Radio Shift #100: "Tha Louisiana Pit" (Finale) :: Playlist Of 8.19.2012
Here's tha final episode. Most of tha plays are artists I've never
played on tha show before, or have a featured artist I never played. I
couldn't get 'em all, but I tried, as well as different albums from
those that had already played.
Due to being short on time, I didn't really get to do all tha statistics and all dat. So, hopefully, by tha end of tha year, I'll try to have totals, who set what records, and even have awards to those, "Tha Louisiana Pit" style:

Review #1,172: Big Wayne "Da Hidden Secret"
Reviewed on 8.04.2012 (Review #1,172)
Times
are rough right now, but I wanted to review this CD before my radio show
retires in 13 dayz: Big Wayne Da Hidden Secret; Bad Azz
Entertainment in tha buildin’ on this one. Start
Time: 11:54 AM | End Time: 12:21
PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything
after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening
to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or
talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’
topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

reviewed on 8.04.2012 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.
01.
“Can’t Fuck With Me”
Production
from Sean T. >>> Sounds pretty nice in tha beginning; likin’ your
2K12, updated voice. Glad you’re really
“gettin’ money,” and tellin’ tha truth, unlike some of these fake fuckerz I
deal wit, at times… Good shit you spittin’, hood/gangsta style, here! I also
like how as you’re gettin’ older, you’re soundin’ a touch like your brother, DJ
B-Real! My Rating: 4.5
02.
“Gangsta Shit” Feat. Doodie Da Juvie
You
on tha beat; I’m lookin’ forward ta this collaboration! >>> Sounds
pretty good; almost gives an older vibe, for me, wit tha production! Some hot
sounds goin’ on wit this beat, in a different style… Good collaboration; tha
both of y’all holdin’ it down! Doodie almost sounds a lil’ like Hatch Boy,
here; thumbs up! My Rating: 4.3
03.
“I’m Own Point” Feat. DJ B-Real
Let’s hear this, produced by you! >>> Strong beat comin’ from you, here; good shit!! Definitely “own point” wit tha hook, too; supastar status, here! This anotha good collaboration, here; tha both of y’all really goin’ on, consistently! Gotta show luv ta dat boy B-Real! My Rating: 4.7

04.
“All Over Da World” Feat. Doodie Da Juvie
Anotha
Doodie collab, wit Sean T on tha beat! >>> A lil’ calmer; sounds like
a good follow-up single, like I’d picture on TV or somethin’. A lil’ too many
“money” lines between tha both of y’all; I don’t think tha world ends wit
“money.” Example: I’m gettin’ my external drive fixed, right now; it’s tha
timing that counts for me, not tha $2,000ish it gon cost. My Rating: 4.1
05.
“Changing Like Da Weather” Feat. Ray Hustle
Thought
that was Ray Vicks on tha feature; lemme hear what this new feature sounds
like, collaboratin’ wit you, on this Sean T beat! >>> Nice gutta
attitude goin’ on wit tha hook wit a betta beat than tha previous one! I like
how you strongly addressin’ tha haterz ta “suck [your] dick;” go get ‘em, Big
Wayne! Betta rhymes here than on tha previous song, too; good shit! Now, time
for tha newbie on tha 2nd verse… Nothin’ brand new wit tha rhymes
and content, but they sound like they can easily fit in wit Bad Azz Ent., here.
Big Wayne, you keepin’ tha great definitions of dem bitch-azzes “changing like
da weather!” My Rating: 4.4
06.
“Same Ol’ Shit” Feat. DJ B-Real
Yes,
anotha brother and brother collaboration, wit Sean T doin’ tha beat, once
again!! >>> Good vibe, here; mixin’ a semi-club/semi-jammin’ vibe wit
some gangsta shit. :tu Lol, B-Real doin’ a lotta swearin’, here (not just
cussin’, lol); definitely feelin’ tha attitudes from tha both of y’all! My Rating: 4.3
07.
“Rollin’ 2 Pieces”
Self-produced.
>>> Can’t complain about dis; luv tha “fucked-up”ness, as always! I
also like that it’s not as long, which would fit good squeezin’ into a radio
show/shift wit wantin’ to have a lot of songs in it! My Rating: 4.4
½time: So far, real good and consistent; luvin’ tha
2K12 Big Wayne, and I’m seein’ that you don’t stop doin’ what you doin’!! Keep
up tha great work, as this CD’s
currently worth a 4.4 for me!!!!
