65; they feel like they too old! There’s a chick at my job that’s 33; I thought she was 18 or somethin’! She a real great chick; I always feel like I’m 19, by tha way! So, we on tha East Coast always feel like we’re young! Anyway, nice job wit tha 1st verse, holdin’ tha clubz down! Tha 2nd verse sounds consistent, too! Oh, I wanna see them “big face hunnids,” Bubba! Speakin’ of “hunnid,” I said, “Hunnid,” at work, today, and my co-worker had no idea what I said, lol! It’s like, “one-hundred,” lol! Well, that one chick that’s 33 knew what I meant when I said, “Keep it 100,” at least! New York-representin’!! My Rating: 4.4

05. “My Trust Fucked Up” Feat. Racked-Up Ready
LOL, name change, stayin’ updated! My Current Rating: 4.8

06. “Don’t Step On My Js (Jordans)”
This looks like it gon be tha next big song from you; really anticipatin’ it, with EQ on tha beat! >>> Sounds like one of them classic-soundin’ Down Bad jointz wit tha intro, wit tha “watch my feet!” Not bad for tha 1st ½ of tha hook; gets catchy wit tha 2nd ½ of tha hook. Oh, I’m finally wearin’ tha shoes (Levi’s) I bought from March 2013, $15 each, I think, lol! You know how I do; they look nice! Burlington Coat Factory style… Tha 1st verse sounds great; diggin’ your “different sneaker everyday,” ya dig? That’s what’s up! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, too; lol @ your “daughters” wearin’ dem “Js,” too! And, nice “Retarted” reference, too! It’s a nice way to recycle that line, even though I think it’s cheesy to always recycle shit. Nice “Throwback Thursday” line, too—it’s today, lol! My Rating: 4.5

07. “Bet Dat” Feat. King Sav
My Current Rating: 4.6

08. “Act For A Stack”
Not anticipated for “stack”-like titles, but I’m in tha mood, here, wit EQ on tha beat! >>> Kinda gives me a similar vibe from tha “J’s” joint! I wouldn’t tolerate this if this was someone else, but your voice and tha beat make it sound innocent, so I’m feelin’ it. Tha hook sounds catchy, so you got it on lock wit dem “10 big face hunnids!” Tha 1st verse sounds pretty good, here; jammin’ and consistent… You and your “ten-and-a-half-inches,” I see? Really chokin’ dem females, lol! Tha 2nd verse sounds good; you even “ooh child’d” like Rich Homie Quan did, recently, on H-Town’s Propain’s “2 Rounds”! Consistent shit throughout tha 2nd verse; can’t deny how you comin’ through, here! My Rating: 4.4

½time: Of course, nothin’ like some super-consistent, Baton Rouge music, here! Always luv how you come through, and even on my lowest self-esteem times with Louisiana, you can still pull somethin’ off! A 4.6-rated CD, currently!! Good shit; really diggin’ your constant consistency!!

09. “Like It’s Legal” Feat. Spitta & C-Loc
Let’s see, here, wit Nunu (a grandpa? LOL, just playin’!) on tha beat! >>> This sounds tha most undaground wit tha way it sounds, outta all tha songs, on here. Feelin’ tha beat, includin’ tha hook wit all this anticipated-legalness! Tha 1st verse iz Loc, here, comin’ through wit regular rhymes… Here’s a pre-arrested Spitta on tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit catchier rhymes, instantly in your “throat!” Nice “trapatory” line, Spitta! He not stoppin’, here! However, “7th floor,” huh? Well, Spitta, go on top of tha abandoned Kings Park Psychiatric Center, in Building 7: It’s 12 stories, and on tha 12th story was where I got high, fa tha 1st time! Also, Building 93; it’s 13 stories! And, he even said that he belongs “in a mention institution?” Well, then, fly up here and explore tha abandoned KPPC!!
See, Spitta? Now, afta tha long 1st verse, we got my boy, Bubba, on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit a lotta consistent rhymes, non-stop! Damn, ended outta nowhere; you went in, Bubba!! My Rating: 4.5

10. “Deal Wit Cha”
Looks like it gon be a great song fa tha females… Mod on tha beat, here… >>> Almost didn’t think that was you on tha 1st verse; sounds a lil’ different, but this beat sounds nice. It almost sounds like it hints tha ‘90s gangsta rap, or somethin’; good job, Mod, and Bubb, fa comin’ through wit some good shit! Tha hook sounds catchy; I luv how you keep drillin’, “Have you eva been fucked by a real nigga,” constantly, on tha hook! Nice job wit tha 2nd verse, too; keep it comin’, Bubb, or should I say, cumin’, fa this track, on dem hoes, lol! My Rating: 4.3

