Review #1,347: Lil' Buck "A Mill B4 The Deal"

Reviewed on 12.06.2013 (Review #1,347)

Next up, I finna review Ruff-N-Rugged Entertainment’s Lil’ Buck A Mill B4 The Deal. Whether I like this or not, this CD seems like a complete waste to me, as it was released a lot earlier in tha year, and I wasn’t even notified, smh. What a complete flop (as far as promotion) from tha Do Da Fool one! Start Time: 5:52 PM | End Time: 6:29 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

01. “3D” Feat. Young Soulja
Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this, includin’ J Mil bein’ on tha beat! >>> Sounds cool. Tha beat almost has a Rick Ross-like feel, but wit that Baton Rouge-soundin’ quality! [[[“3D!!!”]]] Nice hook! You sound good on tha 1st verse, here; nice shit! Feelin’ how you comin’ thru on tha 1st verse, feelin’ “3D” at your finest! Here’s Young Soulja on tha 2nd verse, “Live and correct like TV!” Almost sounds like your cousin wit how he comin’ through wit his voice, here… Here you are on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit rhymes that make you feel “good,” as far as your status. I’m still waitin’ ta hear from you—neva talked ta you, yet… My Rating: 4.2

02. “Nyte Lyfe”
HeartBeatz beat! >>> This sounds nice; I like how “they wildin’ on them Mollies!” You sound good on tha 1st verse, here; this that quality music fa tha 225! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, too; can’t complain wit tha quality you’re bringin’ to tha table! SMH @ 2:27 – 2:33; no need for gay-soundin’ vocals!! I shouldn’t’ve opened my mouth about not complainin’ ‘cause I just complained wit dat random a-tune part! My Rating: 4.3

03. “Turn Up”
J Buc beat! >>> Ooh, a bunny hoppin’ on tha beat start; gotta luv tha ideas J Buc comes wit!! Of course, it sounds great, here!! Tha hook’s just some regular party shit, but J Buc’s bunny-hoppin’ beat’s unique and adds excitement to tha track!! Here you are on tha 1st verse, with no “water” needed! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; definitely feelin’ it!! My Rating: 4.6

04. “One Thousand”
HeartBeatz on tha track! >>> Sounds like a good start, here… Why I ain’t get a “shout out”? I feel like I don’t have value wit Louisiana rappers, anymore… :/ I’m likin’ how tha hook sounds on tha hook; good shit! Then again, I can’t relate to these jointz ‘cause I don’t know what a ‘friend’ iz, most of tha time! Kinda like wit how I was promotin’ you, it’s like, most people don’t last more than three years wit me—most only have their ‘year.’ Like, I was offered to make two commercials for you and shit, and then, everything went quiet, outta nowhere. Like, I hope I make a commercial fa this CD; it shouldn’t go to waste!! This was also tha year for artists born in 1984, too, so it’s real ironic that you were quiet, this year! Nice 2nd verse, too, here… LOL @ “without my niggaz, I ain’t shit.” I think “without” people, I’m stronger and better than eva! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Built Like A Horse”
Lil’ P on tha beat… >>> This sounds good; interestin’ title fa tha hoes! Tha 1st verse sounds like you gettin’ it in; nice! I like how you’re referrin’ ta sex as your “dinner” and its “plate” on tha 2nd verse; good shit! My Rating: 4.4

½time: Great CD, so far; no filler!! A 4.4 for tha CD rating, currently!

06. “The Game” Feat. Hollowtip
X Files on tha beat? I assume that’s different from X-Fyle? >>> SMH @ tha error; it iz X-Fyle! Beat sounds nice and gangsta; nice hook, too! Good shit from you on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit dat gangsta shit! I like tha “rat … violent” part! Nice sound from Hollowtip on tha 2nd verse, here! This statistically iz his debuting verse, as this would’ve been tha 1st verse I would’ve heard from him. However, I got his CD, Back At It: The Mixtape Vol. 1, from him, before I could find this—matta fact, I found this CD ‘cause of discoverin’ Hollowtip, I think? Anyway, great Ruff-N-Rugged fam collab! My Rating: 4.4

07. “I’m On It” Feat. Hollowtip
HeartBeatz breathin’ life into tha track, once again! >>> This beat sounds nice, too! Shout out ta Hollowtip on tha intro! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some consistent fiya! Tha hook sounds nice, too! “Dat dumb shit, I’m on it…!” Yes, some Hollowtip on tha 2nd verse, wit “dat fruity in tha blunt!” I like tha “broke my navigation, I say, ‘Fuck it, I gon make a route,’” part! Good shit, Hollowtip! My Rating: 4.5

08. “What Kinda Life” Feat. Young Soulja
J Mil doin’ tha track, this time… >>> I like how tha beat sounds like it’s in tha background, here! Also, you sound great on tha hook, minus tha weird voice (“and, this shit’ll never change”—smh @ tha whiteboy “never” and not neva), that was in there! Got Young Soulja on tha 1st verse, here, comin’ through wit good rhymes. He sounded better on Hollowtip’s CD, but at least there’s no wack vibes, here! Here’s Buck on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, reportin’ tha news that’s fucked up in BR; great lyrics fa tha streetz! My Rating: 4.3

09. “Place Ya Order”
Looks like tha “order” iz a HeartBeatz track! >>> I like tha intro. Also, I like when people say, “Bet,” at tha end of a conversation. It’s like, it looks interestin’ in messaging, but it bein’ said sounds harder ta brainstorm, and sounds more interestin’! Nice hook on this beat, too; thumbs up fa providin’ this “order” fa tha fiends! Also, good shit on tha 1st verse; definitely feelin’ your rhymes, here!! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; gotta feel what you sayin’! And yea, I can see so many who turn “pussy!” I’m dealin’ wit dat shit as we speak! My Rating: 4.4

10. “Nintendo”
Nice way ta end this with a J Mil beat; lookin’ forward ta hearin’!! >>> Wow @ tha beat start ta end thangz off!!! LOL @ tha hook; definitely feelin’ it!! This could easily be tha best joint on here!! Yea, “I play this shit like a game; who want next? Nintendo (Nintendo), Nintendo (Nintendo)!” Whoo, you know I luv these kinda lyrics, too!! Tha 1st verse goin’ hard, like a level in a video game, lol! Speakin’ of “Super Nintendo,” I’m playin’ Secret of Mana for “Super Nintendo,” as we speak! Yea, I be playin’ #TBT video games when I be doin’ these reviewz, ya feel me? Tha 2nd verse’s nice, too! Neva stop grindin’!! My Rating: 4.8

Overall: On tha back cover, it says #11 iz tha “3D” instrumental, but it’s all good, whether it’s on here or not. Anyway, what a great CD!! Only 37 minutes, 37 seconds; perfect length!! No filler, and Buck, you did tha damn-consistent-thang, here! Keep up tha great work! And, stay connected wit me!