08.
“I’mma Hustla” Feat. Money Bagz
Self-produced,
once again! >>> Sounds good; I like and enjoy your neva-endin’ mission
of bein’ a “hustla” and hustlin’ your
azz off! Good 2nd verse from Money Bagz, too; hope he’ll learn how
to thank someone for receivin’ awards soon! That could really be what’s up!!! Anotha good, short song, too… My Rating: 4.3
09.
“Keep Your Head Up”
Keepin’
tha self-produced jointz comin’ along… >>> Beat’s a lil’ slower, and
has some interestin’ sounds in it! “Smokin’ purple;” nice way to describe this beat/track’s mood! Lol, even shorter
length? Tryin’ to get a bunch of short songs for my final radio show, on August
17; will I be able to fit 100 within, say, 6 hours? Hope so; good shit wit this
joint! My Rating: 4.2
10.
“Yaw Ain’t Fucking With Us”
Switchin’
it up to a Sean T beat; wonder if that dude’ll discover me soon? >>>
Sounds like a “street” anthem, based off of what you sayin’ on tha hook. Beat’s
startin’ to sound like regular mainstream rap music, so I’m basically into your
rhymes tha most, here. Sounds more like automatic, positive-thinking-type shit,
here; I’ll give it props… My Rating: 4.2
11.
“All About My Money” Feat. DJ B-Real
Boring
title, but I should like it if y’all are in it. You’re on tha beat, this time;
lemme hear! >>> Sounds pretty nice, just like I expected. “$100 billz
ain’t shit to a nigga;” speakin’ of sayin’ dat, why can’t $500 billz come back?
Good job wit tha rhymes, even though it’s yada, yada, yada for tha 2010s
generation (“money,” money,” money”). B-Real, too, but this shit’s jammin’, in
a way. My Rating: 4.2
12.
“Miss My Dawg”
Likin’
tha length; you on tha beat, again! >>> Good emotions comin’ out,
here, on this nice beat you produced! At 24 years-old, I guess I’m blessed to
know that I neva had a friend die,
yet; hope it stays that way, although, exactly,
what are ‘friends’? Nice lil’ quick verse; you did ya thang describin’ your
emotions on this one! My Rating: 4.4
13.
“I Don’t Trust Yaw Niggaz” Feat. Lil’ Boosie
Likin’
tha “yaw” titles…; of course, you had to be on tha beat wit this one!
>>> Sounds good, especially wit your keys! Tha hook’s pretty nice,
too, especially tha repeatin’ of tha title! Thumbs up on tha rhymes; you
keepin’ tha consistency consistently goin’, Big Wayne!! Sounds like Boosie’s verse was
recorded through tha phone? Sounds nice and undaground, this way, unlike tha
mainstream-soundin’ shit he keeps puttin’ out/that keeps appearin’! My Rating: 4.3
14.
“Keep On Pushing” Feat. Strokes & DJ B-Real
Finally,
a B-Real beat; lookin’ forward ta hearin’ dis!! >>> Sounds dry wit tha
formerly-used sample, but I’m really likin’ tha classic, ‘90s/early ‘00s vibe!!
Nice, unique B-Real beat! Sounds like some good shit from Strokes on tha 1st
verse; glad to hear him again, and keepin’ his motivation out there! Ooh, nice
hook from B-Real; givin’ him a thumbs up! Sets tha mood
smooth…gangsta…gutta…undaground…; what else? Hearin’ you on tha 2nd
verse, and it sounds like you’re really
focused, Big Wayne;
definitely feelin’ how you comin’
through on this track, right chea! Got your “pillz,” huh? Gotta luv ya, Big Wayne!
Keepin’ tha A-grade outcomes comin’ along, we got B-Real on tha 3rd
verse; couldn’t’ve been betta planning than this!! Good rhymes; luv his
motivation and how muthafuckin’ cool
he iz!!!!! My Rating: 4.6
15.