11. “3 AM” Feat. Tatty
Same, here! Austin doin’ tha beat, and I bet this an R&B dude on tha feature, since I neva heard of him… >>> Yea, same kinda song, though tha other one sounded a lil’ catchier? Either way, this pretty good, too, wit tha hook… LOL, non-stop fuckin’ wit Bubba, between these songs! Oh God, you and “Ashley” on tha 1st verse, here; don’t you luv dem Ashleys, lol? Even you’re connected wit ‘em; you can’t escape ‘em! Not too bad wit tha 1st verse; it’s cool… Oh, completely fooled wit what I thought tha feature was gon be, as it’s a female rappin’ on tha 2nd verse! She sounds like tha cool chick ta hang out wit, just like tha chick I mentioned in this review! She did a nice job helpin’ you out; did you “fuck” her, by tha way? LOL, just sayin’, just ‘cause it sounds like tha perfect chick fa tha 225! My Rating: 4.0

12. “Slow Yo Roll”
Mod Productions helpin’ you out, again! >>> Kinda sounds like it gon be a lil’ sad, or somethin’, based off tha beginning; hope it hangs in there… Damn, when you said, “Kevin Foster,” I think, I thought you was talkin’ about rapper, Kevin F; crazy thoughts… Tha 1st verse wasn’t too bad, but surprisingly, I’m feelin’ tha hook, a lil’ bit. Speakin’ of “lost,” just last Thursday, we lost Disco, of tha Flippa Boyz! His birthday this Sunday, and I got a tribute video comin’ about him, soon! It only gon be six minutes long, but it’s worth it, fa those that knew him! And, tha 2nd verse’s good, too. Though I had confusing anticipation, in tha beginning, at least this wasn’t too long. I hate when questionable songs are, like, five minutes long! My Rating: 4.1

13. “Come & Go” Feat. Slim Cal
Let’s see, here… EQ on tha beat. >>> Catchy shit, here; didn’t even realize a new rapper was on tha feature, too! Oh, this gon be good! Catchy hook and beat; you got shit on lock, for tha 13th time!! Just luv how consistent you are wit rappin’, here! One of tha coolest, catchiest voices of tha Baton Rouge area; B-U-B-B-A—B.U.B.B.A.—Bubba!!! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good, here, as well; keep shit on-n-poppin’, Bubb!! Wow, what am I doin’? I was just about ta rate it and I realized I ain’t hear tha new Slim dude, yet! Hearin’ him on tha 3rd verse and it sounds like some nice shit, fa tha area Bubb lives in, in tha 225! I like dat “bet, nigga, 10-4,” as well as how he comin’ through, wit his style! Even when he says, “Shit, no!” Great shit; I can tell he born before ’88; gotta respect those that are older than me! Hope we do business in tha future, though my tolerance level so low, to where it gotta be ‘bout serious bidness! I definitely felt what he brought to tha table, though, as a cool-as-fuck, Baton Rouge-like rapper!! My Rating: 4.6

14. “Like A Jungle”
Yerp, yerp… My Current Rating: 4.7

15. “Characters” Feat. Dino Danja & 31st Deedy
Whoot, whoot! My Current Rating: 4.6

16. “Momma Always Told Me (Remix)” Feat. Dat Boy A & 38 Slimm
Oh, lol, who knows what lies behind this door? I feel like this:
I feel like I’m randomly explorin’ tha abandoned Kings Park Psychiatric Center, not knowin’ what’s behind this, lol! Gotta luv tha fun; here we go! >>> “Bubba!!” Oh, fuck, forget explorin’, right now ‘cause I know what this iz! Damn, it would’ve been nice if it was a new, unreleased joint! My Current Rating: 4.3

Overall: Well, Bubb, I definitely was diggin’ this joint, right chea!! Like I said, despite how DJ B-Real completely ruined my Louisiana passion, and made me realize that makin’ money/gettin’ a job/self-centered-focusing on myself’s more important, I pulled through to really like this CD! Keep up tha great work; you got a winner on ya hands!! And, importantly: I hope you do some services wit me and get promoted, nicely!