“Get Ya Hate Own”
Endin’
it wit a beat from you. If this iz at least a 4.0 rating, then this CD’s worth
five stars from me (all 4.0 or higher ratings)! >>> Whoo, luvin’ tha
beat start!!! Real great sounds from
you, here, and tha hook’s pretty catchy for tha haterz ta “get [they] hate own!” O-to tha-W-N!!! Nice, semi-quick
flow comin’ from you, here; givin’ this a thumbs up wit your continuous
motivation! Nice 2nd verse, too; glad you’re on-guard, but be 100+%
on-guard for tha feds! Don’t wanna be screamin’, “FREE BIG WAYNE,” next! My Rating: 4.5
Overall: Definitely a nice job wit
this CD, Big Wayne!! Major props for
gettin’ five stars from me!! Also, it was great doin’ business wit you, as I
uploaded it to DatPiff! No matter how busy I was wit my internship, short film,
graduation project, class, and radio shows, I made sure that I put it on DatPiff tha day you told me to!

Video Appearance #14: Summer Intern Dunk Tank (+ Wham Cam: Binary Stars I Edited)
Even though my internship ended, I got to go in this morning (at 5:30 AM) and get dunked in tha water! First time I went in water since this past winter, lol? Previously, in Florida; too much time at my internship for me to go swimming. Anyway, gotta luv it! Comes in three parts:
Also, bonus: Last Friday, I edited a Wham Cam, and wasn't sure where it was gonna go. However, on Wednesday, August 1, it aired on TV without me even bein' enrolled in tha internship (since I completed it)!! Check it out:

Review #1,171: Beat Flippa "Street Certified 2"
Reviewed on 8.02.2012 (Review #1,171)
Comin’
up next, I have an anticipatin’ review!! This iz Beat Flippa Street
Certified 2; it’s been almost four years since I reviewed tha 1st
one, which goes down as one of my favorite CDs ever! I still have tha same anticipation
for this CD, even though tha times are not tha same (e.g., first semester at my
current college and Nu$$ie bein’ alive—tha GOLDEN
times of ’08!). Anyway, lemme get into this!!! Start Time: 8:26 PM | End
Time: 9:35 PM

01.
“Street Life” Feat. Mz. TeQui, Peabody, Looney Boi, Big Grizzly & Vaada
Still
never got in touch wit some of tha people on here (e.g., Peabody); hope they discover me soon! But,
for now, lemme hear this, especially wit TeQui on it!! >>> Sample
sounds like tha same one from tha ’89 album from Baby T & Devious D, which
I played on my radio show just last month. Beat ain’t too bad, but sounds nice
and smooth, here. Ooh, TeQui on tha 1st verse, and I’m feelin’ her
rhymes, especially tha cards! Real
nice of her to deliver these rhymes; very
consistent wit a great speed on tha flow! Peabody’s
on tha 2nd verse, and he sounds a lil’ like a BR version of Choppa,
in a way; feelin’ what he spittin’!! Great flow, too; gotta luv tha pace,
here!! Tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse (Looney Boi?) sounded
good, too; nice combination! Big Grizzly on tha 1st ½ of tha 3rd
verse? Sounds good; sounds like a dude in his 30s (which iz a good thing, since
I seem to have a lot of success wit networking wit people in their 30s)! Nice
job wit tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse (Vaada?), too. I
would’ve prolly expected a song like dis to be near tha end of tha CD; startin’
off seemed like a risk, but I loved all tha rhymes, here!! My Rating: 4.5
02.
“Take It Outside” Feat. Mutt, Derty, Dreezy, Rosha & Lady Lex
I
know TeQui said on tha last song that tha songs were possibly from “2010,” even
though this CD was released last year. However, still lookin’ forward,
especially wit Derty in this bitch!! >>> Sounds entertainin’, in a
fast way, wit tha “don’t start no stuff, won’t be no stuff” shit repeatin’ in
tha background. Ooh, some Beat Flippa keys that I’ve always luved; glad they’re
still here!! Grimy-ass Mutt on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit
some gutta shit; thumbs-tha fuck-up!! Oh, it iz Mutta Gudda (or, spelled Mudda Gutta? I keep forgettin’)!! I had
a feelin’ it was him ‘cause of his grimy voice; good shit! Now, let’s hear dat
Derty on tha 2nd verse… Lol, startin’ off wit a ‘90s style
(“biiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch”); gotta luv it! Thanx for tha hypeness, Derty!! Dreezy comin’
up on tha 3rd verse? Let’s hear what he got… Wow, lots of great “fuck a hoe” consistentness goin’
on, here; very hype (not like
screamin’, but great chantin’)!! Rosha on tha 2nd part of tha 3rd
verse? Nice energy; street girl, too!! Gotta luv this shit, once again!! Lady
Lex endin’ this off wit some rhymes tha pace of this track; good shit!! My Rating: 4.7
03.
“Polo” Feat. Dirty Bird & N.I.P.
Wonder
who this Dirty, with an ‘I’, dude iz; lookin’ forward ta this one!! I think
this gon go through da roof!!! >>> Good start; feelin’ tha energy proGRESSIN’!! Nice shit goin’ on wit tha
hook; always luv a “Polo” anthem!!
Nice shit from tha 1st verse, here; gotta feel tha “Polo” obsession,
as well as other clothes (e.g., “Coogi”)! :tu Nice flow goin’ on in tha 2nd
verse, here; it’s all about holdin’ some notes and showin’ some obsessions!! I
think that was Dirty Bird on tha 2nd verse; sounds like someone for
tha future! N.I.P. on tha 3rd verse? Was dat you on tha 1st
verse, Flip? I almost couldn’t blend it in, at first, but thumbs up if it was!
Good energy from N-to tha, here! My
Rating: 4.6
04.
“I’m Street Certified” Feat. A-One (Wissel), T.E.C. & Dirty T
And,
anotha Dirty person, lol, no less all back to back! Not sure of who tha T.E.C.
dude iz, so I’m definitely lookin’ forward to this title track!!! >>>
Nice intro from, I think, you, Beat Flippa; beat’s also pretty nice and
undaground, too!! Likin’ this hook, too; takes me back to them old Pyrex Radio moods, especially since I’m
reviewin’ this close-to two years later! Wissel sounds pretty tight on tha 1st
verse; glad to hear him, once again… Tha T.E.C. dude’s on tha 2nd
verse, and he sounds pretty tight! His voice almost sounds like he’s my age, if
not, a few years older than me? Entertainin’, in a street style, right there!
Dirty T’s on tha 3rd verse, and he’s got a Shell (Young Thugga)
vibe/flow, which I’m startin’ to love as I listen!! “Squeezin’ triggaz” iz
“[his] medicine”? That’s what’s up, in a gangsta way; definitely feelin’ this, and major props to tha 3rd
verse!!! My Rating: 4.7
05.
“Hold Up Nah” Feat. Peabody & Fat Albert
You
spelled Peabody’s
name as “Peaboy” on tha 1st track, but luckily, I was able to notice
tha error earlier. Anyway, glad to see another Peabody feature, includin’ a Fat Albert one,
too? Think this might be tha 1st time I’m hearin’ Mr. Albert,
although he been in my friends for a year or so now? Sure has! >>> Ooh,
you & DJ B-Real collaboratin’ on tha beat!!! Wow, this sounds like tha BR
music I love; great for these
times!!! Tha hook’s pretty tight, too; kinda like a “Money Right”, but in a way
I can appreciate it wit these undaground artists!! Tha 1st verse
sounds jammin’; gotta hold dat track down!! Speakin’ of “Money Right”, it
almost sounds like Tank Jones on tha hook; let’s keep it goin’!! Tha 2nd
verse iz here, and it’s soundin’ great, once again! “Tougher than leather;”
that’s what we ‘bout!! Likin’ tha 3rd verse, too; it’s all about
that smell and red light of tha bar/club!! That’s tha vision I’m seein’ when I
hear some shit like this, right now! What a great
beat ending, lol!!! My Rating: 4.9
06.
“Get Yo Dummy Up” Feat. Down Bad
I
think this gon be entertainin’; HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CAGE!!! >>> Started
immediately, and Cage iz just goin’ off, like he eatin’ through a whole entire
birthday cake wit his mouth, lol!!! I can tell this iz early 2010 if Supa’s on
tha 1st verse…; EARLY 2010, if not, ’09? Sounds good fa this track.
Crazy ol’ Jack’s on tha 2nd verse, provin’ dat he can rip a track
like Da Rippa can! Got a crazy birthday boy on tha 3rd verse, comin’
through wit dat flow of a character dat has lost his mind!!! One thing I luv
about hearin’ songs like this iz how tha voice iz delivered!! My Rating: 4.5
07.
“Purple Drank” Feat. K.Dot, J-Seven & A-One (Wissel)
Looks like it gon be an interestin’ collaboration, undaground style? Lemme hear! >>> Mike Jones on tha sample; interestin’ turn out, so far, as it sounds like somethin’ you’d hear while you’re on dat “purple drank!” Not bad wit tha 1st verse, so far; I like tha fastness in tha rhymes, mostly… Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good wit tha fastness, too; I like tha “purp on me” shit, feelin’ ready to set a mood! Last verse wit a Wissel? Let’s hear—no! Fuck, an a-tuned verse? Fuck dat, I just passed it up! Too bad dat’s gonna hurt this song’s rating! Not to mention, this was tha least-rated outta tha seven songs on here, so far! My Rating: 3.7

½time: Anotha classic-soundin’ CD from you, Flippa,
minus tha very last part (Wissel and that dick-on-dick-suckin’ effect called
auto-tune). Because of dat brain-suffering effect, tha average CD rating ain’t
gonna be automatically five stars, but it’s at a nice 4.5, so far; keep up tha great work!!!!!
08.
“Roll Dem Stones” Feat. Willie Wind, Fetti & Looney Boi
I
like Willie Wind’s name; hopefully, this’ll turn out ta be great, especially
wit tha nice title!! >>> Sounds like tha ‘90s for a start? Real
interestin’, wit a Beat Flippa vibe!! Nice and creepy vocals on tha 1st
verse, here; luvin’ tha ‘90s style!!
Fits really unique in this generation/decade!! “Flippa, I’m dependin’ on you;”
you already are in charge, ya dig? Likin’ tha rappin’ goin’ on, now; flows
pretty nicely! Not to mention, tha rhymes are consistent! Good job, Fetti; even
risking a fusion of “texting” into this ‘90s-soundin’ joint… Whateva tha real
hook iz, I know that I’m enjoyin’ this… Looks like Looney Boi’s left, and it
sounds like he’s a great partier… in tha streetz! Good shit goin’ on, here!
Props to wherever everything belongs, lol! My
Rating: 4.6
09.
“I’m Feeling Like I’m Living” Feat. Click Tight
Of
course (at tha title)! However, I neva heard Click Tight before? I know there’s
quite a bit of members, but I wonder why I’ve neva heard their music before?
>>> Cool beat, here; “feeling” tha sounds… Tha hook sounds pretty
tight; almost thought that was a little girl in tha beginning of tha hook? Iz
that a ‘90s baby or somethin’? Hearin’ dem rap on tha 1st verse and
it’s pretty good… Ehh, lyrics could be a lil’ betta (thought they were gonna be
on some gangsta shit or somethin’), but wit you on tha beat, I can’t escape
likin’ it! Tha 2nd verse almost sounds like tha 1st verse
person? Almost can’t tell, but I think some of tha lyrics are betta, this time…
Finally, a dude on tha 3rd verse (or, an ‘80s baby), and it’s soundin’
good—kinda what I expected from them, in a way. My Rating: 4.0
10.
“My Ol’ School” Feat. IL Duce, Jimi Jump & J.S.P.
Lol,
this again? Interestin’ dat it re-entered; still interested! A
higher-than-I-thought rating due to it’s tha Nu$$ie-Alive times!! My Current Rating: 4.5
11.
“Right Time, Right Way”
Feat. Lady Lex, Looney Boi & Veronica
I
think that’s Veronica—tha ‘A’ looks cut off, but I can see tha beginning of it…
Anyway, wow, you put a comma in tha title, like a normal person with grammar
would do; lol, wrong spelling of “right” on tha 2nd part of tha
title? Anyway, let’s see what this lady-lookin’ anthem gon be like…
>>> Ehh, kinda R&B; not too exciting, at first. I know wit Street Certified, tha last two songs
were under-4.0s for me; prolly should put this as one of tha last two songs.
I’m hearin’ tha 1st verse, and Lady Lex sounds great wit tha fast
rappin’; I’ll give it some credit…
Male style, here, wit Looney Boi on tha 2nd verse; good rhymes, but
why iz a song like this about five minutes long? A lil’ bridge-like 3rd
verse, here; kinda didn’t expect dat on a CD like this, but ehh, whateva.
Endin’ it wit some fast rappin’? Nice, since it snuck in! My Rating: 3.5 (sometimes, lengths
of songs can affect ratings; this would’ve been different if it was, like,
three minutes long)
12.
“Keep Talkin’ Dat” Feat. Young Neph, DJ B-Real & Big Head
Looks
really anticipatin’!! Got a nephew (iz it Nephew?), DJ B-Real & Big Head on
a track together!!! Definitely
lookin’ forward ta this!! I usually feel that right after a below
average/decent song, a huge one comes
outta nowhere!!! >>> Yes, Beat Flippa & B-Real collaboratin’ on
tha beat!!! Thought y’all were sayin’, “Nu$$ie, Nu$$ie Nu$$ie, Nu$$ie Nu$$ie,”
in tha beginning, lol; y’all keepin’ it “messy!” Likin’ tha hook, here; y’all
doin’ tha damn thang on tha beat, too!! I think it’s dat Nephew dude on tha 1st
verse? I recognize dat voice, and it’s soundin’ pretty tight!! Great job goin’
off on this beat!! Feelin’ tha 2nd verse, too; sounds like B-Real?
If it iz, what great blendin’ in this
track!! Then again, it could be you, Flippa? Lol, I love my confusion!! Let’s
see what tha Dome Doctor has ta offer on tha 3rd verse… Nice shout out ta you and “B-Real” on
his verse!! Thumbs up fa his energy, too; he’s supplyin’ this track in a nice way!! My Rating: 4.7
13.
“Big Gyrls” Feat. Nu$$ie & Trump
I
should’ve reviewed this before Nu$$’s birthday, last month. Ugh, it’s rough
when I had tha internship at tha local news station goin’ on (time-wise), so I
wasn’t really available for reviewin’ or anything. Anyway, gonna trust tha
DatPiff info, here, versus tha back cover (“Big Gyrls” on DatPiff info; “Big
Girl” on back cover). >>> Wow, a short length, lol? Could’ve had dat
for tha 11th song on here? Really feelin’ tha beat from you, this
time; love tha vibe!! Sounds like some female-type shit Nu$$ie’s dedicatin’ his
rhymes for, here; pretty nice, and I love his fast rappin’, which I’m not used
ta hearin’ from him! Lol at how his verse ended, in combination: “And I been on
dat (Nu$$ie) gin…,” lol; nice timing,
lol! This Trump dude’s on tha 2nd verse, and it sounds like a Nu$$ie
friend, flowin’ nice… Since “My Ol’ School” re-entered on this CD, I was
thinkin’ that an old Nu$$ie feature was gonna be on here, since he’s not alive…
Good thing I was wrong ‘cause it’s always good to hear somethin’ different!
Didn’t hear tha title? Weird… My Rating:
4.3
14.
“E.M.P.” Feat. Mz. TeQui & Lady Lex
Lady
Lex was on this? Too bad I didn’t know, but wow, didn’t expect this ta be on
here, lol! Speakin’ of songs I know, no less; good that this iz on here! Both
ladies do tha damn thang and as always, I luv
tha raunchy vibe!! My Current Rating: 4.6
15.
“I C U Lookin’”
Damn,
not on tha back cover? My bad if I don’t know anyone that’s on this…
>>> Almost sounds familiar, but it sounds like anotha Nu$$ie song;
good hook and great beat, here! I’ll
try and ask you for tha full ID; hope we do tha radio show interview ‘cause
someone like you deserves it, Flip! Good shit goin’ on in tha 1st
verse; reminds me of some great ’08 music!! Well, I know Tank Jones iz on tha 2nd
verse; soundin’ good wit dis shit! Was Young Sleep on tha 1st verse?
I heard, “I need my antidote,” but then again, someone else could’ve been
singin’ dat song on tha verse… Either way, when Tank Jones iz on tha track, tha
vibe iz always there! Iz dat Dizzy
a.k.a. Raw D.I. on tha 3rd verse? Almost sounds like him, and tha
vibe iz soundin’ nice on this verse, too! My
Rating: 4.6
Overall: Well, I thought this was
a real nice CD, once again, Flip!!!
You neva stop bringin’ dat consistency to tha table!! Keep up tha great work and hopefully, some more of
these artists on here get to discover me!!

Review #1,170: Down Bad "Da Final Four"
Reviewed on 8.02.2012 (Review #1,170)
Reviewin’
some Down Bad, right now: Da
Final Four; how will it turn out? Finally, an artist puttin’ out an
album! Please R.I.P. mixtapes already; NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO UTILIZE THA WORD,
“MIXTAPE,” AND PEOPLE DROP TOO MANY OF ‘EM!!! Start Time: 5:31 PM | End
Time: 6:13 PM

01.
Intro Feat. T Mck / “Time 2 Rock”
>>>
I have to admit, I’m glad y’all are only down ta “four;” no need to have a
person in your crew that blocks someone like me from FB, smh! As far as how
this sounds, beat’s kinda dry, and it jams in an okay/growin’ way. Cage, how
catchy he raps, as always!! Keep up tha great
work!! My Rating: 4.2
02.
“Bouncing Thru”
I
remember airin’ this on my radio show a while ago. Tha first two seconds makes
me lol; love tha instant vibe it brings and then, tha tight hook! Great job wit
tha production and who can’t stop “bouncing,” lol? I know I got this CD over
three months ago, but I could see this bein’ a playlist song fa me. My Current Rating: 4.5
03.
“I’on Fuck Wit U”
>>>
Great attitude here; hook explains it all, when it comes to tha great attitude,
here! Rhymes flow great over this slightly-faster-than-usual beat! Gotta love
Cage—HAPPY BIRTHDAY, by tha way, lol!! My
Rating: 4.3
04.
“Shine On”
>>>
I love tha faster vibes; beats keep gettin’ better, too!! Gotta luv tha sound
effects!! Ooh, cool hook; it’s all about singin’, and it works really good,
here! Thumbs up to all y’all rappin’ great, here; just thinkin’ ‘bout tha back
cover, I picture this song bein’ good in gym class! My Rating: 4.7
05.
“Erotic”
>>>
Slowin’ it down, a lil’; let’s see what we got here… Liquor in her body =
activation to have sex wit y’all? Still can’t picture it, since I’ve barely had
any kinda alcohol inside of me, currently (easily prefer dat green ova dat
drank). Lyrics sound good, here; y’all goin’ a lil’ more than what a typical
person would say about drinkin’ and havin’ sex. My Rating: 3.8
06.
“Power Up”
I
think I remember this one, too, but need to hear it again. >>> Beat
sounds like nothing’s really goin’ on; feelin’ tha Cage flow a lot better… Cool
topic, but for a song, I know y’all could do better; more words in tha hook?
Beat gets a lil’ betta on tha hook, though… My Rating: 3.9
07.
“Call Da Ppl”
>>>
A vocal sample in a Down Bad song? Please, no! Everybody does dat shit, and
it’s annoying as fuck! Hook aight, as well as verses, but nothin’ special for
me. My Rating: 3.2
08.
“Traitors”
>>>
Sounds like a funny beginning wit tha “ridin’ too much dick;” beat sounds a
lil’ better than tha previous one, too. Glad Terror’s holdin’ this one down!
Really lovin’ tha flow on tha 2nd verse, too; Cage or Jack, they
both do a great job!! Must’ve been
Jack ‘cause Mr. Hilarious, a.k.a. Cage, iz on tha 3rd verse!! L-to
tha-U-fuckin’-V tha flow!!! Ooh, JR Dot even spittin’ some rapidfire, too!!
Such great verses; err-body did such a great job, here!!! My Rating: 4.5
09.
“Believe Dat”
>>>
Cool beat start; y’all foolz wit dat SFX! Seems like JR gon take ova this
joint; nice job holdin’ down tha beginning, so far! I luv how there’s a 50/50 chance I’ll hear Cage… or Jack; can easily get an A+ flow from each track!!!
Interestin’ rhymes from Terror, too! “Sellin’ rocks;” that’s in your history,
Terror, at only age 26? Cool, for your bravery; wonder what triggered tha
motive to push “rocks”? My Rating: 4.4
½time: Feelin’ tha new album so
far, guys; it makes y’all sound fresher than when Soo—you know who, was around.
Anyway, a 4.2-rated
CD, currently!!
10.
“Addy Daddy”
>>>
A lil’ catchy, includin’ tha beat; I know others may think this sounds
annoying, but I can jam to it. Great job wit tha verses, once again; sounds
like Jack can shine wit his aura all ova dat 2nd verse wit his
flow!! Ruff, ruff, Terror; how ruff, ruff of you, lol! Feelin’ tha regular-soundin’
verse, Terror… My Rating: 4.3
11.
“Ack’n Like A Heaux” Feat. Tha Kidd AJC
Ooh,
finally, a feature; lemme hear! >>> Whoo @ tha beat start; lovin’ it!!
Sounds like some undaground shit wit a ton of firework sound effects (what I
mean by dat iz there’s power in tha beat)! Great collaboration goin’ on, here;
y’all know how ta handle tha beat in a great
way, especially wit tha flow!! Terror sounds like he fulla a lot, includin’
such a mean mug on his face!! Kickin’ ass wit dis shit, right chea!! My Rating: 4.6
12.
“Ridin’ Thru Da City”
Thought
it looked familiar, but it was tha “thru” in tha title that threw me off…
>>> Dry start, so far… Background vocals of tha title’s kinda too
much; verses are aight, but nothin’ much in tha hook. Ehh, an okay song… Give
it up for Cage, though, for savin’ this near tha end! My Rating: 3.1
13.
“Hit Da Hwy”
>>>
Nice and jammin’, here; feel like you’re goin’ real fast on tha highway, or on
a bumpy road, lol! Real tight hook wit dat catchy flow!! Nice job wit tha
verses, too! Lol, Terror hittin’ tha dancefloor? His fastness sounds a lil’
lolish! My Rating: 4.6
14.
“Numbers”
What
to expect wit dis? >>> Sounds like a catchy beginning; not bad, so
far… I can relate to this song, in a way; I used to have hundreds of Louisiana “numbers,”
back, like, two years ago. Now, I’m fine wit tha 200 – 250 I have. Good lyrics
fa a song like this, when it comes ta callin’ all these girls; me, it’s been
strictly ‘bout business, even though a lot of people are afraid of money, for
some reason, so I dunno about how good tha business I try to do iz… Of course,
Jack iz gonna talk about multiple females, here… My Rating: 4.1
15.
“No Regrets”
>>>
Speakin’ of tha previous song, tha intro to this song kinda has one of my
thoughts in it, too. Even though y’all have “no regrets,” I have tons of regrets of a bunch of faggy Louisiana people I
talked to, mainly after Nu$$ie died. I mean, why did I do things for free?
:confused That gets a “no homo!”
Anyway, great hook; fast deliveries goin’ on, and I’m still really enjoyin’
these fast vibes!! My Rating: 4.4
16.
“Pu$$y Off Game”
Jack
must be meltin’ inside of this joint; lemme hear… >>> Real nice
production goin’ on, here; sounds nice and muddy, sticky, and underground! Oh,
I recognize tha hook; might’ve played this on tha air, too? Either way, catchy
rhymes and flows goin’ on, here; y’all keepin’ tha jamz up!! My Current Rating: 4.4
17.
“Woah Nah”
>>>
This might be familiar, too, prolly through a previous review I did a while
ago… I remember tha bounce vibe, and ya gotta luv it!!! No way do you wanna
“slow it down;” gotta keep tha fastness up!! My Current Rating: 4.6
18.
“Close My Eyes”
Not
tha type of Down Bad title I’d expect, so let’s see how it gon end…
>>> Nothin’ really goin’ on wit tha beat, too much, but this iz okay
for what it iz… Not much to say about tha verses, either; ehh, prolly should’ve
expected this for a title like this and title. My Rating: 3.0
Overall: Just realized tha
production credits were near tha bottom:
Songs #1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9,
13, 14, 15, 16 & 17: Produced by Cage
Songs #2, 6, 10, 11 &
12:
Produced by Mike Sneezzy
Song #8: Produced by La’Keith
Song #18: Produced by Retawedville
Anyway,
this wasn’t too bad for a Down Bad CD; gotta finally get some future songs onto
my playlist ASAP! Keep up tha good work, guys; always showin’ y’all luv! Sad to
say dat I’m graduatin’ from my current college wit my Master’s in only 23 dayz!
It’s real great to graduate, but sad, in a way, ‘cause I always played a bunch
of y’all songs there; I will always remember those first two semesters…
